Raidraptor - Tribute Lanius

Winged-Beast/Effect

During your Main Phase, if this card was Normal or Special Summoned this turn: You can send 1 "Raidraptor" card from your Deck to the Graveyard. During your Main Phase 2, if this card destroyed an opponent's monster by battle this turn: You can add 1 "Rank-Up-Magic" Quick-Play Spell Card from your Deck to your hand, also you cannot Special Summon monsters for the rest of this turn, except "Raidraptor" monsters. You can only use each effect of "Raidraptor - Tribute Lanius" once per turn.

Even though it probs will anyway, I'd like to see this in Wing Raiders so that we can finally have a TCG release for this guy, discuss?

Might as well read "Search Nest," as that seems to be the most common usage in tandem with Mimicry. Can't search Raid Force or Soul Shave, but that latter one is probably for the best, really. Good card is good.

If only raptor's gust was "raid raptor gust" , things would be much easier.

Strix is confirmed. It was shown on the poster a couple of days ago.

For the TCG version as well? Because it's technically an OCG reprint, and we know how the TCG handles OCG reprints. "Let's remove it and reprint something else! Like Kuriboh instead of Arkana's Dark Magician, which we'll release in a completely different product several months later!"

I don't see a reason for Konami to remove it from the TCG product tbqh.

The Arkana DM was a Normal Monster, and the product it was placed in tbh made sense to place it in. Force Strix is a card that completely runs a Deck and there is no other better time to release it. Konami doesn't follow through and this pack becomes a borderline dud

As much as I want to, I never get a chance to use the search effect since Sharp does so much more utility-wise.

For something this core to the deck, I doubt it. More likely we'll see Strix and Tribute as imports only to be reprinted 2 months later, like what happened with Kendama.

Why not both?

Sharp only has to attack to summon, it says nothing about attacking monsters.

From testing, this is somewhat analagous to Skullcrobat Joker.

Both cost a valuable summon, both are really strong T1 depending on setup, and both have the same ATK and low DEF.

At present, the quickplay searching effect is mostly negligible, so it's mostly an Arma Knight.

What I failed to realize when I posted my deck yesterday was how well this synergizes with some opening hands. IF you have any 2 of fuzzy/singing/call/nest with this, you get the double strix opening and setup. Opening any 1 of those + tribute's not bad, either, though not AS good.
