Savior from the Darkness
Trap Card
Type: Counter
When your opponent activates a Spell Card, Trap Card, or monster effect that targets and/or destroys a card(s) you control: Target 1 DARK Warrior or Beast-Warrior-Type monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon that target, and if you do, negate the activation of that card, and if you do that, destroy it.  Also, that target is banished at the end of the phase this card was activated.

I wrote this a while ago, actually. I had the sentence on this card's name stuck in my mind and felt like making a card around it. The basic concept is a DARK monster coming from the grave to save another monster or the player itself. The first idea was to targe any DARK, but that would have been problematic considering BAs and Shaddolls in the metagame so I decided to go for a more strict condition. I settled with Warrior-Type, being somewhat flavorful because of the heroics, chivaldry, etc. associated to this type, then added Beast-Warriors for a bit more of playability.

So, this provides any DARK Warrior/Beast-Warrior deck a cute Counter Trap, while leaving, as far as I know, Armageddon Knight and Shadow Mist/HEROes as the most relevant targets for it; not sure if the metagame would be able to handle the later, which is why I am posting this card.

Thoughts?

When I first read the card I thought Masked Heroes immediately. I am not the best at OCG but I think Shadow Mist and Knight miss targeting. I like how its a starlight road to the extreme. I see uses in this. Going back to talking about Masked heroes though... That might be the only deck its good in. Or at least I can't think of more right now... Might help d heroes become viable if Konami will release support already.

Pros:

Starlight that works with singles and targeting

Grabs a monster

Your opponent loses a bit while you gain a bit

Concerns:

Very limited... This may be good though... Idk

Overall nice card. Not much to say about it really. Don't think much meta will care about it at the moment.

Hmm, Shadow Mist shouldn't miss its timing because it has an 'If" clause; however, I'm not sure on Armageddon Knight, because I would think that, as far as I know about PSCT and rulings, the wording I used on this card makes all effects occur simultaneously since they are all "and if" clauses, so in theory there shouldn't be any effect between Armageddon's Summon and its effect that could make it miss its timing.

But if it does miss timing, then it's fine, because you are already negating a card with this Counter while gaining a temporary monster that can serve as a wall, summon fodder, etc.
