''Naturia Spignat'' (Multifunctional Tuner for 'Naturia' decks)

Hi y'all,

I decided to make a Cyber Valley-like card (meaning: it has 3 effects) for 'Naturia' decks which would be helpful in many situations (just as Cyber Valley). It's there to help out with Synchro monsters and Tuners, though. The most interesting part (imo) is the possibility to tribute it and give 1 EARTH Synchro monster from your GY or field back to the Extra Deck to end the current Battle Phase of either's player (so that you could use some Synchro monster's Ignition effect in the next turns again when you Summon it). Please leave some feedback; would be appreciated. Thanks!

EDIT: Modified all effects (thanks to 'Jsevillamol'!), especially the last one which now has synergy with cards like 'Naturia Marron'. Card renamed to ''Naturia Spignat'' (Spider + Gnat).

---

You can discard this card and 1 additional card from your hand; add 1 'Naturia' Spell/Trap card (from your Graveyard) to your hand. At the start of either player's Battle Phase: You can tribute this face-up card on your side of the field and add 1 EARTH Synchro/Fusion Monster (from your Graveyard or face-up from your side of the field) to your Extra Deck; draw 1 card, also end that Battle Phase (this is a Quick Effect). When this card is sent from your Deck to the Graveyard by a card effect: You can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower 'Naturia' monster from your Deck.

Fairly interesting card to say at least. Let's break it down effect by effect.

The first effect has a cost too high to be playable. The -2 makes it unplayable unless you could end game with the s/t retrieved, which seems too situational.

I agree in that the second effect is the power play of this card. However, while Cyber Valley reemplaces itself with a drawn card, Phantom doesn't feature that. Guess it is compensated due to the fact you choose when to end the battle phase, thus protecting other monsters you could have in field. Still, that -1 hurts.

And the third effect is nothing too special. You would be eating tons of damage just to get a +0 search.

The flexibility of it being a tuner is nice, but synchroing with this card is again a -1.

Overall, I think this card is underpowered for the current meta. Try to think of a way to bump its effects. ;)

Hey Jsevillamol,

thanks for your analysis! My cards usually are slightly OP, except this one; I think I'm just going to use your suggestions to change the effect for the better, e.g. just discarding phantom + 1 card for the first effect; I also may include a draw effect to the second effect to make it a +0. Synchroing with this card would've been something to do in case of need, but as you pointed out, it's nothing special. The third effect though is something I am going to modify a lot, mainly because the damage isn't worth the searched monster. I'll post a better version of this card soon!

Thanks for your help again!

Edited! The card now has synergy with 'Naturia Marron' and as of now, the first effect is a (better) -1. Additionally, the Battle Phase effect is balanced now (by drawing one card, just like Cyber Valley does). Thanks for your suggestions, Jsevillamol!

After the chages, the card has turned out to be an interesting choice.

The second effect is now quite playable, and the third effect has make this card a combo piece which gives lots of options to slow earth decks such as Naturia and pure Traptrix. But I would like to point out that Naturia Marron's effect can only be used with Naturias, which it's a real pity since it could do so many things for the Naturia deck. If you want too, you may include "naturia" in its name, though I'm afraid the artwork doesn't really suit the archetype at all.

My only worry now is that someone could be able to find a way to break the first effect, which is essentially a Magical Stone Excavation on steroids. So far I couldn't think of none.

Glad I was able to help. :D

Thanks!

Apparently I didn't read the effect of Naturia Marron carefully enough

It's a good idea to make this card a member of the 'naturia' archetype, but first let me find some artwork which fits this card (this is def going to be difficult).

The first effect is very powerful indeed and as I'll change this card to 'naturia', I may also modify the first effect to just being able to get a 'naturia' Spell/Trap card back to the hand (there are 6 of them if I am right).

It was nice to have your help. Kudos!

Now this is what Naturia needs. :D

Kudos to you man.

And thanks for reading my advice. Its a pleasure to help creative card makers who actually accept criticism.

Thanks for rating me as being creative! I appreciate that  Constructive criticism is always welcome!
