The Bōken Academy- a place where the bizarre reigned supreme, was beginning the first day of classes: August 25th.

Students came down The Road from both sides- some on foot, some on bicycles, some driving up in small cars, and a few even arrived via motorcycle. Somehow, the eighteen teachers and the Student Council President beat them all to the large double doors by a large margin.

Nakamura Isshiki, the teacher for Class 1-A, looked troubled. "I'm seeing too many Sylph Locks this year. I don't like not knowing what my students are," he grumbled.

Aonomi Yamato, 1-D's teacher, laughed. "I guess this means we're getting a demonstration of your psychic powers, then?"

"Not all psychics are telepaths," Nakamura grumbled.

Meanwhile, Rumika Yui looked over the first-years with a silent, appraising eye. After a few moments, she shook her head and tapped Nakamura on the shoulder. "Nakamura-sensei, I have an Office Order. Apparently I have to explain some things to your students. Do you mind if I wait in your classroom?"

"Not at all, Rumika Yui," he said, handing her the room key. In moments, she was gone.

And not a moment too soon. Some of the second and third-years were beginning to arrive, clustered in small groups. Snippets of conversation were easy to overhear:
"Do you think I'll be any good at this?"
"Ugh, Class 2-F. The sun will be in my eyes after lunch . . ."
"Have you seen Hirosawa anywhere?"
"NO! We were separated!"

The six first-year teachers stood in a horizontal line. "Everyone got their letters," Natalya Koltplei called. "Follow your teacher to your new room."

Nakamura Isshiki was standing to the far left, holding a sign bearing "1-A", written in a very neat handwriting. "1-A students, over here!" he commanded.

Through the large hole in the roof, a ray of sun landed right on the beat up couch that Joudas was sleeping on, in the old abandoned house he decided will be his home, for the meantime. He slowly opened his eyes, shielding them from the sun with one arm, as he moved his other hand around on a small, round wooden table, it seems he was looking for something, but the only thing his hand found was a piece of paper. He took it into his hand and got up, still sleepy, he did not realise his location "Where am i?" He sleepily asked himself, before he remembered, "Ah yes, the past.". Then, another detail he forgot struck him, he signed up to what they called a 'highschool'. He had no idea what that was, for decided to go there for now, get acquinted with his sorroundings, and maybe, find hope to restore the broken future the planet awaits. He moved his legs to the floor, and took a look at the letter. He read through it, thinking that he's lucky the japanese language hasn't changed over the years, somehow, or atleast it was similar enough. Although he couldn't understand why it said 'floating duck' in the last pharagraph, but he ignored it. He put the letter aside and put his hand into one of his pockets, but then he remembered that he decided not to expose his identity to this world yet, but after a short mental arguement, he decided that "Just this time", he'll drive to school with his titan, so he pressed something in his pocket, and the titan came crashing down through the ceriling, creating a larger hole than before. "I hope no one saw that..." He said to himself, then jumped nito his titan and flew into the sky. He was able to fly high enough so no one should be able to see him, but not high enough so planes could see him, and tried to park the titan as discretely as possible behind the schoolk, then, when he exited, the titan launched back into the sky, and he walked around the school.

'Alright, so i'm class A-1, right?' He thought to himself, and walked over to the teacher holding the sign of A-1, acting as nonchelantly as he could.

"Yoshi, if you keep drinking that soup like water, you're going to drown!"
Yoshi finished the soup and put the bowl down, before looking up at his slightly concerned adoptive mother. "Sorry, ma. It's just that, this soup is so great!" He always enjoyed Choku's Miso Soup. It was simply divine. If anything, the only reason he would get up in the morning was because of this soup. Other than that, he would stay in bed. "Choku, there's no need to worry," came a voice from the other room. A small, old, bespectacled head lent through the door frame. "He's a strong boy. He could take the soup if required!" Juro then jumped up from his chair in the other room, and made fighting gestures, accompanied by the noises, before pulling his back. "Baka!" yelled the old woman, "What do you think you're playing at? A clown! A jester!" Choku swiftly made her way over to Juro, who imediately seemed to recover and practically sprinted back to his chair and grabbing his paper. "That's it, run back to your chair! Hide behind your paper! It won't cook your rice later, though!"
Yoshi continued to watch this theatric for a while. It was the same every morning; Pa would act like a young fool, and then be chased around by Choku. It was rather entertaining. He took a sip of his tea, and looked up at the clock hanging on the wall. Yoshi gulped his tea down and lept to his feet. "I'm late!" he shouted as he sprung to his feet. He grabbed his bag and ran through the door, getting his shoes on as he went. He could hear Choku shouting something, but he couldn't tell what. He needed to prepare for the day ahead.

-------

Yoshi entered the front entrance of the school. His journey had proved univentful, if slightly strange. But for him, it was actually weirdly normal. He just found a 1000 Yen note halfway along the road, had water arc over him and miss him as a car drove through a puddle whilst soaking three other kids, watched a girl get crapped on from a bird, and walked past the same car, except that the owner was struggling to repair it on the fly. Yoshi decided to aid the troubled guy; after all, he had missed him with the splash.
A quick flick caused the belt of the engine to shift back into place, and the spark-plug to ignite starting the engine. He left the poor guy baffled as to how one flick could do this.
He reached an old man with a metal patch over his eye yelling "1-A STUDENTS, OVER HERE!" Yoshi decided that he would do his best not to anger this man; he looked like he still had fight in him. Walking towards him was an older boy; looks like he wasn't late at all. He decided to walk up next to the boy, and adjusted his speed so he was almost shoulder to shoulder with him. He looked straight ahead, and, without even looking at him, he said "So, come here often?"
Couldn't have gone with something normal, could you? He thought to himself. Ah well, let's see how this plays out.

"1-A students, over here!"

Ritsu, who finally entered the school because of that senpai who guard the entrance kept telling her to stop trolling and go back to middle school, heard and turned to the voice, it came from the old man in an admiral uniform who carried a sign with "1-A" written on it, glared at that uniform for a while, Ritsu moved her right hand to her watch on her left wrist and began typing something with incredible speed, she then let out a curious face just a little while before returning to her normal non-emotional face, this happened while Ritsu looking at the screen of her watch which supposed to show the time, but instead...

"Function "ICanHack17.exe" started.

"Class 1-A teacher's Nakamura Isshiki" Data matched.

"So a high school is able to have an admiral as a teacher? Never heard this. New thing learned."

Ritsu murmured and finished just like how her watch processed as strings of characters rapidly move through the screen, she then simply tapped "Y" to finish it and had it show the time again. After finished hacking the school network and got rid of evidence using a program she wrote by herself just to confirm the teacher, Ritsu slowly walked to the sensei and saw 2 boys who should be her classmate from now on already waited, she touched her ring on her right forefinger like pressing a switch before walked to join them.

Joudas was a little startled from the person coming up next to him, but he didn't show it. 'Is he questioning where i come from!?' Joudas thought to himself, showing slight concern on his face, before he looked to his side with a seemingly nonchelant face as before and answered the question "It's my first time here" before looking back forward and stepping slightly away from the person next to him,and as they reached their destination, and after that, he saw a smaller girl coming their way, which is probably another one in their 'Class', He looked over before turning his look to his pocket, and their back to their teacher.

Nakamura Isshiki raised a single eyebrow at the turnout.

'Not what I was expecting at all.'

Suddenly, a small device hanging from one of the old man's epaulets trilled an alert sound. He checked a small, silvery disk, taking care that he was the only one to see its tiny screen.

[ALERT: Class 5 military-grade technology detected. Class 7 military-grade technology detected. 7 sources of XvI-grade magic detected.]

The old man put away his silver disk and thought deeply on the matter.

'While the magic is an inevitability- I've seen Divine Radiance used before my very eyes- the military technology is unacceptable.'

He stole an aside glance at Class 1-B's teacher, the American Julius G. Springfield. "I believe your talents may be necessary."

"There is nothing whatsoever to worry about, Admiral. On this campus I can guarantee three Immortals, and I suspect a fourth. Should push come to shove, I have a favor to call in with someone who can erase things from existence," the man said softly, never breaking a knowing smile that had already attracted him a fan club. "Now, do yourself a favor and monitor your students. Appearances are deceiving, especially here. I've read about your infamous gaffe with a cockatrice, and I rather like my new classroom."

"Your disrespect is not appreciated." Nakamura scratched at the place where his left eyebrow used to be. It was mostly numb, but damned was the man who believed it didn't itch.

Springfield shrugged. "I've met a god, and she made me cookies. It takes a lot to impress me."

Well, I've never garnered that responce before, Yoshi thought. How strange. Ah, well, it's probably nerves. Yoshi glanced over, and saw the guy move slightly away from him. Never done that before either. Well... let's not dwell on that. They finally came up to their teacher, and waited. He shuffled his feet a bit, and overheard some of the banter the teachers were exchanging whilst looking at the walls. Magic? Weapons? This will be interesting. He looked back over at the boy again. He saw the boy look over, and by tracing the glance saw a small girl walk towards them. She must be joining us too, he thought, before returning to looking at the walls. After a few moments, though, he couldn't bare the stiff silence he had caused. With a small grin, he turned around to face the boy, and extended his hand. "My name's Yoshi, by the way." Flawless execution, but could work on the tone. Tens across the board, but the Russian judge looks unimpressed.

Joudas overheard some of the things the teachers said aswell, and began to feel slightly nervous 'Do they know who i am? Are they going to do anything to me? What if space-time--' But his train of thought was cut by the boy speaking, he looked back at him, once again trying to look as nonchelant as he could, so he wouldn't suspect anything. He did not understand why the boy was bringing out his hand, 'prehaps this is some sort of ritual that didn't carry over the times' he thought, before noticing that he was makiung the boy wait. "I'm Joudas" he said, and put out his hand to see what would happen and what he would do with his hand.

Ritsu noticed, both adults' conversation and her friends' awkward moment, thx to 2 of her funnel-like invisible bots she sent out minutes ago. She decided to help her friend before messing with sensei's business. Ritsu stared at Joudas who seemed to not know even a handshake, which everyone including even herself who barely had a friend knows, and still hilariously held his hand like that, she sighed before touched her ring with the different pattern than before. Another of her bot flew toward Joudas and levitated around his head. then she moved her right hand to her lip and whispered, which sent her cold voice through the mic on that bot next to Joudas's ear
"You. Need to. Grasp. His hand."
Ritsu then completely ignored, whether he did it or still do nothing so that Yoshi have to grasp it himself, and turned her back to them. She's about to used her watch to start an analysis on sensei's words when an unexpected message appeared.
"Ritsu is so kind ; )"
She typed back to her watch, emotionless as ever.
"Activate that emotions program without my order again and you'll be scrapped."

After a briefe moment of inactivity, Yoshi grabbed Joudas' hand and shook it firmly. "Nice to meet you, Joudas Priest," he said in a happy tone. He then released the boys hand, and turned forwards again. "So, looking forward to your first day? 'Cuz I am." He yawned slightly, and extended his arms upwards as a stretch. He then brought his arms down and placed his hands in his trouser pockets, and felt something. Curious, he looked down and withdrew his right hand. To his surprise, a pack of Honeyed Apple Mentos appeared in his had. He must have forgotten they were in his pocket. He looked over at the small girl, who was busy playing with her watch. She must be trying to sort out the time on it. He opened the packet and began to chew on a Mento. He extended the packet out towards Joudas, but adressed the girl as well. "Either of you two want a Mento?"

Joudas heard the voice in his ear and grabbed Yoshi's hand as soon as he grabbed his, and then released it several moments later. "Priest?" Joudas asked in a confused tone, before the boy changed the subject, and he replied. "Yeah, first day in....Highschool", he paused for a moment before completing his sentence, and then turned back to the teacher. A few moments later, he smelled something sweet near him, and turned around, then saw Yoshi holding something and eating something, and when he offered him one, Joudas hesitently replied "Sure..." and took one of the mentos and placed it in his mouth and started chewing. The taste was pleasant, and so he kept chewing. "Thank you" he said whilst chewing on the mento.

When Marie arrived at school, she started searching for her class, until she saw an "admiral" who handled a "1-A" mark, she first bowed for her teacher, and then entered her class. Everyone was amazed by her "Angelic" beauty, which gets her uncomfortable since "almost" every boy in the class was watching her, except a boy, who was totally out of the situation, reading a book. Marie wants to be more social, so no one will suspect that she is an "immortal Seraphim". She saw a gang, near to her, 2 boys and a little girl...  "Hello, my name is Marie" she said ...

Meanwhile, Daisuke, who pretended reading a book, was actually spying on the teachers, "An adventure!! Finally, I start getting bored, this year's manual sucks, I have already knew all these things..." he murmurs ...

At Marie's arrival, Nakamura and Springfield looked alarmed.

"Divine Radiance," they said in unison.

"Well," Springfield amended, "a weaker version of it, anyway."

Izanagi Rei, 1-C's teacher, walked over. "I found it impossible to ignore a Divine Radiance spell in effect. What could this mean?"

"It means trouble," Nakamura said grouchily.

"It means I need to have a talk with the Headmaster," Springfield said simply. "If what Yui told me is correct, then this is the most massive red flag at this school."

"Feh," Koltplei responded. "Just another spell, is it not? I see no issue."

Tsosou Haoru muttered something. The other teachers apparently understood.

"If that's the case," Koltplei whispered irritatedly, "what possessed the Headmaster to extend an invitation?"

To that, no one had an answer.

"YAAAAAY! Onii-chan, it's the first day of school!"

Akira did his best to ignore the bouncing bundle of cliche-kawaii-imouto-ness that skipped along ahead of him, but it proved an impossible task even for him as she went back and forth across the span of his vision as she wandered. It was like she were purposefully trying to shove her cliche-ness in his view. Sighing, he decided to personally intervene by reaching over to his "little sister"'s shoulder, and turning her around. "Aika, you remember the plan, right? Are you ready, Aika?"

"Aye, aye, captain-nii-chan!" she said, putting a hand to her forehead in salute while donning a very forced serious expression.

"Ah... I can't hear you," said Akira, as he realized he still had his noise-cancelling headphones on. He reached up and flipped the switch on them.

"Aye, aye, captain-nii-chan!!!" Aika repeated, louder, while throwing her hands in the air.

"Aika, don't turn this into Spongebob," said Akira, furrowing his eyebrows. "That juvenile children's cartoon doesn't deserve a reference in this. If you are going to call me captain, it is 'O Captain! My Captain!' like from Dead Poets Society, and don't put 'nii-chan' on the end of it." Akira put on a grand flourish as he spoke, but Aika was culture-blocked and unimpressed. She never watched Dead Poets Society and didn't care to either. She did like Spongebob though.

"But, onii-chan. Don't you like Aika-tan?" whined Aika, now using her puppy-dog eyes. She leaned into him, going up on her tippy toes, and squeezing her breasts against his chest. Her face came dangerously close to his, and her mouth curled into a seductive smile. "And don't you like it when Aika-tan calls you... onii-chan~♥"

On the other hand, Akira was gay and unimpressed. He sighed. You could tell in his eyes that he was sick and tired of this shit. The worst part was that he actually asked her to play this part, and now he was seriously regretting it. After gazing into Akira's icy cold eyes for a few moments longer, Aika pushed herself off her brother and smiled. "Nyahahaha! Aika's charms never seem to work on her onii-chan! That's what makes onii-chan so special!"

"Aika, let's review the plan," said Akira, seriously. More serious than he was when facing off an army of ten thousand Super Saiyans in another universe. "I'll pretend to be the bored, aloof slice-of-life protagonist who just sits there looking out the window, and while you go out and socialize. That way, you'll make friends and draw them in towards me." He patted a hand on his chest with confidence as he repeated the summary of his plan. Yes, this plan was perfect, he had planned it out a lot better than he did that time when he ended up having to face those ten thousand Super Saiyans on his own. However...

"I still don't think it's such a good plan," said Aika, and Akira twitched. "You should go out and make friends on your own. You can't rely on your cute little sister forever."

"I am Mythalos variandel Endymion Kaizer-Reignheart III, Fourth of My-" he began haughtily, flustered by a chink in his plans, but Aika just shook her head.

"Not any more, not until you decide to go back to the Higher Planes. Now you're just my onii-chan," said Aika smiling. "C'mon, onii-chan. We're here. Say hi to some of the people here." Grabbing his hand, she pulled Akira over to where class 1-A was supposed to gather. A large group had already arrived ahead of them, and they were already into introductions, it seemed. "Hello, everyone!" Aika called out waving her free hand wildly. "I'm Yamamoto Aika, but you can call me Aika-tan!"

Vienna was pretty tired, after she had to kill a couple youmas in her return home. She really wasn't expecting to have that kind of workout the night before the first day of school. She barely heard the wake up call, and had to run with a toast in her mouth. She was getting to late and there seemed to be no shadows she could use to- Oh, hey, there's one. Vienna runs into the dark alley, swallows her toast and... "Saedomen!" she shouts and jumps into the shadow, vanishing immediately. She appears back in another alley, right behind her school. She dashes into the door very quickly and reaches her classroom 1-A. "Hi, hope I'm not too late. I'm Vienna Forrest, nice to meet you all!"

By this point, the little danger-sensor on Nakamura's shoulder was beeping like mad, and he knew why- he had been set up with the class of ticking time bombs again.

'I must hope and pray that I don't have to see another use of Divine Absolution. Just got over the damned nightmares.'

"This can't be all of you, can it?" Nakamura directed his question at the short girl fiddling with a watch. She seemed the most rational of the bunch.

---------

Rumika Yui grew impatient. She began pacing past the desks in an irritated huff.

"Just because I can potentially wait forever, doesn't mean I want to," she muttered.

She sat on Nakamura's desk and began tapping away at his laptop.

"For being a military man, he surely doesn't change his passwords often enough."

Meanwhile, Allyssa Slates was still hurriedly driving around the front parking lot, trying to find a parking space for her admittedly shitty Honda Prelude. Thankfully she found one, although it was right next to a couple of SUVs... and that meant a tighter squeeze than someone of her state should really have bothered with. In any case, Allyssa just managed to muscle her way through it and quickly opened the trunk to get her things. Books, pencil case, folder... well obviously her lunchbox had to stay where it was; it was still the morning after all. After that, Allyssa slammed the trunk of her shitty Honda and took off for class.

...

Unfortunately, Allyssa's pregnancy had taken a lot out of her usual fitness over the months, and those 3 flights of stairs had drained what was left of it. As such, Allyssa practically slew to a crawl, her legs trembling and unable to hold her weight for much longer. That was when she found the other 1-A students.

"I'm sorry..." Allyssa was panting the whole way through her apology to Sensei Nakamura, "You wouldn't... believe... the traffic..."

"Hmph, no Mento's for you." Yoshi said, putting the Mentos back into his pocket to be lost for all eternity. How strange. I've never met someone who HASN'T wanted Mentos. Still, understandable. Maybe she didn't hear me...

"Hello, my name is Maria."

Yoshi turned to the source of the voice and... Close your damn mouth Yoshi! Yoshi had to clamp his jaw shut at the girl's beauty. Whilst not infatuated, he did make a mental note that he wanted to get to know this person. Yoshi turned a bit and saw, almost blending in with the background, a boy reading a book. He didn't seem sociable, but hey, you can't blame him. for...

"Hello everybody!!! I'm Yamamoto Aika, but you can call me Aika-Tan!!!"

His train of though was practically cut in half by the new challengers that had appeared. One of them, Aika, was a shorter girl with what appeared to be a set of cat ears (what), and being dragged behind her was a guy with spiky blond hair. They seemed to be siblings, or something. But he couldn't quite tell.

What kind of strange ass place have I arrived at?

"Hi, I hope I'm not too late, I'm Vienna Forrest. Nice to meet you all!"

Another had arrived, this time a younger girl. Not as young as the girl with the watch, but young nevertheless. Yoshi turned to Joudas. "Welcome to the house of fun." Just at that moment, the door slammed open, and an out of breath preggo girl came stumbling through. "I'm sorry... You wouldn't... believe... the traffic..."

Anyone else want to show up out of the blue?

With the amount of people coming, Joudas started to become slightly nervous as he didn't know how to be socialable in the past, and was afraid his cover would be blown, or they would start questioning, and as more of the people started arriving, he slowly started to back away back to behind the school, and when Yoshi turned to him, what was left was only an outline of where he was a few seconds ago. Joudas recollected himself for a few moments when he was alone then returned to the crowd, seeming much more calm then he was before, he looked at the people that are going to be in his class.

Marie was about to start a little conversation with that "Speechless" boy, when suddenly, she saw a girl, with "cat ears !! Kawai :3", She wanted to know her, since she saw total purity in her soul, but quickly, she retreat when she saw that boy behind her, who seems to hide a great sin, but she can't recognize it...

"Anyone else want to show up out of the blue?"  Marie actually smiled when she heard that banter, well she always did indeed, but it was only a "protocol", she hadn't smile whole-heartedly since her first day on Earth, cause she felt as everything was gone after her "Falling down", but it seems that she finally passed her crisis and able to start a new life with new friends, just right after that trembling weirdo guy run away (Joudas), Marie surprised Yoshi, who was searching for Joudas, and Ritsu , who was busy clicking on her watch, with a huge cuddle, she was just "So Happy I could die !! Finally I restored my Happiness" While yoshi and Ritsu were, well, shocked, Marie bowed and apologized for her "Childish" action  "wait... eeh, something is missing... oh right, I don't know your names >< :3"

Ritsu finally looked up from her watch as some girl she never have seen before just hugged her and asked for her name, and since she had done everything she could with the school's network, ignored some files that need passwords and cannot be accessed by any other ways, she had no reason to continue with it, even she found nothing related to the conversation. When she looked around the area where class 1-A gathering, there were several people, more precisely 5, who wasn't here before. Ritsu turned her back to Marie while touching something near her ear, something other people couldn't see. She then, from other's view, whispered to herself.

"A-chan, Identify class 1-A students' names"

"As you wish, also you can turn back to that woman now and speak what I'll say to you. She'll be happy"

After the first AI she made before she faced the tragedy, -Artificial-, the only AI that Ritsu named, replied from inside of her headphone with a lively and cheerful voice unlike its owner, Ritsu was now able to see the registered names of any of her classmates within her sight. With that Ritsu turned back to Marie, and answered without realizing the sarcasm lied within her provided words. And of course, with her usual emotionless voice.

"Cuddling someone before asking for their name? You're. Interesting, Marie-san"

Marie, who seemed not to be affected by Ritsu's act, apologized again "Well, you can take it as a kind of... "sudden" deep affection from your next roommate, Ri.." Marie shut her mouth up quickly before pronouncing Ritsu's name, and smiled to her, and praying that she didn't notice, luckily for her, Ritsu get back to "play" with her watch again, "apparently" she didn't notice, "Hope that she won't find out, she looks so clever that she can disclose my secret easily" Marie murmured, then she turned back to Yoshi, who was still speechless...

Meanwhile, Daisuke, who was staring covertly at Marie, "Think I'll follow her after school to see if she hides anything, she looks... weird" Daisuke murmured

Yoshi's mind was fizzling. What the hell was happening. First the Yen, then the firend, then the Mentos, and now this? That was some whacky progression curve if he'd ever seen one. But hey, he wasn't complaining. And seriously, who would? This was a situation only a few could even dream of finding themselves in, let alone actually be in. Also, it seemed the small girl had actually begun to take notice of her surroundings, even if for a short amount of time. Yoshi decided that now was the time to act, to cerment his friendship properly with the beauty. He thought of the most charming act he could, summoned up all his strength. "Want a Mento?" Seriously, is that the best you can do Yoshi? he thought. Shut up me, just produce the damn sweets. He pulled out the little packet of sweets again, and pointed them at Marie.

Morrigan sat at the table, eating her porridge in silence. The porridge was a family tradition passed down though generations, and somehow her uncle had got a hold of it. The porridge, or "The Grits of Dougherty", were oats that had been flavored with apple and cinnamon, and then cooked in cider instead of milk. The result was... strange, yet delicious. On the opposite side, Nuada was busy making something. She analysed it between mouthfuls, and had determined that at some point this heap of trash would, eventually, turn into an explosive of some sort. However, the amount of modifications required to the design to actually make it plausible and useful were great, and getting greater by the weld. Eventually, Nuada put down the clump of circuits and metal. "Well, little miss, whatcha think about that then?"
"It's useless."
Nuada furrowed his brow. "How so?"
"To start with, the trigger mechanism is far too convoluted. One misplaced wire and it won't even set off. Another thing is the fact that all the wiring is being done with electrical tape, and not soldering, meaning that it will actually just fall apart. And the main issue I have with it is there is no explosive or fuse present." She stopped to take in another spoonful of porridge. "I have many other problems with it, but those are the main three. I shall inform you of them when you fix those."
Nuada was in shock. This thing took him a week to get just to this stage, and apparently it was useless. He huffed and lobbed it over his shoulder into the waste bin. "Ah, well, you can't win 'em all. I'll probably make another soon."
Morrigan cracked a small grin; how he'd ever become a member of the old IRA was a mystery to her, because he was useless at making any form of explosive device. She looked up at the clock. "Well, I'd best be off then." She pushed the almost empty bowl towards her uncle. "Can't be too late, that would raise unwarranted suspicion..."
"... And can't be to early, because it'll be even worse." Nuada finished. "Yeah, yeah, I know. You be careful now, lass. Can't afford to lose you; your Pa would have a fit."
She got up and grabbed her bag, and opened the door. "I'll be late back."
"I figured."
And then she was gone...

Vienna looked at the people incoming and she couldn't help but wonder if this could end up in a battle. "Well, at least there's no gonna be any random musical number coming out of the blue every period, I hope..." She then realizes she said this last part out loud and meeps in surprise. She really hated when she ended up sounding like a cute animal, which happened very often with her. She looked at the people around her, hoping no one would actually raise the question.
