Clawborg Gold

Recommended Posts

Hello! I've just recently started playing Yugioh again, and after getting into this new meta I felt like getting back into card making as well. I couldn't think of anything super special, so instead I made this!

When this card is Normal Summoned: Banish 1 card from your Graveyard, also, after that, return 1 card on the field to its owners hand. You cannot declare an attack the turn you Normal Summoned this card. When this card is sent to the Graveyard: Banish it.

The main concern I had with making this card is how powerful a removal card like this would be (I believe by, how its worded, it gets around targeting issues but I might be wrong). For that reason I added a "no battle" clause to it. It's also a mandatory effect and it eats up your Normal Summon, so I think its balanced enough. C+C would be great though

it also needs a better name ;_;

This could be a good idea for an archtype
Seems balanced as it is not optional (maybe fix that?)
I think it might be good to not be able to attack that turn at all.

Thank you for the c+c! I'm probably going to leave it mandatory, as that that was done on purpose in order to hamper the card a bit more, since (I think) its an non-targetting bounce effect.

This seems like it'd be fun to play irl with, and I also like how it's dark-attribute so it would fit in well in a chaos deck. The drawbacks seem justifiable since it's powerful removal like you said. But I don't quite understand what you were going for by only allowing 1 copy of him to be summoned a turn. Special summoning another Clawborg Gold would be useless in terms of abusing his effect and their aren't a lot of useful cards that allow multiple Normal Summons a turn (unless they're new since I'm relatively out of the game lol).

Thanks for the rate! I honestly don't know why I have the summoning restriction on it, probably just absent mindedly added it as a restriction or something. There isn't anything meta that would let you Normal Summon multiple times (I don't think Double Summon is worth running just to do Clawborg's effect twice)
