BGM Opening Theme:  Departure

You receive a notice by mail.  You receive an e-mail.  You receive a video broadcast.  In some way, you personally have been invited to attend the first annual Secret Cup Tournament.  You, of hundreds of thousands of fighters being gathered from around the globe, have been invited to be one of only 16 to enter the final rounds of this grand spectacle.  Held by the richest man on earth, seeking only entertainment, your flight, room, board, and food have been accommodated simply so that you may attend.  And with 100 Billion U.S.D. on the line, it's the opportunity to make something for yourself, for someone you know and love, or to make enemies.  What you do with the prize is up to you.  That is, if you can make it to the end.  There can be only one victor.  The types of fighters that will gather is unprecedented, and cannot be determined.  Wielding magics, blades, guns, superhuman strength, no one knows what to expect.  This is what the Secret Cup Tournament is all about.  Surprises, danger, and lots of blood shed.  Who will stand atop the Golden Gate as the strongest fighter in the world
An obnoxiously, disgustingly rich man.  After many years of acquiring massive pieces of land, buying out large business industries, and operating the world’s largest, most lucrative hotel, they have hit their lowest point:  boredom.  It is boredom that kills men.  It is boredom that truly pushes men to war.  And it is boredom that has spawned one of the most anticipated tournaments of the 2088 year.   Hosted by Gerald Oedipus Dillinger , creator and owner of the Golden Gate Hotel, pioneer and innovator, the bravest and most powerful fighters from around the planet will soon be gathered in one location to duke it out.  True entertainment will be found here, where men, women, alien, and mythical creature alike may take a stab at a stake of a grand prize pool of 100 Billion American dollars.

But what is a tournament without its challenges?  Of the many combatants, totaling in the hundreds of thousands, only twelve will make it out of the preliminary stages.  These 12 people (or beings, if you please) will enter the true, most brutal combat experience they will ever face.  With ever changing combat arenas, unspeakable dangers, and unknown enemies.  These 12 will stare each other down in a battle of wits, fisticuffs, and endurance.  They’ll beat each other to a pulp, until only one is left standing, consciously.  This, ladies and gentleman, alien and beast, is the Golden Gate Secret Cup Tournament!

Of course, each Tournament has its rules.  There aren’t many, but at such a fine establishment, order must be kept.  During your stay at the Golden Gate, please keep in mind the following:

No business may be conducted on Hotel Grounds.  This includes all forms of combat.

All arenas will have a boundary.  Leaving the boundary is an immediate disqualification.  If you step outside of the marked zones of an arena, you will lose the match!

Matches will be decided when one party is unconscious, unable to continue, or dead.  You are not obligated to spare your opponent.  This means you would be wise to give the enemy no leeway.

The Golden Gate Hotel was founded in 2020, by Gerald Dillinger, a maniacal and powerful pioneer of extraordinary ability.  Located in San Francisco, California, it is the world’s largest hotel, at approximately 25,000 rooms.  It is built in pieces, unlike most hotels, but sits as a single structure.  The pieces are 3, enormous skyscrapers, showered in gold and platinum, built of the strongest steel.

In the first tower, The East Gate, are 10,000 rooms, and it is primarily reserved for spectators and guests who are not aware or not participating in the tournament.  In the center tower, the smallest of the 3, the North Tower, sits 5,000 rooms.  These rooms house the wealthiest of the wealthy, and is nothing shy of luxurious as the rest of the establishment is.  It too is showered in gold and platinum, with a lush red carpet to greet its guests.

And lastly, in the West Tower, are a third and final setting of 10,000 rooms.  It is perfectly symmetrical to the East Tower in amenities, appearance, and luxury.  Each tower holds a full 24 hour bar, 24 hour room service, and an exclusive 24 hours buffet.  There are gyms, indoor pools, and to top it all off, there is a theme park just behind the Golden Gate, accessible through the rear of any of the three towers.

However, even though the Golden Gate Hotel is the mainstay of the tournament, it is only there to house participants, spectators, and guests.  The true location of the tournament will not be set in one place.  In fact, it will be set in a multitude of places.

From space itself, high above the Earth, to the depths of the deepest ocean in a sunken city, The Secret Cup Tournament will never grow stale.  Dangerous indigenous creatures await in each location.  And Natives don’t often take kindly to strangers destroying their property.  The true setting of the Secret Cup Tournament, is global.

Arenas have already been planned.  What order they appear in will not be given.  That's a surprise.  Remember, you will be traveling the globe in your fights.  This is not present day Earth, and some arenas are fictitious for rp purposes.  Arenas will be prepared with lots of traps, usable by fighters.  Use this to your advantage to make things interesting.  Arenas will be updated here as they appear.
http://i.imgur.com/JXMGVtp.jpg

Shan’ri Temple

Long abandoned, but overrun by native insects.  You won’t find anything fatal above ground.  Though, I wouldn’t go fishing.  It is said that battles that take place on temple grounds will be forever remembered.  Temple grounds are approximately 45.72 meters in width and 40 meters in depth.  It is one of the smallest selected arenas in the tournament.

Traps Include:

[NONE FOUND]

Indigenous Creatures Include:

Koi fish - A simple koi fish.  Harmless, but delicious.

Watabi Mantis - They can fly!  But that's about it.  They're pretty cool though.

King Crab - You want top of the line seafood?  This is it right here.  Hard as hell to open the shell though.

Zen Fly - They like to give birth to Otopis Maggots.  Rapidly.  Killing them when you see 'em should be a priority.

Otopis Maggot - They explode if you crush them.  They also explode on death.  So like, stay away from the maggots if you can help it.

Oh, and, seriously, don’t go fishing.

http://i.imgur.com/xRXNeMo.jpg

Valley of Souls

The skull you see here is said to be the head of a long dead giant, who’s head was lobbed off by a stray swing of the blade of King Uldron.  He oversaw the souls that journeyed to this valley, often banishing them to the depths of Suffering.  But after Uldron was slain, these lands returned to the earth, growing their plant life once more, a natural river being upon it.  However, it is not without its dangers.

The indigenous people of the valley, Hurons, they come to the head of the giant to pray, thankful for their bountiful lands.  The head is riddled with traps, and much of it has been painted with a sinister poison.  If you’re unfortunate enough to be brought here, try not to touch anything.  And watch your step.  Every unturned stone is a danger.

Traps Include:

The Giant’s Drop – the teeth can be lowered by stepping on a peculiar purple stone.  The plunge from the giant’s mouth to the river below is eight hundred feet.  Care for a swim?

Epitome – They say that trespassing on religious grounds is blasphemous.  Well, it kinda is.  Staying in the skull for too long will piss off the Hurons.  They’re likely to send their pets after you.  It’s a snake by the way.

Wind and Blow – The river of the Valley of Souls is magical.  At the end of it, below the giant’s mouth and at the nape of the valley, a whirlpool spawns once every hour.  No one knows where it leads, but the whirlpools mouth is inescapable.  How so?  Well, the souls that reside there are always looking for friends.  Get in their grasp and you’ll be joining them.

Toxic Tabs – The walls of the Giant’s Head are coated in poison.  You’re going to be starting in the Giant’s Mouth.  I wouldn’t wanna touch anything that hasn’t brushed its teeth in a couple thousand years.

Indigenous Species Include:

Epitome – That’s no ordinary snake.  It’s fifty feet long, weighs more than four hundred pounds, and has more than nine rows of teeth.  It spits venom, it’s immune to flames, and it doesn’t like visitors.

Souls of the Valley – At the base of the river, near the whirlpool’s mouth, you will come across souls attempting to escape the whirlpool of Wind.  They ain’t goin’ nowhere.  But I don’t recommend shaking their hands.

http://i.imgur.com/oeMvZo3.jpg

Decadence Forest

The trees are heavy, and it would be difficult to cut them down.  Though, why would one cut down such beautiful trees?  They emit a powerful orange-yellow light, the same light that glows from the tree sap that leaks from these trees.  The tree sap, while lovely and delicious, isn’t meant to go into a jar or on your finger.  And the fireflies that enjoy it are only lucky.  The forest is enormous, at more than 10 thousand acres.  For the tournament however, only 1km of the forest will be available to fight in.  At the heart of the forest, at its largest tree, is the home of an elder wizard, who adores visitors, and even has cures available.  Though, they say he’s lost his touch.

Indigenous Creatures Include:

Firefly

Yugo Monkey

Orange Leopard

Wood Nymph

Blood Moth

Notes:  The only dangerous creatures are the Blood Moths and Leopards.  Blood Moths are attracted to heat.  If bitten, you’ll be infected with their blood.   If you can’t manage a cure in 15 minutes, you’ll die of blood hemorrhage.

Leopards are leopards.  Don’t piss ‘em off.

Traps Include:

Firefly Eggs – For whatever reason, these fireflies lay nests.  Particularly, they lay their nests on the ground in huge colonies, the size of a basketball.  Stepping on one, you would think “oh it’s just fireflies, they’re harmless”.  That isn’t the case.  These fireflies have developed an affinity for Black Decadence (that is, the tree sap of the forest).  It is acidic.  Your foot won’t last long stepping in that kind of doodoo.

Black Decadence – Acidic and explosive tree sap.  Don’t even think about eating it.  You’ll die in minutes.  And igniting it?  Bad idea.  You’ll take yourself and the whole damn forest out with you.  The difference being that the trees will likely survive.

Bloody Hell – Did I mention Black Decadence is explosive?  The blood moths are attracted to heat.  Attract too many of them, and you’ll call mom out of her nest.  And she ain’t as tiny as the others.

http://i.imgur.com/nPU8RQo.jpg

The Sahill Cathedral

Despite appearances, the Sahill Cathedral is one of the larger arenas chosen for the tournament.  It has more than eight floors, seven of which are underground and expand to about the size of a football field, per floor.  While there aren’t many dangerous animals or mythical creatures lurking about, the Cathedral is as dangerous as any other arena.  It has the most traps of any arena, and more lethal natural instances that can occur than if you were to be on a Cliffside.  If you were to lay out each floor side by side, you’d have roughly 2.5 km of land to fight on.  And with each floor being a bit of a maze, it isn’t easy getting around.  And to think, this land used to belong to an insane Dutch King who went mad with magical power, only to be betrayed by his royal guard in an effort to free the land of his curse.  Crazy, right?

Indigenous Species Include:

Cathedral Cultists – Yes, they are insane.  Yes, they are skilled close combat fighters.  Yes, they wield rusted daggers and wear black cloaks with a blood stained symbol on them.  Yes.

Bats.  They’re just bats.

Undead – It kind of varies, but there’s a good chance that, if you stroll past the third floor, you’ll start running into a variety of undead.  Skeletons, zombies of different types (ranging from carriers and mothers to the standard walking husk), and uh, one or two that may, sort of kinda be made of a couple hundred corpses molded into a twelve-foot walking terror.  Just so you know.

Traps Include:

Knowledge is. . .Death? – I wouldn’t go browsing the library, or any bookshelf for that matter.  Avoiding them is impossible because there are hundreds upon hundreds of bookcases, but there’s a good chance the next book you pick up could send you below the cathedral itself.

Knight in Rusted Armor – There’s nothing in the armor itself of course.  But the curse of the mad King still lingers.  I would avoid the big metal guys wielding giant axes and polearms.

This Little Light of Mine – There are quite a few chandeliers in the lower floors of the Cathedral.  And each one of them Is accessible with a flick of a switch.  Try to pin your opponent inside of it.  The innards of the chandelier are lined with magic, and anything that interrupts that is in for a shock.  Literally.

Collateral Cathedral – Not much of the staircases is solid in the Cathedral.  Pushing someone over the edge isn’t an idea.  It’s gonna happen.  And falling fifty feet to the next floor is gonna hurt.

Broken Stones, Broken Bones – Some chunks of the Cathedral floor are also damaged.  Watch your step.  You might think it’s just a loose pallet of stone, but it’s actually a shortcut to the next floor, with concussive proportions.

Magical Journey – At the heart of the Cathedral, on the eighth floor, there is a chamber riddled with magic.  Stepping inside of it is easy.  Leaving it is not.  There are rumors that the mad King sleeps there, and he’s not one to just excuse trespassers.

http://i.imgur.com/1SkRpd2.png

Oxfield Scrapyard

Everything needs a place to die.  Even machines.  But this particular scrapyard once ran trains.  And now, it runs blood.  For the longest time, after it was abandoned some century ago, bodies were dumped here.  Murders were carried out in quick succession in this backwoods, no-one-in-sight scrapyard.  The nearest town was more than eight hundred miles due north, through mountains.  And that was a shortcut.  Stretching over 1000 meters, the Scrapyard was of monstrous proportions.  It was easy to get lost in piles of metal, bending and turning around every corner.  But that isn’t the dangerous part.  The dangerous part of the Scrapyard is that, every night, at exactly 7 p.m., it is brought back to life by mad men.  And the cranes aren’t the only thing they operate.

Indigenous Creatures Include:

Metalheads – Or so they call themselves.  Clad in bright yellow and steel colored armor, they often brandish crude hatchets, nail guns modified for automatic fire, or pipes and plumbing wrenches just to prove a point.  They’re not the brightest, but after a few months practice, every piece of machinery in the Oxfield Scrapyard was now operable by this group of thugs.  They aren’t exactly tough, but if they get their hands on torches, or really any piece of welding material or machine in the Scrapyard, they become a serious problem.  Try not to be on their grounds too long.

Iron Giants – No, you read that properly.  Standing at 10 feet tall, the Giants are a force to be reckoned with.  And after 7 p.m., the Iron Giants become active.  Unfortunately, they attack any and everything they come across, including the Metalheads.  Strangely enough, one particular Metalhead, clad in red armor, has never been threatened by the Iron Giants.  Special little snowflake that one is.  Things to note about the Giants.  They are sensitive to heat.  If you’ve got literal firepower, use it.  They are not sentient, but they are highly intelligent.  Trying to outsmart them is a dangerous task.  The force of their punches is equivalent to that of a car traveling 80 mph.  You should probably move.

Dogs – Owned and controlled by the Metalheads, these poor creatures are at their owners’ beck and call.  Most times, they are on long linked chains.  But these dogs, pit bulls to be precise, are nothing short of powerful.  They can and will bite.  They know the area well enough that you can’t hide from them without killing them.  Caution is advised.

Traps Include:

Running Rampant – Remember that rail we talked about?  After 7p.m. it becomes active.  Metalheads will be running that train in circles for several hours, non-stop.  The train will make a complete rotation once every 20 minutes.  Time your attempted execution carefully.

Buzzkill – The scrapyard wouldn’t be any fun if there wasn’t a working table saw on the facilities.  Find it, flip it on, use it.

Massive Dunkage – There’s a live foundry on the Scrapyard grounds.  Boiling at over 1600 degrees Fahrenheit, there is almost no chance one would survive a foundry being dumped over them.  And of course, a kill of these proportions would be a real crowd pleaser.

Death^3 – Oh come on, this one is a dead giveaway!  There’s a crusher in the scrapyard.  Turns metal into compact cubes. . . by crushing it.  Use it.

High Traffic – A large number of cars, trucks, even semis are still on the Scrapyard grounds, not yet crushed.  They can’t be run, but with the gigantic magnet that moves them still being operable, you can move them.

Swiss Metal – Once every hour, the center of the Scrapyard becomes a master piece.  Below the enormous piles of metal, a gigantic metal blender—with thousands upon thousands of teeth—is revealed.  Rotating at more than 100,000 rpm, this shredder is the most fun to observe.  The ground opens outwards from the center, and anything above it plummets to the center, until it is grinded into a fine powder.  You’d have to be standing roughly 50 meters away to avoid it.

For reference:  The North side of the Scrapyard contains the railroad at the very edge of the boundary that would mark out of bounds.  The rail way is covered by an overhead awning, made of glass and rusted metal.  It is exactly 100 feet long from a tunnel exit that leads out of bounds, to the next tunnel exit in bound.  The rail is positioned on the Northern Border in a West to East direction.

Approximately six hundred feet due south east, the Foundry can be found, surrounded by metal scrap heaps.  The Foundry is accessible by a large rickety building, with a rusted ladder inside leading to the second floor of the control tower.

On the Western Border, the Crusher sits.  Operating it is as simple as approaching the operating frame just a few feet south of the Crusher itself.

In the South, exactly 50 feet away from the Shredder, the Management Crane and Lift Magnet are adjacent, merely 100 feet from another.  Each is accessible by a ladder directly attached to the machinery itself, with scrap piles and cars within reach.

http://i.imgur.com/TFpISgY.jpg

Lacusta Castle

Clearly, this is one of the larger arenas.  Lacusta Castle once belonged to a powerful vampire family, only to be snatched away at the fear of the common human.  They had come ranting and raving with their pitchforks, garlic, holy symbols, and stakes.  Even with their strength, the number of humans simply outweighed the few vampires that resided in this castle.  However, their over overlord, one of the Dominant 3, and last of pure bred Vampires would not let these sins against his people go without being repaid.  With some of his greatest magic, he has placed a powerful curse over the castle grounds, and much of its land beyond it.  The locals of Romania quickly became aware of it, as their poor mental statuses could not process what this curse could do.  Upon standing on the grounds of Lacusta, one’s remorse, regret, morals, and compassion would be shattered, as their bloodlust grows uncontrollable.  Humans who have entered the Lacusta Castle grounds since the laying of the curse, have quickly turned on each other, or themselves.  The Castle grounds stretch about 30km, but for the sake of the Tournament, only the first five floors, of 2km, will be used.

Indigenous Creatures Include:

Lacusta Vampires – There remain very few Lacusta in the Castle.  Even their King has not been seen in over sixteen thousand years.  However, at least ten Vampires do reside in the Castle.  Once an unfamiliar presence has been sensed, they will go into a hunt mode, not resting until they are found and drained.

 Traps Include:

Blood Well – Every floor, wall, crack, nook, cranny, edge, and inch of the castle grounds is connected to an underground chamber.  When blood is spilled, it is drained towards the underground chambers where a monster sleeps.  For many long years, he has not been disturbed.  But with a thirst this powerful, he merely stirs.  It will be nearly impossible to prevent him from waking.

Trick Room – Mirrors in the castle have been laced with magic from the inside out.  Looking into them will likely cause you to go mad, as you may or may not see things that are there.  Or are you even looking into a mirror at all?

Prepare to be Boarded – There is a torture chamber, just on the third floor.  Each tool inside of it is designed to extract blood.  There are heavy wooden tables with nasty spiked buckles and straps, syringes and hooks, and a rotating stone platform designed to have the victim stand up while being strapped to it, and whipped until they bleed.  All of it connected to the Blood Well.

http://i.imgur.com/N85McYs.jpg

The Barren City of El Dorado

Once a haven of gold for the greediest man, El Dorado has since been scavenged, with very little of its gold remaining.  Now, the streets are flooded with markets of gold sellers, beggars, and tourists.  The rivers have run dry, and instead are traveled by foot and horseback.  More than twenty thousand have also made El Dorado their home, over populating the area and causing it to become even more run down than before.  The worst part, is that El Dorado is still incredibly valuable, but no longer in terms of gold.  The markings of the city that will be used will be twenty city blocks, roughly 1.6 km.  Citizens have been evacuated for the events about to occur.  They have also left with a warning.  “Never roam the streets of El Dorado after dark.”

Indigenous Creatures Include:

El Dorado Citizen – Unlikely to be seen in the arena, the average citizen will likely be spying on the fight from afar.  You’ll be wrecking homes and showing disregard for their property.  It will be a spectacle.

El Dorado Bandits – They never roam in groups of less than thirty.  Not three.  Not five.  Not ten.  Thirty.  And they are wicked gunmen with unrivaled marksmanship.  Brandishing pistols, shotguns, rifles, grenades, daggers, and swords, these bandits are highly skilled, and love to pick fights.  You’ll notice them from a mile away, by the sound of their horses, bullets, and whooping.

Bulls – Over the past decade, Bulls have run wild in the streets of El Dorado.  Knowing when the next stampede will occur is almost impossible.  But these wild beasts are nothing short of bullies.  They strike randomly, delivering a rush of adrenaline, and often times, the trampling or goring of a fresh corpse.

Traps Include:

Dynamic Exit – Dynamite Charges have been placed beneath the buildings of the sectioned off portion of El Dorado.  A single detonator has been placed in the exact ten by ten city block section, which would sink the entire area.  I would think about this first.

Dirty Dealings – If and when the city block has sunk, you will be moved to the sewers of the city.  They are highly unstable, and riddled with methane gas.  A single spark could ignite your immediate area and cook you and your opponent alive.  Use with caution.

http://i.imgur.com/uIFrNMY.jpg

Cavern of Sirens

Magic is a powerful thing, but it is not often found in an object that is not sentient.  In these caverns, the crystals refract a light in such a manner that they ring when they are struck by light from the sun.  The sound is unique and powerful, and often throws those inside into a daze, causing them to enter into a world that doesn’t actually exist.  Though light shines down from the surface, and the surface is visible, escaping the cavern through the holes in its ceiling is impossible.  The light refracted by the crystals in the cavern emits a powerful magic that moves the surface into a separate world, and that barrier cannot be crossed.  What is most frightening about this cavern is the creature that leaves behind these crystals.  Moving, taking, or destroying the crystals is not advised.

Indigenous Creatures Include:

Crystal Badger – A normally peaceful creature, the Crystal’s light has enlarged these beasts to six feet long and eight feet high.  They lay crystals throughout the cavern, and gain strength from them.  Their claws are enormous and razor sharp.  Not to mention their enormous mouths and heavy bodies.  These Badgers weigh more than a thousand pounds.

Crystal Tortoise – Though it bares Siren Crystals, the Crystal Tortoise is not dangerous.  He only eats crystals, and his only prey is the Behemoth that resides inside the cavern.  Their shells are even more dense than the crystals themselves, often seeming to be so inherently black, that the shells absorb light.  At four feet tall and six hundred pounds, this adorable tortoise could actually be quite beneficial to those inside.

Crystal Ghoul – Wielding a make shift axe of crystal, the Ghoul runs on two legs, stands at five feet, and its purple skin allow sit to blend in well with the cavern itself.  They are quite aggressive, and will strike at any and every opponent, regardless of the difference in strength.

Crystal Dragon – Though they are very docile, the Dragons are not afraid to attack if threatened.  They reside mostly near the crystal lake, guarding the Egg of Life.  It is rare, but Crystal Dragons are the only breed of dragon that have not been killed off.  Mainly because of their additional resistance to magic, and their diamond hard skin, they have warded off those who would hunt them for many a millennium.  Their powerful breath magic stuns foes, and puts them into a similar confusing daze as if they were to hear the ringing of Siren Crystals.

Crystal Behemoth – The creature’s existence has been recorded three separate times.  Each time, it has revealed itself beneath the surface of the Siren’s Song Pool, in protection of the Egg of Life.  The Behemoth, to be exact, looks very similar to dragon, but has a less elongated body, in favor of a larger head, longer, more powerful horns, four legs, and powerful reflective scales.  It is invulnerable to magic, but its scaly skin is soft, and can be penetrated by a blade.  However, getting close to the Behemoth is a death wish.  It owns a ten-foot tail, dipped in magic.  Once the creature has its tail wrapped around you, your body will numb, and you will go into a trance of extreme proportions.  Your mind will wander into a utopia, and you will die a quick, painless death as the Behemoth crushes your spine.

Crystal Siren – A seaserpent with the head and torso of a woman, who’s skin is made of crystal, and whose tail is made of diamond hard scales.  They sing an intoxicating song in an attempt to lure the foolish into their waters, to feed the Behemoth.

Traps Include:

The Egg of Death – In the heart of the cavern, light radiates ever so differently, reflecting from the surface of the Siren’s Song Pool, and turning a dim purple.  Inside is a magical egg, rumored to grant anyone who devours it eternal life.

Siren Song Pool – Any creature not adapted to the magic of the Cave of Sirens will be in for a rude awakening.  Stepping in to these waters, the Sirens will only be glad.  The water is deathly cold, and will paralyze those who touch it.

Siren Crystals – Littered throughout the cavern, the Crystals can be destroyed, but doing so will enrage nearby Crystal creatures, excluding the Crystal Tortoise.  The Crystal Badger is especially alert to this, and will find the destroyed crystal wherever it may be.

The Boiling Depths

http://i.imgur.com/ciwr3PY.jpg

As its name suggests, this arena is hot.  Very hot.  A series of simple but lengthy tunnels make up a network of small caves inside of what was once a dormant volcano.  Now excavated to become the homes of the native Ingle peoples, they have become practically immune to the exhausting heat from the molten moat that stretches around their homes.  Even so, they aren’t foolish enough to go swimming in it.  The heat of this molten lava reaches temperatures of two thousand degrees Fahrenheit, and will near instantly consume anything it touches.  It is more than eight hundred feet deep, and seeps into an untouched part of the planet that is said to be the most calming place on earth, despite being one of the most dangerous.  It should be noted that the Ingle people are active workers in their tunnels, with daily digs for materials and resources being commenced.  What is strange, however, is that no resources have been recovered in the depths for more than two hundred years.  It is said that, despite the Ingle people being accustomed to this great heat, it has driven them mad, and heavily influences their minds, causing them to do things that even they don’t understand.

Indigenous Creatures Include:

Ingle People – The people who have made the Boiling Depths their home.  Usually non-violent, but a bit on the insane side.

Lava Eels – An eel born to the lava moat of the Boiling Depths.  Instead of emitting harmful shocks of electricity, it instead spits a volatile magma from its jaws, scorching its prey alive.  Found deep within the lava moat.

Magma Beetles – Passive insects who have grown accustomed to the heat of the Boiling Depths.  They eat molten rock and are drawn to flames, even if it kills them.

Fire Bats – Bats that have become one with the heated tunnels of the Boiling Depths.  They are extremely aggressive and territorial, often claiming the lives of the Ingle people who may stroll aimlessly through the depths.  Their bites are powerful, able to easily tear a chunk of flesh out of the first thing they encounter.

Traps Include:

Burning Finger – A narrowly stretched bridge leading directly over the lava moat, but without connecting to a second part of the Depths.  Good for Spartan finishers.

Melting Point – In the center of the depths, running through the center circle platform behind the homes of the Ingle people, is a shower of lava.  It runs as a blanket, leading directly into the only controlled flow of lava within the depths.  It spreads into a series of carved columns that lights and powers the homes of the Ingle people, but can be reached by going through their homes, or by climbing around the upper rim of the center circle.
The “Lost City of Atlantis” is a falsehood.  Not because it does not exist, but because it is not a city.  In fact, Steph would tell you that Atlantis is not a city at all.  Because it is her home.  Her home country.  Atlantis is not a single city.  Atlantis is, in fact, the more than the entirety of the bottom of the Pacific Ocean.  It is large enough that if it were to surface, it would completely cover the United States of America, and reach half-way to Europe.  But for this special occasion, a single abandoned dome of Atlantis was permitted to be purchased, and used to hold a massive brawl until the fighters or host were content.

Don’t let the size of the dome fool you.  In and of itself, it is in face one of the largest arenas, with Lacusta Castle and its surrounding land following a close second.  Inside of the Thunder Dome, for the purpose of the contest in question, the water has been drained.  But what remains is a beautiful, but small, quaint town, at only two hundred square miles.  Its buildings are built of composite marble and steel, with shaved glass windows, much more thin than the enhanced composite marble glass used to sustain the massive pressure of the water that surrounds the dome.

And though this is one of the most beautiful arenas one may battle in, it is in fact one of the most fragile.  Enhanced marble composite glass, while powerful, can still be broken.  And a single crack in the dome would mean an almost inevitable shattering, unleashing millions upon millions of gallons of water in a matter of seconds into the dome.  The pressure on impact would be enough to level the city immediately, likely killing whoever is inside.  And if somehow one were to survive such an event, the dangers of deep, open ocean waters are far greater than what you might find inside the Thunder Dome.

Thunder Clap – There exists a single device located in the very center of the Thunder Dome, stretching up forty stories into a single skyscraper, built with the sole purpose of destroying the dome.  It is an energized rod made of adamantium steel, locked into a cannon.  To fire it, one must simply go into the basement of the tallest skyscraper, labeled “Matar”, and find the console.  On it, a locked box with key are marked for extreme caution.  Turning the key will launch the battering rod into the dome, shattering it immediately.  The Atlantean People could easily survive the destruction of the dome.  But could you?

Godstone Valley

Godstone valley is the smallest of arenas, being a mere thousand square feet.  It is birthplace to the Four Great Ones, and one of the few places left on earth that is still magically enchanted.  There are no traps or other species surrounding it.  In fact, the Godstone Valley is ominously quiet.  The Four Great Ones rarely visit this place, if only to meditate or heal themselves.  But it is said fighting on these grounds is forbidden, and will call down the wrath of the Great One of Balance.

Razerhill City

Razer Hill is enormous.  Even so, it is still only third of the largest arenas.  It is larger than El Dorado, and stretches more than fifty thousand square miles.  For the sake of the upcoming battle, the city has been divide in half, with only the lower half below the mountains being accessible.  The lower twenty-five thousand square miles that are available have been evacuated, for fear that civilian casualties could be involved.  The power to the lower half of the city remains on, allowing access to electricity and machinery, but you won’t find much else.  The trains have stopped running, and cars have been moved.  The lower half of the city has been designated a war-zone for all intents and purposes, ever since a new man rolled into town.
http://i.imgur.com/b2ydDiy.jpg

Gerald O. Dillinger is the world's leading pioneer, businessman, and the wealthiest man on the planet.  He has raised businesses from death, and turned them into multi-million dollar companies.  He has created hospitals, factories, homeless shelters and charities, and has given back many times in his long years. In his many decades on Earth, he's encountered various species that he thought in his childhood to only be a myth.  Gerald has traveled the globe, only to find something to occupy his time.  But after crossing the young age of 68, he has grown bored.  He no longer finds the thrill in discovering a new species, or traveling to an unknown destination.  However, the thrill of combat has never dulled Gerald.  Blood gives this man adrenaline, and he finds it more than exciting.

As a boy, he would box in his spare time.  He became a lightweight champion in his highschool years, at age 17.  Just three years later, he would put off his sporting and create the Golden Gate Hotel.  After seeing its immense success, he traveled the globe taking up dozens upon dozens of fighting styles, learning from masters of different species, different backgrounds, different ethnicity.  Gerald, in this time, has only grown more interested in fighting.  He would take on and challenge the strongest of men and beast alike, wrestling and brawling in the most dangerous of places, all for a thrill.  It is this thrill Gerald has sought to revive one last time.  Thus, he brought life to the Secret Cup.

http://i.imgur.com/FnJ5SFF.jpg

Steph is a very good friend and ally to Gerald.  They met during his travels across the globe.  Steph belongs to a race of sea dwellers much similar to Atlanteans, but more adept at walking the earth.  They are known widely as the Hydronalyphs.  Shortened to Hydros, their race bears an armor plating to enhance their combative capabilities.  It is very fitting and precise, and there aren't many other species who could fit it.  On the average human, the Hydro armor plating is more than fifteen tons.  However, the Hydros wear it with ease, as their underwater lifestyle has allowed them to adapt to extreme levels of pressure.  Her relationship with Gerald came about when a boat he had commandeered ran upon ground, and his crew was killed.  She saved his life that fateful day, as she was going about the surface to search for treasures.  They have been comrades ever since.

Steph however, is not participating in the Secret Cup, nor is she in anyway a servant or combatant.  She has gracefully chosen to take the roll of Referee in the Secret Cup Tournament.  She has many methods of persuasion, and is not easily bested.

Located on the first floor of the Northern Tower, the Golden Gate Arcade is truly a sight to behold.  If you were to enter the tower, and turn left you would see a decent but not lengthy corridor with strobe lights being the only thing lighting the way.  As you go down the hallway, you can hear loud music, game sounds, people laughing and cheering, and a very light fog would appear at your feet.  At the end of the hallway is a staircase leading one floor down, and a grand entrance decorated with anime characters clashing swords over your head, and a vibrant neon light sign that reads "Golden Gate Arcade".  There are many games in the arcade, of many different types.  There are dancing games, sports games (including basketball, hockey, cricket, football, soccer), classic arcade games like Street Fighter XXII, and Marvel v.s. Capcom XL, shooting games like House of the Dead XC, and even a full service snack bar.  It is open 24/7, and machines do not require tokens or quarters.  Games are paid in full!

Accessible on the first floor of any of the three Towers, the hotel bars are much smaller than the arcade, and usually more quiet.  All hotel bars would be located on the right side of the entrance of every tower, just in front of the full service and connected buffet.  They were stocked with literally every champagne, alcohol, liqueur, malt, beer, or drink you could imagine, from around the world.  And at the top shelf of only the Northern Tower Bar, were three bright flasks of different colors.  The flask on the far right was a red flask of Dragon's brew, taken from the last of the surviving species some centuries ago.  It was the most discernible in smell.  Taking the top off of it would nearly cause anyone to pass out from the stench.  However, the taste was divine, and it also had magical properties that would boost one's stamina for a short time.

In the center was a black flask with golden trim.  A skull decorated its front plating, and when light hit the flask, it turned invisible.  This was a very potent alcohol known only as 'The Whisper'.  It was so strong, that one would be unable to speak for several hours.  The taste was also fantastic.  It was smooth like brandy, with a slight tang.  Truly the sinner's choice.

Finally, on the left was covered in a purple cloth with red engraved lettering.  The flask itself was silver, lined with emeralds around its bottom.  This flask contained a brew that belonged to the Hydronalyphs, made specifically for their king.  This brew was given to Gerald as symbol of their friendship, to honor both parties.  This drink would do two things:  when opened, the flask emitted a hypnotic wail, snagging the attention of anyone nearby.  The drink itself was as powerful as the other two, stirring a great strength within the drinker.  To be accurate, drinking this Hydrohark as it's called, would create a stimulus inside the drinker for the next hour.  This would make them more alert, more agile, and much more powerful in strength.

However, these three drinks are often only given to those Gerald has specifically requested or offered them to.  They cannot be purchased at the bars, but are simply for show to patrons.

http://i.imgur.com/gcTlB55.png

Truth be told, no one being other than Gerald has seen the Black Guard.  They are not a race that has a history directly found on earth.  The spines that wrap them are coated in powerful magic, and allow the Guard to shield themselves in extremely powerful optic camouflage.  They do not have feet like most creatures, and instead opt to float about, leaving no discerning sound as they move.  For whatever unknown reason, they've chosen to serve Gerald, and their existence remains mostly a mystery.  What can be accurately said about them is usually frightening.  Those who have come under their influence have found their minds pushed to the brink of insanity, as they are shown images of horror, nightmares, and evil that no being should witness.  Funnily enough, those closest to Gerald are uninfluenced by the Black Guard, as Gerald has commanded it.  And even then, those like Steph have even admitted they know not how to overpower these beings of shadowShe has admitted to, "knowing my limits.  I dare not challenge the understanding of something I cannot fathom."

Gerald however, has told Steph many tales of the Black Guard.  He has even spoken with them, in very, very brief conversations.  "They were frightening to say the least.  Truly, truly horrifying."

http://i.imgur.com/yD27Es6.jpg

Hobbes "Henry" Heinreich

Born a man of poor status in far Northern "Germany" (which wasn't Germany at the time;  it was merely a part of the North West Heavy Plains, before the shift of the continent), Hobbes has always been a man who sought to learn.

His parents died young, and Hobbes found himself being raised in the wild.  He often slept high up in trees, to avoid predators.  He neared death many times, as he was hunted by barbarians, horrified by lions, and haunted by tree spirits.  But it was the tree spirits that sought Hobbes' heart.  When he was on the run, he would climb high to escape his enemies, as the trees and the tree spirits cloaked him in their magic.  For some time he wondered what had hid him, saved him from the dangers that threatened him.  And when the Tree Spirits spoke with him at last, Hobbes wondered no longer.

It was then he took on his affinity to nature, as a ten year old boy.  As he grew, Hobbes found himself traveling less and less, as he returned many times to the Decadence Forest he was raised in.  He learned and studied every inch of this forest.  He grew with its many indigenous species, and developing a powerful relationship with them.  Even as he would get sick, the tree spirits would teach him, and show Hobbes the way of healing and medicine that would cure the many poisons that would appear in the Decadence Forest.    And when it was time for Hobbes to die, the Forest took hold of him in body and spirit, and recreated Hobbes as its Guardian, and Arch Herald.

It started when Gerald gathered all of them into a single room that was literally the size of Las Vegas.  It had been built as a survival bunker, but just the opposite would occur here today.  They were miles underground, and so they would not be disturbed, not even by the military.

The preliminary rounds were truly a sight to behold.  What started as a simple gathering of five hundred thousand turned into an immediate slaughter.  Once they were told what they were gathered for, they turned on each other like animals.  Gerald gave the word to these men, women, and beings that everyone around them was an enemy.  And over the course of 48 hours, this place that they had thought to be a safe haven would be turned red with blood.

Of course, the first to promote the idea of getting it all over with was Dirk Rider.  Turning to the nearest contestant, he looked the poor sap in the eyes, gun to their forehead.  “Why wait, right?”  Pulling the trigger, brain matter splattered all over the face of the next person behind Dirk’s victim.  Some people screamed, some simply stood and watched in horror.  But there were a few others with strange looks in their eyes.  They only followed suit.  This was a full blown, contained war.  And Gerald enjoyed every minute of it.

Oh how splendid the violence was.  To watch them fall over, left and right in the fashion of insects was thrilling.  But he had to restrain himself from joining in.  Gerald was whisked away just moments after the brawling had begun, to a viewing chamber to observe the fiasco.

And one by one, contestants dropped, either unconscious or dead.  Blood splattered on the arena walls, ceiling, and floors, and many contestants scattered.  Some took up long range firing positions, but with little to no cover, were taken down easily.  But those who were most successful remained in the heat of the fray.  Their magics quickly overwhelmed their foes.  Bullets shred through flesh, and bladed weapons corralled the enemy to their deaths.  And as the crowd thinned, Gerald could not help but smile.  As the final hundred stood, they begin to break into single fights of two contestants each.  The brawling had ceased, and the competition really became thick.

It was during this time that the resounding 16 began to show their promise.  They stood out as sore thumbs with the power to crush a fly beneath them.  It wasn’t long now, as fifty remained and the herd became one less cattle to maintain.  They shoved themselves towards the edge of the arena, where the only noticeable change was a series of large glass tubes that seemed to stretch for miles, and lead to the surface.  And they pounced onto their enemies, removing their traces from the world even if just for a moment.  It was after the remaining 16 stood that Gerald called a halt to their fighting over a very powerful loud speaker.

“That will do, my friends.  That will do.”  Behind this sweet and naïve voice was a man who had long searched for an interesting spat.  And now, he had just the beings to observe.  The strongest of the strongest.  They would be the perfect study.

http://i.imgur.com/jsRDh00.png

(inspired by Borderlands.  Obviously.  No copyright infringement intended.)

The Metalheads.  A band of crooks, thieves, mentally ill, and brutal murder-happy psychos.  They pride themselves in working in the Oxfield Scrapyard, and becoming "pros" in the metal "industry".  Though they are typically the cookiest and most dangerous bunch you'll meet, they have adapted extraordinarily to the Oxfield Scrapyard, and their intelligence regarding it's every boundary may astound you.  This, however, does not make up for the violence that spills from their pores.  Every inch of the Oxfield Scrapyard is a weapon for them, and they will make great use of it.  From fully automatic nail guns, crudely made steel axes and lead pipes, and shotguns redesigned to fire scraps of metal at the propulsion of bullet fire, the Metalheads are a force to be reckoned with.  If that wasn't enough, Iron Giants that stalk the complex are the only natural predator the Metalheads have.  And even then, the Metalheads drive the Iron Giants back without fear.  Supposedly, there is one Metalhead who has willful control over the Iron Giants, and can manipulate them to his desire.

JIN1BCp.jpg

Howler’s mean son of a bitch, with a big mouth and even bigger balls.  Couple that with his intelligence, ingenuity, and experience in combat, and you’ve got yourself a dangerous enemy.  Most people encounter Howler and immediately flee.  Those people live.  There are few who have chosen to combat Howler.  Those people died.  But you’d be surprised to know that this killing machine has a heart of gold.  He creates charities, clothes the naked, feeds the hungry, aids the elderly, and has all the makings of a man who should be cuddling with puppies in a bed of flowers on a cool Sunday evening in autumn.  But Howler only maintains his relationship with mankind when he’s not working.

When it’s time to ship off and get down to business, the cowboy and his horse—King—are the best damn duo for hire.  And this cowboy doesn’t come cheap either.  Only the best with the biggest bank accounts can even afford to speak to a man of his caliber.  And when it comes to bounty hunters, Howler is literally the best.  With more than sixteen hundred kills to his name on a monthly average, Howler is second to none.  And if you can manage to get in touch with him, you’re immediately recognized as family.

But don’t let those “darlins” and “sweethearts” draw you in.  It only takes one time to cross Howler.  And there’s no rescinding on deals with this bounty hunter.  If you’re his target, you’d better start writing a will.
What are the power levels at?

To be frank:  You can shoot balls of fire.  You can throw lightning.  You can cause miniscule earthquakes in an immediate area.  But you can't drop supernovas, you can't use nukes, and you can't pull down asteroids from space.  Hope that's concrete enough if it covers what you were asking.

EDIT:  I think, to be more precise:

If the host has a power level of 10.

The hotel would have a power level of 9.

The arena barrier would have a power level of 8.

And max character power level would be 7.

Lily's primary ability is to control blood, or hemokinesis. Any living blood that is not firmly tucked inside of another living being's circulatory system is fair game. The range of her control is up to 20 meters, the closer, the greater control she has, although she can send blood projectiles flying much farther than her range of control. If an opponent gets an open wound, Lily can start making the blood fly out of the wound in a steady stream; the bigger the wound the faster the loss. Using hemokinesis, blood can be pressurized to an extreme degree in order to attack or create a shield, however when this is done, the blood is damaged, and that blood cannot be used after 3-4 times. The blood inside her body can also be used, and she controls her own body like a puppet using her blood manipulation, granting her extreme strength and speed. Blood control can only slow blood from drying and being damaged, hence Lily keeps blood stored in a jar.

Bloody Regeneration
An extension of her blood manipulation, Lily has the ability to regenerate at great speeds by drinking blood and converting the blood into other cells. As long as her brain is intact and she has access to a fresh supply of blood, she can continually regenerate.

FIRST (complete) VAMPIRE!  If I hadn't waited so long it would have been the first vampire period.  I'll be working on a second app as well.
Name: Kokoro Kuroyama

Gender: Female

Age: 107

Species: Vampire
cGnNOTV.jpg
Measuring at five feet, eight inches, and weighing in at roughly 130 pounds, Kokoro's most notable feature is by a longshot her blood-red eyes.  Their predatory gaze seems to have only become sharper with each passing year, but beyond that, her appearance is largely unchanged from when she was still human.  Between her long black hair, fair complexion, and a face that is a personal source of pride for her, it should easily suffice to call her a good-looking person.

Over time, she's accumulated a number of battle scars (which she's made a point of keeping limited to her limbs as best she can).  She's also known to have an old tattoo of a traditional Japanese dragon that spans the entirety of her back.

Kokoro's is a tale of blood and death.  About 95% of which she caused.

Born in Japan, it was determined from early on that she would inevitably go the same path her mother went.  This was determined because she was the spitting image of the woman and even as a child was far too violent to ever be anything like her father.  Her mother, however, was nowhere to be seen not long after Kokoro's birth.  She did, however, leave the girl a gift.  Her mother's own yakuza grunts, tasked with watching over Kokoro and giving her control when she was old enough.  In the end, Kokoro wound up forcefully seizing it a year beforehand.

Some short years passed.  Everyone in town answered to her.  Nothing happened in town without her knowing of it.  Anyone who stepped out of line was swiftly dealt with with maximum cruelty and no remorse.  She even managed to capture a vampire and forced him to turn her into a vampire.  Once she gained vampirism, the shit hit a whole new fan.

Her men ruled over the daytime hours, and the boss herself became the tyrant of the night.  Imagine Kokoro's surprise when a rival from out of town had deployed a trap wherein her headquarters was destroyed and her followers killed while Kokoro herself dealt with what she'd believed to be a violent protest against her control.  She was, according to the trap plans, supposed to die.  Had her rival caught word of her vampirism, she may well have.

Kokoro spent the next few weeks rebuilding from scratch.  She watched as her small village grew into a town, and then a city.  She was no longer alone, of course.  Eventually, she killed all of her men and went into hiding, biding her time until she could take out each and every force standing in her way with one fell swoop.

That's when she got invited to the tournament.  With a cash prize so large, she could outright buy the city if she wanted.  Kokoro accepted.  She's got her eyes on the prize, and will rip through anybody who stands in her way.

If there's one thing that has never changed about Kokoro over the years, it's her personality.  She is most commonly described as a heartless monster or an evil bitch, both of which are fairly accurate terms.  She's cruel, violent, and loves nothing more than making everyone around her miserable by any means necessary.  While she's an excellent leader, that may well be her only redeeming trait.  Kokoro's cruelty knows no bounds, to the point where not even her closest friends are safe from her vicious actions and harsh words.  Seeing others writhe in pain is among her greatest pleasures in life, as is taking those who set even a toe out of her line and beating them back into place.

If the day ever comes where she acts for somebody else's sake, they could probably get tickets to Hell's brand-new ice-skating rink afterwards to watch a monkey-written rendition of Shakespeare, see some winged pigs on the way over, and find some winning lottery tickets under their seat which they won't lose even after being struck by a bolt of lightning.  Even that far-fetched day out is more likely than Kokoro doing anything for anybody except herself.  She loves to be feared by others, and those who stand up to her are those who she finds the most enjoyment from violently putting them back in their place.  In her eyes, everyone is below her, no matter who, what, or where they are.

Kokoro is fond of anything that is good at killing.  She's known to never leave home without a combat knife and pistol at the very least.  The weapons are very basic (surprisingly so, given the owner), at least considering each is military-grade.  However, for the sake of this tournament, she has brought a third weapon.  She's never seen without it.  This third weapon is Kokoro herself.

As a vampire, Kokoro is in possession of great strength and speed, and having sharp claws for nails and the typical vampiric fangs only amplifies this.  She's never missed a night where she drinks a human's blood almost to the point of killing them, and as such she's very healthy.

Vampirism: The root of all her other powers.  Kokoro is a vampire, meaning she's stronger, faster, and tougher than humans, does not age, and has access to a few other neat tricks.  She's also in possession of sharp claws and sharper fangs which allow her to drink blood from a human, which is how she sustains herself.  However, just as vampires are known for their power, they're just as notorious for having exploitable weaknesses.  Silver and sunlight make for wonderful vampire-killers in particular.  Holy water is like acid to her, and natural flowing water is another hazard.

Flight: Kokoro is able to sprout a large pair of bat-like wings from her back and take to the skies.  These wings are perhaps the flimsiest part of her, though, and one good hit to the wings will typically be all it takes to ground Kokoro.  She's still little more than a fledgling among vampires, what can we say.

Gracefully, we accept.  Application to be added to the OP shortly this evening.
Name:  Zyg 0001

Gender: Male

Age:  8

Species:  UtahRaptor
Reference: http://pre11.deviantart.net/fcc3/th/pre/f/2014/160/f/7/ego_raptor_for_beasts_fury_by_chaos_draco-d7l4hzy.jpg

Zyg is a Utahraptor standing at 6" tall and 15" long from head to tail.  He weighs in at almost 500 kg.  His skin is covered in scales, and is a purple hue.  his legs and arms are completely robotic in and are equipped with claws that can cut through thick columns of metal.  His tail is also cybernetic, and can stretch out to twice its original length.  A brand that says "001" has been placed on his left pectoral, indicating his number and last name.

Zyg was one of the first experiments produced by project Genesis, conducted by a secret swedish company named Mega Tech.  The original intention was to reverse engineer bird DNA to bring out the genes found within their raptor ancestors, and reconfigure the genome to produce actual living breathing fossils.  Zyg was their first and only success.  He was raised by the company within a prehistoric enclosure and was given the utmost care.  They found him to be extremely intelligent, as their data led them to believe.  He understood complex human speech and was able to communicate back with researchers.  Zyg 0001 was a huge success, he was friendly and intelligent, everything the researchers could have ever hoped.  After time had passed, Mega Tech had produced a device that allowed Zyg to communicate his thoughts more easily through computer produced speech.  The device was placed on the right side of his head, just a small metallic circle that didn't take up much space.

As soon as the United States government has discovered project Genesis, they bought the entire Mega Tech company out.  Zyg was their property now, and he was separated from his handlers and friends.  His communication device had also been taken away from him.  The United States then commenced their own operation upon Zyg, planning to turn him into a weapon to be used by black op missions.  They replaced his entire lower body and arms with metallic limbs, making him faster and stronger.  His razor sharp claws were infused with laser heating technology, allowing him to cut through most materials.  Zyg was not too pleased about his new situation, as he'd been raised on the kindness of humans thus far.  He never wanted to resort to violence.  One night, he had escaped his prison, making sure to use his new technology to his advantage.  On the way out, he had luckily found his communicator and other belongings.  On the run, through his communicator, he caught a strange broadcast.  100 Billion dollars were on the line at a tournament of champions!  Maybe Zyg could use that much human currency to buy his freedom from the U.S. and return to his home at Mega Tech!  He was upset that he'd have to fight to obtain the money, but he had to keep his raptor "eyes on the prize"!

Zyg is a docile raptor.  He prefers to challenge his primitive mind to meet the standards of everyday humans, but his intelligence surpassed the average adult long ago.  His mind is comparable to the scientists who raised him from birth...or rebirth.  Zyg prefers not to kill for fun either, just for food.  Even then, it hurts him to destroy precious life, but a raptor's gotta eat.  He longs to have the companionship he had received in his first facility.  Even though he has seen the worst of humanity, he wishes to one day stand beside them as an equal and not a monster.
Weapon(s) of choice: Laser Claws and hidden tail blade.

Power Array:

Healing Factor- Can heal large wounds faster than normal, resists most poisons and infections

Laser Propulsion- Zyg can fire a rather large laser from his mouth, a technique he discovered quite some time after leaving the government facility.  Those humans and their fascination with lasers.

Super-Human Strength- Zyg is no human, but due to his mechanical limbs and physique, Zyg can lift over ten tons.

Heightened Senses- Zyg, being a creature of the prehistoric era, has the ability to sense threats coming from any direction.

Personal Information
Name: Nori Amakusa (天草 儀, lit. Amakusa Nori)
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Species: [acronym="A human being interwoven with the nature of magic innately. (Still a human, just able to use magic well and the like)"]Magi[/acronym]

Nori has an elegant yet detached look, almost as if she were a doll at times, rather than an actual human being. Her features are without mar, and the deep blue of her hair in contrast with her [acronym="Eyes on the Prize"]golden eyes that seem to stare right through[/acronym] a person give off an air of royalty. The length of her hair usually demands that it's tied back with a gold and black tie, to keep it from distracting her in situations such as battle, but it retains an ever-so luminescent, soft glow.
Her body is somewhat developed, but still obviously not fully grown out yet. Nori's choice of outfit is fairly covering, with the dress long enough to not be indecent, but short enough to allow for a comfortable realm of movement. A brilliant red belt attached around her waist secures the sheaths for her two swords, which is always on her persona. [Exactly like the image]
nM8QVbd.jpg

[acronym="Only the hosts who have been told or the ones who look into her history would know, no one else would know unless Nori told them."][Note][/acronym] A child born from a secret line of archmagi, Nori had always been trained and taught to push herself to the limits, and then further. You must be the best in everything would be words that she'd end up hearing countless times throughout her life. Even when she did meet success however, it was only accepted with a barely noticeable nod, never any encouragement. For within the Amakusa family line, success was expected to be continually and naturally achieved, not some sort of amazing goal. As a result, she grew up most of her life on a regime starting from early morning into late at night ranging from studying, training her body, training her magic, and training her fighting. Her own practice sword would become more familiar to her than her own parents, who in her mind, seemed to be nothing more than the harsh drillmasters, ordering away at her life. Her own personality was repressed, as anything deemed unnecessary to success was deemed unnecessary altogether.
Above all though, what she wanted was recognition, for her family to actually see her in a kinder light, see her for what she was, as a child of theirs, and not just another example of the Amakusan success. This was the only motivator that had kept her going and going tirelessly, even when everything seemed bleak, because in her still [acronym="Back then."]young mind[/acronym], she had believed that one day, if she continued to work hard enough, it would gain her the one wish she wanted. There were many dark times when it seemed like she would never gain what she wished for, but other times when it seemed as if her family finally had begun to recognize her and give encouragement - albeit only in the slightest amounts. This kind of thing continued to give life to Nori, boosting her progress by leaps and bounds.
One day, her family had seemingly excitedly brought her over to their communication hub room, where all the computers and the like were stored. In it was details of what would come to be known as the Secret Cup Tournament, with the $100,000,000,000 USD reward for the grand winner. As they all read over the email with the invitation, the heads of the Amakusan family all told her that if she could win this tournament, she would be recognized as a true Amakusan, and possibly the scion for the next head. This was the news that Nori had been waiting to hear for over a decade, and of course, she immediately accepted, her spirit completely revitalized. This is the story of that girl, that will begin to unfold... Only time will tell where it leads though...
Although the Amakusan family had been a proud lineage, known for great successes and immense power within communities and other related magical groups, as other groups continued to rise and as technology advanced, replacing many things magic could do, the once-powerful heritage began to meet its demise. Quickly falling into decline and disrepair, they were working frantically to save all they could, but in the end, instead of maintaining the actual family line, they worked on creating a proud illusion of what the family had once been, with recreations of the past, leaving only a few bases for this formerly huge family.
Nori, from a young age, had begun to show success, if only out of her tireless efforts and her nonstop-attitude towards work, trying to gain recognition. She was someone who was completely enveloped in the illusion that the lineage heads had set up a long time ago, and when her magical talents began to shine through as she grew, they decided that she would become the savior of the family, and lead them back to being the powerful heads they once were.
Due to this, Nori's training regimes had suddenly began to pick up in pace and difficulty at around the age of nine, but the girl herself had only accepted and continued to move on, just as the heads were trying to do. When the email for the invitation to the Tournament had arrived the night before they had told Nori, all the heads of the family had gathered in an emergency meeting. One hundred billion US dollars would be more than enough to rebuild the Amakusan legacy into its proud past, and Nori was just the tool that would be perfect for it. She had been raised to be perfect, and perfection she had strived for and achieved in just about every field - in their minds, since they discarded all the negatives that had come with forcing such perfectionist attitudes upon a young girl starting from an early age. She would be the perfect key to their strategy, and with all-too-happy smiles, they agreed to tell Nori "excitedly" about the invitation the next morning...

Closed off would be the best way to describe this girl. After having been invited to join the Secret Cup Tournament, Nori had decided to interact only when necessary, not wanting to have to make any bonds that would only be painful or troublesome later. However, it's obvious that she doesn't like having to do things this way, and sometimes she can be seen with a sad or lonely look in her eyes - although she'd promptly leave if you tried to make a mention of it.
Towards killing, Nori had grimly resolved that she would not let herself be affected by having to take blood. However, she believed that she should still honor the deceased, no matter who they were while they were alive. As a result of that belief, Nori decided she'd repeat a small mantra to herself before each battle, although she herself was not religious in the typical sense. "Forgive me, for I have sinned. Unto dust, by my hand, shalt my enemies return. And unto dust, I shalt return, in time due." She had also taken to buying a large amount of flowers, all in various hues of blue that had different meanings, to place upon the deceased after they had passed. She had accepted that killing would probably be necessary, for her to survive, but that she could at least pay her respects, and is accepting when her own time will eventually come - but not during the tournament.
Nori holds honor as a high value, and does not resort to dirty techniques if she is not absolutely forced to. This is not to say that she would not use said techniques if she was seriously pressed, because above all, she has a goal that she must reach that would be impossible if she herself were to lose or die within the course of the tournament. Nori has not spoken to anyone about what her goal is, not even to the hosts or leaders, as they had not asked, nor would she unless she was forced to, via some sort of ultimatum.
If it were not for the fact that all of the other contestants would have to either forfeit, submit, be crippled, or be killed, Nori would be more open to making bonds. With the situation as it is though, she has decided that her own strength would and should be enough to keep herself going, because in her mind, if she cannot win by her own strength, it is not a win at all. In addition, becoming friends would only cause more pain, when they'd eventually have to turn on one another as the tournament draws to an end. This method of living her life out hurts her as well though, and she can be sometimes seen with a pained look in her eyes.

Ame-no-Murakumo-no-Tsurugi & Sword of Goujian
Two of the greatest swords in Eastern lore, their craftsmanship rivals and exceeds that of just about any other blade, leading to people of the past proclaiming the workers having been helped by ancient deities to make such a magnificent blade. While these two weapons are not quite so heavenly as those people thought, they still are highly durable as well as very good at maintaining a razor-sharp edge that can cut through just about most mortal creations (although items such as the Scissors of Atropos' blade would shear through them rather easily).
The former of the two swords is the longer of the two, and Nori's main weapon, while the latter of the two is the short sword that she can utilize if the situation turns for the worse. Their intrinsic connections to mythical lore and supposed deities helps to act as a strong channeler for Nori's magic and powers, as well as fortifying the blades further.
Upon Nori's ownership of the weapons however, her magic combining with the ancient weapons ended up turning both of them a brilliantly deep blue, similar to her hair but darker. In addition, having bonded with Nori's magics, if they happen to lose contact with her hand, she can call on them to force them to reappear within her grasp.

Clawed Gauntlets
Protects her hands and turns them into a versatile shield she can use to deflect blows from lower-quality blades, as well as maintain a careful but firm grip on her own blades.

Fūrinkazan
Fūrinkazan is a set of techniques created and solely used by Nori. Each of the "elements" are a different application of Nori's magic channeled through her swords.
Fū (lit. wind) manifests as a incredibly fast strike which can pierce through the air endlessly until it hits something which repels back (such as armor). The power decreases as the distance increases, due to factors such as wind resistance, however, the strike gives off no energy or magical shockwave in itself. Thus, being bombarded by Fū multiple times can slice away at armor before it tears through. Fū is one of the quickest attacks within this arsenal that Nori can execute, as well as probably one of the quickest possible attacks in general. While each blow is not very significant at a longer distance, it is the concept of "one thousand cuts", chipping away at the enemy nonstop until they break. The speed of this attack is high enough that if you are able to see the swing of the blade, it would have already hit you. However, those of extremely fast reflexes could potentially parry away the strike with a blow, as it is a thin formation of extremely high-speed air flying at the target, like an 'air blade'. This would cause a disruption in the air flow, breaking apart the "air blade". However, it is to note that randomly swinging around is not helpful, as the blow itself is very thin and very fast, so a block would have to precisely slam into the path of the strike to disrupt the motion of the air particles.
Rin (lit. forest) is a technique for a much closer-range style of fighting. The maximum range is roughly only 4-5m, but within that range, it is immensely deadly, due to the fact that it utilizes portals. One portal appears on the tip or edge of the blade to carry it through, while the other can appear wherever the user of this technique chooses, as long as it is within the 4-5m range, from which point the blade exits through the front or back of the second portal to attack the enemy. As a result, the user could potentially stab forward while the target would end up getting stabbed from behind or the side or the like. However, those of quick reflexes could potentially end up being able to dodge out of the way, as the small portals cause a slight "whsshhh"-like whirring sound to be emitted from the spot where the portal would form, around a second before it does form.
Ka (lit. fire) is undoubtedly the most powerful of the four techniques, although it is not without its high drawbacks. It takes a large amount of time and energy to build up to utilize this move, however, once the forces are gathered, the user can release all the power at once in a massive cutting strike or a piercing blow. The energies gathered then release themselves towards the direction of the attack in a massive shockwave that can cleave a small building in two like a knife piercing through a wet paper towel. After this attack is used once however, it cannot be used again within around a 4-5 minute period, due to the energy drain on the user and the amount of power it takes to utilize it in the first place.
Zan (lit. mountain) is the sturdiest of the techniques, as it can be triggered by piercing the sword through just about anything that has an origin from the earth. Upon doing so, a massive, highly dense block of that material explodes upwards or outwards (depending on the direction of the sword stab) from the origin, acting as a shield, a distraction while escaping, or a place to hide.
Basic Enhancements
As a result of being a Magi, certain benefits come along. These include things such as better endurance, durability, agility, strength, aging slower and the like. They're not a huge boost, but still gives enough of an edge to outlast regular humans easily. Climbing up buildings, jump-rolling off buildings, and other tasks that seem superhuman become a natural ability of the body, although this by no means makes them all-perfect. They can still be tired, injured and face other negative consequences just like any other human, only just at a slower rate and to a lesser extent.

Eyes on the Prize
Name: Fate Etheria (Etheria is her given name)
Gender: Female
Age: 15
Species: Human

Height: 150 cm (4'11")
A very cute and delicate looking girl; small, with big red-orange eyes and small doll-like features. Her blonde hair is very well kept, giving off a lightly sweet fragrance from her shampoo in addition to being extremely silky. Etheria's figure is still very undeveloped, and despite minor muscle definition and fat, she is lean enough to seem quite lanky. Her color scheme in clothing design is primarily red-orange and black, with her hooded red cloak capable of completely obscuring her upper body. A rather revealing black battle suit is worn underneath, but only covers to any degree the really important parts. She is never seen around without fully equipped for battle with her scissors at hand. [AKA, everything is exactly like the picture]
vPo3BAP.png

nyeh, I could've written this backstory better, but I wrote it while constantly changing the details and can't be bothered to rewrite it one more time for a polished version. Personality should be better. tl;dr Etheria comes from an Ancient Greek Illuminati that lost its power. She had an isolated childhood around people who didn't care about anything any more. When people came to destroy the organization and steal the Shears of Atropos, she took the Shears and escaped. She became famous in the magic underground for constantly eluding the magic guild, Fenrir. Then, she joined the tournament so that she can use money to protect herself.

"Fate" is a very recognizable name in magic-oriented circles; it is the epithet given to all leaders of the Moirai, an ancient Sisterhood that was once the Illuminati of the magic world, pulling the strings in the shadows of human history. Their claim to power lay in their possession of the legendary Fates' Tools, the Spindle, the Rod, and the Shears, which, when used together, could manipulate human destiny. The Moirai was divided into three branches, Clotho, Lachesis, and Atropos, each of them holding charge of one of the Tools, and each assigned a part in the running of the organization. Clotho consisted of mages and priestesses who presided over the day-to-day running of the organization; Lachesis consisted of magic scholars and spies who gathered knowledge; and Atropos was the abhorred and feared Black Ops division consisting of assassins. Their meddling in various affairs earned the enmity of a great number of mages and organizations, but they were ever elusive and ever tenacious. Countless Temples were destroyed, and countless Sisters slaughtered, but they continued to survive and they would strike back twice as hard with the Atropos division. Ironically, the greatest adversary of the organization that controlled Fate was Time itself. Weakened by the changing ages, they eventually lost two of their Fate's Tools in attacks from other organizations. Their tremendous influence eroded over the ages, until in the 21st century, only one Temple of Atropos remained, deep underground in Greece.

Etheria was born in this subterranean Temple, where only 20 or so Sisters remained. Her father unknown, and her mother dying soon after giving birth, she was under the care of the 20 woman who had lost all hope for their order and merely sat around mooching off the sect's treasure vaults and worshiping the Moirai's ancient days.

To maintain the Temple's secrecy and protect the artifact inside its Vaults, Etheria was not allowed outside and never saw the sun. She spent her days in the Temple's library (which had internet access), growing up to be a rather frail child. The sisters didn't bother with her combat training; truth be told, they were not that well trained themselves and lacked the capability to train others. Etheria was also quite average in terms of magical power, so they thought it wasn't worth trying to train her. However, Etheria was curious after reading texts on the techniques of the Atropos division, and began teaching herself how to fight.

Despite her apparently average mana reservoirs, Etheria was a prodigy that only graced the prestigious Atropos bloodline once in a thousand years; her mind matured far faster than a regular child's, and her sheer fighting talent was immense. The Sisters were foolish not to notice this, for it could have spelled the rebirth of their order. Just to kill time, Etheria began to practice body enhancement and stealth; all the while the Sisters paid her no heed. What they didn't realize was that her training, which should have been done inside a magic containment room, was sending out mana shockwaves, shockwaves that soon appeared on the radar of magic guilds hunting them.

Fenrir, a Norse magic association, was the first to locate the Temple and had the area completely surrounded. The Sisters were easily rounded up; however, they were still fanatics and refused to divulge the secret location of the Shears, the last of the Fate's Tools. In addition, they all bore curses that would kill them if anyone tried to pry into their brains. The only one who was willing to give away the treasure's location was Etheria. The Sisters never told her, but she easily realized the location given the layout of the Temple and the Sister's behavior. As the Vault required a member of Atropos to open, Etheria led her captors there herself. Her captors made the same mistake of underestimating the little girl. Although she was at first unarmed, in the Vault already was the ultimate weapon - the Shears themselves.

Etheria knew they would just kill her after she lead them there, Atropos was a hated organization and they intended to erase the Moirai from history. Grabbing the scissors, she caught her three guards by surprise and easily finished them off. She considered rescuing the captured Sisters, but realized that they were nothing but hindrances in her life, and would only weigh her down.

Her life from there was spent on the run from one location to the next. The challenge of being hunted sharpened her talents and her wits. She had no time to train, so her fighting style developed naturally through countless life or death encounters. She also stole the equipment of the assassins sent after her. Etheria soon gained infamy throughout the magic world and became known as the Little Red Riding Hood, who escaped from the belly of the wolf and was forever on the run. This infamy earned her an invitation to the Secret Cup.

Realizing if this tiresome hunt continued, she would die, but if she could use the power of 100 billion dollars to protect herself, she still had a chance. Now begins the fight of a girl with absolutely nothing to lose.

The important thing to note about Etheria is that despite her genius, she is still hugely naive and inexperienced in all matters of the world. She has never had anyone to consider a friend, nor has she really been exposed to the opposite sex. Her fighting style is still unpolished and experimental. However, she isn't exactly a cloudcuckoolander. Etheria learns and adapts incredibly fast. Her logical deduction ability allows her to understand things easily and fill in the holes for things she doesn't know.

Her personality is somewhat grey and in rapid development. She is more introverted than not, however she is curious about other people, about friendship, about love, about life. A life without a moment to rest gave her little time to explore. When she works up the courage, she can be quite talkative, although she is very blunt and honest. Despite her curiosity of others, she can also be very cynical and suspicious of ulterior motives; the conflict between her cynicism and curiosity is a daily occurrence.

As someone who has never had to consider others, Etheria puts herself above anything else. She would deceive and kill others in a heartbeat for her own objectives. Raised in an assassin's cult, she lacks the common sense and morals society has. People are nothing to her.

Currently, Etheria is seeking some sort of purpose for her continued existence. Her life is miserable, stressful, and empty, yet she continues to abide by her instinct to survive. She actually has no idea what she would really do with the 100 billion, other than to hire security for herself, she supposes she may as well just live the rest of her life in the lap of luxury.

The Shears of Atropos (See appearance section)
A pair of scissors stolen from Death himself, it is the ultimate tool that brings an End to the existence of anything it cuts. As a metaphysical artifact, it is unbreakable despite seeming to be made of dense metal, and its inner scissor edges have been sharpened to a quantum level, allowing it to shear through almost anything, physical or magical, like a knife through butter. While its unstoppable cutting power and infinite durability already makes it a top-tier weapon, its true power lies in that its cuts cannot be healed for 24 hours; if it cuts away a part of something, the part cut away will disappear; and if more than 30% of something was cut away, the entirety of what the Shears cut will be permanently destroyed as what it cuts isn't just the physical body but also the metaphysical Concept of the thing being cut. (Of course, its abilities aren't absolute, but because the scissors are so powerful as a tool of the highest tier, it may well be considered absolute) In the hands of a more skilled magic user, the Shears can also be used to cut things in different dimensions, as well as cut away parts of things without harming the whole. For example, it could cut away a magical curse on someone. The Shears are soulbound to Etheria and as long as Etheria is alive, no one can open the blades and its cutting power disappears. Even for Etheria, the scissors are quite heavy and slow her down a bit.

Smoke Bombs and Flashbangs
Bombs no bigger than a marble made with state of the art technology. The smoke can cover a radius of twenty meters and is difficult to blow away or dispel. The flashbangs are created to be able to deal with supernatural beings, so even if a normal human closed their eyes and covered their ears, they'd still be very briefly blinded and deafened.

Magitech Sensory System
A pair of magitech headphones and magical contact lenses greatly expand Etheria's senses. The headphones can increase and decrease sound detection at will to prevent excessive noise such as from the flashbangs and allow Etheria to pick up on whispers. It also has a sonar function. The magical contact lenses also can modify light detection levels, and allow Etheria to see infrared and/or magic particles if she wants.

Enhanced Physical Abilities
Etheria exhibits physical abilities far beyond that of a regular human as her body is heavily enhanced by magic. Compared to other superhuman beings that specialize in physical ability, she is below average, but she is still capable of holding her own. Things like jumping long distances and running up the side of buildings are within her range of ability. (Think of Servants in the Fate/ franchise)

Freeform Martial Arts
A battle genius of the highest caliber, Etheria has an intuitive fighting sense that allows her to know how to properly move her body, despite not adhering to any known martial art. Her reflexes and instincts also far exceed that of even a veteran warrior. Because of this, she can fight on par with high level martial artists. It also allows her to quickly learn to use any weapon or fighting style, and she has figured out how to take advantage of the large and unwieldy scissors in combat. Her skills are still heavily unrefined, however, and her beast-like instincts can be used against her by a true grandmaster.

Stealth
In a regular fighting arena, she may be at a disadvantage, however a terrain-based arena allows her to make use of her abilities as an assassin. Her footsteps are quite soft and she is capable of adjusting her gait to blend in with the natural sounds of the area. Etheria can also erase her presence and use minor glamour magic to the extent of hiding in plain sight; an unwary observer may simply fail to notice her. As her magical abilities are mostly focused on physical enhancement, she is incapable of more advanced stealth magic such as invisibility.

Ahhhhh okay yeah I'll try and come up with something. So magic is okay? Any kind of magic in particular not allowed or just power limit?

Magic is okay.  For the time being, pretty much all magic is allowed as long as you don't go overboard.  For example purposes, you could be a necromancer, but you can't revive Christ.  As awesome as that would be, He's already risen.  Further examples include being a pyromancer, but no, you cannot call down the sun itself.  Just be reasonable.  Feel me?
Atropos (See appearance section)
A pair of scissors stolen from Death himself, it is the ultimate tool that brings an End to the existence of anything it cuts. As a metaphysical artifact, it is unbreakable despite seeming to be made of metal, and its scissor edges have been sharpened to a quantum level, allowing it to shear through anything. While its unstoppable cutting power and infinite durability already makes it a top-tier weapon, its true power lies in that if it cuts away a part of something, the part cut away will disappear, and if more than 30% of something was cut, the entirety of what Atropos cut will be permanently destroyed as what it cuts isn't just the physical body but also the metaphysical Concept of the thing being cut. (Of course, its abilities aren't absolute, but because the scissors are so powerful as a tool of the highest tier, it may well be considered absolute) In the hands of a more skilled user, Atropos can also be used to cut things in different dimensions, as well as cut away parts of things without harming the whole. For example, it could cut away a magical curse on someone.
Interest noted~

I think I'm going for an android character similar to Gremmy~

Happy to have you aboard milady.  With that, I will declare the OOC officially accepting applications.

As soon as the United States government has discovered project Genesis, the bought the entire Mega Tech company out, Zyg was their property now and he was separated from his handlers and friends.  His communication device had also been taken away from him.  The United States then commenced their own operation upon Zyg, planning to turn him into a weapon to be used by black op missions.  The replaced his entire lower body and arms with metallic limbs, making him faster and stronger. 100 Billion dollars was on the line at a tournament of champions!  Maybe Zyg could use that much human currency to buy his freedom from the U.S. and return to his home at Mega Tech!

Misc.:  Theme Song - Bramble Blast
I am adoring Zyg.  But you're missing one thing.  Double check the rules, and Zyg will be considered for acceptance.
Name:  Morgan Reaperson

Gender: Female

Age:  19

Species:  Human...? (explanation in bio)
xKZSjwu.jpg?1
Morgan doesn’t look much different than your average human girl. She stands at a somewhat average five foot six inches (168 cm) and weighs in at 125 pounds (56kg). She has various different clothing she wears, most of it light and comfortable, but she usually wears black and always is wearing her pointed hat. There’s a strange shine in her eyes, akin to that of a cat, that can be seen when the light hits it just right.

Morgan is the daughter of a very dangerous man. A wizard named Grimsley who has transcended humanity to gain the powers of a lich. He has lived hundreds of years by using this power and had a considerable fortune when he moved to America. Once there he started an organization with the simple goal of world domination. It was long thought that he wouldn’t be able to have a child and yet, through some magic ritual he doesn’t discuss with anyone, his then wife was impregnated with a child, Morgan.
It’s unknown for sure what race Morgan is. As her mother was human and Grimsley was supposedly also human the best guess is she’s the same. But it’s not a certainty.
Morgan’s mother died shortly after the birth. From then on Morgan was the center of Grimsley’s world. She had him wrapped around her finger and was given literally everything that she could ever have wanted. When she got old enough she started to take part in the “family business”.
Morgan was adapt at magic, possibly would be even more so than Grimsley with time. And she used it to good effect, taking over several other similar organizations through force.
However Morgan was horrible with money. She just couldn’t stop buying and buying and buying. Eventually even Grimsley had enough and cut her off. She was planning a massive plot to steal all the money of one of the smaller countries when she was contacted. A mysterious message telling her about a Secret Cup tournament being held that she was invited too.
Thrilled at the prospect of all that money, with her eyes on the prize of a massive spending spree, Morgan took off at once.

Extremely selfish. Everything belongs to Morgan and screw you if you think otherwise. A total brat, but a smart brat. She has been known to have a bit of a temper at times but experience has taught her that it’s better to be sweet and charming to get what she wants. She isn’t above being  aggressive when necessary however. She truly does thing that she deserves the best, always, and she doesn’t mind letting you know it.

Strangely innocent. Morgan knows practically nothing about romance and doesn't quite understand the concepts of love and lust alike. Probably due to being sheltered by her father. Dirty jokes and flirting will go right over Morgan's head and she doesn't grasp the fact that her sweet and charming act can appear as such.

That being said, Morgan is quite easy to offend and gets genuinely hurt when people are mean to her. This is quite hypocritical of her as she doesn't mind doing similar to others, but as stated earlier Morgan is selfish like that and doesn't really care.

Morgan will get very attached to someone if they are interesting enough and help her whenever she needs it. But this attachment is usually purely platonic. Morgan likes having friends and being social, as long as she doesn't have to give them anything.
Curiosity may have killed the cat but that doesn’t stop Morgan. She’s insatiably curious about everything and everyone and loves to learn and see new things. Also quite adventurous, Morgan craves excitement and has often lived life on the edge. She doesn’t worry about the consequences of her actions ever, except when it comes to if it’ll interfere with her goals.

Weapon(s) of choice:  None, unless a fire-resistant broomstick counts.

Power Array:

Levitation: Morgan can “hover” several feet above the ground and travel at running speed in this fashion. She usually does this while sitting on her broomstick for “effect”

Skeleton Giant: As the name suggests, this is Morgan’s ability to create a twelve foot Skeleton out of magic, which has superhuman strength and wields a large bone-club. It’s not very fast and can only follow basic commands. Overtime it can reassemble itself when broken but not nearly instant.

Metal as f***: Morgan’s signature ability, a magic that summons and uses flaming skulls as a projectile. They explode upon impact and Morgan can have five at once. They hover around her when not being thrown.

Frenzy Plant: Morgan can create thick magical roots which come from the ground that she can control to encircle, crush, or just slam into, her opponents.
Weeeeeeeee're gonna have to talk this one over.  It's a very interesting weapon she has, but it seems overwhelming.  It's like, what, a 3 hit instagib?  I'll talk this over with UE and get back to you.

It's an unblockable attack, but the scissors are difficult to use considering how large they are, and it's still perfectly possibly to parry or dodge. The scissors literally have to cut you in two to kill you, and for most, being cut in half already means you're dead. It's just especially effective against people who rely on defense or regeneration. Also, it can cut things like explosives so they don't explode and simply disintegrate.

On another note, I've made her physical abilities basically equal to the physical abilities of Servants in the Fate/ franchise, which may or may not be overpowered. (Although, I don't think so, considering we have dinosaurs that can lift 10 tons)

All in all, she's a just a decently strong close combat fighter who has a powerful but unwieldy weapon.

~Roboute Guilliman, father of Mareneus Guilliman, otherwise known as Mareneus Calgar.

Name:  Mareneus Authurus Calgar (Guilliman is his birth name, he doesn't know that.)
Gender: Male
Age: Physical Age 35, Actual Age impossible to determine unless he dies due to physical augmentation.
Species: Homo sapiens Augenous (Augmented Human)
More detail later.
Appearance:
869428b.jpg99120101106_CenturionDevastatorSquadNEW0

Mareneus Calgar weighs around 20 stone in pure muscle and is 6 feet 6 inches without armour. He has brilliant white-grey hair and a very angular jaw, with a mouth filled with straight, gleaming white teeth. His remaining eye is a brilliant green while the other resembles a monocle with various mechanical appendagex grafted to his face. His Terminator Armour extends his height to 7 feet 4 inches, and is adorned with all kinds of prayers, codes of honor and teachings he lives by. It is a brilliant blue and is decorated with white and gold.

His Centurion Armour is huge, extending him to 10 feet 8 inches and is rather angular, but as Calgar had to complete it with half finished plans it appears to have several weaknesses, and instead of being helmetless, he gains a red helmet with a white plume, similar to a Roman Centurion.
Biography:
Mareneus Authurus Calgar, what a name. It is one that commands respect but recently, the name Calgar has disappeared, dropped, seemingly, off the face of the earth and yet he has returned.

After his sole father figure, Lord Authurus Macragge, from whom he got his middle name from, committed suicide after learning that Gerald-'Bloody-f*cking'-Dillinger of all men was buying out Macragge industries. Sickened, he took his own life. Calgar, who had been raised from an infant since his parents had abandoned him by Lord Macragge himself, was his sole bodyguard, his mirror, sword and shield and Calgar felt he had failed his job in protecting him. Calgar had taken all Adeptus Astartes materiel and disappeared, leaving his sour half-brother to wallow in despair. Calgar had to plan his revenge.

Now, all these years later, getting the message from Gerald all these years later, 42 years later, after modifications and tests and bodyguarding services to raise funds, this was the oppurtunity he needed.
One of twelve, to stay at the best hotel in the world, with the shot of winning payback, internal peace, respect and least importantly to Mareneus, 100 billion dollars.

Mareneus Authurus Calgar is a name that will not only be synonymous with Loyalty, Generosity, Respect and Inspiration, but also, Revenge.

Personality:
Stalwart, just and loyal, these best describe the steel-minded azure warrior whom hails from England. Calgar isn't afraid to get his hands dirty and will not take any reservations in this tournament. A master tactician, his highly augmented brain helps him analyze angles, force and relative strength, which help in any situation. A vengeful soul, he will follow a goal with reckless abandon, to the detriment of his own safety or others. He will champion the weak, and cut the egotistical down to size. He has a will of titanium and an armour made of sterner stuff, but his only weakness, is his pride. He's no iconoclast, he plays the game, or wishes not to change the rules.

Weapons of Choice:
Hammer of Macragge - A large two handed hammer with ornate skulls all around it. Once owned by British Lord Macragge, given to Calgar under terms of his will.
Bolter - Small, one handed SMG that fires 9mm bullets at 12 rounds per second. The bullets have the Knight's code of honour carved into them.
Reaper Sword - A nicely made, one handed, permanently sharp shortsword about four feet long once owned by Macragge's only heir, his son, but he was uninterested in the ornate silver blade and so handed it to his father's then bodyguard Calgar after the funeral as a 'dismissal gift' and compensation for being put out of a job. It's true nature is unknown.

Powers Array:
He Shall Know No Fear - Calgar does not 'Run away' in one on one confrontation, he will only retreat for safety of civilians and innocents. It is a curse and blessing of his augmentations. Disobeying this impulse causes extreme pain to Calgar it is debilitating.
Mark IX Macragge Industries Adeptus Astartes TERMINATOR CLASS Armour -- ARTIFICER VARIANT- A blue, gold and white ornate suit of power armour unable to be used by regular humans. This amplifies his already unnatural strength, but limits his mobility greatly, going for size and power over maneuverability and agility. There is a weak spot in the power core on his back, but it is heavily armoured but if it can be opened, Calgar is in serious trouble. This armour is 7ft4in in height and weighs three tonnes, meaning he cannot leave terra firma easily.
Mark VIII Macragge Industries Adeptus Astartes CENTURION CLASS Armour -- ARTIFICER VARIANT- Calgar can occasionaly come to fight in a Centurion Armour rather than his Terminator Armour, however, the Centurion Armour is even bigger and slower than Terminator Armour and was not completed by Macragge himself before he died, the remaining work was done by Calgar himself based on half finished plans and as a result, it is somewhat less reliable than one would expect and has noticeable weakspots, most notably on the left shoulder joint, the fuel pipeline running down the left forearm and the exposed pipes near the neck. This armour is 10ft8in in height and weights 7 tonnes.
Expert Leader - Educated every aspect of war, Calgar has been educated in the art of leadership and war to lead the now defunct Security Detail of elite augmented humans. Calgar has an inspiring aura that means sometimes, people will randomly come to his aid. The science is very imprecise and only works on other members of the Macragge Security Detail 100% of the time. Odds on other members will not appear.

Trivia:

-Mareneus Calgar has an incredible poker face. Never play with him.
-Calgar also competed in the Olympic Games just before his augmentations in every throwing event and single handedly won more gold medals than any other athlete worldwide during said games.
-Calgar's left eye is actually prosthetic, connected like a camera hardwired to his brain.

Personal Information

Name: Basil Thorne

Gender: Male

Age: 17

Species: Human
Height: 175 cm.

tYDIKd8.jpg
At first, it would appear that Basil Thorne was of odd, but rather mundane origins. His mother was a talented historian, but slighted the higher-ups of a few historic societies, thus lost her research grant and fell into debt. In her darkest times, she was helped by and fell in love with a darkly handsome stranger, but he disappeared soon after she became pregnant with his child. However, Basil's birth was actually foretold by the augurs of several magic organizations, including the ancient order of Druids and the up-and-rising martial organization Fenrir. When he was born, the hospital was visited by three of the most prominent members of Fenrir, who promised to raise him well while paying off all of his mother's debts, and offering her a job and house nearby where she could go and visit him every Sunday.

From then on, Basil was raised to be the greatest sage in history. A great deal of preparation had gone into his upbringing. He was taught by prominent scholars from a young age who taught him languages, sciences, maths, and philosophy. When he was twelve years old, they began his true training. He was to follow in the footsteps of countless ancient sages in a magical ritual that would bestow upon him ultimate wisdom and omniscience.

Basil sacrificed both his eyes to the ancient artifact Mimir's Well and he hung himself upon a World Tree for nine days in a cycle of constant death and rebirth to reenact the path of Odin. He was turned into a girl for three years as he followed the life of Tiresias, and he went to all the places Confucius was said to have visited. Every sage that the powerful organization could learn about, Basil studied and acted out the trials and tribulations of their lives.

However, before this ritual could be completed, the fight against countless rival organizations had depleted Fenrir's resources. Basil decided to join the Secret Cup in order to secure finances himself.
Basil has the aura of a great sage. No adversity seems to be able to break his calm, no pain can cloud his mind. He sports a subtle knowing smile that makes it feel like he can see right through you despite his blindness. And it's true, nothing really escapes him. Although he has to properly digest the knowledge, Basil has received, through his many experiences, the wisdom of countless great sages of the past. He is capable of making full use of the knowledge available to him to make clear and reasoned judgments. This is not to say that he is perfect, but he has reached a level capable of being called a Paragon among men.

Morally, Basil is completely lawful good. He will not kill unless there is no other way, and when he does, he gives proper rites and respect to the fallen. While he recognizes that other perspectives can be valid, his personal philosophical views are utilitarian and existential; his life is completely dedicated to his vision of the greater good. He is unaffected by vice or sin, and has an infinite propensity for forgiveness. It is only due to his wisdom and utter pureness of heart that he is able to utilize the ultimate Shaman ability, the Whisperer of All Things, to its full extent.

Although Basil has little real social experience, his received wisdom allows him to interact smoothly with other people. He can discern others' thoughts and feelings, and he is well aware of the social traditions of nearly all cultures on Earth. Basil is typically very soft-spoken, serious, and polite in conversation, but when he deems it appropriate and unlikely to aggravate the situation, he can show a sarcastic and humorous side.
While merely human, Basil has powerful magical abilities derived from Shamanism. However, his power is partially dependent on his virtuous nature, thus his abilities will diminish if he tries to use them for his own greed. He also refuses to kill.

Whisperer of All Things

Reaching the pinnacle of Shamanism, Basil has the ability to communicate with anything, from animals, to inanimate objects, to spirits and the dead. While he must speak with his mouth, the volume of his voice doesn't matter, and the words are merely a ritual and he conveys his feelings and intentions to the target through a telepathic link. This is an ability that allows him to try to convince animals, objects and spirits to help him. For example, he could ask a sword not to cut him. Because Basil is loved by the world and his intentions are pure, most things will do his bidding unless they have a reason not to, for example, a sword may hold loyalty to its owner. Main applications of this ability include:

 • Unlimited Knowledge: "Oh spirits, I inquire of thee..." Basil has access to the knowledge of everything around him. Because of this, he can perceive things without seeing them. Using this, it is not possible to hide from him, except with magic. This ability also helps him dodge incoming attacks.
 • Zephyr Flight: "Oh wind, lift me up." He asks the wind and air itself to let him fly.
 • Structure Formation: "Oh rocks, oh trees..., create..." He can bend things around him at will. Usually, this is used to manipulate the terrain or create some sort of defensive barrier.
 • Visual Illusions: "Oh light..." He can bend light in order to camouflage himself. When standing still, it approaches the level of invisibility, however it can be easy to perceive him when he's moving.
The weakness of this ability is that Basil cannot lie to anyone or anything he speaks to using this method, and he must remain pure of heart. He can only give one command at a time, and he must visualize in his head what he intends. The greater the request, the longer he must speak to the receiver of the request.

Astral Travel/Astral Form

Basil can leave his body to wander while his body enters a trance. His spirit can be hit by special magic, but otherwise cannot be touched by the physical realm. As a spirit, Basil can see and still speak telepathically using his Whisperer of All Things. While his spirit is within ten meters of his body, he can give his spirit a physical form (identical to his real appearance). His spirit becomes visible, although it is blue and transparent. The physical form of his spirit possesses great physical strength and speed, and it is extremely durable, allowing Basil to block attacks with this ability. The power is quite draining so he doesn't use it if he doesn't need to. At most he can maintain it for 30 seconds.
