Pokemon Gijinka: The Fallen God [IC/PG-16/Not Accepting]

Team Mac, Day 15, Southshore

"It's a pleasure to meet the two of you. I am Kah, from Skuldafn, and I've traveled across a lot of the region in search of Reshiram. I didn't expect to find the pair of you instead; I'm honored to meet not one legendary gijinka of my own type, but two instead. That said, I need to speak with both of you for a moment. Alone,"

"You can say in front of us all,"

"You're gonna fight 'em! Hey, can we join in? We're Chasers, after all. And I want to see how much I've improved..."

"There is a...Godslayer out there, For now, it's best we all be careful. And not head off alone anymore."

Latias's head darted back and forth between the speakers as they evidently reached the conclusion that they wouldn't leave. "You're talking to me now, keep it up, you can do it!" She responded to Kah with a lopsided smile. "Oh, but, what was that about Regirock you were thinking?" She turned towards Ari.

"There is a Godslayer out there." Latios said angrily. "In fact there's one right here, isn't there?" He looked towards Kah.

Moments later there was laughter from a bit farther away. "Looks like the jig is up, no surprise attacks on Psychic types, eh?"

The Salamence from before stepped into the scene. "Ankou said you'd be here and so you are. Wonder where that creep went off too, though. Oh well, I can deal with this myself." He grinned wildly and did a twirling, stepping motion. Each movement seemed to be filled with intent and focus and afterwards there was a brief glow, signifying an increase in power. "Time to rock, showtime!" He moved with a burst of motion, wings extending out and slamming into Latios.

Latios took the hit and, with a grunt, ordered Latias to retreat. Looking confused, she started to do so, backing away farther into the water, when suddenly she was grabbed by a Tentacruel Gijinka hiding in the water. A dozen more Tentacool popped up alongside it.

Team Neo Not Dark, Day 15, Coldharbour

"Pick a god and pray...as long as it's not yourself,"

Kyurem, struggling against the tentacles, was unable to stop the powerful attack from hitting. It struck Kyurem's chest and blew a hole entirely through it, forcing Deoxys to break away to avoid being hit herself. Kyurem glanced down at the hole, watching as bits of him began to crumble from that spot.

He started towards Easter again but was caught from behind by Deoxys's Superpower, his shoulders giving away and breaking apart as well.

With a roar, Kyurem let loose one last Dragon Pulse at Easter before crumbling entirely.

There was a disturbing silence that followed as the battle abruptly ended, and the ice that Kyurem had spread began to fade, leaving only the natural ice of the tundra behind.

Deoxys approached Easter. "The fight is over. Mission completed..." The Gijinka's face was still half gone, and the strange dark matter that could be seen underneath was throbbing gently. "I seem to be too damaged to continue with the secondary mission. I shall take the remains of the staff now."

Dora looked up at her and said. "You have to leave?"

Deoxys glanced over. "My mission is over. It was. An interesting experience traveling with you."

Team Showdown, Day 16, Deku

"I owe no explanation to a woman who doesn't even introduce herself, Though I suppose I'll forgive you just this once. This must be quite the ordeal for you." She paused before speaking. "Honestly? I was investigating all of this," she waved at their surroundings with a gloved hand. "So much happened here, I wanted to be sure everything was...safe." She turned away to hide her saddened expression. "I shouldn't have come though. This place is nothing but ruins now."

"Horrible, ain't it? A legend - Thundurus - leveled the whole city..."

Isole responded to Scarlet first with a simple shrug. "I didn't like it much here..." She glanced at the Crobat. "Thundurus is dead. Nothing to investigate. He's over there." She gestured in the direction that they had come from.

This girl was odd. Was she one of the Emperor's troops? It could explain her attitude. Either way, she agreed with Taiga. "Nothing really here...Might as well leave. I guess we're going to Juyu then?"

Team Karaoke, Day 16, Juyu

"well, I've been at this whole Chaser thing for awhile, so I've seen a place or two in my travels. Juyu's always been a favorite place of mine. Most people probably think it's boring but it's always got a certain charm, whenever I come back to visit it."

"So you're a traveler? You've seen a lot about the world then..." Gwen responded. Perhaps it would be good to learn more about the world. See it from his perspective. It can't all be....like this, after all.

"Well, for now, let's just say we have to find it in order to save someone important. As for where to go from here, well." He scratched his head with a pensive look on his face. "I'm kind of stumped on that myself. Azriel's story took place in Northshore, but it probably wasn't meant to be taken literally. Nevertheless, I'll just have to try my best to figure out which direction to pick from here."

Important? Oh, perhaps he was trying to help a girlfriend. Gwen let out an unintentional relieved sigh. She didn't have to worry about that after all. "Well, I suppose we don't have any leads then, unless it was literal, I guess I will just follow your lead though. You've seemed to have seen so much."

"by the way, what were you visiting him for?"

"Ah that, well..." Gwen frowned. "I just have been having some trouble remembering...things, is all. It's not really...Oh hi Clotilde."

"Do not mind me. I was lightly assaulted just a while ago, drove the thief away though, nothing to worry. More importantly, have you two discovered anything of note?"

"Oh goodness, are you sure you're alright? Perhaps we should find a doctor? You really must be careful. Or perhaps we should report this to the sheriff?"

"Or was I interrupting something, perhaps?"

Gwen blushed heavily. "Oh, no no no, it's not like that. Nine has someone important already...actually that's what we need to talk with you about, it seems we need to find Jirachi. Lives could be at stake."

-----

"We should probably get back with the group, huh? They're probably all together by now."

"I guess..." Fiona said. "Hey, before we do...what do you think of that maid? She seems...something...ah, never mind. Let's just get back. It's getting uh, crowded. Yeah." Fiona once more headed out first, this time not grabbing Lok though, until they ran into the group once more. Fiona let Lok take the lead in greeting them.

"You're gonna fight 'em! Hey, can we join in? We're Chasers, after all. And I want to see how much I've improved..." Ari called out, causing Kazo to shake his head.

"How about we don't? This must be why Melody didn't want us to help. She probably thought we'd just fight them," Kazo said. It made sense, really. Chasers chased Legends to prove their strength, and the easiest way to do that was fight. It never really occured to him, but maybe some legends just wanted to live in peace... Man, like he needed a reason to feel worse about himself.

"There is a...Godslayer out there, For now, it's best we all be careful. And not head off alone anymore." Suiten stated. Kazo sighed. He was right, safety in numbers and all, but this meant he couldn't get away from Kah and Mac at all for awhile. Ugh... guess he better steel his nerves.

"There is a Godslayer out there." Latios said angrily. "In fact there's one right here, isn't there?" He looked towards Kah. Kazo blinked and followed Latios's gaze, locking on Kah.

"Her? A Godslayer? I mean... sh-she can be a bit of an b-battle hungry jerk, but... I-I doubt she's a Godslayer...," He stated before trailing off. She did seem to think lowly of the lives of people besides like... kids. She also really wanted to fight a lot of legends... "W-well, I mean... nah, she's not one," If she was, she would have been able to beat Regirock. She would have killed him, and she didn't do either of those things.

As the words left his mouth, laughter filled the air, the kind of laughter that would send shivers down his spine. "Looks like the jig is up, no surprise attacks on Psychic types, eh?" Kazo turned to see a Salamence walk up to the group. The Gabite took a step back before gulping. This wouldn't end well, would it? "Ankou said you'd be here and so you are. Wonder where that creep went off too, though. Oh well, I can deal with this myself." Kazo stopped, thinking about what this guy just said. He was a confirmed Godslayer, and there was another person... Ankou... they must be one to. And some... creep? That seemed to be a different person all together. So... three Godslayers? Oh crap, oh crap.

"Guys... where's Mac?" He asked. Knowing their luck...

The Salamence grinned wildly and did a twirling, stepping motion. Each movement seemed to be filled with intent and focus and afterwards there was a brief glow, signifying an increase in power. "Time to rock, showtime!" He moved with a burst of motion, wings extending out and slamming into Latios. Kazo's eyes widened as he watched Latios take the hit. Latias attempted to run away... only for a group of Tentacruel to grab Latias. Something snapped inside of Kazo at that moment. His timidness and his fear was replaced by something else.

Rage.

Killers vs. Defenders

Kazo took off, using his enhanced speed to close the distance Salamence, head hardening as he drew near. But before he could get close, he suddenly felt something smash into his side, causing him to hit the dock hard and cry out in pain. Standing up, he held on to his side, gritting his teeth before seeing what hit him.

Another Salamence. One that looked exactly like the one that attacked Latios... but he was much more serious looking... Kazo took a breath to calm himself down. He couldn't back down. He had to help. He grabbed at his jacket, slipping it off and dropping it on the ground. It would be wind resistance and a dead giveaway when he went into 'Stealth Mode'.

"Guys. The Salamence mentioned two other people.... We might have three... maybe four Godslayers in this town. And Mac the trouble magnet isn't here... one of you is going to have to take Ari and find her... make sure she's not dying," It was odd. He felt... calm. As if the fact he had something super important to fight for was calming his nerves, letting him focus. "I can handle these bozos," He stated before he fired off a Dragon Breath at the Salamence in front of him.

Time to put it all in the line.

Denku coughed as he left the cold around him retreating, leaving him with... slightly less cold. He fought his way to his feet, wobbling a bit as he did. He felt so weak... although he supposed it was understandable. Fighting a Godslayer and a Legend right after saving people all night long... there was really no way he would have won, not realistically.

He could see that the other Legend was missing half its face, and that the... pink thing and Dora was talking to it. Well, he didn't know much about it. He looked around, checking to see if everyone else was okay.

Seems that was not the case. The tiny girl that held the staff looked knocked out. He forced his body to walk over, taking a knee as he reached out, checking her pulse. He sighed in relief as he felt the pulse, although barely. Maybe because she was so tiny...

He sat down next to her, recovering and waiting. He should see where this went before he disappeared.

"H-hey! Why does it gotta be alone? Wh-whatever it is you have to 's-say', you can say in front of us all."

You don't understand. He's in--

"Ooh, ooh, I know! You're gonna fight 'em!"

"No!" Kah exclaimed on the spot. "I-I mean...no. I'm not going to fight them, and even if I did, I couldn't let you--"

"Looks like the jig is up, no surprise attacks on Psychic types, eh?"

Crap. Kah had wanted to warn the legendary duo about this guy before he showed up. But there he was. The fight began, and the Salamence charged Latios. Meanwhile, in the water, Latias was put into a situation over by the water with a Tentacruel. That wasn't her major concern, however. It was Kazo. The idiot charged right in (not that Kah wouldn't have done the same; it was a matter of power level to her) and got himself knocked back by a second Salamence. Twins. Great. Two Salamence Godslayers, one Tentacruel, and the haunting suspicion that her Gardevoir "friend" wasn't too far. Hopefully, it was just mild paranoia on Kah's part.

"Guys. The Salamence mentioned two other people.... We might have three... maybe four Godslayers in this town. And Mac the trouble magnet isn't here... one of you is going to have to take Ari and find her... make sure she's not dying. I can handle these bozos."

"Not without me you can't," Kah interjected. "If I run off and let you and Suiten get killed, I'll have a lot more than that to regret. Suiten, take Ari and get out of here, and don't make me tell you twice. Kazo and I have this covered." It was time to fight. Against two Godslayers of her own type, with a dragon ally, defending two dragon-type legendaries she'd have to kill later...how intoxicating! This was the kind of fight she'd been longing for! Kazo...was a factor that concerned her, but she couldn't afford to let that distract her. More than the fight with Regirock, Kah had a bad feeling that messing this up would get her killed.

BGM: Dragon's Nest

"For blood and honor!" Kah cried out, making a mad dash for the Salamence Kazo was targeting, preparing to let loose with her usual punches and kicks fueled by draconic energy. The legendary twins she could deal with later, but if she let the Godslayer twins fight Kazo, he would be in even more trouble than Kah. Priorities.

All around Fawkes, visions of fish danced about. Literally. Fish from the hips up and gijinka from the thighs down, a group of about twenty odd creatures danced around a fire. Was it some kind of ritual? Fawkes could not tell. She had only been in contact with the natives of this desert isle for a few days, using her illusion abilities to disguise herself as one of them as she adapted to their customs. One of the creatures sitting beside her explained the dance in a language she did not understand. The whole scene was extremely confusing to Fawkes.

Her confusion was not to last much longer however, as soon she woke up. Fawkes glanced around at her surroundings through hazy, sleep-filled eyes. No sign of Kyurem. Fawkes could see figures she assumed were Easter and Dora, speaking with Deoxys. They won then? That was a relief. Looking to her side, she saw...the other guy. She wasn't sure what his name was. She hadn't even really seen a gijinka quite like him before. He seemed weakened from the fight, though that made perfect sense. Fawkes didn't blame him for being tired after that kind of disaster.

"Nobody died, right?" Fawkes groggily asked to the person next to her. "Nobody innocent, I mean." Fawkes wasn't ready for a repeat of Deku this soon. Ideally, she wouldn't ever have to be ready for another incident on that scale.

"Yes, yes, it is of no big importance." Clotilde reassured the two before half-stumbling to the ground and catching her balance again. She wanted to ask about the legendary Gwen just namedropped but reassuring the two came first. Another slap to herself and she was standing fairly straight now. "I must say for myself, I am not very fond of this city. Nothing fortunate's happened to me yet and I fear it never will. I say we move on quickly, anywhere."

In her moment of inwardly cursing the Duskull thief earlier, her professional maid facade was beginning to break. She did not even catch a sign of Gwen blushing at her question which implied more than what her words conveyed. It was only when the other two members of their ragtag group ran into them that her mind was once again pulled back to reality. That confusion spell thing the thief cast on her was really taking its time to recover. "Lok, Fiona. Greetings."

"With all that done with...Jirachi?" Clotilde beckoned to Nine to explain.

Latias's head darted back and forth between the speakers, "You're talking to me now, keep it up, you can do it!" She responded to Kah with a lopsided smile. "Oh, but, what was that about Regirock you were thinking?" She turned towards Ari.

"E-eh?" the lion backed up with wide eyes. "Y-you can read my mind?" he stared at her. Oh, wait. Was she one of those psychic types? He was about to expand on his thought for her, when Latios spoke.

"There is a Godslayer out there," he said angrily. "In fact there's one right here, isn't there?" He looked towards Kah.

Kazo blinked. "Her? A Godslayer? I mean... sh-she can be a bit of an b-battle hungry jerk, but... I-I doubt she's a Godslayer... W-well, I mean... nah, she's not one."

"Yeah, Kah's not one of those meanies," Ari chimed in. "She's a Chaser, one of us."

"No!" the dragon exclaimed on the spot. "I-I mean...no. I'm not going to fight them, and even if I did, I couldn't let you--"

"Looks like the jig is up, no surprise attacks on Psychic types, eh?" laughter came from the distance.

"Huh? Who're you?" the Litleo asked, confused.

The big guy seemed to be in his own world though.

"Latios!" Suiten cried, taking a step forward to help, when realization stopped him. This man...was a Godslayer, wasn't he?

And then Kazo spoke, the words stopping him in his tracks once more. "Guys... where's Mac?"

Oh no. Ohhh no. This? This was not a good situation. At all. Made even worse when Kazo's attempted attack on the Salamence failed, stopped by...another Salamence, this one more serious-looking. Two of them?

The Gabite grabbed at his jacket, slipping it off and dropping it on the ground. "Guys. The Salamence mentioned two other people.... We might have three... maybe four Godslayers in this town. And Mac the trouble magnet isn't here... one of you is going to have to take Ari and find her... make sure she's not dying. I can handle these bozos," He stated before he fired off a Dragon Breath at the Salamence in front of him.

"Not without me you can't," Kah interjected. "If I run off and let you and Suiten get killed, I'll have a lot more than that to regret. Suiten, take Ari and get out of here, and don't make me tell you twice. Kazo and I have this covered. For blood and honor!" the Hydreigon cried out, making a mad dash for the Salamence Kazo was targeting.

What to do...Latias was beset by Tentacruel and Tentacool, Latios was being attacked by a Godslayer, Kazo and Kah were fighting another, and Mac wasn't here either. Much as he wanted to help, it would probably be better to find Mac, and make sure she was all right. And take Ari, of course. He'd be of no help here.

Ari, meanwhile, had his own dilemma. He wanted to be strong, but he hadn't expected to be facing a Godslayer quite so soon. This could even be the same one that had killed Regirock. And he was supposed to just...run away? With his tail between his legs? No. No, that wasn't happening. "I'm not going," he said when the Samurott approached, shaking his head stubbornly. "You can't make me."

"Ari," Suiten said, jaw clenched. "Let's go. We need to make sure Mac is--"

"No!" the lion shouted, before recovering himself. "Mac...can handle herself. She's brave and strong. And she's not a legendary. They're not going to go after her. If there is another Godslayer, they'll be coming here. To where the gods are. And I'm not going to leave them when they need help. Regirock...he died. He died, and I wasn't there to stop it. But now, you want me to leave, when there's a chance I could...I could make a difference? This time?" he glared up at Suiten. "If you think I'm going to do that, then you're dead wrong!"

"I..." Suiten paused. No, what Ari said made sense. A lot of sense. He was right. They wouldn't try and attack Mac, much as she attracted trouble like a magnet. No, they would come here. Also...something about the lion's words resonated with him. They were just and honorable, like a true warrior needed to be. The Samurott snorted. He had let his fear overwhelm him. What a disgrace. He would need to make up for that shame. "You're right," he couldn't help but add, "Just...be careful."

"I will," Ari nodded seriously, before clenching his body, feeling his emotions getting worked up. He would do this as many times as he needed to get the strength to fight.

Suiten, meanwhile, took a deep breath, before running at the Salamence his two friends were attacking. Latios could hopefully handle the other one on his own. "My apologies, but I could not leave you two to fight alone either," he apologized. Soon after he released a blast of scalding hot water at the dragon.

--

Easter put up his Cosmic Shield right before the Dragon Pulse washed over him. "What a disappointment," he sneered in the silence that followed. "Nothing but brute strength, no finesse." Still, he couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief. "Had you realized exactly what type you were up against, though, this might have ended differently." He watched the ice that the dragon had spread begin to fade before turning toward Deoxys. He ached all over, but it was a familiar ache. A nice one. The ache of exertion, injuries gotten fighting against a strong opponent. He couldn't help but grin in the high that engulfed him.

Actually, there was something about this high. It felt...familiar, as if he was experiencing a level up in strength. Oh. I wonder if that move I've been practicing is doable now. Sometimes, after this feeling, he could perform acts he couldn't before. Such as with Moonblast, a move he had learned just prior to arriving in Juyu. He had let go of Draining Kiss for that much more powerful, and much less embarrassing ability.

Deoxys approached Easter soon after.

"Same to you," Easter nodded. "You still owe me a fight, but I don't think either of us are in any shape for it, so maybe some other time." He held out a hand for the legendary to shake, realizing soon afterward that it might be awkward with her tentacles, but too stubborn to take it back. "Thank you for that..." he nodded toward Kyurem's remains. "With Kyurem. We could...not have done it without you." It was strange. He hadn't ever expected a legendary to help him fight another legendary, but he supposed they weren't all cut of the same cloth. "Good luck with everything."

Whether the psychic type took his hand or not, he would turn toward the other gijinka nearby, checking the unconscious Brooke first, afterward making his way toward Fawkes and the Pupitar. I don't think I ever got his name... Both of them had woken up, causing him to exhale in relief. As he approached, he heard Fawkes speak. "Nobody died, right? Nobody innocent, I mean," she amended.

"Nobody innocent," Easter replied, choosing not to mention the bloody pulp he had buried in the snow, nor the way Kyurem had crumbled into nothingness. He ruffled the kit's hair, before turning to, well, he supposed he could label him a hero now. It was obvious that the gijinka had tried his best, and had probably done quite well, considering the circumstances. "Thank you for helping out. Both with Froslass and Kyurem. I don't think we could've done it without you," he smiled. "Now that the fighting's over, I suppose it's time for introductions. My name's Easter, this is Fawkes," he grinned down at the Zorua, "the silly one over there is Dora, that one," he sobered as he glanced at the Emboar, "is Brooke. And Deoxys is the legendary that saved us all today. What's your name?" he stuck out a hand for the second time that day.

--

Veronica smiled a bit at Scarlet's response. "Caught me red handed chief. Both of my parents were Scizor, so they had a certain expectation for me even when I was a little Scyther..."

When they met up with the others, the Sharpedo responded to her words with a laugh. "You got that right chief!  You'd need a degree in wreckage-ology to figure that out huh?  Fufufufu." The shark looked towards the devastation in front of her. "Legends are scary powerful though..." She stared at the sky. "All of these Legends, and Kyogre refuses to show its ugly face!  Fufufufu."

Veronica sniffed. They both called her chief, but the one was a lot more...objectionable. "I take it you three are Chasers, then?" the Crobat inspected her clothes. Good, they weren't unduly muddy. They could still be salvaged.

Scarlet started to comfort the Rotom, who was apparently named Isole. However, it was apparent soon afterward that Isole was not the only one unsettled about this. Veronica was surprised at the Scizor's impassioned outburst. Not that she didn't agree, oh she did, but she hadn't expected such forward thinking from a common plebeian. Most revered the legends, thought them the pinnacle of perfection, and chased after them, seeking to rise to the top. But few seemed to realize that nobody was perfect, not even legendaries.

"It is fine," she told the Scizor. "You have good reason to be upset about this. There is nothing about this situation that is at all fair or tolerable, except perhaps that it has ended."

Isole glanced at Veronica after responding to Scarlet. "Thundurus is dead. Nothing to investigate. He's over there." She gestured in the direction that the two had come from, dismissing her soon after. "Nothing really here...Might as well leave. I guess we're going to Juyu then?"

This time, her dismissal was less grating on the nerves. "Thank you," she said, shortly and sincerely, before regaining her former conceit. "Not that I couldn't have found it myself, but your assistance did make the search shorter." The sooner she got out of this ruined city, the better. "I bid you good luck in your chase. You'll need it," she addressed them all, though her eyes lingered on Scarlet. "I might see you again in Juyu," she said, sweeping past them to walk over to where the Rotom had gestured.

Eventually, she came upon the legendary. "So it is true then," she whispered, trailing a glove over his slackened face. "The great Thundurus, dead, though you did not go quietly, did you?" Her eyes were distant as she spoke, "How easy it is for us to die. I suppose that's one thing that has no regard for status. All of us are equal before death," she stared at the body for a bit longer before straightening. "Now let's hope I can get where I need to go...before she finds me."

Soon after, she was gone.

"Hey, before we do...what do you think of that maid? She seems...something...ah, never mind. Let's just get back. It's getting uh, crowded. Yeah." Lok gave her a look of confusion as she started making her way back to the group. "And you call me the weird on..." He remarked before realizing that she hadn't grabbed him this time. He quickly floated after her.

. . .

They eventually returned to the spot that they had agree'd to meet up on, and just as he thought everyone was there. "Yo!" He waved enthusiastically at the group. "Lok, Fiona. Greetings. With all that done with...Jirachi?" Lok's eyes widened at the mention of Jirachi - he hadn't heard much about it, but he has heard the name before. He turned his gaze to Nine, waiting to see how he would respond to Clotilde. It would probably be for the best to wait and see what the others had to say before saying anything.

"Geez Red...I told you to make Ice feel better...not to get yourself down."

"I didn't like it much here...Thundurus is dead. Nothing to investigate. He's over there."

"It is fine, you have good reason to be upset about this. There is nothing about this situation that is at all fair or tolerable, except perhaps that it has ended."

Scarlet let out another sigh, wiping the tears from her eyes. Somehow she couldn't help but smile at their response, although she would have to talk to Isole about it later. Her train of thought was interrupted by her companions agreeing to move out for Juyu. "Y-Yeah, that sounds like a good plan." She turned to the Crobat "I bid you good luck in your chase. You'll need it. I might see you again in Juyu,"
"Hopefully we'll be a bit cleaner when we do!" She spoke as the Crobat made her leave. She turned back to her companions. "So, Juyu." She had fond memories of Juyu, having visited it a couple of times in the past. "We should hurry. I don't think I can stand seeing these ruins for much longer." She shuddered as she finished the sentence. "Plus, I'd like to get to an inn of some sorts asap." Despite her best attempts to keep composure after what had happened, her eyes betrayed any notion of this. Still, she had to try and stay strong - especially after that little breakdown.

Team Showdown: Deku

Taiga looked around the destruction in the city one last time.  There was nothing for them to do here...what were they coming here for anyways...she wasn't any closer to her goal of finding treasure...she wasn't closer to her goal of finding that Scyther and making him pay...she wasn't closer to any of it.  What was the point of wandering place to place, aimlessly, with no goal...were these two holding her back?

A cold voice snapped her out of the thought.

"Nothing really here...Might as well leave. I guess we're going to Juyu then?"

"We should hurry. I don't think I can stand seeing these ruins for much longer."

"Yup."  Taiga added, wearily.  Looked like to be more walking for the group.

As the duo had met with the Aggron maid, she seemed to wonder if she was interrupting anything. When the Mismagius had answered, he looked at her for a brief moment, with a slightly curious expression on his face, wondering if he had somehow missed a step in the conversation, but quickly shook it off. As the maid spoke about her experience in the city, he couldn't help but chuckle a bit at the clearly frazzled state the thief had left her in, and jeeringly said, "sorry to hear that madame."

Soon enough, Lok and Fiona had returned, which prompted Nine to greet them as well, only to then turn back to Clotilde as she had been speaking to him. While it was true they were hunting Jirachi, Nine was incredibly wary of actually saying much in regards to the legend with Fiona around. While she didn't seem to be of much harm at the moment, that hadn't changed the fact she had fought against the group before, and aiding a god slayer no less. As such, he was unsure of what kind of adverse affect leading her towards Jirachi would have, though, he couldn't quite exclude or out her at the moment. And with the curious expression of the maid and the, quite frankly, beaming expression of Lok, he couldn't simply brush it aside at the moment. So, he simply said, "yep, Jirachi is the next one I want to go after. Well, technically it'd be the only time I've ever been after one specifically, but that's beside the point. As for why, well, I need it to help save a friend right now, and I'll leave it at that for now."

Trying to brush this conversation aside at the moment, as he was equally reluctant to do so out in the public, he said, "for now, let's go find a place to rest up for the night. We all seem to have had a long day and if we're done with the city for now, it'd probably be best to get to rest as soon as possible." With that said, had the group agreed, he would then go on a hunt to find a place for the group to stay for the night. Though he had done his best during this period of time to keep his face in the same expression as always, it was clear his thoughts were preoccupied by something else, but he was quite dismissive in revealing what those were at the moment.

Thunder shook the city, rumbling in the sky like a wardrum, warning of the approach of a brutal storm. Brooke powered through the fear it caused her, balling her hands into fists. “Please,” she begged, choking on the lump of emotions lodged in her throat, “show me how to be stronger!”

The White Fury stopped, already halfway down the alley, and looked back over her shoulder. Shadows hid her face, but not the glow of her eyes. “Why?” she asked deliberately.

Brooke hesitated. “Because I’m tired of being weak,” she muttered. “I want to help people, like you do. I don’t want to be helpless anymore!” Unshed tears stung at the back of her eyes, begging her to cry, but she refused. Crying didn’t solve anything; crying was what kids did. She wasn’t a kid anymore. Maybe she’d never been one, really.

“Fine.” The White Fury turned away and continued walking. After a moment, with Brooke still standing still as a Regirock behind her, she looked back. “You coming or not?”

Brooke woke up in an oven, burning. At least that’s what it felt like. Her body was on fire, and even blinking hurt. The acrid stench of burned flesh lingered in the air, and memories of the battle came rush back to her. “What. . . Dora! Fawkes!” she pushed herself up off the ground, out of the snow. Her muscles screamed in protest, and the pain was so overwhelming her vision flashed and she almost lost consciousness again. She did her best to steady herself. “Are you alright? What happened?”

She was… not where she had collapsed at. The Froslass was nowhere to be found, and the city was eerily silent. It was the kind of quiet that made her nervous, one that came after a brutal storm, when people were assessing the damage and counting their dead. Deoxys was nearby, looking half there (in the literal sense), and Easter was conversing with a Gijinka she didn’t recognize. Kyurem was nowhere to be found, either, and that made Brooke a helluva lot more wary.

None of it was adding up. She was missing the last piece to the puzzle, it felt like, but she decided she didn’t care. Right now, she just wanted to know that Dora and Fawkes were safe. Once she was sure they are, she would go from there.

Team Mac, Day 15, Southshore

The Salamence didn't bother dodging as he took the Dragonbreath attack. Instead he started forward, intending to strike the other Dragon through the attack. They were surprised to be struck instead by two ranged attacks. One the Dragonbreath and the other a blast of scalding hot water. It hurt far more than he had expected, causing him to pause and glance over at the Samurott who had hit him.

This gave Kah enough time to reach the Salamence without any trouble.

However if she thought his distraction would be enough to throw him off she was sorely mistaken. "Tsk." The Salamence said, blocking the first, wild, swing that Kah sent at him. "Rash, unpolished." He said, going into the air to avoid the other attacks in the combo. "Power alone can't win this fight." The Salamence opened his mouth wide and launched out a large gush of water, a Hydro Pump, into Kah's face before flying over her head and ramming into Kazo with a Wing Attack.

The other Salamence laughed as he dodged a beam of light Latios had sent from the sky. "Look at that." He said with amusement. "We got ourselves some wannabe heroes. I remember when I was a hero, it funking sucked." He swooped down at Latios, forming a Dragon Claw and attacking ferociously. His attack was blocked, however, by a Protect. "Heh, not fast enough yet, eh?" Salamence said, taking to the air to avoid a point blank Dragon Pulse that Latios tried next.

Coming from the peak of his aerial maneuver, the Salamence tried yet another Dragon Claw. However as Latios threw up another Protect the Salamence stopped in his tracks, interrupting his own attack. Using the brief time between the Protect fading and Latios attacking the Salamence used Dragon Dance again, growing in power.

The group fighting his twin would notice that, at that moment, it seemed that their opponent as well gained the boost from the Dragon Dance.

Meanwhile Latios was fending off the Tentacool, sending out Mist Balls to keep them at bay. However she still was steadily being worn down by the Tentacruel's wrap and the occasional Acid Spray that struck her.

Team Neo Not Dark, Day 15, Coldharbour

Deoxys looked at Easter as they spoke, thanking them. "Do not understand. I was merely completing my mission." They paused. "I do not know why you wish to fight but perhaps one day we will meet again.". Deoxys looked over to Brooke, now waking up. They seemed confused, and rightly so, much had happened after they got themselves knocked out. Without warning Deoxys sent directly into Brooke's mind a recollection of what occurred.

Without further ado, Deoxys began hovering in the air, struggling it seemed to morph back into its speed form. But once it did it took off, shakily, away from the city.

"the silly one over there is Dora"

"Gasp!" Dora said, for some reason using the word itself. "That's me!" She made her way over towards Denku and Easter, before stopping, looking at Deoxys leaving, stopping, looking at Brooke who was stirring, and decided to head over that way instead. Quite enthusiastically as she almost headbutted the Emboar in the stomach. "Hi! You were asleep too long, don't do that again, we have a hero friend, look, he's over there, his name is funny." All of these words were spoke loudly, enough for everyone to hear, though Dora didn't seem to care. "And Fawkes was asleep too but they're awake again too. Hi Fawkes! Everyone is okay! Except the city. Do all cities look like this?" Dora asked.

If the group stayed longer, they would find some of the citizens of Coldharbour returning, halfheartedly trying to pick up the pieces of their city. Some of them thanked the group but the majority seemed too shocked.

Team Karaoke, Day 16, Juyu

"I must say for myself, I am not very fond of this city. Nothing fortunate's happened to me yet and I fear it never will. I say we move on quickly, anywhere."

Gwen was sad to hear that. Her experience with the city were mixed but she knew there was some good to this place. But it was all ruined, because of power hungry Gijinka and conflict, like everything else...It was unfortunate to say the least.

She smiled as Lok came, and looked at Fiona with a bit more of a smirk. The girl seemed to be doing well with them lately, and she appeared to have bonded with Lok. This was good, at least something good had come of visiting so far.

They then all turned to Nine, looking to him to explain things. They did that a lot, didn't they? Gwen wondered at that, why was this man taking the position of their leader? True he was the strongest here, from what Gwen had seen, but is that really it?

"yep, Jirachi is the next one I want to go after. Well, technically it'd be the only time I've ever been after one specifically, but that's beside the point. As for why, well, I need it to help save a friend right now, and I'll leave it at that for now.

For now, let's go find a place to rest up for the night. We all seem to have had a long day and if we're done with the city for now, it'd probably be best to get to rest as soon as possible."

It seemed they didn't truly know what they were going to do from here. Everything was so very...messy. They managed to, with a lot of looking, find some places that had room for them to rest. Unfortunately they were all shoved into a single room, and had to practically sleep on top of each other. Gwen found herself in the middle with Lok and Fiona on either side of her. It was uncomfortable but it was the best they could find. Many people were looking for a roof over their heads so she considered it lucky to be able to have that much.

----

The next day she woke up first, and carefully got out to make a simple breakfast for the group for when they woke up.

As they ate breakfast, Gwen spoke up. "I've been thinking...we don't have any ideas where to go to find Jirachi, except for a story that Nine was told...He thought it was meant just to be a story but it's the only hint we have. I know we just left Adarid City but...I suggest we go to Northshore." She laughed, somewhat forcefully. "It would be good to visit a nice place after...all this. I've heard it's the Beedrill's knees."

Team Showdown, Day 16, Deku

"I suppose that's that, then." Isole said in a dreary monotone. They had decided, it was time to go to Juyu. Perhaps they would find something better there. Thus far all the places they've visited had been, frankly, awful. But Juyu was supposed to be a lively place, right?

--------

After four days of travel they finally reached Juyu.

Only to find it was not much better off than Deku had been. From talking with the people they gathered that an extremely powerful Gijinka, the Godslayer evidently, had destroyed the town in order to fight what everyone assumed to have been a Legend. Whatever the case, it seemed that Juyu was in a state of disrepair. Though it looked as though reconstruction was going fairly well there were till many people without homes and the refugees from other cities had also swelled the population. They seemed to be struggling to get by.

Add onto that the news from Adarid City of a sort of civil war and Isole was about ready to give up. "We might as well go to the mountains at this rate." She said with a hint of annoyance.

Adarid City, Day 18

It had happened suddenly. Tensions had been high, this the Emperor knew, but he had never expected them to send an assassin. The Absol had been skilled, killing two of his elite guards before they even realized there was an attack underway. Thankfully for the Emperor the rest managed to fend off the woman but it had been enough to cause the man to snap. If they were going to send someone to kill him then they clearly could not be trusted.

He enacted martial law, putting an even tighter hold on the people of Adarid City, arresting those with even the slightest amount of suspicion. He even put the gangs on them, working with both groups to keep tabs on the people.

It wasn't long before the people had enough. It started with one of the Emperor's soldiers going missing. Then it escalated into the burning down of one of the guard stations. Before the night came the city was in full riot mode.

And in the midst of it all a Zebstrika with a grim task waded through the chaos; heading for the arena.

Rayquaza's Sky Palace

"You have done well to defeat Kyurem." the green Dragon said to Deoxys.

"I made mistakes. Let myself be injured to this point...I will not be able to deal with the Godslayer threat." Deoxys had expended much energy to just reach the palace and their injuries had only grown from there.

"I cannot ask you for more than this...Magearna, attend to his wounds."

The young Legend nodded, moving from Rayquaza's side to begin the delicate process of healing the space Legend.

"Lord Rayquaza." She said, hesitantly. "What do we do now?"

The Dragon King thought for a long while. "I am...unsure. Most of the others are either in hiding, unaware, or too sure of their abilities to mount a joint strike on these Godslayers...And no mere Gijinka could handle those who could defeat one of us."

Magearna held her tongue. She had mentioned before that they could ask the people of Adarid for help but if Rayquaza had any flaws it was his belief that there were very few Gijinka who could hope to even begin to measure up to the strength of a Legend. She had argued that the Godslayers were proof that the non-Legends could be strong but he refused to see it as anything other than an anomaly. No, Rayquaza could not see any way this could be handled by anyone but the Legends.
She couldn't entirely blame him. His power was so vast that even the Legends looked to him as a leader in the absence of Arceus. However, being stuck in this palace, there was nothing he directly could do.

"Maybe....the Disciples?" Magearna hesitantly asked.

Rayquaza frowned. "True, they are strong, some stronger than some of us...But they are few in number and who would we ask? Arceus's is remaining frustratingly neutral, Xerneas's and Regice's are dead, Giratina's is..."

"W-what about, Captain, weren't you at one point going to..."

"That was a long time ago." Rayquaza snapped, causing the girl to flinch away. "I...My thoughts on that matter has changed, he can not help."

"And...Kushiel?"

"The Disciple of Regigigas?" Rayquaza said. "No, he is too focused on hunting Regirock's killer, who has proven adapt at leading him on a wild goose chase...despite the true threat being this Lucario I've been sensing. If only he could be convinced that one is the real..."
Rayquaza paused, a thought coming to him. There was a brief light of hope in his eyes that was instantly followed by despair. "There is only one way to get Kushiel to fight. Deoxys, I have a task for you, one last mission before you can return home to fully recover. Go to Registeel, tell him...no. Ask him. I want to be sure that this is his decision, that he does this on his own volition...Ask him to come out of hiding. Ask him to draw out this Lucario. He may fall, or he may win, but whatever the result, it will bring Kushiel down upon this Lucario. And Kushiel is a foe even I would hesitate to fight."

Kazo gritted his teeth as he saw that his Dragonbreath did nothing. He knew he was weaker than pretty much everyone else here, but he didn't even make him flinch! That was extremely disheartening. However, his attack did allow Kah to get in closer. That was a good thing. Except it did nothing.

Kazo crashed into the ground, groaning. Yeah, he didn't have the raw power to deal with this. Opening his eyes, he could see both brothers, and saw the cocky one going all out on a defensive Latios. This wasn't good at all... especially when the Salamence did what he assumed was Dragon Dance... however, both the brothers seemed to benefit from it! How was that even possible!?!

It was at this moment Kazo realized he was truly funked. There was no way he could match them in power.

... Maybe he didn't have to.

Kazo of the Turbulent Wind

"Alright, if power won't win me this fight...," He said before taking a deep breath. The winds around him began to pick up, spiraling around him as they blew outwards, picking up sand and covering the area in a storm. Within seconds, a heavy sandstorm was formed, covering a large area, reducing the visibility. With that, he should be able to move around a lot more freely. Part one of his master plan complete.

He quickly started to dig, going under the ground and moving past the serious Salamence. If Latios was staying defensive, the cocky one could keep dancing, powering the both up, which would be disastrous for the group. After getting some distance, he came up from the ground. Something he always considered a blessing was able to see clearly in these winds, something the Salamences wouldn't be able to do. Even if they flew out of range of the storm, they wouldn't be able to see inside of the storm either, so he was covered.

Right now, he was using the sight he had to take aim at the cocky Salamence. Taking a deep breath, he fired off a Dragonbreath. As soon as he fired it, however, he ran across the ground to a new location, skidding to a stop and firing another one. He again ran off to another location within the storm.

If strength wouldn't win this, then maybe hit-and-run tactics would.

"Thank you for helping out. Both with Froslass and Kyurem," Denku looked up to the strange gijinka coming over to him. "I don't think we could've done it without you," he smiled. What's your name?" he stuck out a hand. Denku looked at the hand for a few seconds before reaching out and grabbing it for a shake.

"It's Denku. Pleasure to meet you all," He said. It was odd. He half expected an angry outburst about him fighting with them, or someone with delusions of motherhood.

Being around those two was not good for his social skills, it seemed.

"Gasp!" Dora spoke up, saying the word for some reason instead of actually gasping.

"No...," Denku said. "The two legends... well... they made a huge mess of the place. We're really lucky it was really just buildings though...," He then shook his head. Why was she calling him a hero? "And Dora, I dunno where you got the idea, but I'm no hero," He sighed and stood up, cracking sounds heard as he did. At the very least, he felt more limber after that fight. He looked around at the destruction, holding in a sigh. "I suppose we'll part ways soon though. I have to keep moving,"

While they had found a place to sleep, it was not the most comfortable of arrangements. Nine was used to sleeping in less than pleasant areas but, that was more due to the environment itself then the amount of people in the room. As such, being so tightly packed with everyone gave Nine an almost unfamiliar feeling of discomfort. Regardless, he had managed to catch his rest, and slept through the night.

When morning had come around, the Houndoom stretched himself out, resolving to try and figure things out on the road. They couldn't stay in Juyu for long and Nine would only feel more restless the more he was around the ruins. As such, when Gwendolyn had made the suggestion to start making their way over to Northshore, he couldn't help but agree. As such, as the group was about to move out, Nine said, "oh right. I have to go see someone before we leave so, feel free to go do whatever last minute things you want to do." As he said that, Nine briefly split off from the rest of the group, making his way through the streets of Juyu.

Wanting to go meet up with Kayla first, he had no actual idea how to go about this. The girl was a dutiful one and, given her increase in work load here, was likely busy at the moment. Then there was the issue that she only ever seemed to appear out of nowhere, and so he had no idea how to even find her if the town was normal. As such, after simply checking a few alleys here and there to no avail, Nine had decided to go to the sheriff's office directly. When he had gone there, he heard a familiar voice.

"How is there more!? Who puts paperwork overnight? What even is there to record?"

Walking in, Nine saw the Charizard hard at work, if not exasperated by it, before Nine caught his attention. The Charizard was far from overjoyed to see the Houndoom, though, nevertheless listened to what he had to say. Starting his request Nine simply said, "when you see Kayla next tell her that I found a lead on where to go and it's bringing me to Northshore. So, I'm leaving now and it'll be awhile before I come back." After the Charizard took note of Nine's request, the houndoom then left, waving and saying, "good luck with the work."

With that done, Nine reconvened with the group, all set and ready to go. With that, he and the rest of the group had traveled across the country once again, the landscape quite familiar as they had passed through there not more than a day ago. As they had trekked back across the land, the journey uneventful, they eventually stopped at the gates of Adarid City. Stretching a bit, Nine said, "well, guess we'll just cut right through here. Hopefully the city won't be exploding again right?" While Nine had joked, he was filled with some sense of dread that trouble was likely to find them the moment they got in city walls. Regardless, he continued to move forward towards it.

"My apologies, but I could not leave you two to fight alone either,"

Son of a...don't trust a water-type to do a dragon's job, I suppose. As if to make matters worse, the Salamence Kah was going after seemed to see her attack coming from a mile away.

"Rash, unpolished. Power alone can't win this fight."

The Salamence Kah had tried to strike opened his mouth wide, and launched forth a blast of water - a Hydro Pump - at Kah's face. Perhaps she was in awe of her foe's power. Maybe she was distracted trying to think of how to get rid of the boys. Or maybe Kah was too eager to make up excuses and just couldn't react fast enough. Whatever the cause, Kah took the Hydro Pump to the face. It hit harder than she figured a Hydro Pump would, probably owing to the power of these Godslayer twins. To make matters worse, it seemed that if one brother did a Dragon Dance, the other would also gain its benefit. Talk about an unfair advantage, though an unfair advantage suited these two perfectly well the way Kah saw it.

And then there was Kazo. Kazo made a sandstorm. Kah didn't like it; the taste and feel of sand lashing against her skin and getting into her mouth was just awful, to say the least. Not to mention she couldn't really see what she was doing now...which meant the twins couldn't either. That's pretty smart actually. Kazo seemed to have this under control, even if it was only for a little while. That gave Kah the opportunity to take a quick breath and handle...other matters. Namely, Latias. She was still under attack herself, and one Legendary versus two Godslayers was just begging for trouble.

Kah made in the direction of the water, readying a mighty kick to follow up on the (failed) attack she'd made on one of the twins earlier. Once the end of the dock was in sight, Kah jumped and dove feet-first into the water. Hopefully she'd remembered where exactly to aim to hit the Tentacruel that was giving Latias some trouble.

"Nobody innocent."

"Good..." Easter then went on to introduce the team to this hero - the Pupitar - and the mention of Brooke's name briefly caused a fit of worry to flare up in Fawkes. Was she alright?

"What. . . Dora! Fawkes! Are you alright? What happened?"

"Brooke!" Speak of the Emboar. Hearing her voice was a wave of reassurance Fawkes needed right now. Brooke was alive. Fawkes wasted no time in getting up to her feet, glancing around until she spotted Brooke - even if she wasn't by any means tall, it wasn't that difficult - and then darting in the Emboar's direction. Her back hurt. Her legs hurt to a lesser extent. But Fawkes was fine overall, somehow. She was more worried about Brooke, who in turn seemed to be more worried for Fawkes and Dora than herself. As Fawkes closed in on Brooke, she leapt forward, embracing the Emboar mid-flight and exclaiming "You scared us! I thought you were going to die!"

Juyu Team Karaoke

Luckily they had found a place to rest for the night, considering the condition of Juyu. Because of this, however, the group found themselves basically sleeping on top of each other. Lok found himself in between the rightmost wall of the room and Gwen. The coldness of the wall and the relative warmness of Gwen, alongside being pressed together, made it rather difficult to sleep. He let out a sigh. "If only possessing things didn't take up so much energy..." he thought to himself.

He had felt Gwen getting up early in the morning, but had decided to not get up until much later due to exhaustion. After breakfast, it was decided that they would go to Northshore. With no personal qualms and a yawn, he nodded his head in agreement before stretching. "Oh right. I have to go see someone before we leave so, feel free to go do whatever last minute things you want to do." Lok let out another yawn as the Houndoom left to his own devices. Not having much to do himself, he laid down on seemingly thin air a few inches above the ground. Eventually, Nine returned to the group before they headed out to their goal.

Adarid Team Karaoke

The trip itself was rather uneventful, and they eventually stopped at the gates of Adarid. Lok let out a sigh as Nine was talking. While he had agreed that this was probably the best idea, he still had some doubt in his mind - had they not just barely escaped not too long ago? Still, the others seemed set on going. Clinging close to Gwen, he moved onward with the rest of the group.

Juyu Team Showdown

After a rather long trip, they found themselves at Juyu. Or whatever was left of it. It wasn't fairing that much better than Deku had. "...goddamnit..." Scarlet muttered under her breathe, before going around town asking what had happened to Juyu. Not surprisingly, most seemed to thing that the cause was a fight between a legend and Godslayers. Somehow, this made Scarlet even angrier than she had been at Deku. "...Godslayers..." She spoke with rage in her voice, kicking the dirt below her. "Those bastards are no better than Thundurus...How could they let..." She took a deep breathe, turning back to the group. Despite her rage, she had to try and keep her cool. "C'mon, let's see what else we can find out..."

The town had been doing much better than Scarlet had initially thought, although it was still in shambles. Unlike the no-mans land that was now Deku, it seemed that there were still a few in Juyu trying to repair it. While they were making due with what they have, it was very clear that they were struggling to get by. Through gossip with said refugees, they found out that there was some sort of civil war going on in Adarid. "We might as well go to the mountains at this rate." There was a rare hint of annoyance in her voice. She had every right to be annoyed. Scarlet let out a sigh of annoyance, taking a seat on a nearby rock. "Any ideas of where to go? Adarid sounds like a no-go" She said dejectedly. She kind of wanted to go back to her hometown, just to make sure everything was ok. However, considering their current track record of finding destroyed cities, she'd rather not do that right now.

Ari was busy working himself up into a frenzy. He knew he wasn't strong enough. He was just a little lion, not even a big lion like his dad. Unless he increased his power, unless he got stronger, there was no way he'd even make a dent in the enemies. So he continued to concentrate, continued to focus, and could only hope that eventually, he'd be strong enough.

Suiten glared at the Salamence in front of him, paling when he saw the other performing a Dragon Dance, increasing both of their power. They needed to take one down, and fast. So he would put forth all his effort onto one and hope that with the others they could defeat him--

Or...not. Kazo had conjured a Sandstorm, making visibility rather nil, disappearing from his side. Soon after, Kah disappeared as well. Suiten paused. Had they...abandoned him? Because now it was just him facing down the Salamence, and while the enemy couldn't see, neither could he. He could only hope that things would turn out well, because it wasn't looking very good right now. He couldn't risk attacking without possibly hitting an ally, since he had no idea where they were.

The Samurott sighed, and braced himself, materializing a long, thin sword from out of nowhere. If the Salamence attacked, he would be ready.

--

"Do not understand. I was merely completing my mission." Deoxys replied. "I do not know why you wish to fight but perhaps one day we will meet again."

Perhaps a legendary would never understand, then. They were used to being called the best, and Deoxys seemed to be one of the stronger ones. But normal gijinka could only prove themselves by battling the so-called "best." They could only get stronger by battling them. That was why he wanted to fight Deoxys.

While he was talking to this...Denku fellow--what an odd name, not that he had any room to judge on that--Brooke woke up. She seemed rather disoriented, blindly calling for the two children before she was truly aware of her surroundings. Those are some powerful priorities, he thought, a tad wistfully.

Dora responded immediately, almost headbutting the Emboar in the stomach. "Hi! You were asleep too long, don't do that again, we have a hero friend, look, he's over there, his name is funny." Easter couldn't suppress a snort at that. So he wasn't the only one who thought that. "And Fawkes was asleep too but they're awake again too. Hi Fawkes! Everyone is okay! Except the city. Do all cities look like this?"

"No...," Denku--pfft--said. "The two legends... well... they made a huge mess of the place. We're really lucky it was really just buildings though... And Dora, I dunno where you got the idea, but I'm no hero," He sighed and stood up, cracking sounds heard as he did. "I suppose we'll part ways soon though. I have to keep moving."

"Oh?" Easter asked, smiling charmingly. "Where to?" This man had proven himself worthy of note. It wouldn't be surprising if he evolved into a powerful Tyranitar one day, a powerful dark type. Just like Whisper was. Unfortunately, he had lost track of the Absol, but he hoped to one day reunite with her and challenge her to a friendly match. Whether his match with this Denku would be friendly was still up in the air. Regardless, it wouldn't do to lose track of any potential targets. He was still sore over the way that Houndoom had evaded him, but one day. One day, he thought darkly.

He found himself distracted from his thoughts by the sight of Fawkes embracing Brooke, and his smile softened. "If you don't have any particular place in mind, you could come with us," he offered. "Safety in numbers and all that. We don't exactly have a particular destination, though I know Dora's mentioned she's wanted to see the floating city a couple times."

Team Mac, Day 15, Southshore

"This...Damn...Pest!" The Salamence targeting Latios roared. Every time he tried to get his bearings in the sand the little dragon struck him with his little projectile attack. It didn't hurt that much but so many of them in a row were steadily draining his health.

He knew he'd need to get out of this cycle fast, especially because soon Latios would also strike at him. And that attack would most certainly do more.

"Think some sand is gonna keep me distracted kid? I've dealt with this crap all the time in the Adarid Arena." It was true, he'd been in this situation many times before. Still, it wasn't like child-play. He hadn't been able to focus very well for several hits. But that changes now. "Sorry, I don't have time to play whack-a-Diglett with you." He growled.

Waiting...waiting...there! As Kazo popped up another time to attack, the Salamence darted upward and over Latios, grabbing the legend, taking him by surprise, and pushing him in the way of the Dragonbreath. As Latios was hit, the Salamence darted forward with a Dragon Claw to lay in even more damage upon the Psychic Dragon.

As soon as Latios dropped down, injured, the Salamence shot out a Fire Blast towards where Kazo was last.

---

"Brother, Billy, the other dragon dove into the water." The other Salamence shouted out to his twin.

"I told you not to use that name, didn't I?" His brother snapped.

"Fine, Ryu then. Just warning you."
"Better, Ken, just deal with those small fry there and back me up."

Ken, true name Jimmy, turned his attention to the other two. It was difficult, with sand buffeting him, to think of offense. But he had to wrap this up soon.

He went for the Samurott first. Suiten struck out with the blade, catching Ken by surprise, what move was that?
The attack had hurt, a surprising amount given what type of attack it was, but Ken knew he had to press on. He grabbed Suiten by the shoulders and pulled upwards, lifting the Samurott up as Ken spun in a circle mid-air and threw Suiten to the ground behind him.

Before Suiten could recover Ken aimed another Wing Attack at Ari. The weak link. Taking care of this runt would make it a one on one fight and then he could mop up the other one without having to worry about a surprise attack.

That was until he was struck with a surprise attack.

Flying in from seemingly nowhere, a familiar yellow and black figure leapt onto the scene as the Salamence was about to hit Ari. Mac let loose a roar of her own, her fist covered in crackling electricity, as she punched Ken in the side, blasting him with a surprisingly large bolt of electricity.

Ken grunted as he was knocked off course by the attack, but righted himself, floating in the air, and turned to the newcomer. "Another small one. This should be easy."

"Think again villain!" Mac called out. "I'm more than big enough for the likes of you! C'mon Ari, what are you waiting for, it's high time we teach these bullies a lesson. Never mess with a hero!"

---

As Kah made the questionable decision to attack the Tentacruel in the water; he merely moved to the side and let her kick land against the water, causing a pillar of water to rise up as she sunk deeper into the water.

Latias struck out as this happened, shooting a Mist Ball right through the water pillar and hitting the Tentacruel.

However Kah was now underwater, and the Tentacool took notice. She was suddenly assaulted by a dozen Poison Sting attacks. While individually they weren't much, the massive amount of hit she took hurt, and left her Poisoned.

Team Neo Not Dark, Day 15, Coldharbour

Brooke seemed to still be out of sorts as the children ran to her. She was thankful they were alright, though, and was sure to extend her thanks to the two who seemed to be responsible, Easter and Denku. However she didn't seem to be quite ready to act much more than that. She was worn out more than she had expected. That attack was a big risk it seemed.

Dora was just humming happily, rocking on her heels, as the "adults talked". But when she was mentioned she perked up and spun on her heels, going too fast and almost tumbling over, towards Denku.

"And Dora, I dunno where you got the idea, but I'm no hero,"

"That's what the big kid said though. I thought big kids were supposed to know what they're talking about?" Dora said with a wide eyed stare.

"Safety in numbers and all that. We don't exactly have a particular destination, though I know Dora's mentioned she's wanted to see the floating city a couple times."

"Floating city!" Dora shouted, suddenly remembering her intended destination. She hurried over to Denku, nudging him with her shoulder. "C'mon c'mon, we're going to the floating city now." She told him. "Let's hurry let's hurry!" She seemed to have already decided that Denku was going to come with them.

Team Karaoke, Day 22, Adarid Gate

"well, guess we'll just cut right through here. Hopefully the city won't be exploding again right?"

Gwen winced, remembering the previous trip to this city. For being the supposed most important city in the region it sure was...tumultuous. She followed him in silence, hand on Lok's shoulder, as they walked up towards the gate.

Fiona was glancing at Clotilde often, seemingly unnerved by her silence. Perhaps that's how maids were? Silent but deadly. In any case as they walked she noticed Lok clinging to Gwen and frowned. Why did that annoy her? Whatever, if he could do it, so could she.
Fiona moved towards Nine, grabbing onto his arm awkwardly. "U-um, if you don't mind." She muttered.

They reached the gate with no issues, realizing that it was quite odd not to see any traffic of any sort. However as they got within a couple dozen feet a small Aura Sphere landed in front of them, causing them to halt suddenly. "Stop!" they could hear from atop the wall, where a Lucario guardsman was standing with several others. "This city is on lockdown, due to the riots, we cannot let just anyone in. What are you doing here; and how do we know you're not a threat to this city?"

Team Scarlet Showdown, Day 20, Juyu

"Any ideas of where to go? Adarid sounds like a no-go"

"Pride Rock seems pointless. Who wants to go to a wild animal filled grassland? Even if the rumors of jewels is true. Other than that though...we could cut across the mountains if we want to avoid Adarid City. Who knows what's in those." It was the most Isole spoke and she was clearly unhappy with having to take the lead like this. "We could...try and get transport to Mount Icecrown." Clearly this wasn't an idea she was fond of. It was a dangerous place after all, and somewhat near Fryst."

As they walked around the city aimlessly, they were stopped by an Accelgor girl. She looked as uncomfortable as Isole did, talking, but she spoke up anyway. "Erm..I'm the deputy of Juyu and I...I need to make sure any newcomer is...not going to cause trouble." She said softly.

This was the least intimidating authority figure she'd ever met, Isole decided. And, being a pirate, she's met quite a few.

As Nine and the rest of his squad had made it to the gates, he suddenly felt a slight tug onto his arm. Looking at the culprit, he saw it was a rather bashful looking Fiona asking if it was alright to hold onto him. "Worry not, m'lady," he extended his arm a bit out for her to more comfortably grasp to it, his voice having a slight bit of charm in it. While he had outwardly agreed to it, he couldn't help but think that the girl was acting a bit odd, though didn't really know why she would be. As such, he merely chalked it up to her being a strange one and left it at that.

As he made his way over to the city gates, though, they were stopped by guardsmen. Nine was a bit confused, worried and curious as to what could have been going on beyond these walls that caused the guards to suddenly take their suspicious stance. Acting quite surprised Nine said, "lockdown? Well that's certainly troubling." Acting as though he were pondering on it for a bit, he then looked back and said, "but my sirs, we mean no harm to your city. We are travelers who wish to only pass through it on our journey. As for how we're not a threat, well," his face became a bit softer as he directed their attention to the somewhat timid forms of Lok and Fiona.

"This...Damn...Pest!" Kazo smiled at that. At the very least, he was doing something. "Think some sand is gonna keep me distracted kid? I've dealt with this crap all the time in the Adarid Arena. Sorry, I don't have time to play whack-a-Diglett with you." The Salamence growled. Kazo really didn't care what this guy had to time for. He was going to keep him locked down with these Dragonbreaths if it was the last thing he ever did.

However, when he popped up to fire another Dragonbreath, the Salamence used Latios as a shield. No! Why did that have to happen?! Before Kazo could even cry out though, the Salamence launched a Fire Blast at him. Kazo barely had time to get back under the ground as the ball of flame roared over his head. That was way too close. Sadly, Kazo knew he didn't have time to relax. That bastard was close to Latios, and could capitalize on him being injured.

Using all his digging speed, Kazo dug over towards the two, stopping right in front of where the Salamence hovered. He sprung out of the ground like a jack-in-the-box from hell and hardened his head, jumping up to be level with the Salamence and smashing his Iron Head into the Salmence's head. That outta get his attention away from Latios.

"Oh?" Easter asked the Pupitar, smiling charmingly. "Where to?" Denku didn't like that smile. Only three people smiled like that, salesmen, people that were flirting, or someone with an alternative motive. Funny enough, he didn't like any of those things, although he was sure he could tolerate salesmen. "If you don't have any particular place in mind, you could come with us," he offered. "Safety in numbers and all that. We don't exactly have a particular destination, though I know Dora's mentioned she's wanted to see the floating city a couple times."

"Floating city!" Dora shouted, startling Denku a bit. That came out of nowhere. She hurried over to Denku, nudging him with her shoulder. "C'mon c'mon, we're going to the floating city now." She told him. "Let's hurry let's hurry!" Denku sighed. It seemed Dora was determined to have him come along. Try though as he might, he couldn't think of a good reason to go with them.

"Fine... I'll come along," He said. "I don't have a particular destination either. I'm just looking for someone important to me, is all," He then shrugged. "A floating city sounds like just the place he'd want to go,"

Lok jumped as the projectile landed in front of the group. Lok looked up to see who had tossed the orb their way - a Lucario, who seemed to be a guardsman. He hid himself further behind Gwen as the Lucario spoke to them. "lockdown? Well that's certainly troubling." Nine took the lead in the situation, as he had times before. "but my sirs, we mean no harm to your city. We are travelers who wish to only pass through it on our journey. As for how we're not a threat, well," It was then that Nine directed the spotlight onto him and Fiona with a gesture. "H-Huh?" He stepped out from behind Gwen. "We don't want to cause any trouble, sir...we're just passing by, like he said." He gave a small and nervous chuckle as he looked up at the guard, unsure as to what was going to happen next.

Juyu Team Showdown

"Pride Rock seems pointless. Who wants to go to a wild animal filled grassland? Even if the rumors of jewels is true. Other than that though...we could cut across the mountains if we want to avoid Adarid City. Who knows what's in those." Isole didn't seem content with taking the lead in the situation as they walked around the town. Scarlet would have to take a mental note of this and decide where they were going to go next time. "We could...try and get transport to Mount Icecrown." Scarlet thought about it. 'Mount Icecrown? That's kind of dangerous...'  As they were walking, they crossed paths with a young Accelgor girl. "Erm..I'm the deputy of Juyu and I...I need to make sure any newcomer is...not going to cause trouble." The girl seemed very uncomfortable as she spoke, and very nonthreatening for an authority figure. Still, she was the deputy. "No need to worry, we're not here to cause any trouble - just passing by." She gave the girl a reassuring smile. It must be hard for her, having to keep the place under control how it is. She turned back to Isole and Taiga, thinking about the places she had traveled too. "Icecrown, huh? It'll be dangerous, but it's not like we have many other options..." She let out a sigh of annoyance. "It's either that or cut through the mountains of Adarid...I guess if there's no objections, Icecrown it is" She shrugged. She wasn't the most optimistic about it, but they weren't really swimming in options.

Kah's attack...had missed entirely. Kah looked above her in surprise as she shot down into the water, up to the scene of the Tentacruel and Latias at the water's surface. To make matters worse, Kah was hit by a barrage of little poisonous attacks. Inidividually, they were nothing really, but with the amount of them, Kah found herself wounded and poisoned. This wasn't at all how the encounter had played out in her head. She could figure out how to turn this around later; for now, she had to deal with a Tentacruel before it decided to deal with her.

Her pace slowed a bit due to her newfound poisoned wound, Kah swam back up to the surface, though - having six wings to help propel her along - she was by no means a slow swimmer. She could see Latias attacking the thing. Would this be the time for a follow-up attack? Kah certainly hoped so. As soon as her head was above water again, Kah took a deep breath, and swam for the Tentacruel as fast as she could. And once she was near it, her jaws swung wide open, and Kah pushed every part of her body she could push to get one last burst of speed before clamping her jaws shut, hopefully on the Tentacruel.

Fawkes's ears perked up at the sounds of discussion. Easter, Dora, and the hero - apparently Denku was his name? - were talking about where they all were headed. The floating city. Fawkes had trouble believing such a thing could really exist. Cities were big; how could one just be floating up in the sky like it was nothing? Her destination had been Fryst, but they'd passed right over it on their way here...talk about unlucky.

"Someone important?" Fawkes inquired. "What do they look like?"

Ari felt...something. An instinct, probably, like what his dad had told him about. Something that told him to look up. And so he did, squinting his eyes through the sandstorm. Right into the face of one of the gijinka they were fighting. He turned his shoulder, angling it so that his...wing, was pointing down, straight. Toward. Ari.

I need to move, the Litleo thought. But everything was happening so quickly, that he had no more than braced his feet to run when the wing was that much closer. And then a leap, a shout, and a familiar black and yellow figure punched the...dragon? Yeah, he looked like a dragon. She punched him in the side.

The dragon recovered himself quickly. "Another small one. This should be easy."

"Think again villain!" the girl called out. "I'm more than big enough for the likes of you! C'mon Ari, what are you waiting for, it's high time we teach these bullies a lesson. Never mess with a hero!"

"M-Mac!" Ari shouted, tears springing to his eyes for some reason. "Yeah, you're right," he gritted his teeth, the earlier fear and shock fading away, replaced by determination. "It's time to fight!" Hopefully those two Work Ups would be enough to do the job, but he couldn't rely on the others to shield him anymore while he "buffed" himself up, as they called it. He glared at the dragon, feeling his ability flare up. There will only be one of us left standing, and that'll be me! Running forward, the Litleo lowered his head, aiming to Headbutt against the gijinka's side.

Suiten, meanwhile, had been thrown to the ground by Ken--he agreed with the brother, Ryu. Billy was not a name that struck fear in one's heart--in a maneuver much like what one Hawlucha had performed on him once. He rose to his feet shakily, too late to protect the cub, but in the end, it didn't matter, as one troublemaker had appeared. He grinned with a mixture of relief and exasperation. Trust her to find the one spot of trouble in this whole town and run toward it, he thought.

At least this enemy he could see, close as he was. And he could see the children, too. Noticing that the lion had run forward, he did so as well, the sword reappearing in his hand. He would rather present himself as a target than one of them, especially Mac, who would probably let herself get carried away. "Hyaah!" he shouted.

--

Easter could see that he had been making this "Denku" fellow uncomfortable. The smile returned, with teeth this time. This one had good instincts. He was going to have so much fun with him~♪.

"Floating city!" Dora interjected. "C'mon c'mon, we're going to the floating city now. Let's hurry let's hurry!"

The Pupitar sighed. "Fine... I'll come along," He said. "I don't have a particular destination either. I'm just looking for someone important to me, is all," He then shrugged. "A floating city sounds like just the place he'd want to go."

"Someone important?" Fawkes inquired. "What do they look like?"

Easter stared at the other male, his glee set aside for curiosity. Perhaps he knew this gijinka the rock type was talking about. He'd been to quite a few places, seen quite a few gijinka. He made it a point to remember any strong ones he came across. Especially if they were dark or dragon types. "Is he strong?" he asked, voice a throaty trill. The Sylveon considered batting his eyelashes for good measure, but it wouldn't do to scare off his new victim--ahem, traveling companion, so soon.

Adarid Again/ ~

"...Additionally," Clotilde interjected in, her head still somewhat groggy, "I myself am a resident here. I say it is unlawful to withhold entry from me without sufficient investigation. Therefore I demand entry for myself and then for these people as my companions."

"We will of course, submit to any investigation or body search attempt you feel is necessary to not compromise the safety of this town but I ask we be let in once you have found nothing threatening on our persons. We will not stay long, we can move out before the end of the day if you feel that is necessary too. All we ask for is passage..." After completing her speech, Clotilde slowly huddled over and collapsed. The confusion cast on her did a much better job than it normally would, it seemed. Combined with the crowded room she had to sleep in and then the journey right afterwards, Clotilde caught a very crippling and dreadful disease. She caught a cold.

"Any ideas of where to go? Adarid sounds like a no-go"

Taiga frazzled her hair in frustration.

"Don't you guys have any idea of what you wanna do?!  I've been looking for treasure since day one, and I ain't seen none of it since I left Oasis!"  Her teeth grinded against each other.  "I coulda had that flute...woulda sold for a pretty penny...maybe even would have payed for an expedition to find Kyogre."  She turned to Scarlet, her face as red as her armor.  "But you just had to be pretty, and whisk me off to the tundra!  And now I'm responsible for angsty rotom?!  I didn't wanna be a mom yet!"  Her breathing was heavy.  This had been weighing on her for quite a bit now.  Her pockets were getting lighter and her stomach was empty...and that was a feeling she was not used to.  However, before she could continue her tirade, they were approached by an adorable accelgor.

"Erm..I'm the deputy of Juyu and I...I need to make sure any newcomer is...not going to cause trouble."

Taiga needed a stress reliever right about now.  She walked up to the accelgor and prodded her in the chest.

"So what if I am?  What's a cutie like you gonna do to stop me?"  She said, licking her teeth playfully.  "Maybe I wanna cause a ruckus, because nothin's been goin' my way lately.  Maybe I take the town and sell it to the highest bidder!  Fufufufu."

Team Karaoke, Day 22, Adarid Gate

Gwen grimaced when she realized she was included in the part of their group that could be considered a threat. Granted Lok and Fiona, especially as she clung to Nine, were certainly the least intimidating appearing of the group. The guards seemed to be leery, still, perhaps they've had people use kids to trick them before.

Clotilde then spoke up, proclaiming herself to be a citizen of this city, something that had actually slipped Gwen's mind, before collapsing suddenly.

Gwen hurried to her and crouched, resting a hand on her forehead as she noticed there was a bit of a clammy look to her. "She's sick!" She called out. "Please let us in, we can't exactly afford to cause any trouble with one of our own in this state now can we?"

The guards conferred with each other at this.

Fiona couldn't tell whether to be impressed or disturbed at Nine's comments towards her. M'lady? She seemed to be feeling down as Lok didn't react at all to her actions. Why did she care though? She supposed it'd be amusing to see him uncomfortable but there was no real gain for her.

Nonetheless being close to who seemed like the strongest of their group didn't seem like a bad idea. So she nestled in to the Fire type as he used her as a reason for them not being harmful.

She almost laughed at that.

When the maid collapsed, it proved to Fiona that her instincts were right. There was something wrong with the woman. Just not anything she had expected. Finding it hard to care, Fiona put on her most sad face she could muster. "Oh no, is Miss Clotilde going to be alright?"

Several moments later the gate opened itself up and they were led inside of the city.

Which they could see was in a state of chaos. Soldiers, not just the guards on the wall, were patrolling the streets with grim expressions. Buildings with broken doors and windows and fire damage could be seen, and as they watched a young man was tackled by a pair of soldiers and put into chains, to be dragged off.

"We can't afford to give you much but one of our guards can guide you." The guard in question was a Flaffy, who seemed nervous about heading out and away from the wall.

"Erm, I guess you'll be wanting to see a doctor? Well, most of the doctors have joined, that is, been taken hostage by the rebels. The only ones we have left are in the central guard station, near the Emperor's mansion. It's, ah, it's gonna be a bit of a hike..." He looked at Clotilde. "Sorry about that..."

The deeper the group got into the city the more instances of rebel fighters could be seen. There seemed to be many Gijinka trying to break through to get to the Emperor's mansion, and in the stretch they were going through there weren't as many soldiers. They hadn't traveled for more than an hour when they suddenly would be stopped by an explosion going off in a nearby building, sending out a shock-wave that would knock them off their feet.

A group of eight rebels came from the other side, surrounding the group, and demanding that they give up all their supplies or join them to "Support the cause of bringing down the corrupt leadership of the city."

Fiona let out a surprised snarl at the sudden attack, baring her teeth and bristling for a brief moment before smoothing her expression to one of fear.

Team Mac, Day 15, Southshore

Ryu flinched as Kazo struck him in the head with his attack. He pushed backwards, still in the air, to get some distance and rubbed his forehead. "That smarted..." Looking at Kazo, one eye covered by the hand holding his head, he gave a toothy grin. "Look at the little Dragon being a big funking hero, ain't that nice. It's not worth it kid, trust me. I used to be the Arena Champ back in the day, you know? Everyone cheered me on as I just kept winning and winning."

Latios decided to take advantage of the man's distraction and fired off a Dragon Pulse. Ryu turned his head slightly to his side, hands glowing with draconic power, as he knocked the attack aside with a Dragon Claw. Following it up with a Fire Blast that Latios was forced to block. "I wasn't finished." He said. "I was so loved the manager decided he wanted me to do more fights. More fights than I could handle. He found out I had a twin and decided it'd be a great idea to have him substitute for me when I was worn out. Worked for a while, till one of the other fighters found out and told the world. Manager was quick to claim I did it on my own. Those fans who were so happy to put me on a pedestal knocked me off right quick; I became the most hated man in Adarid City. All because that funker wanted to squeeze more money out of me and ditch me to save face. So I decided, you know what? Screw doing things the right way. I'm going to change the world and I'm going to get my revenge. No wannabe hero is gonna stop me now."

---

Ken heard his brother speak and groaned, realizing the man was letting his showman take over. He could have spent this time attacking instead but no, he just had to get his monologue in.

In the meantime Ken had a little kid attacking him. The Headbutt should have done nothing to him, however, the kid was clearly boosted because he actually felt some damage from it. This was getting ridiculous; these kids should be falling like flies. Perhaps it's because of that Samurott...

Whatever the case the kid was inexperienced. Sure he landed a hit but he was in prime position for a counterattack.

He opened his mouth and let out a Hydro Pump towards the Fire lion. He would end this...oh what now?

Mac had rushed forward as Ari did and, seeing the attack coming out, grabbed the boy and pulled him out of the way, getting struck by the attack instead. It hurt, and pushed the girl back, but she dug her feet into the ground, determined to weather this attack.
No, not just that, she would USE this attack. She forced her arm up into the water and let loose a Thundershock, which traveled along the water and hit the Salamence in the mouth.

Recoiling, Ken was forced to break off the attack.

Mac panted, tightening her hand in a fist as she felt her muscles aching, as if they were on fire, from the force of the attack. She laughed. "That...all you got?" She said.

Before he could respond Suiten made his move, thrusting towards Ken with that strange attack again. "Not this time." Ken growled, knocking the attack aside with a Dragon Claw. "I don't know who you are but you're in our way." Ken aimed his Dragon Claw at Suiten, forcing him to dodge the attack. However Ken then raised his hand in the air, and made a swift motion as if he was throwing something to the ground.

Above Suiten a large, glowing, orb came crashing down. The strongest Dragon move, Draco Meteor.

---

The Tentacruel cried out just before passing out, having taken too much damage from the combined attacks of Latias and Kah. The Tentacool seemed to still be intent on stopping them, though, as each of them shot out a pair of tentacles, Wrapping around the two dragons and forcing them to collide together. They then attempted to pull them both under the water.

Team Neo Not Dark, Day 15, Coldharbour

"Fine... I'll come along,"

That's all Dora had to hear. The entire rest of the conversation was blocked from her ears as she began hopping around the group in a circle. "New friend new friend; floating city floating city." She sung as she went.

Returning to the group after they talked, she then told them she wanted to go right then and took off towards the side of the city where several boats still lay intact.

She began to stammer out about what she wanted to do to a very confused boat captain. He looked towards the group with her, recognizing who they were, or at least what they had done, he hoped to get a better explanation out of them.

Meanwhile Brooke was looking at the city in deep thought. They would need help rebuilding, and she couldn't help but feel had she arrived here sooner perhaps it wouldn't be in as bad a shape.

Team Showdown, Day 20, Juyu

Kayla seemed to be relieved to find that this strange Scizor was a polite and friendly woman. It seemed their group was having troubles deciding what to do, which was unfortunate, but they didn't seem...

"So what if I am?  What's a cutie like you gonna do to stop me?"  Taiga said, licking her teeth playfully.  "Maybe I wanna cause a ruckus, because nothin's been goin' my way lately.  Maybe I take the town and sell it to the highest bidder!  Fufufufu."

Kayla took a step back and bent her knees as the Sharpedo in the group seemed to be threatening her and the city. She wasn't sure what the goal of this group was but this one seemed to be ready to take advantage of the city's recent troubles. This was no good. "That would be...inadvisable." Kayla said, looking slightly to the side as she spoke. She was really no good at direct confrontation like this.

Isole listened to Taiga's ranting with a bored expression. What did she want to do? She just wanted to travel, and see the world, on her own feet this time. But if this was what the world had to offer, perhaps she shouldn't be traveling at all.

Scarlet seemed to think that going to Icecrown, at least while Adarid City is in such a state, might be a good idea. But Taiga looked like she wanted to stir up some kind of excitement. Remembering last time that they had confronted the law; Isole decided it would be in her best interest to just watch as this unfolded.

Meanwhile Aegon wondered what was taking Kayla so long in getting food.

Adarid Team Karaoke

"C-Clotilde!" Lok almost immediately jumped from Gwen to Clotilde, as the maid had collapsed shortly after addressing the situation. "W-What happened...Are you ok? Clotilde?" She seemed to still be breathing, although she had a rather pale look in her face. Gwen had also came to check up on the fallen made. "She's sick! Please let us in, we can't exactly afford to cause any trouble with one of our own in this state now can we?" Lok turned to Gwen before returning his gaze back onto Clotilde. "S-Sick?"

After quite a while the doors finally opened up, and they were led into the city. Lok wanted try and help support Clotilde with his shoulders, but she turned out to be a bit too heavy for the frail ghost to handle. Instead, he walked alongside her as they made their way through the chaos around them int the city.  "We can't afford to give you much but one of our guards can guide you." The Flaffy's lack of confidence wasn't helping the situation much.

"Rebels...?" He thought out loud as they went deeper in the city. It was soon clear who the rebels were - more and more of them seem to appear the deeper they went into the city. There was also a lack of soldiers around them. It was then that they felt a sudden explosion. Lok stumbled over, falling onto the ground. As he got up, he noticed that the group had been surrounded by rebels. "Imma tell ya how dis is gonna go down." The first one to that spoke was a Pancham who didn't seem much older than Lok. "Yer either gonna fork over yer goods, or yer gonna join us. Either way, yer gonna help up take down dees jabroni! Understood?" The pancham pointed at the ground, clenching his right hand. "P-Please let us go, our friend is sick, and..." He remember the last time he tried to use words to get out of a situation - he could swear he still felt the chills in his chest from then. He let out a sigh as he clenched his fist, which had become surrounded in electricity. He raised it defensively. "I-I don't want to this..." He prepared himself for the worst.

Juyu Team Showdown

Scarlet let out a sigh as she placed her pincer on Tagia's shoulders. "Taiga, please...they've been through enough..." She let out a sigh, remembering what Taiga had said to them. She hadn't spoken back then to see if just ranting would help her stress, but that wasn't the case. "I know you're frustrated, we'll work something out..." It had been true that their events haven't really resulted in much treasure, or much of a change in scenery at all. She bit her lower lip, thinking of a way to calm Taiga down. Then she had an idea - maybe not the best idea she's had, but it was better than nothing. "Hey, how about we do some sparring outside the city? It'll help you blow off some stream without causing trouble here." She said, turning to the deputy and Isole, both seemed out of their element right now. "Plus, it's me you're mad at, right? It'll be fun." She spoke with a playful tone, clearly excited at the idea of fighting. She hadn't had a good fight for a while now - not since the boat. It would also help them learn more about their combat styles - or, at least, that's what she told herself as she gleefully started walking.
