This is a Magic/Mecha style anime RP set in the future where there are 3 factions; the 2 main factions control roughly half the world each while the last is a split off faction which controls only Japan and Korea. The two main 2 factions specialize in either magic or engineering. The largest of the factions is the Eurasia-Oceania Circuit which focus on training combat mages but in return have lost most of their capability of constructing large machines which run on electricity. The UAA or United Americas and Africa, focus on the opposite. They train either engineers or pilots for Mech suits (Gundam like Mechs) and advanced Combat Fighters. The split-off faction goes by the name New Earth and is made up of fugitives from the other two factions and natives to Japan and Korea which have a small military and focus on guerrilla tactics they train people magic and teach them how to pilot human sized mech suits (think Infinite Stratos suits).

 

There are 5 stages of magic with 1 being the strongest and 5 being the weakest. If you are a resident of New Earth the stronger your magic the weaker your suit has to be and vice versa.

 

You can be of from any country yet be aligned to any faction so you could be from the USA yet be aligned to New Earth and so on

1. All roleplays must have the following rules posted so that they are clearly visible in some form, and all members must follow said rules without argument. Failure to do so

    will result in a warning, and not adding them within 24 hours of the warning will result in a lock. (These are collectively known as the Advanced Clause.)

    a)All IC posts require at least 4 lines of text, or roughly 100 words at standard formatting.

    b)Posting in script format is forbidden.

    c)Copy-pasting or “expying” characters without tailoring them to the new roleplay is forbidden.

2. As host I have final say in what happens and what gets accepted.

3. Players may have 1 character and control as many NPCs as they see fit. You can control NPCs from factions other than your own.

4.Copying powers or mechs from any form of media is okay as long as you change it to suit your faction. Any OP abilities are banned.

5.5 reserves are available to be a commander can control a Command Mech or be an Advanced Summoner.

Magic abilities/Mech: Magic level is borderline of 2 and 3. Magic ability is Light Manipulation. Can Light a dark area of up to 200 sq ft and can manipulate existing light in order to alter the apparent size, shape, color, location of an object(s) within 200 feet. Generally a Support type of magic, can also be used offensively to blind, either by overwhelming amount of light or complete absence of it (but not burn...this is luminescence...not incandescence). Mech is of moderate strength/durability, specializing in speed and melee for its primary defensive and offensive strategies, respectively. It's combat tactics can be augmented by the casters light manipulation abilities to make up for its lack of mid-long range offensive capabilities.

Gender: Male

Appearance: 5' 9'' with light grey hair just past the shoulder line. Outside of combat he wears a white t-shirt, a black tracksuit top and black tracksuit trousers. In combat he swaps out his tracksuit for a flak jacket and khaki trousers.

Personality: Quiet but will ramble on if he starts talking about things that interest him or is correcting someone. Has a laid-back personality when he is relaxed but can get snappy when tense. Spends his spare time watching anime, playing card games, reading, playing MMOs/RPGs.

Country of Origin: Northern Ireland (UK)

Allegiance: New Earth

Magic abilities/Mech: Is a level 3 Ice mage who relies on chilling enemies. His suit channels his ice magic into his spear which he uses to keep enemies at bay. His suit is white and stands at 8' 3''. The helmet produces a HUD in front of his face and protects the sides and back of his head and the lower half of his face. There are two receivers on each side of the helmet shaped like fox ears. The arms are made up of two small shoulder pads which are connected to clawed gauntlets by Kevlar sleeves. The lower legs are protected by two spiked greaves which are connected to clawed feet.

Gender: Female

Appearance: She is about 6'5", with a gorgeous face, but has a very scrawny figure, She wears A Black vest with Long Sleeves and an Black skirt, you see the tell-tale glittering of metallic shards on her clothes. She has Black eyes that often cast a venomous glare, even when relaxed, and Black hair that reaches down to her Lower Back.

Personality: She is Very proud, even though she actually steals scrap metal, and sometimes infiltrating the UAA and running off with huge Mech Parts for her own ends, she's also shifts between friendly and Territorial, but often very serious when fighting, usually relying on surprising her opponent with her powers when they least expect it.

Country of Origin: Sealand

Allegiance: None

Magic abilities/Mech: She is a Level 2 Technomancer who specializes in constructing "Mechs" out of the Surrounding Metal around her, as well as Repairing and/or Sabotaging Mechs (She has to be close range to do this though). She can, with enough Metal, magically put together a "Mech" roughly her size on her demand, but takes about a week, even with her Magic, to make Mechs that outsize the Mechs of the UAA, any "Mech" she makes can include flight and several other cool features, but she is not powerful enough to add Advanced weaponry, although flinging sheets of metal would do as nicely as an Anti-matter cannon, She can Indefinitely power any Mech, but it's easier to power her creations. She can also carry much larger pieces of metal than an average human, and has been known to make off with an entire Arm or Leg of the UAA Mechas.

Her normal Mech is roughly her size, with a special ring that, when spinning fast enough, allows for Levitation and Flight, but cannot reach high altitudes, the entire Mech is powered by her immense Technomancy Magic and usually has many shards and Sheets of Scrap Metal flying around it, but aside from that, it has no other weapons

Appearance: Long Brown hair and dark blue eyes. Stands at 5'7''. Usually wears jeans and a jacket.
Personality: Acts tough but has a deep sadness in his heart.

Allegiance: EAOC
Magic abilities/Mech: A class 1 fire mage. He can manipulate fire into various shapes and sizes ignoring the laws of science. If he is caught up in melee he will summon a blade of fire which only he can hold and not get severely burned.

Appearance: All that is known about Nine's appearance is he/she has shoulder length dark blue hair. and stands at 6'2''.
Personality: When around people Nine will withdraw from conversations and retreat to his/her mech.

Allegiance: UAA
Magic abilities/Mech: Like pilots from New Earth, Nine uses a mech roughly 8' - 9' tall. It is mainly black and blue and has considerable firepower. By sacrificing movement it can detach 2 drones for scouting and recon missions.

Gender: Female
Appearance: Rachel looks alot like her brother Chris but with hair going down to the waist.
Personality: Unlike her brother Rachel is loyal to the EAOC military. She knows her limits and will retreat from anything she knows she won't win. Her only emotional weaknesses are for her family, even though her mother, father and siblings fled to New Earth.

Magic abilities/Mech: Is a class 2 Wind mage. She can manipulate wind to increase the speed of her strikes with her sword and dagger. While being as a powerful wind mage as she is she rarely relies on magic for offensive purposes and uses it to support her physical capabilities.

Appearance: Short black hair, green eyes and stands at 5'9.
Personality: Intelligent, calm and intuitive are the three words to describe Trance.

Magic abilities/Mech: Uses a mech standing at 22' called Htrear (pronounced Het-rear). It is equipped with two shoulder mounted high powered plasma cannon and two wrist mounted anti-personnel lasers. For melee combat it relies on a 7' energy blade emitted from just above the wrist on its right hand.

Gender: Female
Appearance: Long purple hair and brown eyes.
Personality: Is impulsive and will react on what she sees. She is a brilliant pilot until she makes a mistake somewhere and starts panicking.

Allegiance: New Earth
Magic abilities/Mech: Uses a mech called Alveru which relies on energy based weapons powered by her electrical magic. Her magic is channeled into packs on the back of the suit which power the weaponry. Out side of the suit she uses her magic for offensive purposes by creating arcs of lighting and overloading enemy equipment.

I'm thinking about putting together a list of spells and abilities my character can use in and out of his mech so that there is precedence for things he does in the roleplay and im not tempted to make up powers on the fly. I'll add to it as I come up with ideas and will try not to use abilities right after i add them. If I remember, I'll probably start it here, tomorrow evening.

Just to answer Shinki's PM about NPCs anyone can control them. You just have to make sure that an NPC who is already occupied isn't doing something that is important. For example, I am currently controlling Yukiko, someone else can control her as long as there is a reason to the action.
