As the group was lifted over the roadblock, by the roadblock itself, Nine let out a sigh of relief as the group was on their now merry way. Seeming exhausted from the whole ordeal, Nine slumped where he sat, letting out yet another sigh. As Gwen said her comment, the houndoom merely said, "no, probably not.": Looking back towards where the legend and his disciple stood, Kushiel's words sounded in the boy's head. He was starting to understand what he meant when he talked about how strong the legends were. Sitting back up, Nine had a smile on his face as he said, "but hey, another close call, and we're all still alive. Good job team."

In comparison to their last day, the next few days on the road were more on the normal side. The group didn't run into much, if any, trouble and the carriage had simply moved along its course without any mountainous roadblocks around. While Nine tried to keep his expression up as he always had, there would be periods of time where he would simply be silent, seeming to be deep in thought. With all that had happened between meeting the godslayers and the disciple, Nine's head was in a swirl of chaos as he tried to make sense of it all. Then, the closer they got to Northshore, the more worried he got about Heather and Meloetta, knowing that there was a lot riding on him finding Jirachi.

All the same, when the group had managed to set up their camp for the night, there were people who were quite obvious about their presence. Looking over, he saw the voices belonged to a pair, an Umbreon and Jolteon, whose conversation piqued the chaser's interest. As it appeared, the two of them had already come across legends themselves, which obviously didn't just make them Chasers, but ones that were successful all the same. Nine didn't know too many of those, and the ones he did were...less than comforting to be around. All the same, they were a large group with a fire, so it only made sense that the pair had noticed them as well. While the Umbreon seemed to think the group were thieves, the Jolteon seemed to be...very ready to fight. Doing his best to act friendly Nine merely walked over to them and with a playful expression said, "sorry to disappoint madam, we aren't thieves. Just, simple travelers making our way through." He then looked toward the Jolteon saying, "and, sorry, but I couldn't happen to help but overhear. You wouldn't happen to be a chaser would you?"

"Oh no." The umbreon said.

Rei, ignoring her companion, made a thumbs up and pointed at herself. "I'm Rei, professional Chaser, at your service. I've beaten two Legends already and I'm on the hunt for a third right now."

"Two?! Well, that's pretty impressive." Nine suddenly seemed to be far more interested in Rei. Sure, he had seen his fair share of legends as well, but this girl seemed to be equally as successful as him in chasing. All the same, there was a lingering worry he had, and something he had to check first. With a skeptical look he asked, "you uh, you didn't kill them did you?"

Rei seemed taken aback. "What, no, why would I do that?"

"Maybe he plans on killing us." Noshi said flatly.

Nine let out a huge sigh of relief before saying, "sorry, sorry. I've just had the worst luck with run ins recently." He seemed to completely ignore the Umbreon before extending out a hand saying, "allow me to introduce myself. I'm Nine, also a Chaser, with a few legendary run ins myself. Pleasure to meet you."

"Don't do it Rei there's something weird about these guys." Noshi said, just loud enough to be heard.

"Nonsense, they're just regular people, put er there!" Rei grabbed Nine's hand and almost violently shook it, sending slight electric shocks through his arm.

Nine winced a bit, as his tensed up from the shock and his arm was ragdolled a bit by the girl's handshake. Letting out a slight chuckle, that had some pain in it, he said, "I assure you, I'm about as regular as they come in this line of work."

As the group had been on course to get to their new destination, Mowloo, they had run into a strange pair of gijinka. The girl's "Stranger Danger" senses were giving her all kinds of warnings as they asked her to come along. With a worried and skeptical look on her face, the girl backed away and shook her head at the offer. It was then that Randy began to start speaking with them, though the conversation seemed to be going nowhere. As the fire looking one walked over to her, she started to ask Marie her name and if she would've preferred to travel with a female companion instead of just the "smelly boys" she was currently with. Well, she couldn't argue that they could both get pretty smelly. But still girl shook her head and said, "I'm Marie and uh-"

It was then that the fire type leaned out as Randy started to let his temper get the best of him. Sighing, Marie looked to Randy with a worried expression on her face. "Hey Randy," the girl meekly said, "I uh, I need to tell you something. Could you come a little closer?" As he did, the girl seemed to bring her hand up, like she was about to whisper. However, her face became far more stern and annoyed as the hand merely gripped onto his ear. Twisting it with great force she said, "that's not how you talk to new people!" The girl shook her head saying, "honestly. I thought you learned last time. It's not good to get aggressive with people. Even if you think they're being rude you gotta still have a positive expression on your face. Now, apologize for scaring them." Her expression turned deathly serious as she glared at the man saying, "say it."

Once he apologized, the girl let go of his ear and said, "good." Looking over to the duo, her expression far more cheerful than it was a moment ago, she said again, "sorry again, for my friend's rude behavior. but he wasn't trying to trick you. We just came from Northshore and had a really bad run in with a bully called godslayer."

The two looked at each other, confused. "That guy isn't a Psychic type is he?" The Magmar said.

"No, can't be, just look at him..."

The Magmar then looked back at Marie. "Are you sure he's your friend?"

Marie nodded saying, "I'm sure. He's a bit rude some times and I have to teach him to mind his manners, but he's still a good guy overall. He's uh, also not psychic. He's fire dark."

"So you're not coming with us? The Magmar said. Meanwhile the Floatzel continued to eye Randy, as though he were looking for something

The girl looked a bit confused but said, "well, we're on our way to Mowloo so, unless you are too, then no. Um, who are you guys?"

"I'm Suzie, that's Spencer. We're from Trailsau, well, we were."

"We were picked to fight Heatran but we didn't want to."

"So we left."

"We're looking for someone we were friends with who left the city."

"They're a Tyr..."

The two looked at each other, then Randy, then each other, and shook their heads. "Nah." They both said.

"Why are you going to Mowloo?"

The girl raised an eyebrow, clearly not familiar with this "Heatran" when it was said, but still listened on. When they asked her why she was going to Mowloo she said, "well, we're not from here, and just kind of ended up at Northshore. But we couldn't stay at Northshore, so we had to pick somewhere else. Trailsau sounded dangerous, Alpha sounded weird, Adarid was too far away so that just left Mowloo."

"Well I wouldn't say Mowloo isn't dangerous in its own right..." Suzie said.

"It's full of cannibals!" Spencer replied.

"Spence, no." Suzie said. "Well, we don't know if they are or not..but there are some...primitive Gijinka that live near that area. If you go there, keep an eye out for them."

Marie seemed visibly shocked by this new information and said, "o-oh. Well, uh, I'll uh, we'll keep an eye out for them." While still seeming nervous about the whole thing she seemed to become a bit more chipper as she said, "well, uh, thanks for the warning."

Well, guess that's all then, unless..." Suzie looked at Keanu hopefully.

"So this is a legend..."

Tianzi was on the ground, still reeling from the Diamond Storm that hit him and knocked him unconscious earlier. His senses had only returned to him now, and he barely was able to see the progression of the battle. From the noises that he heard, it seemed that Taiga had entered the fray? Oh now she's actually doing it. Diancie seemed to still be at the top of her game, though Isole had apparently managed to distract her.

Tianzi gritted his teeth. He hated to think about it, but this was a humbling experience. Diancie was really the first Legendary that he came into contact with, and while Tianzi was skilled at dealing with others that were stronger than himself, Diancie was on a league of her own. He was still very weak, and no matter how much he could exploit others, that fact would not change yet. It really was right - power was  the source of respect in this world, and he lacked it for now.

In that case, he'd just feign himself to be more powerless than he actually was here. Tianzi started to charge for another Solarbeam while he was still lying motionlessly on the ground. Yeah right, if he wanted the other three to respect him, maybe he should start not being useless for once.

As Kah returned to the kitchen to retrieve more pie, she found atop her treat a note. Addressed to her, and looking rather important. The Hydreigon took a moment to look it over. It mentioned a name, a location, and that her presence was required tonight. Seemed it was urgent. The conversation with Denku would have to wait. Folding up the note - it even came with directions, how considerate! - Kah left the room, but with no pie to be found. "Sorry, but I'll have to put you on hold about Kazo for a bit. Turns out someone needs to see me tonight, and it sounded urgent. We'll pick this up tomorrow, okay?"

With that, the Hydreigon made to leave. There were places to be and people to see.

It was a peaceful sleep. Was. As Fawkes dreamt of brave knights wielding gumdrop shields and licorice lances, a voice belonging to a person who was very much not made of sweets invaded her dream, rousing her from her sleep.

"..."

Dora's voice. Fawkes's ear twitched slightly as the Zorua was pulled from her sleep. She didn't want to open her eyes. Fawkes would have much rather rolled over and gone back to sleep, but Dora had asked something of her. She was a bit hazy on what Dora had said word-for-word, but the general idea was that she had to use the restroom, and didn't want to go alone. "I'll do it," Fawkes mumbled, barely audible as she slowly got up to her feet. "Just lead the way so we can both go back to sleep when you're done."

Kazo sighed as he pulled out his poke. He had about 300 left from feeding Mac and Ari, but they were able to snag 200 from the bandits, but then 100 for the antidote, so... that left him with 400. 70 for two people... 140... okay, that was good. He put down 140 on the table. "There, 140 pokes for the two kids. Now, do you have somewhere they can bathe or shower so they don't scare away your business?" She seemed ready to deny it but, after sniffing again, tossed her hair and looked over to the side.

"The door over there leads to a bath."

"Thank you very much," Kazo says as he walks away to the door. "Alright, you two, so the plan is to let you two wash up and sleep here. I'll sleep outside for tonight, and we leave the town tomorrow," He turned to leave, but turned to look at Mac. "Oh yeah, and to answer your questions boss, we're in the town Weynon. You passed out for five days... we looked for your bag the whole time and haven't found it yet. Figured we'd get back to that as soon as your better... and what do you mean by 'try anything'?"

"Passed out? I don't pass out!" Mac said, face flushed. "Y-You must be exaggerating."

"Okay, you just fell asleep. A lot,"

She seems unable to say anything for several moments, as her face turns redder. She ends up stomping her foot and shouting at Kazo. "Don't think this means anything, I'm still the strongest!" She then rushes through the door.

Kazo tilted his head. "I never said you weren't," He placed Ari on the ground and stretched. "Alright, I better get out of this place before the lady up front calls the police or something. I'll see you all in the morning,"

Denku sighed to himself as he waited for Kah. He wanted to shake the information out of her, but no, that wasn't right. She'd tell him, it's not like she was conspiring against him. Things would turn out okay... he knew it would... Deep breaths, in and out... in and out... in and...

"Sorry, but I'll have to put you on hold about Kazo for a bit. Turns out someone needs to see me tonight, and it sounded urgent. We'll pick this up tomorrow, okay?" Denku looked at Kah and her retreating form... what? What, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, WHAT?! Denku went out the door, feel to his knees and looked to the sky.

"GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Icecrown Team Showdown

Her vision was starting to get a bit blurry as the pain considered to burn, her breath heavy and steady. Her body burned with pain from everywhere. She was so out of focus that, if she could move, she would jump as she felt something pick her up. It took her a second to register who was picking her up exactly. "Geez Scar...look what you've gotten yourself into. Fufufu." Taiga spoke, her laughter almost filled with dread. "Are you really gonna let this overgrown diamond whip ya around like this?  Ya can't let that happen, Red. Or at least...I won't let it." She wanted to respond, but couldn't find the strength to talk as she was put back down onto the snow. Taiga was right, this wasn't the end. Still, it was rather difficult for her to even get up. If only she could lift herself up...

Suddenly, she felt something sting her wounds. Turning her head as much as she could, she saw Isole, who had a Super Potion in her hand. She felt another surge of stinging, causing her to wince. However, the pain overall seemed to settle down. She could barely hear what Isole had said to her, although it sounded like a 'Thank You'. She watched as Isole and Taiga went on to take on Diancie as Scarlet felt her strength slowly coming back to her. She was able to stand up, although her legs were still a bit weak. She took a deep breath, before kneeling on the snow, letting her wings fluttering a bit before resting. Slowly, she felt her strength coming back to her, although from what she could tell she wouldn't have too much time to Roost. From the corner of her eyes, she saw a light charging from the other side of the mountain, and who she assumed was Tianzi below it.

"Isole made an opening for us, Chrome Dome!" Scarlet cocked her head back to where the battle was taking place. She started getting up. "Better give it your all, or I won't forgive ya!" Scarlet nodded, taking a few steps forward. She was feeling better than before, although not by that much. Still, she had to try and get another attack in, or at the very least distract Diancie enough for Tianzi to pull off theirs.

She aimed her claw at Diancie. "I won't lie, Diancie. I underestimated you." She continued walking towards her. "I won't make that mistake again!" She was going to be a lot more cautious this time, especially since it seemed like the legend was moving faster than she had remembered her being able to. She slammed her claws together, before breaking into a run towards her. Stronger than the pain in her legs was the adrenaline that was flowing through her blood. "Prepare yourself!"

Adarid Team Karaoke

Lok grabbed onto Gwen's hand while getting on the wagon, only to feel someone else grab his hand. Fiona's grip was definitely a lot harder than Gwens. He nearly jumped out of the wagon as Regigigas lifted the wagon above its head. One of the things keeping him from doing so, outside of common sense, was Fiona gripping his hand harder than she had when he got on the wagon. While not as strong as the Godslayer's handshake, he could swear that he could hear the sounds of his bones cracking. Or was it the wagon? Lok wasn't sure, but he knew that his hand hurt a lot. "F-Fiona, can you please... let go? You're hurting me..." He asked, trying to pull his hand out of the girls iron grip. When she did, he would grasp it softly with his other hand. He shook his head when hearing Gwen's comment, sighing. "At least we're on our way again."

The rest of the trip was rather uneventful, and eventually they did manage to get to their destination. They were confronted by 2 other gijinkas, who claimed to have defeated 2 other legendaries, which was worrying. Luckily, however, she claimed to have not have killed any of them. When Nine finished his conversation, he got up to introduce himself. "Hi. My name is Lok. It's nice to meet you both!" He waved at the pair and, noting Nine's reaction to his handshake, didn't offer one up himself. His hand had been through enough this journey.

Team Showdown, Day 28, Icecrown

"Isole!  Slow 'er down!  Maybe try that one attack from earlier on 'er again!"

The girl was smarter than she seemed...at least as far as combat went. Diancie was happy to see the girl finally take her up on the challenge. Perhaps this wouldn't be a waste of time after all...

Isole seemed uncertain. She didn't quite know if she believed Taiga. There was something different about the Legend now, yes, but Taiga had been known to make some stupid decisions at times.

In either case Isole decided to first get back away from Diancie as Taiga came crashing down towards the Legend.

Diancie, faster than Taiga in the moment, was able to drift to the side and avoid the Waterfall. Though she did get splashed by the water coming off the girl.

Usually this would be the time to attack back...but she noticed Tianzi was stirring once more. She'd finish the Xatu off quickly and not have to worry anymore about that one.

However now Scarlet was back in it and was heading straight for her. She knew of all of them this was the greatest threat to her. So she instead aimed the Power Gem that was going to be for Tianzi and shot it at Scarlet.

As the attack raced towards Scarlet, Diancie let out a gasp as a tingling feeling went through her body. Glancing behind her she noticed Isole standing with her hands outstretched.

No matter. She may be suffering from Paralysis but she was getting steadily faster by the moment. Right now she was slowed, though, so she did the first thing she could think of to protect herself.

She launched a Diamond Storm into the air. After several moments the shards fell back down around the Legend, peppering anything nearby with the shining stones.

Isole got caught in the attack, and was brought face-down into the ground from the force.

Team Alola, Day 10, Road out of Northshore

Keanu's only response to Suzie's vague inquiry was to let out a large yawn. The laid-back boy was so out of it that he had fallen asleep while walking. He still seemed a bit dazed, not quite sure what was going on at the moment.

Spencer and Suzie continued to eye Randy warily. It seemed they still weren't entirely convinced that he meant no harm.

Suzie was the one to break first. "Well if you insist." She said, kicking some gravel in disappointment.

"You better not make us regret letting you go." Spencer said towards Randy. "If we get to Northshore and find out you're some kind of...kidnapper, then you're in some deep trouble."

With that the pair left, leaving the trio once more alone.

Team Karaoke, Day 27, Road to Northshore

"I assure you, I'm about as regular as they come in this line of work."

"Hi. My name is Lok. It's nice to meet you both!"

"That one is a prankster." Noshi said suddenly, looking at Lok and, oddly, shying away from the young boy. It was perhaps the first time that Lok had been the one to frighten someone, at least while he was being compared to the others in this group.

"Is that right? Hey, Lok, wanna race?" Rei asked, eyes lighting up. "Any tricks you could pull can't outrun me; wanna try?"

Noshi shook his head. "Something is wrong here." He gaze went to Fiona.

The girl almost let out an exasperated sigh. Was everyone going to see through her these days? This was really annoying. What was the point of playing meek if everyone thought you dangerous anyway? Heck she hasn't even DONE anything lately and she's getting more suspicion than...oh, never mind.

Noshi's gaze settled on Gwen. "You. You have something. That...that lamp, give it to me, it's....wrong."

Gwen seemed surprised. The lamp was in her bag. Hidden from view. This Umbreon was no Psychic so how did he know about it? She didn't feel comfortable handing it over to the young man. Even if it was just a silly object. She felt a need to hold onto it. A need she didn't quite understand but a need nonetheless. "No." Gwen said. "It's ours, and you called us the robbers?"

Noshi's ears flattened against his head at this scolding, and he looked away from Gwen. "It's dangerous." He muttered, but stayed silent afterward, as if he was doubting his own words.

Team Neo Not Dark, Day 28, Mioter

The group would go to sleep that night in their rooms, separate from each other. Kah would return late and go right to bed without saying a word. At least that's how it would seem. She would awaken after Denku had fallen asleep. Though she wasn't going far, this time.

Meanwhile Fi was staring at Easter, who had practically fallen into a sugar coma from all the sweets he basically inhaled. She would mention to him how she wasn't surprised to see him here, looking after children once again. The Espeon claimed it was the Sylveon's calling.

"Just lead the way so we can both go back to sleep when you're done."

In the other room, Dora was nodding vigorously. She quietly started out of the room. She stepped a bit loudly and Brooke stirred in her sleep. "shhhh" Dora said, towards Fawkes, but likely to herself as well.

The left the room and Dora confessed something. "I don't know where the bathroom is..." As neither of them had this information they'd start their miniature adventure through the house. It was dark, shadows cast by the moon danced all around them, and small noises popped up constantly. Dora, through it all, seemed oblivious. She moved with confidence from one wrong location to another.

And then the two would hear voices. Dora, curiosity overtaking her, forgot temporarily her need to pee and followed the sound of the voices.

They came from another room which, when glancing inside cracked open door, would appear to be another bedroom.

In it Sebastian was speaking to someone though, unless one of the pair looked closer, it was hard to tell who. "And you really think that...thing will be enough? You don't even know what it is. And you intend to go after a Legend with it?"

"Oooh, secrets." Dora said, too loudly for Fawkes's comfort. Though it seemed that whoever it was inside's response covered up the noise.

"Well none of us really have a choice at this point, I suppose. Still, if he's really sure one will...Did you hear something?"

Team Mac, Day 25, Weynon

"Come on Ari, Kazo will be fine, let's get cleaned up." She half dragged the young lion into the bath area. It wasn't until she was already inside the bath that she realized she was now in the bath with a boy she had only met twenty odd days ago. She practically dove under the water to not be seen, clearly trying to be smooth but failing miserably. "So...what are you waiting for, get clean and lets get out of here. Over...there, at the other end, go on."

-------

The night would pass uneventfully for the group and Kazo, wherever he slept, would at most get the occasional person looking disturbed that someone would be so barbaric as to sleep on the ground.

At least, until just before Kazo fell asleep. Where he would hear a girlish chuckle. Cracking his eyes open he'd see a familiar Duskull, tossing his pack between her hands. "You really ought to be more careful." She tossed it into the air haphazardly. "Someone could easily come along and take it...again."

"Hey Randy, I uh, I need to tell you something. Could you come a little closer?"

Randy slowly turned towards Marie, hearing her ask him this. He looked down at her, letting out a deep sigh and a slight growl. Something told him he'd regret this. "Yeah...what is it?" he grumbled, crouching down to the Popplio's height. YEP! He regretted it alright!

"O-OW!!!"

"That's not how you talk to new people! Honestly. I thought you learned last time. It's not good to get aggressive with people. Even if you think they're being rude you gotta still have a positive expression on your face. Now, apologize for scaring them. Say it."

"H-HEY!! I was acting nice!" Randy grumbled as he tried to pull his head back. "They were the ones who were...OW!!! STOP!!!" he shouted, before growling some and rolling his eyes. "Alright! Alright! I'm sorry!!"

Feeling the Popplio release his ear, Randy immediately stood up and rubbed his ear slowly. That was the second time she did that...he was damn sure there wouldn't be a third. This was getting ridiculous!! He tried being nice at first with these people, and yet they jumped on him being some trickster and outright lying to them. Of course he was going to defend himself!

While he rubbed his ear, Randy listened to the conversation that Suzie and Spencer were having with Marie, apparently getting some good information out of them in general. These two were supposed to be fighting some Heatran? And apparently they were looking for someone, though he wasn't 100% who or what they were looking for. That and apparently Mowloo was full of cannibals...fantastic. As if things weren't crazy enough as it was!

"Well if you insist."

"You better not make us regret letting you go. If we get to Northshore and find out you're some kind of...kidnapper, then you're in some deep trouble."

Deep trouble? Please I'd probably take you down without a damn problem! Randy thought, wanting that to be the first words that came out of his mouth. However he only rolled his eyes a bit before sighing. "I'll keep that in mind. Regardless, safe journeys..." he said, looking down at Marie, still rubbing his ear. "And that...was uncalled for. I was perfectly polite to them...until they literally started accusing me for absolutely no reason that I'm a kidnapper and a liar. Not a big fan of being accused for stuff like that."

Ari was...never doing that again. He had pushed himself hard in that fight, maybe too hard. But, he thought, at least I was able to help.

Still, his exhaustion had been strong enough that he had...basically sleepwalked the whole trip to Weynon. He didn't really register what anybody said, or he most assuredly would have been up in arms at their treatment of his amazing big bro--friend Kazo!

He didn't really wake up until the splash of water--water--alerted him to danger, possible foes, possible--wait, was that Mac sitting there in the water? Huh, why was she so nervous, she was an electric type?

"What's wrong?" he walked over, peering at her curiously. "Are you all right? Oh wait, you were injured, weren't you?" he started to panic. "Uh oh, and I don't know how to heal or do first aid or anything either." In his flailing, he tripped and fell into the water, soaking his clothes. "Ugh," he groaned, "I hate getting wet, why do I need to bathe?" he pouted, turning to Mac. "Right? Water's so icky."

Ari was completely unaware that there was anything to be nervous about. After all, he had bathed with his mom before, sure he didn't bathe with his friend Tiana, but that was because her mom bathed her. Like that time before they were going to go to the Donphan graveyard, he caught her in the middle of being groomed by her mother after having bathed. The female Pyroar often had to drag their cubs into the water kicking and screaming, since Litleo, like most cats, did not like anything to do with water, especially being part fire type.

Easter dreamt of sugarplums dancing just out of his reach. He chased after, ignoring somebody who sounded annoyingly like Fi speaking from the sidelines.

"Most who meet you would be surprised to see you looking after children. Not I, however. Why? Because it is your calling."

The Sylveon finally grabbed the biggest sugarplum, only to frown when it turned into Dora. "Calling?" he grumbled. "There's no such thing as a calling. A sushi chef asked me to look after the children, so that's what I'm doing." He stared down at the ground. "I'm not even sure why I'm doing this anymore." At that point, another sugarplum turned into a young Eevee child, who he resolutely ignored. "Whatever. Stop invading my dreams, Fi! I'm trying to eat sweets here!" he then proceeded to run toward a giant lollipop, stopping only when it grew a Zorua tail and danced away.

In the land of the living, Easter's words would be heard only as unintelligible mumbles, but Fi seemed to understand his answer anyway. "I knew you would say that," she said, her expression turning wistful. "However, the future cares not for what you wish or believe."

Keanu made the executive decision to have Morgan stay behind. Less troublesome that way. Same for the annoying people they met on the road. Sure, Tony the Tiger looked a bit of a brute, but he had a heart of gold. Which was usually more trouble than it was worth. Still, he was too tired to summon up much energy or expression for anything.

"So..." he started. He hadn't chosen to grab a TM, rather satisfied with his moveset as it was, but he had made sure to grab food and berries. And take a look at the map. "We just keep walking?" He was a little suspicious by what the duo earlier had said, about Mowloo being full of cannibals, but it was either that or one of the other dodgy-sounding places.

"And you really think that...thing will be enough? You don't even know what it is. And you intend to go after a Legend with it?"

Hmmm? That was Sebastian's voice. Seemed he was having a late-night meeting with somebody, though Fawkes couldn't tell who from here. If she took a closer look then maybe, but there was no way she wanted anything to do with this. It was better to just move on and--

"Oooh, secrets."

"Shhhh!" Fawkes whispered, putting her hand over Dora's mouth. "Let's hurry up and get to the bathroom so you can go."

"Well none of us really have a choice at this point, I suppose. Still, if he's really sure one will...Did you hear something?"

They heard us! Gotta think of something... "Don't make a peep," Fawkes whispered. It was time for an illusion. For good measure, Fawkes put her other arm around Dora, to try and keep her from running off. Not that she imagined Dora would be the type to flee from any sort of problem. That was more the Zorua's own specialty. Like right now. Strange though it may have been, she had to run away by staying here. And turning invisible. Extending it to Dora as well was a bit tougher than Fawkes was used to. She probably wouldn't be able to hold it for very long.

"Check it out for me, would you?" Sebastian's voice came.

"I'll take a look," another voice answered. A woman's. Fawkes had heard this voice before, but couldn't quite put a finger on where. It didn't take long before she found out though.

"Check it out for me, would you?"

"I'll take a look." She couldn't imagine anyone would be snooping around this late. Kah made for the door, and opened it. She still wasn't entirely used to these sliding doors Sebastian had. Must have been a Mioter thing. She opened the door, to find... nothing. For a brief moment, Kah could have sworn she caught a glimpse of something, but it had to have just been her eyes playing tricks on her. Seemed there was nothing out here after all. "I don't see anything," she said, shutting the door behind her and returning her attention to Sebastian. "Must have been a rat beneath your house or something."

"Rats, such dirty creatures. Hopefully we won't have need for them, after..."

Dora started to scoot closer a bit, and whispered to Fawkes. "What're they talkin bout?"

"I don't know, but let's not stick around to find out."

"But...I want to explore, isn't that why we woke up?" Dora said, seemingly forgetting what she had gotten up for.

"No, you had to go to the bathroom, remember?"

"Oh that's right!" Dora said, louder than before.

"See, there it is again." Sebastian said. "I don't think that's a rat..." There was sounds of movement as Sebastian headed for the door.

"Rats don't sound like that," Kah agreed, also making for the door. As she and Sebastian opened the door again, they were met with the sight of no people, but only for a brief moment. Not long after the door opened again, they saw what looked like Fawkes and Dora fading into view right before their eyes. "...well then. What do we have here?"

"I have to pee!" Dora said suddenly, seeming almost surprised by this realization.

Fawkes nodded, to confirm what Dora had said and eager to find an easy way out of this mess. "She had to pee, and I was taking her to the bathroom. Then we heard you two talking and it startled me a bit, and... w-we didn't hear anything though! So I was just taking her to the bathroom and... we'll be on our way now."

Sebastian stepped out of the room. He had a smile on his face. "Well, not exactly rats I see. You children should be more careful where you go, it's dark, who knows what might happen to you."

"M-hm, it's dangerous at night. So we'll just hurry to the bathroom then go back to bed. Good night!"

Sebastian watched as they went, Dora waddling after Fawkes, squeezing her legs together as she repressed the urge to urinate. "Faaawkes, why didn't you tell me I had to pee sooner?"

Sebastian turned to Kah as they went out of sight, and sighed. "At least it was just the children. Hopefully we take care of this soon."

"I'm just as eager to handle it as you are. I'd like to say it should be a cakewalk, but if it was, I'd have it dealt with by now."

iU8EggM.png

Dora was in the bathroom, swaying gently back and forth. "La la lalala~"

"We could have been in big trouble," Fawkes commented. "Seems like they didn't mind though."

"Why would we be in trouble? They're nice people right?"

"They're nice people, but eavesdropping is bad. Especially when Sebastian's been so nice to us by letting us stay here and everything."

"Oh, we did a bad? Should we go say sorry?" Dora suddenly opened the door and walked into the hallway.

"No no, I'm sure they know we're sorry! Let's just go back to bed, okay?"

"Kaay...where's the bed?"

Day 29

Fawkes was stirred from her sleep once more. This time, however, it was of her own volition; nobody forcing her awake this time. She woke up to a heavy feeling across her body, and looked to the source. Dora was sleeping across the Zorua's stomach. How am I supposed to move?

"So...We just keep walking?"

"Well, what other choice do we have?" Randy asked, finally letting go of his ear before tossing his arms behind his head. "Let's be totally honest here. I think those two were probably stirring up trouble. After all, don't you think that Braviary would've mentioned if people in Mowloo were cannibals like those two said?"

Something like that definitely would've been pertinent information to be had before they decided on that direction. But then again, since they were "foreigners", they probably didn't care about their well being. Least, that's what Randy was immediately thinking. This Adarid region was a complete opposite of what Alola was for them, save a few kind-hearted souls. The rest, were pretty accusing and judgmental. And this wasn't something Randy was 100% for.

"Also..." he said, clearing his throat some. "Just know, that I'm not gonna let anything happen to you two. Keanu, I know you're a capable and dependable guy..." the Incineroar paused and nodded at the Pikachu, before looking down at Marie. "You on the other hand...Miss 'I am an adult'...I'm keeping eyes out on you specifically. I don't need a kid hurt on my conscience. I ain't about that...aight?"

Team Showdown: Icecrown Peak

Taiga frowned seeing the legend dodge her crushing waterfall, but remained confident as she stood atop of the rushing geyser of water.  She shifted positions, using her weight to direct the Waterfall back around towards Diancie, who was now aiming for Scarlet with an another attack.  When she made a full turn around, she saw Isole land a direct hit on Diancie with the attack from before.  It had noticeably been much more effective this time.  Taiga crossed her arms and snickered.

"Fufufufu!  I knew you screwed with me somehow!  No way did I feel as fast as I usually do!  That means you must've taken my speed, huh?  Not a good trade off if you ask me.  What's all that speed gonna do for ya, if ya can't even move?!  FUFUFUFUFU! Taiga was laughing, but the moment she saw Diancie launch an attack in the air, she stopped.  It was now raining gemstones at an incredible rate, and speed.  Right now, it was pelting down like a stronger hail.  Not looking to be hit by the attack, Taiga sunk into her Geyser, totally encapsulated by the forceful water.  She watched from above, as the stones, which had lost a fair amount of momentum, struck into the waterfall.  Some of the gems hit Taiga, but the force was severely weakened.  From inside the waterfall, she could see Isole land face down due to the assault of the attack.

Taiga bared her teeth, rearing her head back towards Diancie.  She swam to the edge of the waterfall, and ejected herself out towards Diancie from behind.  Her teeth became encased with Ice, as she opened her maw to bite into the legend.

Icecrown Team Showdown

Scarlet saw the rock being aimed at her and, not wanting to be knock out again, dodged it as it came towards her. However, as she dashed to the side she had to stop her mad dash towards the legends, taking a break to catch her breath. She had barely dodged this one, the stone nearly clipping her wing. Scarlet wasn't sure for how much longer she could keep dodging these stones. She watched as Isole landed some sort of electric move on Diancie, which seemed to slow her down for now. Scarlet also watched as Diancie launched another barrage of stones, this time at everyone as the rocks dropped from the heavens, ready to pelt them. "Damn it..." She cursed, being far too close to get out of the attacks range. She did her best to try and dance around the falling stones, although it was impossible to dodge all of them. Scarlet grit her teeth and, once the rocky rain was over, decided this was her chance to attack. She dashed onward towards the legend and, once she was close enough, went in with a Bullet Punch.

Adarid Team Karaoke

"That one is a prankster." Noshi said suddenly, looking at Lok and, oddly, shying away from the young boy. Was he... afraid of him? That was a first, Lok thought to himself. He was impressed, however, that the Noshi was able to identify him like that.

"Is that right? Hey, Lok, wanna race?" Lok turned to Rei. "Any tricks you could pull can't outrun me; wanna try?" She seemed really eager to get in a race. The idea sounded fun enough; he remembered the times he'd race his friends back in Alpha when he was little. Before he could answer, however...

"Something is wrong here." He turned to what seemed like Fiona at first, causing Lok to nearly jump. However, he sighed with relief when his gaze skipped passed her and went onto... Gwen? "You. You have something. That...that lamp, give it to me, it's... wrong." The lamp? How did he see the lamp? There was something special about this guy, Lok could tell. He also seemed to have a bad feeling about the lamp, just like Lok did. Gwen, of course, denied him, causing the Umbreon to back off. This was Lok's chance. Maybe he could talk reason to Gwen.

"You should give it to them..." He hesitated as he spoke to Gwen.

"I don't know about that." Gwen began. "We don't even know why they want it..." Well, she wasn't wrong. They had just met the pair, afterall. However, they seemed trustworthy enough, and Noshi specifically seemed to know things. He was able to identify him and see the lamp, afterall. If he said it was dangerous, it probably was.

Rei tapped her foot impatiently. "Who cares about some dumb lamp, I just wanna run." Lok ignored her for now, focusing on the lamp situation.

"I-It doesn't matter. He said it was dangerous!" He pointed to Noshi.

"But Lok, he's a stranger, what does he know?" Gwen paused. "No offense intended." She added to Noshi.

Noshi just continues to watch the lamp warily. "Why do you want to keep it so much?" He asked.

"Why do you want to take it?"

They look at each other, neither answering. Lok paused as well. It wasn't that he didn't trust Gwen's judgement, but...

"I dunno... he called me a pranksters, despite... knowing nothing about me..." He would pause for a second. "Can you not feel it? That... that strange aura the lamp has? Does it not make you feel uneasy?" He asked, his gaze shifting to where the lamp was.

"I feel something, I feel it's important, somehow." She answered, causing Lok to sigh. Gwen was dead set on keeping the lamp, and Lok didn't know what to say to convince her to let it go. He would have to try again later.

"I hope you're right about this..." After a long pause, he would turn to Rei. All this talk about the lamp was making Lok uncomfortable. "Sorry, you said something about a race? That sounds fun."

Rei clapped her hands together, sparks flying as she did. "That's more like it." She pointed in the distance. "It's hard to see cause, ya know, nighttime, but there's a tree waaaay over there, a mile away, let's see who can reach it first eh?"

Meanwhile, Noshi's shoulders slumped as he realized that he wouldn't get what he asked for. "Of course." He said, resigned. Lok couldn't help but feel bad about him, but he felt there was nothing else he could do. He hoped Nine could talk some sense into Gwen. Right now, however, Lok had one thing in mind.

"Run to that tree?" He pointed towards the direction, being just barely able to see the outline of a tree. He picks up a rock from the ground, bouncing it on his hand. "Got it."

"Alright, ready? Set go!"

Rei took off, speeding in the tree's direction. Instead of sprinting forward like Rei did, Lok stood where he was, pulling his hand back. He tossed the stone he had picked up as hard as he could and, as it was leaving his palm, he possessed it. The rock flew pass the girl and, as it was nearing the ground, Lok jumped out of it into a floating dash. He was ahead of the girl, but not for long as she was able to start closing in on him. As they reached the half point, Rei managed to pass Lok despite the lead he had. She waved back at him as she passed him. "I think it's time to finish this race, don't you?"

Lok was more impressed than anything, usually back at home that move would of sealed the deal for an easy win. It wasn't looking good for him; he doubted he'd be able to pick up another rock and toss it before she'd be too far ahead. He turned to Rei, an idea popping into his mind. "I think so too!" He said, his grin wide as he made a leap towards Rei, who was still relatively close to him. As he got close to the girl, he disappeared into a flash of light, entering the girl's jacket.

Rei didn't seem to notice, as her mind was focused on one thing. An aura flared around her and she took off at twice the speed. She was closing in on the tree at a very fast speed, speed which Lok was not prepared for. However, as she got close to the tree, Lok suddenly busted out of the jacket, using Rei as a support to launch himself right into the tree head first, slamming against it. Almost as soon as he knocked his head into the tree, he felt Rei slam into him, wedging him between the girl and the tree. "Ow ow ow ow ow ow ow!" He let out, nearly collapsing onto the ground as the Jolteon backed off.

"How'd you do that?" Rei said, sparks literally flying. "I don't lose races. Ever." She didn't seem to be at all happy with how things had played out. Low took a moment to brush himself off, stretching a bit.

"It's pretty simple!" He said, a wide grin on his face. "The moment you passed me I knew I couldn't outrun you, so I possessed your coat!" He said confidently, removing a twig from his hair.

"But that's not a race! That's a...uh....trick! You tricked me!" Lok chuckled at her response.

"Maybe, but you didn't say I couldn't do it."

"I'll let you off this time, because Noshi is here, but if you had tried that when I was solo I'd have trounced you."

He nodded in agreement, rubbing his hand on the back of his head "I don't doubt it! I didn't think you'd be able to overtake me after I threw that stone. You really are fast!"

"Fastest Gijinka alive." She said with a thumbs up. She then started heading back to the others, where Gwen was watching Noshi with concern and Fiona was glaring at Rei almost protectively. Lok followed her back, a dumb grin on his face. He still couldn't believe he had actually won.

Kazo looked up at the Duskull girl and sighed, sitting up and taking his bag back. "Thanks, I'll try to be more careful," He muttered, rubbing his eyes. "So what are you doing here?"

"What else?" She spun around and gestured grandiosely towards the north of the city. "The 'Princess's Palace' of course!" She craned her head back to look over her shoulder at Kazo. "Something with a name like that is bound to be full of treasure." He looked on to where she was gesturing.

"Well, I guess, but that might not be the case," He shrugged. "Who knows," He looked at her. "So, you know that bag you took? The third one? Do you still have that, or did you sell it off or... something?"

"This one?" She reached under her shirt and pulled the bag out. Oddly there hadn't been a bulge before she did so and it looked like nothing had changed after. "There's not really much in here to sell, maybe one thing, but I did just get into town ya know."

"Well, how much do you want for it?" He asked. Right now, he was feeling pretty desperate for anything good to happen to him right now.

"Buying back your own stuff? I like it. It's like stealing from you twice, truly a master thief." She looked at the bag, then Kazo. "How much you got?" Kazo just robotically looked through his bag.

"230 pokes, a ground gem, two potions, and an Oran Berry," Kazo said. He had a very bad feeling that it wouldn't be enough, but he had to try.

Kaitlin's face fell. "That's it?" She put a finger to her chin, slowly spinning in place, thinking. Then, with a snap of her fingers, she pointed at Kazo. "I got it, help me get into the Palace and its all yours." Kazo sighed and shook his head.

"I knew it, I knew it," He muttered as he stood up, stretching a bit. "So, you're telling me that you want me, some guy who's only trying to take care of two kids after they somehow made enemies out of Arceus damned Godslayers to help you steal from a princess, and have a town who already thinks I'm a thug actually have reason to think that?

...And yet, I'm actually considering it because I just want that damn bag back. What has my life become?"

"That's exactly it, glad you can keep up. I'll tell you what, I'll give you some time to think about it. I won't make my move till tonight. Meet me by that big ol' tree when you've decided."

"Right, right. I'll let you know," He said as he sat down, yawning and placing his bag under his head like a pillow. He just wanted this bad day to end so they could move on. He wanted to leave this town, but he had to tell Mac... and he knew this wouldn't go well.

After his scream into the sky, Denku felt... exhausted, drained, and in need of sleep. He went to the room and dropped like a rock, soon falling asleep.

Brooke plucked Dora up off of Fawkes, yawning. “Alright, upsa-daisy,” she grumbled. “Sleep well you two?” she asked, struggling to wake up herself. She was normally a morning person, but somehow she felt as if she hadn’t gotten any sleep at all.

“How about we wrestle us up some breakfast?”

With the strange encounter having ended, the two gijinka leaving, it seemed there was nothing else in the way of the group going to Mowloo. While they were about to start going, with Keanu saying something about moving forward, Randy had seemed to take issue with her having tried to discipline for him getting super angry with the two. As the incineroar continued to speak about their situation, Marie was definitely not a fan of people who wanted to eat her, and thus wanted to believe that the thing about the cannibals wasn't true. Randy then seemed to get more serious about the matter, which caught the Popplio off guard, though at the end of it all she said, "uh, um, thanks Randy. I don't want anything happening to either of you either, so don't go getting yourselves into big trouble." The girl then huffed saying, "and I am and an adult, even if I'm not biggest or strongest one."

Nine wasn't at all surprised by the somewhat hyper and scatterbrained nature that Rei seemed to have. What did surprise him, however, was the sudden demand from Noshi. Nine hadn't even seen the lamp for awhile, but the umbreon seemed to not only know about it, but also knew that it was strange. Nine eyed the trio that seemed to be locked in this tussle about what to do with a lamp, and he couldn't help but be curious as to how intense all three of them seemed to be on the issue. Once Lok had been pulled away by Rei, he eyed the duo that remained, Gwen seeming to be definitely suspicious of Noshi and Noshi seeming quite uncomfortable Stepping in he said, "now now, no need to get so worked up. It definitely has an odd feeling to it, and I take it you know why that is?" He looked to the umbreon.

"I don't, why, do you?" Noshi said, suddenly looking evasive.

Definitely suspicious. "No." Nine calmly shook his head. "To be honest, the whole thing confounds me. It's a lamp, so you're supposed to poor oil into it, right? But the thing won't even open." Nine seemed to have a confused expression on his face when he said this. He figured that the nervous Umbreon would eventually say something if he kept prodding him in the correction direction.

"What's a lamp if it's not a lamp." Noshi said, shaking his head.

Nine raised an eyebrow at this question. it was certainly a curious one, and something that had him try to take on a new line of thought. If it wasn't a lamp, than that meant it wasn't meant to set something on fire or shed light. Which meant it was just a container with a really hard to unseal lid. Nine merely blurted his thoughts aloud, saying, "I guess the closest thing would be a jar."

Noshi was looking increasingly agitated. He was scratching at his face and staring at a point on the ground. "What's a jar for?"

Nine wasn't sure why the boy was starting to get way more nervous, but he felt that it just meant that he was on the right track. With a bit more thought Nine seemed to start to reach a realization in what Noshi was saying as he said, "to store something." After a brief pause he bluntly asked, "do you know what's stored in that lamp?"

Noshi stopped scratching his face and looked up at Nine, looking surprised. "Store something..." Then he quickly looked down and the scratching resumed. "I don't know."

"Well, then do you know how to open it?"

"Only that which brings life can wash away sin." Noshi furrowed his brow and looked over at the lamp. Then back at Nine. "No."

"Uh, what?" Nine was clearly caught off-guard by the sudden, and oddly poetic, answer.

Noshi looked back at the ground, his ears flattening. "Nothing." He muttered.

Nine raised an eyebrow at the man seeming to retreat away from the conversation, and saw Rei and Lok coming back from their race. He didn't watch it, but given the expressions on their faces, it was pretty clear to tell who had won. "Perfect," Nine clapped his hands together. "Well, Noshi, either you're messing with us or, more likely, you know more than you're letting on. In either case, I'm way more interested in the lamp than I was a few minutes ago. So, unless we all want to work together to open it now, I'd like to hold onto it myself." While Nine was being blunt about the whole thing, it was clear that there was a sense of enthusiasm in his voice towards the first option.

So far, Diancie had managed to not attack Tianzi while he recovered. The energy that he had gathered so far was plentiful, though he wouldn't be able to waste them. He needed to find a good opening to surprise Diancie, and he might actually be able to make a change. He still had his teleports after all, but after this all his cards would be known by the legend, and he would need to think of new ones on the fly from then on.

Hearing a splash coming from the distance, Tianzi used that moment as his signal. He used Teleport to reappear right on top of Diancie as Taiga went to attack her with an icy bit while Scarlet attacked with a bullet punch. On Tianzi's hand, a light was shining, and he wasted little time to lock it on at Diancie at point-blank range.

Whatever he yelled at that time was drowned by the sound of his Solar Beam firing.

Team Alola, Day 10, Road to Mowloo

After two more days of easy travel, the group would find themselves in the midst of a jungle. The land became more difficult to traverse, even on the road, and fallen logs, wet ground, and dense trees caused their travel to be slowed greatly.

To add to it, one of the group would eventually slip and fall into the nearby water, where some kind of creature was disturbed from its rest and began to head for the hapless adventurer. It wouldn't be difficult to pull them out but the one who fell would be soaked through and would cause them further discomfort as they went about their trip.

Once they managed to deal with that it would be two more days of travel before they found anything different than what they had seen so far. A river, which cut across the land and seemed to go on for quite some distance. According to the map they had been given this river could take them right next to Mowloo. Though they'd need a boat.

Thankfully there was a boat resting on the shore near the river. Though it was more a raft than anything. And a man lay sleeping atop the raft. The first to approach the man would feel something under their foot move. They had stepped upon a large, green, anaconda. Which immediately wrapped around their body and began to squeeze.

Team Mac, Day 25, Weynon

"What's wrong? Are you all right? Oh wait, you were injured, weren't you?"

No, no, don't come closer, idiot. Mac hissed in her head, covering herself as the all too innocent boy approached her.

"Uh oh, and I don't know how to heal or do first aid or anything either."

And now he was panicking, moving around without heeding his safety, causing Mac to let out a sigh of annoyance. She just wanted to get this bath over with and get out of here before...

That...happened.

Ari fell into the water, causing a large splash, drenching himself, and what parts of Mac weren't in the water, with the warm water.

Mac stood instinctively, wanting to be sure her...lackey was alright. As was only appropriate for the leader.

"I hate getting wet, why do I need to bathe?" he pouted, turning to Mac. "Right? Water's so icky."

Mac paused, one hand outstretched, right before Ari. She blushed from head to toe as she realized she was standing there, nude, in front of this boy. Quickly she covered herself up again.

As she noticed Ari seemed to not even realize what the issue was, Mac began to relax just a bit. And with that relaxing she decided to make sure the stupid boy wasn't hurt.

"Ari...you're unhurt right?" She let out a sigh. "You're an idiot sometimes, you've got to be more careful." Her tone went from nervous to scolding in record time. "One of these days you're going to get yourself hurt and I won't be there to save you, and what are you gonna do then?" She pouted back at the boy. "If a little water like this is going to beat you then maybe you aren't so tough after all."

She then turned away and moved once more to the farther end of the bath, still self-consciously trying to cover herself up while bathing, not the easiest task.

-----

Once the pair had bathed, ate, and slept the night away, they would awake feeling more refreshed than ever. Having slept in an actual bed for the first time in a long while. Mac was literally bouncing with energy as they left the inn and found Kazo, who seemed to not have nearly a good rest as they had. "There you are, did you find anything worthwhile out here? I hope you've been gathering information. Also, I think we should go to the store and get some more medicine. Just in case...Just in case one of you gets hurt."

Team Neo Not Dark, Day 29, Mioter

Dora awoke to finding herself in the air. What magic was this? Did SHE turn into a floating city while she slept? Then she noticed that Brooke was holding her up, above Fawkes, whom she had been using as a bed just moments prior. "Oh hello, good morning, I slept awesome! Fawkes is good to sleep on, hi Fawkes!" she smiled at the girl from up above. "Wrestle? I can wrestle! It's kinda hard with these but I can do it!" As she said 'these' she wiggled her shoulders and, in extension, her naturally weak arms.

Her stomach growled then and she let out a gasp. "Oh, well, we should probably eat food before wrestling it though."

Upon leaving their rooms the group would find that Fi was already up, standing in the middle of the hallway, seemingly contemplating something. Once they got her attention, she'd let them know that Sebastian and Kah both had left already to take care of some business they both had and that Sebastian had told them to feel free and get the servants to make whatever food they wished.

Team Showdown, Day 28, Icecrown

Diancie, still about an equal level of speed as Taiga, was ready to shoot a Moonblast right into the Sharpedo's open maw. However for a brief moment her body seized up and she wasn't able to raise her arm high enough to attack. Taiga's Fang bit into Diancie's side, causing the Legend to feel pain course through her body.

She noticed Scarlet dodging her attacks, and getting ready to move in for an attack, and she had been focused on that...until Tianzi teleported right above her. Diancie smiled sadly at the Xatu. "I hadn't seen you, thanks for bringing yourself to my attention." And as Tianzi fired her laser, Diancie launched a Diamond Storm up at the Xatu. Where Tianzi had hoped to strike Diancie at close range it was instead Tianzi who was hit.

Though the distraction did provide Scarlet the time to reach Diancie with a punch, striking the girl's chest and causing the Legend to cry out in pain.

She was launched backwards and, Taiga still attached, she fell to the ground.

However she wasn't down just yet and she aimed once more at Taiga, prepared to hit her with a Moonblast even while she bite down onto her rock-hard body.

Team Karaoke, Day 27, Road to Northshore

Gwen wasn't sure what to think of the unusual Umbreon. But the more he and Nine talked the worse she felt for the boy. He was clearly suffering from some issues, and he didn't seem to understand himself why he had been so adamant. She felt bad for snapping at the poor boy, and was going to try and comfort him, when the other two returned from their race. "Sorry, Lok, I should have been paying more attention." She said, ashamed that she had missed what, judging from the boy's face, was a moment of triumph. Given his expression, though, she figured he had done well. So she told him so. "Congratulations nonetheless."

"Yes yes congrats." Fiona said, approaching the two. "What do you think you're trying to pul-hey!" Rei ignored Fiona, and marched right past them, leaving Fiona to glance awkwardly at Lok. "Um, good job? You were...c-clever." She said, falling back to her meek tone immediately after realizing she let something else slip out.

However all eyes were on Rei as she approached Nine. Or, more specifically, Noshi. She put her arm around the boy's shoulder and pulled him in. He rested his face against her, staring at the ground once more, seemingly not really paying attention to the world around him. "What did you say to him?" Rei said sharply, sparks crackling around her. "Did you hurt him?" Her happy go lucky attitude from before had been replaced by one of anger. And it seemed she was ready to attack Nine.

Team Showdown: Icecrown Peak

As Taiga's teeth made contact with the Legend, she began to voraciously move her head side to side.  Her serrated teeth doing work, as she bored into the Legend's flesh.  However, Diancie seemed hardly phased by this assault, able to continuously make attacks, as Taiga was still attached to her.  Was she taking Taiga seriously?  That would be a mistake that this big oversized diamond would come to regret!  However, Taiga could feel, as Scarlet impacted Diancie, that the Legend's whole body shook to it's core.

"Fufufu!  Didn't like that now did ya!?"  Taiga said, with her mouthful.  Diancie then pointed an attack at Taiga, one similar to that of the one shot at Tianzi earlier.  That attack would surely make Taiga look like Isole in no time quick, especially from this range.  It was hard for her to think quick as well, or even move for that matter.  Taiga's fangs were embedded deep within Diancie's skin, and it was difficult to pull them out as quickly.  Instead, a genius idea popped into her head.  Diancie was falling, but that didn't mean that Taiga had to too.

"Going up?!"  Taiga said, as from beneath the two, a pillar of water began to raise from the ground, pushing up against Taiga's feet, and rising her into the air.  The force, and speed, was great enough to dislodge Taiga from Diancie.  She winked at the falling Gijinka, hoping that they would get pounded by the water as well as they fell.  "Sayonara sucker!"  She stuck her tongue out, as she ascended higher into the air.

“Sleep well you two? How about we wrestle us up some breakfast?”

As if to magically answer the question of how Fawkes was supposed to get up while Dora was on top of her, Brooke was there to remove the larger girl from atop Fawkes's midsection, allowing the Zorua to get up to her feet. Once up, Fawkes gave her arms and legs a lazy stretch to greet the day, while Dora went on about wrestling food and how it was better to eat it first. She was pretty sure Dora didn't get the point. Once the group got out of the room, Fawkes noticed Fi, who seemed to be thinking about something. It was fine to just say good morning, right?

"Mornin' Fi," Fawkes yawned. That seemed to grab her attention for a bit. In her groggy state, Fawkes couldn't remember what the Espeon said word-for-word, but the gist of it was that Sebastian and Kah had some business to see to today, and had already left. However, they were free to get the servants around here to make whatever they wanted. Fawkes, for one, wanted pancakes. There was just the matter of finding a servant.

The travel so far to Mowloo was actually quite easy and laid back. Unfortunately, they finally hit a jungle on their adventure. It wasn't too much to see a jungle around Alola, one Randy could remember being on Akala Island. Nevertheless, it wasn't all fun and games throughout the trek. No, they had to overcome fallen logs, wet ground, and dense trees.

Great...first it's nice and sunny beaches...to being stuck in a dense jungle. Randy thought, shaking his head as he fought his way through the dense foliage that were in their way. Not exactly the best choice of trying to up the last area...

A bit later throughout the adventure through the jungle, Randy turned to see Marie slip and fall into nearby water. At first, Randy didn't think much of it, but then he remembered that this was a jungle and it probably wasn't a good idea for Marie to fall into the water. Sure enough, the Incineroar watched some sort of creature being stirred from their rest and began to head towards the Popplio.

"Here, grab on, Marie." Randy said quickly, holding out his hand towards the young girl. Once she grabbed a hold, he pulled out of the water and out of the reach of the creature. "That was close. And try to watch your step there, Marie." he said, a little sad that the young girl was pretty soaked because of this. But right now, they had to keep going.

Thankfully, the trio found the boat near the shore of this river and there lazing around was a man...a Pyroar by the looks of it. Randy let out a sigh of relief as he decided to be the first one to head over towards him.

"Hey! This y-" Randy stopped suddenly as he felt something under his foot. Letting out a low curse under his breath, the Incineroar slowly had his gaze head towards the ground and he saw it: a green anaconda. Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit....

"M-Marie...Keanu...stay ba-ACK!" Randy shouted, as he felt the anaconda now starting to wrap around his body and proceed to squeeze. "N-Ngh...w-well...now I got a point of reference...when people ask about...h-how hard those Ursaring Hugs should b-EEEEE!!"

Kazo groaned as he heard voices waking him up. He didn't want to wake up right now, he just wanted to rest. Why was it so hard for him to get? Just a little rest... He opened an eye to see Mac looming over him. She looked much better, at the very least.

"There you are, did you find anything worthwhile out here? I hope you've been gathering information. Also, I think we should go to the store and get some more medicine. Just in case...Just in case one of you gets hurt."

"Store sold out of medicine, we took the last antidote for you." Kazo commented. "Someone in town was buying a whole bunch of them, apparently it's a regular thing," he thought to himself. "Last night, I met the thief that stole your bag. I tried to buy it back, but to no avail. She wants me to help break into a princess's palace to get it back," He added as he stood up. "She wants to meet me by 'the big ol' tree' tonight when I make my choice," He groaned as he stretched to crack his back, and then his neck. "So, we can either be thieves, skip town, or try to jump the girl and get your bag back. Your choice. Except the helping her break in. I refuse to do that," He yawned a bit as he rolled his shoulder. He must have slept on it funny. "We got until night though, so I guess you can take your time,"

Denku had a restless sleep last night, but still managed to wake up on time to head over with the rest of the group. Apparently both Sebastian and Kah had left for the day, which was perfect. He made sure the group was in the room before addressing them.

"So, a couple of things," He said. "First, apparently Kah has some info on my brother's location, so I'll have to try to pry it out of her later," He rolled his shoulder, grunting a bit. He must have slept on it funny. "Secondly, do you remember the 'Child' Lugia told us about and asked us to protect? I think I found her," He took a second to let the others to react before continuing. "We're supposed to get some straight answers today at noon, at the Psychic Guild. I'm going to head out there, and I was told to 'bring my allies', which would be all of you. Hopefully, it won't take more than an afternoon,"

Icecrown Team Showdown

Scarlet was surprised to see her attack connect, sending the legendary and her friend flying backwards. She watched as Taiga managed to dislodge herself from the stony body of her opponent with a quick Waterfall, sending the shark up while letting the legend drop. She took the moment of peace to take a quick breath, slowly performing a Swords Dance. Once she felt she had waited enough, she began her dash towards where Diancie landed, prepared to strike the legend as soon as she could.

Lok returned to the group and, much to his dismay, Nine was now interested in the lamp as well for whatever reason. In fact, he sounded was too enthusiastic about the whole situation. "Sorry, Lok, I should have been paying more attention." He turned to Gwen. "Congratulations nonetheless." His guess was that they had a talk about the lamp while Lok was away racing. Further confirming this was when Rei marched pass Fiona as she was talking. The Jolteon's chipper attitude seemed to have faded away as she confronted Nine about Noshi.

"Um, good job? You were...c-clever." Lok turned to Fiona, who had approached him.

"O-oh... Thanks!" He grin, although he almost immediately shifted his eyes towards the others. "So..." He turned back to the girl with a more nervous look on his face. "W-what exactly happened while I was away? You know, about the lamp 'n stuff... Why is he so interested in it now?" Without realizing it, his eyes had shifted again towards the others, this time specifically at Nine. Once he realized what he was doing, he quickly and nervously turned back to Fiona.

"Ari...you're unhurt right?" Mac let out a sigh.

Ari stood up straight at that. How dare she. How dare she! Say that he wasn't tough, by the Lifebringer, Ari would prove how tough he was! He was going to be the toughest, kingliest of all lions! Maybe even of all gijinka! Water was just...water. It was uncomfortable and wet and ugh! He shuddered at the thought. "Hey, I so am tough!" he glared at the electric type. "I just don't like water, is all!"

The next morning, after seeing Kazo, the Helioptile started speaking. "There you are, did you find anything worthwhile out here? I hope you've been gathering information. Also, I think we should go to the store and get some more medicine. Just in case...Just in case one of you gets hurt."

"Store sold out of medicine, we took the last antidote for you." Kazo commented. "Last night, I met the thief that stole your bag. I tried to buy it back, but to no avail. Ari, who had opened his mouth to greet Kazo energetically, paused, then closed it, thinking. "Wait, that was...was that that one girl?" he asked. "The cool hat one? Wait, she wants us to break into a princess's palace?! Whoa!" his eyes went wide. "That sounds cool!"

Easter woke up alone in the room. Upon leaving, he found out why. Fi was standing in the hallway like the weirdo she was, lost in thought, but that didn't stop her from looking up before he even finished closing the door, her eyes flickering to Fawkes who was also nearby and had greeted her. "Hello," she said in her usual monotone. "Before you ask, Sebastian and Kah both left to take care of matters. Sebastian also told me to tell you that you can ask the servants to make whatever kind of food you would wish to have." She stared at Easter for a second more before adding, "Though I know it is futile, I would warn you against overdosing on sugar again."

The Sylveon rolled his eyes at her, "I eat what I want. And what I want right now is a huge platter of waffles. With berries, berry syrup, and whipped cream, with extra whipped cream."

"Then go find a servant." The Espeon turned away, "Before you look, there is one standing near where we ate yesterday. Or she will be, that is."

Before he could, however, Denku spoke up. "So, a couple of things," He said. "First, apparently Kah has some info on my brother's location, so I'll have to try to pry it out of her later," He rolled his shoulder, grunting a bit. "Secondly, do you remember the 'Child' Lugia told us about and asked us to protect? I think I found her," He paused for a second before continuing. "We're supposed to get some straight answers today at noon, at the Psychic Guild. I'm going to head out there, and I was told to 'bring my allies', which would be all of you. Hopefully, it won't take more than an afternoon."

Easter blinked. To think they would find that child so soon. However, something about the idea of finding her, and then probably protecting her, grated on him. He wasn't a damn babysitter, even if it was starting to look like it! He pursed his lips, about to make an unkind comment on that, when he paused, glancing at the two kids, and responded with an "All right, but unless this is really urgent, I'm going to find food first." Hopefully this won't end up with us looking like teachers on a school outing.

Sure enough, he did find a servant where Fi had pointed out, and with a disgruntled mutter, gave his breakfast order. With some...additions. Such as pancakes, muffins, cereal, crêpes, sweet bagels with sweet cream cheese, french toast, regular toast with jam, and crumpets with marmalade. Yes, he liked sugar. Was there a problem with that?

Going south had them through what looked like a jungle. Keanu was used to jungles, but he still preferred places with beaches and sunny surfs. Not...dense forests and rivers you couldn't even get a good wave on.

A splash alerted him to activity in the nearby water and he looked over to see Marie fall in.

Randy was the first to react. "Here, grab on, Marie." The Incineroar said quickly, holding out his hand towards the young girl. Once she grabbed a hold, he pulled out of the water and out of the reach of the creature. "That was close. And try to watch your step there, Marie."

Keanu, on the other hand, was more interested in what was in the water. He didn't see much more than its eyes and the top of its head, though it looked to have a long snout. There was also something vaguely unsettling about it, so he was glad to move on from that area.

Eventually the group reached a river as well as a raft. According to the map, if they could take the raft down the river, they'd reach Mowloo in no time. Randy let out a sigh of relief and headed toward him, but was soon impeded by a giant snake.

Keanu's first instinct was to use Thunder Wave on the snake. But it was currently wrapped around Randy, who, while rather hardy, was also right above the water. If he got paralyzed right over it and fell in, well...that wouldn't be very good. Especially if there were more creatures like that other one they'd seen. No, he would have to think of some other way to save the hapless tiger. Eyes roving over the area, he spotted the sleeping Pyroar and approached. If the man was a native, then he probably knew how to deal with snakes.

"'Ey, you there!" he called out, the sound of his voice hopefully waking the man up. "Can you help a braddah out here? There's this giant snake attacking my friend!" he pointed at Randy tangled up in the snake in case it wasn't obvious.

While the journey to Mowloo had started uneventful, bar the strange encounter they had a few moments prior, things did not last that way for long. It didn't take long for the group to eventually stumble upon trouble though. Walking through the jungle, Marie was at first a bit concerned with the area they were walking through. She didn't have anything against the great outdoors, but she hadn't gone through many, if any, jungle in her life. She did, however, read many children's stories about young gijinka wandering through forests, and those never ended well for the children and forests were like jungles. While Marie was old enough to know they were only stories, she still couldn't help but seem nervous at every rustling branch and or strange noise. During this walk, the girl eventually stepped on a large collection of branches, snapping them. Being startled by it, the girl's other foot jerked, slipping on the wet ground and causing her to slip and fall into a nearby body of water.

Panicking a bit at first, being submerged under the water so suddenly, the girl began to flail around a bit before she remembered she knew how to swim. Kicking her way to the top, the girl saw that the others were concerned for her, and grabbed onto Randy's hand as he hoisted her out of the water.Trying to shake the water off, the girl felt a chilly afterwards, and given that she couldn't just change into new clothes, felt a bit uncomfortable as well. With Randy telling her to watch her step the girl meekly said, "thanks. I'll, uh, pay more attention." Being a bit embarrassed that something like that had happened to her, the girl didn't say anything more. The walk continued until the group eventually had gotten to the river. However, as Randy seemed to misstep this time, Marie freaked out a bit and started to try to pry the snake off of him. With much effort, the girl started to pull back yelling, "hey! Let go of him!"

Nine was curious to see as to whether or not Noshi wanted to join in on opening the lamp now, but the Umbreon seemed less than eager. In fact, he seemed to start spacing out, making Nine only more curious about him, only for the Jolteon to come back. As she charged in, she got incredibly defensive of the boy, and the fury she had in her eyes towards the houndoom was very clear. Putting his hands up he said, "I assure you Miss Rei, I did not harm him. We were just having a conversation about our lamp. He seemed to know some things about it so I asked him and he just sort of got like this." Nine tried his best to look non-threatening to the Jolteon, as getting into a random fight was the last thing on his list of things to do today.

Curses. Tianzi took the cue too late, and as his Solar Beam would be fired, Diancie had regained her focus to assault him with another Diamond Storm, managing to hit him directly and whiffing the Solar Beam. The gemstone assault threw him away, and he only managed to survive due to his willpower reviving him for a second time. He could feel the psychic energy buildup from his second revival, and so he started to think on what would he do now.

Taiga had dislodged herself from Diancie utilizing a burst of water while the two were falling, Diancie would soon hit the ground, and Scarlet had already rushed towards where the Legendary would land. Not looking forward to attempt a point blank blast again, Tianzi positioned himself in a favorable position, and when the Legend came into view clearly, he wasted no time to launch a powerful Psychic assault towards her using the psychic energy buildup within him, hoping to at least lock her in place until Scarlet could dock her.
