Read. Critique.

Inspiration: The Art of each card is taken from a Survivor race creature from the now Japan-exclusive TCG "Duel Masters". Many of whom shared their abilities with creatures of their own race. Allowing for a wall of terrifying creatures. The story being that these creatures had been trapped beneath the earth's crust and had to combine strengths despite being from differing civiliations, so that they could survive their harsh environment.

Rather than sharing effects across board ( which would be really strong in yugioh) the sharing of abilities is expressed in the form of Union monsters. The equipped monster gains ATK, DEF, and/or an effects.

[spoiler=Play Style]

The Symbions are very Main Deck oriented. An Extra Deck is optional for those seemingly insurmountable threats.

Revealing cards: many members can Special Summon themselves while they are revealed from the deck OR apply an effect that allows you to send it to the graveyard. Most of the cost to play effects are based on banned cards from the TCG and ha. My reasoning is that the conditions for activation are considerably harder. As you must reveal from the deck and drop a card. This cannot be combo'd from foolish burial or similar cards.

Swarm: Your Ability to swarm is reliant on your ability to reveal cards from the deck and/or to Summon Hive Walker. Tuners allow for good Synchro bait. And you can probably Xyz, but its a bit more difficult.

Offense: Battle Damage is your method of victory. Removal is scarce among the archetype. Rely on ATK gains.

Defense: Union equips naturally provide destruction prevention, and Magmazer allows for a boost in DEF.

Weaknesses: S/T removal. "Ack, mah equips!"

As of yet, only 2 "Symbion"s can remove Spell/Traps from the field, both of which normally require to be tribute Summoned. Although Pendulums can afford you an easy SS.

Being flipped face-down. "Ack, mah equips!... Again!"

DEF isn't really high, and "Symbions" are at a disadvantage while face-down.

Infernal Tempest. Impossible to trigger unless your monsters have their ATK  boosted via equip or some other shennanigan.

Your card texts are all extremely long. Is there any way to shorten them? Perhaps by using like a shortcut or legend or something, just so that they're easier to read? Reading the lore hurts my eyes.

Did you click the Lore spoiler? And unfortunately the reminder text for Union monsters is really long so there is hardly room for new effects.

(4) While this card is a Field Spell: Once per turn you can target a "Symbion" Union Monster on the field; the effects that are applied when it is equipped to another card (by its own effect) are also applied to the target until your next turn.

So it applies the union monster's effect to itself?

Vector has -
While equipped by this effect, the equipped monster is unaffected by all other card effects.
Which is EXTREMELY strong, especially given how easily it's applied.

Gladius

Send this card to the graveyard. Destroy 1 monster that has 1600 DEF or less, then draw 1 card for each 1000 ATK it had while face-up on the field.

this is a MASSIVE swing in card advantage, easily a +3.

Worm
OR 1 DARK Psychic-Type monster
Seems really out of place? Looks like there is something specific you want to abuse?

Hivewalker: yes. Its to add a little oompf when fighting pesky Fusions/Synchros/Xyz who usually have a number of advantages over main deck monsters. This does put the deck's max ATK to (normally) be 4300 (Wyveride equipped with Wyveride, while targeted by Hive Walker).

Vector is supposed to be strong. He's easily removed (MST). The Symbions do not include equip protection. They also cannot be boosted in any way. The worst thing to worry about is a 2600 LV 7. Which is scary i guess but the Symbions are easily dispatched by an opponent's Extra Deck.

True, Gladius can give you a +3 but consider this: 1) It has to be revealed from the deck. 2) most 3k monsters have more than 1600 DEF.

Worm works with an archetype I made of Psychics that cannot (with few exceptions) be Special Summoned except from the graveyard. Its random and purely for the off chance that your opponent has a dark psychic to abuse.

Oh right I forgot you could remove vector lol.

Gladius plus 3s off any 2k or higher....

Given your entire deck is based off revealing from the deck I'd say that doesn't really count as much of a limiter. For example, wulf of the lightsworn needs to be sent from deck, and it is a plus 1. And also totally useless in hand. I have no problems with Gladius being a potent plus 1. I do think +3 is certainly excessive.

That seems like a really pointless thing to have added. It looks inelegant to me. But it's not my design so you can do what you want I guess.

Gladius +3 off of every 3k. Its 1 card per 1000 atk. so you get +0 off of 900 atk, +1 off of 1900 atk, and so on provided they have 1600 def or less. More cards mill than reveal from the deck. And the deck quite literally does not revolve around the graveyard. You can use graveyard related effects to abuse the power but I'm sure you've faced some of the archetypes on DP. Even with the draw boost, (which will usually be a +1 or +2)

the deck is a slow starter (usually) and can be ran over easily.

Also, in the real game there are exactly 30 real targets that can give you a +3 and 96/6587 public DP monsters can give +3 or more when unboosted

Also, I can remove Worm's additional target. Its really no big deal.

A 3k monster would be a plus 4.
So it destroys a monster (+1), and then you draw 3 cards. (+3 more)
1+3 = 4.

"Send this card to the graveyard. Destroy 1 monster that has 1600 DEF or less, then draw 1 card for each 1000 ATK it had while face-up on the field."
