A DEAL WITH DEATH

A Complete Yu-Gi-OH! Custom Cards Set.

Hi!

I am new in this forums and recently re-started playing Yu-Gi-Oh! after 8 years :o haha, a lot of new stuff over here!

I made a series of cards, a complete set with a lot of possibilities. Starring two different Archetypes that work well with each other and that can create powerful but balanced Strategies. Well... I am not sure if they are balanced but you can tell me if they really are :D

So.. Main Points:

-The "Undead" Archetype is based in sending "Undead" monsters from your hand/deck/field to the Graveyard as a cost and as a result. Then you would Special Summon monsters from your Graveyard and even Fusion Summon from the Graveyard. Another feature with the Spell or Trap cards is the ability of be though in battle, Special Summon after destroyed by paying a cost or just "not destroyed as result of the battle". Finally you can make the enemy monsters become "Undead" and then use specific cards to take advantage of that.

-The weakness of "Undead" is obviously the fact that they NEED to be in the Graveyard and not "banished" or "removed" from play. Another weakness could be the high cost of the activation of the cards, you could tell me how high they are :D (or how low)

-The Art of "Undead" is inspired on the WOW "Undead" race and in a kind of "Zombie" concept, there are a lot of bones too.

-The "Abyssal" Archetype is a supportive set for the "Undead" Archetype, they are based on Special Summon Level 3 or lower monsters and use their combinations to Special Summon specific powerful monsters or inflict direct damage with the support of Spells and "Undead" monsters. They are quite inspired by the "Atlantean deck" strategy.

-The weakness of "Abyssal" is.. I dont know yet but i believe that a "Skill Drain" or something like that would harm them. You could tell me which weakness you find :D

-The Art of the "Abyssal" monsters is based in the WOW character "Sylvanas Windrunner" and a "Dark Elf" style. They are mainly female monsters and in "Lore" (not a specific game or book lore, just in my head) they would be the Priestess and Conjurers of the "Undead" monsters, protecting the "Abyss" and using its power to inflict damage to the mortal world :D

-There are 2 XYZ monsters and 3 Fusion Monsters in the set. I do not know how do the "Syncro" or "Gemini" or whatever monsters work.. yet ;D

-A Main feature is the ability to perform "Fusion Summons" from the Graveyard. I don't know how Un-balanced would it be, you could tell me :D

NOTE: I have not tested this cards yet. They have not been printed.

NOTE 2: THERE ARE SOME SPELLING MISTAKES AND SOME GENERAL DETAILS. (Abyssal Legionary has 1699 DEF haha, thats a mistake!) (English is not my first language so.. the phrases or punctuation may be weird hehe)

PLANS: Complete and edit the 60 cards set (there are 57 until now) With that set you can find a lot of combinations for Decks and strategies based on your playing style! :D

SPECIFIC TO-DO:

-Plans of making "Undead Master" a Ritual monster and get rid of "Sorcerer of Portals" and make Redemption a Ritual Spell card.

-Check and edit some Trap and Spell cards effect and maybe delete some of them.

-Increase support for "Abyssal Lady" with Spells or Traps or Monsters Effects.

-Check Syncro monsters and maybe add a couple of them to the set.

-"Secret Art of The Abyss" could be different, check effects and versatility.

-Add Support for "Undead General" and "Undead" Normal monsters. (They are the "Undead Army")
-"Sinister Contract" may be overpowered hehe.

-"Tamer of Evil" may be overpowered, increase the cost?

Finally, I would appreciate your Review and I hope you like this set of cards! :D

Just a few notes for a quick response:
- You have some OCG errors: nothing catastrophic, only card makers will notice those.
- Is it "Abyssal" or "Abyss"? Sometimes you mention the first one, sometimes the other one. Even thought the latter wouldn't work because of Mermails.
- Even thought I like this kind of art, it doesn't fit with Yu-Gi-Oh! cards. But oh well, they made Noble Knights... So you can ignore what I said here.
- I like the variety of the set, however, I cannot find the main focus of any archetypes. You have a theme for both of them, however, the gameplay is just too varied. Are those archetypes are rush deck types? Aggro? Control? Fusion-based? Self-mill? At the moment, I feel it's a bit random, as if it wants to be a "Lightsworn HERO Anti-Gravekeeper DARK Control".dek archetype. If I were you, I'd make only one archetype, but keeping the idea of the fusion and the vanillas. However, you effect monsters would manipulate your opponent's side of the field, and you would transform/summon the defeated monsters to your side of the field, and they would be treated as your archetype. Some of them would work like Paladin of the Cursed Dragon, while others would work like Mind Control. And as soon as you have them, you could use them for your Fusions.
- The idea of two corporating archetypes is nice, but actually I don't see the reasony why they shouldn't be just one huge archetype. Or much better: some generic cards which actually has synergy with cards outside the set, but with limitations (for example, you make them to FIRE Fiend-Type monsters, with this, they won't work with Archfiends, but they do with Lava Golem).
- Abyssal Cemetery is far the best card of the collection, and my favourite. It makes the archetype good even competitive-wise. I'd definitely would use this + 3 Malefic Stardusts with Undeads and Abyssals. It reminds me of the Duelist Kingdom version of Call of the Haunted. Awesome.

Hey! Thank you :D

-What kind of errors would them be?
-Sorry for that! it is "Abyssal" some times I make the reference to "The Abyss" as a "Lore" place, not specifically a card name, I just noticed that "Abyssal Cemetery" has "Abyss" in its description hehehe. Thanks!
-I have been looking around in the forums and found some references to the focus I would like to give to this Archetypes, I believe I would be reducing the size of the set to 50 cards so I can find a main focus!
-I got to catch up more new content and strategies, I just looked around for a couple of weeks and learnt a bit about the actual Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG, the last time I really played 5D's didnt existed D:
-Once I get new info I can actualize the entire set to be more compatible with other archetypes or external cards :D

Thank You! :D

You're welcome. I have to go now (but I'll check the topic tomorrow), however, if you can tell some details about the lore and theme of the set, I gladly help with ideas how to create the set as you wanted to create it.
