One of my characters next duel will use Fortune Ladies. I really like using rogue decks. Problem is they tend to be undersupported so it is hard to compete with them, even when you tech in various antimeta cards. So when I have a character use rogue decks I often have to create support cards to make their decks more competitive.

Fortune Ladies are interesting, but they have two big deficiencies. The first is ways to search for Fortune Lady Light and remove her from the field. Setting her effect off is the heart of a Fortune Lady deck. The second is most Fortune Ladies lack sheer brute force and speed. So I either have to enhance them or create new Fortune Lady monsters.

Fortune Lady Monsters

||This card's ATK and DEF are equal to its Level x 300. During each of your Standby Phases, increase the Level of this card by 1 (max 12). When a face-up "Fortune Lady" monster you control destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, you can banish it: Special Summon 2 Level 4 or lower "Fortune Lady" monsters with different names from your Deck.||

The new boss Fortune Lady monster. She starts with a solid 2400 ATK and DEF. Her real strength is her ability to summon 2 Fortune Ladies from your Deck. That is pretty strong since you can bring out all sorts of combos, like Summoning Fortune Lady Water and Fortune Lady Fire, so you can destroy your opponents monster, inflict damage, and draw 2 cards. You can also bring out another Fortune Lady Light.

If this card is destroyed: Special Summon 1 of your banished "Fortune Lady" monsters.||

Starts out with 2100 ATK and DEF. It can destroy your opponent's field with relative ease, especially if you have many Fortune Ladies out. And when it dies you can bring back a banished Fortune Lady.

||This card's ATK and DEF are equal to its Level x 300. During each of your Standby Phases, increase the Level of this card by 1 (max 12). If you control a "Fortune Lady" monster: you can Special Summon this card from your hand. Once per turn: you can banish the top 3 cards from your Deck; increase the Level of a "Fortune Lady" monster you control by 3. ||

She can raise the Level of any Fortune Lady, which can make the high Level ones pretty powerful. Banishing Fortune Ladies is draw fodder for Fortune's Future.

||This card's ATK and DEF are equal to its Level x 100. During each of your Standby Phases, increase the Level of this card by 1 (max 12). If you control a "Fortune Lady" monster: you can Special Summon this monster from your hand. Once per turn: you can return 1 "Fortune Lady" monster you control to your hand to Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Fortune Lady" monster with a different name from your Deck. ||

It can help get out a Fortune Fairy Light or swarm the field if you already have Light out. Being a Tuner gives it great Sychro potential.

Fortune Lady Spells/Traps

||Banish 1 "Fortune Lady" monster you control: Special Summon 2 "Fortune Fairy" Tokens (Spellcaster-Type/LIGHT/LV 1/ATK 0/DEF 0). If "Fortune Fairy" Token(s) you control is destroyed by battle or card effect: draw 1 card. This effect can only be activated once per turn. ||

You can protect yourself with Tokens, which also come with a Supply Squad-ish effect.

||Banish 1 "Fortune Lady" monster you control: destroy 2 cards your opponent controls.||

Being able to destroy your opponent's cards gives the Fortune Ladies more oomph.

||Once per turn: you can banish 1 "Fortune Lady" monster you control; add 1 "Fortune Lady" monster from your Deck to your hand. Special Summon 1 "Fortune Lady" monster banished by this card's effect during your next Standby Phase.||

You can search for a Fortune Lady and get the one you banished back next Standby Phase.

||Both players excavate the top 5 cards in their Decks. If you excavated "Fortune Lady" monster(s): Special Summon 1 of them. If your opponent excavated any monster(s): he/she Special Summons 1 of them. Both players shuffle their Decks. ||

Something that helps you Special Summon Fortune Ladies from your Deck, but your opponent can Summon something as well.

||Special Summon 1 "Fortune Lady" monster from your hand, and draw 1 card.||

You can Special Summon and draw 1 card.

Generic Support and Miscellaneous

[spoiler=cards]

||Add 1 Level 3 or lower Spellcaster-Type monster from your Deck to your hand.||

Being able to search for Fortune Lady Light helps a lot.

rl8rvmf.jpg

||Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower banished monster. Banish it at the end of your turn.||

Since you'll be banishing a lot with these cards...

kfq8nEV.jpg

||Once per turn: you can banish 2 Spellcaster-Type monsters from your Graveyard; destroy 1 card you control and 1 card your opponent controls. If this card is destroyed and send to the Graveyard: you can add 1 banished Spellcaster-Type monster to your hand.||

Banishes Fortune Ladies and is a good way of removing Fortune Lady Light from the field. Good control card overall.

||Special Summon a monster you control that was banished this turn. Send it to the Graveyard at the end of your next turn.||

You can keep a Fortune Lady you banished for a brief period of time.

||When an opponent's monster declares an attack: Target the attacking monster; negate the attack. Move the turn count forward by 2 turns. The turn in which this card is activated continues as normal. When an opponent's monster declares an attack: You can banish this card from your Graveyard; negate the attack. Move the turn count forward by 2 turns. The turn in which this card is activated continues as normal.||

By letting two turns pass, you increase the ATK and DEF of your Fortune Ladies by a lot. You can also use it again if it's in your Graveyard.

3Dnced7.jpg

||You can only activate this card during the Battle Phase. Move the turn count count forward by 3 turns. The turn this card is activate continues as normal.||

Yugi used this in the Millennium Arc. I just updated the text. Gives Fortune Ladies a huge ATK and DEF boost.

4tlDPu5.jpg

||If you Normal Summon this card: Special Summon 1 "Fortune Lady" monster from your Banished Zone. If this card leaves the field, banish the "Fortune Lady" monster Summoned by this card's effect.||

Kinka-byu for Fortune Ladies! Yay!

i5XBkjR.jpg

||If 2 or more "RPG" or Spellcaster-Type monsters you control are destroyed by battle or card effects: you can Special Summon this card from your hand, and they are not destroyed. While face-up on the field: this card's Level is always treated as 13. Once per turn: if "RPG" or Spellcaster-Type monster(s) you control would be destroyed by battle or card effects; you can roll a six-sided die, then they is not destroyed and you gain 1000 Life Points if you roll 1, 2, or 3, or this card cannot declare an attack this turn if you roll 6.||

Card from a completely different archtype but helps Fortune Ladies a lot, since you can bring him out to protect them.

A noble cause, but the cards seem kind of slow. It's nice that some of the monsters could be Special Summoned easily, but some of these cards just seem obsolete. Cards like Magical Excavation could easily just bleed into Shaddolls or other Spellcaster-Type monsters. Also, banishing Fortune Lady monsters isn't the basis of the archetype; there's really only two cards of the archetype for banished Fortune Lady monsters. What they had trouble doing was Summoning, and even if Summoned, keeping them on the field.

I agree with the sentiments expressed above. Another thing I'd like to point out is that moving the turn count forward does nothing for Fortune Ladies, because their Level increasing effect specifically mentions the Standby Phase, so regardless of what number turn this counts as, there will still only have been 1 Standby Phase that turn.

See http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Card_Rulings:Pyro_Clock_of_Destiny

Maybe instead of moving the turn count, you just simply have them increase the Levels of all Fortune Ladys you control? This would also set off Fortune Lady Earth's burn effect, making her slightly more usable.

I am a huge fan of the Fortune Ladies, and I like a lot of the ideas you have going here (Harvest Time with my suggested revision I think would be awesome). They just feel a little overrestricted. Maybe allow them to be a little more powerful, maybe eliminate a lot of the effects being Battle Phase centric. It would be fun to explore the idea of a Banishment-based Fortune Lady deck.
