Team Showdown - Groudon's Mountain

Taiga was dreaming of eating again in Rayquaza's palace...she had really worked up an appetite in this whole fight that she was starting to get hungry again.  That's when something was put in her mouth, and she instinctively chomped down on it.  Her skin started to crawl, as the taste brought her to her senses.  She sadly swallowed, and let out a rather pathetic, "Bleh".  Her eyes started to open, as the scene in front of her started to come into view.  Groudon knelt on the ground in defeat.  The lights that had traced his body were now faded.

"Go team."

Taiga snickered, and put a fist in the air.  It was sore.  Everything was.

"It was all me!  Leave it to Taiga the Terrible to save the day once again!  FUFUFUFU! She said, before her face fell back into the dirt.  "Ow..."

"Eh, that's a title...," Kazo muttered. "Kings, Emperors, Gods, whatever. They can all be bad people or good people," He said with a shrug.

Ari gaped at him, unable to comprehend this. What. Kings could be...bad? How could that be? His father was...had been an amazing ruler, gentle and just, and a great father too. He wanted to be just like him someday, be a great king as well. And someday, he would be. To him, a king was an ideal, and the kind of person he eventually wanted to be.

But...if he became king, and was bad...then maybe, that was what Kazo meant? That was so weird.

"Anyways, should we get going, or are we resting for a night?"

"Yeah, let's...rest," Ari's words were split by a jaw-cracking yawn. Soon afterward, they prepared for bed.

The rest of the trip throughout the forest was pretty uneventful, but not in a bad way. The woods near Weynon were thick and there wasn't much room to walk sometimes but at least nobody attacked them. That was a good thing. However, five days out, they came upon a forest of mushrooms. The ground was wet where they walked and seemed to be covered in a fog that blocked the view of the ground and went up to their ankles. As Ari took his first steps, his drowsiness, which was something easily ignored before, started to overwhelm him. His body felt fuzzy all over, like his mind did when he got sleepy.

"Mm...this is nice," he muttered, blinking sleepily. "We should rest here...zzz," he stumbled and fell flat on his face, but didn't really feel like getting up right about then.

"If you want me to, I could throw her at you so you can get your revenge," Denku joked.

Dora gasped dramatically as Denku suggested this. Then she gave a big smile. "Do it do it do it! I can tag her especially good if I'm flying through the air!" The girl began to wiggle in his grasp and motioning her arms as though she were swimming mid-air.

"Nah, that's probably not the best idea," Easter joked back. "She could damage something...like the ship."

"So whose kid is that anyway?" Clyde grunted, gesturing at Dora. "Seems a bit odd to be traveling with someone so....innocent." He then smacked his forehead. "Oh but wait that's not what we're here for. Didn't ya want to have a tussle? The gang's mostly all here so if you want now's a good time."

"Yeah, that's Brooke's kid," Easter said. "Not literally, though, I think she took her in. She's a different sort than us, though maybe not so different," he said, thinking about the small Eevee that had become the ship's darling. "But you're right, I probably should," he sounded a little reluctant, having enjoyed himself with Dora, before excitement started to tingle through his veins. "I wonder...do you have any recommendations?" he asked, eyes fixed on the water type heading downstairs. Still, she had just finished a battle, even if she hadn't really done much before it ended, so she might not be the best choice.

Brooke would be proud of him. He had finally learned some restraint. Speaking of Brooke...where was she? He glanced around the ship, upcoming battle momentarily forgotten in his concern.

The other Pikachu had an eerily similar moveset aside from the kick. Keanu wasn't in the best position to appreciate it though, still being held up by Yveltal. Soon afterward, he was tossed at Randy, whose arm was glowing, like a brick. The Incineroar had undoubtedly been about to attack.

"Maikaʻi hele, Keanu!" Randy congratulated, setting him on the ground. The Incineroar then lunged at the flying type, a fiery projection of a jaw in front of him closing its fangs. It was then that the other two's attacks hit, causing the legendary to screech and rose several feet into the air, launching another of her dark beams Randy's way.

The two then competed to see who had the best ranged attack, but the legendary's was stronger, cutting through Randy's attack. She then disappeared. Keanu glanced around for her and saw just as she slammed a fist onto the other Pikachu's back.

She flapped her wings once more and rose up several feet into the sky. "You have no chance beating me like this. Your Auras are too small individually. If you truly want victory then come at me together with everything you have!...Or should I finish this now and continue my judgement on those beings of chaos who bring strife to this place?"

"Come at you with everything we have? That a challenge, then?" Keanu smirked, but the other Pikachu was faster, rising to their feet nearby.

"Hit her with everything!" As the flying type swooped down on the Pikachu, they shouted out "Now!" and grabbed at Yveltal, slamming their glowing pink knees into the legendary's back in an impromptu turnabout.

"K'den," Keanu said. They couldn't hold back, could they? He had to get this battle done and over with as soon as possible, so he could go back to sleeping. Something he still never got to do. Grumbling to himself, he unleashed a net of electricity that sunk into the ground and caused it to glow bright yellow. Everybody standing on the ground would feel a strange tingle jolt through their bodies, their minds becoming alert, even Keanu's normally drowsy self.

Soon afterward the Pikachu's cheeks sparked, and his tail whipped down. He jumped on it, and slid forward toward Yveltal, hovering slightly above the ground due to the interaction of the electricity in the ground and the electricity in his tail. "Charged...Currentcruiser!" As he moved, he gained momentum, attempting to crash right into Yveltal in a burst of electricity before whipping out of there just as fast as he came and jumping off of his tail. The ground, however, still glowed bright yellow.

"Surf's up, brah." He was awake now, and he would make the legendary pay for interrupting his nap time.

Groudon's Mountain Team Showdown

As Scarlet and Tianzi landed their blows onto Groudon, the scizor watched as the legend stumbled back, before admitting defeat. Scarlet's face shifted to a rather goofy grin, feeling the rush of victory flow in. "We... we did it..." She muttered weakly, turning to see Tianzi. She saw that Taiga was ok too, loud as usual. Scarlet chuckled as Isole and Taiga spoke, although she wasn't able to hear them. Their voices become muffled as Scarlet collapsed then and there, her exhaustion finally catching up to her. "Good... job... team..." She managed to say before falling face first onto the dirt. If anyone of them got close to check on her, they would hear her lightly snoring.

With the rest having been had, Nine got himself up, stretching out a bit. His body was still sore from the day prior's events; in fact he probably could've just spent the entire day resting. All the same, he had a task to do and one that he hadn't much time to accomplish. As the group got out, he looked up to see a sudden light drizzle began to fall on them. Nine couldn't help but smile as he saw the people around start to freak out a bit and the legend who was, likely, the cause of it try to assure them. As Gwen asked Nine what to do next, the man start to think on it. "I can't imagine there are too many people in the city, if any, who would know. I suppose if we could see about asking the guard captain. But, the man's story also took place near the beach, so why don't we check out there first?"

Marie's eyes went a bit wide as Randy took yet another big attack. Looking over to the legend, as they continued to goad the group into fighting them, Marie felt a rising sense of frustration building in her. Gritting her teeth, the girl watched as the strange Pikachu strike at the legend, only to eat a large attack in return. The girl seemed fearful for the pikachu's safety, though as he shouted out to strike back at it, the girl briefly pushed these worries aside and reflexively shouted her same floral pink pulse of energy at the legend at the same time that Keanu had moved to strike with his electricity.

Randy was yet again knocked back quite a ways, taking a Focus Blast at close range. He began to grit his teeth, while taking his left hand to wipe away the dirt that was currently on his face. T-Tch...she ain't playin' around...

"You have no chance beating me like this. Your Auras are too small individually. If you truly want victory then come at me together with everything you have!...Or should I finish this now and continue my judgement on those beings of chaos who bring strife to this place?"

Y-Ya don't think we're trying? Randy thought, slowly starting to stand back up, just about the time that "Keanu" was being struck by Yveltal's Sky Attack. However, now the "Pikachu" was doing some wily stuff and now on the Legendary's back, with a powerful knee slam.

"Hit her with everything! Now!"

"K'den...Charged...Currentcruiser!"

Needless to say, Randy was actually impressed with Keanu's little Charged Currentcruiser technique...and was even more surprised that now he was pretty alert too. "Heh...well I'll be...didn't know you had this type of power workin' for ya, Keanu." he muttered, clenching his fists tightly, glancing to see that even Marie was doing her best at this moment, letting out a floral pink pulse of energy towards the Legendary.

"Then...I better not be outdone." he chuckled, placing his hands near his fiery belt as he charged up another Fire Blast. Then again...I think this is the first time we actually have fought like this...Allie was different, this one actually seems...like we're fighting as a team rather than letting me do it. Randy felt excited about this bout...even more than he did when it was just them fighting Blake. Fighting a Legendary...in order to get stronger...as long as they lived, then this Chaser business seemed fine to him. He rushed forth, making sure he was in a good position to launch this Fire Blast, as he skidded to a halt underneath Yveltal. "FIRE....BLAST!!!!" Randy roared loudly, firing off the Fire Blast, straight towards the Legendary.

Kazo sighed to himself as they headed off to the forest. He didn't know how to feel knowing that Edgelord had escape and could be roaming around anywhere. He really just wished that Sycther would go home and leave them all alone, but, he knew they would probably see him again. But, shockingly, it was quiet for around five days. Nothing happened as they crawled through the forest. But then they appeared in a forest of mushrooms.

The fog was to their ankles, the ground was wet... but... it was relaxing somehow. He could feel his mind clouding over, and his limbs wanting to only rest.

"Mm...this is nice," Ari muttered, blinking sleepily. "We should rest here...zzz," he stumbled and fell flat on his face, but didn't really feel like getting up right about then. Kazo sat down next to him, yawning, but moving Ari's face so it was at least on Kaz's lap instead on the wet ground.

"Do you think it's the mushrooms...?" Kazo muttered as his eyes got heavy. He did his best to keep them open... but he was losing that battle.

"Do it do it do it! I can tag her especially good if I'm flying through the air!" The girl began to wiggle in his grasp and motioning her arms as though she were swimming mid-air.

"Nah, that's probably not the best idea," Easter joked back. "She could damage something...like the ship."

"That's a fair point...," Denku muttered as he slung Dora over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes. He would let her down... but he didn't want to risk her falling over the side. Just... not today. "Guess we'll stay on stand-by, in case Easter finds a way to set something on fire,"

"...So we triumphed."

Tianzi gave Scarlet a smile as she heard the declaration of surrender from Groudon, before she fell to her knees. On the distance, she could hear Taiga waking up and rejoicing at their victory. That was nice. They had won, somehow. This felt unreal. Tianzi wanted to reach out to Groudn. She wanted to approach him, and told him that he shouldn't have doubted the current people like what he did. Without his pride and arrogance, a lot of effort wouldn't be wasted here. That was such an example of the state of the Legends that made Tianzi disgusted. Had she still possess the energy to do so, she would walk to him, and cleave his head in two. That was what she once swore to do, right? Freeing the land from the clutch of the legends.

It was still hard to believe that now she's working for one. At the same time, the Godslayers were a lot worse. Tianzi gritted her teeth. She swore to herself that she would get stronger, and once she did, she would make sure that the legends did not return to be complacent. Right, that would be what she should strive for.

"...Now...what we should do?"

Northshore Team Karaoke

As Lok got up from bed, he felt his body was still soar from the other day. He wished they could rest some more, but time was ticking. There was stuff to do, and they had to do it fast. The one problem was that Lok, and as it turned out the rest of the group, had no idea what this stuff was. Grumbling to himself, Lok followed the others out of their resting spot.

The Rotom got a bit of a chuckle as he watched people panic from the light drizzle, although it was for good reason. Lok did his best to reassure everyone that things were fine, as Kyogre herself was having a rather hard time doing so with her hand motions.

"I think the beach is a good place to check first." Lok chimed in on the conversation. "If we go there, we' might get more information to ask around with later."

Brooke dusted her pants off and readjusted her hat, pretending not to notice the way Jane was staring at at her. Still, she couldn’t help but smile. “It’s really no big deal. Come find me if you ever need some help, alright?” It was nice to meet someone so ordinary and unassuming occasionally. She loved the rest of the group to death but they could be a bit… much.

Her nose twitched suddenly when she was assaulted by a new smell. Acrid, heavy -- smoke. Shortly after, the sounds of a commotion above deck caught her ear. “... That’s probably my cue. Pleasure meeting you Jane!” Brooke rushed out of the room and above deck immediately after that.

It was absolute chaos. Smoke blanketed the entire area, but she could still make out plenty. Most notably, a violent vortex of brine was tearing across the deck and sloshing everything with water. Apparently it was a common enough occurrence that nobody was paying it much attention. “I swear I can't leave you all alone for two seconds! Care to tell me what in the hell’s going on out here?” Brooke shouted over the racket, doing her best to stay as far away from the whirlpool as pokémonly possible.

“Is that your doing?” she grilled the towering Swampert, gesturing at the attack, which seemed to be dying down finally.

Team Alola, Day 15, Mowloo

Yveltal felt Nani's arms around her neck but it didn't seem to bother her. In fact she merely stayed where she was even as the three attacks from the group converged around her. They could tell from her appearance that damage was done to the Legend but she was still standing, so to speak, unmoving. "I will not waver. Whatever you do I will always remain." She relaxed her body and let out a long breath. "Death will always be there."

Nani was then shoved off of the woman as the wings on her back spread out and was enveloped in a reddish aura. The woman gave them a single flap and she launched up farther into the air. Her wings spread out more, and more, until they enveloped the entire clearing. The area was covered in a dark red tint. "I was born into this world to snuff out all life on it. My purpose is death. Your journey ends now. With my awakening comes the beginning of the end." Without warning oval-shaped objects, resembling feathers, rained down on the group. Any that struck them wouldn't cause any physical harm but each one would damage their aura, draining their very energy, and weaken their bodies.

Team Showdown, Day 29, Groudon's Mountain

Isole looked around at the group. Who were, every single one of them, collapsed and exhausted. There was something amusing to her that she was the one still standing. "Like they said...what now?" Isole asked Groudon. "I don't want to be stuck here."

The Legend nodded and glanced at the fallen victors. "Maybe I overdid it...Well, I don't think you have to worry." He glanced up into the sky. "I'm sure my brother will take care of that."

Isole wondered what he meant by that but a rather familiar wind kicked up around the group. Spinning, spinning, they all, including Groudon, were lifted off of the ground and caught in what seemed to be a tornado.

Which continued to spin for a while until it deposited them back in the "throne room" of the Sky Palace.

Upon landing Isole was the first to get her footing, used to such things from living on a flying boat, and so she was able to catch Groudon clutching his mouth as though he were about to hurl.

He recovered soon after and spoke up. "I wish you would learn a new way to do that brother."

Rayquaza sat on his throne and waved dismissively. "Perhaps if you didn't weigh as much as a mountain it wouldn't be a problem...Good of you to join us, Groudon." His tone shifted at the end to one of more authority.

Something which Groudon seemed to notice.

The Legend gave a grunt and shook his head. "I didn't do it to help you." He said. Looking around he spoke up. "And what of our sister?"

"Kyogre...will come. Apparently you four aren't the only ones convincing Legends to fight." He said towards the group with a bit of reluctance. "It seems our numbers are growing..." He gave a look that resembled one who just drank sour milk. "Thank you for your help in this task."

Team Mac, Day 31, Weynon

"No no no." Mac said, leaning down and trying to pull Ari up to his feet. "We...we gotta keep going. We've barely went anywhere today." Though it seemed she was struggling to pull him up she didn't seem quite as drained of energy as the other two were. When she saw Kazo's eyes drooping she dropped Ari back onto his lap and pointed at him. "Not you too...c'mooon...we need to." She halted, blinking rapidly, and shook her head. "We need to keep going."

Desperate, the girl suddenly let out a light electric shock which would hit the two and jolt them away. It wouldn't cause pain but they'd find their heads clearing a bit. "We...gotta move on. I bet it'll get easier if we go deeper."

Team Neo Not Dark, Day 30, S.S. Showdown

"I wonder...do you have any recommendations?"

Clyde gave a loud guffaw and grinned down at Easter. "Well ya see our little crew here has a bit of a ranking system, though some of em refuse to believe that. Jane's not much of a fighter so she's at the bottom. Then there's Isole...she's off on an adventure though, hope she's doing okay...Solana is next, the girl you met when you first got here. After that there's Trava, she's a bit weird but strong, and Edna is after her...Then there's Apanie." He gestured over at the girl by the stairs. "She's the best we got. So I suppose it's up to you how hard you wanna fight."

"Guess we'll stay on stand-by, in case Easter finds a way to set something on fire,"

"Ooooh you think Easter is gonna make some fire? I saw her shoot some pretty pink things was that fire?"

Just then Brooke came up and asked what was going on. To which Dora shouted happily. "Easter's gonna start a fire!"

Clyde also responded to Brooke, with a thumbs up. "Aye, I had to put out some flames one of the crew started. Seems their fight got a bit over the top." he then started laughing once more and then clapped Easter on the shoulder. "I'm sure this one knows enough to keep that from happening again."

Team Karaoke, Day 28, Northshore

The people didn't seem to calm down much from Lok's assurances but it did seem many of the more hot-blooded ones didn't want to seem like they were afraid when the young man clearly wasn't so they backed off from the Legend. The Legend whom seemed to be quite bothered and embarrassed by what was going on.

Gwen tilted her head at Lok and Nine. "I suppose we could check it out, if it's....not flooded anymore. Though with so many options I'm not sure we should all go down there for long."

As it turned out the beach was still quite soaked from last night's battle and bits of driftwood and trash covered it. A Poliwrath was nearby cursing the gods for this travesty and some others were attempting to clear it out. It at least seemed much calmer than it had previously and they could tell that, before the battle, it was likely quite the beautiful place.

Ari barely felt his face being moved to a softer surface. Smells like...sand.

"Do you think it's the mushrooms...?"

"Mugroo?" What...mushrooms? Why...? No...tired...sleep...

"No no no."

Shaking. Head...hurts...sleep...tired...why...bothering...annoying...Mac. Stop...lifting...

"We...we gotta keep going. We've barely went anywhere today."

And then the person lifting him seemed to give up, and he plopped back down on what he now realized was Kazo's lap.

"Not you too...c'mooon...we need to--We need to keep going."

A jolt. A tingle. Jerking upright, Ari looked around. "Wha-wha?" He rubbed his head. "Ugh...what just...?"

"We...gotta move on. I bet it'll get easier if we go deeper."

"Sure...fine," Ari grumbled, picking himself up off the floor and dusting off his pants. "Let's go Kazo!" he said, a bit more energized now. He glanced at the mushrooms surrounding him, and Kazo's words drifted back to the forefront of his mind. "What...did they do that?"

Easter hummed in thought. "Well, Apanie caught my eye, but she already fought, so that might not be fair to her." He sighed. "This would be a lot easier if there weren't a kid around." His warm tone, however, belied the sour words.

Right on cue, Brooke appeared above deck. “I swear I can't leave you all alone for two seconds! Care to tell me what in the hell’s going on out here?”

"Easter's gonna start a fire!"

The Sylveon face palmed, and then started to stomp toward the stairs. "Sure, that's what I'm going to do," he waved. If I'm going to be starting fires, might as well fight the one who can put them out, he thought. Catching up to Apanie, he stopped. "Hey," his voice, while quiet, was brimming with tension. "That was a good match." He could feel her Aura from here. "I do hope you're not tired from that." His voice lightened as he smiled beatifically. "I want to fight you at full strength, after all."

Keanu stood back and watched in grim satisfaction as his attack coincided with Marie's. Randy fired off a Fire Blast soon afterward, but Yveltal still stood strong. "I will not waver. Whatever you do I will always remain." She relaxed her body and let out a long breath. "Death will always be there."

The legendary shoved the other Pikachu off and launched herself into the air, her wings spreading out until they engulfed the whole clearing, covering it in a dark red tint. "I was born into this world to snuff out all life on it. My purpose is death. Your journey ends now. With my awakening comes the beginning of the end." Without warning oval-shaped objects, resembling feathers, rained down on the group.

"For death personified ya sure do talk a lot," Keanu complained, dodging the feathers as best he could. Once he found the opportunity he would take the chance to launch another Electro Ball the flying type's way, the power boosted slightly from the glowing yellow ground.

Team Showdown - Groudon's Mountain/Sky Palace

With the day won, a strange wind began to gather around them.  The next thing Taiga knew, they were back in Rayquaza's throne room.  She was still laid out flat on her stomach, but she could hear the two legends talking to each other.

"I wish you would learn a new way to do that brother."

"Perhaps if you didn't weigh as much as a mountain it wouldn't be a problem...Good of you to join us, Groudon."

Taiga picked up her head and looked at Isole with a worn out grin.

"Glad we got our asses handed to us for a family reunion...fuhfuh..."

"I didn't do it to help you.  And what of our sister?"

The talk of a sister...could it have been?  She almost jumped to her feet, if her body wasn't in such a weird and agonizing pain.

"Kyogre...will come. Apparently you four aren't the only ones convincing Legends to fight." He said towards the group with a bit of reluctance. "It seems our numbers are growing..." And then Rayquaza gave them a strange look, one that made Taiga tilt her head. "Thank you for your help in this task."

"Guess you're not too used to thankin' thugs like me, huh Quazzie?  Fufufufufu."  She then managed to roll onto her backside, and sit up on her butt.  "All this talk about Kyogre...hey when you scoop her up, make sure to get some of that treasure I hear so much about!  It's the least I should get for almost dyin' back there!"  Taiga finished, as she rattled her fist around in the air between them.

Location: Mowloo (Team Alola, Day 15)

Poké: 500

Inventory: Good Rod, Potion, Antidote x2, Kasib Berry

"Charged...Currentcruiser!"

"FIRE....BLAST!!!!"

Yes! Teamwork! Everyone was hitting Yveltal in tandem, and clearly she was taking damage. However, she was still standing, and...

"I will not waver. Whatever you do I will always remain. Death will always be there."

She's got kinda a one-trick mind, doesn't she? Oh well. Unfortunately, Nani was then shoved off the Yveltal, and after the death queen delivered yet another sphiel on how death was this and end that and death death death, she rained down a volley of feather-like ovals. As Nani weaved and bobbed through them as best she could, Keanu butted into the not-really-a-conversation.

"For death personified ya sure do talk a lot."

"You really do," Nani added, firing another ball similar to Keanu's when she found the time needed. The last one didn't seem all that effective, but it sure beat trying to get close to Yveltal right now, and maybe the yellowy terrain would help a bit. "But if you kill us how are you supposed to find that super-big conflict I was telling you about? It would be a way bigger payoff than just us and whoever happens to be in this general area."

Kazo felt his eyes close and his body relax as he began to doze off. He could barely hear Mac talking...

"No no no. We...we gotta keep going. We've barely went anywhere today." There was some slight movement in his lap... maybe Ari was getting up? Kids had so much energy... he just wanted to sleep. "Not you too...c'mooon...we need to. We need to keep going." Something apparently happened, as Kazo felt Ari leave his lap, but he just didn't have the energy right now to check. "We...gotta move on. I bet it'll get easier if we go deeper."

"Deeper sleep? I'm... down for... that," Kazo muttered as he began to snore some, his dragon and ground typing keeping him from feeling Mac's desperate's attempts to awake him up. He plopped to the ground, curling up into a ball, falling asleep faster and faster.

Denku sat down in the corner, placing Dora into his lap and patting her head. "So, we're heading to your home, huh? What's it like?" He then paused, thinking to himself. "Wait, why did you even leave home in the first place?"

Randy dodged out of the way of the feathers that rained down from Yveltal, as he huffed slightly. This was doing quite a number on him, but it wasn't anything he couldn't handle.

"For death personified ya sure do talk a lot."

"You really do. But if you kill us how are you supposed to find that super-big conflict I was telling you about? It would be a way bigger payoff than just us and whoever happens to be in this general area."

sheet...that's right. The natives and the militia are all still probably fighting...meaning we definitely gotta hurry this up. the Incineroar thought, as he stood upright and rolled his shoulders some. With a quick growl, he rushed forward, using Acrobatics to make himself get into the air.

"Personification of death, eh? ...beginning of the end kuʻu hoki!!" Randy said, making his way towards Yveltal's back, as well as conjuring the fiery jaw before him. "We'll kick your ass and make sure that fight out there is done! FIRE FANG!!"

While Marie continued to feel her blood boil in this situation, the attacks seemed to hit their mark and deal some damage to the legend before them. However, the legend still didn't seem to be backing down in its fight, and still seemed as ready as ever to kill all of them. As it made this claim, black feathers began to rain from the sky, causing the girl to pause and marvel at them for a brief moment. Though it was a strangely beautiful sight, the girl felt an incredibly eerie feeling from them, and every part of her body screamed that they were dangerous. Of course, she wasn't the fastest and was already delayed in her movement, and  thus had a much more difficult time avoiding the feathers then her other companions may have. Moving backwards away from one merely caused her to backpedal into another.

As the feather struck the girl in the back, it seemed to disappear into her. While the feather didn't seem to do any actual damage to her, the appearance was far more deceiving then it let on. Feeling a sudden explosion of pain in her back, similar to what she felt from the streams of energy that the legend had poured out earlier, only this time her muscles began to feel heavier and her body numb. It didn't take long for the girl's legs to give out from under her as she fell to the ground. Face first against the floor, the girl wasn't exactly finding it able to drift off into a slumber, as the electricity around her continued to jolt her and keep her barely conscious. Yet all the same, this only caused the girl to be lost in her own thoughts.

She didn't want to have to keep fighting, but she knew the legend probably didn't care. She knew that if she stopped or tried to run then she would die. And she didn't want to die. But if she did nothing then the others might die too. And she wanted that even less. Tears started to form in the girl's eyes as she was paralyzed in fear on the ground, merely trying to muster and work up the courage and strength to stand up and keep everyone from dying.

As the group made their way down to the beach, Nine couldn't help but wince a bit at the sight. He had seen Northshore at its height, even if only as a passing visitor, and this was most certainly not it. The torn and ravaged beach was certainly a far cry of its former self. Yet, Nine still felt a sense of relief to know that this was where the destruction ended, or at least hopefully it was. Moving forward to see the townsfolk move about and try to clean the place up, he turned to face the rest of his group saying, "well, I agree with Gwen at least. We shouldn't dally in one place for too long, so, I'll just see about talking to someone and see where to go from there."

With, Nine went to pick up a piece of trash on the ground, and move to the man who seemed to be in charge of the recovery efforts. "Mind if I help clean up a bit?"

The man, a Poliwrath, looked Nine up and down. "A scrawny thing like you? Think you can keep up? Well stop pussyfooting around and get to it!"

With a small smirk on his face, Nine merely agreed, "right, well, I'll go for as long my scrawny self can." Beginning to move around, he went to pick up some of the trash off the ground and place it in the trash. "So, bad storm hit the city?"

"You couldn't have come here without knowing what happened don't try and distract me from that piss poor job you're doing, come on, come on, put some muscle into it."

"Yeesh. Got it." The Houndoom started to move at a faster pace. picking up larger pieces of driftwood in the process. After a bit he says, "just trying to see how bad the damage goes through the city."

"It's all over the place. These Legends cause a mess whenever they come by here."

Nine perked up a bit at the mention of multiple legends. "Do they come by often?"

"No, but often enough. Not long ago when that Moltres came around and got into a fight with a Godslayer, over by the mansion on the hill, could've gone south fast....Hey, what're you doing? Stop staring at me and get back to it."

A bit startled, both by the sharpness of the man's tone and the sudden information, the Houndoom quickly went back to work, all the while trying to process what he now knew. Apparently, he had come far too late to meet as many legends as he possibly could've. In addition, if he had come earlier, there was a chance he could've also stopped Nikora far earlier and prevented this whole flood from happening in the first place. Curious, he merely spoke to himself, though loud enough that the Poliwrath would have no trouble hearing him. "Man a godslayer. That sure does sound like bad news. Though I wish I could've seen them."

"They were a rather pretty lass, but bad news....and a lot stronger than you, can't you even lift that little piece of wood?"

Moving to the rather large piece of wood, Nine went to go pick at up. At first, he kept playing up that he was indeed weak, though as he tried to lift the piece of wood up even more he found it far heavier then he expected. With some effort, he eventually managed to hoist it up off the ground, saying with a strained voice, "yeah, she- she probably was." Given that Nikora was most certainly not female, he felt a little more relieved that they hadn't been the one to fight Moltres earlier. This, of course, was only subverted by him now realizing that there was yet another godslayer for him to worry about. And a pretty one at that.

Starting to move the large piece of wood in hand, Nine jested, "she could probably lift this no problem, but me. Man I wish there was some convenient way to wish this all away."

"I know one way...." The Poliwrath responded.

"Oh?"

"EXCERCISE!" The man shouts proudly and aggressively.

"Right you are sir." With a defeated sigh, Nine got to his work, and looked to the others trying to convey that he was probably going to be here far longer then he anticipated.

Sky Palace Team Showdown

When Scarlet woke up, she found herself in a familiar throne room. She felt dizzy, still on the ground. She overheard the legends talk about something... something about Kyogre. As Scarlet started picking herself up, she heard Taiga's voice. Scarlet stood up, legs still a bit weak and shaky, turning to the two legends. "So... who's next?" She said, shakily making her way towards them. She stopped, her head pounding. "Ugh... hopefully we don't have to go find them right now..."

When they got to the beach, Lok saw the wreckage laid about from the chaos. Lok shook his head, distraught by the damage done to this one seemingly beautiful beach. At the very least, however, there was peace even if was just temporary. Lok nodded his head as Nine came to the conclusion that they shouldn't stick around in one place that long. As Lok watched Nine go out to help the Poliwrath, he turned to his companions. "So..." He said, a bit awkwardly. "I guess we're just gonna... wait for him?" He said, not sure what to say.

Team Mac, Day 31, Mushroom Forest

Mac groaned in frustration as Kazo fell asleep. "C'mon Ari...grab one side I'll get the other." She told the young boy as she moved over to try and lift Kazo. Though she couldn't get him high off the ground and thus had to practically drag him through the strange forest.

As they continued on their way they'd see colorful balls of lights off in the distance. Moving around at a lazy, dreamy, speed which fit with how they all were feeling perfectly.

As they got deeper into the forest the mushrooms only grew larger and the effects of the lethargy only grew stronger. Soon neither Ari nor Mac would be able to keep it up and they would collapse alongside of Kazo in the soft, foggy, ground.

Mac found herself standing on a pedestal. People were around her cheering. There was a trophy in her hands and several other Gijinka, all burly and powerful looking, on one knee in front of her and giving her a look of admiration. Somewhere she heard somebody shout. "Everyone give a round of applause for our champion, Mac!"

Similarly the other two would find themselves in a, frankly, incredibly ideal situation. A feeling of accomplishment and positivity washing through them.

Team Alola, Day 15, Mowloo

Yveltal gave a shake of her head. They thought they were safe. They thought they could stop this. They were wrong.

Though they did manage to dodge some of the feathers they couldn't keep up with them all. Each of them would still be peppered by several of the dark energy bolts. Yveltal stayed still as she took the hits from the Electric attack and, while it was clearly doing damage, the woman seemed not ready to let up. When Randy leapt up towards her she was ready. Before the fang landed on her she cloaked herself in a harsh light. And, as the fang crunched on her body, she charged forward and slammed into Randy, sending him into the ground with a mighty crash.

Moving off the man, Yveltal turned her gaze towards Nani and launched a feathery Oblivion Wing attack.

Team Neo Not Dark, Day 30, S.S. Showdown

"I want to fight you at full strength, after all."

Apanie tilted her head back and looked at Easter without much emotion in her expression. She slowly turned around to face him full on and stood there looking at him for several long moments. "Why would that tire me out?" She said in a monotone. "If you want to fight then fine by me. I'm not supposed to refuse guests. It's not my problem you want to be beaten so badly." She then strolled past Easter towards the stage that was still set up from the previous fight. If Easter said anything she may respond otherwise she'd just get into position.

Trava and Solana both moved towards the stage to watch the fight while Edna stormed off downstairs, looking positively livid, and Clyde went to go let Captain know what was going on.

Meanwhile Dora was giving Denku a sad look in response to what he said. Though the unusual expression vanished from her face quickly as she smiled. "It's a super duper pretty place!" Dora began. "It's inside a huuuuge bubble so it's easy to keep clean and everything's made of coral and pearl and it's all clean and sparkly and colorful! But there's...there's not a whole lot there and it kinda gets a little boring when you know there's so many things and people up above and well...papa doesn't like the outside world much so I wouldn't really get to come up here but I really wanted to so mama sent me and....well I was able to come up to the surface and see so many things and people and eat so much food." She then started to get a bit off track as she began listing every little different thing that she experienced after coming up to the surface.

Team Showdown, Day 29, Sky Palace

"All this talk about Kyogre...hey when you scoop her up, make sure to get some of that treasure I hear so much about!  It's the least I should get for almost dyin' back there!"

"Sister does like her trinkets..." Groudon muttered.

"I'm sure you can figure something out with her once this is all over." Rayquaza said dismissively, giving Taiga a rather condescending look in the process.

"So... who's next? Ugh... hopefully we don't have to go find them right now..."

"No need to worry about that. Right now we're still...searching. There's many of us who are being stirred to act already and we need to find those who refuse. And most of them are better at hiding than Groudon." Rayquaza said with a hint of teasing.

"I wasn't hiding." Groudon responded indignantly. "I was open about my whereabouts. I had no need to hide..."

"Because you didn't think anyone could drag you out." Rayquaza finished. "Either way you are here. And as for the rest of you...feel free to rest. I will summon you here when there is need of you."

That was when Magearna stepped in and smiled to the group, raising her arms and asking them to grab onto her. If they did so they'd soon find their wounds starting to heal up, though if they looked closely they would also see some pain on Magearna's face.

After that they were free to move around. Groudon himself left the room soon after and as the group went around they'd find that they were able to find places more easily than before, though with a few twists and turns still, and they'd be able to move around as they'd like.

Team Karaoke, Day 28, Northshore

"I guess we're just gonna... wait for him?"

"Hm...No, I don't think that's necessary." Gwen said. She couldn't help but smile as she called out to Nine, teasingly. "I am sure the big strong man can handle this on his own." Then she looked back at Lok. "I think I'll go find that Braviary from the other day. Perhaps he has some idea. You can do what you want. This place seems...relatively safe now after all."

With that she headed back to the campground and looked around for the mercenary captain.

When she found him he was speaking with one of his men. "I suppose we can take them from the mansion guard. We'll need all hands clearing this up if we want this place back up and running. No one's gonna bother doing anything there I don't think."

He turned when he heard Gwen approaching. "Ah, yes, one of the people from the other day. Did you need something?"

"Well..." Gwen looked glanced around to make sure there weren't anywhere nearby. "Actually there was something that we wanted to find here."

While her face was planted in the ground, Marie still was trying to muster the strength to stand back up. The enemy before her meant to kill her. But it wasn't as if they were like Blake and just enjoyed doing it. The legend kept talking and looking as if this was just a fact of life, and that it was fact that they were going to kill Marie and her friends. It was something beyond just bravado or confidence. It was something beyond just duty and work. It merely was. Shaken to the core, Marie was having trouble finding the strength in her already weakened body, and could barely lift her head up to see the feathers falling on everyone, causing them a great deal of pain as well. Her eyes went wide with panic once more as Randy went for an attack, only to be slammed back down to the ground and the legend to stay in its spot.

Seeing his still body against the ground, more tears began to form in her eyes as she started to claw her hands against the ground. The Queen of Death then went to strike the other pikachu. Marie didn't know if they would be able to survive the attack either. She didn't know if any of them would be able to survive any of this. Her strained breathing started to pick up the pace again, as the girl was starting to feel just how powerless she was. This was, as she knew it to be, the end.

Yet in her despair an image flashed before her. In spite of her broken and bleeding form, she had never backed down. Instead, she merely stood her ground and continued to fight. Even though her life was on the line and it was very clear she could die, the woman had kept on fighting. When she was shoved back, the woman merely pushed back even harder. She never stopped. Again and again and again. Pushing back with far more might then anyone could expect from any normal person.

Marie was no legend. She was no fighter and she certainly wasn't the strongest person in Alola. Yet, if there was one thing Marie couldn't stand, it was bullies. And if there was one thing she could never lose to, it would be them. No matter how young or old. No matter how weak or strong. A bully was just a bully, and Marie would do everything she could to stop one. Pushing up against the ground, the girl barely got back up to her feet, but still she stood. With eyes barely opened she looked towards Yveltal, and began to take one deep breath. As she did, an aura of blue flared around her body and as it did, the two gems in her pocket responded. Her necklace too began to glow as she did, with one of them gems snapping and flowing into her. With her aura flaring beyond anything it had ever been before, the girl let out one loud yet strangely melodic scream at the legend.

With four small orbs of compact water forming, the girl fired all of them towards the legend.

Meanwhile on the sandy beaches of Northshore, Nine was busy moving pieces of drift wood. As Gwen called out to him, with strained laughter the Houndoom responded, "right, right. Don't worry about me and go do whatever you guys want." With a wave goodbye, Nine continued to work on the beach, moving what he could before he felt he was pouring too much time into this. With that out of the way, Nine let out a sigh of relief and looked to the Poliwrath. "Well, I think I've done my share here. Still got plenty of city to see after all, so I'll be off."

"Done your share, hmph, kids these days don't know what hard work means." He shook his head and went back to work himself.

Scratching the back of his head a bit amused by the claim, with a smile on his face he asked, "well, do you know anywhere else in the city that needs some assistance in its storm recovery?"

"Where doesn't?" He grunted.

"Got me there." With that, Nine began to move into the city proper to start searching for more clues there. He himself wasn't quite sure where to begin his search for the legend, and it wasn't as though he could just ask any old person about it. Something told him that randomly asking "excuse me sir, do you know where to find a wish granter," wouldn't go over so well with the common townsfolk. There was the Braviary who was quite helpful, but given that he was the most helpful to them so far he figured one of the other three probably would've already gravitated there. Scratching his head, the Houndoom then remembered someone else from yesterday.

A young Blitzle who had been on the shore with them after his fight with Nikora. He didn't know much about the girl, but given how she talked and acted she seemed to be at least some kind of chaser, or at least had the very intrusive into all problems attitude that most chasers seemed to carry. He figured if there was any one he was going to ask outside of a godslayer themselves, another chaser would probably be the best bet. And even if she didn't know anything well, company was always appreciated. With that in mind, Nine began to walk through Northshore attempting to locate the girl, and lend a small helping hand to anyone who seemed to be struggling in their recovery efforts along the way.

Team Showdown - Sky Palace

"I'm sure you can figure something out with her once this is all over."

It was the second face he gave her that made her somewhat unnerved.  Or pissed off.  Or a little of both really.  Was it a good idea to be pissed at one of the gods.  Taiga shot Rayquaza a smug grin, raising her eyebrows.

"She better.  Or we'll have quite the conversation."   After a little babbling between the aforementioned legend and his brother, Rayquaza brought his attention towards the group once more.

"And as for the rest of you...feel free to rest. I will summon you here when there is need of you."

Taiga took hold of Magearna, who had approached them and offered an arm.  As soon as she did, she could feel the energy return to her body, but just enough to not feel like dying.  This too made Magearna wince a bit.  Taiga let go as soon as she noticed, and rubbed the back of her head.

"Thanks."  She muttered.  She then looked towards the rest of the group and smiled.  "Y'all head out.  I follow up shortly, 'kay!"  Once her team had left the room, Taiga would shoot Rayquaza a sharp look.  "Alright, your highness.  I gotta bone to pick with you."  She placed her hands on her hips, and grit her teeth in annoyance.  "See, a girl like me gets a lot of nasty looks when they walk in the door, and I've definitely gotten that look before.  I can tell by the looks of it you got some problem with Gijinka like us taking care of your dirty laundry."  She could feel frost dripping off her fangs, as her breath was now visible.  It was merely on instinct.  Her face became stoic, as she continued to glare at him.  "Don't look down on us.  Got it?  You should be kissin' our keesters for this.  Puttin' our lives on the line for the greater good, while you sit your ass in that throne without a scratch."  She turned her back on him as she started to march towards the door, before turning her head back towards him.  "Actually...scratch that...you can look down on me all you want.  But not them."  After turning back around, she wondered if she should have corrected herself and took Tianzi out of that equation.  She shrugged and started to make her way out.

S-sheet! That was the only thought Randy had when he saw Yveltal turned slightly and cloaked herself in a harsh light. Between this little development and the fact that he was being peppered by several dark bolts along with everyone else, the Incineroar wasn't expecting that Yveltal would now charge forward out from the Fire Fang connecting. She slammed right into him, forcing him to get the wind knocked out of him for a moment...

If only that was the only thing that happened.

Randy then felt himself being forced to the ground by Yveltal's push. And in an instant, he felt himself making contact with the ground. He felt the wind getting knocked out of him again, with a small, pitiful yell of pain escaped his mouth. He wanted to yell out, but he couldn't.

-BGM-

D-D...Damnit! Randy cursed, trying to get up...doing what he could to muster up some sort of strength. Try as he might, he couldn't do it. He could feel his hands and nails dragging against the ground as he forced them into fists. D-Damnit...K-Keanu...M-Marie... he thought, his vision getting somewhat blurry as he watched Marie really fighting her hardest against the Legend. It was...really amazing.

Nevertheless, he could feel a few tears falling down his face, as his eyes finally closed. I'm sorry...I-I...I couldn't...just, wait for me...it's funny...I-I...I feel like I'm back...in that Mowloo...prison again... he thought, before he blacked out.

Sky Palace Team Showdown

Scarlet let out a sigh of relief when she heard that they'd have time to rest. Magearna came up to her, lifting her arm up and asking her to grab on. Seeing Taiga get healed by her, Scarlet started reaching over. However, she then saw Magearna's pained expression. "It's... fine." Scarlet said, a bit weakly. "I can heal myself..." She gave the other gijinka a warm smile, although she winced as she did.

"Y'all head out.  I follow up shortly, 'kay!"

Scarlet was tempted to argue with her and stick with the girl, but her body was aching too much for her to do so. Instead, she simply nodded, before heading out to find a place where she could Roost.

It took her a bit to find the room, but eventually she did. Or at least she thought she did; she knew for sure that it was a room, but didn't know if it was their room. Either way, her exhaustion made her crash onto the bed immediately without question, her wings laying down a bit on the bed as she Roosted and rested. When she felt a bit better she'd make sure she was in the right place, but for now...

Lok wasn't sure what to do with the freedom he was given. He figured it would be good to gather information, although he didn't know what to ask for. He decided that he'd probably just walk around the city a bit, maybe that would give him information. He thought about asking Fiona to go walking with him, before realizing that she wasn't around. "Where did..." Lok said out loud. "She's probably back at camp..." He shrugged. "Alright, let's go see if Fiona wants to go walk around!" Turning around, Lok started heading back to the camp. Maybe he'd cross paths with Morgan again. As he walked a sudden thought came to his mind. "Maybe I should invite Kyogre to walk around too?" He thought, before shaking his head. He remembered the reaction that the people had when they saw her. "Maybe not..."

Location: Mowloo (Team Alola, Day 15)

Poké: 500

Inventory: Good Rod, Potion, Antidote x2, Kasib Berry

Although she'd done her best, Nani couldn't dodge all the feathers. Her body felt sluggish as they hit her. Slow. Weak. Nani's legs gave in under the sudden loss of strength, while Randy was knocked to the floor - he was probably down for the count this time - followed by Yveltal firing another one of those dangerous-looking beam attacks, aimed at... Nani!?

Nope, can't let that hit me now. With what speed she could still manage, Nani crawled toward and slinked into the nearest shadow. A short moment after, she re-emerged from her shadowy hiding places, flopping out of the wall and toward Yveltal. This probably wasn't going to hurt the bird much - especially not in Nani's weakened state - but right now she was more concerned with not getting hurt herself. This would have to do.

Kazo didn't seem to wake up as much from the shock as Ari did. So Mac had to drag the much bigger gijinka through the forest, but even she gave up as the mushrooms got bigger, colorful lights moving around at a dreamy speed. Ari gave up soon after, collapsing to the ground beside the other two.

The next thing the lion knew, he was back at Pride Rock. He had just defeated Entei, and come home a hero. Even his uncle James, who didn't really like him that well, was smiling proudly. And, best of all, his dad was there, alive and well, giving him the biggest smile he had ever seen, eyes alight with warmth. "You did well," he said, and the words caused Ari's eyes to well up with tears. "You are a true king, but best of all, you are my son, and I'm proud of you." And his mother was there, hugging him in front of everybody, but he didn't really mind that so much right now, and his friend Tiana was there too, grinning broadly.

"You are a true Chaser now," Regirock, who had decided to visit, agreed.

And others had come to see his grand homecoming, like Mac, Kazo, Kah, and even Suiten. The Helioptile snorted. "I could have done better, but you didn't do half bad." And the Gabite looked down at him, a tender smile eclipsing his usual fierce looks. "As expected from my little bro." And then he hugged him.

"You mean it?" Ari asked.

"Yeah, I do," he replied. "You're the little brother I never had."

The Litleo burst into full-out tears at this point. "I-I thick de sabe thig doo," he replied through his sniffles. "I aways wabbed a brodder."

"Hey, don't cry, squirt," Kah jostled his shoulder. "You're big and tough now, like me. You can't cry. No, n-no way," she grabbed a handkerchief and blew into it noisily, causing Suiten, who was standing beside her, to stare at the Hydreigon in disgust.

"Hehe...heh," Ari smiled brightly. "I wub you guys." This was the best day ever.

"Why would that tire me out?" She said in a monotone. "If you want to fight then fine by me. I'm not supposed to refuse guests. It's not my problem you want to be beaten so badly." She then strolled past Easter towards the stage that was still set up from the previous fight.

"Whew," Easter whistled. "You're just like Fi. I'm not sure if that's good or bad." He let her remarks wash off of him like water off a Psyduck's back. After all, he was no stranger to trash talk or overconfidence...on both ends. He stood opposite her on the stage, his pose relaxed. "Ladies first?" he asked, though he didn't really care whether she attacked first or not. He knew better than to underestimate females, after all...he shuddered. No, best not to think too much about her right now.

Still, how she reacted, or didn't react to that would tell him quite a bit.

Keanu winced as the feathery darts slid into his body, draining his energy. Marie, however, seemed to be taking it much worse than him. He was about to move toward her when he saw Randy go down and his face paled. "What...no no no!" he yelled. Randy was the strongest of them all, and if he went down...then they were screwed. Royally so. He grabbed a random berry from his pouch, grimacing at seeing it was a Kelpsy Berry, and nothing useful for the Incineroar.

Gritting his teeth, the Pikachu fired off another Electro Ball, hoping that they would be able to wear Yveltal down soon...and that Randy would get up soon. At least Marie had gotten up, and that other Pikachu was still with them. Otherwise they really were dead. "Eat lightning, you lolo buggah!"

Kazo woke up, rubbing his eyes. When his eyes focused, he realized he was in a giant grassy field, the field stretching as far as it could. Where was he...? What was he doing here? He walked over, before realizing there was a path. Where the heck did this lead to? He ran off at top speed, the world rushing past him. He had no idea where he was going... all he knew was that he had a feeling of... freedom.

He more he ran on the path, the more he realized that it was most definitely leading somewhere... in fact, it seemed to be leading to to what looked like a finish line. Why would there be one all the way out here...? He kept running until he rushed past it, confetti suddenly exploding around him. What the...? He skid to a stop, rubbing his head. What was...

"Yo bro, you did it!" Kazo felt an arm wrap around his neck and pull him down, the other beginning to give him a noogie. Looking up, he say it was the Excadrill he considered a brother, Sai. "Ya beat Latios in a race. Knew you could do it, bro,"

"I did?" Kazo asked, in disbelief. That was really happening?

"Yeah, you did," a voice he hadn't heard in years called out. Turning around, he saw the brother he had missed so much, Denku, holding Ari on his shoulders. The Pupitar walked over and placed the young Litleo on the Gabite's shoulder. "With that, you've done it. You've proved that you're faster than legends,"

"Really?" Kazo asked, eyes filled with tears.

"Of course! I always knew you could do it!" Ari called out, hugging Kazo's neck. This was the best day ever.

Denku had noticed the sad expression she had, but listen to her pour out her heart. When she finished, he nodded and patted her head. "Sounds like you've been having an adventure then. You going to tell your parents about it?"
