MystiKnight
PrefaceHello, and welcome to the Maidens of Gensokyo, or, Kaleidoscope archetype. All of these cards are based on the Touhou Project, a series of bullet hell shoot-em-ups. The theme running through the set lies in the use of the named spell cards, either cycling them to gain smaller advantages or matching your monsters to your spells to draw out their full power. All monsters in the deck are "Kaleidoscope"s, and each one has its own "Danmaku" spell card that can only be activated when you control the respective monster. However, each monster (bar one) has the ability to discard any "Danmaku" card to activate some less powerful effects. The deck was sort of designed in a vacuum, so I haven't put too much thought into how these cards interact with actual Yugioh cards. It's also a very slow deck that would likely get torn apart in actual playtesting, but that's mostly because I'm not a big fan of Yugioh's current super fast paced gameplay. Core Set:- Contains 12 Cards-> 4 Monsters (Two Level 1-4, One Level 5-6, One Level 7-8)-> 8 Spells (4 Danmaku, 3 Field Spells, 1 Utility Card)The core set is a group of cards that are fairly self sufficient. There aren't any huge OTKs or even flashy plays to be made with the set, but it should be enough to display the set's gimmick and show what direction the set is going towards as a whole.[spoiler=CORE SET LIST]Kaleidoscope AkyuuKaleidoscope AyaKaleidoscope MarisaKaleidoscope ReimuDanmaku: History of GensokyoDanmaku: Illusory DominanceDanmaku: Master SparkDanmaku: Youkai Sealing BarrierBorder of GensokyoAn Incident Begins!Gensokyo at PeaceHakkero Charge Extra Set:- Contains 10 Cards-> 5 Monsters (One Level 1-4, One Level 5-6, One Level 7-8, Two Fusion Monsters)-> 4 Spells (3 Danmaku, 1 Utility Card)-> 1 TrapThe Extra Set contains the first two fusion monsters, a unique spell card to activate the fusion, three monsters to help get what you need to activate the fusions, and the first trap card of the set. Combined with the Core Set, there's probably enough cards to make a passable, pure-Kaleidoscope deck (Except for the lack of traps).[spoiler=EXTRA SET LIST]Kaleidoscope KosuzuKaleidoscope AliceKaleidoscope PatchouliEX Kaleidoscope ReimuEX Kaleidoscope PatchouliDanmaku: Forbidden ScrolleryDanmaku: Explosive DollDanmaku: One-Week-MagicianLast WordPerfect Graze Support Set:- Contains 10 Cards-> 4 Monsters (One Level 1-4, One Level 5-6, One Level 7-8, One Fusion Monster)-> 4 Spells (3 Danmaku, 1 Utility Card)-> 2 TrapsThe Support Set allows you to take control of the game, giving you options and the ability to work around the early, middle and late stages of the game. The first proper boss monster of the set in Remilia pushes the game to a close, while Yukari helps to get to that point and Sakuya and the back row allows for cleaner, safer movement through the game.[spoiler=SUPPORT SET LIST]Kaleidoscope SakuyaKaleidoscope YukariKaleidoscope RemiliaEX Kaleidoscope RemiliaDanmaku: MisdirectionDanmaku: Border of LifeDanmaku: Spear the GungnirFocused IntentDeathbombPanicbomb Orthodox Set:- Contains 8 Cards-> 4 Monsters (One Level 1-4, Three Level 5-6)-> 4 Spells (4 Danmaku)The Orthodox Set brings Yugioh back to basics.
