2021: North Korea invades South Korea with backing from Russian soldiers, creating the "Sovereign Nation of Korea". U.S. goes to war against Russia. China, Korea, Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran, and Pakistan side with Russia. U.K., France, Germany, Japan, Spain, Brazil and Mexico side with the U.S. Russian side forms the Union Alliance (Hereafter referred to as the Union) . U.S. supporters become the United Allied Forces. (Hereafter to be referred to as UAF. ) World War III begins.

2023: Nuclear Warheads dropped on Washington DC, Moscow and Pyongyang. Both sides agree to ceasefire their Nuclear Weapons.

2029: Russian President Markov Gurlukovich is assassinated by radicalists during Olympic games. Despite claims that the assassins were Russians opposing the war, the U.S. is blamed by the Union, prompting the Union to lift their agreement to not involve Nuclear Weapons.

2032: Union fires their last Nuclear Warhead on Boston, only for the missile to be shot down over the Atlantic. UAF fires their final ICBM aimed for New Moscow, only for Russian forces to shoot it down on Russian Territory, but well out of the way of civilian harm. Both sides admit to having very few nuclear weapons upon the start of the war.

2035: The first highly advanced mecha called Xeno Armor is created by the U.S. with help from Japan and passes all combat tests. The Xeno Armor is given the name XENPABS Unit Type - 0303: Hagar.

2036: Hagar deployed in Seoul to resist occupying Korean Army. With help from local resistance, Hagar manages to fully liberate Seoul in a mere day. Hagars become mass produced and deployed in Pyongyang. North Korea falls, and becomes governed by former South Korea, become "The Free Nation of Korea". UAF uses the Hagars to advance on China next.

2037: Union spies steal the blueprints for the Hagars, and the Union begins producing the NPAXEBS Unit Type - 0521: Girlukovich.

2038: Girlukovich completed mass produced. Girlukovich squads combat the Hagar squads in Hong Kong. The battle ends with both sides withdrawing. UAF moves in once again, this time with the newest Xeno Armor, the GRXEBS Unit Type - 0013: Spectre, a stealth model, which quickly turns the tides of the battle in favor of UAF.

2040: A New faction called the New World Order joins World War III using Hagar's, Girlukovich's, and Spectre's, as well as a new Xeno Armor called the SCBA Unit Type - 0001: Kronos, and declared war against both sides, boasting a huge number of Xeno Armors, as well as a large amount of skilled pilot's they called Coordinators.

2041: New World Order uses Kronos to capture both Russian and the U.S. Union and UAF both disband as the remaining countries wish to avoid New World Orders wrath.

2042: New World Order stamps out the last of the U.S. and Russian resistance, and unites the world under a single government ruler. The world government becomes an Aristocratic Republic. Under the rule of New World Order leader and pilot of Kronos, Emperor Walhart. New World Order becomes the United World Republic (Hereafter known as UWR). UWR begins looking for more Coordinators.

2043: UWR passes the Worldwide Proxy Wars Act. A Law that states as followed: "Every year, 4 countries are chosen. Those 4 countries select 500 minors between the ages of 12-18 to compete in the Proxy Wars game. Within the game, each country is divided into teams, and will be given 2 weeks of military training, and given the chance to gain their "Class" sponsorships. After which, all four "Classes" will be placed into a secured battle arena, and are required to fight to the death until one "Class" is victorious. The winning "Class" will be given PTSD therapy to help remove and/or cope with any war memories, then reintegrated into society. The losing "Class's" survivors will be executed. Each country, regardless of whether they compete or not  will be required to watch footage of this, or they will face the punishment of elimination. Refusal by any selected country to compete will be met with subsequent elimination." Despite being selected, France refuses to participate in the first Proxy War. As a result, UWR shows them the severity of their punishment as warheads are dropped on all parts of France until it left as nothing more then a desolate wasteland.

2049: Old Proxy War survivors steal UWR weapons and resources and form a resistance army. The resistance, while successful, is still hilariously overwhelmed by the UWR, thus they begin producing their own Xeno Armors in secret.

2064: Current time. Selection for the 21st annual Proxy Wars has been completed.

You were a normal person. You lived a normal happy life. Hung out with friends, had school crushes, did homework. Then your country was selected for the annual Proxy Wars. At first, you shrugged it off, thinking "There's no chance I'll be picked". But you were wrong. One day in class your teacher, with a face so pale it's like snow, calls your name and tells you that a military transport is waiting outside for you. You look outside, and sure enough there it is. A transport car guarded by several armed troops and 2 Xeno Armors. Fight, run, hide, cooperate, regardless of what you are now a member of the Proxy Wars. You bid your shocked friends and crying families farewell and then move to the location.

A plane ride and gassed out trip later and you are awakened seated next to the other 499 students who will be your allies for the following month or so, assuming you survive that long. The first thing you notice is that you are wearing a strange collar, you try to remove it but before you can you notice that their are armed soldiers not far off, and Xeno Armors with them, which you assume are piloted. The second thing you notice is that in you are in a glass walled room, and that next to you is another large group of kids from age 12-18, whom you assume will be your enemies. Lastly, you notice a man with long white hair tied into a ponytail in the center of each room.

After a few minutes of you and the other students either awkwardly attempting to make light of the situation, panicking, or staying quiet, the white haired man speaks.

"Shut up all of you. As you were already told, you have each been selected to fight for your countries honor in the 21st Annual Proxy Wars. That's what I would have said if it were true. The real truth is that you've been sent here to die like dogs so that the rest of the world can know how f***ed up wars are. I am General Shu Yamaki of the UWR Xeno Armor division. Let me be the firt to welcome you to Warzone. I'll be your Proctor for this War. That means that you listen to everything I'm about to say.

First off, what will each of you be doing here? Well I'm sure you've seen it on TV, so I'll just tell you. You'll be attempting to form a military group called a Class from the s*** you guys have, and the s*** you guys will learn, then you'll attempt to win a war. You can do this one and only one way. Kill every single f***ing one of the fifteen-hundred pukes trying to kill you. Each class will have a leader chosen for them. We used to do this process democratically, but then we had to deal with s*** like smear campaigns, and recalls for elections. Nobody gives a f*** about that, so now we're going to have a leader randomly selected for each faction. That leader will then select 4 underlings. They'll select 8 underlings, and they will select 16 underlings, until you've gotten all of your s*** figured out. Should your leader get his incompetent ass killed, the first 4 underlings will choose a successor, who will then choose another to take his place in the secondary 4. You will do this each time that your Classes leader dies, until each of you worthless shits is dead yourselves.

Next up, over the next week you will receive basic military training, including how handle and fire a gun, basic first aid, and how to properly operate communications equipment. Most of this should come easy to you. If not, then you may want to consider suicide once the battles start. The week after, you'll be trained in how to pilot a Xeno Armor. For some of you, this will be easy. For others, it won't. If you cannot even move a Xeno Armor without making it fall on it's ass, then I suggest you don't bother and keep your stupid ass on the ground with a rifle in your hands. Xeno Armor's cost money, and if you f*** them up, people aren't going to want to give them to you. So leaders, don't put incompetent s***'s behind the controls of a Xeno Armor.

This brings me to the next topic. When you are released to your barracks, you'll notice a screen with camera footage of your armory, medical supply room, food supplies, and your general supplies. You will notice that each of them are empty. That is because we're not going to hold your hands for this s***. If you want weapons, medicine, food, even clothes, then you'll have to try really hard over the next two weeks while you aren't in training to make some company bigwigs like you enough to give you a sponsorship. You don't get sponsors, you don't stand a f***ing chance at coming out alive, supplies will be left to the leaders on how to divide them. Should they f*** it up, feel free to kill them and take their place. Some sponsors will frequently supply other Classes with items. You are allowed to capture these, but do NOT kill any of the workers under any circumstances. If you do, you and anyone involved will be instantly disqualified and killed.

Now, I mentioned earlier that you're all in a place called Warzone. This wasn't just colorful language, you're on remote UWR made island created specifically for Proxy wars, that we call Warzone. It's not large, but big enough to give all 4 Classes the space they need to set up base without constantly being in enemy firing range. In the interest of viewer entertainment, we have 5 zones here. The center zone is known as the City. That'll be the no mans land. There's a few supplies in there too, but entering is risky. We've also got landmines set up there, and a few criminal psychopaths thrown in for some extra fun. Of course the thugs won't be s*** against a Xeno Armor, but they won't hesitate to have their way with you girls or blow the heads off of the guys. Truth be told, we think some of them are cannibals into some kinky s*** too. Next zone is the forest. Not a bad place to set up base. The tree's are plentiful enough to make it hard to see ground troops and tall enough so that Xeno Armors can get decent cover from it. You can probably find some food and medicinal herbs in their too. Then we got the mountains. Not a lot of natural resources there, but it's easy to defend when your opponents have to fight a uphill battle. Zone 4 is the swamp. Strategically, it's got natural resources like game and herbs you may be able to use, but far less then the forest. It's also easy to defend here, but not as easy as the mountains. Lastly we got the Tundra. All I can say is you should hope that the snow gives you a bit of cover, because you'll have precious little there. And don't bother hunting either. I doubt you'll find a damn thing that's edible.

Next up, you've probably noticed by now that you're each wearing a collar around your necks. This will monitor your vitals for us and track your location. For the next two weeks if you attempt to remove the collar, you'll be injected with a sedative and knocked out. You might be thinking, 'why not just end our miserable f***ing lives?' Don't worry, you'll have every opportunity to die, but for now we need each of you shits alive till the games start. Oh, and don't even think about trying to attack us during training, else the collar will automatically inject the sedative, and you'll lose valuable training time, which you bastards will need to survive. Now, once you get into battle it'll be different. Try to remove the collar then and instead of a sedative you'll be injected with a poison that will first immobilize you instantly, then slowly and painfully kill you. You might think that this is better then being forced to kill some innocent f***heads. You might be right, but should you commit suicide while in battle, your families back home will be executed for your defiance. So unless you pussies want that, then I'd try to keep myself alive.

Lastly, some of you may have been wondering what countries you'll be fighting. To answer your questions, the chosen countries are in alphabetic order, Britain, Japan, Korea, and Russia. each of you surely has a reason to hate one of those countries right? If not, then now you do. Because chances are that one of them is going to try to kill you soon. So, better hope that you or a good friend turns out to be a Coordinator."

With that, Yamaki left, leaving you to be ferried out and into a barracks by the soldiers waiting behind you. Over the next two weeks you receive your training, and attempt to pull in sponsors. After that, you're deployed. It's time for you to forget all of those memories of who you were. All that time you spent laughing with your friends, time you may have spent with the one you loved, confessions that you never got to make, and things you never had a chance to say. None of those matter now, they're just superfluous attachments to a life you no longer control. Memories that shackle you to a part of yourself that may not exist soon. It's time for you to put aside your morals. Time for you to remove all doubts about what you must do. Time for you to survive for yourself and for your Class.
So, what exactly is a Xeno Armor? It's easy for me to say it's a mecha suit and in fact I did try to at first, simply because  wanted to avoid this kinda stuff. I mentioned some of this in a later post, but just to be more clear and to make this easier to see, I'm gonna put more detailed info here.

Basics of Xeno Armor Construction
While Xeno Armor CAN come in all shapes and sizes, the most popular one is the humanoid war frames that will take up the bulk of the military. This raises the question, why? Why make humanoid machines to pilot. The answer is somewhat simple really. Mobility. After several different designs, it was decided that a humanoid mecha with a pilot controlling the movements was the most efficient way to go for massive mobility increases. Coupled with the intricacy and design of the cockpits, the Xeno Armors are fully controllable, right down to the individual joints, and skilled pilots take full advantage of this. The other reason why a humanoid shape was implemented over the walking tank frames of before was to expand weapon use and proficiency. It also allows each Xeno Armor to be individually armed for several different types of missions. For example, a main weapon machine gun might be replaced by a heavy duty rocket launcher because the battle will require more of a heavy assault approach rather then a meet them on the front lines approach. It combines the strength and power of a tank or a jet plane, with the adaptability and combat maneuverability of a soldier. Xeno Armor on average stand about 6-8 meters tall, and boast a surprisingly low weight when not armed with any added gear.

Fuel
it should also be noted that Xeno Armors don't just move because their pilot wants them to.Each one needs to be powered by some form of fuel source. In most cases, the use of gasoline for the lower end Xeno Armors is sufficient, however in higher powered models the use of nuclear fusion engines have been implemented. This being said, there are more then just a few ways to power Xeno Armors. High powered Solar Panels have been used effectively on Xeno Armor before as well. More recently though, some developers have been using what they call and Arc Energy Recycler, which is an engine that creates it's own energy, and continually reuses it, amplifying it in the process in order to power the Xeno Armor. The battle effectiveness it has is incredibly high on paper, but no Xeno Armor has been equipped with one and scene live battle as of yet.

Keep in mind though, some fuel sources are dangerous to use then others. That being said, none of these are

Types of Xeno Armor
First, all Xeno Armor can be classified into 4 groups, Walker Frame, Combat Frame, Naval Frame, and Aerial Frame. Let's start by discussing what these mean, using the Walker Frame first.

Walker Frame - These technically aren't Xeno Armors to be honest, but over time people decided to classify them as such. A Walker Frame is your standard tank on legs deal. Unlike every other model, they tend to have no melee weapons, simply because they had no room. Nor were they originally designed to do battle against Xeno Armor. Walker Frames are the weakest, but also the oldest. These were used even before the Hagar models were invented, and were only kept after redesigns made them more suited to battle with Xeno Armors as well as the low average cost of production.

Combat Frame - This is the standard used Xeno Armor model. Humanoid structure, highly mobile, and always equipped with some form of melee weapon either built in or offhand. While they're designed solely for on-land combat, they still boast quite a lot of aerial firepower. The wide range of weaponry they can be equipped with also makes them suited for multiple different types of missions. They're highly customizable as well, and have the widest variety models.

Naval Frame - These are similar to the Combat Frames with the exception of them having been altered for naval combat as well as land combat. They have their uses, but in this day and age, they're rarely used outside of the Navy. Still, they're better better suited to combat in any aquatic battlefield, not just the ocean, so their can be some landlocked combat advantages with them.

Aerial Frame - Probably the most advantageous Xeno Armor model of the 4. Like the name suggests, these are capable of aerial combat, as well as land combat. However, because the cost to create a Xeno Armor capable of staying in the air for longer periods of time is highly advanced and somewhat expensive, Aerial Frames are not commonly produced and have only once have one mass produced model. Normally when Aerial Frames are produced, it's under the assumption that the model they create is going to be a one off, so they tend to go all out on creation, prompting the belief that Aerial Frame models are the most powerful of the 4. Aside from having the advantage of aerial mobility however, there's very little difference between these and a standard Combat Frame.

Weaponry and Xeno Technology

This is to explain what type of weapons do and don't exist, and why. The main question being answered here is that of Beam/Laser technology. It DOES exist, but let's be honest, which do you think is easier and cheaper to create? Your average assault rifle or a high powered laser rifle? Probably the assault rifle correct? Now regarding the advantages of both, pretty sure it goes without saying that lasers are going to be more powerful then a bullet, but which would last longer is also an important question. Laser weaponry doesn't require ammo, instead it runs on a rechargeable battery system. Obviously recharging a battery doesn't work well in combat though, thus we come to the advantages that ammunition based weaponry has over lasers. Not only do ammunition weapons tend to last longer, but they can also be reloaded quickly in battle when the clip empties. Speed is also a factor. Laser weaponry isn't particularly a new technology, as it's been around for about 25-30 years, but it is still under development. Most lasers are only capable of firing a single sustained shot, and there are no automatic laser rifles. However ammunition weapons are nothing new and have been used for quite some time now, meaning that automatic weapons are possible with these types of guns.

There are other advantages to using laser or ammunition weapons too. Laser weapons will deal more damage to a Xeno Armors direct body then a bullet will. So naturally laser weapons would be the clear choice for Xeno Armor combat. However, a Xeno Armor equipped with an Overshield will have more of an advantage against laser weapons. Overshields will block any laser related damage, but have no effect on ammunition based weapons. Overshields are not uncommon either. Most Xeno Armor, even mass produced models are given Overshields. However, Overshields operate on a separate battery system similarly to laser weaponry. They have quite a lot of battery life in comparison to weapons though. Mainly because battery life is expended to block the laser blasts. Naturally Overshields will have no effect on melee weapons. It's important to also note that a Xeno Armors armor and their Overshields are two different things. The armor is generally applied to the direct frame of the model and will offer more defense against bullets, but little if any defense against lasers.

Now for beam weaponry. These are kind of a special case, at least here. The difference between laser and beam weapons is a lot more simple then one would expect. Beam weapons, rather then a single shot, are released in a very high powered concentrated blast. They're still stopped by Overshields, by the level and length of the attack ultimately manages to overwhelm the Overshield, and almost always destroys the Xeno Armor as well. Now naturally these are very expensive because of their overall power and because of the difficulty in making them, as well as the rarity of them. Keeping all this in mind, Beam weapons, assuming they appear at all, will be rare. It IS possible to put beam weapons into a melee weapon form, but naturally there are drawbacks.

Now let's actually talk about melee weapons. I mentioned earlier that each Xeno Armor with the exception of Walker Frames are armed with melee weapons before, but what kind of weapons are their? Well there are three basic weapons for this section, aside from a Xeno Armor's own fists. Pile Bunkers, High Frequency Blades, and Beam Sabers.

Let's start with Pile Bunkers. Since I'm sure a lot of people don't really know what that is, a Pile Bunker is a large metal spike, that works similarly to a jack hammer, with the difference being that a jack hammer will continuously pound on whatever it's hitting, a Pile Bunker will only strike once before retracting. Pile Bunkers work by releasing a small chemical or electrical charge, to launch the spike at a high velocity, meaning that these weapons are very powerful and highly effective against heavily armored Xeno Armor, but it they are unfortunately somewhat slow and limited by an ammo count of how many charges the Pile Bunker has.

Next up are High Frequency blades. These are probably the most balanced of the melee weapons. An HF blade is a weapon that is reinforced by a powerful alternating current through the blade that resonates at extremely high frequencies, thus the name High Frequency blade. The oscillation weakens the molecular bonds of what the weapon strikes, therefor increasing the cutting power of the weapon (honestly the exact science behind it is kind of confusing but that's my basic understand). HF blades take very little energy to operate, and can be geared to operate off of the Xeno Armor's own energy as well. This makes them highly versatile and fairly cheap and easy to produce, thus they're a commonly used weapon for Xeno Armors. They work better then one would expect too. It should be noted too that HF blades design is not limited to that of a swords either. Any melee weapon can be made into an HF blade.

Lastly, we have Beam Sabers. In the early days of laser technology, these were quite popular. After all, they have a pretty decent damage ratio against armored Xeno Armors, and are faster then a Pile Bunker. However now they're probably the most inferior and least used weapon. Why? Well unlike Pile Bunkers and HF blades, they use lasers to produce the blades. This means that not only will Overshields stop them, but that they're limited by a batteries power, more expensive and difficult to make then an HF blade or a Pile Bunker, and only cut slightly better then an HF blade too. So while they are an option, it's not recommended that you use them.

All melee weapons can be equipped offhand as well, so don't think that you're limited to one gun and one melee weapon either. Just list (off-hand) next to the weapon, and place it beneath the main weapon if you choose to have another. Also, these are not the only melee weapons available too, only the most common. Whatever you can come up with can be a melee weapon, which brings me to the Sponsorship part. Sponsorship plays a large role in this rp, but at the same time, everyone is going to want some control over their Xeno Armor. Also I'm not a huge gun nut so I'm not going to be specifying exactly what weapons you get. All I'll do is say something along the lines of "Japan received a sponsorship of automatic Xeno Armor weapons" or something, and leave the exact content up to you. That way you'll get more freedom to customize them none at all.

Lastly, there are a few other standard equipment I'm going to go over. The cockpit for each Xeno Armor with the exception of Walker Frames, are located in the chest of the unit, and all of them double as an ejection pod for when a Xeno Armor becomes heavily damaged. The main camera is located in the head, but extra cameras are also located just above the cockpit too. It's recommended that these extra camera's only be used as back up should the man camera be destroyed, since they pick up less information and don't accurately give a sense of the machine's scale and body part locations. Each of them naturally also has a radar system that picks up Xeno Armor energy signals.

Customizations would include parts like Enhanced Radar sensors, extended ammunition clips, extra fuel tanks, and other minor upgrades made to the Xeno Armor.

Mass Produced Xeno Armors
So these will likely be the starting Xeno Armor's for a lot of you. Eventually, each of you will have a customized Xeno Armor to however you want it, but I just can't find a reasonable excuse for why everyone would have companies paying exorbitant amounts of money to produce a single Xeno Armor for a child who is not battle tested and only had a week of pilot training before being deployed. So in order to get those custom Xeno Armors, you need to prove to the companies that you're capable of handling a mass produced model. Having said this you do deserve to know what you'd be dealing with. I won't go into detail about all of the mass produced models, since frankly there would be and are going to be quite a few, and you'll each be receiving different models, but this should give a basic understanding.

That's the basics of how they'll look. At least one Class will probably get that exact model too. Not all of them will come pre-equipped either, and the one's that do you're free to change the equipment if you want to. Like I said, this is just a basic example of them.

Hopefully this clears up any questions anyone might have had. If there's anything that I missed and you want answered, please let me know so that I can answer to the best of my ability.
1. Gonna go out on a limb here and say we all know this, but all YCM rules and regulations apply.

2. Listen to me and the co-host (should there be one). Honestly, I'm not really that unreasonable so if you don't like something I said then talk to me and we might be able to work it out.

3. YOU WILL NOT BE CHOOSING YOUR OWN XENO ARMOR! I mentioned in the plot that part of what you need to do is pull in sponsorships, and I'm holding to that. If you want your team to have weapons, armor, food, medicine, clothes, etc. then make your character likable enough so that someone will want to spend exorbitant amounts of money to keep your character alive. I'll state when certain characters have earned sponsorships and what they earn here. Subsequently, if you don't see a message reading that a Xeno Armor has been sent to you, then you'll have to pilot one of the mass produced models, assuming that you're sent any. This does not mean that you won't get any down the road though, so if you don't get a custom Xeno Armor then don't worry. Just show that your character is a sick enough badass to warrant getting one.

4. Following rule 3, don't complain about what you get. If you don't get supplies that you're not happy with, then suck it up. I'll be evenly distributing supplies for the most part, as long as each Class has interesting characters. Also, don't ask for specific supplies. Instead gear your character towards making people want to give them the supplies you want.

5. Read the plot, Xeno Armor, and the Timeline sections or you will not be allowed to join. This should go without saying but I've had this happen so often in other case that I'm just making it an official rule.

6. Don't worry about language barriers. This takes place in one of those universes where the only language anyone speaks is English. Just to make this easier. This was probably implied, but I thought I should add it in just in case.

7. Enjoy yourself, and try not to get killed to fast.

Okay, normally this wouldn't be here, but I think that with the amount of radiation that the world went through that a few special races will have emerged. I know that's not how that really works, but apparently most sci-fi genre things don't. Honestly just be happy that a world still exists.

Humans - You all know what these are. They're more or less a jack of all trades race. Good in all areas, but best in none.

Coordinators - Pretty much the same as humans but with one minor edge. Coordinators are able to process information at ten times the speed of any other race. This means that they're able to understand complex machinery and problems far easier then any other race. This makes them well suited for Xeno Armor piloting. However, as the amount of radiation required for a person to become a Coordinator is so specific and the fact that they need to be exposed to said radiation while still in the womb, Coordinators are somewhat rare. To put it simply, they're basically Newtypes without the space adapting thing.

Beast-kin - Yup. Some weirdo finally managed to impregnate an animal and cause it to give birth to a Beast-kin. They're usually not too different from humans. No cases of Beast-kin coming out having anything extra other then a tail or ears has been reported as of yet. They're usually pretty quick on their feet and boast a higher physical capability then humans and Coordinators, making them well suited for ground soldiers but they're not as good with machines, so they're usually poor Xeno Armor pilots. They can easily make up for this with their ability to outmaneuver most mass produced Xeno Armor weapons on foot, get onto the armor, and disable or even hijack the Xeno Armor.

Cyborgs - Yeah somewhere down the road humanity learned how to replace missing or damaged parts with cybernetic ones. To be clear, these are more Ghost in the Shell style cybernetics and less Deus Ex cybernetics. They have higher physical durability, and can turn up their pain inhibitors to make them more combat effective, but they're more or less average in every other regard.

Ogres - Pretty much the Super Mutants from Fallout. They're all rather low intelligence with many being downright retarded, but they're strong enough to smash in a persons head with their bare hands, so don't piss them off. These actually aren't going to be selectable as a main race, simply because they're too stupid to make anything interesting out of them. They're only even listed because they'll be appearing as NPC's maybe.

Mixed - Yes you can mix up some of these. The only mixes I'm specifically banning is Coordinator and Ogre and Coordinator and human. Simply because super genius and utter buffoon mix doesn't make sense and the other two are more or less the same thing.

Some times, I wish I wasn't born a Coordinator... In this world, having never been born at all might have been better... But now, I'm glad that I was. There're people who I need to protect here.

Username: Yosuke-kun
Character Name: Riku Satsura

Age: 17

Birthday: August 6th
Race: Coordinator
Class: Japan

Class Rank: N/A

Personality: Riku is a kind, respectful, almost timid boy. He's not quick to open up to people, and always feels awkward when he does, even if he wanted to do so. This isn't to say he does not trust them, he simply prefers to keeps his personal affairs to himself. In conversations, he can come off as somewhat nerdy, given his huge affinity for American comic books and his love for manga and anime. He's often times made references to anime or comics, ad still does now. In a pinch however, Riku can become a force to be reckoned with. His sense of justice is strong, and he's brave or crazy enough to try things that the thought of doing would drive people away. He often times knows when he's smarter then people, and sometimes has a problem with flaunting this when he has too, but normally he avoids conflicts like that. Because of sense of justice, he feels he has to protect every one of his comrades, and feels personally responsible when one of them is hurt or dies.
Biography: Riku was born into a broken home. For starters, he was a bastard child, with the literal meaning here. His father impregnated his mother, then left to fight in the resistance before his mother Satsuki even knew that she was carrying. He's always had that on his shoulders, but it's strangely never bothered him much. When he entered school, the teachers all seemed to marvel around him, since he was always ahead of his class by a considerably large degree. In some cases he was even faster to answer questions then the teachers were. Unfortunately, this quality made it hard for Riku to make friends, no matter how hard he tried. Things only got worse for him too, as his mother died of radiation sickness on his 7th birthday. Thus, Riku was moved into a foster control program. For the next 10 years he would spend his life living in a dorm room with his roommate Shinji Ito.

When he 14, Riku was called in for testing at school, and was deemed to have an IQ of 295. After that, he was sent to another facility where he received special testing to see if he was a Coordinator. Fortunately as luck had it, Riku overheard one of the workers saying that UWR had been rounding up Coordinators and sending them to some base in the middle east. This bit of info helped Shinji to fail the Coordinator test by just enough to avert suspicion. However this wasn't the only time they'd tested Riku. Each time he falsified his failure to avoid being found out as a Coordinator, which after having been done and intentionally failed the first test he found out he was. This didn't really help with Riku's social status at school either. A lot of the kids all thought he was some kind of freak for being tested as often as he was when most of them had never even been tested.

Once he got to high school that kind of stuff changed. Some of the people started to like him because he was as fast on the draw as he was. Even if they were all outcasts, they made Riku feel as if he wasn't alone anymore. When he was upset, they'd cheer him up. They'd talk with him about comics and anime that they each liked, and they'd even celebrate his birthday with him, something that nobody had done for him since his mother died. So for the first time, Riku was happy. Until one day his teacher received a call telling him to send Riku to the school gates, and that he was chosen to participate in the Proxy Wars. His heart sank when he heard this, and his skin felt ice cold as he walked to the front of the school gate. He kept telling himself that it was a joke, that someone had called a prank. He hoped beyond hope that he would get to the gates and see nothing, but what he instead saw was the military transport, already filled with students from all over Japan, several UWR guards, and 4 UWR model Xeno Armors. Riku knew he couldn't run. He was too smart to think that he could escape a military transport or Xeno Armors. Even if they just shot him, it wouldn't matter. They'd just tell another teacher to send out a different student. So quietly accepting his fate, Riku got into the transport and headed for Warzone.

Sponsorship Appeal:
While his gun training was somewhat below average, Riku shined in his tracking, scavenging, and medical abilities as far as basic military training, and he was especially good at communications. His real talent was revealed when he took the Xeno Armor training simulation. In less then half the allotted time, he his score had already exceeded the minimum requirement to become a Xeno Armor pilot, something that kids his age should not have been able to do, Even for a Coordinator his skill at piloting Xeno Armor was incredible. By the end of the test, he'd broken the simulations record, and didn't receive a single scratch on the Xeno Armor. His ammo usage was low and his accuracy was high, so it was a no brainer that he'd be best used in the cockpit of a Xeno Armor. During an interview he'd been in prior to the start of the Proxy War, as all of the Class Captains, Lieutenants, and anyone else who managed to stand above the crowd was told they'd be doing, he was asked if he had anyone he might want to say anything to back home, and if so what would that be, to which he answer:

"Well, I'd want to tell all of my friends that I'm okay, and that they shouldn't worry about me. But I'd also want to tell the families of my comrades that they shouldn't worry either. I'll do everything that  can to make sure that your son's, daughters, brothers, and sisters, all come back safely; and that should I fail to keep my promise, I'll accept any punishment they see fit. I will use the Ageha to bring your children back to your families. So please, trust me."

Limit Break Theme Riku's Theme Battle Theme

Also has an addiction affinity for sweet foods, and is a huge fan of soccer.

Xeno Armor Info:

Name: AFAX Unit Type - 0001: Ageha

Created By: Sky Limits Xeno Robotics

Fuel Source: Arc Recycling Reactor - An engine that produces and then reuses a huge amount of electricity in order to power the Xeno Armor.

Model: Aerial Frame
Right Hand: 35mm AX (Anti-Xeno) Enforcer SMG

Left Hand: 35mm AX Enforcer SMG
Right Shoulder: High Powered AX Laser Concussion Rifle
Left Shoulder: 75mm Vertical SAM Missle Launcher
Significant Equipment:
High Frequency Plasma Blades - Built in to the left and right arms on the underside of Ageha's forearms.

High Tension Repel Cables - Built into the top of both wrists, and on either shoulder and hip.

Hyper Booster - Upgraded form of the standard Boost feature provided with any Xeno Armor

Combat Limiter - A device that lessens the combat proficiency of the Ageha in exchange for a lower energy output necessary, meaning that the Ageha will not overheat as quickly. Can be freely engaged and disengaged by the pilot. However, reengaging the Combat Limiter will cause the Ageha to temporarily shut down. Although the shut down is only 1 minute, it's still enough of a drawback to make the Pilot think twice before disengaging.

Anti-Metal Armor - A metal plating that makes the Ageha more resistant standard bullets.

Anti-Laser Over Shield - Over shield that simply protects against lower powered ranged laser weapons. Will have very little effect in blocking melee weapon.

Customizations N/A

Extra Info:
Ageha is an Aerial Frame model, meaning that it's combat performance is just as good in the sky as it is on land. It was originally a prototype that had just been cleared for UWR military use, but upon seeing the score and information about Riku, the lead developer made a last minute decision to send Ageha to Riku, along with a note reading "Normally we don't do this, but we'd rather see Ageha in the hands of an advanced Coordinator then in Emperor Walharts trophy room. Make good use of it, and try to come back alive."
Ageha is also one of only 8 Xeno Armors to have it's maximum combat proficiency exceed safety ranges to such a degree that a Combat Limiter was required to be installed for long term use.

Ageha is a hybrid assault/recon Anti-Xeno Armor Unit, so it excels greatly in combat against Xeno Armor and is highly mobile, but  falls short when it comes to defense and weight limits.

I know there's already a mecha themed rp here, but after looking at it, I think mine's different enough to stand apart.

Mecha hunger games. Neat.

I've got a few questions regarding things, as well as a couple of pointers seeing as how I'm running another Mecha rp on the site. Considering making an app.

First and foremost, what is a Xeno Armor exactly? As in: How large are they generally (for instance Knightmare frames from Geass are usually 4-6 meters tall, and Mobile suits range from 15 to 22 meters in height depending on universe and time period)? What sorts of weapons do they typically carry (do laser/beam weapons exist? remote weapons? Do they carry melee weapons? if so what do they consist of usually?)? In a more gneral sense, how powerful is the average Xeno Armor unit? can it level a city, is it more like a walking tank? etc. It would probably help any potential participants if you had mecha profiles of some kind so that we know what the mass-produced models look like and are capable of, and it would also give us a better idea of how to write the combat.

Second, I don't see any point in a mecha rp where participants are not allowed to choose and or design their own machines. What's the fun in having an rp with mecha involved if an applicant isn't allowed to have their character use something that appeals to their own personal tastes? Instead we're forced to write our characters in such a way that they will be arbitrarily given equipment based on... what i assume is whatever skillset they may have. If that's the case, then what are the advantages of playing a normal human or a beast-kin, since they don't make good pilots. On the flip side of that, why is there any reason that I shouldn't create a character with absolutely superior skills/piloting ability in order for them to be given advanced enough gear to have an impact. In short, I see some very heavy character balancing issues here.

That said, assuming I'm going to play ball with the concept, I have a few questions. How do we know what our characters do and do not receive when we apply? I can't very well write a mass-produced Xeno Armor ( or any sort of weapon for that matter) into my app if i have no idea what it does/looks like or which my character is receiving in the first place, if any, and I'm not allowed to create my own machine from scratch. In addition to that, are there any advantages to playing a character who does not pilot a Xeno Armor? If not, then why bother allowing it to be an option?

I'd suggest you add more detailed information regarding the mecha and what sort of equipment our characters are eligible to receive in general in order to give myself and anyone else a more clear picture of what we should/should not do. More info on the Warzone might also be a help.

This plot is pretty different, but I also have a few questions.  While logically I understand that in the future a lot has happened over the course of many wars, could you explain Beast-Kin and Ogres?  Thematically, they don't really have a place.  Cyborgs are great!  I think that's the most exciting part.  But, even as NPCs Beast-Kin and Ogres are very odd, and are a bit off putting.  Are there some unique traits that these classes would receive, persuading me to avoid a normal human character?  I'd love more information.

Also, other than general survival, what is the incentive to use the Xeno armor?  I'm to understand it's the center of the rp, yes?  Being a mech rp and all.  Could you provide a bit more about them?  Is a human character nimble enough to run them around in circles?  Or is that a certain death?

That's about it.  I do wish you luck!

Yeah I knew I shoulda added an extra tab to explain Xeno Armor in depth. Curse my earlier laziness. I'll add it to the opening post too when I don't feel as great a need to procrastinate, but Xeno Armor's are kinda like a mix between a Knightmare Frame and an Armored Core. If I had to spit ball, I'd say that they're about 7  meter's tall on average, but I'm absolutely horrible at scaling like this. Most if not all are not enough to level a city on their own, but since they're more mobile then a tank and can pretty easily avoid jet fire, they're the preferred weapon here. As for models, they can range anywhere from a walking tank like what you suggested to a vastly more mobile Gundam-eqsue super robot. Each one is equipped with a melee weapon as well as High Tension Rappel Cables, and they CAN have beam weaponry. That being said, I'm not really that big a fan of it in the first place, so I'd say beam sabers are either non-existent or less used at the most. Partly because it doesn't make sense to me to spend more money on making a beam melee weapon when a High Frequency blade cuts just as well, has no arbitrary ammo or energy count, and costs substantially less. So yeah beam sabers are in there, but why would you use them when the alternative in just as powerful, costs way less, and is twice as efficient?

I'm kind of against full laser weapons too, since I prefer the use of bullets (I just think that a fight between guys shooting guns looks and sounds cooler then a fight between guys shooting zappy lasers) but I can't justify having laser weapons exist and then saying "but don't use them because they're stupid" and I don't mind if a mecha has some laser weaponry. Gundam Wing style beam cannon's are gonna be a no though. I might change my mind on this later down the road, but for now I don't want any weapons capable of vaporizing the whole of an army in one shot to be floating around on any side. Control wise, it's your standard mecha control system, but I'm going to add that each Xeno Armor ALSO has wheels in there feet similar to Knightmare Frames, but they're geared for multi directional movement so you don't have to worry about being caught moving in a vertical line. These wheels need to be deployed though, since otherwise Xeno Armor would be stumbling and falling all over themselves far too often to be effective.

As for Xeno Armor design, I DO plan on having everyone get custom ones, I just initially wanted a few people to spend time in a shitwalker or a Zaku first. Also it doesn't make a whole lot of sense for a company to say "Here's this mullti-billion dollar one of a kind destruction machine untested beginner child now go have fun" unless they really proved they deserved it, and there's little to no way I can see anyone justifying why they would have a Xeno Armor prior to this OR why they would be able to take it with them. Hence why the sponsorship was a thing. You're right that having a custom mecha is the best part of it, but in this one I can't find a reasonable excuse as to why people should just start with one rather then having to work for it. Having said this, I'm not just going to be like "This character sucks therefor you get mass produced shitwalker" I will be fair about it. Once you get clearance though, you add the Xeno Armor plus any equipment you get to your original character app and I'll update it.

That's about it.  I do wish you luck!

Probably should have been more clear on the uses of each race. Thematically you're right, Ogre's and Beast-kin don't really fit too well in the rest of the world. The only reason I put them in was because I wanted some cliche anime/sci-fi bullshit in it and figured it didn't get more anime then cat girls and couldn't get anymore sci-fi then overly irradiated super mutants. Still, you DO kinda need an incentive to want to play them other then campy bullshit. So I'll go into further detail.

Humans: Pretty much a balance of every race. Decent in every area, but not really amazing in right off the bat. Think of playing one of these like playing the RP in hardmode is essentially what I was going for.

Coordinators: Leaving these as is, since they're supposed to be a bit better then the other races. Like I said they're basically Newtype master races.

Beast-kin: When I said they had higher physical capabilities, I meant they were quicker and stronger. A good opportunity to answer the question about whether going up against a Xeno Armor while your on the ground, well, if you have RPG's or other Anti-Xeno weapons, then it's plausible, but not really recommended. Unless you're a Beast-kin at least, in which you're quick enough to avoid attacks from Xeno Armors, get on the Xeno Armor, and disable it or even hijack it. Obviously this won't work on higher powered Xeno Armors, but it'll help against the mass produced models.

Cyborgs: I think the benefits are fairly self-explanitory, but just in case, they're slightly more immune to bullets then other races, and due to cybernetic enhancements are pretty decent hackers too.

Ogre's: Really not much to be said. They're dumb as hell, but they can crush your skull with their barehands if you tell them that.

Mostly they're Combat or Naval Frames. The technology for creating Aerial Frames is still kinda tricky so they only really make a few of them and they're usually reserved for high rank military officers or people who special order. Some companies will offer them as Sponsorship though.
