*Edit: Changed to a printed Spirit monster, as suggested

*Edit2: Sub-type/OCG fixes.

An Xyz monster for Spirits. Helps keep your monsters on the field (forcibly special summoning its materials so that they don't have to return to hand), or alternatively a bouncing effect.

Lore: 2 Level 4 Spirit monsters

This card cannot be Special Summoned except by Xyz Summon. During the End Phase, if this card was Xyz Summoned this turn; Return it to the Extra Deck. You can detach 1 Xyz Material, then target 1 face-up card on the field; Return it to the hand. When this card would leave the field: Special Summon as many of its Spirit monster Xyz Materials as possible, ignoring the Summoning conditions.

I feel that Xyz Monsters could be true Spirit monsters without needing the "always treated as" clause. See Yamato-no-Kami. Same deal with your Synchro Monster. Though we don't have a true precedent, so who knows.

Must be Xyz Summoned and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. During the End Phase, if this card was Xyz Summoned this turn: Return it to the Extra Deck. [...]

It's detach effect is powerful, especially since you can use it twice in a single turn, but it's fine because of the Xyz Materials it requires. Seriously, how would you feasibly get 2 Spirit monsters on the field? The Synchro Monster seems much easier to Summon compared to this.

Allow me to present Exhibit A: Nikitama. Its presence has allowed for a reliable Rank 4 engine for Spirits, and draw power when Niki gets detached to trigger this card's effect.

The Spirit Monster bit can be safely integrated into the card's other subtypes (resulting in [beast/Xyz/Spirit/Effect]). Saves you a line of text.

I didn't know of that, but I do know that there are Spell Cards that prevent Spirit monsters from returning to the hand as well. Though Nikitama is a lot less clunky, and quicker.

Not having to rely on those Spell Cards or other cards like Double Summon certainly makes it more feasible. It's fine for now that Nikitama is the only true gateway to Gazelle, because beggars can't be choosers.

Changed to an actual Spirit monster, as suggested

Note: I don't think Spirit monsters have "Effect" in their subtypes, as I haven't seen any that do.

Tuners and such didn't either, though they do now. There are few newer Spirit monsters, if any, so that could be why.

If you look at Gishki Emilia, her return to the hand effect is evidently more up-to-date than yours, which is pre-PSCT. Though even that is a bit outdated and I would probably follow Yosenju's example instead. You should also follow the convention that Spirit monsters cannot be Special Summoned, and are otherwise Nomi monsters (see Yamato-no-Kami).

Gonna fix these points. There isn't actually a way to get the subtypes displayed in the right order, so I'll make do with what the cardmaker can manage.
