Raidraptor - Overlord Gryphon
Attribute: DARK
Rank: ******* (7)
Type: Winged Beast/Xyz/Effect
ATK: 2500
DEF: 3000
Text: 3 Level 7 Winged Beast monsters
You can also Xyz Summon this card by using a Rank 5 or 6 Winged Beast-Type monster you control as the Xyz Material. (Xyz Materials attached to that monster also become Xyz Materials on this card.) If this card attacks or is attacked, your opponent cannot activate cards or effects until the end of the Damage Step. You can only control 1 "Raidraptor - Overlord Gryphon". If this card has a "Raidraptor" Xyz Monster as an Xyz Material, it gains this effect.
● Once per turn: You can detach 2 Xyz Materials from this card; destroy all Spell/Trap Cards on the field, and if you do, inflict 500 damage to your opponent for each card destroyed by this effect.

"Phantasmal gryphon. Spread your legendary wings, clad in wicked storm clouds, and lead forth the charge for revolution! Rank-Up Xyz Change! Appear now! Rank 7! Raidraptor - Overlord Gryphon!"

I do like that it has a Gaia Charger-esque way of getting itself on the field; instead of going the traditional route.

That being said, you more/less have to use Blaze/Revolution Falcon; probably Blaze, given their new support cards in CROS/CORE.

With that in mind, its effect is basically Heavy Storm with burn on it; but since you still need a RR monster on it AND at least 2 materials; it can't be used all the time, so there's that.

Although you could just go into Blaze (3 mats), then 4 when you get this out; and then it's 2 Heavys. (The limiter effect balances it out enough)

Or you can lock effects off when it strikes, which is always helpful.

Flavor-wise, Raidraptors are named after birds of prey. Gryphons are mostly birds, but are partly lion, so...

I am aware of the flavor of the theme and yes, gryphons are part lion but because of this it is known to be a king of all creatures (since the lion is often depicted as king of beasts and the eagle as king of birds).
