Pokemon Gijinka: The Fallen God [IC/PG-16/Not Accepting]

Recommended Posts

Easter was going to fight one of the crewmembers. For fun. Brooke crossed her arms and moved closer to the railing, to watch the battle from a safe distance. This had the side effect of placing her closer to Denku and Dora, so she could hear every word of their conversation. That… wasn’t pleasant.

Dora couldn’t have been more excited to go home. She knew that it was terrible but part of her had hoped the little girl would stay, that she wouldn’t leave her behind. She was kidding herself though. Dora’s family was waiting for, unlike Brooke’s own, and she was just going to have to accept that.

"Sounds like you've been having an adventure then. You going to tell your parents about it?"

The Emboar Gijinka was watching Denku and Dora out of the corner of her, pretending to be focusing on Easter and his opponent getting ready to battle. What was she going to tell her parents about her time in the real world? She probably didn’t have much good to tell them, after what had happened in the last two weeks, but before that it had been a relatively peaceful experience.

Team Alola, Day 15, Mowloo

Yveltal realized something just then.

She still did not understand the limits of mortals' strength.

Nani's Shadow Sneak didn't do much to her and she turned around and backhanded the Mimikyu with a Dark aura wrapped around her fist. But, as she began to close in on the Gijinka to finish her off she heard a musical sound from behind her. Moments later she felt a barrage of watery orbs crash into her back.

The legend grunted and lurched forward as the attack landed. The death bird was shocked to realize that her body was feeling pain. Was she truly...injured?

She spread her wings and began to launch upwards, in order to get the high ground, and attack with Oblivion Wing to regain her lost health. But then another orb, electrical this time, crashed into her wings.

The feathery black aura flickered and died and Yveltal dropped back down to the ground. She turned her head towards the other two and grinned. "I see. So be it."

With a swift motion Yveltal tore a rift into the air and stepped through it. Moments later appearing in front of Keanu. From close range she fired off a Focus Blast attack directly at the Pikachu.

Team Karaoke, Day 28, Northshore

As Nine continued through the city it seemed that most everywhere needed some form of help. The lower level of a hotel was flooded and all the furniture in the waiting room had to be removed due to damage. A stand that formerly sold hot dogs somehow ended up on top of some playground equipment. A young girl was searching for a lost cat which Nine found in a bush (and received several cuts across the arms for his trouble). Everyone he helped told him the same thing about the girl. No one knew where she was. She had supposedly arrived late in the night in the company of a large, cloaked, man who had vanished the next day and left her behind.

It seemed to be a fruitless endeavor until Nine got a tap on the shoulder while he was knee deep in formerly sandy, now muddy, water. The Blitzle girl was standing there, not looking at him directly, nervously clutching one arm. "....You've been looking for me?" She asked after a hesitation.

---

Lok's search seemed to be also fairly difficult. Though for entirely different reasons. Were he to ask anyone about Fiona they'd respond with annoyance, complaining about the girl refusing to help, or in some cases shouting at them when "all they did was ask if I could lift her up to grab some things from the trees." Though the last came from a rather jockish looking young man.

Finally he was given a solid answer as to where Fiona had gone. "Last I saw she was entering the makeshift prison tent. Guess after fighting him last night she wanted to interrogate that crazy sonofajabroni that attacked Kyogre."

Team Showdown, Day 29, Sky Palace

"Actually...scratch that...you can look down on me all you want.  But not them."

"You don't command me." Rayquaza replied curtly.

Magearna, near him, started to go after Taiga but Rayquaza held up his hand. "Don't. There's no need to make her think differently. She just needs to fight. It doesn't matter what she thinks of me."

Isole wandered around aimlessly for a while, in thought. Scarlet and Tianzi had both went straight to their beds and passed out. Taiga was still out and about. And Isole...well, she never was much of a sleeper.

She ended up finding herself on the roof of the palace somehow, without really knowing how she got there.

The air was cool up here. Refreshingly so. Good for thinking. So she sat on the edge, staring down at the clouds, and thinking how unusual it was to be looking down at clouds. After a while she pulled out an old notebook and began writing. If someone came up there she wouldn't notice unless they spoke. In fact Lunala at one point did make her way up to the top of the tower but she didn't immediately go to her, if she did at all.

---

The next day seemed much the same as the night previous. With one rather important exception.

Scarlet would be awoken to a loud. "Weeeellll what've we got here?"

The voice came from a tiny girl who was leaning down over Scarlet with a curious expression. "I finally decided to come here and what do I find? Regular Gijinka sleeping. That's very interesting. I didn't think Rayquaza would let anyone who wasn't a Legend step foot here after his failed Disciple...whoops that was a secret wasn't it..."

Team Mac, Day 31, Mushroom Forest

Each of the group would find the scenes they were in shift. It wasn't anything dramatic but a more subtle and flow-y change in scenery. Instead of an exciting, happy, time, it was a more peaceful time with those that they loved most. A scene filled with love and relaxation. They would each interpret it in their own way but it would give them a moment of confusion. The shift would seem natural in the moment but as it was happening and as it continued they may pick up some...oddities in the scenes.

For Mac she was crammed into her small house. With her parents, Ari, Kazo, Keldeo, Raikou, and the camel that was in their family for years. They were talking and sharing stories like old friends did.

Mac was taller, more developed, and felt even more confident than ever before.

But still, there was something off....that Mr. Mime that she failed to save was there. He had knocked on the door and had come in wanting to give a gift to "his hero, Mac".

"....You're...why are you here?" Mac asked, suddenly suspicious.

"I just said didn't I? I really turned my life around after you stopped that man from hurting me you know."

"Right....right. Thanks..." Mac said, relaxing a bit.

"I should be thanking you, hero."

Team Neo Not Dark, Day 30, S.S Showdown

"Sounds like you've been having an adventure then. You going to tell your parents about it?"

Dora's sentence stopped right in the middle. Her mouth open comically wide as she took in what Denku had asked. She turned her head to him, mouth still open, and looked downward. "Um." She began. "I don't think my papa would like it much. And mama....she might ask...something that I dunno if I wanna answer right now." She fidgetted uncomfortably for a while. Seemingly on the border between keeping silent and continuing to speak. But then her head snapped up and she pointed at the stage. "Look, the blue lady is doing a thing!" She sounded honestly excited. Though it did also seem an obvious attempt to ignore what she had just been saying.

---

"Ladies first?"

Apanie shrugged. "Doesn't matter to me." She said. She had been standing in the same pose that she was when fighting Edna. Sideways, upper body turned slightly towards Easter, and looking at him with a rather languid expression. She raised a hand as if to fire off an attack but no attack came.

Instead she snapped her fingers and her body became covered in electricity. It shone bright and crackled fiercely. To the point that it was hard to distinguish the girl's form from underneath it.

Then she raced towards Easter at high speeds. Crashing into him, but not affecting him much physically. Instead he would feel a jolt of pain as the attack struck him in a less tangible way than a regular tackle.

Apanie, or rather the electric form, would, just as suddenly as it hit Easter, bounce up several feet into the air and halfway back from the way it came from. Then the electricity faded away and Apanie floated in mid-air, looking just as calm as before, as she fired of a huge torrent of water towards the Sylveon.

---

As the fight started Captain approached the area near Brooke and Denku. "Well looks like it just got started. This should be an interesting one. Anyone guess how it's going to go?" He glanced over at Brooke. "What about you, beautiful? Think Easter can win this?" He winked and gave a grin. His teeth appearing to literally sparkle as he did.

The sounds that were going on around him, he couldn't make out...not like he could possibly do anything about it. In his current state, Randy was only able to lay there, listening to the sounds of his allies fighting against Yveltal...though it honestly sounded like they were further and further away from him.

Nevertheless, the Incineroar laid there and began to dream. Dream being the relative term to him...it was more like...he was watching a reenactment of his life.

iU8EggM.png

"E hele, dad! It's starting!" the young Litten Randy laughed, as he pulled his dad through the crowd in order to get a good spot by the ring. It was his first time watching a PPGWF match in person and not just hearing about it. And today, he was actually going to see him.

"E mālie, keikikāne." Randy's father laughed, as they got to a position where they could see the ring. He then scooped up the Litten and tossed him over his shoulders, giving him a better view. "Don't forget to cheer him on, Randy."

"Yes sir, dad!" he laughed, excited about what he was going to watch.

The match started almost immediately, it was the Shiny Incineroar, Sol Mask versus the Alolan Golem known as "The Boulder". It was an intense match from what Randy could tell, and it was something to behold. A Thunder Punches colliding with a Fire Punches, the fast movements and even the signature moves.

The Boulder tried to use his Gigavolt Roll but luckily Sol Mask dodged it with ease and let out a loud roar.

"Go Sol Mask!!"

"Sad to say, Boulder...but that was your last move!" Sol Mask smirked, doing a back-flip onto the side of the ring, pumping his fists into the air. To this, everyone, even Randy pumped their hands into the air. "E hele kāua! Signature move: SOL....MOONSAULT" Randy watched as Sol Mask leaped into the air and covering himself in flames, they were almost white looking, but then struck Boulder as he fell.

It wasn't long before the match was over and Sol Mask was declared the winner. Randy shook with excitement, as he smiled widely at this. "One day...I'm going to be just like Sol Mask!"

"Oh? You want to be a wrestler, Randy?" his father asked.

"Uh-huh! I know it's gonna be really hard...but I wanna be just like him!"

Randy's father laughed, as he looked up at his son. "Then we'll get you trained up and make a wrestler outta you, keikikāne!"

iU8EggM.png

-BGM-

There was so much distinction in this match...the cheers to keep going and not to stop, the others of booing and slander...either way, for the Torracat that was Randy, this match seemed way too one sided. Sol Mask, his wrestling idol and hero, was doing absolutely nothing against his current opponent: a Blastoise Gijinka known as Torrent, an upcoming Pokémon wrestler and some punk who challenged Sol Mask for his title of champion.

"C'mon Sol Mask!" Randy shouted, doing his best to cheer for the Shiny Incineroar. "You can beat him!!"

A loud roar was heard, as Randy watched Sol Mask in the ring get back up. He rushed towards Torrent and prepared his signature move: the Sol Moonsault. This was it, this would definitely turn the tide of the match!

"Going for Sol Moonsault? We talked about this, old man..." Torrent said unfazed by this little development. "Fine then...be that way." Torrent began to channel a strong power, from what it looked like...it was a Z-Move aura around him. "Z-Haze..." The moment he said this, his aura flared quickly and what looked like all the damage he had been taken, it was suddenly gone. With another move, he held out a hand and smirked. "Now...Dark Pulse and Water Pulse..."

H-He...he used a Z-Move?! And he's using Dark and Water Pulse?!

A combination of both of these pulses merged and immediately struck Sol Mask out of the air, knocking him back and without any problems, knocked him clear out of the ring and out cold. Randy's heart stopped for a moment, it seemed as he saw this.

"U-Uh...uh it looks like Sol Mask is down for the count! ...T-That means that Torrent is our newest PPGWF champion!"

The crowds were cheering and some booed at this, but nevertheless, at the end of the day, Sol Mask was defeated. He was carried off and that was the last image of Sol Mask Randy saw of him. It seemed like days after that match that he saw, but soon it was mentioned that Sol Mask was forced into immediate retirement and wasn't seen on Alola much afterwards.

Then the talks of the fight being played dirty was in talks...but Randy knew it was true for one reason: the Z-Move. For all intents and purposes for the PPGWF put rules in place, one of those rules being that the power of Alola, Z-Moves, were never to be used in the format of dealing with a combatants own being. It would need to be used in the manner of an actual move, such as Sol Mask's Sol Moonsault. Torrent had used Z-Haze to heal himself...and the federation didn't bat an eye.

I'll kick his ass myself... Randy thought, looking out into the sunset from his bedroom window. I'll train hard...harder than I have, and I'll kick that turtle off his new throne. For Sol Mask...

iU8EggM.png

This was it...the moment he waited for the day he finally evolved. Randy, now a full-fledged Incineroar sat down in the PPGWF's locker rooms and meditated to the best of his abilities. He was finally here...finally here in the Wrestling Federation. All that was left to do was win his first official match, then he would be 100% in.

"Roarton!" Randy sat up quickly, glancing back to see a ridged looking Primeape Gijinka standing behind him, his arms crossed. "You ready for this, kid?"

"Heh...ua makaukau aʻaʻole paha..." he said, standing up, popping the collar on his vest. "It's way too late to back out of this, Charlie. I've been training for this moment...time to show everyone what I'm made of." Randy turned towards Charlie and put a fist out towards him, watching the Primeape bump fists back. Charlie was a family friend, who fought all the time with his father and it was always draws. When his father passed, Charlie stood in to help support the family, so he wasn't just his trainer...but pretty much a second father to him. "Mahalo..."

"Knock 'em dead, kid."

Randy walked past Charlie and made his way to the ring. The bright lights, the roaring crowds, he could hear this powerful atmosphere and it amped him up to a level he didn't ever think was possible. At this moment, he stood in his corner, waiting for his cue to come on.

"Ladies and gentlemen! Today's match is going to pit one of our recent champs against a fiery soul who is lookin' to get his turn in the wrestling spotlight! IN THIS CORNER!! You know him, the newest champ in the minor leagues! Give it up for...Susanoo the Kommo-o!!"

From where he stood, Randy could see his opponent, a Kommo-o Gijinka step into the ring, simply looking unfazed. Most likely he was just waiting for his opponent to pop on out...which was fine, cause Randy felt the same.

"And his challenger!! The fiery soul that could join the PPGWF!! The Rising Star: RANDY ROARTON!!!"

-BGM-

That was the cue. Exhaling slightly, Randy made his stride into the arena and towards the ring. He got in and let out a loud roar, doing his best to amp up the crowd, which definitely worked. Now both combatants were in the ring...and the bell rang. Not shocking anyone, Susanoo made the first move, rushing towards the Incineroar and trying to have a Dragon Claw hit. However, Randy simply pivoted and delivered an elbow to the back of Susanoo's head, which made him go off balance for a bit.

"Tch...lucky hit...that's probably going to be the only one you get, newbie." Susanoo growled, rubbing the back of his head, glaring daggers at Randy.

"Heh, well at least you can move better than spit out insults." he laughed, beckoning for the Kommo-o to bring it.

Susanoo only growled further, before unleashing a loud roar in the form of Noble Roar, which did disorient Randy quite a bit. With his opponent disoriented, the Kommo-o rushed forward and had a Sky Uppercut connect. It launched Randy up into the air, causing him to come crashing back down...but this whole situation caused the crowds to get louder. Susanoo looked up to see what was going on, only to see Randy smirking, and coming back down with Brick Break, knocking him back a bit.

With a slight grunt, Randy lifted his hands in front of him, as quite a bit of dark aura surrounded them. "These fists of mine overflow with a powerful darkness!!" he shouted, the aura around his hands slowly making their way down his arms. "Their deathly glow tell me to grasp victory!"

"T-Tch...grasp victory...my ass!!" Susanoo roared, preparing a Dragon Tail. "There's only one winner...and that's me!"

"HERE I GO!!! DARKEST....LARIAT!!!"

Both combatants rushed towards one another, as the Dragon Tail collided with the Darkest Lariat...well, one arm anyway. Susanoo wasn't expecting the second arm swinging and was caught off guard, being knocked back and out as it struck his face. The crowds were going absolutely insane at this development but were loving it nevertheless.

"I-I DON'T BELIEVE IT! For the first time ever, Susanoo has been knocked out cold!! UNBELIEVABLE!!! THE RISING STAR, RANDY ROARTON AS BEATEN SUSANOO!!!"

Randy could hear the cheers from the audience, as he reveled in it. The match wasn't how he thought it would go at all, this guy wasn't at all as tough as he was meant out to be. It was...it was almost disappointing. He glanced down, seeing Charlie with his arms crossed, nodding slowly. Now was the moment. The Incineroar glanced up to a small area in the arena where those important in the PPGWF sat and watched. And he was there...

"Oi!!!" Randy shouted, this causing the audience to quiet down. He slowly lifted his hand towards that area of the arena and pointed. With a fierce look in his eyes, he spoke. "Torrent!! Current Champion of the PPGWF...I'm makin' a declaration here and now, ka wahine! I'm going to work from the minors up to the major league. And when I get there...there won't be any stopping. I'm going to get up to your level...and I'm going to knock you down off your little throne!"

The audience was hushed for a good while, until a voice was heard.

"Hahahaha! Oh is that so? Then by all means, put your money where your mouth is. A Heel like you won't be able to reach my level. Nevertheless, try your best."

"There is no try...I'll knock you on your shell and kick you across the ring."

"Hahaha! I do love the fiery spirits of newbies. Very well, Heel...once you make it to the major leagues, I'll give you the opportunity to face the Face of PPGWF!"

Face...yeah right. Randy said, exiting the ring, hearing the combinations of cheers and boos. He was now labeled a Heel...but that was alright. By any means necessary...

iU8EggM.png

Right...can't give up now...not when I'm...I'm so close to finally takin' care of Torrent...Solgaleo...Guardians of Alola...please...don't let this be me or...or my friend's times up...please...

Something was wrong.

Kazo just knew it. Despite achieving his dream, despite being around his family, he knew something was wrong. It was easy to see why. Before him, he saw two people he'd never thought he'd see... a male and a female Garchomp... there was really only one person the woman could be... was that his... mom? No... it couldn't be...

"I guess I was wrong...," The female Garchomp said as she folded her arms. "Looks like you did amount to something after all," No... no... this wasn't right... This wasn't... her... she wouldn't...

"You okay there, buddy?" The the male Garchomp asked before snapping his fingers in Kazo's face. Kazo blinked a bit and shook his head a bit.

"I'm sorry... who are you?" Kazo asked. The Garchomp chuckled and tapped Kazo head playfully.

"The blood not goin' to your brain after all that runnin'?" He asked. "It's me, your old man," Kazo blinked again... his dad? The guy that ditched before he was born?

Something was very wrong.

"Um." She began. "I don't think my papa would like it much. And mama....she might ask...something that I dunno if I wanna answer right now." She fidgeted uncomfortably for a while before trying to distract Denku. "Look, the blue lady is doing a thing!" She sounded honestly excited... but Denku knew what was going on. Still, he didn't think he should press it. He just patted her head and looked up.

"Ladies first?"

Wait, so did that mean Easter was a dude? Well, no, they could have been condescending to their opponent, but then again why would a woman ask ladies first? Gah, this was confusing!

"Well looks like it just got started. This should be an interesting one. Anyone guess how it's going to go?" The Captian asked before he looked over to Brooke. "What about you, beautiful? Think Easter can win this?" He winked and gave a grin. His teeth appearing to literally sparkle as he did.

"I hope they can win this. If they can't, you got someone to rival legends on your crew," Denku commented. Then again, maybe the whole crew was that strong?

Location: Mowloo (Team Alola, Day 15)

Poké: 500

Inventory: Good Rod, Antidote x2, Kasib Berry

Today, Nani had experienced more physical pain in the span of a few minutes than she had for the rest of her life combined. She'd been beaten, blasted, barraged, and borderline broken by the brutal battle with the bird. Most recently, Yveltal had struck Nani with a dark punch, knocking her out of the air and onto the floor. Randy was down... right? Keanu and Marie probably weren't holding in there much longer. Nani tried to get up to her feet, and succeeded for a second or two...only to fall back to the floor. Even so, she kept her eyes on the fight, steadily crawling back toward the action. Another hit, and she was definitely down, but maybe if she played dead whenever Yveltal looked at her?

...would that even work???

Not like Nani had many options left.

Groudon's Mountain Team Showdown

"Weeeellll what've we got here?"

Scarlet slowly woke up, letting out a yawn as the voice of someone entered the room. A sudden realization hit her. "What if this is someone else's room!?" She thought to herself, rubbing her eyes. As she took a look, a small girl was leaning over Scarlet, causing her to jump a bit.

"I finally decided to come here and what do I find? Regular Gijinka sleeping. That's very interesting. I didn't think Rayquaza would let anyone who wasn't a Legend step foot here after his failed Disciple... whoops that was a secret wasn't it..."

Well, she didn't seem upset about her sleeping here. In fact, she seemed more curious than anything. "Well..." She let out another yawn, stretching her arms. "We're in a rather interesting situation ourselves, what with the Godslayers and all..."

"Oh, where are my manners." Scarlet said, sitting up on the bed. "My name is Scarlet. It's a please to meet you." She extended a pincer at the assumed legendary.

Lok was having not much luck trying to find the girl. Almost everyone he asked seemed to have seen her, expressing annoyance at the girl. They did not, however, give any other helpful information outside of that. One of them seemed especially annoyed, having asked to lift the girl up. Lok let out a sigh. "This is going nowhere..." He said, shaking his head. Still, it wasn't like he had a better idea. Begrudgingly, he kept asking around.

Eventually, he did get a helpful answer, being directed towards the makeshift prison tent. Lok's heart sank, realizing what she was probably doing. After thanking the individual that had helped him, he bolted towards the prison tent, looking to find the Godslayer and making sure Fiona was safe.

While still basking in the glow of success, Ari was nudged in the shoulder by his father. "Now that you're a big Chaser and all, why don't we go inside and eat dinner?"

"Sure!" the Litleo chirped, and the next thing he knew, he was standing at the dinner table. They were eating a big feast, but it was only him, his family, and friends there. The atmosphere felt cozy, a far cry from the usual hustle and bustle. Kah was busy tearing into a giant turkey leg, which, next to Suiten's delicate nibbling of grilled fish, made for a humorous picture, but there was something wrong with it just the same.

"Wait..." he said suspiciously. "Didn't you both...leave? Why are you here?"

"No way," she shook her head. "Why would I ever leave you guys? Sure, I want to be tough, but you all need me more."

"Yes, you are all my friends. I would never leave you," Suiten affirmed.

"Yeah..." Ari said slowly. "You would never leave...right?"

"Never."

"The thought never crossed my mind."

Easter tensed as Apanie raised her hand as if to fire something, though his mind was working furiously. She wouldn't be so predictable as to repeat herself...would she? If so, that's...disappointing.

Instead, however, the girl snapped her fingers, and electricity raced across her body. She streaked toward the Sylveon soon afterward, and the fairy type had time enough to smile in satisfaction at being right before she crashed into him, bouncing off to hover in the air and fire off a Hydro Pump.

"Good, good!" Easter cackled, rolling to the side to avoid the blast, just close enough that he could feel a fine mist coming off of the attack, soaking the edges of his socks. "My, my, I suppose you can say I got my feet wet now." He sprang upright and concentrated as a ring of pink stars gathered around him, before he directed them toward the girl. While he was tempted to fire off his own heavy-hitting attack, it was better to wait for her to lose focus first.

Keanu's eyes widened as Yveltal appeared in front of him. He only had enough time to prepare a quick Substitute as she fired off a Focus Blast attack point-blank, completely obliterating the poor doll he left in his place. "Damn," he whistled from the side. "You're one scary tita, ya know dat?" He backed away, grabbing a random berry from his pouch as he did so. It was...an Oran Berry. Oh.

The Pikachu looked around, trying to figure out who needed it the most. Randy was down, as well as the other Pikachu, so they were out. That just left...himself and Marie. Well, it was probably for the better to give it to the Popplio, as she had almost collapsed earlier. As he moved toward her, he cursed himself in his mind. Whaddaya doing, Keanu? You need all da healing ya can get. Yet still his traitorous legs carried him forward, until he finally reached her. "Here," he said, holding out the blue fruit, "Ya should eat this. It'll heal ya a bit."

Lunala loved the roof. Well, she more loved the fact that not only was it up high, but it was also where she could feel the wind. She would spend her nights gazing up at the moon from there. Now, however, there was another who was also here, but looking down at the clouds instead. Isole, the other ghost type.

"The night is beautiful," the moon legend said solemnly. "It must be strange, seeing it from this angle," she smiled. "And yet, though our placement may be different, the world itself remains the same." She did not comment on the notebook. The girl would tell her about it if she felt the need.

Despite having given it her all in that last attack, it was still very clear that the fight was not over yet. Though they had managed to ground the legend, Marie could barely keep herself steady as things were. While the aqua ring around her had been working over time this whole fight, it nursing her wounds was all that kept the strength in her legs and kept her from completely collapsing onto the ground. As the legend vanished, she merely stared at the spot where they had been for a second, before her eyes started to move around and see the legend attack Keanu.

It took her a few seconds to process what had happened, but after the attack was launched, the girl launched an attack of her own, shouting out a pulse of the same fairy-type energy she had done so many times before this fight. After the attack was sent out, she stood there for a moment, barely being able to hear what it was that Keanu was saying. All the same, the girl weakly raised her and, slowly, took the oran berry, eating it once it was within her grasp.

Nine hadn't realized that despite having fought both a legend and a godslayer all within rapid succession, his true journey through Northshore had just begun. The Poliwrath had made no exaggeration in his claim that everywhere across the city was in need of aid. The storm and flood had caused a significant amount of damage throughout the whole town, leaving behind wreckage, cluttered streets and large puddles that covered the ground. Deciding to help those he could, and ask what he needed to, the man first stopped at a hotel.

While the building itself was, relatively, fine and not in need of too much reconstruction work, the first floor of the hotel had been turned into, essentially a pond and the furniture within it was far from usable. Offering his services to help, the Houndoom alongside some of the other hotel employees had gone to moving the destroyed furniture away. While Nine's arms were still sore from the day before, he felt that the process of moving the furniture was a lot less painful then it could have been, having already warmed up by lifting pieces of driftwood. The job took a bit of time, but eventually the man had managed to find a break in his work and went to continue his search for the young Blitzle. Talking to the person who had overseen his work, an elderly cincinno with the habit of calling him "sweetie," the Houndoom wasn't given any real leads as to her location. Though, interestingly, the woman mentioned she hadn't come in alone to the town.

After thanking the woman for her help, Nine moved on throughout the rest of the town, until he was met with yet another person in need. It was a man who had been atop a playground set...attempting to single-handedly lift and hot dog stand off the set. Making his way over to the man, Nine had walked atop it himself to try and push the cart off. Neither he nor the man had any idea how it had gotten to this point, but with their combined effort they began to able to move it. Unfortunately, as they shoved it off the playground set, the sudden shift had caused Nine to slip off the set on top of the hot dog stand. Groaning in pain, Nine merely gave a thumbs up to the man, who had responded with his thanks and displeasure with his own lack at readily available hot dogs to give. All the same, Nine had asked the man about the Blitzle as well, stating that she had come in late at night with a man in large heavy cloak. He was a bit off put by them, not because of their obviously out of place appearance but more by how they didn't want to buy from him. All the same, he hadn't the faintest idea where she was now.

Thanking the man again for his help, Nine moved on to continue his search. This time he was stopped by a girl whose cat had managed to get itself stuck in a bush. Offering to help the girl, Nine moved to the bush and attempted to try and both coax the cat out and reach in to grab onto it. At the end of the day, Nine was successful in his endeavors, but he had reaffirmed he was no cat person. All the same, Nine was pleased with his work and, while the girl had no idea who he was asking about, was happy to see her reunited with her pet.

Sighing, as he was now wading through a large deal of water in order to continue his search, his thoughts were interrupted by a tap on the shoulder. Twisting around, the Houndoom looked to see the rather shy girl with a familiar face behind him. "Dalia!" Nine threw his arms out to the side with a bright smile on his face. "Boy have I been. You are not an easy Blitzle to find but this is not an easy city to search in right now. And I've been pretty busy too. But yeah, how you been? Done anything fun in the past like, 12 hours?"

Team Showdown - Sky Palace

"That big ol' green good for nothin' piece of work..."  Taiga said to herself, still steaming from Rayquaza's obvious resentment of them.  "God of hot air...that's what he is."  Taiga ran into no one in her angry stomping, but she did end up finding a lavish pool.  She grinned, seeing as how she hadn't been swimming in so long.  The arctic waters were too cold, and the only water for miles was frozen, so seeing fresh water that she could actually swim in was rather nice.  She took off her outerwear, only leaving on her tight top and underwear.  "Don't wanna be caught in the bluff by some creep like Lunala.  Fufufufufu."  She said, as she dove into the water, not making so much as a splash.

After about a couple of hours of non-stop swimming, she got out and dried off, and made her way back to her room.  It was a miracle she could even remember where it was in this big place.  She was rather pooped, and decided to turn in.

The next morning, she stretched as she rose.  After her stomach growled, she made her way out of bed and towards the kitchen, giving a rather lazy, "Morning Scar..." on the way out, not even seeing the Gijinka with her.  Once in the kitchen, she grabbed all the meat she could find, and started lazily munching on it.

Brooke leaned back against the railing of the ship, crossing her arms over her chest. “Easter’s got this one. I’d put money on it… if I wasn’t so broke.” That was a new feeling. She had given all of her coin to Fawkes, meaning that for the first time since she was a teenager she was completely broke. “She’s obviously strong but Easter’s experienced. I’d argue that means more than strength most of the time.”

She thought back to her fight the Hydreigon. She had been outclassed heavily, but Kah hadn’t been able to land a solid hit on her for most of the fight. It was the perfect example the difference between strength and experience. Easter also showcased what she meant, holding back and throwing pinpoint accurate attacks as his opponent went all out from the start. “Yeah. He’s got this.”

Team Mac, Day 31, Mushroom Forest

For each of the group the scene before their eyes would grow fuzzy. Seem to skip and blur for a few seconds. And then they each would find themselves alone with one of the people from their dreams.

For Kazo it was his brother. "Can we talk for a moment? You've been through a lot it seems. I can tell, just look at you, you've grown so much. And I don't mean physically. You've had some rough times haven't you? I'm...sorry I wasn't there for you. But I'm here now. But you have to let me. You can stay here if you want you know. Just let it all go and you'll get to stay here. What do you say?" As he spoke the scenery behind him became more blurred. Colors mixing together. But Denku himself was clear, sharp, almost too in focus.
---
For Ari it was his father. "My son. I knew one day you'd have to grow up and see how the world was. I had only hoped you'd be older. But you've faced it all nonetheless. I've never been more proud of you, Ariel. You never lost your way even once. There were times that it got close, I know, and I wish I could have been by your side to guide you through it. I can guide you now. You can stay here and you will never have to face fear again. This is your home if you wish it. Think hard, for it may be the last important choice you have to make." Ari wouldn't be able to make out any of the other faces behind him. They all were a smudge on a canvas and the only face that he could see was his father's. Who was looking down at him with infinite patience.
---
And for Mac....it was herself. "You know...we're pretty awesome aren't we? Look at what we've done? What we've fought? And we never lost...not entirely. We kept fighting, we showed them we can fight, and we took down some pretty incredible people. I think you already know what's going on here. You're smarter than they all think. If you stay here you'll get all the praise you could ever need. But it has to be what you want. What you truly want. I think I already know the answer. You're me, and we're great, but what do you say?"

Team Neo Not Dark, Day 30, S.S. Showdown

"Ha, interesting take, both of you." Captain said. His eyes were on Brooke and Denku instead of the fight itself. "Apanie is the strongest of the regular crew. But back when Easter was here he was plenty strong himself. And I'm guessing he got even stronger...." He hesitated. "I heard what happened with Kyurem. I...am sorry. It was my fault Kyurem was able to be revived at all. I had the staff here, for safe keeping, and I lost it." His smile faded from his face and were anyone to look they'd see a haunted look in his eyes. "Me losing things seems to be a recurring theme on this ship."
---
"I didn't take you for a pun maker." Apanie said without amusement. She crossed her arms over her face as the pink stars peppered her body. Despite the lack of protection it seemed that the attack hadn't done any major damage and the girl once again covered herself in electricity as though she were about to use Volt Switch again. But she only moved a couple feet before she stopped. The electricity faded and Easter would, for a moment, see the girl had her arm raised. If he looked closely he could see a small tube emerge from under her wrist and a purple sludge shot out from it. A projectile of Toxic aiming to cover the Sylveon.

Team Alola, Day 15, Mowloo

Yveltal was getting tired of this fight. They were going to lose. It was clear now. One was down and another could barely even crawl. The last two remaining were grouped together and holding on by a thread. The Pikachu had even cut his own energy just to dodge her attack.

It was time to finish this. The pink attack rushed towards her but Yveltal was gone before it hit. She tore a rift and stepped through as the attack passed over where she once was. Then she emerged directly in front of Keanu and Marie and swung her arms down with incredible force.

Team Showdown, Day 30, Sky Palace

"The night is beautiful,"

"I had a feeling someone would come up here. I didn't think it would be you." Isole said, sounding almost bored. Though it was honestly nerve-wracking to be sitting up here with a Legend. Especially after having just finished fighting one. "You uh...you're supposed to be the moon or something right? Why....why do you live down here?" Isole stared up at the moon as her thoughts came spilling out. "If I could stay up there and not have to deal with people I would."
---
"My name is Scarlet. It's a please to meet you."

Celebi held out her hand and grasped Scarlet's claw, the large appendage dwarfing her own, and for a brief moment Scarlet would suddenly see a vision. A small group of Gijinka, each with a faded image of a Legendary hovering above them, standing before a small, but dangerous looking, Gijinka who seemed otherworldly. Unusually thin and with bladed arms.

Then the vision faded as Celebi backed away. "Sorry about that. Forgot that happens sometimes. I am Celebi, guardian of the forest...well, of a forest at least. I don't protect them all though I bet I could if I had to."

She looked to the side as Taiga sleepily made her way out. "People don't react as strongly to me these days do they? What a weird time we live in don't you think?"
---
As Taiga gorged herself on the food she'd hear a booming laughter. "Usually I'm the first one awake and eating!" Solgaleo came in, with his arm around Groudon, practically dragging the half-asleep Legend into the room. "Finally found someone with more of an appetite for food than me! I bet I could out eat you though, your stomach is so small compared to mine!"

Team Karaoke, Day 28, Northshore

Fiona sat, cross-legged, on the floor of the tent. Nikora was in a chair in front of her, wrapped in chains, and was looking down at her with pity in his eyes. "You are lost aren't you?" He said. "Are these the ones who killed Kiwidinok?"

Fiona didn't speak for a while. Her eyes were looking down at her hands, which themselves where clasped together and trembling, and she had to take a few breaths before speaking. "Yes...no. Not directly. One of their group...who isn't in their group anymore. But yes, it is their fault."

"And yet you fight alongside them. Why?"

Fiona flinched. Lok would reach the tent around this time as she responded. "What else am I supposed to do? He'd kill me for messing up. I'm not strong enough for him to care about losing me. I thought maybe they could lead me to a Legend and...."

She paused and looked up, seeing Lok enter. "Ah...w-what are you doing here?" She asked.

Nikora watched on, silent, as his gaze slowly moved to Lok. "Hello again." He said simply.
---
"Boy have I been. You are not an easy Blitzle to find but this is not an easy city to search in right now. And I've been pretty busy too. But yeah, how you been? Done anything fun in the past like, 12 hours?"

Dalia took a step back, seemingly surprised by the reception. "Erm...fun? I don't...are you okay?" She asked hesitantly. Was the person who saved her...insane? "I've been...waiting. There isn't much for me to do." she gestured around. "I've never seen so much water before..."

Location: Mowloo (Team Alola, Day 15)

Poké: 500

Inventory: Good Rod, Antidote x2, Kasib Berry

How much of a beating can one gijinka take anyway? Legendary, indeed... But surely, the guardians of Alola were more powerful than some pompous bird. Whether Nani and her group was stronger than her was yet to be determined though, but it certainly wasn't looking like that was the case. However, Nani could still move. She could only just barely move, but she wasn't done just yet. While Yveltal was busy attacking Keanu and Marie, now seemed like the perfect chance.

With what little strength and energy she had left, Nani clumsily forced herself up onto her feet for only a brief moment, before lunging herself forward toward Yveltal, head alight with that distinct pink energy. And then, hit or miss, Nani fell face-first onto the floor, her breathing being the only sign that she was still alive at all after her attack. That's all I've got left in me.

Everything suddenly changed... He was alone with Denku... the brother that left him the earliest, the one he missed most... he looked like he always imagined Denku would grow up. He had to look up at him... it really took him back. "Can we talk for a moment? You've been through a lot it seems," Kazo nodded, his vision blurring a bit as tears filled his eyes, forcing him to wipe them. "I can tell, just look at you, you've grown so much. And I don't mean physically. You've had some rough times haven't you? I'm...sorry I wasn't there for you. But I'm here now. But you have to let me. You can stay here if you want you know. Just let it all go and you'll get to stay here. What do you say?" Denku asked, holding out a hand. The scenery behind him became more blurred, colors mixing together, everything becoming blurry... but much like the past, Denku was a pillar of clarity, of safety.

Kazo knew what he had to do... he reached his hand out, ready to grab it so many times like before, to let his big brother to help him. However, as he was reaching out, he stopped, hesitating... something was nagging him... something... he couldn't quite place his finger on. He looked at his hand, and back up to his big brother... before he decided to speak.

"Bro... I...," He took a deep breath. "I have... I have been through a lot," He admitted, placing his hands in his pockets. "After you left... a lot has happened. I've been hurt... I had things taken from me... things taken I'll never get back....," He closed his eyes thinking about that awful night.... "But...," his slipped out of his pocket, reaching into his shirt, and pulling out his most prized item... the drill... He held it tight, turning around a bit to collect himself before continuing.

"There's more than just that. I've met people...," His mind flashed to Kah, the dragon that tried to teach him strength... to Regirock, who showed him how much he'd have to work. To Latios, who showed him the man he wanted to be... and to Ari and Mac, the two that showed him the path he should take. "I've taken care of others, been taken care of... helped people live, watched people die...," He sighed as he opened his eyes, looking at his drill. "I've changed, bro. I'm... not the same scared kid I was back then. Staying here would be wonderful... but it wouldn't be the same...," He turned to face Denku, noticing that now instead of looking up to him, he was eye level with his brother. "Besides, I turned out to be just like you. I'm no longer the youngest of our band of brothers... I got a little brother and sister to return to... to protect, just like you did for me so long ago," He had a small smile on his face as he finished up. "I'm sorry bro, but the answer is no,"

Denku looked at the man before turning to stare at the fight. "I don't know everything that's happened on this ship. But don't beat yourself up over Kyurem. He was put down, and shouldn't be a threat to the world any more...," He looked over the crew before sighing. "You seemed to have made a tight crew," He commented. "I wish we had something like this for my brothers. Maybe we wouldn't have been separated if we were on a ship's crew...," Suddenly, something clicked. "Wait, you referred to Easter as a 'he'. So Easter is a... maaaan?" He wasn't sure, but he was hoping he finally got an answer for this.

Team Showdown - Sky Palace

"Usually I'm the first one awake and eating!"

"Eh?"  Taiga looked to the side to see some Gijinka, seemingly bullying Groudon.  He didn't look like anyone she had met here already, but he was giving off some weird vibes like that Lunala girl.  She kept eating, warily watching him as he took a seat next to her.

"Finally found someone with more of an appetite for food than me! I bet I could out eat you though, your stomach is so small compared to mine!"

"And who are you supposed to be?  The Fat Ass Legend, I presume?  fufufufufu!"  Taiga brought her hand to her lips to cover her mouth as she laughed.  She took another bite of whatever the meat she had found was.  "You challenging me, Taiga the Terrible, to an eat off?  Someone's a little to big for their britches."  Her eyes narrowed, as she gnawed on the meat some more.  "You know...I take eatin' seriously.  If I'm hungry enough, I can eat a ship...sail and all.  I've done it before, but I can do better with actual food."  She then looked to Groudon, who seemed to be still half-asleep.  Seeing him in this kind of light was...really weird.  "How are you feelin', Groudy?"  She smirked.  "You a little sore?  Heard my friends gave you a good ol' fashioned beat down.  Fufufufufufu!"

Groudon's Mountain Team Showdown

Scarlet was taken back by her sudden vision, eyes looking at Celebi. She had heard passing word about Celebi on her travels; none of them had mentioned any sort of visions like this, or at least she didn't recall them saying that. "What... what was that?" Scarlet muttered, although by now Celebi's attention was taken by Taiga, who had simply walked out of the room. Scarlet waved at her partner as she was making her way out, before turning to Celebi.

"Yeah... me and my friends have seen a few legendaries on our journeys..." Scarlet responded, her mind still on the vision. "What exactly... was that?" Scarlet said, turning to the legendary. "That vision... was it the future? Or maybe the past." Scarlet stood up. "None of the above?"

"What else am I supposed to do? He'd kill me for messing up. I'm not strong enough for him to care about losing me. I thought maybe they could lead me to a Legend and...." Fiona's voice greeted Lok as he entered the room. There was something off about how she was talking to the Godslayer, it was a lot more casual than he had expected. Fiona turned to Lok, clearly surprised by his showing up. "Ah...w-what are you doing here?"

"Hello again." Nikoria simply greeted him, the Godslayer's eyes now directly on the boy. It almost made Lok flinch, although he gave the maniac a glare.

"Hello." Lok said, still not wanting to be rude. Even if the person he was talking too was a psycho. He turned back to Fiona. "I came looking for you. I was worried you had gotten lost... and then I heard you were looking to talk to..." Lok's eyes shifted to Nikoria for a minute. "...him..." His eyes drifted back to Fiona. "...and, well... I just wanted to make sure you were safe." He said, clasping his hands. "So... what exactly did you plan on doing after we 'lead you to a Legend?'" Lok said, his tone becoming a bit more serious.

"The last important choice, huh...?" Ari looked down, his smile gaining an edge of bitterness. "I knew this was too good...to be true. After all...you're...dead. And for a long time, I kept trying to deny that, and even now, I...wanted to deny it for just a little bit longer. After all, the past hurts. So much happened, and I couldn't stop any of it. You died, Kah left, Suiten left, and now it feels like we're incomplete, we're not whole. Mac and I...we were never the strongest of the group. And Kazo...he's wonderful, kind, and amazing, but Kah and Suiten...they were powerful. And without them...maybe we can't keep going forward as fast as we did before."

But..." the Litleo looked up, and this time, tears were flowing from his eyes. "You told me yourself. I had the makings of a true king. So I can't stay here, I just can't," his face twisted up in pain. "I have to face my past. I've been running from it for so long, but I...well, you understand right?" his voice took on a pleading tone.

The cub smiled then, a shaky, watery smile, but a smile nonetheless. "I will be brave like you. I will...stop running. The past hurts, but I can either run from it, or...learn from it. And I choose to learn from it." He stood up straighter, eyes shining like stars. "I'm going back!"

Easter wasn't surprised to see his attack didn't do much damage to the other girl. Still, every little bit counted in a battle.

"I didn't take you for a pun maker," Apanie replied without emotion.

"You could say I got...corrupted. Or something," Easter waved a hand airily as she covered her body with electricity once more, and then seemed to change her mind at the last minute, materializing a tube which shot out Toxic sludge. Everybody seems to love using that move on me, the fairy type thought sourly for a second. As if being weak to poison will make that move twice as effective.

He twisted out of the way, backflipping to avoid the sludge. He didn't fancy getting poisoned so early in the game, though he could probably handle it better than most. Still, it wasn't wise, especially against a strong opponent. "Now," he said, smiling beatifically. "Let's see how you handle a little shock." And with that, he released several large purple shockwaves in a wide beam.

"Let's get outta here!" Keanu said, picking Marie up and attempting to run away from the force of Yveltal's arms. It was at that moment that he saw the other Pikachu pick themselves up and dive toward the legendary.

Wow, how akamai, he thought. I gotta be more like dem. Think smart, not strong. Steeling himself, he released multiple electric waves from his cheeks, straight at the crazy woman in front of him.

"I had a feeling someone would come up here. I didn't think it would be you." Isole said, sounding almost bored. "You uh...you're supposed to be the moon or something right? Why....why do you live down here?" the ghost type stared up at the moon. "If I could stay up there and not have to deal with people I would."

Lunala smiled gently, though her eyes were solemn. "I used to think like that." She looked up as well. "When I was younger, and not yet what I am now, I thought it would be an excellent idea to live forever up there. After all, I had Solgaleo as a companion, and he was always noisy and getting into fights."

The bat closed her eyes in remembrance. "But then, once I got the chance, I stayed on the moon for...well, I'm not quite sure how many years, with only a few others for company, and I shunned even them after a while. You could say I became like Groudon, and if it weren't for certain people, perhaps I'd be there still." She smiled. "I was arrogant. Thought I'd seen all there was to see, that the world was loud, noisy, and inconsiderate. But I hadn't realized what I'd sacrificed for peace. Friendship, laughter, tears, emotions in general. Without them, I became...stagnant. An unchanging entity, a thing, rather than a person."

"But Solgaleo refused to let me become like that, and now here I am," she laughed, a low, gentle laugh, that seemed more like an airy chuckle than anything else. "Like the moon, I've experienced both sides, and I choose to dwell in the light. After all, what is the moon without the sun?"

The legendary looked at Isole. "You will find yourself making many such choices, and while there isn't really a right choice, I hope you end up selecting the one that's right for you." She smiled wistfully. "After all, it is our choices that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities or character quirks."

As Marie ate the berry, her senses began to return to her, and she was glad that they did as she was able to actually be startled as the legend of death appeared right behind her. Gasping at the sight of it, Marie couldn't do much to avoid the attack, but was swept off her feet to avoid the attack by the pikachu next to her. Before she could get her bearings more solidly, the girl then saw a streak of pink light rocket towards the legend, only to see that it was actually the now collapsed form of the other pikachu. After she was able to properly orient herself, the girl fired yet one more pulse of pink energy towards the queen of death.

As the Blitzle made her comment about  the water, Nine looked out to see the rest of the town, flooded and drowned. His face was a bit solemn as he said, "yeah, it's a far cry from a home sweet home to me as well." However shortly after, his expression changed to a more playful one as he looked back towards the girl. "So are you waiting for it to all just dry up?"

"I don't...have anything else to do." She says. Her speech seemed to be halted at times, as though she were thinking about the words more carefully than one normally would.

"Well doesn't that work out. I have tons of things I need to do. So, want to kill the time helping me out with those?"

"What do you want from me?"

Nine couldn't help but sigh a bit to himself as he realized how coy he was being but still looked to the girl. "Cutting to the chase, alright." His expression lost a bit of the playful edge to it as he began speaking, "as a chaser, naturally I chase legends. And I'm pretty sure there's one in particular here that I need to find. I figured you could help me with that."

"What would I know of...Legends?"

"Well, the only people I can think of who would go into a scuffle with a godslayer are chasers and outstanding folks from this city. And you're certainly not the latter. Which must make you a chaser, and it's a chasers job to know about legends."

"I'm not a....chaser. I just don't want people...pained."

With a more warm smile on his face Nine remarked, "I'm sure you and Gwen, the Mismagius, would get along quite well. But, if that's the case, then all the more I figure you'd love to help me find the particular legend I'm looking for."

Dalia rubbed her arm awkwardly. "I don't know what I'm supposed to do."

"Then I'll ask directly. Do you know anything about Jirachi?"

"I don't recognize...that name."

"They're the one associated with wishes. And I suppose granting them if you're lucky enough. So we'll say Wish Granter."

Recognition sparked in her eyes. "I think I know who you mean...but I don't know where they reside."

Still a smile on his face, Nine lets out a partially defeated sigh saying, "well, I suppose it was a bit of wish from myself to think that you might." Standing more upright he asks, "well, you're at least familiar with some of the stories, so, outside of granting wishes do you know any interesting tales or myths about them?"

"I...have heard the Wish Granter was one of the first. And...that they hide themself away many years ago."

"That so?" Nine seems to be pensive on this for a moment before saying, "well, I suppose if I could grant wishes I'd probably keep to myself too. Anything else?"

"Well...." She looks around. "When...first coming here I was...confused." She looks at Nine. "I always heard this place was a toxic swamp."

"A swamp? That fits more with Ogren then here, and I'd hardly call that place toxic. But for as long as I can remember Northshore has been like this...well,  a bit less wet."

She nodded, slowly. "Which means...someone changed that....someone people would want to keep safe." She shrugged then. "That's all I know....is that really what you wanted to ask me?"

Nine raised an eyebrow at her first comment, repeating, "someone they'd want to keep safe..." Seemingly lost in thought for a moment, as she spoke again, he looked a bit confused saying, "yes? I'm on a bit of a hunt for the legend and I don't quite know how much time I have to find it. I just figured that you were a chaser and probably came here with Nikora, so you'd probably know something. And I'd much rather ask you then him."

"I didn't..." She started backing away, looking nervous at the mention of his name.

He shrugged. "Hm, well, then I guess I'm wrong. Doesn't really make much of a difference to me."

She nodded. "I'm...going now." She said and continued to back away.

He gives a small wave before smiling, "well, alright then. It was nice talking with you, and I hope we can do so again. Oh, and Dalia, thanks. Not just for today. You've been a big help." With his parting having been completed, the Houndoom then clapped his hands together. "Well, might as well go see someone about keeping the people safe." With that, Nine made his way back to the camp, ready to speak with the guard captain that had helped them the day before.

Team Alola, Day 15, Mowloo

Yveltal was surprised when she missed her mark. Had she slowed down? She knew she should have hit them but they were still able to dodge. Perhaps she had been hibernating for too long...

She didn't get any time to ruminate further as She was struck in the back with a painfully familiar energy. It caused the Death Goddess to stumble forward into Keanu's paralyzing wave.

She looked up and stared Keanu in the eyes with a penetrating glare just as Marie made her move. Yveltal would have tried to counter the attack but she felt even more sluggish than before and the strike hit her dead on.

The Legend was staggered. She seemed to almost fall over before righting herself once more. Her gaze went between Keanu and Marie and her eyes settled back on the Pikachu. With some effort she raised her hands up and fired not one, but two, Focus Blasts at the Electric type.

Team Mac, Day 31, Mushroom Forest

Mac did think she knew what, and who, was going on. It wasn't something she expected to experience and certainly not so easily...but it gave her something to think about. She fought a lot. She fought real hard. And not many people took her seriously. Even her companions she could tell sometimes were humoring her. She didn't like to think about it but it was true.

If she stayed here she didn't have to bother with any of that.

She could relax, take it easy, and get everything she wanted.

It would be her perfect world.

"But it wouldn't be real." Mac said. "Even if it felt like it I'd know. And I'd also know something else. I know that no one out there would know my name. I might get praise and stuff in here but...I'd be a nobody to everyone out there. And Mac ain't gonna be a nobody in any world!"

The other Mac smiled.

Denku smiled.

Richard smiled.

"It seems your resolve is strong. And your choice is made. Good luck, and don't ever forget that when given the chance to take the easy life you decided to keep fighting."

The trio woke up underneath the largest mushroom yet. The fog was still present on the ground and, due to the fact they all were laying down, it crept almost all the way over them.

Yet they didn't feel sleepy anymore. They felt refreshed. Though there was a hollow feeling in them as well. As they would in some way realize what they had left behind.

And there before them, hovering above the ground, bathed in moonlight, was a woman of radiant beauty.

"Welcome back to the realm of reality. I am Cresselia and I am very happy to see you've made a choice you will be satisfied with."

Team Neo Not Dark, Day 30, S.S. Showdown

Captain raised an eyebrow at Denku's words, and his smile returned at the end, before giving a surprised laugh. "I suppose it's hard to tell at times. He certainly doesn't make it any easier. The first bath night was....sure something let me tell you. But, well, shouldn't you be asking Easter that yourself?" His gaze swept the deck of the ship. Apanie fighting, Solana clinging to Trava and jumping up and down, excitedly doing commentary with Trava who seemed to be distracted by a bucket that was rolling back and forth on the deck.

"Tight crew...perhaps. It's still new...compared to the old one. But that's something to keep in mind." He looked at Denku. "Sometimes your crew changes but, if the connection remains, they'll always come back." He gestured at Easter. "I never expected to see them on this ship again but here we are."

--

Apanie tilted her head as Easter dodged the attack. "You're more nimble than you look." She said with a slight hint of interest. Though she still didn't move from her spot as Easter's attack landed. The blow caused her to wince but she seemed intent on standing her ground and not showing much reaction. "You call that a shock?" She began, electricity crackling along her arm. "THIS is a shock." She whipped her arm up and a loud crack of electricity could be heard before a Thunderbolt raced in a straight line towards Easter. She then shifted her stance so that her other foot, and arm, was forward instead and shot a second bolt.

Team Showdown, Day 30, Sky Palace

Solgaleo gave Groudon a look. "So this is what the people of this land are like?"

"Unfortunately..." Groudon rumbled, looking almost ashamed. "My apologies, Solgaleo, you don't deserve such disrespect." From the way he spoke it seemed that Groudon held the other Legend in high regard despite his own position in the "hierarchy" of Legendaries.

To this Solgaleo gave a hearty laugh. "I don't mind at all! Its good to see someone with such drive and spunk!" He clapped Taiga hard on the back, with more force than was likely necessary or intended, and chuckled some more.

"If you say so." Groudon said, sighing as he looked to Taiga. "Yes, I was surprised by your friend's strength. Though I will admit it was your rather unusual tactic that really made me realize that you were more determined than I had first assumed. Sacrifice is not an easy thing to do so casually...That being said, don't call me that."

---

"Vision?" Celebi replied, seemingly distracted. "Oh...yes that was the future...or was it past...I get them confused so very easy. I suppose in a sense you could say it was the future." She seemed to ponder it before waving a hand. "But that doesn't matter right now does it? Rayquaza always did tell me I shouldn't forget the present. Otherwise I might blink and years have passed. So you've met many Legends then...perhaps you aim to be a Disciple?"

---

Isole seemed rather uncomfortable by Lunala's words. She clutched the pad of paper in her hands and looked back out at the clouds as they passed by. "What if I don't know what I am..." She muttered, more to herself than Lunala.

--

Isole found herself waking up on the top of the tower. Having fell asleep shortly after her talk with Lunala. She stared up at the sky and gave a deep sigh. Eventually she'd have to get up and get some food wouldn't she?

Team Karaoke, Day 28, Northshore

"Ahaha...That, that wasn't anything serious." Fiona said, looking downward shyly as Lok interrogated her. "You shouldn't worry about that and um, er..." She scratched her finger across her cheek awkwardly while avoiding the Rotom's eyes.

"Why bother putting on the act still?" Nikora said bluntly. "I don't think he's stupid enough to keep falling for it."

Fiona's face froze and her hand slowly dropped from her face. There was a terrible silence for a moment before...

The Drapion looked Lok dead in the eyes and he could see a dangerous glint in her eyes. "Fine." She snapped. "Whatever. I give. You want to know what I planned on doing? I was going to kill it." She glared at Lok, then, with her body trembling. "Your friend killed Kiwidinok and screwed everything up. Where was I supposed to go then? I couldn't go to the others, they'd just toss me aside or worse. I'd be just a pawn. I'm not on their level. So I had to tag along with your happy little family and hope to figure a way out of this mess. So now you know. What're you gonna do about it, turn me in?" She stepped forward, practically pressing herself against Lok as she looked at him with a wicked smirk. "If you can that is."

---

Gwendoline sighed with relief as she finally found Nine. Though she certainly didn't expect to see him in such an uncomfortable looking position. "Er...do you need some help?" She asked politely. "I...found something out. The mercenary captain couldn't really tell me much. He was saying how even if we did help Kyogre and the city it was something he was sworn to keep safe. But I'm starting to piece some stuff together. When you're...done with that do you have any new information that could give us the missing piece?"

From underneath a log, trying to keep it only slightly raised above him, laying down inside of a puddle as he was doing so, the man's eyes lit up as he saw Gwen approach. "Gwen! Lovely sight you are amidst this rubble, but don't worry, I'm quite alright. Just...marking a spot." He seemed to smile even brighter as Gwen mentioned what she had done saying, "well, great minds think alike, it seems. I was just about to go see him myself, but glad you got the head start on me. I'll talk a bit more just...in a few minutes."

After a bit of time had passed and a man came back over, getting something out from the puddle Nine was in, the Houndoom eventually pulled himself out, shaking himself off a bit. "Glad that's out of the way. But yeah, detective work." Without much waiting the chaser immediately said, "did you know that Northshore used to be a toxic swamp?"

Gwen gave him a questioning look. Tapping her chin a few times she shrugged. "So what's the punchline?"

Nine gave a bit of a chuckle, saying, "I suppose there isn't one. Guess I toxicroaked on the follow up."  After a brief moment he said, "but actually. I have learned that Northshore wasn't always the paradise it used to be. Apparently it was a toxic swamp, and someone, for some reason decided to change it into a resort." After a bit of thinking he said, "I can only imagine they wanted to hide something here or they themselves wanted to take a different defensive approach then Fryst did for their own safety. In either case, a person like that would need a lot of help to keep safe, so they'd need to hire a lot of people to keep the peace."

"I'll have to remember that one..." Gwen said in response to the pun. "It would have had to be someone very old for it not to be common knowledge. So you're saying it must be a Legend? If that's the case....there is one place. Where I overheard the mercenary captain talking about setting some guards for or something. Could that be..."

Nine raised a curious eyebrow as he said, "do tell more my dame detective."

Gwen gave a laugh. "You're such a joker even during times like this. He mentioned something about a mansion. There's a few of those around town though so I can't be sure which one it could be."

Nine continued to keep his smile on his face saying, "good or bad, adventure is adventure, and I am quite fond of it." As she continued to talk about the mansion, he put a finger to his chin saying, "well, I imagine whoever is the employer for these mercenaries is probably the one in the same of the legend we're looking for. And if they're as old as they are, that means they probably live in either one of the oldest mansions here, or are probably one of the most unknown of the mansion owners in town. So, how bout we do a bit of investigation and see what the townsfolk have to say about that?"

She nodded. "It seems we have just about cracked this case, detective."

After having attacked, the girl saw the legend stumble and take the brunt of all the attacks launched at her. All the same, with the brief surge of energy from the oran berry and being pumped with adrenaline, the girl was able to see that the legend was still preparing for yet another round of attacks. Wrestling herself free from Keanu, she merely shouted, "watch out!" And shoved both him away and herself away from when she finally did manage to get away. With the attacks not being directed at her, the girl focused on merely stopping the bully legend with one more strike. With the aura from her Torrent and her necklace beginning to glow, the girl fired off a powerful water gun at the legend, hoping to aid whatever electrical follow up Keanu had.

Team Showdown - Sky Palace

"So this is what the people of this land are like?"

"Unfortunately..." Groudon rumbled.  "My apologies, Solgaleo, you don't deserve such disrespect."

"I don't mind at all! Its good to see someone with such drive and spunk!"  The so called Sogaleo then promptly smacked her on the back with enough force fer her to almost choke on the food she had just put into her gaping mouth.  As she scrambled to try and force the food down with her bare hand, she made a last ditch effort to swallow all of the food in one enormous gulp.  She gave off a sigh of relief and wondered how bad it would hurt if she had used Destiny Bond, and died.  It was a coincidence that she had thought about that, and Groudon in turn, bringing up the events of their fight.

"Yes, I was surprised by your friend's strength. Though I will admit it was your rather unusual tactic that really made me realize that you were more determined than I had first assumed. Sacrifice is not an easy thing to do so casually...That being said, don't call me that."

"Scarlet's the muscle, and I'm the brain! Though to be frank, I'm not sure what the other two are.  Fufufufufu!"  She then grumbled at the fact that her nickname wasn't catching on.  "Yeah yeah, I'll figure out a new one for you.  It's the least I can do for a Legend I 'spose.  How'sabout...Crater face?  Fufufufu."  She said, before taking some more food and shoving it into her face.

Ari smiled tearfully at Richard. "Thank you. I'll make you proud...Dad."

The Litleo woke up underneath the largest mushroom he had ever seen. Fog was all over the ground, but he didn't feel sleepy anymore. Then again, he had just woken up. He stretched, mind still adrift in the dream he had just had. Now awake, he had the sense that that hadn't really been his father, but it didn't really matter, did it? Because, he was sure his father would've said the same thing. That he was proud of him. And that he missed him too.

Because Ari did miss him. Very much. And not just him. Tiana, James, Zago, Kah, and even Suiten. I wonder how they're doing, he thought. Kah said she would become strong...has she? Has she gotten to test her strength? And Suiten, no Keldeo...he said in the end, that we needed some distance, and that he had to fight. Has he started fighting yet? Does he miss us?

Except, there was this strange, tugging feeling in his gut when he thought about Kah. The same feeling he'd gotten about his father. No, she has to be all right. She has to.

His eyes welled up with tears, and he bowed his head to hide that fact. He didn't need Mac calling him a crybaby. Because he wasn't. He was a big strong lion, and he would make his father proud. No, he already was proud. He felt warmth wash over him at the thought.

When he looked up, he saw a pretty lady bathed in moonlight hovering above the ground before them. "Welcome back to the realm of reality. I am Cresselia and I am very happy to see you've made a choice you will be satisfied with."

"Huh?" he looked at the others before looking back at her. "Well, uhh, nice to meet you?" was she the one he had been talking to? But no, that was stupid. How could she be in his dream and then be standing in front of him? "Oh, I'm Ari."

The Sylveon didn't waste any time, dodging the first bolt with a somersault. It's true, he didn't look that nimble, and it seemed as if all the frills and ribbons would get in the way of fighting. In fact, he had started out incredibly slow. But I quickly learned, he thought, grinning, that if I wanted to avoid getting burned, I had to get faster.

Still, he wasn't quite fast enough to avoid the second bolt she shot his way. Gritting his teeth as the electricity danced across his form, he endured the hit as best he could. This was the first direct shot he'd taken from his opponent, and he could see why she was considered the strongest in the S.S. Showdown. Just one hit like that would be enough to take down most gijinka.

Thank Jirachi he wasn't most gijinka.

Standing up, the fairy type smiled darkly at the girl. "Well that was a shocker," he chuckled. "Guess I should stick to what I know, rather than compete with you there," and with that, he released another Swift attack.

Apanie didn't try to avoid these either. She stood strong as usual, but he had to be doing some damage. Maybe he had to switch to something a bit...heavier. The Rotom shot off a Hydro Pump, which managed to hit him this time, but instead of going flying off of the platform like Edna had, he managed to dig his feet into the surface, sliding backward along it till he reached the very edge.

He glanced back at the others of his group. "Don't worry," he grinned. "One Hydro Pump can't put me out just yet."

"You should worry more about the opponent in front of you," Apanie warned, and he turned back just in time to see a ball of toxic sludge headed his way. It was too close to dodge, but he couldn't afford to let that hit him. It's even sizzling on the edges, he thought, impressed despite himself.

But now wasn't the time to admire her ability. He could do that later, once he had won. Or lost. Though he would hope that the second wouldn't happen. "I don't normally have to use this," Easter said slowly, watching as the projectile approached. "You can be flattered to know you're one of the few non-legendaries I've used it against." He remembered a Hydreigon diving for him, her eyes wild. She had been another. As he spoke, a sparkling pink shield formed in front of him, blocking the attack. "And now for my next move," he smiled. "This one has become somewhat of a signature of mine, I'm afraid."

It was the perfect time to strike. For once Apanie looked a little troubled, as if an unexpected variable had appeared. Well, that's exactly what happened, the fairy type thought, charging up a large pink ball. Briefly, it seemed as if the moon shone down on him, the light getting absorbed into the sphere in his hands, causing it to grow even larger. He inhaled, and then exhaled, releasing the orb at the same time.

The attack struck, and even the Rotom couldn't shake that off quite as easily as she had his other moves. His grin widened, showing teeth. "So we have each taken the best the other has to offer. What do you think?"

"Strong. It seems I have to take you seriously."

Easter shook his head in mock disappointment. "So you weren't this whole time? What a shame. And here I thought we were getting along so well."

"Another blast?" This was ridiculous. Just how strong was this woman?

Wrestling herself free from Keanu, Marie shouted, "watch out!" With a powerful shove for such a little girl, she managed to get them both out of the way. Her necklace began to glow as she fired off a powerful water gun at the legend.

"Take this!" Keanu shouted as he shot off his own Electro Ball, aiming not for the legend, but for the water bullet that the Popplio had just released. The attacks mixed until they looked like a supercharged water missile...a missile that was currently sparking with electricity. I hope this is enough, he thought.

Isole seemed rather uncomfortable by Lunala's words. She clutched the pad of paper in her hands and looked back out at the clouds as they passed by. "What if I don't know what I am..." She muttered.

Lunala said nothing for a while, enough time passing that it seemed she hadn't heard the other's words. When she finally spoke the words were soft. "We all start out not knowing," she paused, gazing down at the clouds. "But that is the beauty of living. We learn, and grow, and live," she gave a wistful smile. "It is late," she said finally. "You should get some sleep. You have a long day tomorrow, after all." The legendary left with hardly a whisper of sound to denote her departure, her veil shrouding her form and blending in with the starry sky above.

Celebi didn't seem to know what vision Scarlet just had. She seemed to think about it for a while, before shaking her head. More importantly, the legend had asked if Scarlet planned on being a disciple.

"A disciple?" Scarlet said, a bit confused. She had heard vaguely about disciples, although usually from rather unhinged individuals. She was about to say no, before thinking of Cobalion. She wanted to learn under his wing... did that mean she'd have to be a disciple?

"I've had interest in learning from Cobalion and the other Swords of Justice..." Scarlet said, placing her pincer on her chin. "So... I think so? I'm not entirely sure what being a disciple entails, but if it means learning from the best, then yes."

Northshore Team Karaoke

Lok felt a surge of emotions as Fiona revealed herself to him. He had a feeling Fiona was hiding something, but this... this wasn't what he had in mind. Did that mean all those times she had been intimate with him were fake? It all made sense; he wasn't much to begin with, why would someone ever feel anything but pity for him. It was odd that she would fall for him over Nine, unless it was part of some trick.

"So you're still with... with those maniacs... despite everything." Lok muttered, his face having shifted to a rather nasty scowl. "I should have known... I can't believe I didn't see it..." He grit his teeth, tears forming in his eyes. "So everything was a lie, then? All those moments we had... you were just using us... using me... just to commit a murder to please these psychopaths..." He tried to shove the Drapion off of him, although he didn't manage to push her all that far. "I was right since the start... we should have never trusted you!" He clenched his fist, sparks starting to form from it. "I should have never trusted you!"

Kazo wasn't sure how 'Denku' would react to his little speech. Honestly, he just wasn't sure how this conversation was happening in the first place. But... Denku seemed... pleased. "It seems your resolve is strong. And your choice is made. Good luck, and don't ever forget that when given the chance to take the easy life you decided to keep fighting."

And with that, he woke up. It was such a shock, just one second he was sleeping, and the next he was under a huge mushroom, with Ari and Mac next to him, slowly waking up. What was real life, or was it just fantasy? He wasn't sure at the moment. He looked around, until he noticed a beautiful woman floating, bathed in moonlight.

"Welcome back to the realm of reality. I am Cresselia and I am very happy to see you've made a choice you will be satisfied with."

That didn't help at all.

"Huh?" Ari seemed to share in his confusion. "Well, uhh, nice to meet you? Oh, I'm Ari."

"I'm Kazo, it's nice to meet you...," Kazo was so confused. He leaned over to Mac. "So, any idea who this is?" If it was a legend, she'd probably know.

"I suppose it's hard to tell at times. He certainly doesn't make it any easier. The first bath night was....sure something let me tell you. But, well, shouldn't you be asking Easter that yourself?"

"I mean, yeah, but we usually don't really talk. We've been thrown in one fight after the other, and... Easter sleeps with Brooke," He shrugged. "And it's... a really weird question to ask, for some reason,"

"Tight crew...perhaps. It's still new...compared to the old one. But that's something to keep in mind." He looked at Denku. "Sometimes your crew changes but, if the connection remains, they'll always come back." He gestured at Easter. "I never expected to see them on this ship again but here we are,"

"I certainly hope that is the case," Denku muttered. "It's been over ten years since I saw those I've cared about... I hope the connection is still there,"

Team Karaoke, Day 28, Northshore

Gwen and Nine's investigation seemed to point towards only one possible location. It seemed that every person they asked had one single answer for the question of unknown or mysterious mansions. Evidently there was a mansion on a hill on the outskirts of the city that no one had ever seen anybody enter nor leave. It had become something of an urban legend among the people of the city. So much so that the mercenary group ended up posting guards to keep kids from sneaking in and getting hurt.

"That went much smoother than I expected." Gwen admitted. "I suppose this means we should head on over there yes? Do you think we should check what Fiona and Lok are up to first? They might want to come with after all." She hesitated. "Oh but if it might be dangerous for children perhaps we shouldn't." The girl pondered on this. "What do you think?"

---

"Tch." Fiona said, glaring at Lok."I guess you shouldn't have. What did you expect me to do? You murdered the only person I had left and put me in danger of the strongest group of killers in the world. Do you think I'm just going to play along with your little friendship party after that? I did what I had to do." She laughed coldly. "And don't bother with the tough guy act. You can't beat me. So why don't you just run away to your mommy and daddy, Gwen and Nine." Her words were seeped with bitterness as she glowered at the young man, hands curled into fists and shaking. Though she hadn't actually acted yet. Thus far she had only threatened the boy despite the gap in their levels.

Team Alola, Day 15, Mowloo

Yveltal grunted as her attacks missed the Pikachu. He was fast. She would have to get even closer if she were to finish him off.

These Gijinka clung to their lives so tightly. It was baffling.

She glanced over at the blast of water that Marie was sending her way. It seemed stronger than one would expect but it still didn't seem much. Her hands both glowed with a dark aura as she prepared to knock aside the attack.

But then the electrical attack struck it. Not only did the two attacks mix together, creating a bullet of water crackling with electricity, it gave the attack a sudden speed boost. Yveltal tried to compensate by swinging at the attack quicker than planned but she still didn't manage to catch it in time.

The attack struck her in the chest and she shouted as the electricity leapt through her body, and shot through her aura.

The woman hesitated, standing still, with her head thrown back from the shout.

Then she stumbled.

She didn't fall. She managed to remain on her feet as she lowered her head to look at the two. But she didn't advance. She took a deep breath and let it out slowly. As she did she sank down to her knees. Then, from there, she sat cross-legged on the ground with her head hung, breathing slowing so much that it was hard to tell she was taking a breath at all.

"That's enough." She said, her voice cold but not as threatening as before. "You have fought for your lives harder than most. I will no longer fight you, Chasers."

She glanced over in the direction of the battle they had come from. "They still fight. Bring them the boy's body. That will stop them...The world has changed much in my sleep. You are not like the Chasers I knew but you are....something. Something worth preserving. For now."

Team Showdown, Day 30, Sky Palace

"Brain, is that what you call it?" Groudon remarked dryly as Taiga continues to eat. "I don't understand why you insist on giving me a name that is not my own."

"Don't be such a stick in the mud, Groudy." Solgaleo said with a laugh. "The girl is just trying to be friendly. Don't you remember back in the day? Gijinka then were much closer to you all than these ones. You should be happy that this girl is so comfortable with us."

"I'm not sure it's the same..." Groudon responded slowly.

Before he said anything else through the door came Isole. She seemed to have drifted in without paying much attention and was halfway to the table before looking up and realizing who all was in the room with her. "This...looks like a hassle." She said upon taking in the scene. After saying this she turned around and began to float out. Though she could be stopped before she did.

---

"Oh my, Cobalion you say. Be careful with that one, he's been hurt by a woman before I don't think he'd risk that again....Oh I suppose I shouldn't talk about my fellow's dirty laundry, that was wrong of me." Despite having said this, Celebi didn't seem to be all too worried about divulging such things. Not if her smile was any indicator. "But you know, a Disciple isn't just a strong person. They have to be willing to put their everything on the line for the Legends. To keep the world running right. It's not a matter to take lightly. Very large responsibility. Why do you think we test people so harshly?" She looked at Scarlet and thought for a while. "There's a lot of bad in this world these days. I wonder how you plan to clean it up."

She waved her hand. "I suppose that's something for the future. Right now I'm sure you'll want to eat. People do that. I forget it all the time. Seems like such a waste of time to me."

---

Meanwhile, wherever Tianzi is, Magearna would find them. "Er, excuse me? I noticed you seemed rather...out of sorts the other day. And I was just wondering...perhaps is there something you need?"

Team Mac, Day 31, Mushroom Forest

"You don't know about Cresselia?" Mac whispered to Kazo. "She's the Lunar Guardian. Her and Darkrai control dreams and nightmares. Which means...."

Cresselia smiled at the trio. "You have no need to be nervous. Yes, it was I who crafted that dream world for you. As I do for all I deem may need it." Her smile turned forlorn for a moment. "You have indeed struggled far more than what should be expected of you. This place is...a sanctuary of sorts. A place to rest. A place where those who have suffered can escape from the world for a while. I apologize if it felt sudden. I must admit I am rusty with talking with people."

"Did you....want us to stay here?" Mac asked, a bit concerned now that she was more awake. When she really thought about it the power Cresselia had shown was incredible. Had she wished it they could have been stuck in that world forever.

Cresselia gave a laugh. A laugh that sounded like moonbeams and starlight, if that had a sound, and shook her head. "Goodness no. I can't keep people who don't want to be kept. All I wished was to give you an offer." She grew a bit more serious then. "You have encountered these Godslayers multiple times now. And you have come through each fight. I must ask....do you intend to face them again?"

Team Neo Not Dark, Day 30, S.S. Showdown

"It's been over ten years since I saw those I've cared about... I hope the connection is still there,"

"Aye, that's a long time. But..." Captain smirked at Denku. "All we can really do is hope, right? We live in a crazy world my friend. People are separated all the time. Either by choice or by force. Some more permanent than others. S'pose all we can do is keep on going and see where the winds take us."

"That seems obvious. We live on a ship." Trava said suddenly, from behind Captain. Causing the Pidgeot to jump a bit.

"Sweet Kyogre, Trava, where did you come from?"

Trava tilted her head and pointed to where Solana was jumping in the air and shouting encouragement to both Easter and Apanie. "Over there." Trava responded simply.

"I meant...nevermind. But you're right." He turned back to Denku. "I live on a ship. I've already given my fate up to the winds. And it seems you have to, for now, taking on this quest while you have your own goals. You must care for these people."

He then called over to Brooke again. "And you. Is it true, you've been sleeping with our Easter? What intentions do you have with my, well, former crewman exactly?" He said this with a smile but there was a surprisingly fierce, protective, look in his eyes as he spoke.

From beside him, Trava let out an "Ooooh.....Apanie gonna do the thing..."

--

"So you weren't this whole time? What a shame. And here I thought we were getting along so well."

"It's time for you to lose." Apanie said bluntly. She raised her hand and fired off a Thunderbolt...into the sky.

It hovered in midair for a moment before suddenly crashing back down...on Apanie.

Her body crackled with electricity and she grit her teeth in pain as the attack landed. The air around them both started to tingle, as though by static electricity, and Easter would feel his hair standing on end.

The electrical energy around Apanie would grow, creating a crackling maelstrom of lighting around the girl. Then she held both of her hands up, her stance wide, an intense expression on her face.

"Gigavolt...Havoc." She said and a blast of electricity surged forward. It was shaped like a massive arrow, several feet above the ground, and it raced towards the Sylveon. The crackling was so loud that Easter couldn't hear anything else. The ground where the attack was fired from cracked and shattered as the attack passed overhead. Even before it got near Easter could feel an intense heat and energy. He would be able to tell beyond a shadow of a doubt that this was Apanie's finishing move. And it was heading right for him.

Brooke was enraptured by the battle. It was a clash of completely different ideologies; Apanie was nothing but offense, launching strings of powerful attacks without relent, while Easter danced away and taunted as he chipped away at her with safer moves. “She can’t keep this up,” she said, half to herself as she reached up to grab her hat, preventing it from flying off her head as another shockwave rocked the boat. “She’ll be done before Easter’s even winded at this rate.”

The Emboar was pulled from her musings by the Captain. “My intentions with Easter? What are you talking about?” she said. Easter was hit by a wicked-looking Hydro Pump as she did, the pressurized blast of water threatening to lift him off his feet, but he held his ground admirably. Brooke scooped Dora up off the floor, cradling her to her chest protectively. “We’re friends. That’s it.”

Anything she said after that was completely drown out by a clap of thunder, dark clouds amassing over the ship and parting to unleash a gargantuan bolt of lightning that struck Apanie dead on. Brooke hugged Dora tighter to her and had to fight to stay on her feet. “What the hell is she doing? It’s not that serious!” Brooke was glowering, glaring at the Captain and then back at Apanie, who was glowing with energy she struggled to control.

Without warning, another peal of thunder deafened everyone in the area. Apanie had successfully gathered the energy and unleashed it in a powerful attack, a massive electric arrow that rocketed towards Easter. He was bound to be hit by it.

Brooke felt that familiar searing in her stomach. White hot anger burned at her mind, all of it screaming for her to eliminate whatever it was that dared to threaten her family. Flames licked at her heels, spreading all across her body slowly, the vibrant blue-white shade that only manifested with Susanoo. Dora would notice that the flames never seemed to hurt her when they touched her, instead causing a pleasant tingling sensation.

“If he’s not alright…” The voice that spoke was different. Brooke was in there, but it rumbled with hundreds of years of her ancestors as well. The threat hung in the air, the thought unfinished but the promise transparent.
