Team Showdown - Icecrown

Taiga grinned in victory, as the big lug began to wail in pain.  That's what he deserved for being so stupid as to get into a fight with the mighty Taiga!  She could only laugh, with a mouthful of arm, as the Abomasnow tried desperately to flail it's arms fast and hard enough to dislodge her serrated teeth from it.  In another attempt to get the sharpeedo from jumping ship, the giant gijinka let forth a howling wind that bit at Taiga's skin.  It wasn't doing a lot of damage, but frost was starting to settle over her body, making her a bit heavier, and slow.  The monster's swings were making her dizzy, almost unaware of the fact that it was making its move to slam her into the side of the cavern.

She noticed at the last second, but due to the frost accumulating on her body, she wasn't fast enough to dislodge her vicegrip on the Abomasnow's arm.  Taiga was crashed into the icy wall, losing her breath in the process, and letting go of the Abomasnow, losing a couple of teeth in the process.  As she slunk down the side of the wall, her breathing became heavy.

"Aw cripes..."  She huffed, wiping some spittle from her mouth.  Clenching her stomach, she started to stand back up.  She motioned for the Abomasnow to come closer, to bring it all on.  "I ain't through with you yet, Ugly.  Not by a long shot.  You're gonna have to pay for what ya did to me, and I only accept Poke stained in blood!  FUFUFU!"  She raced off towards the Abomasnow, starting to pick up speed again, as a tower of water started to form underneath her feet, attempting to crash into the Gijinka with a moving torrent of water.

Upon arriving at the location where the patrons of the beach mentioned there was a Legendary, Randy stood there, staring at the gijinka in question. Hair fiery red, eyes filled with a fire that he hadn't seen many Fire Types have...and a large bloody wound on her side. The Incineroar was curious on what happened to this woman and prepared to go up and confront her...

However...

"Excuse me young lady. What do you think you're doing? This is a family place, and you are outside. There are kids wondering around too! You can't just around cursing with words like that all over the place! It's not polite and no one's going to take you seriously if all you do is say vulgar things, and it's not good for the kids too! and another thing. Walking around with open wounds is not a good thing, and can lead to aggravating or infecting the wounded area. You should go see a medical professional to go get that treated. Or an adult. Oh, or me! I'm good at treating wounds too."

Randy's jaw just completely dropped as he saw Marie just going off and talking to this Legendary like this. She obviously had a death wish or was just too innocent to even care. He gulped a bit and then saw Keanu approaching the Legendary, hoping that things would be calm at this point.

"Don't mind my little friend here. She's a little mother hen, but she's right, you should get that wound looked at. It might be better to get that treated before you do anything else."

After Keanu said this, it was obvious the Legendary was upset...pissed even. She flared up quickly as she stared at the two. sheet! he thought, already making his way towards the other two.

"Don't tell me what to mind or not. Who the hell do you think I am? My name is Moltres and I'm a Legend understand? If I mind something it's damn well important. And you. I've earned my right to swear. You think this thing feels nice? But fine, you think you can treat my wounds? Do it. And if you mess up I'll just have to punish you."

Randy made his way up to the trio at this point, taking a stand behind the group. "Sweet Arceus you two..." he groaned before looking at Moltres and clearing his throat. "I apologize for them, ma'am." he said in both a nervous and sheepish manner. "Marie here is quite the spirited young Popplio. And Keanu, well he's just looking out for her."

He did notice the last part of the sentence that Moltres said. Randy looked down at Marie quickly and gulped a bit. Oh Arceus...Solgaleo...someone! Please let this little Popplio be able to heal Moltres! he thought, silently praying to however many Legendaries he needed to now.

"Well, I won't be able to give a full treatment without some medicine. Hmm," the Popplio mused before looking at the guards and asking, "do you guys have any on you?" As the guards seemed to be rather unhelpful with her plight, the girl pouted and looked to Randy and Keanu asking, with a tone that wasn't expecting much, "how about you guys?"

Randy looked at Marie and quickly nodded. He had almost forgot about the Full Restores he had! "I got something that may help." he said, before moving to the backpack that was on his back, pulling out one of his Full Restores. He crouched down and handed it to Marie. "No worries, Marie...you got this." As the Incineroar slowly stood up, he glanced at Moltres' wound again, before sighing. "If I may be so bold as to ask...what...what happened to you?"

Marie was delighted to see that the legendary was willing to let her treat her, though, looking at the wound it seemed far more serious than what she was expecting. This would definitely require a doctor. Or Marie, with some mean first aid gear that she did not have on her. She began to think aloud on the issue at hand. "Well, I won't be able to give a full treatment without some medicine. Hmm," the Popplio mused before looking at the guards and asking, "do you guys have any on you?" As the guards seemed to be rather unhelpful with her plight, the girl pouted and looked to Randy and Keanu asking, with a tone that wasn't expecting much, "how about you guys?" When Randy presented her with some, one that made Marie look in shock a bit at the quality of it, she was surprised but said, "thanks Randy!"

Looking back to the girl who went by the name of "Moltres" Marie rubbed her hands together and said, "let the treatment begin!" Needing to clean the wound first, the girl created a bit of water on her hand and moved it towards Moltres. Knowing that it probably wouldn't be pleasant, the girl said, "well, this'll probably sting a bit."

As she ran the water over it, cleaning the blood off, Moltres seemed to get angry at her shouting, "I'm a Fire type dammit"

Stopping midway through, Marie pouted and said, "well I can't clean without water! And I'm the doctor so you'll deal with it." After she managed to finish cleaning off the wound, it didn't seem quite as horrifying as before, yet it still needed something applied to it to prevent the wound from getting worse. Taking the full restore she got from Randy, Marie then said, "ok, this'll definitely sting a bit." After having sprayed the wound with the Full Restore, Marie then knew the next step was getting a band-aid over it...but she didn't have a band-aid. The girl stopped to think for a moment and then realized what she did have. Unbuttoning her fancy long-sleeve dress shirt, the girl took it off, revealing the plain white t-shirt underneath it. Raveling it up, the girl then tied it around Moltres's waist, covering the whole thing up.

Wincing a bit in pain from the fabric touching her wound, she let out a small growl a bit. "You call that healing? Dammit this hurts. I said I'd punish you if you screwed this up so here we go." What came next was not something either Marie nor the legend were probably expecting.

Moltres simply did a small flick to her forehead, and though it looked to be just an effortless flick, the force behind it sent Marie recoiling back in pain. Stepping back a bit, the girl clutched her head as a pounding headache resounded through her, and tears started to form in her eyes. The girl started to shake, seeming to be on the verge of crying, feeling a bit bullied after only trying to be helpful. Yet she was a big girl, and big girls didn't cry, so she held back as best she could. Knowing that treatment wasn't complete, the girl merely pulled out an Oran Berry that she had. "Th-that was very rude and you shouldn't harm your local doctor!" Handing the berry over to the legend she then said, "he-here. Eating healthy is also a part of recovery."

Moltres mumbled, "Arceus I didn't hit you that hard," while taking the berry, looking away from Marie as she chewed on it.

With a still throbbing headache, the girl continued to rub her head, though proudly stated, "the treatment is done!"

"Yeah yeah. I still need to get in there." she hooked a thumb over at the mansion. "AND YOU PUNKS BETTER NOT TRY AND STOP ME." She yelled to the mercenaries.

While Nine and Gwendoline might have shared differences in opinion on fighting, even he thought that Victini was being a bit overzealous in trying to get Lok and Fiona to fight. Not only would that have been pointless, but Nine figured that Lok wouldn't be able to fight his way out of his own bed sheets. And if what Victini had said had any validity to it, Fiona seemed to be a lot stronger then she tried to let on. As the legend then brought up Jabari and asked what his fate should be, Nine said, "keep him alive. He's about in poor condition as the rest of us and, I don't think he'll really be in the mood to fight just now." While Nine had questions for the Zebstrika, he more so felt that merely letting him be killed would be a great hypocrisy and something that would sit incredibly poorly with the Houndoom. With a coy smile Nine then said, "besides, I think he gave you quite a bit of entertainment, so no harm no foul to you really." Bringing himself to his feet, slowly, Nine prepared himself for the inevitable trouble that he was likely to be in from his decision.

Lok wiped away a tear that had formed, smiling at the rest of his group. They were clearly injured from whatever fight they had here, but they were safe. As the group declined the strange gijinka's request - something about fighting - they seemed to become displeased with the answer given. "Ehhhhh? But she's all healthy. And I can tell she's had her share of fights before. Oh I know, you, Rotom, and you, Drapion, you should fight! I haven't seen enough yet and most of the fights were so one-sided..." Lok's eyes widened, getting tense at the idea of fighting Fiona. He still remebered exactly how that went last time. The comment about her having her share of fights was a bit disconcerting. Had she tricked other groups before their, fighting violently like she had that day? He shook his head. rejecting the idea. Still, it made Lok think about what the gijinka was trying to imply...

As he was thinking, Gwen responded to the stranger's statement. "No. We are not going to fight for such a reason." Lok nodded his head in agreement. He did not want to go through that again. The stranger seemed displease, but did not pursue the question further, much to Lok's relief. Instead, they walked up to the unconscious gijinka, who seemed to be recovering.

"So what do I do with this one. Kill him? I mean he was coming here to kill me. What do you think?" She asked the group, holding Jabari towards them. "He'll be awake soon and who knows what he'd do then." Lok wasn't sure if his heart could take all of this tension as he began to get nervous again. Judging from not only what he had experienced outside but also from his friend's comments and condition could only mean that the Zebstrika was exceptionally strong. Said gijinka's astronomically built body only served to reinforce Lok's fear of him. Almost instinctively he turned to Nine, who responded to the stranger. Lok nodded his head in agreement, although he found himself hiding behind Gwen without realizing it.

Icecrown Team Showdown

Scarlet kept her eyes locked onto the Greninja as he proceeded to throw Water Shurrikens at Tianzi. She kept them locked on to where he was as he disappeared in smoke, dodging Isole's thunderbolt. "Where the hell..." It was then that she noticed what she had noticed before; it wasn't super obvious, but there was a faint shadow moving across the ground. Just like before when he disappeared. It didn't take Scarlet long to connect the dots as her eyes followed the shadow, which was now dangerously close to Tianzi.

Scarlet dashed to the Xatu as quickly as she could. She manage to get in between the two, raising her good arm to block the attack. She grit her teeth, wincing from pain. However, the attack had been weaker than she had expected. She took her small window of opportunity, tossing the ninja's arm to the side as she dashed towards him. As she closed in, she launched a Bullet Punch towards his direction, aiming it roughly around his chest area.

There was no answer. That worried Ari. If something happened to Kazo, well...he could try to be strong, but there was only so much "strong" a person could be if their big brother died. He still needed to ask the dragon type about that. He was too afraid to ask before, but...maybe Kazo thought of him as a brother too? The worst he could say was...no.

Tiptoeing outside, he saw a dark-haired figure with a...was that a top hat? Well, it was vanishing into the ground, top hat and all. Shortly after, the lion felt something tripping him. Either he had stepped on some particularly grabby root or there was someone there.

He saw Kazo getting hit by some sort of ray which looked dangerous but didn't really seem to do much other than make the Gabite confused.

Ari heard giggling as he saw the figure float off into the night, three very familiar-looking bags over its shoulder. Huh, that looks like my bag--WAIT THAT IS MY BAG! After the flood, all of his money and possessions had been washed away, save the most precious item of all...his King's Rock, the only thing he had left of home.

The lion gritted his teeth. I wouldn't be a true king if I let somebody take that away. Picking himself off the ground, he raced after the figure, yelling out, "Give those back, you thief!" Somehow...this felt familiar. Maybe it was another mischievous pink blobby gijinka? Transformed as...something else? Something weird.

Phineas glared at Easter. "What like a racccce? No thankssss, I don't want nothing to do with you...you...." He glanced at the children. "You tricky...lady...perssson." He seemed confused but tried to act tough.

It was adorable. The innocent ones were always the best. Easter stopped a sadistic grin from forming on his face, belatedly remembering the children and what he had just said around them. Well. Hopefully they would be just as lost as the snake was. "Aww, you wound me, dear knight," he cooed sadly, glancing up at the Seviper from underneath his lashes. "I might have tricked you, but it was all in good fun," he inched closer to the poison type. "You know how to have fun, right?" he whispered.

Sada's words distracted him from further torme--talking with Phineas. "Sure. Let's go Phineas, it's time to get a move on anyway." She walked past and paused next to Brooke. "I don't know if you heard or not. Heather, well, someone hurt her. Hurt her bad. I'm going to find the one who did it, me and that idiot, and hurt them worse. It'd be better for you to stay out of it; just thought you'd want to know."

Heather. The name didn't really ring a bell. Well, it did, vaguely, but he wasn't really sure where he had heard it before. Maybe in Juyu? Brooke had obviously heard it though, as she had promptly performed an about-face in attitude. “Sada, wait!” The Emboar turned around to face her before she could get very far, hesitating before she spoke. “I hadn’t…. I hadn’t heard anything. I lost all my connections after Deku was destroyed. What happened to Heather? Who hurt her?”

Easter listened, slightly interested, but his attention was mostly on Phineas, gauging his reactions to the conversation. I wonder just how much entertainment I can get out of this person?

"Da funk? Don't tell me what to mind or not. Who the hell do you think I am? My name is Moltres and I'm a Legend understand? If I mind something it's damn well important."

Keanu winced. Wow, somebody was a little full of herself. Good looks couldn't make up for a bad attitude, which was too bad, since she was really good-looking. Oh well. The Pikachu shrugged and didn't respond. Guess the Pikachu charm failed here, though I guess I wasn't really trying to be charming. He'd been a bit more worried about Little Blue being incinerated. Thankfully, that didn't happen.

Randy stepped up to play mediator, and then gave a couple Full Restores to Marie to heal Moltres. He had shrugged when the Popplio turned to him for medicine. He didn't carry anything like that on him, though he probably should. Randy's question seemed to have gone unheard, as Moltres was a bit preoccupied with dealing with the pain. She then flicked Marie's forehead, which caused the water type to shake and Keanu to frown, stepping forward. He was about to tell off the fire type for bullying children--even if Marie acted like an adult rather than a child half the time--when he noticed that she seemed surprised herself. Doesn't know her own strength, he thought, chilled. Legendaries...even a tiny flick can cause an immense amount of pain for ordinary gijinka.

A little intimidated, the Pikachu said nothing, but patted Marie on the back. "There, there," he said, somewhat awkwardly but quickly warming to the familiar sensation. "That was pretty cool of ya."

"Yeah yeah. I still need to get in there. AND YOU PUNKS BETTER NOT TRY AND STOP ME."

Keanu's mouth thinned. You're more of a punk than they are, he thought, his earlier goodwill toward her having completely evaporated after her recent actions.

Kazo looked up in time to see a figure firing a beam at him. Suddenly, his vision started to spin. He groaned as he held his head. Why was this happening? He tried to stand up, but he fell to a knee, unable to keep his balance. Looking up, he saw a figure floating away. "Hey! Give us our stuff back!" He snapped, taking a deep breath. However, as he tried to fire off a Dragonbreath, the energy exploded in his face, knocking him down again, and making him see stars. Man, how did he mess up so badly? At least... things couldn't get wor---.

"Give those back, you thief!" Of course they could.

"A-Ari, is that you? Stop! It's too dangerous to go alone!" He said, struggling to his feet. Through his messed up vision, he could see an Ari shaped blob running further away from him. He ran, doing his best to keep his balance and keep up with the blob. "Ari! Wait!"

"We should probably do something," Denku heard Fawkes address him. This was odd. She barely spoke to him. Did he spook her or something? He supposed the mask wouldn't help himself look child-friendly...

"You're right. Let's tell them you and Dora are hungry. I'm sure Brooke will stop to feed you," Hey, kids could twist him around their little fingers, and he was sure Brooke was the same way.

"Sure." She said. "Let's go Phineas, it's time to get a move on anyway." She walked past and paused next to Brooke. "I don't know if you heard or not. Heather, well, someone hurt her. Hurt her bad. I'm going to find the one who did it, me and that idiot, and hurt them worse. It'd be better for you to stay out of it; just thought you'd want to know."

“Sada, wait!”“I hadn’t…. I hadn’t heard anything. I lost all my connections after Deku was destroyed. What happened to Heather? Who hurt her?”

"Well, it seems they're simmering down on their own. Good thing, huh Faw---... Fawkes?" Denku looked around in a panic. Where was Fawkes? Where was Dora? Oh no, oh no, oh no. "Um... this seems important to the lot of you and I hate to interrupt," He said, looking around. "But the kids we were watching... they vanished. I was literally was just talking to Fawkes and now she and Dora are gone. I'm going to go find them," He said, running off. He really hoped this wasn't Fawkes' idea of 'doing something'.

"This way!"

"H-Hey Dora, wai..." Is there really a point trying to stop her? The more Fawkes thought about it, there really wasn't. And so, she didn't really put up much resistance as Dora started tugging on her, pulling her away from everyone else. She wasn't even sure what Dora had seen, but she figured she'd find out before long. And indeed, it wasn't long before Fawkes found out where Dora was taking her. It seemed to be a school of some sort. It was definitely better off than the one she'd seen in Deku - even before the city was destroyed - but that didn't really say much. The real question was what Dora saw that prompted her to come this way. Granted, it was a nice place, at least as far as Fawkes was aware.

There was even some sort of playground nearby, with a handful of other young gijinkas running around. The more Fawkes thought about it, it had been a while since she'd seen someone in her own age group besides Dora. Had Dora spotted one of them? Then again, it was Dora she was thinking about; she probably would have done the same because she just saw something shiny. Fawkes was at a bit of a loss.

"We should probably head back," she commented, simply putting out the first thing that came to her mind.

"He's pretty fast...interesting."

The Greninja was definitely fast both on movement and in his ability to pick up information, as he immediately focused his effort on Tianzi the moment he was starting to charge Solar Beam. Tianzi managed to dodge the shurikens he threw, but as Isole useed Thunderbolt on him, the Greninja used Smokescreen. Bad news. Without being able to notice his movement, aiming at him would be pretty-

"T-tch!"

And it was when Tianzi realized that the Greninja was already behind her. Tianzi was in a state of surprise, and almost broke his charging to use Sucker Punch in reflex, but Scarlet had somehow managed to get between him and Greninja before he managed to land a hit. As Scarlet fired a Bullet Punch at the Greninja, Tianzi shifted himself away from the Scizor, and as the ninja was still in her range of fire, Tianzi unleashed the light she had been charging. Powered by the Greninja's own stolen strength, the beam laid waste to anything that would be in its range of fire. The stored energy fueling the blaze of glory lasted for a few more seconds before it dissipated, along with the effect of Power Swap he did earlier.

"How long will you keep being stubborn...?"

Adarid Again/ ~

"Even if you ask us that, I don't..." Clotilde was unsure, suddenly being given agency regarding another person's fate, but luckily Nine answered confidently for the group. And it was a decision she could agree on, it would rest better on her conscience. "...As a maid, I naturally shall support what everyone else says."

Unlike the others preparing for another potential fight however, she found herself unable to stand. It took all of her willpower to stay awake and support herself with her knees, covered by her tattered skirt, on the ground. A dirty doll in a skirt, laying half-broken. In front of the divine being, she had all but her strings cut. The previous battle had taken too much of her and fearing the worst she whispered only for the three to hear, "Abandon me if you all have to. That being is far too strong, we cannot hope to match it. It seems unlikely but if the opportunity presents itself, run."

But even a maid half dead as she, could still express one last form of resistance. She smiled at the Victini. It was not quite a Taunt, just a simple facial expression, that seemed to convey both an amicable 'please let us go' and a daring 'come if you dare' at the same time. But she was quite confident that within her lifetime that was the most magnificent smile she has ever made.

Team Neo Not Dark, Day 28, Mioter

“I hadn’t…. I hadn’t heard anything. I lost all my connections after Deku was destroyed. What happened to Heather? Who hurt her?”

Sada halted and looked over her shoulder at Brooke. "Some crazy sunnajabroni calling himself a Godslayer. Basically destroyed half the city in the process. Don't know what he expects to accomplish going around like that but I can tell you something. He's earned himself an enemy he doesn't want to funk with."

As Denku gave his statement, Sada nodded at Brooke. "You should go with him. Come on Phineas, enough flirting, daylight's burning."

Phineas was both blushing and glaring at Easter after the Sylveon spoke up again. The tip of his tail was glowing with poisonous energy and it was clear he was itching to attack, or run, or both. However Sada's words stopped him from acting. "G-get outta my faccce." Phineas said to Easter before backing away.

---

Meanwhile Denku wouldn't get very far when he would be stopped, regardless if the others followed, by a horde of Gijinka.

A Toxicroak, Carnivine, Koffing, Zubat, and Skunktank were all standing together and, upon seeing Denku, approached him menacingly. Once they were close they pointed at him. "You with those punks eh? Well you're gonna get a pounding just like them. This is for cheating in the fight before!"

As the Toxicroak stepped forward to attack Denku...Movement towards the side was seen and a flashing blade cut across the Gijinka. He was blown back into the group behind him, knocking them all over in the process.

Standing between them and the group was a sharply dressed young man. He was grinning at the group of thugs. "Good day to you. Now, I know you weren't about to start a fight in my city, right? I really hope you rethink that plan if it were the case."

The Skuntank scoffed at him and spat to the side. "You gonna pay for that pretty boy." He said and ran towards the man, ready to attack.

The "pretty boy" shook his head and shrugged. "Have it your way." and as soon as the Skuntank reached him was hit by a flurry of blows that sent him, too, flying back into the recovering group of thugs, bowling them over once more. "I think I've made my point, no? Why don't you walk away while you can and leave these fine folks alone?"

The group got up and ran off, scattering in several directions without paying attention to where they were going, and the Gallade turned back to the group. "My apologies for that folks. Seems the guys downstairs let slip in some riffraff. I hope you don't hold it against them...Oh where's my manners." He held out his hand and flashed a charming smile. "My name is Sebastian, I lead the Psychics here in our beautiful city of Mioter, may I ask your name?"

---

At the playground, Dora was ignoring Fawkes. Well that wasn't quite accurate. She just couldn't hear the girl over the sound of her own thoughts. "Look at them all! They're all our sized!" Dora said, running into the playground and hopping around with excitement. Though it looked as though she was looking for one specific person...and they seemed to find them soon as she let out a gasp and ran over by a seesaw. There was a small Skitty girl there who seemed to be waiting for the pair. She smiled broadly as Dora approached and gestured at the seesaw. Dora looked at the object with confusion, tilting her head one way, then the other, and back again. "What is this? Faaawkes what do I do?"

Team Showdown, Day 26, Icecrown

The Abomasnow moved backwards slightly as he was struck directly by the torpedoing Taiga. Though it didn't seem to hurt him as much as she would hope. He reached down and grabbed her by the shoulders. Picking her up he roared in her face, causing spittle to hit her and showing his many cracked and crooked teeth.

---

The Greninja gritted his teeth as his attack landed on the wrong target. As Scarlet attacked the Greninja back-flipped out of the path of her attack. But Tianzi's Solar Beam attack went off at that moment and caught the Greninja dead on.

The Water-Type tumbled over and over and ended up on the very edge of the cliff. He stood up shakily and wasn't able to completely dodge the Thunderbolt Isole sent his way. Though it struck him across the side instead of scoring a direct hit.

"I...Will never surrender. The unworthy must not...be allowed to reach the peak." With what little energy he had he fired off Water Shurikens towards Tianzi again.

In the distance the group could hear loud noises. Almost as though another battle had begun not far from where they were.

Team Alola, Day 7, Northshore

"If I may be so bold as to ask...what...what happened to you?"

"Eh?" Moltres said, turned to look at Randy, the annoyance on her face she had while yelling at the mercenaries still there. "Oh this? Some punk jabroni thought it'd be fun to ambush me while I was resting. Can you believe that? Ambushing a Legend. This region is going to sheet. That's why I'm here. Because SOMEBODY is being a pain in the ass about not getting off THEIR ass."

She moved towards the mercenaries who stiffened but also seemed ready to attack the Legend to keep her from the mansion. "We were hired to keep people away from here. W-we don't want any trouble."

"Tsk, it won't be no trouble to take you down and move on through you know."

A voice called out from in the midst of the crowd behind the group. "And you expect anyone to fight you straight up with an attitude like that?" A female Gijinka came into the clearing, shouldering her way through the crowd, and standing across from Moltres, near where the group was themselves. "You don't deserve half the respect you demand. Hey hot-wings, why don't I finish what I started eh?"

Team Karaoke, Day 20, Adarid Arena

"Booo. Booooooooo." Victini said with a pout. "Why do you have to all be so booooring. I thought this place was about to get more fun but nooo everyone wants to be peeeeaceful. Well fine then be that way. I won't help you if he decides to murder you all when he wakes up. I'm going to see if there's anyone with GUTS around here." Upon saying that VIctini stormed out of the arena, leaving the group in silence for a bit.

Silence that was broken when Jabari stirred and opened his eyes. "What...where..." His gaze turned to the group and he shot to his feet, almost falling over in his haste. "You. Where is the Legend? Answer me!" He shouted the last and then began coughing, clutching at his chest.

Gwen frowned and hesitated for a moment before floating over to the man. He crouched and seemed ready to attack as Gwen reached out...and handed the man a Potion. "You're far too hurt to fight. Please...there has been enough of that today."

Fiona's eyes were saucers as she saw this and she quickly tried to hide behind Lok. "Knock him out again." She said in a frantic whisper. "P-please before he...before he killed her."

Team Mac, Day 16, Abandoned City

The giggling grew louder as the two made their way towards the thief, especially as Kazo stumbled over himself to try and catch up with Ari.

The thief had a lead on them and it would seem they would be able to escape easily but...

"Give those back, you thief!"

The figure stopped and turned at Ari's call, and seemed to wait for him to get into view.

The figure appeared to be a surprisingly young girl who was wearing a top hat and had their bags slung over her shoulder. "I am not JUST a thief my dears. I am Kaitlin, the Phantom Thief! And you all were such a delight to steal from. I tip my hat to you." She then did, indeed, take her hat off and tip it towards the pair, before twirling it and causing the hat to vanish into thin air. "I would love to chat some more, and watch you flounder to catch me, but I should be on my way. There are far too many stages I have yet to grace with my presence after all!"

Brooke was torn between chasing after Denku, to find Dora and Fawkes, and asking more about Heather. Anyone that could level half of a city on their own was far above her league. Most people would be happy to turn and run in the other direction when faced with someone like that, but Sada was chasing him down. She hasn’t changed a bit, Brooke thought incredulously. Still, whoever it was, they hurt Heather. Someone needs to make sure they pay for it.

An act of aggression couldn’t go unanswered. It was the first law of the street. Brooke bit her lip as Denku got further and further away, feeling guilty. He could find the kids on his own… right? “Don’t tell me what I should do,” she told Sada stubbornly. “Listen, do you know any good restaurants around here? I need to go make sure nothing happens to the kids, but this isn't over. Just name a place and we can meet for dinner and and talk there, tonight. My treat.”

She made it a point to ignore Easter taunting Phineas, focusing solely on Sada. She was very obviously still dangerously wound-up, but she calmed down enough to stop herself from glaring at the Zangoose. “All you have to do is show up. For old times' sake if nothing else.”

Team Showdown - Icecrown

Taiga smiled as her attack made contact.  Not many could withstand such a powerful show of force such as that of a giant geyser of water.  However, when she saw the giant arms of the Abomasnow reach through the water so nonchalantly, she couldn't help but jump in shock.  The giant gijinka gripped her by the shoulders, and drug her from the top of her blue pedestal.  The grip almost shattered her bones upon contact.  She struggled release herself from the Abomansow's big hands, but it seemed to be of no use.  The gijinka placed her in front of it's face, roaring for no reason, and getting nasty spit all over Taiga's face.  She growled.

"I'D RATHER YOU JUST TOSS ME LIKE A BALL RATHER THAN SCREAM IN MY FACE YOU FREAKING BRUTE!"  Taiga roared back into the deafening roar.

Taiga opened her mouth, as her teeth became drenched in shadow, slamming her jaws down into the abomasnow's hand.

"You call that healing? Dammit this hurts. I said I'd punish you if you screwed this up so here we go."

Randy's eyes went wide for a moment, fearing the worst on what Moltres was going to do, but all it ended up being was a small flick on Marie's head...which still did some damage. Yeesh...little harsh there... he thought, watching Moltres like a Fearow at this point to make sure she didn't just go wild on hurting Marie, Keanu, or even himself.

"the treatment is done!"

"There, there. That was pretty cool of ya."

"You alright, Marie?" Randy asked, kneeling down and gently rubbing Marie's head some. He looked at Keanu, seeing he wasn't exactly thrilled about this either. Then again, this was a Legendary. Better not to get on their bad side and whatnot.

"Eh? Oh this?"

The Incineroar quickly looked up at Moltres, before standing up to hear her finally respond to his question. Guess my question was low on the priority list there... he thought, crossing his arms as he heard Moltres continue.

"Oh this? Some punk jabroni thought it'd be fun to ambush me while I was resting. Can you believe that? Ambushing a Legend. This region is going to sheet. That's why I'm here. Because SOMEBODY is being a pain in the ass about not getting off THEIR ass."

"I really can't believe that." Randy shook his head a bit. "Honestly, I don't think that it's a smart idea for anyone to be attacking a Legendary. I mean, after all...you guys are a huge deal. I mean, I can honestly say, if I saw Solgaleo and Lunala again, I wouldn't attack them. I'd question why they left the boat and us, but that's about it." he shrugged.

"The hell? You traveled with them? Is that how Legends do it in Alola? No wonder you're not giving me proper respect." Apparently, Moltres was shocked and obviously disappointed at this, probably due to the etiquette Randy wasn't apparently showing.

Randy sighed a bit, rubbing the back of his head. "I-It's more complicated than that...they were wounded from a surprise attack on Alola from some strange enemy...we're lucky all of us got out of their alive."

"Surprise attacks seem to be all the rage these days..." the Incineroar wanted to know what Moltres meant by this, but he was cut off by Moltres continuing...and a newcomer entering the area.

"Tsk, it won't be no trouble to take you down and move on through you know."

"And you expect anyone to fight you straight up with an attitude like that? You don't deserve half the respect you demand. Hey hot-wings, why don't I finish what I started eh?"

Randy noticed the female Tyranitar Gijinka now here, and apparently she was the one who attacked Moltres. With the obvious threat out on the table, Randy looked at Keanu and Marie. "Get back some...I may do something a bit stupid." he whispered to them, before putting himself between Moltres and the Tyranitar. "Hey. Lay off the Legendary. She's already been injured once." Randy directed his speech towards the Tyranitar.

"Well yeah, that was me, let me finish what I started big guy."

"Attacking Legendaries? I'm sorry...but something about that just doesn't sound good. Where I come from...we revere the Legendaries and our Island Guardians. Not attack them." Randy said, crossing his arms slightly.

"I don't know what weak region your from but we do things a bit different here. Either stop talking or get beat down with her."

The Incineroar stared intently at the Tyranitar, before shaking his head, his arms uncrossing. "Alola. Not weak reigon. And sorry...but I don't care if you are one of those Chaser dealies I've been hearing about or just one who really wants to get their rocks off on fighting Legendaries...but I'm saying no."

This obviously wasn't what the Tyranitar was hoping to hear. "Just try and stop me."

The words I wanted to hear. Randy smirked slowly, punching his fist into his open palm, before cracking his knuckles. He just stood there, waiting and watching. Making the first move like this, especially with a Tyranitar chick would be a bad move...especially with him not knowing her fighting style and patterns. Playing it safe and waiting for her to make the first move would be the best option.

As Ari was running, he heard Kazo's voice behind him, "A-Ari, is that you? Stop! It's too dangerous to go alone! Ari! Wait!" He couldn't stop though. Dangerous or not, this was what he had to do.

The figure had stopped after hearing his voice, showing herself as a young girl wearing...yes that was a top hat. "I am not JUST a thief my dears. I am Kaitlin, the Phantom Thief! And you all were such a delight to steal from. I tip my hat to you." She then actually took her hat off and tipped it toward them, then twirling it where it vanished soon after. "I would love to chat some more, and watch you flounder to catch me, but I should be on my way. There are far too many stages I have yet to grace with my presence after all!"

"Stages? Presence?" Ari was a bit confused by all this, but he knew he couldn't let himself get distracted either. "But anyway! Stealing is bad, and what you stole is very important to me, so give it back! And uhh, the other bags probably have important stuff too, so please give those back too!" He drew himself up and puffed out his chest, hoping he looked sufficiently mature and intimidating.

Phineas was both blushing and glaring at Easter, which was an interesting combination. The tip of his tail was glowing with poisonous energy and it was clear he was itching to attack, or run, or both. This caused the Sylveon to get a bit excited, despite his earlier reluctance to fight. What would he do? Maybe if things escalated enough...

However Sada's words were like a splash of cold water. "Come on Phineas, enough flirting, daylight's burning."

The Seviper obeyed readily, which puzzled Easter. Last he had seen, the two had been fighting like...well, Zangoose and Seviper, but maybe that was normal for them. "G-get outta my faccce," he said to Easter before backing away.

How disappointing. Over so soon. He had wanted some more...fun. And he knew just how to get it too. The Sylveon grinned mischievously. "Didn't know she was your nanny," he teased. His tone was taunting, but his expression was light, and his eyes were inviting. Mixed signals were always fun. "If you decide to stop hiding behind her skirts, I can show you what's under mine," he simpered, before flouncing off. One thing he had learned in his conning business, was how to make a good exit. And this was the perfect time for that. He would make himself memorable.

He would have stayed around to gloat over Phineas' reaction but even distracted as he was, he had noticed that the kids were gone. And so was Denku. And he would have left them to their own devices and continued his happy happy fun time but for the reminder of Sam's words once again. Damn. Things would be so much easier if he didn't have a conscience. Then he could just...continue his merry way playing people and playing with people.

His good mood evaporated at that, a frown forming between his brows. This...might be where they parted ways, actually. Brooke seemed to have friends here, and he had only accompanied the group to make sure the kids were safe while they traveled. And because he was bored. But Mioter seemed like a safe place, surrounded by whirlpools and full of guards. From what he had seen, the Emboar wasn't the itinerant type like he was. She might just decide to take root here.

If so, then where would he go next? He might stay a little bit, just to see them settled in, but otherwise he had no real destination. Perhaps he would try and visit Skuldafn again. Or see if he could get to Merm. But for now, he needed to find the children.

He caught up to Denku pretty quickly, but was soon stopped by some familiar gijinka. Easter didn't remember seeing the Zubat with the others before but for some reason it felt like he belonged there this whole time. "You with those punks eh? Well you're gonna get a pounding just like them. This is for cheating in the fight before!"

The Sylveon rolled his eyes and was about to attack when a Gallade cut across the Toxicroak. The fairy type felt a bit of sympathy for the poor gijinka. Seems you can never catch a break...then again you've provoked your punishment every time.

"Good day to you. Now, I know you weren't about to start a fight in my city, right? I really hope you rethink that plan if it were the case."

The Skuntank scoffed at him and spat to the side. "You gonna pay for that pretty boy." He said and ran towards the man, ready to attack.

The man shook his head and shrugged. "Have it your way." and as soon as the Skuntank reached him was hit by a flurry of blows that sent him, too, flying back into the recovering group of thugs, bowling them over once more. "I think I've made my point, no? Why don't you walk away while you can and leave these fine folks alone?"

"Yeah, I think that enemy got...the point," Easter said flatly, watching them scatter in several directions.

The Gallade turned back to the group at that point.

"You may, and it's Easter," the Sylveon replied smilingly. However, inside, he was a bit sour since this man had denied him the opportunity to let off some steam. "Thanks for the help, Sebastian." Still, he had always respected fighting types, and knew to be wary of psychic types, and this man was a combination of both.

"Tsk, it won't be no trouble to take you down and move on through you know."

Keanu was ready to leave at this point. They had seen what they had come to see, and found a real junk wahine for their trouble.

Now Keanu was doubly ready to leave. "All right, let's go home braddahs," he said, but Randy seemed intent on doing something stupid, even telling them that.

"Hey. Lay off the Legendary. She's already been injured once." Randy directed his speech towards the newcomer.

The Pikachu facepalmed at that. Randy was being...a busybody. This wasn't going to end well, he just knew it.

"Well yeah, that was me, let me finish what I started big guy."

"Attacking Legendaries? I'm sorry...but something about that just doesn't sound good. Where I come from...we revere the Legendaries and our Island Guardians. Not attack them."

"I don't know what weak region you're from but we do things a bit different here. Either stop talking or get beat down with her."

"Alola. Not weak reigon. And sorry...but I don't care if you are one of those Chaser dealies I've been hearing about or just one who really wants to get their rocks off on fighting Legendaries...but I'm saying no."

"Just try and stop me."

The Incineroar smirked slowly, punching his fist into his open palm, before cracking his knuckles. He just stood there, waiting and watching.

Keanu held back a groan. This wasn't his problem. This wasn't their problem. They had done their part when Marie had healed some of Moltres' wounds, but now Randy wanted to go and interfere some more. With somebody strong enough to hurt a legendary. And if Marie decided to join then for sure he'd have to as well. But maybe he could get the tiger to change his mind. "This might not be the best idea," he said.

The man was shaking. He was on his last breaths. Tianzi moved aside to dodge the water shurikens, and started to approach him. It was just like what people say - there would definitely be something interesting if someone was bothered enough to guard the place with their life. If her guess was correct, then this would be a nice location to be in.

"I...Will never surrender. The unworthy must not...be allowed to reach the peak."

"We make our own worth. If I decide to go up there, then nothing will stop me from doing so. Especially not someone's sentimentality about innate worth."

With that said, Tianzi attacked him with a Sucker Punch, hoping to knock him out as he doubted that he'd have enough strength right now to push him off the cliff. As he did so, a rumbling could be heard on the distance, it seemed that someone was also fighting there. Taiga? From what he saw of her so far, it's not too unlikely. Well, Tianzi weren't really thrilled at the thought of helping her out, but might as well.

"You guys think we should check that place? We need to regroup with Taiga anyway, and she might be there for all we know."

Adarid Team Karaoke

The stranger seemed displeased with everyone, storming out of the arena. Lok wasn't sure how to react, but he was just glad that everyone was safe. Or at least, they were, until the other stranger started waking up. "What...where..." His gaze turned to the group and he shot to his feet, almost falling over in his haste. "You. Where is the Legend? Answer me!" He shouted the last and then began coughing, clutching at his chest. Lok started to panic, stepping backwards a bit, only stopping when he felt something cling onto him.

"Knock him out again." She said in a frantic whisper. "P-please before he...before he killed her." Lok's head darted back, staring at Fiona.

"W-what?" He glanced back to Gwen and the stranger. "I-I don't think I could, even if I wanted to! Just look at him!" He hissed back, gesturing to the set of abs on the scary gijinka. And yet, he was worried about Gwen. The last time he had tried to deal with someone violent with peace, he got an ice beam through his chest. He didn't know anything about the man, other than that he was strong. Even if Lok tried to do something, he doubted he'd be able to hurt him even in his weakened state. Still, he couldn't just stand there and watch Gwen potentially die in front of him. "Damn it!" He cursed under his breath, before rushing to Gwen's side. "D-Don't hurt her!" He shouted as intimidatingly as possible, although it came out rather meek. "What the hell are you doing?" He thought to himself as he grabbed onto Gwen's arm. "P-Please..."

Icecrown Team Showdown

The ninja had managed to dodge her attack, only to find himself in the crossfire of Tianzi's Solar Beam. She watched as Tianzi walked up to the guardian, dodging his Water Shurriken, before slamming him with a Sucker Punch. Scarlet let out a sigh of relief, placing her pincer over her injury. It was definitely getting better, although she could still feel surges of pain coming from it. Suddenly, a rumbling pierced the general silence of the mountain from what seemed like it wasn't too far off. "You guys think we should check that place? We need to regroup with Taiga anyway, and she might be there for all we know."

Scarlet nodded. "Sounds like a plan." She looked back at the guardian who had tried to fend them off. "What exactly is on this mountain that this guy is protecting it..." She thought out loud, before turning her gaze back to where the sound came from. She started making her way there. Hopefully they would find Taiga soon.

Nine was a bit off put by the legend's reaction, showing clear displeasure at their decision to keep the godslayer alive. While normally he might've been annoyed by their child-like and violent behavior, he was instead met with curiosity. Between the three legends he had met earlier, while they were all different in the way they acted, they seemed to still have the kind of bearing that he would expect of a legend. The fact that Victini seemed so different from them made Nine wonder about the idea behind the Legends in general. Yet still, before he could mull on it anymore, the legendary vanished leaving them with a waking godslayer to deal with. As he seemed ready to brawl against Gwendoline, the girl seemed to attempt to diffuse the situation by giving him a potion. As Lok seemed to try and stop any further aggression as well, Nine simply shrugged saying, "and there you have it."

Walking closer, squatting to be eye level with Jabari, the houndoom said, "well, if you're looking for Victini they've already left. And who knows what it'll take to bring them back again." After letting that process, the Houndoom then said, "so what's on the agenda next?"

Still rubbing her head to ease the pain from the earlier "attack," Marie was a bit displeased that the Moltres still seemed raring to fight against whoever had did what they did to her, however, she was even more displeased with the idea that someone had attacked them in their sleep. It was an awfully rude way to fight, and Marie felt obligated to give the person who did that to her a piece of her mind. And as she was thinking this, that very same person appeared before them. As a fight seemed ready to begin between the two, Randy seemed to try and intervene. While Marie was nodding at his attempt, her approval of his actions started to slowly go down and down until it seemed that he himself was ready to get into a fight. Sighing at the sight, the girl started to walk over towards the three of the gijinka saying, "ahem!"

Looking at the three of them she said, "there will be no fighting here!" Looking over to Moltres she said, "you! As your doctor I recommend getting lots and lots of rest before doing physically exhausting activities again." She looked over to Randy saying, "and you! Don't encourage bully's it only makes their bully behavior all the more bullier." She then turned to the strange gijinka who claimed to want to fight. "And you! Attacking someone in their sleep is not nice and trying to fight in public like this is also not nice. So stop trying to pick a fight here and apologize for your actions!"

Kazo's vision was still blurred, and he wasn't sure he was hearing things right. But he saw a small blob talking to a smaller blob, so he assumed it was Ari and whoever stole from them.

"I am... JUST a chief my dears," A chief? Chief of what? What kind of chief steals from people? "I am Kaitlin, the Random Chief! And you all were such a fright to appeal from. I slip my cat to you." Kazo was pretty sure the confusion was affecting his hearing, because there was no way this was right. "I would love to prat some more, and watch you rebounder to fetch me, but I should be on my way. There are far too many cages I have yet to grace with my presence after all!"

"Um, could you repeat that when this confusion wears off?" Kazo asked, looking in the wrong direction. "Because from what I could hear, you're a random chief that was frightened to appeal to us, so now you're leaving to grace your presence to a cage... oh, and something about slipping a cat. Please tell me I'm wrong," He stated, trying to find the blobs again. Where was he going and where was everyone?!

Denku was frustrated as he was stopped by a group comprised of a Toxicroak, Carnivine, Koffing, Zubat, and Skunktank. "You with those punks eh? Well you're gonna get a pounding just like them. This is for cheating in the fight before!" Denku was being threatened, and he didn't know how to take it. Only one answer left his throat.

"Who the hell are you guys?" He was beginning to think this group he was traveling with was just as much of trouble as his old one. Would he ever catch a break? He looked over his shoulder to see Easter. Maybe the two of them could overpower this group and get moving? However, that would just get them in trouble with the authorities, and that was just even worse of a hassle. They needed to find Dora and Fawkes! For all he knew, Dora could be heading to the edge of the city! And knowing her, she could fall off!

However, a Gallade suddenly appeared, smacking one away and scaring off the rest.

"You may, and it's Easter," the Sylveon replied smilingly.  "Thanks for the help, Sebastian."

"I'm Denku. Thanks for your help, but we need to get moving," The Pupitar tried to walk past the Gallade. "Our kids went missing, and we need to find them before one of them gets hurt," from what he could tell, it was only a matter of time before trouble would find Dora.

"Look at them all! They're all our sized!"

"They sure are," Fawkes confirmed. She glanced around at the playground and the people in it. The sight of the place and the people in it left her feeling restless, though she wasn't quite sure if it was in a good way or not. Dora seemed to be looking for someone, and found them before long. A Skitty sitting on a seesaw seemed to be the person Dora was looking for. Fawkes followed in her Wooper companion's footsteps, albeit a bit hesitantly. Dora didn't quite seem to get what the seesaw was, or how to use it.

"What is this? Faaawkes what do I do?"

"You sit on it," she answered, keeping her voice down and quiet. "Then you both take turns pushing each side up and down with your feet." In the back of her head, Fawkes was still thinking about how Dora had just up and ditched Brooke and the rest of the group, taking her along for the ride, in a place neither of them knew anything about. Dora wouldn't be the type willing to head back so soon, and it would make Fawkes look like a bad person if she tried bringing Dora back by force right? But at the same time who was to say Brooke and the others would even find them? And who was this Skitty, for that matter?

Adarid Again/ ~

Immediate relief filled Clotilde as the Legend left the battlefield all on its own, but her nerves tightened again when the Zebstrika woke up. Jabari, she had a feeling that was his name, looked around rage-tempered. Even with Gwen offering to heal him, Clotilde could not tell what would happen next. But once again she was assured when Lok ran over to support Gwen. She had faith the boy's own faith in Gwen would be enough.

Upon Nine's prompting, she decided. Perhaps it was out of her place to do so, but she really could not stand staying in Adarid any longer. "Agenda, is it... I propose we leave this city and camp outside its walls. In just a few minutes I should be able to walk agai-"

Clotilde's knees could no longer handle her weight and she fell face flat into the ground.

"...I should be able to walk again, but I would appreciate a hand, if I may request for that much."

Somehow she could feel all the tension built up in her dissipate away. Her body was too battered to stand, but she could feel this fiasco's end was at hand. "Who knows what legendary will interrupt us if we wait another day? We should hurry out."

Team Neo Not Dark, Day 28, Mioter

“All you have to do is show up. For old times' sake if nothing else.”

"Damn stubborn kid." Sada muttered. "We really should be going soon before the trail gets too cold but...fine, I guess we can stick around for one more day. There's a place over to the northern section we can go to. The Hot Spot. We'll head over there in a few hours."

"What are we supposssed to do until then?" Phineas said, clearly grumpy due to the interaction with Easter. He hadn't been able to say anything to their words and only called out as they left that "Who would want to!"

Sada shrugged. "Maybe Horatio will let us get a few more practice rounds in. You still haven't gotten the hang of that move yet."
"How could I? It'ssss not something I'm used to..."

"Maybe we should ask that Sylveon for help, I'm sure they'd love to teach you a few tricks." Sada said with a grin as she started to walk away, waving at Brooke as she left.

Phineas followed her, steaming, and immediately began to bicker with the woman.

---

"Thanks for the help, Sebastian."

"I'm Denku. Thanks for your help, but we need to get moving," The Pupitar tried to walk past the Gallade. "Our kids went missing, and we need to find them before one of them gets hurt,"

"Oh dear I apologize for not realizing you two were parents! No wonder you're in such a hurry. Though I wouldn't worry too much, besides the occasional flare up this place is as safe as can be. They're probably over by the school if I had to guess. If you'd like I could show you the way. And...If you need somewhere to rest I would be willing to offer up my home. It's quite large and I am the only one living there now."

At this point is when Brooke would catch up with them and Sebastian would smile at her. "Hello to you, you're another new face, did you come here with these two? I was about to help them look for their children."

----

"You sit on it," she answered, keeping her voice down and quiet. "Then you both take turns pushing each side up and down with your feet.

"Oooooh!" Dora said, not keeping her voice down, drawing more than a few looks their way. "It's like magic! You know lots Fawkes." She waddled over to the seesaw and her and the Skitty got into position. They began to go back and forth for a while, the Skitty smiling and Dora laughing and beaming. "It's fun! You should try too Fawkes!" Dora turned towards Fawkes and began to flail about. Without having a hand hold the seesaw wasn't the most stable.

She began to fall off, from the highest point, and let out a yelp of surprise. Before she hit the ground she was surrounded in a gentle, pink, light and floated the rest of the way to the ground. Dora looked around for whoever did that and her eyes settled on the Skitty who was looking worried but innocent. "Was that you? Wait wait Fawkes was that YOU?"

Moments later a voice called out. "There you are!" And an elderly Torkoal came hobbling up, supported by a cane, towards the Skitty. "Must stop running off like that dear, these old bones can't move so fast...eh? And who are you?" The Torkoal looked at the children with an almost suspicious expression.

Team Showdown, Day 26, Icecrown

"I'D RATHER YOU JUST TOSS ME LIKE A BALL RATHER THAN SCREAM IN MY FACE YOU FREAKING BRUTE!"

As Taiga bit into the Abomasnow's hand he shouted in pain and whipped his arm around. Taiga would be sent into the air and, just as she asked, was tossed like a ball towards the other end of the cavern. Grabbing at his hand, roots began to emerge from the Abomasnow's legs and he Ingrained himself into the ground and began to heal his wounds.

----

As the Greninja fell and Tianzi asked her question there was yet another roar in the distance.

"What exactly is on this mountain that this guy is protecting it..."

"There's supposed to be treasure here." Isole reminded them. "Jewels of some kind. Probably worth a lot." She shrugged. "Seems a big hassle to me..." But she went along with the group in the direction of the sounds. They'd get louder the closer they got and eventually they would hear Taiga's most recent shout coming from a hole in the ground.

Team Alola, Day 7, Northshore

The Tyranitar looked at Randy in disgust as he prepared to fight her. Prepared to protect Moltres. And why? Because she was a Legend? What a stupid reason...

The Pikachu seemed to have some sort of reason to him though, maybe she could let him convince the idiot to stand down and she could continue her fight in peace.

"And you! Attacking someone in their sleep is not nice and trying to fight in public like this is also not nice. So stop trying to pick a fight here and apologize for your actions!"

The Tyranitar twitched. Now she was getting scolded? By some kid? Ugh why was this so frustrating?

Oh screw it.

"You people really don't get it. This is how it's done here. We find a Legend we challenge it. We try and prove we're stronger. Protecting them? That's stupid. You don't know her, and she's obviously more than a little arrogant, what good is protecting someone like that? Ahhhh whatever. You want to get in my way then I'll swat you aside and go for the goal."

She had three options to go through. The Pikachu who hadn't raised a finger to stop her, the kid, or the big oaf who thought he could protect a Legend.

Never had an easier choice in her life. The Tyranitar raised her hand to the side and a Stone Edge appeared in it. She went straight for Randy, moving quicker than would be expected given her species, and swung the attack in a horizontal arc. Were it to connect it would, as she had said, swat the Fire type aside and inflict a lot of damage.

However...

A bright light came from behind them, coating the Legend, and anyone looking would notice an herb in her hand crumbling away moments before she surged forth, wings sprouting from behind her, and she crashed into the Tyranitar. The woman was pushed back away from Randy as her attack dissipated from her hand, though it didn't look like she was injured much.

Moltres now stood in front of the group, facing the Tyranitar, with an enraged expression on her face. A pair of flaming wings now visible on her back. "Chasers like you make me sick. Battling without regard for the safety of others. Time to teach you, all of you, just why you should respect a Legendary."

The Tyranitar, rather than be impressed, just looked even more amused. "That all you got? Going to have to try harder to stop me. Cause I'm not just a Chaser. Those weaklings who fight Legends to earn their favor. I'm much more than that. I made a promise. I won't let anyone interfere. The world is going to change, Moltres, and it begins today! I'm what you fear. What all of you Legends fear! The reason so many of you are hiding from the world like the cowards you are." She grinned wickedly as everyone would be able to feel the power coming from her. Sand began to kick up around her, buffeting the group. "Godslayer."

Team Mac, Day 16, Abandoned City

"But anyway! Stealing is bad, and what you stole is very important to me, so give it back! And uhh, the other bags probably have important stuff too, so please give those back too!"

"Oh you ARE a cute one. Lemme guess you're a hero right? You totally look like that type. Heroes are the MOST fun to mess with ya know? Doesn't it being important make it all the more valuable? Why would I give it up just cause of that?"

"Um, could you repeat that when this confusion wears off?" Kazo asked, looking in the wrong direction. "Because from what I could hear, you're a random chief that was frightened to appeal to us, so now you're leaving to grace your presence to a cage... oh, and something about slipping a cat. Please tell me I'm wrong,"

Kaitlin had the most dumbfounded expression on her face. "I know my Confuse Ray is good but this is a bit much. You didn't even hear my incredible introduction!" She looked at Ari again and suddenly she seemed just a bit more childish than before. "It was a great introduction wasn't it?"

Team Karaoke, Day 20, Adarid Arena

"D-Don't hurt her!"

Jabari, for the first time, looked at Lok. Was this Rotom going to challenge him? If he intended to stand in his way then he would strike him down all the same...

"P-Please..."

He hesitated at this, and as Gwen patted Lok's hand while watching Jabari warily.

"Your brother?" Jabari said, speaking a bit more softly.
"Ah, not..really, though." Gwen smiled at the boy. "He may as well be."

Jabari's hesitation continued and the other two spoke up.

"well, if you're looking for Victini they've already left. And who knows what it'll take to bring them back again." After letting that process, the Houndoom then said, "so what's on the agenda next?"

The warrior who had fought him so fiercely brought Jabari's mind back to his goal. And the other one, the one who had been standing when he fell, mentioned they were to leave soon.
Victini was gone...he had lost his chance. "I must...find another Legend. I cannot return empty handed again. You may go free, I have no quarrel with you, but do not stand in my way another time. The next Legend I meet must fall to my hand."

Gwen bit her lip, wanting to say something, this Jabari seemed to be in even more trouble than they were. But what would she say to such a man? He was a Gijinka of battle and she...well she most certainly was not. The only thing she could add was to agree with Clotilde. "We should leave yes. This place is far too dangerous as it is. You, um, Godslayer, I do hope you..." She paused, and shook her head. She really was at a loss for words.

Looking over at the Charizard, Gwen moved to help her up. She was still unconscious but they couldn't just leave her here. "Fiona could you help me?"

The Drapion froze and her gaze whipped back between Gwen and Jabari. "U-uh yeah sure." She said and went towards Vita.
Jabari looked at her in confusion. "You seem...familiar." He stated.

"Nope, not me, never saw you before, must be someone else." Fiona said with nervous laughter as the pair of girls lifted Vita up.

"This might not be the best idea,"

"I know...but can't just sit around twiddling my thumbs." Randy whispered back to Keanu. "Just make sure Marie stays ba-" Unfortunately, his request came too late, seeing walking near them and getting behind him. sheet...

"Ahem! There will be no fighting here! You! As your doctor I recommend getting lots and lots of rest before doing physically exhausting activities again. And you! Don't encourage bully's it only makes their bully behavior all the more bullier. And you! Attacking someone in their sleep is not nice and trying to fight in public like this is also not nice. So stop trying to pick a fight here and apologize for your actions!"

Randy stood there dumbfounded as he listened to what Marie was saying. She literally had a lot of guts to not only talk to a Legendary like that, but even the way she spoke to a Chaser! She's going to get herself hurt if she's not careful. he thought, putting his attention back towards the Tyranitar. Now with Marie saying something, he had to be on guard. Randy wasn't sure if this chick would go off and try and strike at the Popplio...he just only hoped it was him he struck at.

"Ladies first..." he said, exhaling slowly. Randy wasn't sure exactly what he just got himself into, but right now...since Marie was now behind him, he needed to make sure he wasn't moving.

Before the Incineroar's eyes, the opposing gijinka had a Stone Edge in her hand and proceeded to move fast. Faster than he knew Tyranitars could move! W-What's with that speed?! I've fought a few Tyranitars...and they were THIS fast! he thought, trying to focus on where the woman was going to strike. Just as he was hoping, it seemed the gijinka was heading straight for him. Though with the unpredictable speed, Randy couldn't dodge the attack.

However, the attack never hit him. Moltres' interference with Sky Attack blew the Tyranitar back and the Stone Edge out of her hand. Randy only watched as the Moltres got in front of the group and spoke again to the Tyranitar. And the spectacle that was Moltres was quite a view...namely, the fiery wings on her back.

"A-Amazing..."

The reason so many of you are hiding from the world like the cowards you are. Godslayer."

Randy was confused now. She wasn't just a Chaser but something called a Godslayer? As the sandstorm whipped up, he had a pretty good idea on what it might've meant. Though through all this...it would've made a normal gijinka lose heart and even freak out. However, Randy only wore a smirk on his face. Ever since the day they left Alola, the Incineroar needed to fight...he was a pro-wrestler, it was second nature to him. The sheer abilities this Tyranitar was showing stirred up his arrogance and cocky nature. His fists began to clench and he slowly moved forward from behind the Legendary.

"Godslayer? Well by that title...you probably won't have a problem with these odds of two versus one!" Randy shouted, slamming a foot down and fixing his vest he had on. "Cause Randy Roarton..."The Rising Sun", doesn't back down from a fight!!" He glanced over his shoulder and looked sternly at Keanu. "Keep her safe and you both stay back. Things are gonna get heated."

"If I have to kill you, too, to change this diseased world then I will."

Randy listened to the Tyranitar and cracked his knuckles some. "Then change the world without bringing the Legendaries into it. It ain't Elgyem science!" he said, crouching some, prepared to make a move. However, as he prepared himself, the Tyranitar only looked at him with the look that clearly said "you're stupid".

-BGM-

Without a second to waste, Randy made a small hand gesture at his fiery belt. As soon as the ball of fire was formed, he smirked and shouted. "FIRE BLAST!!!" Soon, the fire ball was shot from his belt and it took the form of a huge five point kanji, as it made its way towards the desired target. At the same time, the Tyranitar's vision would be on the Fire Blast. Taking this opportunity, the Incineroar rushed forward and held out his right arm.

He watched the Tyranitar take the Fire Blast and finally he was in reach. Randy's right fist was glowing with a white light as he smirked, swinging horizontally. "BRICK BREAK!!" he shouted, however, he wasn't aware until the moment before, where he watched the Tyranitar unleashing a wave of dark energy around her and punched his fist to intercept it. Randy was pushed back by the punch, though it hurt like either a two ton Mammoswine stomping the hell out of him or a full-speed Donphan running him over...

She countered it...not bad... he thought, shaking his right hand a bit. Seemed like things were gonna be a lot more interesting than he originally thought.

Team Showdown - Icecrown

Taiga wasn't surprised one bit when she was thrown against the cavern wall yet again.  It felt as if when she collided with the cavern walls, she could feel the whole mountain reverberate inside the ice.  As she slid down the wall for the second time, plopping onto her buttocks, she could start to feel the pain sink in.  This wasn't a very good match up for her, even if she was Taiga the Terrible Treacherous Tyrannical Treasure Trapper.  This big hunk of tree was making a mockery of her frail, but toned figure.  She struggled to find the strength to get back to her feet, her legs still shaky as she used the cavern walls to support herself.  Now the brute had the decency to hunker down and start gaining nutrients from the ground, in an attempt to heal off all of the hard work that Taiga had put in thus far.  When she got back to her feet, she bumped her chest with her fist twice, smiling as she did so, but wincing from the pain.

"Dammit you lumbering piece of....lumber!  I ain't been this bruised up in a long time.  But I'm not going down til I get some Arceus damn treasure in my pockets!  And ain't no one gonna stop me, not even a overgrown stick with some muscle!"  She started a runner's pose with her shaky legs, her muscles tightening until the instant she let go.  "I've still got one trick up my sleeve."  She said, as she took off towards the ingrained Gijinka.

Her speed was incredible, as the ice beneath her became slick as she generated small bits of water beneath her feet.  This was nothing though, and she planned on going faster.  Taiga almost became a blur in no time flat as she approached, jumping in the air, and vanishing from sight.  Almost instantly, Taiga appeared before the behemoth, and let loose a devastating Crunch, only to disappear again in the blink of an eye.  She would repeat the process: reappear, CRUNCH, disappear, all cross the Abomasnow's body.  After many uncountable attacks, Taiga reappeared behind the Gijinka to turn around and flash a wicked smile.

"I call it the 'Taiga Typhoon'!"  With her smile also came the pain of all the Crunch attacks landing at once in one simultaneous feeding frenzy.  She put a hand to her mouth watching the Gijinka, hopefully despairing at this point.  "You're already dead!  FUFUFUFUFUFU!"

"Oh you ARE a cute one. Lemme guess you're a hero right? You totally look like that type. Heroes are the MOST fun to mess with ya know? Doesn't it being important make it all the more valuable? Why would I give it up just cause of that?"

Ari shook his head, thinking of Mac. "No, I'm no hero. That's someone else. I'm more, maybe..." what was he anyway? A king? A prince? A wanderer? "Maybe I'm a lion," he said, eyes shining. "And...it's not really valuable, but it is to me, so that's why I'd like it back," he explained.

"Um, could you repeat that when this confusion wears off?" Kazo asked, looking in the wrong direction. "Because from what I could hear, you're a random chief that was frightened to appeal to us, so now you're leaving to grace your presence to a cage... oh, and something about slipping a cat. Please tell me I'm wrong."

The Phantom Thief had the most dumbfounded expression on her face. "I know my Confuse Ray is good but this is a bit much. You didn't even hear my incredible introduction!" She looked at Ari again and suddenly she seemed just a bit more childish than before. "It was a great introduction wasn't it?"

The lion blinked. "Uhh, sure," he said, not really sure why she was asking him. Sure it was great and all, but how could he appreciate it fully when it happened while stealing his stuff? He was more concerned with that. "It was pretty dramatic." Which it was. Reminded him of some of the entrances he'd made with Tiana. Like that one time, when they had tried to lose Zago, and they had climbed up to the top of a very large tower of animals, that had later toppled over. But, that had all stopped after visiting the elephant graveyard, and almost getting her killed. After that, with his uncle's encouragement, he had left to grow stronger, so nothing like that would happen again.

But it had happened again, multiple times. And he had let that get him down, had erased it from his mind, but now, he was ready to face it. And maybe, eventually, do more dramatic entrances again.

Easter's lips curled into a grin as he heard Phineas shout behind him, "Who would want to!"

.

"I'm Denku. Thanks for your help, but we need to get moving," The Pupitar tried to walk past the Gallade. "Our kids went missing, and we need to find them before one of them gets hurt."

Brooke showed up at this point. "Hello to you, you're another new face, did you come here with these two? I was about to help them look for their children."

Easter held back a snicker at this situation. This will be fun. He morphed his face into a concerned frown. "Yes, we're ever so worried," his lower lip wobbled. "I'm afraid I got distracted, took my eyes off them for one second, and now..." he sniffed, glancing at Denku. "Darling, do you think we should follow the nice man? It seems he knows his way around better than we do, anyway." He looked at Brooke, "And yes, she's with us. You could say she's the primary mother. We're ever so open-minded, you see."

Keanu sighed at this whole situation.

"I know...but can't just sit around twiddling my thumbs." Randy whispered back to Keanu. "Just make sure Marie stays ba-"

Yeah, too late there.

"Ahem! There will be no fighting here!" Looking over to Moltres she said, "you!

The Pikachu didn't know what to think aside from brutal. Adarid just needed to relax and kick back, be less about beef and more about sleep.

"Ladies first..."

At Randy's provocation, the gijinka raised her hand, a large stone club appearing in it. She raced toward the Incineroar at a speed even Keanu would have trouble keeping up with, but then Moltres blocked it with some sort of fiery attack. Keanu wasn't sure which, since he didn't make it a point of knowing every single move that existed like some people did.

"Chasers like you make me sick. Battling without regard for the safety of others. Time to teach you, all of you, just why you should respect a Legendary."

The gijinka, whose species he still didn't know, appeared amused. The reason so many of you are hiding from the world like the cowards you are." She grinned wickedly and Keanu felt power radiating from her. Sand began to kick up around her, buffeting the group. Her voice seemed different too, scarier. #daa520;">"Godslayer."

Keanu shivered at that, backing away even more. Randy, however, seemed to take it as an invitation, smirking and stepping forward, ready to battle.

The Pikachu didn't need to be told twice, but his face twisted in reluctant concern as he took another step back. Maybe I should help, he thought, before shaking his head. What am I thinking? Gotten infected with his craziness.

"If I have to kill you, too, to change this diseased world then I will."

Randy listened to the Tyranitar and cracked his knuckles some. "Then change the world without bringing the Legendaries into it. It ain't Elgyem science!" he said, crouching some, prepared to make a move.

"By the gods," Keanu groaned. "We were just trying to get some food, and this happened."

"I know my Moose Bay is good but this is a bit much. You didn't even hear my incredible introduction! It was a great introduction wasn't it?" Kazo rubbed his ears as he looked around. His vision was clearing, and he could hear properly again.

"Uhh, sure. It was pretty dramatic." Ari said. Kazo sighed and thought to himself. he could only think of one way to get out of this pickle, an ancient technique that had been passed from male to male for generations.

Tell the woman what she wants to hear.

"Man, it sounds like I missed something amazing... do you mind repeating it?" He asked, rubbing his head.

"Oh dear I apologize for not realizing you two were parents!" Wait, what? "No wonder you're in such a hurry. Though I wouldn't worry too much, besides the occasional flare up this place is as safe as can be. They're probably over by the school if I had to guess. If you'd like I could show you the way. And...If you need somewhere to rest I would be willing to offer up my home. It's quite large and I am the only one living there now."

"Yes, we're ever so worried," their lower lip wobbled. "I'm afraid I got distracted, took my eyes off them for one second, and now..." he/she sniffed, glancing at Denku. "Darling, do you think we should follow the nice man? It seems he knows his way around better than we do, anyway." He/she/it looked at Brooke, "And yes, she's with us. You could say she's the primary mother. We're ever so open-minded, you see." Denku stared at Easter stone faced. What where they doing? Did this mean they really were a girl? Oh, wait, they could be a gay guy. What the hell was actually going on?

"... Don't call me Darling in front of others...," He muttered in such a way that could be interpreted as embarrassment. Technically, he was, but more so that he had to say that sentience rather than being called it. "Fine, we can follow him. Keep your hands to yourself though," He added as a slight tease, although his voice stayed level. "Let's get moving,"
