CharleneThePink Posted March 21, 2015 Report Share Posted March 21, 2015 Now that all of our beautiful Dragons Rulers, some of the most poorly designed cards in all of Yu-Gi-Oh, have been banned as of this most recent list, I wanted to recreate them as they were intended: Generic attribute support. The reason the Rulers caused so much trouble is because they all supported each other, and worked far better together than Konami ever intended. But with different types and some lowered stats, these replacements could essentially serve as an errata, so people like me who used Tidal in Mermails can still have easy access to a recurring level 7 WATER monster. Blazer, Dragon Ruler of Flames LV7/Reptile/FIRE/Effect/2300/1300 If this card is in your hand or Graveyard: You can banish a total of 2 FIRE monsters from your hand and/or Graveyard; Special Summon this card. During your opponent's End Phase, if this card was Special Summoned: Return it to the hand. You can discard this card and 1 FIRE monster to the Graveyard, then target 1 card on the field; Destroy that target. You can only use one effect of "Blazer, Dragon Ruler of Flames" per turn, and only once that turn. Grinder, Dragon Ruler of Stones LV7/Dinosaur/EARTH/Effect/1100/2500 If this card is in your hand or Graveyard: You can banish a total of 2 EARTH monsters from your hand and/or Graveyard; Special Summon this card. During your opponent's End Phase, if this card was Special Summoned: Return it to the hand. You can discard this card and 1 EARTH monster to the Graveyard, then target 1 monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon that target. You can only use one effect of "Grinder, Dragon Ruler of Stones" per turn, and only once that turn. Bubbler, Dragon Ruler of Pools LV7/Sea Serpent/WATER/Effect/2100/1500 If this card is in your hand or Graveyard: You can banish a total of 2 WATER monsters from your hand and/or Graveyard; Special Summon this card. During your opponent's End Phase, if this card was Special Summoned: Return it to the hand. You can discard this card and 1 WATER monster to the Graveyard; send 1 monster from your Deck to the Graveyard. You can only use one effect of "Bubbler, Dragon Ruler of Pools" per turn, and only once that turn. Vaper, Dragon Ruler of Breezes LV7/Wyrm/WIND/Effect/1900/1700 If this card is in your hand or Graveyard: You can banish a total of 2 WIND monsters from your hand and/or Graveyard; Special Summon this card. During your opponent's End Phase, if this card was Special Summoned: Return it to the hand. You can discard this card and 1 WIND monster to the Graveyard; add 1 Dragon-Type monster from your Deck to your hand. The Highlander Posted April 8, 2015 Report Share Posted April 8, 2015 Exactly what dragon rulers were supposed to be ... instead of being splashed into one deck plusing of everything and never staying dead. This would grant frogs a nice boost, however the very design of dragon rulers was arguably any interesting instead of encouraging mindless spam without fear of losing one's resources.
