Reversed Protection Field: AKA "Stop helping me!"

Just a random idea popped into my head. Probably been done before, probably already exists in some for in some obscure card nobody runs. But the idea is simple: Lots of decks these days like to use monsters that trigger effects when they're destroyed or while they're in the graveyard. So, why not "help" your opponent by making their monsters indestructible? I could see this being used to make some troll-y decks centred around lots of bouncing cards back into the hand/deck or banishing to still be able to remove things or just spamming things with piercing damage and such to just chip away at them while they're stuck with a bunch of floaters and such on board they can't do much with.

Reversed Protection Field

Continuous Spell

When this card is activated, pay 2000 Life Points. Monsters your opponent controls cannot be destroyed.

I'm mostly just curious what sort of impact something like this would have in the current state of the game. I'm sure it's probably nothing that would be some main deck staple outside of really gimmicky decks, but part of me can imagine it being a decent side-deck option for facing certain decks that would run into problems against it.

Cool artwork, it really depicts the concept of the card

Lore

Based on my view, who's not the creator of that card, the secondary concept that you've suggested (which is the torturing method via piercing) would come in first.

The primary concept, on the other hand, which aims to null the effects that triggers when a monster is destroyed or is in the graveyard, based on what you're proposing, is very risky, and if the secondary concept would not be conceived or necessary for his deck, the player would not bother looking at this card.

Going back to the aim of the first concept, to make it more effective, I suggest making it "When this card is activated, pay 2000 Life Points. Monsters your opponent controls cannot leave the field either by battle or by card effect". this way the first concept can become more valuable the the second concept.

that's all. love lots.

I think just preventing your opponent's monsters from leaving the field in any way would cause more problems than it would solve for this card. Limiting it to only destruction immunity means you still have ways to deal with monsters that won't really be hurt by the effect. The main purpose of the card is disrupting strategies that involve cards with a "When this card is destroyed...", so if an opponent still has other monsters that lack that sort of effect or can be useful without it, then you're still going to want to be able to get around them without being forced to do something silly like MST your own Reversed Protection Field in order to deal with their monster.

Thanks for the feedback though :)

Sadly, I don't think many decks rely on monsters being destroyed anymore. Shaddolls, for example.
It would probably be more useful if you prevented your opponent from sending cards to the graveyard in general - maybe only from their hand and field. I like the concept, though.
