"Well that's no good! Quincy of the Dragonite Express has never dropped a package and it wouldn't be good to start now! Well, you're not...packages. But she's never dropped a person before either! I...never carried one before but that's besides the point. You're safe in my hands!Oh I should get the thing!"

In the blink of an eye, the Dragonite was gone, leaving a gust of wind behind her that blew up dust in Taiga's face.  It was like adding insult to injury...all she wanted to do was leave this Podunk town!

"I suppose I was rather vague, but for those that have met her, those words alone would be enough to identify her. She is not your ordinary performer, even amongst the talents of Juyu. To speak their language, she is a virtuoso, an unparalleled genius. Within a minute her performances can bring you back to the happiest, or saddest periods of your life, and by the time she is finished you leave transcended.  Genius like that is rarely found in the constant mind, and I must confess to some concern. After such a devastating attack, there is no telling what she might do."

Taiga could hear the crobat drag on and on about some performer, but she was less than impressed.  Whoever that girl was trying to find seemed like a lost cause.

"So, I assume you guys are ready to head out?"

"Arceus yes..." Taiga whined.  Soon enough, the Dragonite returned with what seemed to be a cage strapped to it's back.

"Hi hi! For a mere 200 Poke I can get you all to Icecrown before you can say 'missing plot'! Well maybe not that fast but fast enough!"

With a glance back, Isole got in the cage.  A vein popped on Taiga's forehead...did this ice queen think she would get a free ride?!  Taiga almost blew a gasket, but she was already too worn out from walking to this town, and the further disappointment's it had in wait for them.  Instead, Taiga handed Quincy 50 poke.  She then turned to Scarlet.

"You give her 50.  Weirdo back there can give her the remaining 100...it's the price ya pay for travellin' with pros!  Fufufufufu!"  Taiga wearily stumbled into the chariot, before leaning on the side, closing her eyes for a bit.

"Hey, it's alright now, little bro. Everything will be okay," Kazo murmured, causing Ari to burrow his head even further into the dragon type's shirt.

"So you're leaving?" Mac said in slight disappointment. "I guess, if that's what you want, but don't you dare forget about me...us. One day I'll have to challenge you...And all of you as well." She said, gesturing to each of the Swords, to their amusement. "I'll let you off this time but we have to have a battle once things are...less crazy."

"Just when I thought the day couldn't get any crazier," Kazo muttered. "Well, good luck to you, Keldeo... don't do anything crazy out there."

Ari barely understood what was happening. All he knew was that Suiten was leaving and that he was also somebody important, somebody named Keldeo. He shook his head. "Good luck," he murmured, not able to summon up the energy to say much more than that, nor to care. Numbness had taken him over.

Keldeo glanced at each one of the people he was leaving, feeling once again tempted to stay. But who was to say that his presence wouldn't cause more trouble than they, including him with them, could handle? Trouble such as Godslayers. No, he was a protector, and this would be his way of protecting them. Maybe when they grew stronger, he could return...

He let a wistful smile take over at that. "I won't forget you, any of you," he replied. "May we all meet again some day..." the water type bowed elegantly. He held that position, doffed hat tightly clenched in his right hand, before straightening. "Farewell," he murmured, before turning around with a toss of his cape, and leaving with the others.

Ari stared at the ground, limp as a puppet with its strings cut. His mind ran around a circular racetrack of its own design, visiting the same points over and over again. Weakness, failure, not worth it.

Kazo's voice came as if from a distance, though he was right there beside him. "So... how did you know Suiten was Keldeo? Did he tell you?"

Ari looked up briefly, confused. Mac had known? Then...had she also known about Kah? That she would do this? His fists clenched of their own accord.

Easter gazed helplessly at the yawning maelstrom sucking the boat in. No, he couldn't let his journey end here. He knew if he died, it would be by the hand of one who had bested him, like one of the supposed gods. Not from a natural disaster. But what could he do? He was no great swimmer, despite his experience on a ship. Not even a Moonblast could stop what was happening.

Dora swept past him, eager to see the whirlpools up close. He stared at her in shock before Fawkes' voice brought him out of it. "Dora!" she called out. "Get away from there!"

Easter stumbled forward to the front as well, grabbing the Wooper and throwing her back at the others with a "Let's not go for a swim today, hm?" He wasn't sure how he could be so calm at the moment, but then again, nothing had truly made him panic before. Except seeing the dead body of that little Eevee, his mind supplied grimly. Shaking his head, the Sylveon attempted to focus on the here and now. Now, there wasn't just one little life at stake, but two. Dora and...Fawkes. Who reminded him so much of him it hurt.

From his position at the front of the ship, he had a front seat to the doom that was to befall their group. He stood there for a second, breathing in the sheer majesty and power of this, before his senses returned. Think, Easter, there is always a solution. There must be one to this too.

He scoured the landscape, the tickling in the back of the mind returning with a vengeance. "Whirlpools...something about that...but what," before he blinked. "Oh."

"I wish to thank you all. That man wanted to kill me. I’m not completely sure why but I believe it is to do with knowledge I have...which, I’m sorry, I cannot give to you." The Kirlia's gaze lingered on the Absol for a moment. "But there is something else I would like to give, to show my thanks. This song is an ancient melody, passed down for many years. It has the power to stop raging whirlpools. I will teach it to you now. Listen closely, and you will all be able to use it as well." She closed her eyes and began to hum a tune.

Not to mention... but, well, he wouldn't worry about that just yet. No, his priority was getting out of this alive. He sighed. "Times like these, I wish I still had my violin." He wasn't a bad singer by any means, but he had always preferred the violin to vocals. But the instrument had been far too breakable to bring along on his journey to become the strongest. "Let's hope this works," he muttered. He had his doubts, but there had been something almost mystical about that song, and that Kirlia. And it wasn't like he had any other options.

Easter opened his mouth, took a deep breath, and began to sing.

"A performer...? ...Yeah, I can't think of anyone. We'll keep an eye out for anyone that fits that, though. Just in case our paths cross again." She gave a wink at the Crobat before slowly making her way towards the rest of the group. "As much as I'd love to help you, we should really get going." She stopped, turning back to point at Yuffie. "Oh, uh...I know you not the most fond of her, but...we'll be leaving her with you." She shrugged, before waving. "I wish you the best of luck!" She returned to her route back to the rest of her companions, signalling Isole to follow her.

"It is fine, I did not expect much anyway," Veronica replied imperiously. "If you happen to hear of anything, however, let me know." She gave a dainty wave of her own, lowering her hand as they turned away.

Her eyes narrowed as she gazed after the group, especially the Rotom, who looked a bit hesitant before following the others. No... she thought, shaking her head. It wasn't as if she had expected them to know, either way, but it was disappointing to meet yet another dead end. She couldn't very well return without fulfilling her mission, now could she? It would hurt her pride as a lady to fail so. Yet it was looking more and more likely that that would be what happened.

The Crobat glanced down at the Fletchling with a mixed expression. No, it was better to leave while this one was still knocked out. She was quite tenacious for a little unevolved thing. Pity, she had wanted to pay the sheriff a visit too. But she couldn't stay here any longer while Yuffie was present. He would just have to accept that. Veronica harrumphed, turning on her heel to leave the area. It would do her no good to linger.

Randy uncrossed his arms, putting his hands in his pockets. "I don't have a problem with it, miss. Least you aren't judging us by appearance," he said, making a jab at the Gloom.

Marie walked over, grabbing Morgan's hands and shaking it, "it would be really awesome if we could stay at your place. Thanks for offering Morgan!"

"N-no problem!" the Eevee stuttered, a blush rising on her face as she stared at their joined hands. Coughing, she seemed to recover as she said. "Anyway, let's go!" She tightened her grip on the Popplio's hand as she ran out of the hotel and out into the city streets, half-dragging the girl with her.

They went from the beach to the housing area, where multiple mansions with sizable yards stood. Morgan took the opportunity to point out who owned which. "That place belongs to Miss Havisham, that to Ebenezer Scrooge, that to C. Montgomery Burns, that to Jay Gatsby, that to Elfriede Cassandria, though she doesn't usually stay there," and so on and so forth. Eventually they arrived at a large mansion that was no less impressive than the others that they had seen.

"Phew," Keanu whistled. "Is this a city for rich people, then? Cuz it sure looks like it."

Rushing up to the door without pause, Morgan slowed to halt after climbing the stairs, practically vibrating with anticipation. "Whaddaya think? Pretty cool, huh? It's nothing like the big one in town though. Don't worry, I'll convince my parents to let you stay." She took hold of a star-shaped metal door knocker, clanging it against the stone section of the door three times. "Hey, it's me, Morgan! I'm back!"

Immediately, the door opened, revealing a pair of gijinka, a Gligar butler and a Slurpuff maid. "Young miss! You're finally back!" the maid squealed, quickly ushering the group inside. It was just as lavish as the outside, with a checkerboard marble floor, the walls decorated with paintings and busts, and a chandelier hanging from the ceiling.

"We thought you might have died out there," the butler sniffed, dabbing a handkerchief to his eyes.

"I always stay out late though," Morgan sweatdropped.

"Yes, and you're lucky to still be alive," the boy wailed dramatically.

Even his fellow employee shot him a side glance at that. "You're getting me wet," she stamped her foot. "Don't be such a crybaby, look, Morgan's safe and sound."

Keanu watched the events with some amusement. "These people are...interesting," he said.

His voice seemed to remind Morgan of her company. Jumping, she said, "Oh yeah! Marie, Randy, Keanu, these two are the manse's butler and maid, Preston and Danielle."

The two bowed and curtsied correspondingly, their eyes widening at the visitors' state of attire, but politely not commenting. Keanu waved at them lazily.

"So where are mother and father?" the Eevee asked, tone becoming more formal. The girl started to fidget as she looked around furtively.

At that, the large double doors opened, revealing a dignified-looking couple. The male was an Espeon with a stern expression, while the female was a softly-smiling Flareon, though her eyes were just as cold.

"Mister Lewis and Mistress Catherine!" the Gligar gasped, bowing even deeper than he had to Keanu and company.

"H-hello, mother, father," the girl greeted, spine straightening automatically, grin a tad too bright.

"What is the meaning of this, Morgan?" the Espeon demanded, glaring at the group. "Who are these people? Don't tell me," his lip curled as he looked them over, "they're Chasers?"

Chasers? What does that even mean? Keanu thought. "What are you talkin' about, old ma--sir," he corrected himself at the thunderous expression on the Espeon's face.

"It's said in Adarid that if you defeat six legendary gijinka in battle, you will ascend and become one yourself. Chasers are those who have taken up the challenge. They usually go across the whole region looking for the legendaries," the Eevee explained.

"Well, there's no way we can be Chasers, seeing as we just got here," the Pikachu looked to the others, shrugging at them as if to ask, 'Have you ever heard of this before?'

"That place belongs to Miss Havisham, that to Ebenezer Scrooge, that to C. Montgomery Burns, that to Jay Gatsby, that to Elfriede Cassandria, though she doesn't usually stay there,"

Randy walked behind Morgan along with the others, listening to the Eevee rattle off a couple of names of those who lived in the other mansions. Sounded like a whole lot of rich people and to be honest, he didn't exactly understand too much of the lifestyle of the "rich and famous". Sure, he was famous in his own right...unless people were just uncultured...

He sighed to himself, keeping his mind off the Gloom's quick outburst like that as he just kept on trucking, only to stop at one mansion, which Morgan identified to be hers. Holy crap...this is a heck of a pad! Randy thought, whistling a bit. "Yeah...ain't gonna lie, you don't see stuff like this a whole lot of places in Alola..."

After being ushered in, Randy and the gang were met by a butler and maid, a Gligar by the name of Preston and a Slurpuff by the name of Danielle. And at first glance, they seemed to be quite the interesting bunch of characters. Once Morgan introduced the three to these two well dressed gijinkas, they bowed and curtsied.

"Alola." Randy simply said, not bothering with the hand gestures that normally go with it. It was obvious from the beach, the last time he did it, he probably looked like a fool to them. So it was better to simply just play it safe.

"So where are mother and father?"

"Misters Lewis and Mistress Catherine!"

"H-hello, mother, father,"

At that moment, Randy watched a male Espeon and female Flareon arrive on the scene. He immediately caught the look in Lewis' eyes. It was a pretty strong glare, a pretty intimidating one at that. Too bad he pretty much could take glares like that.

"What is the meaning of this, Morgan? Who are these people? Don't tell me, they're Chasers?"

"Chase...what?" the Incineroar asked, raising an eyebrow slightly. Was that something like those "Arena Champion" things?

"It's said in Adarid that if you defeat six legendary gijinka in battle, you will ascend and become one yourself. Chasers are those who have taken up the challenge. They usually go across the whole region looking for the legendaries,"

"T-They what?!" Randy exclaimed a little. He quickly shook his head. "Um, I'm sorry but that isn't alright! I mean...why the he-" He quickly stopped himself, clearing his throat and tried it again. "Why in the world would they even do such a thing? It just makes no sense!"

Adarid Team Karaoke

"Weird? Why...not? Was it that much of a problem?" She gave Lok a look of utter sadness, almost heart broken. "N-N-No! Th-that's not what I...I didn't..." He took a deep breath as the girl turned around. She seemed to have completely misunderstood what he was trying to say, more than likely due to his bad phrasing. Was this their first fight? It would make sense for them to be fighting over... "No, you idiot! You're not even a couple!" He thought about the two of them together. She seemed like she was into the idea - Lok wasn't entirely sure why, but she was. He shook his head "Now's not the time to be thinking about that!" Taking another deep breath, he made his way towards the girl on the other side of the door, placing his hand on her shoulder. "I didn't mean weird like a problem. It was just...unexpected...ya know?" He cleared his throat a little. "Especially since, you know...you and Alleria were...or at least I thought you were...a thing and well, I don't want to be cutting into your relationship like that..." What he didn't mention was his fear of both how Alleria would react and how Fiona would react to her reaction. The last thing he wanted was anyone getting hurt, both emotionally and physically - and that includes himself.

Juyu Team Showdown

Scarlet gave Veronica the closest thing she could muster as a thumbs-up. While she wasn't entirely sure how she was suppose to contact her if she did find something out, she figured that she would be meeting up with her in the near future. That would matter in a later time, however. Right now she had her trip to Icecrown. "Hi hi! For a mere 200 Poke I can get you all to Icecrown before you can say 'missing plot'! Well maybe not that fast but fast enough!" Isole almost immediately made her way into the carriage. Taiga didn't seem the most pleased with this, although she did manage to not go on a rant about it. "You give her 50. Weirdo back there can give her the remaining 100...it's the price ya pay for travellin' with pros! Fufufufufu!" Scarlet simply rolled her eyes, before turning to Tianzi. "I'll pay the 100. I'd feel bad if I made you pay more." She was dead set on not taking no for an answer, pulling out 100 Poke to pay for the ride. "Oh, also." She turned to the rest of the group. "If anyone has business here, now's the time to do it. However, if no one has anything..." She walked up to the cage. "Let's get going!" Excitement filled her voice; determination burned in her eyes. She was absolutely ready to go on their adventure.

Brooke spent most of her week below the deck, in the storage area of the ship, training. Coldharbour was a wake-up call; she had grown soft since she had started her shop, and the enemies they would be facing were anything but. She stacked empty crates and abandoned pallets, using them as obstacle courses and potential enemies. She fashioned weights from a few dusty slabs of steel, and used those to push herself physically, increasing her reps until her arms shook like gelatin.

When she exhausted herself physically, she would push herself mentally. Brooke experimented with what she had previously thought was the limits of Flame Charge, managing to move so quickly that the most a bystander would have been able to make out was the flaming footprints her steps left on the floor. It was painful, and taxing to push her body that far, but anytime she started to slow down the images of Fawkes and Dora and what almost was would spring to the forefront of her mind.

Brooke hated feeling useless, and as she was, there was no sugar-coating it. She had become a hindrance. Easter had done all of the heavy lifting when things got rough. She had even let herself be taken down by those two stupid thugs from Deku! She had to get stronger… and the best avenue to do that terrified her.

Susanoo of the Flame.

The power she had felt using it… it was unreal. If she could just sustain that, learn to use it without killing herself… even a legend would have to think twice before stepping to her. Something about the technique, it called to her. Fire always felt good to channel, like stretching a sore muscle, but tapping into the powers of Susanoo was different than that. It felt like… her right, in a way. It felt like something that no one could deny her, a power she had been born with, waiting to be claimed.

“Gagh!” Brooke gasped, dropping to her knees and clutching at her arm. Susanoo’s arm, burly and formed of white-hot flames, flickered and faded away. She had become competent at channeling the power, but it was still too overwhelming to manage. Summoning just the arm to strike at something, or the stomach for her to shelter in, was more manageable, but still draining. It was progress, but it was frustratingly slow.

Brooke bit her bottom lip, stifling another gasp of pain. Her right arm was blistered badly, tendrils of smoke still trailing off the skin, but it was nothing a Burn Heal couldn’t fix. She forced herself to get back onto her feet, stumbling over to the crate she had stored her bag, hat, and scarf on top of, near the stairs. It wasn’t hard to apply the Burn Heal once she got it from her backpack, and the pain lessened almost immediately.

She was busy chugging down a gallon of water and wiping her brow with her scarf when the boat suddenly rocked, nearly knocking her onto the ground, off the top of the crate she had seated herself on. “What the hell?” she muttered, hopping onto her feet. She wrapped her scarf around her neck and donned her hat as she headed up the stairs, onto the deck.

It was chaos. The captain was belting out orders, Fawkes was clinging to the railings for dear life, and she arrived just in time to watch as Easter launched her toward the back of the boat. “What… what’s going on?” she asked, running over to hold tightly to Dora, but she got her answer when she looked over the edge of the boat and spotted the swirling pool of death.

Brooke stumbled as the boat lurched again, catching herself with one hand, and then pushing closer to the railing. She pressed herself into Fawkes and Dora, making sure the children wouldn’t be pulled away by the turbulence. “Where’s Denku?” she shouted, hoping to be heard over the shouting of the crew and everyone else. She assumed that the sailors had some sort of experience with this, but she had no idea about Denku and the rest of the people she was traveling with.

Easter was calm (of course he was, a bitter voice snapped in the back of her mind). He glanced at the edge of the ship, to the whirlpool, then around again, lost in thought. Then, he opened his mouth, and he began to sing. Brooke was utterly confused at first, and then, a bit entranced by the sound. Something about that song… it was… soothing. Her panic slowly subsided, and the more he sang, the more everyone seemed to calm down.

Slowly, the boat began to straighten out. The roar of the whirlpool began to die down, and then, they were free. Brooke stumbled forward, shocked. “What… what was that?” she asked, breathless.

"You give her 50.  Weirdo back there can give her the remaining 100...it's the price ya pay for travellin' with pros!  Fufufufufu!"

"I'll pay the 100. I'd feel bad if I made you pay more."

"It's- Alright, thank you for your kind offer. I am truly indebted to you, young lady."

That was sorted out better than expected. Tianzi was tempted to just drop one of his gold nuggets to the Dragonite to one-up the shark, but he retained control in the end and simply opt to thank Scarlet for it. The group was then ready to leave not long after, and Veronica seemed like she'd leave the Fletchling behind just like that. After the little girl had been outed as a creepy stalker by the Crobat, it was quite understandable, although Tianzi couldn't help but feel his curiosity being tickled, and so he chose to go back a bit and shook the unconscious Fletchling a bit and whispered that Veronica's leaving, before she left with the rest of the group. Whatever her reaction might be, ought to be interesting and capable of shedding more light on the girl and Veronica's motivations.

"Indeed, it would be for the best if we leave immediately. I could sense that the future would hold a lot of interesting adventure and bounties abound to be claimed for you all. My eye can see the perilous fights before us all, but the rewards surely would be quite sweet and worth it. It would be quite advised if we tread our steps carefully, yet still filled with passion and desire to achieve great things. Surely, you all would become stars in the future, that should be the destiny waiting for you."

At times, Tianzi wished he could actually read the future- nah, that's lame.

Denku had honestly no idea what it would be like to be on a ship in the middle of a whirlpool. However, now that he was in the middle of one, he could say with all certainty... it sucked. Majorly. Easter had managed to grab Dora before she could fall into the water, again and threw her towards the group. Denku jumped up, catching the small Wooper like a football and landed, putting her down next to Fawkes before running off. He figured the best thing to do right now was to scan the boat, and make sure that no one fell off the edges. So far so good...

However, suddenly, someone began to sing. It was such a... haunting song. It was somehow both haunting and soothing, in such a way that Denku could hardly describe. Turning his head, he saw it was Easter singing... but that wasn't all. The whirlpool began to calm down, spinning slower and slower until it faded from existence. It raised so many questions, ones he wasn't sure if one should ask. However, he had a feeling he wouldn't have to. The kids and Brooke would do that for him.  He decided for now, it was best to just walk back to the group and stand there. He was sure things would be explained soon.

Once Nine had struck the man with the flames, he continued his approach only to notice something was immediately off. Noting that the Zebstrika had stopped in his tracks, Nine quickly tried to stop himself from moving forward, but both due to his own momentum and the Zebstrika's speed he couldn't stop what was about to happen. Getting struck by the electrified fist, Nine was blown back a bit, though kept to his feet. He took a bit to catch his breath, the strength from the blow being on a completely different level than most of the gijinkas he had ever fought. Even in comparison to the Godslayer Xatu, this man had a strength that was almost incomparable. The chances of him actually being able to beat the Zebstrika in a head on a fight were near impossible. And so, the man figured that it would best suit him to hang back a bit and await what the beast of a man would do. Besides, Nine had questions that this man most assuredly had answers to.

With the aura within him sharpening, bolstering his flames, the houndoom took a more guarded stance keeping himself outside of the immediate striking range of the Zebstrika. With a pained grin on his face, the man joking said. "well, glad to see I've got your attention now." Staying in place he then asked, "so, are you going to kill Victni when you find it?"

"You already know that answer, don't you? I can feel it. You've met one of the others before. Yes, the  Avatar of Victory will die today." Jabari moved backwards, keeping both Nine and Vita in sight, and a wave of electricity coated the ground as he activated Ion Deluge.

Nine grimaced at the man's answer. "So, there is more than one." It was a terrifying thought to think that there was more than one god slayer. More than one person who held that much power- nay, even more than the first one he had fought. As things stood , the Houndoom knew of potentially three of them, and the Zebstrika before him wasn't even the strongest. How many Godslayers were there? And how strong were all of them? But more importantly. "Why? What's the point in killing them all?" Seeing the lightning coat the field, Nine understood that something big was likely coming, and so he would pull out all the stops. With a flash of flame coming off of him, the an aura of embers coated Nine's body, radiating with an orange glow. As it did, the pain he felt from the earlier attack started to gradually dissipate.

Jabari looked at Nine, face lacking expression, and grunted. "To invoke change drastic actions must be taken. The world cannot change unless it is forced to." The way that he said this made it sound as though it wasn't his words. Flames began to surround Jabari as well and he charged...at Vita. The girl raised her arms in surprise as he crashed into her. She tried to counter with a Dragon Claw but he dodged out of the way, moving somewhat quicker than before.

Nine proceeded to chase after him, flames in hand. Going into strike at melee with his flaming hand, it then dispersed as the man feinted with that hand, going for a foul play punch with the other. "And you think slaughter is the way to bring that about? Is that part of your 'honor,' warrior?"

Jabari took the blow to his muscular body, doubling over slightly, having been caught off guard. However, he then proceeded to grab Nine by the shoulders and slams his head into the Houndoom's own. "You aren't the first to question. Outsiders understand nothing about our honor. Battle, victory, death, that is how it is. If you wish this to end you would be helping me. The Gods are what keep this in place."

Doubling back from the pain, Nine stepped back a bit before righting himself. "You mean keep the world together? The sun shining, the clock ticking, the world from crumbling? You're right, I can't understand your honor. To me it's just pretty words that men who can only fight hide behind." The aura within him sharpened his flames once more. "So tell me, what's the point of change if there's no one around to witness it?"

"The Gods won't be necessary once this is finished." Jabari charged, swinging his fist.

As the fist came towards him, Nine simply said, "that's not the point." Bracing himself, Nine put up both of his hands to take the fist dead on, wincing from the pain and being pushed back a bit, before igniting one of his hands. With a palm thrust forward Nine let loose a burst form of his flamethrower, far stronger than the first one he had used, at the man's torso. Meanwhile, behind them, the champion Vita took to the skies and attacked with a Fire Blast. Once the attack had finished, Nine simply asked, "tell me warrior, what's your name?"

Somewhere much less climatic, Marie was following after Morgan, feeling both quite peppy and excited for what their house was going to be like. She didn't go over to many people's houses often, so it was always cool to see what they were like. As the group continued to walk through Northshore, Marie was getting quite confused at all the names that Morgan was throwing out, wondering if having a really weird name was something that came with being rich. Eventually, though, Morgan directed them to her house which caused Marie's eyes to go wide at the sight. She had never seen a place quite as large as it before and could only stand there in shock. "Whoa! This is your place Morgan? That's super cool!" Soon though, more gijinka started to come out of the house, greeting Morgan being both worried and happy to see that she had made it back home.

It wasn't soon after this, though, that the parents of Morgan were summoned to the door, though they looked all too cold at the girl. And Marie's group at that. While Marie was a bit put off by it, they seemed to think that they were something called "Chasers," which piqued her curiosity. Unless of course they were calling them names. That was just rude to do someone you just met. However, it seemed that there were people who wished to fight six legends so that they could ascend to become one themselves. "Whoa, that sounds pretty cool," Marie said. "But, I've never heard of them before either. So, we probably aren't those."

Team Mac, Day 15, Southshore

Mac watched as Keldeo left. Even though he hadn't been there as long as Kah he, for Mac, had even more of an impact. It was strange just letting him go like that. Usually Mac would be all for commanding him to stay. But, in the face of what they just experienced, she couldn't bring herself to do it.

She stayed sitting near Latias, looking up into the sky aimlessly, until Kazo spoke.

"So... how did you know Suiten was Keldeo? Did he tell you?"

Mac looked over at her lackey...One of only two remaining. "No...I just knew." She stood up and put her fists on her hips, starting to feel a bit more herself now that Kazo had turned the spotlight on her. "I dunno about you but I did do some research about the Legends before starting this. Keldeo is sorta um...obscure but it seemed to add up." She grinned at him. "Impressed yet? I bet I know loads that you don't. That's why I'm the leader...Even if we're only a group of three now...A-anyway it's not like we need more. We're a lean mean fighting machine on our own!" She glanced over at Ari and wavered slightly. Yeah, totally, lean mean....

"Once Latias wakes up we should get back to the inn and rest up; we'll be heading out of here tomorrow."

----------

Kah

The trip was uncomfortable to say the least. Ankou didn't speak much more after the initial talk. She seemed to be lost in her own world, barely even eating, and drifted off constantly. Some days they stayed in one place for an entire day and night just because she didn't feel like moving.

Edgelord was clearly bothered by something. Multiple somethings. One of which was obviously Kah's very presence. He eventually got around to asking her what she was even doing there anyway.

Though his tone was odd. It was dismissive but there was something curious about it. He seemed to actually want to understand.

Team Neo Not Dark, Day 24, Water Route to Mioter

Dora, who had been grabbed by Brooke, managed to wiggle free from her grasp in an attempt to enjoy the fun of the ship rocking back and forth. However it didn't seem to go so well for her as she only ended up being grabbed by Denku instead. She pondered for a moment how she earlier had remarked that she wasn't an object to be carried, like a sack of potatoes, but maybe, just maybe, she was more potato sack-y than she realized.

"I bet I'd be a good potato." she said off hand towards the group.

She watched intently as Easter sang a song. The pretty lady had the right idea, singing was fun, so Dora also sang, trying to imitate Easter, and failing.

Nonetheless the song seemed to have...some sort of effect, though not helped by Dora in the slightest, and the whirlpools calmed.

The ferry continued its course, with the captain cheering and shouting praises towards Easter, through the water.

And then a column of water erupted in front of their vessel. A bubble of water surrounding a figure emerged. As the water receded, the bubble popped, revealing the Gijinka inside of it.

Something about this Gijinka was reminiscent of Thundurus, of Deoxys, and even of Kyurem. But there was something else. Something that even Dora could feel. Wisdom. Palatable wisdom. The man made his way onto the ferry, staying above the group, and looked around. His eyes alighted upon Easter and he frowned. "You, you are not Meloetta. They are the only one I taught my song to. How do you know it?" He glanced at the others. "And all of you. You each have the Aura of my kind about you. Are you Chasers? Or, perhaps, something more sinister?"

There was a feeling of threat, though not as obvious as the other Legends, about the man's words. Dora was the first to speak up. With a much less grandiose shout of. "I'm a potato!"

Team Showdown, Day 22, Juyu

Once she recieved her pay, Quincy grinned widely and lifted up the chariot in both of her arms, standing in the spot usually reserved for horses. "And...here...we...gooooooooooooo!"

She took off suddenly at extreme speeds, sending Isole crashing into whoever was behind her on the chariot, and nearly throwing everyone off of the thing. They would have to hang on tightly to keep from toppling over the side.

They would stop for rest a total of two times in the trip, somehow making it near Icecrown in a mere three days. By the end of it the group would all be feeling the whiplash. However that's not all. They'd also be feeling the cold once more.
Quincy became much less chatty when exposed to the cold weather and she informed them she would not be able to take them up Mount Icecrown itself and instead left them at the foot of the mountain.

BGM

Mount Icecrown. A massive mountain near the city of Fryst. Rumored to house an incredible treasure at its peak many adventurers have tried to climb it. None have ever reached the top however. Beasts and snow were both a danger on the treacherous, narrow, paths up the mountain. And at many points Gijinka would have to climb the icy walls. Flying Gijinka had difficulty keeping airborne the higher they got, and there has been stories of wings freezing entirely.

Isole looked up at the mountain. She knew of this place. She had gone here after leaving Deku as a young Rotom. This is where she had gotten the power that transformed her into her current form...Though she never got very far up the mountain itself. Only the interference from Captain had kept her alive...and now she was back.

"...What's that?" She said, pointing towards the very base of the mountain.

As they approached they would see a group of a dozen Sneasel Gijinka, all seemingly from some sort of clan. When they got close the Sneasel would attack without warning, evidently protecting the path for some reason.

Team Karaoke, Day 20, Adarid City

"I didn't mean weird like a problem. It was just...unexpected...ya know?" He cleared his throat a little. "Especially since, you know...you and Alleria were...or at least I thought you were...a thing and well, I don't want to be cutting into your relationship like that..."

Fiona shuddered at the name. "Don't...mention...her...again." She said, trying to keep her voice calm. A few awkward moments passed when Fiona turned to look Lok in the eyes. She smiled sweetly at him. "Sorry about all that. I guess I'm just being weird, aren't I?" She giggled in what would seem to be a self-deprecating manner. "You know, that was the first time I've actually kissed a boy before." A blush formed on her face.

And in her head she was laughing at how well this was working. This boy was basically putty. Now if only he were stronger...

--------

Jabari took off towards the side and let the two powerful flames collide together. He stayed just on the edge of the flames, feeling the intense heat, almost relishing it, as Nine spoke.

"tell me warrior, what's your name?"

"...Jabari." The Zebstrika responded. These two were strong. That much he could tell. And there was a disturbing Aura of power around Nine himself. The Houndoom was stronger than he should have been. That attack had been amplified. If that was the case...Jabari would have to fight harder.

He went for Nine once more, his fists glowing with energy, and struck out again. However this time it wasn't his regular attacks. It was a full blown, electrically charged, Thrash attack.

Gwen's eyes widened at the fight that broke out in front of her. She had to do something, right? But...was the only recourse to fight? She noticed something...odd about the Zebstrika. His attacks came with a slight hesitation. Why was that?

....Hesitation or not, he still could very easily kill Nine if left to it. She didn't want to do battle but if she didn't...

Gwen remembered something then...the move she had learned recently. She put her hands up, palms facing each other, as flames began to form. She then launched the Mystical Fire...at Nine, watching as the Houndoom absorbed the fire.

Vita in the meantime began to perform a kind of dance, increasing her speed and power with every movement.

Everything calmed down for a moment. If Easter responded, it was drown out by the roaring of the crew, voicing their thanks. Brooke breathed a sigh of relief, shoulder slumping forward. She had burned herself out already training, and she wouldn’t have been any help in the water. “Whatever it was, thanks. Nice to know you’ve got an answer for everything,” she grumbled the last bit under her breath, and then spun on her heel to talk to the children.

She heard Lugia before she saw him, ocean rippling as he shot out of the water. Droplets rained down on her, and Brooke shivered when the arctic water touched her skin. Her body’s natural temperature caused it to evaporate not soon after coming in contact with her arms, steam rising off of her skin. “Huh?” she mumbled, the hair on the back of her neck standing up. Something wasn’t right… the familiar feeling, starting in the base of her spine and coiling up to the her neck, causing the hairs on the back of her neck to stand up, was back. The same feeling she had first experienced standing in front of Deoxys, and once again in the presence of Kyurem.

She turned back around, and sure enough, there was a tall, unfamiliar figuring hovering above the ship. "You, you are not Meloetta. They are the only one I taught my song to. How do you know it?" He glanced at the others. "And all of you. You each have the Aura of my kind about you. Are you Chasers? Or, perhaps, something more sinister?" His voice was deep and echoed across the entire ship, but it was nothing like Kyurem’s monstrous rumble. Brooke imagined it was a great river personified in someone’s voice; soothing and easy to listen to, but deceptively powerful. What he said, though, was a lot less cryptic. She had lived in Deku long enough to know a veiled threat when she heard one.

She had to fight down the surge of anger she felt at the legendary’s accusations, knowing that it wouldn’t get them anywhere. She stepped and scooted Dora behind her leg protectively, before Lugia could respond to her. “We’re no Chasers,” she started, and then looked over at Easter and added, “at least the majority of us aren’t. Nothing more than victims of circumstance, to be completely honest with you. I’m just a merchant from Deku, and the kids are my charges. We headed to Coldharbour after Deku was destroyed by Thundurus, but that city was nearly leveled by a Dragon called Kyurem’s temper tantrum. We stopped him, and decided to head for Mioter.” She tilted her head up for a better look at who she was speaking to. “We don’t want any trouble. We just want to pass through here, I swear.”

Adarid Again/ ~

Although she ran along the three companions towards Nine's direction, in the middle of the path Clotilde had to pause to take breath and urged the others to go ahead. She felt a great weight push her down, perhaps the cold she caught was truly more dreadful than she expected. This result was more or less her fault, she should've waited at the hospital earlier but she ignored the Audino's warnings. Clotilde felt a tingling restlessness which was very unbecoming of a maid that she was. It pushed her to hurry. It wasn't like Dialga was nearby by any means, but she felt an opportunity to find the smallest of clues was quickly approaching. Women's intuition, perhaps.

Clotilde quickly recovered again, but for how long she didn't know. The best she could do was save energy by walking there. But she couldn't wait, so she began jogging. Unsurprisingly she made no sounds with her footsteps. Such was the competency of a maid from Styles.

She almost reached the foot of the arena when from beyond the corner she heard Lok and Fiona engaging in conversation again. Due to her silent presence she managed to get closer than usual without being noticed and overheard what seemed to be a very innocuous conversation. She should quickly greet or ignore the two, and then hurry into the arena. She really should. However...

She felt something nagging her. Something about this situation didn't seem right.

Fiona's unusual reaction to the mention of 'Alleria' tipped Clotilde off and she stopped. Listening in, it reminded her of a typical sly, vixen schemer character that was so over-present in the melodramas she read. Of course, fiction did not reflect reality and it would be hasty and foolish to act based on such flimsy reasoning. And she really should be rushing inside to help Nine and Gwen against whatever it was they were fighting. This really could just be making a problem out of nothing. Yet, she felt compelled to intervene, to ascertain Fiona's character or else Lok may be in danger.

"Pardon, what are you attempting to manipulate Lok for, Fiona?" Clotilde appeared from the corner and grabbed her by the shoulder.

Fiona seemed to shudder at the mention of Alleria. There was an awkward pause as she turned away from him, before she turned to him. She smiled sweetly at him. "Sorry about all that. I guess I'm just being weird, aren't I?" She giggled in what would seem to be a self-deprecating manner. "You know, that was the first time I've actually kissed a boy before." A blush formed on her face. Something about the way the girl was acting was odd, especially with her reaction to the mention of Alleria. As he was about to respond to her, however, Clotilde seemingly appeared out of nowhere, causing Lok to nearly jump. "Pardon, what are you attempting to manipulate Lok for, Fiona?" Lok stared at the aggron, before turning to Fiona. The girl had been acting weird, especially when Alleria came up. Plus, she had tricked them in the past. On the other hand, however, Gwen seemed to trust her enough to join their team, and Lok trusted Gwen's judgement. And yet, Clotilde didn't seem to have the same trust the ghostly girl had. He elected to not say anything, waiting on Fiona's response.

Icecrown Team Showdown

The trip to Icecrown had been less than comfortable; Scarlet's neck could attest to this. However, any neck pain she had seemed to fade away in favor of excitement as they landed onto the foot of the icy mountain. "Finally!" She started stretching, rubbing the back of her neck. "...What's that?" Isole pointed to something on the very bottom of the mountain. As the group got closer to what she was pointing at, they were greeted by a clan of sneasels. Cautiously, Scarlet made her way toward the group. "Hello there! We don't me-" Before she could finish her sentence, however, two of the sneasels immediately pounced at her. Reacting quickly, Scarlet fired off a Bullet Punch at one of them as the other one struck her with its claws. Wincing, she punched the other one, before dashing backwards away from the rest of them, who were staring at the group, ready to attack at any moment. "You guys ready?" She spoke, preparing herself for another attack.

We're a lean mean fighting machine on our own!" Kazo just blinked. She just knew... right. You know what? After today, he was just going to let that slide. It somehow was also the most straight forward answer he got all day. "Once Latias wakes up we should get back to the inn and rest up; we'll be heading out of here tomorrow." Kazo stared at her for a few seconds.

"Pretty sure I just said that," He muttered as he shook his head. "Well, whatever. It's good to have you back Mac," He looked down at Ari, petting his head some more. "I'm probably going to go shopping before bed tonight though... gotta make sure we got supplies and everything...," Yeah, now that he thought about it, he should think of a way to make money soon. For now though, he looked over to Mac. "So... I already asked Ari this, but what's your family like? Since you're the leader, I should know about the people that made her who she is,"

Denku was quite relieved that they made it through the dangerous waters, joy inside of him as the entire crew celebrated around him... however, the celebrations were cut short by a gijinka flying out of the water. He made his way over to the ferry, hovering above it, until he was looking at Easter.  "You, you are not Meloetta. They are the only one I taught my song to. How do you know it?" He glanced at the others. "And all of you. You each have the Aura of my kind about you. Are you Chasers? Or, perhaps, something more sinister?"

"I'm a potato!" Dora called out, causing Denku to force down a laugh. He didn't know why, but that caught him so off guard.

“We’re no Chasers, at least the majority of us aren’t," Brook spoke up, causing Denku to look at her. Please not like Fia, please don't be like Fia. "Nothing more than victims of circumstance, to be completely honest with you. I’m just a merchant from Deku, and the kids are my charges. We headed to Coldharbour after Deku was destroyed by Thundurus, but that city was nearly leveled by a Dragon called Kyurem’s temper tantrum. We stopped him, and decided to head for Mioter. We don’t want any trouble. We just want to pass through here, I swear.”

Thank the gods, a normal, reasonable person.

"I also am not a Chaser. although my story is a bit more... complex than hers," Denku stated, folding his arms. "I am looking for my younger brother, who I was separated from over ten years ago. I joined a group that took me to...," He paused. Maybe he shouldn't reveal it... "A certain place, where we met Xerneas under attack from a Godslayer. It was... a long and confusing battle, but in the end, no lives were lost. Xerneas then teleported me to where a dragon named Kyurem and another legend were battling. I met these people there, and we are now headed for Mioter," He paused, realizing a lot of people probably claimed to have met a legend before. "If you need proof of my meeting with Xerneas, she taught me the move Aromatherapy before we parted ways," He said, closing his eyes.

He hadn't really had a chance to use this move, and for a second, he was afraid it wouldn't work. However, a sweet scented wind came blowing in, one that would soothe the soul... heck, using it even made Denku feel calmer. He opened his eyes, and waited for Lugia's verdict.

With the warrior having dodged the two attacks, the flames collided and blew up uselessly against each other. Nine looked over to see the lightning charging off of Jabari, though his movements seemed oddly hesitant. He hadn't stopped however, and Nine noticed him ready to charge once again. However, he also noticed a strange flame coming from the direction of the arena's entrance. Seeing Gwendoline at the entrance, Nine mentally thanked her, as he started to backpedal away from Jabari and into the flames. Once they struck him, they were absorbed into his body, causing the already intense aura of flame to grow even more wild. Jumping back a bit, Nine shot flame towards the ground to both stop Jabari's advance and send himself backward.

With the explosion of dirt and sand forcing Jabari to flinch, he stopped only to have Vita charge at him with a dragon claw. The Zebstrika simply batted her away with another shockwave, causing the champion to be knocked away and glow as she entered her Blaze range, and turned to face Nine once more. Even with this power boost, Nine wasn't sure if he'd be able to fight him still. Though, there was definitely something off about the way the warrior was fighting, and Nine was starting to get curious once more. Though the man before him appeared as a beast, Nine was wondering if there was something holding him back; if he was more a person then he let on. Were that the case, the houndoom hoped that things would start to look up for him, though there was only one way to find out. "Jabari, I'll ask again. Why are you doing this? What are you trying to change? What are you trying to protect?"

"Does it matter? I am your opponent. I seek the destruction of what you protect. My motives are my own."

Gritting his teeth, Nine decided to continue persisting as he shouted at the Zebstrika. "Don't you get it? That's exactly why it matters! I'm trying to protect someone else, I'm not trying to kill you and as far as I can tell I don't seek to destroy what you protect." As he said this, the aura within him refined itself to its highest point, causing the flaming aura around him to blaze at its brightest. "And more specifically, I don't want you to keep going on this path of destruction your running down."

"If I surrender everything I have worked to will be broken. I've come too far. I've even put her at risk..." Jabari shook his head and charged towards Nine, crouching and leaping with his powerful legs. He fired a Shockwave along the ground as he descended upon Nine.

Nine's eyes widened at the man's statement. He had found something within Jabari, and somehow Nine started to think less of ending the fight and more of trying to understand this Godslayer. There was something warped about his thoughts and methods, but Nine figured that it was simply because he didn't know how else to change the through anything but violence. As Nine saw Vita starting to pull back a punch and focus her energy in it, he shot her a look to stay back for the time being. Throwing a blast of flame, Nine managed to intercept the shockwave and stop it completely, though that did little to stop the man that was jumping towards him. Bringing up his other arm to intercept the punch.

Taking the brunt of it, the houndoom staggered back as his face scrunched in pain from the attack. It didn't hurt as much as it could have, but his arm was practically screaming in pain now, hurting even to move. If he kept using it there was a chance it would accentuate the problem, and so he merely let it hang there for a bit. Feeling as though he couldn't  back down in a match of ideals against the Godslayer, Nine started speaking again. "It's never too far Jabari, especially not for someone with as much strength as you." Standing up straighter he says, "if we keep fighting, one of us will die. I have people who'd be sad to see me go, so I'm not entirely in the mood to go down. And you, well. I'm sure no change is worth it if you aren't around with her."

Jabari his attacks suddenly halting, standing firmly in place, staring at Nine. "You are not the first opponent who did not want to fight. They would have died had others not intercepted. My sins are too great; my death is assured and deserved. I can only continue to fight until that happens. I will ensure a better world before I pass."

Nine stared straight back to Jabari, unflinching in his stance. "I don't think this world is perfect either. I'm not a Chaser because I want to be strong. I just want to know why the world is the way it is, and how to go about fixing it. I haven't learned much yet, but I do know this for certain. A world created and founded on the blood of legends, on the blood of regular people, can't be a world that's better than this one."

"You still do not understand. A world created by blood. That is our world." The electrified ground suddenly sparked, as the energy flowed into Jabari, his body crackled with electricity.

"Heh, I guess that makes two of us." Loose flames started to coat Nine's body, as something akin to a wildfire erupted on his arm, the flame in his hand taking on an almost blue color from the heat. "You think drowning the world in blood is going to clean it?" Nine would only relent his flames once Jabari relented. However, were he not to, he'd keep the blaze going. As Vita had made her move, charging at the Godslayer with a Focus Punch, Nine began to think. Jabari had shown excellent battlefield awareness this entire fight, and each time Vita had charged on her he had merely batted her away with a shockwave. However, the one time the two of them had pincered him and attacked at the same time, he had reacted differently. As such, when Vita had charged at him, doing a similar movement to how had done before, Nine thrust his palm forward looking to shoot a flamethrower from it. However, rather than shooting at that moment, there was a slight delay as he instead shot it to Jabari's side, expecting him to dodge out of the way of his feint and dodge into the flame instead.

Fiona, Day 20, Adarid City

"Pardon, what are you attempting to manipulate Lok for, Fiona?"

The smile slide from her face like slime. She mentally, just barely avoiding physically, glowered at the hand on her shoulder. This Aggron...yes she was certainly right to dislike this one. But she couldn't show it. She let out a sudden "eep" and jumped a little. "Oh, gosh, Clotilde you gave me a start...Manipulate? N-no, why would..." She cast her gaze downward, demurely. "He already saw my bad side...w-what would I be able to hide from him he hadn't seen before?" She began fidgeting uncomfortably. "C-could you let go of me. I don't...like being touched."

She then looked at Lok with pleading eyes, silently asking him to help her out.

"Oh, gosh, Clotilde you gave me a start...Manipulate? N-no, why would..." Fiona's head turned to the ground. "He already saw my bad side...w-what would I be able to hide from him he hadn't seen before?" She began fidgeting uncomfortably. "C-could you let go of me. I don't...like being touched." The girl looked up to Lok, a cry for help entwined in them. He didn't know how to react. What she said made sense; she even told him her background. Or, at the very least, a part of it. She was rather vague about it. On the other hand, she hasn't done anything when she easily could of. Another thought crossed his mind. "Why..." He muttered, staring at nothing in particular while lost in thought. He didn't really have much to offer; he wasn't the brightest of the bunch, and he definitely wasn't the strongest. On the other hand, he also couldn't see what she could possible see in him for a lot of the same reasons. For her to suddenly be into him like that, there was probably something more malicious going on. Still, what use was he to her? The more he thought about it, the more frustrated he got at his own confusion. Eventually, he turned to Clo. "Let her go. I'll talk to her." He walked up to the girl, staring her straight into the eye. "So, why me? Wouldn't Nine, Clotilde, or even Gwen suite your needs better?" He kept his question as vague as he could manage, waiting for her response. Despite his best attempt to not let it show, a tint of frustration could be heard in his voice.

The trip to Icecrown was uneventful. Tianzi kept attempting to start small talks with the rest of the group, but the strain of travel seemed to make them not really bothering for it. Nevertheless, he kept his upbeat self throughout the journey, only being beaten by the annoyingly chatty Dragonite. It was quite uncomfortable but far from the worst he had experienced, so he's still able to keep his cheerfulness for the most part. After three days they arrived on the feet of the mountain, and the Dragonite decided to just drop them all there. Oh well. It's not like Flying-types could feasibly fly in this weather. Tianzi could feel the cold already creeping on her arms.

"...What's that?"

"Oh, a welcoming comittee! How splendid! The natives surely had quite the manners to prepare such a warm welcome for us."

Well, there seemed to be a group of Sneasels in the distance near the base of the mountain. They didn't seem to be powerful individually, but Tianzi knew from experience what weaklings in a group could achieve. And of course, they proved to be hostile as they went on the offensive the moment the group went past them. Scarlet was already ahead of him in regard to performing a counter attack, and not really wanting to be left behind, Tianzi used Teleport the moment she noticed a Sneasel was creeping in on him, just to reappear before another Sneasel. Clenching his fist, Tianzi read the movement of her opponent and struck the Sneasel's groin with a Sucker Punch just as it went for an attack.

"Ohoho, free warm up! All of you really know how to greet people in a cold wasteland like this! I tip my nonexistent hats to all of you, good sirs. Although, I am afraid that I would not be capable of returning you to your mothers once we are done here.

In which case, I hope you like spending the night sleeping in the snow."

After finishing those words, Tianzi turned around just in time as another Sneasel attacked, and punched them in the groin too with Sucker Punch the moment she noticed their attack.

"How does that feel, young one? Perhaps you would like it with more crunching?"

Clotilde hardened her grip (and unconsciously, her expression) on the girl's shoulders, but upon Lok's instruction, released her. Her hand lingered just above for a moment, hesitant to let herself go from this situation. "Do be careful." But she had faith that Lok would handle it fine now. She waited not a moment later, Clotilde retreated her hand and rushed into the arena. Whatever it was Fiona was aiming to do, she would have to concern herself with it later. Up ahead, the sounds of battle intensified.

Past the hallway that led to the arena proper, Clotilde spotted Gwen leaning at the edge of the entrance and rushed towards her. She shot out a projectile into the arena, so Clotilde surmised she was assisting Nine. "Apologies for the lateness."

Looking in, she saw three combatants. Nine was fighting against a Zebstrika, with a Charizard standing nearby. That was all she saw before they all sped up and the clashes intensified. Amidst those was an exchange of dialogue between the two men, barely audible from where the two stood. It was a fight too intense, she had no room to enter, she could only behold for the first time in her life what genuine conflict was. Evidently Nine looked like he was dying and so did the Charizard girl, neither matched up evenly against the Zebstrika, yet in her eyes they seemed almost equal. Then, a split. The Charizard lady from earlier rushed in. And then Nine himself timed a Flamethrower feint. A clash.

Location: Forest (Day ??)

Poké: 290

Inventory: Poke Puff Bag (empty), Berry Case (contains 5x Spelon Berries), Left Hand (broken)

The travels since Kah's almost-death hadn't been comfortable. The lady in charge didn't talk much, sometimes didn't eat, and always seemed off in her own little world. And then, of course, there was Edgelord she was stuck traveling with. Being surrounded by a bug on one side and a fairy on the other...what was next, would Ankou pick up an Ice-type to work for her? It didn't help knowing that both of these people were far stronger than she was.

Eventually, however, Edgelord presented her with a question. He seemed to really want to know just what Kah was doing here. I'm here for a lot of reasons, really. Best to answer anyway. She didn't like her new co-worker by any means, but that didn't mean she could just keep her lips sealed about everything. If he wanted to fight, Kah wasn't winning by any means. She was down a hand, and those bug attacks would cleave right through her. And so, Kah answered, opening up with "A lot of reasons. The big one though, is I want power. And to keep you from those whelps I was running around with. If I find that other Salamence twin, I'd like to see him dead. Though, there's also one that has nothing to do with power. I'd like to meet Reshiram. But that story has nothing to do with joining up with our boss here."

Location: On a boat bound for Mioter (Team Neo Not Dark, Day 24)

Poké: 800

Inventory: Dusk Stone, Moo Moo Milk x3

Water swirled. Boats moved. Fawkes prepared to meet her watery grave. Easter...sang? This isn't a time to burst out in song! However, as Easter sang, the whirlpools around the boat began to stop. The water was calming down. Was it because of the singing?

“What… what was that?”

However, before long, a column of water shot upward in front of the boat. And from it, a gijinka emerged. He was unlike anything Fawkes had seen before, but there was no mistaking that he was definitely powerful. Fawkes could just feel it; there was something about this guy that was similar to Deoxys, to Thundurus...even to Kyurem. Another legendary gijinka? How many of these guys would the group run into? Fawkes just wanted to live a quiet life now that she was out of Deku!

"You, you are not Meloetta. They are the only one I taught my song to. How do you know it? And all of you. You each have the Aura of my kind about you. Are you Chasers? Or, perhaps, something more sinister?"

"I'm a potato!"

Fawkes internally rolled her eyes at Dora's answer. She was a bit jealous of the girl's oblivious nature. Brooke was the next to answer.

“We’re no Chasers, at least the majority of us aren’t. We stopped him, and decided to head for Mioter. We don’t want any trouble. We just want to pass through here, I swear.”

"I also am not a Chaser. although my story is a bit more... complex than hers. I am looking for my younger brother, who I was separated from over ten years ago. I joined a group that took me to... A certain place, where we met Xerneas under attack from a Godslayer. It was... a long and confusing battle, but in the end, no lives were lost. Xerneas then teleported me to where a dragon named Kyurem and another legend were battling. I met these people there, and we are now headed for Mioter,. f you need proof of my meeting with Xerneas, she taught me the move Aromatherapy before we parted ways."

Denku then started to create a sweet-smelling wind. Something about the scent did wonders to bring Fawkes back down to earth from her earlier panic. It was a smell of "everything's okay now" if she had to put it in words. She'd have to learn that skill herself if she could. Now that she was able to think a bit more clearly, it occurred to the small Zorua that answering this grand gijinka's question was probably a good idea. She didn't want to look suspicious, after all! And so, Fawkes began making her way to the front of the boat where she could get a closer look at the thing, before answering "I'm not a Chaser either, and I don't want to be; I'd rather be back in Deku, with no crazy-powerful gijinkas appearing out of nowhere. I'm just trying to figure out where I'm going with life right now, and Mioter's our next stop. Please let us pass."

Three not-chasers and apparently a potato. Perfectly harmless, right?

The ride up had been rather annoying, seeing as how they're new-found team member was trying to make small talk with the group.  However, Taiga was not in the mood for small talk, and preferred to try and drift to sleep.  It seemed like forever since she last closed her eyes.  When the chariot rattled around, her unconscious body rattled around the cage, and her face was met with cold steel.  She left the chariot with a rather large red mark on her face.  She turned back to salute the dragonite, but their ride had long since been gone.  At the base of Mt. Icecrown, the cold air started to seep into her skin.  The moisture in her skin caused her to tense up a bit...this was a bad idea, but hindsight was 20/20.

"After this, we need a vacation..."  She sighed.

"...What's that?"

Isole pointed to a group of Gijinka, seemingly guarding passage towards Icecrown.  Without warning, that small group of Sneasal attacked them.  Scarlet and Tianzi both jumped into the fray immediately, each dealing rather precise blows against the enemies with simple attacks.  Tianzi especially was rather...

"How does that feel, young one? Perhaps you would like it with more crunching?"

Let's just say, Taiga wasn't even feeling that vicious this day.  It made her cringe at the site of the Sneasal being hit in the groin.  Taiga was quick to turn her head towards a Sneasal who was now running towards her.  She sighed again, before jumping up as the sneasal tried to land a quick slash attack.  She landed directly on top of it's head, light as a feather.  She didn't even feel like wasting pp on these guys.  Instead, she raised her leg up and slammed a heel into the back of the Gijinka's head.

"Fufufu...out of our way kiddies...go play security somewhere else."

Ari held his breath, waiting for Mac's answer. But it wasn't the kind of answer he had feared. "No...I just knew." She stood up and put her fists on her hips. "I dunno about you but I did do some research about the Legends before starting this. Keldeo is sorta um...obscure but it seemed to add up." She grinned at Kazo. "Impressed yet? I bet I know loads that you don't. That's why I'm the leader...Even if we're only a group of three now...A-anyway it's not like we need more. We're a lean mean fighting machine on our own!" She glanced over at Ari at that. "Once Latias wakes up we should get back to the inn and rest up; we'll be heading out of here tomorrow."

"Pretty sure I just said that," Kazo muttered as he shook his head. "Well, whatever. It's good to have you back Mac," He looked down at Ari, petting his head some more. "I'm probably going to go shopping before bed tonight though... gotta make sure we got supplies and everything...," He looked over to Mac. "So... I already asked Ari this, but what's your family like? Since you're the leader, I should know about the people that made her who she is."

Ari kept quiet throughout all of this. Really, he didn't care at the moment. What did Mac's family have to do with the fact that things had gone pear-shaped? Nothing. All he wanted to do was sleep and try to forget he was on this...this madman's journey! To forget...and imagine himself home. He'd even take his mother's nagging and his father's disappointed look over this feeling.

Easter blinked as he heard Dora singing next to him. That was actually pretty cute. His lips quirked up, but he kept singing. Until a gijinka he had never thought he'd meet arose from the depths. It all came together at that moment. To think he'd have such an opportunity, and so soon. He bared his teeth in delight, though the aches of his body told him it was too soon.

The gijinka frowned at him. "You, you are not Meloetta. They are the only one I taught my song to. How do you know it?" The gijinka glanced at the others. "And all of you. You each have the Aura of my kind about you. Are you Chasers? Or, perhaps, something more sinister?"

"I'm a potato!"

...Is this kid for real? No, wait, that wasn't the point. The point was that he had already met a legendary and hadn't realized it. Meloetta. To think the Kirlia was actually the goddess of music herself. Easter felt a bit impressed at how much he had been fooled. If he had known who she really was, would he have tried to protect her like he had? Or would he have fought her alongside the Camerupt? I'm glad I didn't, though. If he had, he wouldn't have managed to land this big fish.

“We’re no Chasers,” Brooke started, and then looked over at Easter and added, “at least the majority of us aren’t.

Easter shifted his feet. This was a chance he could not miss. This was one of the more reclusive legendaries, even the old myths said that it took quite a lot to flush him out. He was about to open his mouth and challenge him to a fight when the Pupitar spoke from behind him, causing the fairy type to turn slightly to face him.

"I also am not a Chaser. although my story is a bit more... complex than hers," Denku stated, folding his arms. "I am looking for my younger brother, who I was separated from over ten years ago. I joined a group that took me to...," He paused. "A certain place, where we met Xerneas under attack from a Godslayer. It was... a long and confusing battle, but in the end, no lives were lost. Xerneas then teleported me to where a dragon named Kyurem and another legend were battling. I met these people there, and we are now headed for Mioter," He paused again. "If you need proof of my meeting with Xerneas, she taught me the move Aromatherapy before we parted ways," He said, closing his eyes.

Soon after, a sweet-smelling wind, one that Easter recognized as the aforementioned move, wafted over the group. That...was not a move Pupitar could naturally learn. It seemed he was telling the truth. The Sylveon felt a brief flash of envy, before his mood calmed. He started to get second thoughts about attacking Lugia. It was true, the group was exhausted, maybe his match would have to be postponed or canceled indefinitely.

"I'm not a Chaser either, and I don't want to be; I'd rather be back in Deku, with no crazy-powerful gijinkas appearing out of nowhere. I'm just trying to figure out where I'm going with life right now, and Mioter's our next stop. Please let us pass."

Easter sighed, glancing down at Fawkes. Well, looks like the ayes have it, he thought with a pang of disappointment. "I'm a Chaser, myself," he announced, a hint of pride lacing his voice. "But I'm not in the best shape to fight right now. None of us are," he gestured at the others. "Though, I wouldn't mind having a match with you in the future," he said, before remembering what the man had said about the song. "As for the song...I was taught it. By a Kirlia, who was probably Meloetta in disguise," he blinked. "She taught it to a few of us, Fawkes' old mentor included," he nodded at the fox, "for saving her from what I had assumed to be just some crazy gijinka murderer." As he spoke, the gears started to turn in his head, and he stared at the man in front of him in suspicion. "Now that I think about it, I'm not sure if he knew her true identity or not."

Yuffie woke to whispered words saying...saying that, her darling was leaving! She hopped up just in time to see the Dragonite from earlier fly off with some sort of cage and the gijinka from earlier in it. Pouting at being left behind, she then turned around to see that Veronica was nowhere in sight.

The Fletchling turned about here and there, expression frantic. "No! I can't believe I lost track of the love of my life! This is not good!" she wailed. Soon, she was off in a rush, features determined. I have to find her, no, I have to save her.

"Whoa! This is your place Morgan? That's super cool!"

Morgan blushed at Marie's words, but the happy mood soon dissipated with the arrival of her parents and her father's accusation.

"Whoa, that sounds pretty cool," Marie said. "But, I've never heard of them before either. So, we probably aren't those."

"It is not 'cool!' It is a barbaric and imbecilic practice! Nothing but ignorant fools chasing after myths," Lewis the Espeon snapped, before breathing in. His expression was a lot less hostile. "So you are not Chasers, then," he muttered, "Still, to have never heard of them before..." he shook his head, "You are lucky for it."

"Well, we're not even from here," Keanu explained. "We're from Alola. Our home got attacked so we fled on a ship and came here."

"Alola?" Catherine the Flareon spoke, expression intrigued. "I think I've heard of that place."

"What are you doing here then?" the Espeon pointed at his surroundings.

"Well, cuz they just got off the boat, they have no place to stay! Sooo," Morgan started, eyes wide and pleading. "Can they stay? Pleeeeease pretty please? Pretty please with ice cream on top and chocolate syrup and--!"

"Enough," her father snapped. "You disgrace yourself carrying on so. And what did I tell you about sweets?"

"That they're bad for you and give you cavities," the Eevee mumbled.

"Keep that in mind. As for these people," he cast a suspicious eye on them before sighing. "At the very least, they are not Chasers, but they do not look trustworthy either."

"Yes, their clothes are filthy," the Flareon sniffed, bringing a scented handkerchief to her nose. "Dear, can we throw them out yet?"

The Pikachu stared at the two with growing annoyance. "We're perfectly fine leaving if you dudes are gonna talk stink about us like this."

"No, no," Lewis sighed. "I would be shaming the family creed were I to turn you away without question." He paused, "But before you do anything, you are all to take baths."

Keanu rolled his eyes at that, but said nothing. As long as he got to sleep sometime tonight, he was fine. Plus, a little water never hurt anybody.

The group was quickly frogmarched to two separate bathrooms: Keanu and Randy to one, Marie to another. The bathrooms were just as elegant as the rest of the house, a circular tub large enough to hold multiple people set into the floor of each one. Preston, who had served as a guide to the baths for the men, quickly filled up the tub and gave them two towels with which to dry themselves off afterward. Danielle did the same for Marie, and then the two bowed before exiting the room, informing the gijinka they'd be nearby if needed. Keanu noticed that the water was steaming and strewn with rose petals, which caused him to raise a brow but otherwise dismissed that as a strange rich person thing.

Keanu quickly stripped and jumped in, uncaring that he was getting water everywhere. "Ho brah, this is pretty amazing," he said. "Come on in!" then he remembered that his companion was both a cat and a fire type. "Unless you're too much of a scaredy-Litten," he teased, eyes glittering with mischief. Whatever Randy did, Keanu would begin to scrub himself down with a pink soap that smelled of roses.

Marie, meanwhile, would find Morgan waiting for her outside the bathroom when she got done. "You done yet?" she asked. "Oooh, you're all wet. Oh, oh, lemme show you around! We can get your friends too!" she would then drag Marie to the mens' bathroom, where the other two were exiting. "Oh, you're done too then! Wanna explore? We've got some pretty cool places I can show you! Like the kitchen, or the basement--that's where the servants live! Or the attic! It's pretty dusty up there though. Or the gallery, but that's kind of boring, just a bunch of pictures and some family tree thing. Or the conservatory! Well it's mainly just to soak in the sun. Or the ballroom! But it's just a big open space, so it's kind of boring unless you wanna practice your attacks there. Or the dining room! Or the billiard room! It's got uhh stuffy old men games. Or the library, though it's kind of stuffy there too. Just a bunch of books. Or the music room. Or my secret training room!" she finished rattling off a list of places rather excitedly, before her ears drooped slightly. "Or, uhh, I can just show you to where you'll sleep tonight."

"It is not 'cool!' It is a barbaric and imbecilic practice! Nothing but ignorant fools chasing after myths. So you are not Chasers, then. Still, to have never heard of them before... You are lucky for it."

First Arena Champions and now Chasers? The culture on Adarid sounded like a totally different world from what Alola was like. Nevertheless, Randy continued to listen to the Espeon and Flareon...only to see the Espeon snap at Morgan and even giving them a suspicious eye, while the Flareon was just apparently wanting to just cast them out like they were nothing.

Tch...is that how these gijinkas treat visitors? Randy thought, wanting to just shout at them, but did his best to calm his nerves. Not like we asked to be dropped here...the boat was at the mercy of the waves...

"We're perfectly fine leaving if you dudes are gonna talk stink about us like this."

"No, no. I would be shaming the family creed were I to turn you away without question. But before you do anything, you are all to take baths."

Well at least this couple was a bit more understanding than the Gloom they dealt with earlier. On second thought, Randy didn't want to think about that, quickly disregarding that thought as they were marched up towards the bathrooms. "Thank you, sir." Randy answered, giving at least a respectful bow towards Lewis before following. He might've been a wrestler, but he wasn't without the manners he was taught.

x393wz.jpg

"Ho brah, this is pretty amazing,"

Keanu was right, as Randy took in the scenery of this pretty expensive looking bathroom. He hadn't seen something like this before, and to be honest, he really didn't care too much. He just wanted to be done and out...

"Come on in! Unless you're too much of a scaredy-Litten,"

The Incineroar heard the young Pikachu say this, his left eye twitching slightly as Keanu could possibly see quite the vein popping out of Randy's forehead. "Keanu...you're lucky we're in an expensive lookin' bathroom. Otherwise I probably would've supplexed your tail into that tub." he growled lowly, already putting his clothes off to the side and stepping into the tub, only to gently smack the back of Keanu's head with his left hand. "Oops...my hand must've slipped." he chuckled. "To be fair...you deserved that."

This bath was the worst for Randy. All this rosey smelling soaps and whatnot was just not cool. Nevertheless, he didn't want Morgan's "loving parents" to get pissy. Yeah...loving is what I'd call em...not stuck up...or rich pri- he thought, shaking his head. Not the best time to want to just think this stuff.

After he scrubbed himself down with this...rosey smelling soap, he exited right behind Keanu. He smelt like a literal rosebush...it WASN'T something that a wrestler should've been smelling like. Randy was just thankful no one from the federation was here. Or else he would've gotten ragged on badly.

"Wanna explore? Or my secret training room! Or, uhh, I can just show you to where you'll sleep tonight."

Randy was surprised by the overall energetic personality that Morgan had right now. It was like they didn't have any visitors like this before. Then again...given how her father was acting and talking, that miiiiiiight just be the case. he thought, before finally deciding to chime in. "If you don't mind Morgan...the dining room might be the best option. I mean, we haven't had a decent meal in a while. Only the leftover rations from the boat and some roasted shark."

Marie was quite off put by Morgan's parents. They didn't seem like very nice people and she wasn't exactly fond of the way that they were treating Morgan. After all, parents should only get snippy when the child was getting out of hand, and Morgan was only being nice. However, as they seemed to be letting them stay for the night at their place, Marie wasn't about to scold them. Then she'd be the ungrateful and rude one, and chastising oneself was never a fun time. As such, while she held back she still seemed to have an annoyed expression across her face when they were let in. Walking through the mansion, Marie was still astounded at the sights she saw, but didn't get much time to take them all in as one of the servants had hurried her along to the bath. While Marie wasn't entirely sure that she wanted to bathe in a stranger's house right away, this feeling soon went away as her eyes went wide at the sight of the room she'd be bathing in.

As the tub filled with water, Marie couldn't help but continue to stay amazed by the size of the tub, the elegance of the room and the fact that there were rose petals in the water. She never thought about adding Rose Petals to the water before, but clearly the rich people had to be onto something since it seemed super cool. She briefly mused if they had their own rose garden solely for this purpose, but didn't dwell on it much longer as she dove into the water. It had been awhile since she had last soaked herself, having not wanted to jump into the water while they were at sea. It was a nice relaxing feeling that Marie simply wanted to just drift around in for the hours to come. Despite this, though, after a few minutes of simply floating around the girl eventually got to getting herself clean.

Once she had finished and got herself prepared to go back out, she was then greeted by Morgan. Before Marie could even answer her question, Marie then let out an "ah!" in surprise as she was forcibly dragged through the halls, where they eventually ran into Randy and Keanu. Morgan then went to rattle off a large list of a different places that were in her house, that only seemed to fascinate the young popplio even more as she had never had a friend who had quite as much stuff to do as Morgan. Randy eventually talked about getting something to eat, since they hadn't really done that yet, to which Marie nodded and said, "yeah. Oh, Morgan, have you ever had shark before? It's a lot better than you'd think." There was a slight pause before she said, "it's still not great, but it's better than you'd think."

Team Neo Not Dark, Day 24, Water Route to Mioter

Lugia took in the answers, face remaining passive. Though he did narrow his eyes a bit towards Dora at the start. "Thundurus, Meloetta, Xerneas...even Kyurem, a name I have not heard in...many years." He looked to the sky. "As I rested so many have been attacked. Is Ho-Oh..." He stopped and glanced back at the group. "For non-Chasers you have met many of my kind. And yet the only one...most of you fought was Kyurem..."

Glancing at Easter. "You have strength. Entei and Kyurem; both were defeated by you. We will fight some time so I may test your worth. For now, all of our strength must be saved for what is to come."

To Brooke. "You've lost much in a short time period. I will speak to Thundurus next I see him. His anger has gotten the best of him too many times."

To Denku. "Earning Xerneas's favor is not easily done. Your heart must be strong even if not physically. That will take you far."

To Fawkes. "Bravery is something that comes in the moment. You would do well to remember that."

To Dora. "Your mind is an enigma but your blood speaks to me. If you wish to return home you would do well to look to the North. I sense him in you; but it is faint."

His shoulders relaxed upon speaking and he landed on the deck. There was a wound, seemingly from long ago, across his back and shoulder. It kept him from staying aloft for long and he now was forced to set foot on the deck. "There is no malice in most of you. And the malice in the Sylveon is not towards us. I will let you pass. But know this. Nowhere is completely safe. Mioter has been spared much of this, in part due to my barriers, but there is always potential for corruption. Continue if you wish but know there will be a day when we may all have to put our lives on the line. And I fear that day is fast approaching."

He looked down at his hands and his hands clenched into fists. "I made a promise. Not to fight to the death again. Will I break that promise? Could I even bring myself to do it? Ah...I have lived for so long; I have almost begun to seek advice from children." He gave a dry chuckle. "Remember, everyone, the choice is always yours. Fate exists only if you will it."

Team Showdown, Day 25, Icecrown

One of the Sneasel Scarlet attacked went down from the Bullet Punch to the forehead, but the other hung in there. Two of the other Sneasel were clutching at their private parts, cursing Tianzi and, recovering soon later, attacking with Icy Wind from a crotch-safe distance.

The Sneasel Taiga attacked hadn't expected such a maneuver and fell to the ground from the blow to his head. They cracked their skull on the ground and lay there, unconscious.

Isole had stayed near the back and as such the Sneasel didn't target her. However she did shoot out a Thunderbolt that finished off the Sneasel that Scarlet had punched earlier.

She let out a sigh and a shrug. There was something she could do to hopefully speed things along. Though she knew she'd not be the favorite person here if she did that.

Oh well, same old. Her eyes glowed a bit as a wind whipped up, and Isole launched a Blizzard attack that would do minor damage to each of the Sneasel, but also, if they didn't dodge or brace themselves, her own group.

The Sneasel caught in the Blizzard would slow their assault, except for two of them who went for Tianzi. She was now facing two Icy Wind attacks and a pair of Sneasel attacking from both sides. Their bodies would blur out somewhat as they went in for a Feint Attack that would be difficult to dodge.

Team Mac, Day 15, Southshore

"So... I already asked Ari this, but what's your family like? Since you're the leader, I should know about the people that made her who she is,"

Mac raised her eyebrow. A strange time to be asking for something like that. Then again...looking over at Ari, maybe they did need a bit of a change.

She shrugged, putting her hands on the back of her head and absently kicking at the dirt. "It's nothing special really. My parents are just normal people, didn't have siblings, and had one camel...wonder if they ever got him back in the pen...They didn't really pay much attention anyway. Dunno if they'd even realized I left for a few days." She shrugged again. "Heroes come from all kinds of backgrounds right? Just cause mine's boring doesn't mean I can't live an exciting life."

Latias finally stirred, starting to wake up, and at that moment Melody came into view. "Hey, heeeey, what's going on?" She wasn't quite there yet and she wouldn't be able to see Latias. And something told Mac it wouldn't be pleasant once she got there.

-------

Kah

"Hmph, that all?" Edgelord said with a dramatic sigh. "So boring...Don't get in my way with that attitude or I'll cut you down, hear me? Still not happy that you cheated in our duel..."

Team Karaoke, Day 20, Adarid City

Jabari dodged easily out of the way of Vita's Focus Punch. However as she missed her wings gave a single, hard, flap and a blade of air slashed towards the Zebstrika. It landed right before Nine's Flamethrower and, flinching, Jabari was unable to brace himself for the Flamethrower.

With a cry, Jabari slammed his feet into the ground. All the electrical energy that had been built up exploded outward in dozens of powerful shockwaves. The flashes of the lights made it hard to see while the attack went off.
Vita was struck down by the blow and crashed into the ground. And, though he wasn't taken down, Nine would feel his body suffering a minor paralysis.

However something was odd about that. Nine would be able to tell he didn't take the full force of the blow. The answer why would be apparent when his vision cleared and Gwen would be seen in front of him. Her body crackled as the electricity made its way through her body. There was an...unusual look to her. A nasty expression. And a dark Aura.

Nearby Clotilde, who would have also felt some slight damage from the power of the attack, would notice a wooden bowl nearby filled with a salty, popped, snack food.

----

Fiona shuddered as Clotilde left. In the past she would have tore out the other girl's throat but now...why did she feel so weak?

"So, why me? Wouldn't Nine, Clotilde, or even Gwen suite your needs better?"

Lok wasn't very subtle, was he? It seemed that he was trying to get her to slip up. To admit she's using him. Well two can play that game...."W-what? Do...you want to pawn me off to one of them? Am I being that much of a pain? Oh gosh I shouldn't have done anything why do I always muck all this up." She bit her lip, refusing to look directly at Lok, while secretly watching him.

Denku listened to what Lugia had to say, and some of it really surprised him. Apparently Easter fought and won against Entei. That was a bit of a shock for him, to say the least. Brooke also apparently met Thundurus, whoever that was, and she lost a lot because of it. Was it a legend? Why would such a powerful group let loose cannons roam around and do as they please?

He wasn't sure what to think, honestly. Maybe this was why Jabari wanted to kill them all? Because they were dangerous? That was the wrong way to think about it though, wasn't it? What was a legend? Who was to say they were a group? For all he knew, they just 'became' one, and didn't keep up with the others. That would make sense. It wasn't their responsibility, not really.

"Earning Xerneas's favor is not easily done. Your heart must be strong even if not physically. That will take you far." Denku looked up as he heard Lugia speak to him. He didn't do anything to earn her favor. He screwed up, so badly. But, he was taught a move, so he supposed he had to do something right.

Lugia landed on the deck, Denku noticing a large scar on his shoulders. It looked so painful. And I fear that day is fast approaching." He looked down at his hands and his hands clenched into fists.

Denku closed his eyes. No where was safe, huh? That's what he was afraid of. He could hope beyond hope that Kazo could take care of himself, but... He just didn't know, not anymore. Those Godslayers were strong, and Kazo had a good heart... Which made him an idiot. He would rather kill himself than see someone die. He almost wanted to tell Lugia that he despised needless death, that killing for the sake of killing made him sick. However, there were truly evil people in the world, one that honestly, could only kill in order to keep people safe.

It wasn't his place to say, however, so he decided to keep quiet.

Just cause mine's boring doesn't mean I can't live an exciting life." Kazo nodded, surprisingly listening to her words. So, for what he could gather, Mac's parents really ignored her. Busy with work, not wanting a child but having one anyways? He wasn't sure, but he thought it explained a few things.

Like how she always wanted to be the center of attention, or how she wanted to be a leader. Neglected much? Then again, Kazo was pretty neglected, and he wasn't like Mac. He supposed that was a good thing though.

There as only one Mac.

Latias started to wake up, but at the same time Melody appeared in their sights. Kazo had a really bad feeling, like a super bad one. This wouldn't end well, not at all. Still, what was more important was Latias's current...well, not mental state. That was important, yes, but he knew it couldn't be good.

"Hey, how you feeling?" He asked her softly. She was just waking up, being loud wouldn't be good. Which he knew Mac and Melody would be. He looked over at Ari, before moving him off of his lap. "Sorry, buddy, but we're going to have to deal with this storm. Then we'll get ya to a bed, okay?" He said as he rubbed Ari's head before standing up. He had a really bad feeling about this, but he had to make sure Mac wouldn't make this bad situation worse.
