I was brainstorming a few ideas thinking about how new rpgs differ from old ones and I came up with this idea for "LV" monsters. I decided to try out the idea with an old "LV" monster i made years ago.

Undine [uhn-deen]: a category of elemental beings associated with water. Is derived from the Latin word unda, meaning "wave".  - Wikipedia/Random Dictionary

This face-up card is not treated as a WATER monster. Once per turn: Target 1 monster on the field; you can change its attribute and if you do, you can change the battle position of that monster. During the End Phase, if this card used this effect this turn activate 1 of these effects;
- Return this card to your hand and shuffle 1 card in your Graveyard into the Deck.
- Send this face-up card to the Graveyard; Special Summon 1 'Undine LV6' from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard.

This face-up card is not treated as a WIND monster. Once per turn, this card cannot be destroyed by battle. Once per turn, during either player's turn; you can change the attribute of 1 monster on your opponent's field, then you can negate it's effect till the opponent's next Standby Phase. During the End Phase, if this card used this effect this turn you can send this face-up card to the Graveyard to Special Summon 1 'Undine LV9' from your hand or Deck.

This face-up card is not treated as a WATER monster. Once per turn, negate a monster effect that would target this card. Up to twice per turn, during your Main Phase or your opponent's Battle Phase: Target 1 monster on the field; change its attribute and if you do you can change the battle position of that monster. During the End Phase, if this card used this effect this turn you can send this face-up card to the Graveyard to Special Summon 1 'Undine LV9' from your hand or Deck.

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned by 'Undine LV6' and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. Cannot be destroyed by battle. You are unaffected by the effects of 'Clear World'. The Attribute of this card is also treated as WATER, FIRE, EARTH, and LIGHT while face-up on the field. Once per turn, during either player's turn: you can change the attribute of all monsters currently on your opponent's field, then you can negate the effects of all those monsters till the opponent's next Standy Phase. During the End Phase of the turn this card was sent from the field to the Graveyard: Add 1 'Undine LV3' from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand.

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned by 'Undine LV6' and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. This card is unaffected by monster effects. You are unaffected by the effects of 'Clear World'. The Attribute of this card is also treated as WIND, FIRE, EARTH, and DARK while face-up on the field. Up to thrice per turn, during your Main Phase or your opponent's Battle Phase: Target 1 monster; change its attribute and if you do you can change the battle position of that monster. The ATK of monsters whose attributes have been changed become 0 while this card is face-up on the field. During the End Phase of the turn this card was sent from the field to the Graveyard: Add 1 'Undine LV3' from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand.

If you control "Undine", equip to an opponent's monster. That monster cannot attack or activate its effects. The equipped monster loses 1000 ATK and DEF during each player's End Phase. When the ATK or DEF of the monster is reduced to 0, destroy that monster and inflict 1000 damage to your opponent equal to the number of End Phases that have passed since this card was activated. If this card is sent to the graveyard by this effect you can add it back to your hand.

I was thinking how newer rpg games allow characters to branch out to different classes depending on how you spread the stats. This is sort of emulating that. Unfortunately Undine belongs to a series I was working on around Clear World and attribute cards. Her effects are divided trying to make her efficient for Clear World and LV decks while still being viable and a decent contender outside of those decks. Still I think this "branching LV" idea is cool so I'll try creating other "LV" monsters with the same quirk at a later time.
