The Materialeech archtype, turn an Xyz player's materials into their worst nightmare!

Main Deck monsters:

 

 

You can attach this card from your hand or side of the field to a face-up Xyz Monster on the field as an Xyz Material. An Xyz Monster that has this card attached as an Xyz Material loses 500 ATK and DEF. When this card is detached from an Xyz monster as Xyz Material; the controller of the monster must send 1 monster from their Extra Deck to the Graveyard, then, if that card was an Xyz Monster, the opponent of that player can Banish 1 card from their hand, (add the card Banished by this effect back to their hand during their second Standby Phase after the activation of this effect). If this card is Normal or Special Summoned by the effect of a "Materialeech" card you can Special Summon 1 "Materialeech" monster from your hand or Graveyard.

 

 

You can attach this card from your hand or side of the field to a face-up Xyz Monster on the field as an Xyz Material. An Xyz Monster that has this card attached as an Xyz Material loses 500 ATK and DEF. When this card is detached from an Xyz monster as Xyz Material; the controller of that monster must send 1 monster from their Extra Deck to the Graveyard, then, if that card was an Xyz Monster, the opponent of that player can declare 1 card type, (Monster, Spell or Trap), the controller must then banish 1 card from their deck of the declared type. You can detach an Xyz Material from a face-up Xyz monster your opponent controls, then, if that card was a "Materialeech" monster, Special Summon 1 "Materialeech" monster from your deck, (this effect of "Materialeech X, can only be activated once per turn).

 

 

You can attach this card from your hand or side of the field to a face-up Xyz Monster on the field as an Xyz Material. An Xyz Monster that has this card attached as an Xyz Material loses 500 ATK and DEF. When this card is detached from an Xyz monster as Xyz Material; the controller of that monster must send 1 monster from their Extra Deck to the Graveyard, then, if that card was an Xyz Monster, the opponent of that player can set 1 Spell/Trap card from the controller's Banished Zone to their side of the field. If an Xyz Material is detached from an Xyz Monster your opponent controls, while you control this face-up card you can add 1 "Materialeech" monster from your deck to your hand, (this effect of "Materialeech Y" can only be used once per turn).

 

 

You can attach this card from your hand or side of the field to a face-up Xyz Monster on the field as an Xyz Material. An Xyz Monster that has this card attached as an Xyz Material loses 500 ATK and DEF. When this card is detached from an Xyz monster as Xyz Material; the controller of the monster must send 1 monster from their Extra Deck to the Graveyard, then, if that card was an Xyz Monster, the opponent of that player can add 1 "Materialeech" monster from their deck to their hand. If your opponent controls a Xyz Monster you can Special Summon this card from your hand, and if you do, detach 1 Xyz Material from that monster.

 

Spell and Trap Cards:

 

 

Target 1 face-up Xyz Monster your opponent controls that has a 3 or more "Materialeech" monsters attached to it as Xyz Material:
Xyz Summon 1 "Alpha Materialeech" monster from your Extra Deck to your opponent's side of the field by using the targeted monster as Xyz Material, (Xyz Materials attached to that card become attached to the Special Summoned monster). During ether player's turn you can banish this card from your Graveyard to apply the following effect until the End Phase: "Alpha Materialeech" monsters are unaffected by their controllers card effects.

 

 

Target 1 face-up Xyz Monster your opponent controls; detach 1 Xyz Material from that card, then, if that card was a "Materialeech" monster, you can add 1 "Materialeech" monster from your deck to your hand.

 

 

When your opponent Special Summons a monster from their Extra Deck you can discard 1 "Materialeech" monster to negate the Summon of that monster, and if you do, destroy it. After this effect of "Materialeech Coocon" successfully resolves you can Special Summon 1 "Materialeech Larva" from your Extra Deck to your opponent's side of the field, and if you do, attach 1 "Materialeech" monster from your deck to that monster as an Xyz Material.

 

 

Activate when your opponent activates a Spell or Trap Card: Detach 1 Xyz Material from a face-up Xyz Monster they control, then, if that card was a "Materialeech" monster you can negate the activation of that Spell or Trap Card, and if you do, destroy it.

 

Extra Deck monsters:

 

 

2 Level 1 "Materialeech" monsters
This card cannot be Tributed. You can change control of this card, (this effect of "Materialeech Larva" can only be used once while this card is face-up on the field). Each time an Xyz Material is detached from this card by the effect of a "Materialeech" card inflict 500 damage to the controller of this card.

 

This card is used for those pesky player's who don't use Xyz monsters.

 

 

5 Level 1 monsters
You can only control 1 "Alpha Materialeech Gedgex". This card cannot be Tributed or used as an Xyz Material. When this card is Special Summoned, destroy all other Xyz Monsters on the controllers field that do not have "Materialeech" in their name. While this card has an Xyz Material, the controller of this card must set Spell Cards on the field before activating them and cannot activate Spell Cards the turn they are set. If a Xyz or "Materialeech" monster is detached from this card as an Xyz Material by the effect of a "Materialeech" card other than "Alpha Materialeech Gedgex"; inflict 1000 damage to the controller of this card. During each of your End Phases detach 1 Xyz Material from this card.

 

 

5 Level 1 monsters
You can only control 1 "Alpha Materialeech Xecrule". This card cannot be Tributed or used as an Xyz Material. When this card is Special Summoned, destroy all other Xyz Monsters on the controllers field that do not have "Materialeech" in their name. While this card has an Xyz Material, the controller of this card can only declare 1 attack per Battle Phase. If a Xyz or "Materialeech" monster is detached from this card as an Xyz Material by the effect of a "Materialeech" card other than "Alpha Materialeech Xecrule"; inflict 1000 damage to the controller of this card. During each of your End Phases detach 1 Xyz Material from this card.

 

 

5 Level 1 monsters
This card cannot be Tributed or used as an Xyz Material. When this card is Special Summoned, destroy all other Xyz Monsters on the controllers field that do not have "Materialeech" in their name. While this card has an Xyz Material, the controller of this card cannot Special Summon more than 2 times a turn. If a Xyz or "Materialeech" monster is detached from this card as an Xyz Material by the effect of a "Materialeech" monster other than "Alpha Materialeech Yurex"; inflict 1000 damage to the controller of this card. During each of your End Phases detach 1 Xyz Material from this card.

The concept seems cool, but this can fall on deaf ears if your opponent is using synchros or fusions. Pandemic seems maybe a little too powerful, and the burn that they all cause is very minimal. Also, you may want to use different card images, since using official card art is frowned upon.

Thanks for the advice, good to know about the card art and all. I will strive in future to use more original images.

As for Pandemic I will limit his abilities to an extent and perhaps add some kind of control switch effect to hinder Synchro and Fusion player's, thanks again!

I like the idea, but I think the Anti-XYZ monsters should still have different effects, while attached to an XYZ-monster. And make the ATK/DEF loss higher.

Even though the images of the already existent cards fit good to the card names and effects, but it's confusing nonetheless. Mach weiter so, TokenMeister.

Personally, I believe this archetype has a lot of potential. I really like the idea of having an Anti-Xyz set. I noticed the limit of Xyz Material the monster can be set as isn't limited by one monster. You can attach your entire hand to an Xyz Monster to drop its Attack down lower. It's pretty interesting to say the least. The fact that not a lot of people use Xyz's nowadays though can be a crippling factor unless you Side Them for matches and stuff.

So by utilizing all of the wonderful advice I've been receiving I've given the archetype a complete face lift by using images I found in deviantart and google images. I think the Archetype can duel more effectively against Fusion, Synchro and Ritual based decks thanks to Larva, but are any of the cards over powered? Once again any advice or input is greatly appreciated. Oh and just wanted to thank everyone for all the great comments this post has been getting.

Im gonna be really honest here. I LOVE the idea of having monsters that affect other monters and in this case, the leeches affecting the Xyz monsters by using them as the xyz material to hurt them is an original and unique concept. Its like a virus on a computer or other type of malware, how it can creep in computers and screw it up by damaging it, The leeches go in the Xyz monsters and damages the monster and the opponent using those monsters. And 1 quick question. Does the Detaching of the xyz materials of the leech xyz monsters affect you or the opponent because it's a bt complex to me.

I glad you like the concept! I tried to make it so that if a materialeech monster is detached from a xyz monster, its whoever controlled that monster that gets the negative part of the effect. For instance if materialeech w is detached from a monster my opponent controls I get to banish a card from their hand, but if it is detached from a monster I control my opponent gets to banish a card from my hand. Does that help clear things up?
