Seven Sins archetype

Great artwork, overused theme (IMHO, don't take it personally) and it feels really generic, mechanic-wise. No special gimmick to make it really interesting. Lust is... I don't really know. Its limitation makes Special Summoning it kinda useless, or at least too slow for a Synchro deck. Also, you'd probably be better off making Pride a synchro monster. As of now, he's mostly a dead draw. Think Judgement Dragon. Oookay, I know that using Lightsworns as an example is a bit hypocritical seeing how plain random they are, but stay with me. Lightsworns can easily mill their monsters, and even they have problems Summoning JD. Your Seven Sins don't seem to have any reliable way to fill up their graveyard, so Pride's summoning condition, coupled with the fact that he's a main deck monster, makes it basically unplayable.

Sooo, yeah, make it a Synchro, or at least rework its effect.

You know, you could do something funny and abbreviate it to something. Like maybe S.S. (for DDD, DD, D.D. style acronym) or something else that would be used once the cards would come to the TCG.

For our purposes, I'm just gonna use SS. But that's only to make me type less. So here's an OCG and a criticism.

Note, on Lust, PLANT is capitalized. Also, cannot, and Synchro Summon. Interesting though, not exactly good. Probably remove that. Just have a "Banish it when it leaves the field" instead of crippling the speed of the deck.

Greed still TOO op. Need a workaround. When it is summoned, have it draw 1 card if you control another face-up SS monster. Much more balanced. Also, once per turn.

Envy: FLIP is capitalized. Also, no need to say search. "FLIP: Add 1 "SS" monster from your Deck to your hand."

Gluttony is ok, but its effect could be better worded I suppose. To be honest, its effect is useful if it has no maximum.

"When this card declares an attack, you can Banish any number of "SS" monsters from your Graveyard: This card gains 400 ATK x the number of monsters Banished by its effect, until the End Phase."

Sloth is good, but it needs a REASON to not be able to attack. Like a good effect. Like an armades-esque effect, so that its turn-delay is even SOMEWHAT justified. Still only meh though, even as this.

"If you control a face-up "SS" monster, you can Normal Summon this card without Tribute. This card cannot attack during the turn that it is Normal Summoned or Flipped face-up. If this card attacks, your opponent cannot activate cards or effects until the end of the Damage Step."

Wrath has the effect that made Thousand-Eyes Restrict get banned. Make its ATK 2400, because that effect is pretty radical.

"Other monsters you control cannot attack. This card can attack all monsters your opponent controls once each.  If this card attacks a Defence Position monster while you control another face-up "SS" monster, it inflicts piercing battle damage to your opponent."

Pride's summoning condition, coupled with the fact that he's a main deck monster, makes it basically unplayable.

Sooo, yeah, make it a Synchro, or at least rework its effect.

Word up on this, you need to find a more logical Summoning condition. How about he can be Special Summoned for free, and his ATK and DEF are related to the # of different names?

Pride - 2800 ATK and 2000 DEF. IDK it still is kind of a strange concept but I think you may like this.

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by paying half your LP, while your opponent controls more monsters than you do. There can only be 1 face-up "Pride, SS King". At the start of the battle phase, you can activate this effect: Banish up to 4 "SS" monsters from your Graveyard, then, chose and apply any number of these effects, until the End Phase, up to the number of "SS" monsters Banished by this card's effect:

  • "SS" monsters cannot be targeted by Spell, Trap or Card effects.
  • Halve all battle damage you take.
  • Attack position monsters you control cannot be destroyed by battle.
  • "SS" monsters you control cannot be destroyed by card effects.
