Ultimate monster revealed

Recommended Posts

While I couldn't show you the other ultimate monster because they're important plot tools, I figured it's necessary to have an ultimate monster on display for full understanding of what they are. If you don't know the rules of Ultimate summoning or magic lvl and are interested in them then please look at my earlier post on it as it has a detailed explanation on what they are and how they work. Ultimate monster. When this card is ultimate summoned; you can add 1 spell card that has 'dark magician' written in its card description from your deck or graveyard to your hand. Once per turn: you can activate one spell card that has 'dark magician' written in it's card description while ignoring its activation conditions.
once per either players turn: pay 3 magic counters and discard 1 spell card from your hand to target 1 spell card in your opponents graveyard that has the same type as the card you discarded; activate the spell card as if you played it.

I figured out that I could make the magic lvl appear where I want it on the card so I changed that. 2 Magic lvl 5 does not mean this card has 10 magic counters, it has 5 like a regular magic lvl5. It's just that for spells that require more than one magician of a certain magic lvl this card counts as two magic lvl5 magicians. This cards effect will include all already known dark magician magic cards but I'll also be making some remakes for those too and they will be included as well.

2 magic lvl5. Pay 8 magic counters to activate this card. If you control monsters whose names are "dark magician" and "dark magician girl"; destroy all cards your opponent controls and inflict 600 damage per card destroyed by this effect to their life points. You cannot conduct your battle phase this turn. This card cannot be negated except by a magic lvl spell or trap card of equal level.

Magic counters count as an activation cost so it does ignore that as well. The other cost of not being able to battle phase is not an activation cost so its effect is still active and you cannot play the card if you've already conducted your battle phase.

2 magic lvl5. Pay 3 magic counters to activate this card. Target 1 "Master dark magician" and 1 "Master dark magician girl" that you control; Banish and seal them. Ultimate summon 1 "Master dark magicians" from your extra deck.

Ultimate monsters can only be summoned by specific cards so this will be the card for this ultimate monster. Forgot to explain it when In my first post but sealing is turning the banished card face-down. While sealed the card cannot move from the banished zone and the cards will stay sealed as long as the ultimate monster is on the field. Also when an ultimate monster is destroyed it is sealed sealed but with no way to return. There are decks that use the banished zone as a second graveyard or decks that return banished cards to the graveyard so I felt this was kind of necessary to add for the mechanics of Ultimate monsters.

Now then to get the cards that "bond between master and disciple" name can be done a few different ways as their summoning methods are a lot more lenient but here's an example with cards I already posted.

1 young dark magician girl + 1 or more non-tuner monsters or 1 tuner + dark magician girl.
Once per turn: you can discard cards from your hand to add magic lvl spell card(s) that has a total lvl equal to the number of cards you discarded to your hand.

Aim5sG2.jpg+Aim5sG2.jpgslc1RYc.jpg
2 level 9 synchro monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 spellcaster-type monster in your graveyard; special summon it in face-up attack position with 0 magic counters. Any card special summoned with this monsters effect cannot regain magic counters.

Like I said, there's some leeway. They're not the easiest monsters to summon but with todays yugioh game mechanics they're not particularly difficult either.

So tell me what you think of the ultimate monsters and the balancing. Also working on card description so any tips in that would be appreciated too.
