Pokemon Gijinka: The Fallen God [IC/PG-16/Not Accepting]

Recommended Posts

Team Alola, Day 15, Mowloo

"With Eve in charge of the natives now, are the two of you gonna see about patching up relations between the town and the natives?"

The Tyranitar looked at Nani for a good, long, while. It was as though he was trying to work out the problem right then and there. To get the best possible answer. Finally, when it seemed he had reached a conclusion, the Tyranitar said... "Who in the blazes are you?"

He looked over at Randy as if trying to read an answer off of their face, gesturing at the stranger that had appeared with them rather suddenly.

"...I think things might actually go smoother...he isn't around to talk them into doing that. ...she actually seems to be wanting to patch things up."

Instead Randy answered the question instead as if this somewhat creepy Gijinka hadn't just dropped from the damn sky. The Tyranitar groaned and shook his head. "I'm old but I'm not that old..." He then gave something of a response to Nani, anyway. "Well it'll damn well be easier that's for sure. Blake was the problem. Whatever that boy had up in his head was bringing out the worst of them. Maybe this place will be safe enough for my kids soon...I hope they're okay in Trailsau on their own." He grunted and then spoke to the group. "I need to ask you something, later. For now I'll go see about talking with....Eve."

Team Mac, Day 31, Mushroom Forest

"What is that?"

"...It's called a Sun Stone." Mac explained, seeming to relax a bit more now that she was able to show off her knowledge. "It's really rare and it lets certain Gijinka evolve. Certain Gijinka like me. With this...I'll reach my final stage of Evolution. And then I'll be able to kick but three times as hard!" She grinned and then shot a slightly sour look at Ari. "And I'm not old. Just older than you, kid." Then she stuck her tongue out again.

Though she grew a bit more somber when Ari and Kazo asked Cresselia their questions. The woman seemed tired but she, after a moment of gazing a the sky, gave them their answers.

"As you know, Latios and Regirock have fallen. Besides them the other Golems, Regice, who was trapped by the Lord of Fryst and used as a weapon until a Godslayer defeated him, and Registeel, who tried to battle the Godslayers and protect Ho-Oh, were also killed. Meloetta, the first to be attacked, is in dire straits...but thankfully I know a group is setting out to save her. But...Just because they are dead does not mean they are necessarily gone. Not...forever." She hesitated. "As to what we are doing...many of us are...Without Arceus we're scattered, alone, and hesitant to do battle. I cannot speak for them all but many are...as tired as Arceus. But there are some who are starting to fight back. And gathering...before it's too late."

She gave Kazo a kind smile and nodded, understanding his concern. "They are strong, yes, and you're not expected to defeat them on your own. But...long ago, Gijinka and Legends worked together to face many powerful foes. These may be different from those but it is not impossible. In fact, another Godslayer has been beaten already. By a group of regular Gijinka like yourselves in Adarid City. It's not impossible...though I do ask that you not risk yourselves needlessly."

She gestured around, "You are already rested, after the dream, but you may stay here as long as you like before setting out. This place is safe I assure you."

Team Neo Not Dark, Day 30, S.S. Showdown

"I can definitely take you on. I'm not like that lazy Apanie, after all." Edna said. And then she was tackled to the ground by Solana, who was, quite literally, dragging Trava with.

"Eddiiiiie" Solana said. "You just were so impressed you wanna have a go at it too weren't you."

"No. I. Was. Not. And don't call me that!" Edna said, all possible dignity out the window as she protested and pushed against the two Rotom now piling on her.

Dora clapped her hands as Easter made pretty sparkles appear. Or she would if she could. Instead she sort of did a shoulder shimmy in her excitement and cheered.

“That’s why I fight. That little girl right there. … I don’t enjoy it, but… someone has to make sure the kids can be kids, y’know?”

Captain nodded at that, and looked directly at Easter when responding. "That's right. That's exactly right. Someone has to. And to do that...you gotta be stronger than the rest."

He let out a deep sigh and his shoulders slumped. "I should have expected a group like you wouldn't just be in this for the adventure. Sure as hell would've been easier on me if you were." He cast a sidelong glance at Denku and Brooke. "You realize what's going to go down don't you? Why the Legends are trying so hard to gather as many of their number as they can. They have only done this a few times before and that was when the world was about to end. The Godslayers have to be stopped and soon. With Arceus missing...it's not looking good. That's why some of us have to pick up the slack." He took a deep breath and flashed a smile again. Then hooked a thumb at himself. "And hey what better hero than a pirate with dashing good looks right? Might as well do my part to give this story a happy ending."

Team Showdown, Day 30, Southshore Forest

Zygarde winced as Taiga's teeth clamped down on her shoulder. She felt the icy chill through her bones and her eyes glowed with hatred. "Flames can come from many places, dastard." She said through gritted teeth as she reached with her other arm to grab hold of Taiga's face and threw her to the side, ripping the projected jaws off her shoulder, causing a splatter of blood.

She raised her arm and the ground shook. Large arrows of earth erupted from it and shot out towards each of the group. And even as this happened she slammed her foot on the ground and a wave of energy traveled through the ground towards Scarlet.

Isole was struck by one of said arrows and slammed into a tree by its force. She gasped out in pain as she crumpled to the floor. Shakily she got up, and ice began to form around her. She stood and began to summon a Blizzard to strike Zygarde with but hesitated. The look of rage, the feeling of power, and how easily she had just caused her such damage, all combined to make Isole hesitate.

Instead, in a flurry of snow, the girl vanished from view. Though if one were to look they'd realize that there was still a globe of swirling snow, about a foot in diameter, hovering above the ground where Isole once was.

Team Karaoke, Day 28, Northshore

"Maybe you'll snap out of it, but until you do... this is goodbye."

"It'll be goodbye forever then." Fiona snapped. "If you think you can keep this up you're just going to end up dead."

As Lok left she fell down on her knees and started pummeling the ground. Over and over. Until her hands started to bleed.

Behind her came Nikora's quiet, blunt, voice. "You really thought that would go differently...didn't you."

Fiona didn't respond. She couldn't. She had just bitten down on her tongue to keep from talking. She wouldn't let herself speak up. She only had one option left now. Become stronger. Kill them all. Survive.

---

Gwen seemed to be feeling better as they reached the tent where Lok was stepping out of. She went to greet him but paused, seeing the look on his face. But it didn't seem to stop Nine from explaining everything. When he mentioned Fiona Gwen's eyes widened and she looked past Lok. She couldn't see into the tent but she was sure she was in there. And something had happened between her and Lok.

She stepped forward and hugged the boy. She didn't know what it was he needed right now but she knew what she felt she could give him. "Do you want to leave?" She asked.

"I'm old but I'm not that old...Well it'll damn well be easier that's for sure. Blake was the problem. Whatever that boy had up in his head was bringing out the worst of them. Maybe this place will be safe enough for my kids soon...I hope they're okay in Trailsau on their own. I need to ask you something, later. For now I'll go see about talking with....Eve."

Randy nodded, watching the Tyranitar militia leader head out of the room. He took a deep breath, seeing now that everyone was here. With an exhale, he began. "Guess...since everyone's here...and since I said we needed to talk, might as well start." he began.

"I...I wanna explain first why I've been doing things the way I have." Randy sighed, chuckling lightly. "To be honest, I was planning to do that after they let me out of the prison here before everything went south. Ya see...other than us Incineroars have a strong pride issue and ya know, we're cocky and arrogant...but...there's more to it." he stood up and spun the chair around and sat down in it once more, crossing his arms with a sigh. "Ya see...my whole trying to get stronger thing stems from watching my childhood idol and hero, Sol Mask, a Shiny Incineroar wrestler, fighting a dirty match..."

He paused for a moment, leaning his head back slightly. "Due to PPGWF's rules...the use of a Z-Move in a match...should be used like a signature move or something. Like...my Malicious Moonsault. But...the match Sol Mask fought, his opponent used Z-Move Haze, which basically healed him of his conditions. With that, he won and Sol Mask lost, was forced to retire, and ended up falling off the face of Alola." Randy growled slightly, gripping his arm tightly now. "...the match was dirty and it was like...no one gave a damn. That's why I've been trying to get stronger...I...I've made a declaration in the PPGWF that I'd topple their new 'king', all at the value of me being labeled a damn Heel."

Randy then began to sit up, exhaling again before shaking his head. "And...I wasn't expecting to get any of you involved in this. ...and even though you ARE evolved now, Marie...watching someone like you and your age, ya know, a kid...please don't hate me for saying it that way..." he said, holding his hands up defensively. "...but...the kids are the group that we Incineroars get the most out of. They cheer for us...and we start going further in our stride. We want to make it to where they happen to be proud of us, ya know? Plus...defending the younger ones...heh...guess that means I'm a Face trying to be a Heel..."

Nevertheless, the Incineroar leaned forward in the chair and exhaled once more. "Keanu...Marie...new person..." he lowered his head slightly. "...I'm sorry for bringing you all into trouble."

Southshore Forest Team Showdown

Scarlet managed to side step the arrows that were flying towards her, although this gave her no time to deal with the wave of earth that was now hurling towards her. She let out a yell as she tumbled from the attack, sliding on the ground. It was a rough hit, but she wasn't about to go down in one hit as she picked herself off of the ground. "I see..." She muttered under her breath, cracking her neck. "It'll take more than that to knock me out!" She shouted, as she dashed towards at high speeds, aiming one of her fists at the legend. It felt strange, however, to fire off a Bullet Punch; whatever Zygarde had done, it seemingly removed all the technique in her attack. She could only hope this wasn't permanent.

Northshore Team Karaoke

As Lok came out, he was greeted by Nine, who seemed happy enough. Not Lok, though; his eyes seemed to almost glaze over anything in front of him. What Nine was saying was barely registering to the ghost boy as his mind repeated the brief conversation he had with Fiona. He nearly choked up as he heard Nine say her name. "F... Fio..." He found it hard to speak, the realization of what their conversation meant dawning on him. He should be happy, right? He managed to find out Fiona was working with the enemy before she was able to hurt anyone, and she would no longer be a problem. She was gone, for good maybe, and for the better. So why did he feel like he lost something? Like all of this was a mistake...

As he found himself trying to answer Nine's question, he didn't notice Gwen until the girl threw her arms around him. He froze up, tears starting to roll down his face again. "Do you want to leave?" Lok wasn't able to vocalize an answer, so he simple nodded his head, trying to hold back tears.

Location: Mowloo (Team Alola, Day 15)

Poké: 500

Inventory: Good Rod, Antidote x2, Kasib Berry

"Who in the blazes are you?"

Right. I've seen him, but he hasn't seen me. By the sound of things, relations would at least be a bit smoother now that Blake wasn't the one in charge anymore. The Tyranitar also had to ask the group something, but that would come later, after he talked to Eve. Now that the entire group of Alolans were gathered here, though, it seemed this was the time for that talk everyone agreed they had to have. Randy took the initiative on it, with a story about some wrestling stuff. Nani never fully got the PPGWF stuff, but it sounded like there was some sort of cheating or something?

The story itself, and the point Randy was getting at other than "get strong", was going over the Mimikyu's head.

"Keanu...Marie...new person... I'm sorry for bringing you all into trouble."

"I have to apologize for something too," Nani responded, raising her arm up. "I'm not new to your group at all. I've been following all three of you ever since we all left Alola. I didn't get a chance to introduce myself on the boat, and thought it would be weird if I only said something after touching land, and it just sort of... got to the point where I was basically stalking you all. Sorry for being creepy like that. But now is as good a time as any, so."

Getting up from her seat and standing firmly on the floor, the Mimkyu waved her hands in that distinct Alolan gesture, and said "Hi. My name is Nani, and I'm a Mimkyu. Sorry again for only just recently showing my face."

"...It's called a Sun Stone." Mac explained, seeming to relax a bit more now that she was able to show off as usual. "It's really rare and it lets certain Gijinka evolve. Certain Gijinka like me. With this...I'll reach my final stage of Evolution. And then I'll be able to kick but three times as hard!" She grinned and then shot a slightly sour look at Ari. "And I'm not old. Just older than you, kid." She grew quiet as the legendary began to talk again. She told them it wasn't hopeless, as others had defeated legends, and what the legends themselves were doing... which wasn't much of anything. She then gestured around,

"You are already rested, after the dream, but you may stay here as long as you like before setting out. This place is safe I assure you." Kazo sighed, standing up and looking down at the two kids.

"So, what do you two want to do?" He asked. "If we go after Godslayers, we're not going to be able to turn back. I'll support you in whatever decision you two make, but if we're going to be risking our lives, we're going to have to be in agreement," He looked over to Ari. "I'm sure I know Mac's answer, but we can't be dragged along by her whim here. It's an important choice. Will you come and fight, or will you stay here? Or you can even go home. But it has to be your choice, and yours alone,"

The look Brooke shot him told Denku he was being a bit of a dick. Eh, oh well, Easter could take it. Brooke talked about how it took only one mistake, the usual thing a lover/mother would spout. At the very least, Denku had some confidence that the crew wouldn't kill someone Legends asked them to ferry.

"It’s beautiful,” She paused to look at Easter's display. “That’s why I fight. That little girl right there. … I don’t enjoy it, but… someone has to make sure the kids can be kids, y’know?” Denku chuckled and leaned back, looking into the sky.

"That's such a pure motive. Wish I could say I was fighting for such selfless reasons, instead of being a selfish dying shell," Denku shook his head. "The world needs more people like you,"

"I should have expected a group like you wouldn't just be in this for the adventure. Sure as hell would've been easier on me if you were." The captain cast a sidelong glance at Denku and Brooke.

"It shouldn't have came to this in the first place," Denku commented. "We shouldn't have to pick up the slack. If that's on us for not having a grasp on it in the first place or on the Legends for not taking this seriously, well, none of us can accurately say. For now, we'll just have to clean up the mess and hope we learn from this mistake,"

Team Showdown - South Shore Forest

Taiga was easily thrown to the side by the legend, and tumbled in a way that she would make a safe landing.  This Legend wasn't gonna get anywhere with just throwing them all around like bags of flour.  That's when Taiga noticed that the arrows were diving straight towards the team.  She made an attempt to dodge some of the arrows, but a couple had scraped her body and exploded on contact.  It was gonna be a rough fight, that was for sure.  Taiga looked around, and saw that Scarlet was the one on the offensive.  Seeing how much her own Ice Fang had made the Gijinka so angry, she could assume that it had really hurt her.

"So if Ice is her weakness, we got a powerhouse to hit 'em with!  Right, Isole?"  Taiga looked to the back of the group to see a globe of snow winding around in a stationary position.  "She musta' got hit hard if she's pulling back...poor thing."  Taiga cupped her hands around her mouth to yell at Scarlet.  "You distract her, Isole's got an issue!"  Taiga sighed, as she started to dash towards the globe, but was met with resistance upon entering.  It was freezing, and she couldn't see a thing, but if she tried to travel towards the center, she'd find Isole in here somewhere.

"Isole!  Anyone h-h-h-home?  We can't do this one without you!"

"...It's called a Sun Stone." Mac explained, seeming to relax a bit more.

"Well then you're also a kid," Ari replied, sticking his tongue out back.

Cresselia then listed off all of the legendaries who had fallen. The list...was bigger than Ari had expected. The lion drooped and drooped some more as he heard about a few wanting to fight back. I wonder if Suiten--no, Keldeo, is doing that. He could finally admit it. He missed the man...boy, whatever he was. And he missed Kah too. Except she was probably...

No. He couldn't allow himself to think like that.

"Let me add to the discussion. What are the Legends doing about it?" Kazo asked. "Or are they expecting us to deal with it?" He muttered as he rubbed his head, his arm being a blur as he got more worked up. "Why would they expect us to deal with it though? I haven't seen anyone beat a Godslayer, hell, we just annoy them until they go away or stronger people come. Whadda hell are we gonna do about that?"

Ari stared at Kazo, wide-eyed. It was really weird to hear him say that. Kazo had always been so strong and brave, and to hear he had fears, had setbacks just like Ari did. Well, it wasn't that surprising when he thought about it, but maybe it wasn't so bad to be scared if he wasn't the only one being scared. He side-eyed Mac. And then there are some who are just never scared. Something's wrong with her brain, I think.

Cresselia then talked about them teaming up with the legendaries against the Godslayers, which, the cub wasn't too certain he wanted to do. What difference could one little gijinka like him make? He knew he wasn't nearly as powerful as people like Kazo or Kah, or even Mac. But that was what this journey was for. To make him stronger. Still, he didn't think he'd get to be strong enough in time for the big face-off.

"So, what do you two want to do?" Kazo asked. But it has to be your choice, and yours alone."

The Litleo clenched his fists. "I...don't want to go back home," he murmured. "I'm not good enough for that yet. But...I'm not good enough yet to go against Godslayers either." He shivered. "I just want us all to have fun together, and get stronger together. That's all." He drew his knees up to his chest, and imagined his father standing in front of him, and what his expression would be. "I don't want to run away, but I don't think we're ready quite yet. But..." he sighed. "Regirock was powerful and wise. He told me about Chasers, and how they used to be. And now he's dead. And back home, we worship the Life Bringer. What if they die too? And Entei...I still have to defeat Entei..." He shook his head. "I don't want to fight, but I don't want the legends to die either. Kazo..." he stared up at the Gabite, eyes intense. "What do you think? What would a leader do?" And maybe he already knew what they would do, but he had to be sure. Because if so, they would all be taking a very big step forward, and risking their lives even more so in the process.

"I didn't figure it out, since I wasn't actively trying to. It doesn't really matter what's between your legs, after all. He told me," Denku explained, jabbing a thumb at the captain. Huh, that was oddly...nice. Was Denku finally warming up? "I mean, you were. I was more jealous of the giant super move. It's not like we've seen Easter take on bigger and badder." Never mind. Spoke too soon.

"Yeah, it was a pretty cool--"

“All it takes is one mistake,” Brooke grumbled. “Especially against a ‘giant super move’ like that. That was a Z-move; I think they’re from Alola. We don’t use them around here, but you can’t block them. Not even with Protect.”

"Z-move, huh. I think I might have heard of them too," Easter mused. "Sounds pretty cool. Wonder what I have to do to get one of those...I mean, uhh," he grinned at Brooke innocently. "Nothing."

As Easter replied to Dora, Denku commented from the side. "Competitive lot, aren't you? You all really do remind me of my old posse."

"Old posse?" the fairy type asked before nodding at Edna. "I can't wait," he told her, laughing as he watched her get dog piled.

As he watched the fireworks explode in the sky, he heard Brooke mutter a quiet “It’s beautiful.” Turning back to look at her, he saw the Emboar's eyes fixed on the Wooper she had been caring for. “That’s why I fight. That little girl right there. … I don’t enjoy it, but… someone has to make sure the kids can be kids, y’know?”

"That's right. That's exactly right. Someone has to. And to do that...you gotta be stronger than the rest." Captain stared right at him as he talked, which made the Sylveon wince. He had thought he was strong, but he had failed when it mattered most. I guess you can never be too strong. There's always bigger and better.

"That's such a pure motive. Wish I could say I was fighting for such selfless reasons, instead of being a selfish dying shell," Denku shook his head. "The world needs more people like you."

"Yeah..." Easter agreed simply, though something about the Pupitar's words struck him as odd. "Dying shell?"

Captain let out a deep sigh and his shoulders slumped.

"Who can say?" Easter shrugged. "I'm not the biggest fan of legends myself. They've grown arrogant and complacent in their power. Still..." he remembered a Kirlia with a gentle smile, and a tired but noble white dragon. "They might not all be bad. And maybe," he smirked, "maybe they'll say we did even better than the legendaries if we win this. Just imagine, better than gods. What would we be then, titans?"

Keanu had walked away to give the Noctowl the privacy she deserved, but he could still hear her voice floating over to where he was in the hallway. He squinted his eyes shut, gritting his teeth, letting the tears fall, glad of the mask covering his face. Straightening himself, he walked over to the room she sat in. Not sure what he'd say, but knowing he had to say something, to get the ache in his chest to go away.

"He was a good person," he said, voice cracking. He cleared his throat. "I didn't know him long, but he only wanted what he thought was best for his people." He took off the mask then. "I...wanted to help him with that. My friends thought me stupid but they didn't hear him, hear the concern he had for the natives. They just heard what his ambition warped him into." He sighed. "Not sure why I'm telling you this. Maybe it's to clear up my head, or it's to clear up yours. Whatever happens, so long as you think of your people first and foremost, I think he'd approve." Keanu shook his head. "Still don't like you though. Just cuz someone isn't talking doesn't mean they're an idiot," he muttered as he left.

He entered the room the others were in just in time to catch the others talking about Mowloo politics. Soon after, the militia leader left to talk with the owl he had just talked to, and the three...no, four of them, were alone.

Randy took a deep breath. "Guess...since everyone's here...and since I said we needed to talk, might as well start." he began. The Incineroar then explained how he wanted to get stronger, and why he did. To beat the person who beat his childhood hero.

I wonder how I'd feel if somebody did that to Puka, the Pikachu thought. No, it doesn't matter, does it. I left him behind, after all. I left...all of them...behind. Perhaps that was why, even now, he couldn't really understand Randy's goals. They were just too different. Randy was too much of a hero, and he? He was too much of a coward.

Nevertheless, the Incineroar leaned forward in the chair and exhaled once more. "Keanu...Marie...new person..." he lowered his head slightly. "...I'm sorry for bringing you all into trouble."

"I have to apologize for something too," the Mimikyu responded, raising her arm up.

"Heh," Keanu chuckled. "Don't be sorry, either of you. After all, we're all ohana now. And ohana means nobody gets left behind or forgotten." His face distorted for a second. Guess I'm not too good at that, huh? These two are better than me at that. Randy and Nani are both strong enough they could've just hightailed it and left Marie and I behind. But they didn't, even Nani, regardless of how creepy her methods were.

"Who's this broad again?"

Veronica rolled her eyes. "Why am I not surprised?"

Scarlet shook her head. "I hate to break it to you, but we were sent here to deal with..." She took another look at Zygarde. "...that." She took a deep breath, doing a short Swords Dance. "Let us begin."

"WHAT'D YOU JUST CALL ME?!  A PLEBEIAN?!"  Taiga shouted, as her fangs coated themselves with a thick layer of ice.  "I'll show you what I'm made of.  And you know what they say?  The bigger they are..."  the Sharpedo dashed in, gliding on water she created beneath her feet.  In front of her face were large jaws made of pure ice that shot from her mouth.  "Hu harher hey hall!"  She said, jumping to use the jaws to clamp down on the Legend's shoulder.

"Yes, because that is what you are!" the Crobat shouted back before going silent as she watched the water type's attack. "Fools," she whispered. "Who would have sent you to deal with this? No, it couldn't be...could it? I would have heard, surely," she muttered to herself. "Whoever they are, they surely care little for your lives. Leave now, before you get hurt." The woman gritted her teeth as the next wave of attacks came, barely dodging the arrows with the little strength she still had. The gijinka retreated further, out of the fight, but kept a concerned eye on the combatants.

As Gwen went to go and embrace Lok, and Nine was now clearly looking at him, it was clear the boy was in some kind of anguish. The cause obviously being Fiona as well, Nine's chipper mood went to becoming one of more on edge, looking to the tent that the boy had emerged from. While the two seemed ready to leave without the Drapion girl, Nine felt far more reluctant to do so for a small variety of reasons. Yet still, if the two got into a fight there was likely little he could do given how emotional she was and furthermore it wasn't as if he could just abandon or trample on the feelings of the two with him. "Alright. Follow along." Knowing that it would do no good, or in fact it would do only harm, to press further on the matter, Nine gestured for them to follow and go to Jirachi's mansion as he began to make his way there.

Sitting down, Marie listened on as Randy explained why he had been so ready and eager to brawl at when the chance presented itself. Marie didn't really say much in regards to being called a kid, given the dangers they had already fought against. All the same, the girl wasn't too sure she knew what exactly the situation Randy had found himself in was, as she was not the wrestling type of girl, but still sympathized with how he felt. Twiddling her fingers around, the girl seemed ready to say something, but then the mimikyu had introduced themselves as well. Marie wasn't quite sure how to feel about having been tailed from the shadows since they got here, but Nani didn't seem malicious.

And once, Keanu spoke up about them being family, a big smile formed on her face saying, "right. We're all family here now, so don't hide around so much anymore Nani. And Randy, I'm sure that you can take your spot in your sport if you keep working on it." While she seemed happy, her genuine smile turned into more of a smirk as she started wagging her finger at him as she joked, "but, that's only if you pick your fights better. After all, you can't enter for a contest in Alola if you're jailed in another region."

Team Alola, Day 15, Mowloo

After ten to twenty minutes of the group sitting among themselves the Tyranitar, looking older than ever before, came into the room. He sat down on a thick wooden chair with a grunt and laid his head back, eyes closed, without so much as acknowledging the group for a few moments.

Then he looked back at them. "I'll get right to the point. What you had said, Randy, about my daughter. I don't believe it but its been nagging at me for a while. And with all this going on...I can't just leave this place just yet. So I guess...what I'm saying." He rubbed the back of his neck and squirmed a bit. Clearly uncomfortable and out of sorts. "I don't know what you guys plan on doing from here but...could you go back to my old home, in Trailsau? And....make sure my two youngest are...doing fine?"

Team Showdown, Day 30, Southshore Forest

Zygarde looked towards Scarlet with an unimpressed expression. "You can never outspeed me." She declared simply and her entire body blurred. Scarlet's attack was fast but it seemed that Zygarde's was much faster. She got in under Scarlet's arm and thrust her fist into the Scizor's chest, denting the metallic plate covering it and knocking her back a bit.

Zygarde stared into Scarlet's eyes and the Scizor would see the fury in the Legend's own. She looked pained and outraged at the same time. Once more the ground arrows erupted from the ground around Zygarde. But this time they all were posed to crash down upon Scarlet herself.

Meanwhile, as Taiga stepped into the small orb of snow, she would feel her body slowly taking damage, and the orb recoiled back once she began to speak.

Isole's voice, muffled and distorted, came through. "Don't...touch." She said. "She's too strong. We have to leave. We have to leave now."

Team Karaoke, Day 28, Northshore

Gwen, one arm around the younger Ghost's shoulders, led Lok along with Nine back to the mansion. The gate was opened entirely as was the door and they were able to get in much easier and faster. Lok would experience the unusual journey up to Jirachi's sanctum, as well as the surprisingly beautiful scenery of the place that the Legend was residing.

Jirachi would give the boy some time to take it all in before speaking. "This is everyone?" She didn't seem convinced but also seemed to know not to press it. "Well, if this is the group, then it is time to take my leave." She glanced around. "I have been here for so long I'm afraid I might be a little....afraid to leave." She smiled at the group. "That's a silly thing for one such as I isn't it?" She took a deep breath. "But all things must come to an end." The scenery around them faded, blurred, until it warped back into what was simply an old, abandoned, bedroom. The furniture covered in dust and the bedding full of holes. It seemed a place that hadn't had anyone in it in many, many years.

Jirachi reached her hands out to the group. "Join hands, I shall take us where we must go."

---

"Well. I tried to, anyway." Jirachi said, almost bashfully, as they finished their teleportation and wound up still a couple days away from Juyu. "I swear that's where the city used to be...well, I guess we must do this the old fashioned way." She then took a step forward and almost tumbled forward. "I....am not used to walking anymore."

Team Neo Not Dark, Day 32, S.S. Showdown

It was two more days of travel, due to some rough weather, until the group had reached their destination. How Captain knew it was their destination was beyond everyone else. The water looked the same as it had anywhere else during this trip. Though it was now much closer as the ship had landed in the water an hour previously.

The group and the crew had clashed in various manners, be it fighting, card games, or other such things, over the past couple days and, as the group gathered to get ready to take the next step, the crew was up there with them.

Trava was staring at Denku and, if asked, would say that she would like him to come back sometime. Though she wasn't quite sure why.

Jane seemed to have grown a bit more comfortable around Brooke but was still avoiding Easter and Denku. She gave the Emboar a basket filled with pastries and told her to make sure that Dora didn't eat them before bedtime.

Edna scowled at Easter and declared that she was going to win the next time they met.

And Solana was clinging to Dora and proclaiming that she would be her big sister forever and always and that she was going to miss her so much.

Though finally Clyde voiced what many of them were likely thinking. "Well now what? There's nothing down there you know."

Captain nodded. "There isn't...at least, not if you don't know where to look. Isn't that right?" He looked at Dora with a smirk.

Dora nodded as well, much more vigorously. "Yup! I know just what to do!" She then waddled towards the edge of the ship....and dove overboard.

She landed in the water with a small splash and there would be a brief moment of panic before Dora, encased in a large, somewhat milky white and foamy, bubble, rose up to the surface. She called out to them but her voice was muffled and hard to make out. Captain gave a laugh and said. "So the rumors were true...well, what are you waiting for? Hop on in....And good luck. I can't say what kind of welcome you'll get but whatever the case it's bound to be more dangerous than it appears. Merm hasn't had many visitors I imagine so they might not be the...friendliest bunch."

Team Mac, Day 31, Mushroom Forest

Cresselia seemed to fade into the background as the group conversed among each other. In fact after several moments she faded from view entirely. But they would still be able to sense some sort of warm presence looking over them.

Mac rolled her eyes at Kazo. "Of course I'm going to keep fighting. But you don't have to. I'm gonna help to take these guys down no matter what. Even if I have to find whoever this group who beat one of them are...But I guess I'd rather go with you guys if you want." She mumbled the last bit.

Her next words, after Ari asked Kazo a question, were less mumbled. "Hey, I'm the leader, shouldn't you be asking me? Arceus, you are really bad at being a lackey, Ari, you know that?"

Once they had made their way back to the mansion, the way much easier to get through this time then it had been before, the group had climbed up the same set of sky stretching stairs that were there before meeting with the wish granting legend once more. While they seemed skeptical about their group's size, when asked Nine merely nodded to them and the legend seemed to not pry any further. As she began to voice her worries, Nine merely smiled, a bit heartened by how ordinary the legend seemed. "Don't worry, you got the best tour guides to the outside world you could need." After jokingly reassuring the legend, he followed Jirachi's instructions to hold hands with everyone and within the blink of an eye, they were no longer in Northshore.

They were still, however, not in Juyu.

Whistling, impressed by their sudden change in scenery, Nine said, "well that's not something you do every day." Noting that they were still quite a bit away, the Houndoom figured they should start their journey. As Jirachi started to stumble forward, Nine walked over saying, "well, like you said. I've still got to put in some effort on my part to make the wish come true right? So here," offering his shoulder for her to lean on. Looking to Gwen he said, "see, they aren't so different from us." His eyes then drifted to Lok, unsure of  how they were feeling. He didn't know the specifics behind what happened between him and the Drapion, nor did he actually know what to do about him now anyway, and so Nine elected to act as his usual self. Looking to the legend he said, "so, how's your first taste of fresh air in such awhile?"

While the group had sat there and talked with one another for a bit longer, eventually the Tyranitar had come back to speak with them. The girl's face grew troubled as he went on to explain that he had wanted to go check on their home town, and more specifically his daughters. Remembering the conversation earlier, and finally putting a name to a face, Marie didn't want to think of what might have happened had they not intervened in that fight. Moreover, with her mind jumping to the worst, being what had just recently transpired, it took little time at all for the girl to say, "we'll do it." Looking to the others, with a face that didn't seem to be taking "no" for an answer, saying, "right guys?"

After Randy, the Mimikyu spoke to the group.

"I have to apologize for something too. I'm not new to your group at all. I've been following all three of you ever since we all left Alola. I didn't get a chance to introduce myself on the boat, and thought it would be weird if I only said something after touching land, and it just sort of... got to the point where I was basically stalking you all. Sorry for being creepy like that. But now is as good a time as any, so. Hi. My name is Nani, and I'm a Mimkyu. Sorry again for only just recently showing my face."

Then Keanu...

"Heh. Don't be sorry, either of you. After all, we're all ohana now. And ohana means nobody gets left behind or forgotten."

Lastly, Marie spoke...

"Right. We're all family here now, so don't hide around so much anymore Nani. And Randy, I'm sure that you can take your spot in your sport if you keep working on it. But, that's only if you pick your fights better. After all, you can't enter for a contest in Alola if you're jailed in another region."

A small smile appeared on the Incineroar's face, especially with Marie. "Then...I guess you better be quick on the diplomacy, miss "adult"." he chuckled, joking around with Marie. "Either way, thank you all. I promise I'll try and make strides to help us out a lot more..." he nodded firmly, before looking at Nani. "And Nani...I guess now it's welcome to the team...officially anyway."

After he said this, he watched the Tyranitar return. Though from what Randy could see, he looked even older than he did prior. He definitely looked like something was bothering him, especially with the way he sat down in the chair with his eyes closed and head laid back.

"I'll get right to the point. What you had said, Randy, about my daughter. I don't believe it but its been nagging at me for a while. And with all this going on...I can't just leave this place just yet. So I guess...what I'm saying. I don't know what you guys plan on doing from here but...could you go back to my old home, in Trailsau? And....make sure my two youngest are...doing fine?"

It was obvious he was uncomfortable with asking even this, but the fact that he did definitely showed that he was pretty worried about this whole situation. He doesn't believe us...but he's wanting to go the extra mile to make sure everything else is alright. he thought, perking up slightly when Marie spoke.

"We'll do it. Right guys?"

Randy gave a nod, smiling slightly. "I'd say it's the least we could do. I bet they're fine though..." he said, crossing his arms looking over at the militia leader. "If they're anything like their father, then they can definitely handle themselves. But still, we'll make the trip up to Trailsau...honestly I think that was the next place we were plannin' to go anyway. Oh but, can I ask something? Is there anything you might be able to give us to show we ain't bad when we see them?" he asked, rubbing the back of his neck slightly. "Would raaaaaaaather not be mistaken as a threat."

"So you do care!" the Litleo teased. "And it's because I already knew what you were going to say, duh," he rolled his eyes as well, before fixing his attention on the Gabite in front of him. If Mac was for it, and he was on the fence, then what was Kazo?

The next two days were rather boring, though the weather wasn't. The turbulence was enough to cause Easter to drown in nostalgia for a bit, though he seemed more cheerful the longer he spent with Captain and the others. He attempted to approach Apanie multiple times for a rematch, but each time she seemed defensive and reluctant to speak with him, so he eventually gave up. He did, however, get to battle Edna, who was an easier win than Apanie, though it wouldn't do to tell her that. After that, the Sylveon took it easy, not wanting to go into Merm exhausted and beat up.

He responded to Edna's impassioned cry with equal fervor, eyes shining. It was almost like being back in Adarid Arena again, fighting a fire type with an equal love for battling.

Eventually the four of them, as well as the crew, gathered up above deck, staring down at the water below. Soon, Dora ended up diving overboard, causing Easter to jerk forward and cling to the rigging at the side as he stared down. She was a water type, but still...

Before he could decide what to do, the Wooper, encased in a large, somewhat milky white and foamy, bubble, rose up to the surface.

"Thanks for the reassurance," Easter replied dryly. Out of everybody, he stayed up on the ship the longest. Not out of cowardice, but to say his goodbyes to Captain and Clyde. "Thanks," he repeated, this time more sincere, staring at a point past their shoulders as he forged his way through what felt like an awkward conversation. "I'm glad I came back. It was...different, but some things never change, I guess." His voice had gone small and quiet, but when he finished, a rare, genuine smile lit up his face, and it was in that moment that he truly looked as young as his twenty-four years, a person still finding his footing in the world. And then he waved, turned to leave, and he was back to his bubbly self, with casual confidence and eyes that laughed at the world around him. "Maybe I'll get you guys a souvenir." It was a joke, but at the same time, a promise, that they would meet again.

And then he dove into the bubble in a perfect Swanna dive, standing back up and brushing himself off. "Well, that was fun," he grinned.

A small smile appeared on the Incineroar's face, especially with Marie. "Then...I guess you better be quick on the diplomacy, miss "adult"." he chuckled, joking around with the Pop--Brionne. "Either way, thank you all. I promise I'll try and make strides to help us out a lot more..." he nodded firmly, before looking at Nani. "And Nani...I guess now it's welcome to the team...officially anyway."

"Yeah, welcome," Keanu smiled. "So long as you don't skin me, we're good," he laughed a little nervously.

Soon after, the Tyranitar returned, asking the group to go to Trailsau and check on his youngest children. Personally, Keanu wasn't too keen on that. After seeing the aggressive nature of both the militia leader and his eldest, he wasn't sure how he'd handle the other two.

But, Marie and Randy both seemed to want to do it, so, sighing, the Pikachu said, "Yeah, yeah, fine, whatever." He wasn't a huge fan of the militia leader in the first place, as he had seemed to be one of the main causes of the friction between the citizens and the natives, but while he had followed Blake, the others had apparently been bonding with this guy. "And yeah, something to give them, or at least something to tell them, would be nice." Maybe they had a code word or something.

Once more the ground arrows erupted from the ground around Zygarde. But this time they all were posed to crash down upon the Scizor herself.

Veronica's breath hitched at the sight. "Leave now...fools," she coughed out blood, and retrieved a kerchief to wipe it off. "No...good, have to...heal." She took out a bottle of Berry Juice and swallowed it down in a gesture that was both brisk yet elegant at the same time. The woman then stood up, her bow-tied scarf flapping behind her in the wind, so it looked almost like a pair of wings.

BGM

And then, with a powerful flap, the wind around them whipped up, each of the members of Team Showdown finding themselves light on their feet, as if the air itself was lending them wings. The next second, a pink blur slammed into Scarlet, sending the two of them out of the way of Zygarde's attack.

"My apologies for the push," Veronica said, voice slightly airy from exertion. "However," she tossed her hair. "Legendary or not, that woman should know better than to boast of speed while I am around."

"Heh. Don't be sorry, either of you. After all, we're all ohana now. And ohana means nobody gets left behind or forgotten."

"Right. We're all family here now, so don't hide around so much anymore Nani."

"I'll... do my best." This felt odd. Nani had fully expected them to reject her when the knowledge that she'd been essentially stalking them this entire time came up. Yet here they were, accepting her as if she'd always been part of the group. It was moving, to say the least. A while later, the Tyranitar returned. He sat for a while without saying anything, but then he finally spoke up.

"I'll get right to the point. What you had said, Randy, about my daughter. I don't believe it but its been nagging at me for a while. Tyranitar's daughter... that other Tyranitar, that the group fought in Northshore. How were the people up there doing anyway? Well, she hoped. However, Northshore wasn't their destination. It was Trailsau. Head into town, check up on this guy's relatives... yeah, that didn't sound so bad.

"We'll do it. Right guys?"

"I'd say it's the least we could do. I bet they're fine though... If they're anything like their father, then they can definitely handle themselves. "And yeah, something to give them, or at least something to tell them, would be nice."

"People usually mistake him for a bad guy," Nani clarified. "He's not, but that doesn't make him look any less intimidating."

Southshore Forest Team Showdown

Zygarde seemed unimpressed with Scarlet's speed, before moving extremely fast towards her. Scarlet let out a gasp of pain as the legend hit her, denting her metal exterior. It was then that she got a good look in the legend's eyes, a fury that burned even hotter than Groudon's lava. There wasn't much time to think about it, though, as Scarlet saw the arrows starting to head towards her. She didn't have enough time to dodge them, so she brought her arms up in the hopes to block it.

Before she knew it, however, she had been whisked away. Rather roughly, but she was out of harm's reach. Turning, she saw Veronica had swooped in and saved her. "Thanks..." Scarlet said a bit weakly, still trying to wrap her head around what just happened. The one advantage she thought she had - her speed - had just disappeared right before her eyes. She'd have to rethink her strategy, although at this point it was starting to become bleak. She placed her pincer on the dent in her armor subconsciously as she thought about what her next move was going to be.

Northshore Team Karaoke

Lok spent most of the trip quiet, staring at the ground. Why did being right feel so wrong? He barely registered what was going on, only noticing that the climb up the stairs seemed particularly long after the floor was barely visible from their height. He wasn't sure what to make of all of what was going on, and before he knew it he was in the middle of a meadow. It took him a second to make sure what was going on.

Almost as surreal was that he was now face to face with another Legend. Lok was surprised as the rate they were encountering Legends. Jirachi seemed rather... down to earth, which was weird to say considering where they were talking to her. Regardless, it was time to go. With a sigh, he extended both hands and prepared himself for whatever was gonna happen, closing his eyes.

When he opened his eyes, he noticed they weren't in Juyu. Jirachi seemed to have some troubles walking, so Nine stepped up to help her. As Nine turned around to look at them, his eyes locked with his. The Houndoom seemed to hesitate for a second, almost as if trying to figure out what to say to the ghost. Lok simply shrugged weakly, unsure how to respond to him or anyone really. "Onward... " He said quietly to himself, his head turning to the ground.

Brooke wasn’t above admitting she was scared. Anyone in their right mind would be.  “We’re supposed to jump? Seriously?” She leaned over the edge to peek at Dora and her heart leapt into her throat. The boat had descended down to sea level, yet the water was still over a dozen feet down, waves crashing into the hull of the boat persistently.

She grabbed ahold of the railing and leaned her head over the side. “Dora! Are you okay?”

Dora jumped up and down in excitement. "I'm okay! It's soft! And wet! Look, look, I'm walking on water!"

“Nice job kiddo! Try not to go far. I’ll be there soon… or I’ll be dead soon,” Brooke muttered the last part under her breath and turned to face the crew. Specifically, she found Jane. “Hey. I’ve never been good at this sort of thing, so… It was nice meeting you kid. Keep your head up, alright?”

"Oh...well, don't worry. As long as I'm with them I'll be okay." Her voice trailed off as a blush formed when the others turned to look at her.

Brooke nodded. “Family is—yeah. Keep ‘em close.” She swallowed hard. A lump of buried emotions welled up in her throat, but she pushed it back down. “Have a good one.” She walked to the edge of the boat and threw one last look over shoulder, this time at Captain. “Oh, and Captain... the answer’s still no.”

She fell backwards over the edge and into the ocean. It was all or nothing.

Team Showdown - Southshore Forest

As she approached the orb, it retracted once more, condensing into itself and molding the winter storm around Isole's body.  Taiga knocked away the frost that had gathered on her skin, baring her teeth as she did so.  These blizzards didn't hurt her too much, but it was still annoying.

"Don't...touch." She said. "She's too strong. We have to leave. We have to leave now."

"This is why I didn't want you to come.  I wanted you to sit this one out!  But NoooOOooo.  You wanna act all big and tough!"  Taiga went to grip Isole, but there was nothing to grab.  Taiga stomped on the ground, causing it to cave in beneath her heel.  "Listen, Isole, and you listen well!  I ain't got nothin'!"  She said without a single hesitation.  "There's nothin' for me out there Ice...no one...no where...nothin'!  But now, I've got you.  I've got Scar.  Hell, I've even got some Legend's I'm rubbin' elbows with!"  A slight smile traced her face at the mention.  It was like waking up from a dream, but waking up in the dream that you were dreaming about.  "Now, I'm not sayin' they're all great, because Rayquaza can kiss my keester!  But what I am saying...is that I've searched the world ten times over for a horde of treasure...but I've already foun-....fufufu...Never mind."  She smacked her cheeks to stop herself from getting too sappy.   "You've got people out there Isole...you got a family, right?"

The question took her back, all the way to the S.S. Showdown.  There were so many Rotom's on that ship, but Isole was the one that fit on the team best.

"I don't want you to die here.  And I bet Bucket Head over there doesn't wanna see it neither."  Taiga said, looking straight into what she could assume were her eyes.  "So if you wanna run...then run.  But Taiga the Terrible...she's stayin' right here."  Taiga turned her back to Isole, and started stomping towards their target.  "I'm prepared to die in this forest..."  She said with a faint smile.  She rubbed her eyes of some moisture, before taking a few more steps.  "So make sure you get outta here safe and sound...tell the others back at the Sky Palace that they've got some trouble on their hands."  She slammed a fist into her palms, while continuing her confident stride.  "We'll hold her off until then."  By now, she had made it towards Scarlet's side.  That Crobat was here too, for some reason.  Taiga looked to her with a rather less than enthused look.  The fact that she would touch Scarlet after knowing her for only five seconds of knowing her must've been a crime somewhere.

"So...you wanna die too huh?"  Taiga cracked her knuckles, and then her neck.  "Fine by me."  She sighed.  She closed her eyes, taking a deep breath, and then letting it out.  Once she opened them again, they were as fierce as Zygarde's.  "There ain't no use talkin' down crazy!"  Taiga shouted to the legend.  "But I don't 'spose you could go easy on some errand runners for Rayquaza, would you?  Fufufufufu."

Taiga would wait for a response, before jetting in at top speed.  Of course, she wasn't as fast as she could have been, what with the weird aura in the air.  But she was still faster than most.  Using her momentum, she created a pillar of water that towered over Zygarde.  On top of the pillar, she performed a somersault, whilst grabbing the top with her hands.  As she made her full flip, she hurled the water fountain towards Zygarde like a missle, riding the rest of the torrent like a surfboard.  Her jaws became frost-ridden, as the large phantom chompers appeared in front of her face.  After the water rushed in for a hard hit, Taiga would launch herself towards Zygarde to bite the legend with her Frost Fang.

"I...don't want to go back home," he murmured. "I'm not good enough for that yet. But...I'm not good enough yet to go against Godslayers either." He shivered. "I just want us all to have fun together, and get stronger together. That's all." He drew his knees up to his chest, reminding Kazo of all the times he did that. He had to be the comforting pillar of strength here... was this what it was like for his brothers? "I don't want to run away, but I don't think we're ready quite yet. But..." he sighed. "Regirock was powerful and wise. He told me about Chasers, and how they used to be. And now he's dead. And back home, we worship the Life Bringer. What if they die too? And Entei...I still have to defeat Entei..." He shook his head. "I don't want to fight, but I don't want the legends to die either. Kazo..." he stared up at the Gabite, eyes intense. "What do you think? What would a leader do?"

Kazo sighed to himself as he mulled over the question. He never really thought of himself as a leader. After all, what kinda leader gets dragged around by a little girl's whims? Speaking of the little girl...

"Hey, I'm the leader, shouldn't you be asking me? Arceus, you are really bad at being a lackey, Ari, you know that?"

"So you do care!" the Litleo teased. "And it's because I already knew what you were going to say, duh," Kazo sighed to himself as Ari looked back at him, expecting his answer.

"Personally, I would rather not deal with this," Kazo admitted. "We're deep over our heads, especially since our powerhouses left the team. And the last thing I want to do is place you guys in an unwinnable fight where the stakes are our lives," He closed his eyes. "But, running away isn't the answer either. It's too big, we'll get swept up in this one way or another, ya know? We might as well face it together,"

Denku had heard Easter's comments about his old posse and being a dying shell. He quickly answered the old posse question by informing him of his brother and their friend, and how they were close as kids, but how he was separated from them because of reasons beyond his control. He didn't fill him in on being a dying shell. He figured that was just a little too personal to disclose at the moment, and it wasn't like Easter was giving info back in exchange. It didn't seem to matter that much anyways, as he wasn't pestered by it over the next few days.

It was odd, but for those few days, Denku felt at... peace. Usually, he was pestered by thoughts of his impending death, how he needed to quickly find his brother, how what he was doing had nothing to do with it... but he didn't. He felt guilty about that when he realized it... but it was nice... while it lasted. Finally, they apparently came to their destination... somehow this spot in the hundreds of miles of water is where they had to drop. The team gathered at the side of the ship, the crew seeing them off.

Everyone seemed to have their tearful goodbyes, as Easter got a challenge from Edna, Brooke got a thing of food, and Dora got hugs from Solana. Denku got... stares from Trava.

"Something up?" He decided to ask her. He didn't know what he expected, but he didn't expect her to say she wanted him to come back sometime soon. He nodded to her. "I hope to come back. Maybe next time I'll have my brother, and I can introduce the crew to him," If only to get the funny reactions Kazo would have surrounded by all these women.

And then Dora leaped off the edge.

Sure the boat was on the water now, but that wasn't a smart thing to do. Denku ran over... to see Dora inside of a bubble. So that was the trick huh? He looked over, seeing that Easter seemed to be having a moment with a crew. He turned, climbing over the edge and simply walked off. He'd let Easter have his time with his Captain.

Team Karaoke, Day 28, Road to Juyu

Gwen pouted at Nine, not realizing at first she was doing it, as he openly flirted with the Legend. Once the realization hit she shook her head and smiled amicably, wanting to hear Jirachi's response.

"so, how's your first taste of fresh air in such awhile?"

"Ah, it's...strange." Jirachi admitted. "Was it always so...." She paused, feeling a bit uncomfortable saying it, "sad?"

Gwen perked up a bit at this. Sad? "Well, you know, a lot did happen near here. Maybe that's why?"

"Hm...It's a shame. This place used to be full of life and joy...Perhaps it isn't too late to fix that."

Gwen frowned, glancing over at Lok, who was a great example of one who was less lively than they used to be. She wasn't sure what to do about it. Her siblings liked whens he made funny faces but would Lok react well to those? Perhaps she could. "Hey, Lok?" She began. "What do you call a short snowman?...A Sno-runt!" The Ghost girl then proceeded to break out into giggles at her own joke.

Team Alola, Day 16, Mowloo

The Tyranitar had begun laughing when the group made their request. A full on, earnest, belly laugh. "Yes, I can see why people would think that but don't you worry." He paused to take a breath. "Everyone is equal in Trailsau, as long as you can fight. For better or worse."

---

The next day the group was given supplies by the way of food, and a map of the region, and told the easiest way out of the jungle. Which, as it turned out, was the Pyroar they met before. "Welcome back! You know, this place feels a whole lot more friendly like than it did before. Yous have anything to do with dat?"

He let them once more back aboard his raft, which would take them almost out of the jungle proper but it would take a total of 2 days on the raft and another two days on foot, through the thick jungle, to leave the jungle. And from then on the road to Trailsau would be a tough one. As it seemed there weren't any physical roads that cut through the rocky land that led to the city.

Team Mac, Day 32, Mushroom Forest

Mac shook her head at the Gabite. "Oh, Kazo, Kazo, Kazo, when are you gonna learn? We're more than strong enough on our own! Next time we have to take one of them on I'll prove it to you, I swear it! I'm no helpless little girl."

"But...it's not like we have to go searching for them. Why don't we just start by going to Ogren. That's next, right?"

Cresselia made a reappearance, then, smiling somewhat sadly. "It seems you have decided to leave. I cannot deny part of me hoped you'd stay here with me but I would never wish to keep you here. Yes, Ogren is the nearest city, a mere two day journey away. And...there is someone there that you may wish to meet." She didn't say much more about it than that, leaving it vague, but she did tell them the shortest route out of the forest. Which would lead them to the marshy land outside of Ogren.

---

A land which, Mac decided, sucked. A lot. "Why is...it so...hard to...walk in this!" She whined as her boot got stuck in the muck for the third time in a row. "Who can live in a place this wet!?" She asked the others. Coming from the desert of Oasis this was a huge change. A change she wasn't fond of. "I wonder who this person Cresselia mentioned is...better be worth it."

Team Neo Not Dark, Day 32, S.S Showdown

As the entire group finally landed in the bubble they would find that the inside was much more comfortable than they'd expect. And spacious. It fit them all and seemed like it'd fit at least a dozen more people. Dora, when they all landed, began running circles around them. Or rather, skating, as the floor seemed slippery enough to do so. "This is how I came to the surface you know! On a smaller bubble than this but still! Isn't it greeeeat?"

She then nodded her head with determination. "And now, onward!" She flopped down on her belly and put her forehead to the bottom of the bubble. As she did the foam surrounding it gave a soft glow and, a moment later, they began to descend.

As they breached the water's surface they'd find that the bubble gave them a surprisingly clear view of what was underwater. Which, at the moment, was mostly fish swimming around. Large, multicolored, creatures that seemed perfectly at ease with the bubble as it passed them by. Off in the distance they could see what looked like a huge, red, octopus gently drifting through the water. And several stingrays gliding underneath.

It took a good several hours for them to reach the bottom of the sea-floor, which they would find was covered in coral and had even more unusual sea creatures. Over there was a long, shark-like, creature with what appeared to be only an upper jaw. And darting between the coral were thin, silvery, fish traveling in large schools.

They even saw clusters of clams, with what appeared to be pearls nearby, though they slammed shut as the group passed near them.

Dora seemed to be tiring out, and, after a bit more travel, the glow surrounding the bubble faded and she rolled onto her back. Though the bubble stayed settled near the sea-floor, it didn't seem to be moving much anymore. "That...made me dizzy." Dora said with a tired giggle.

Team Showdown, Day 30, Southshore Forest

Zygarde didn't seem all too impressed by the Crobat's display of speed. After all they only used it to run away so far.

The Sharpedo, on the other hand...Using the burst of speed from the Tailwind the girl had been able to perform a rather complicated combination and Zygarde had to dig her feet into the ground as the water slammed into her.

Taiga's words echoed in Zygarde's mind as the Sharpedo bit down onto the Legend's neck, drawing blood and sending a chill through her body.

"But I don't 'spose you could go easy on some errand runners for Rayquaza, would you?  Fufufufufu."

"Ray...quazaaaaa! That arrogant bastard!" Zygarde roared as she flung her body forward and threw Taiga to the ground. "RRRRAAARRRGGGGHHHH!" the Legend roared, her body being covered in a purplish glow. Steam seemed to leave the woman's body as her muscles became more pronounced and she began to slam her fists into the Sharpedo, in a powerful display of strength.

"You're insane..." Isole muttered, "but I guess it's up to me to keep you alive...Captain would say."

The girl, still in her unusual form, darted around the sides of the clearing, feeling the heat from the flames affecting her body, and reformed into her regular self behind the outraged Zygarde. Taking a deep breath the girl launched a flurry of snow and hail towards the Legend's back.

We might as well face it together."

Ari was surprised to hear that Kazo did not want to do this, but then again, the Gabite was a gentle soul at heart. That was why he looked up to him so much, because he managed to be both strong and kind. This is why Kazo's the best, he thought. And he thought of something I hadn't thought of. I figured if we ran away, we wouldn't have to face it, but he's right. This is probably going to affect us all somehow. "You're right," he said. "That's what a leader would do. They wouldn't run away just because they were scared..." he looked down at his feet. I'm scared, but we really don't have much of a choice, do we?

Mac started talking and saying her usual confident Mac stuff. Somehow, it was reassuring to hear. If Mac were ever unsure or afraid...well, the world would really be ending then. But it seemed like their next destination would be Ogren. Which ended up being quite...wet.

"Why is...it so...hard to...walk in this!" Mac whined. "Who can live in a place this wet!? I wonder who this person Cresselia mentioned is...better be worth it."

"Ugh...be quiet," Ari muttered. "At least you're an electric type. Kazo and I are both weak to water, and do you hear us complaining?" While he wasn't complaining, the fire type's mood had taken a complete nosedive since arriving at the marsh, making him snappier than normal.

Once in the bubble, Easter settled himself into a seated position, his usual girly one of touching his knees together, hands draped over them. He watched the surroundings with interest, but soon grew more interested in grilling--eheh, talking to Denku. After all, they really didn't know much about the Pupitar, and what he had learned so far piqued his interest. He had gotten distracted fighting Edna on the ship these past few days, but now there was nothing holding him back. Though, when he thought about it, he didn't really know too much about Brooke or Dora either. And I didn't know anything about Fawkes, he thought bitterly, before shaking his head to clear it. This might also be good for a distraction, he thought, glancing at Brooke.

"Sooo," he started. "Might be a bit late, but, thinking about it, we don't really know much about each other, like where we came from, what we were doing before we became a group. Well, except for Brooke and Dora, I know you two have been together for a while," he nodded at the duo. "Might as well start. As for me, I'm from Northshore. It's where I learned what I know about music." He stopped talking. He wasn't used to being this...honest about his past, to anybody save for the S.S. Showdown, but somewhere along the line, these people had become more than just traveling companions. They had become a family of sorts, even Denku, though he was still in the process of being inducted.

"I...ran away from home," he admitted. "Or...well, I was kicked out. Suffice to say, my parents didn't approve of my fashion choices." Oh, yeah, this was really awkward. Now he remembered why he didn't talk about himself all that much. "Traveled to Trailsau for a bit, but didn't stay there long," his mouth tasted like ash as he remembered that time. The time he made the decision to fight. "Went to Adarid next, fought in their arena for a few years, though I could never beat the champion," he shook his head, a wry smile on his face. "And then I traveled over here, where I joined the S.S. Showdown," he swallowed. This was the hard part. "There was...an incident. Well, the old crew and I, we left after that. Traveled around for a bit, and ended up in Juyu, though I hear it got destroyed. Went to Deku, which also got destroyed, and then to Coldharbour, which, again, got destroyed." He chuckled, "If I didn't know any better, I'd think I was the cause of all of that. Come to think of it, didn't Mioter get attacked as well? The world's gotten more exciting lately, that's for sure."

"People usually mistake him for a bad guy," Nani clarified. "He's not, but that doesn't make him look any less intimidating."

"I think it's 'cause you're so used to being a heel," Keanu joked. "You just have that air about you, eh?"

The Tyranitar had begun laughing when the group made their request. A full on, earnest, belly laugh. "Yes, I can see why people would think that but don't you worry." He paused to take a breath. "Everyone is equal in Trailsau, as long as you can fight. For better or worse."

"I don't know I like the sound of that," the electric type muttered.

The next day they met up with the Pyroar from before. "Welcome back! You know, this place feels a whole lot more friendly like than it did before. Yous have anything to do with dat?"

"Yeah," Keanu sighed, staring at the ground below him. "That we did."

The next two days aboard the raft, the Pikachu said little, lost in his thoughts. Mother, father, Kai, Blake...I'm sorry, thought. I failed you all. He remembered what Eve had said, before he left her. "It wasn't all...he wanted. It was all...he wanted to want, though."

Yeah, I understand that, he thought. Maybe if I had wanted the same things as them...then I'd be with them, and not here...

Then as he was almost out the door. "Thank you.....and whether you're an idiot or not is still uncertain."

That--he cut himself off before he said something rash. "Well at least I'm certain now that I don't like you," despite his harsh words, his tone was mild.

I wonder how well they're working together, he thought. Maybe we'll come back and the place will be burned to the ground. But I hope not. He looked up at the ribbon of sky which had followed the river here in the dense jungle. Wouldn't want them to lose their home too.

"Thanks..."

Veronica huffed, her expression annoyed. "You are quite welcome. Do try not to get yourself killed now since you seem so stubbornly set on fighting a legendary."

"Idiot! Why would you want to die?" the Crobat shouted, before her expression twisted in disgust. "And Rayquaza sent you? Ugh, I should've known..."

"Ray...quazaaaaa! That arrogant bastard!" Zygarde seemed equally displeased with the legendary, roaring as she flung her body forward and threw Taiga to the ground.

Veronica watched the quiet Rotom unleash a Blizzard from behind Zygarde. She didn't want to get hit by that, so she would come in from the side. Running forward in a burst of speed, she opened her mouth...and a ghostly giant, sharpened pair of upper incisors appeared, chomping down on the legendary and draining her of some of her health. And then she was back in her former position, looking healthier than she had before. "What a brute." She glared up at the legendary, "You really are all the same, aren't you?"

Southshore Forest Team Showdown

"You are quite welcome. Do try not to get yourself killed now since you seem so stubbornly set on fighting a legendary." Scarlet simply chuckled.

"Well... we got a job to do." Scarlet said, as Taiga conveniently named what that job was. Veronica didn't seem all too pleased about that fact, seemingly knowing something about the big green guy. She'd have to ask her later. Right now, they had bigger and greener problems.

Taiga lunged forward towards the legend, and everyone else was beginning to move. Scarlet could feel a bit of the Sword's Dance energy still in her, and at the moment it seemed like Zygarde wasn't paying attention to her. With all the other attacks going on, she probably wouldn't notice the bug until after she made an attack. She was still shook about getting out sped like that, but she couldn't just stand there and do nothing...

"It's now or never." Scarlet said, before dashing forward. As Taiga sent herself above Zygarde, Scarlet figured it would be better to attack from below. She dashed low to the ground before she was close to her target, and then she lunged forwards. Instead of a punch, her pincers opened up with a loud clang before rapidly clenching themselves onto Zygarde's gut as Scarlet trusted her arm towards the legend.

Northshore Team Karaoke

Lok let out a heavy sigh as Jirachi mention that everything had gotten sadder since she remembered. He wasn't feeling too happy either, and it seemed like the others could tell. Gwen came up to Lok. "Hey, Lok?" The ghost boy tilted his head upwards to see Gwen, who seemed concerned. "What do you call a short snowman?... A Sno-runt!" Gwen began to giggle at her own joke. Lok felt bad. He was letting his own personal issues get to the others. Plus, what had happened was for the better; Fiona was going to betray them again. Even if he felt like... something was wrong, he had to at least try and keep the mood up.

So he laughed. He didn't find the joke particularly funny, and his laughter was slightly forced. But he still laughed. "Good one..." Lok said, trying to keep a smile up. "Comedy Gold-een." He responded, a bit dry but he hoped that she wouldn't catch onto that.

Nine seemed to frown a bit as Jirachi had mentioned how sad the place seemed. The young Houndoom couldn't exactly disagree with that, as he had gone from one ruined city to the next everywhere he had gone these past few weeks. Thinking on  the matter, Nine wondered more about the current situation they were in, but as Jirachi wondered if it was still not too late to go back to this being a more lively area, Nine merely smiled and said, "well, I certainly hope there is. Otherwise there'd be no point to me doing this whole Chaser thing." As he seemed to be joking in the last part, Nine still looked wistfully in the direction of Juyu in the distance. Not dwelling on that for too long, Nine looked back to the legend saying, "so Jirachi. We've likely seen this place at different times, so what was the Juyu you remembered like? Or the Adarid for that matter."

Marie's mood seemed to be very uplifted as the group began to make their way out of the forest. She gave a goodbye to both the Tyranitar and Eve as they made their way out of the town, chastising them a bit to make sure that they make amends and speak peacefully with each other. With their new route planned, the group met up with the Pyroar from before, and began to set sail through the river once again. Marie seemed to enjoy the sights all around her, but was as deep into thought as Keanu had been. She was glad that at the end of the day they had managed to save the two villages from tearing each other part, in fact, Marie was overjoyed that they hadn't ended up losing their homes. Yet still, what Yveltal still stuck with her, and still worried her. As such, looking to the others she said, "guys. Um, thanks for going along with this. Going to see Trailsau and all. It's just that....well....Well, things'll probably be fine there. And Randy," she turned to the man saying, "even if they like fighting there, don't go around picking any fight that you see. You too Nani." She chided the Mimikyu as well. She wasn't actually sure how combative Nani was when annoyed or shoved, but it never hurt  to make sure.

Location: Jungle (Team Alola, Day 16)

Poké: 500

Inventory: Good Rod, Antidote x2, Kasib Berry

Today was a much better day than yesterday so far. No fighting yet, and not many interactions with others that Nani had to do either! She was doing pretty well for herself today, if she was being totally honest. The group was being brought back up the river by the same Pyroar who had brought them down in the first place, who had also commented that the jungle felt more friendly now. Nani didn't really get that sentiment. Animals being less hostile could be considered something like that, but what about the trees? Or was it an atmosphere thing that went over her head? Whatever it was, she didn't linger on it for long. She wanted to take this time to relax.

"Guys. Um, thanks for going along with this. Going to see Trailsau and all. It's just that....well....Well, things'll probably be fine there. And Randy, even if they like fighting there, don't go around picking any fight that you see. You too Nani."

"I'm not much of a fighter," Nani commented, looking up at the canopy of trees above her. She had to admit, this jungle wasn't too shabby. If she ever got stuck living in Adarid, maybe she'd go back to Mowloo. "I got into the fight yesterday because if I didn't, I'm pretty sure all of you would be dead. I feel weird about basically stalking you all this time, but I'd feel even worse letting you die without doing anything, just to stay anonymous." What kind of sick freak would do that?

Team Showdown - Southshore Forest

The next thing Taiga knew, she was pinned to the ground.  Above her was a frightfully terrifying display of rage and wrath, ready to be brought down upon her.  Those large arms were put to use, as they glowed with a powerful aura, slamming them into Taiga's body without even the slightest hesitation.  Taiga could feel her flesh and bone warp from the force of the blows.  It was insane how hard she was being hit...way harder than anything she had ever felt before.  Why was it always like this?

"You're insane..." She heard Isole mutter, "but I guess it's up to me to keep you alive...Captain would say."

Taiga would have come back with some sass, but she was currently being beaten into some sort of weird, shark-like paste.  However, with Scarlet and Isole both pincering the Legend, quite literally in Scarlet's case, she decided that she'd have to save her breath to make sure Zygarde stood still.  Whilst the Legend continued to beat on her like a drum, Taiga used all of her willpower to shoot her head up in an attempt to latch onto a swinging arm with her frost-covered fangs.  If she had snagged her, she would pull at the legend with all her might!

"Oh, Kazo, Kazo, Kazo, when are you gonna learn? We're more than strong enough on our own! Next time we have to take one of them on I'll prove it to you, I swear it! I'm no helpless little girl." Kazo shook his head and muttered to himself,

"The proof is in the puddin', Mac,"

"But...it's not like we have to go searching for them. Why don't we just start by going to Ogren. That's next, right?" The legendary appeared, confirming this was indeed the case. Armed with that knowledge, they headed off. It was quickly discovered that Ogren was in a swamp. That... wasn't good, and Mac seemed to hate it... "Why is...it so...hard to...walk in this!" She whined as her boot got stuck in the muck for the third time in a row. "Who can live in a place this wet!?" She asked the others. "I wonder who this person Cresselia mentioned is...better be worth it."

"Ugh...be quiet," Ari muttered. "At least you're an electric type. Kazo and I are both weak to water, and do you hear us complaining?" Kazo scratched his cheek, unable to bring himself to pop Ari's bubble and reveal that he was not weak to water. The dragon in him really covered his bases when it came to the elements... except ice...

Still, the two were seemingly having a bad time, and hell, he couldn't even run in this terrain. He sighed to himself before scooping up both Mac and Ari, carrying them under his arms. "Right, let's make this a bit easier for all of us, okay?" Kazo said as he kept walking. He really hoped Mac didn't struggle. He really don't want to get chewed out for dropping her.

Undersea Travel

Denku got comfortable in the bubble, watching the sea animals pass by them. It was so beautiful down here... he really couldn't believe it. He looked back at the group, however, as Easter thought this was a good time to start talking.

It's where I learned what I know about music." He stopped talking, causing Denku to shift a bit. It would seem that they were going deep into the backstory here.

"I...ran away from home," he admitted. "Or...well, I was kicked out. Suffice to say, my parents didn't approve of my fashion choices." Well, that was not the way he expected this to go."Traveled to Trailsau for a bit, but didn't stay there long. Went to Adarid next, fought in their arena for a few years, though I could never beat the champion," he shook his head, a wry smile on his face.

Juyu got destroyed? That was news for him... he was there barely two weeks ago to... that was insane. These Godslayers were something else. He folded his arms, shaking his head. Well, that hellhole was wiped off the face of the earth... he was glad Kazo ventured out before that.

"Exciting is certainly a word to use to describe the state of the world," Denku said. "Well, since you poured out your heart to us, I might as well return the favor," He took a deep breath, shaking his head before starting. Time to pick at this wound. "I grew up in Juyu. I really don't know much about my father, I just know something happened between him and my mother. She remarried to a woman, one that had a son, a little Gible named Kazo... the brother I'm looking for,"

He looked upwards, just admiring the water and life outside of the bubble. "Growing up was... different, to say the least. Kazo's mom really hated him, for a reason I never understood. Something about wanting a daughter and getting him instead. Kazo was a tall kid for his age, and had the look of a troublemaker, so a lot of fairy types took pleasure in attacking him... they found it funny such a big dragon was really unable to defend himself, since no one would believe such a tough looking kid was really a timid little boy. So, I did what a big brother should, and defended him. Got me in a lot of trouble, but I didn't care...," he paused as he thought about the past more. "My mother didn't like the way Kazo was being treated, but Kaz's mom didn't give a rat's ass... the two fought about constantly... until one day, they just... split apart,"

He looked back to the group. "My mom took me and moved to Ogren, leaving my brother behind. I never really forgave her for that, and I promised myself I'd get strong enough to take care of myself and head back to Juyu and save my bro," He chuckled. "It never really happened though," He tapped on his chest, right over his heart. "I learned about two years ago I had a heart disease. It causes me a lot of pain, and makes me spit up blood, not to mention it's going to kill me. I really don't know when. Could be in the next five minutes, could be in ten years," He sighed and scratched his cheek. "So I took a year to get used to the pain, and then set out to find my brother... It's been going poorly," he shook his head. "I went to Juyu, found out he wasn't there... then went to Pride Rock, got caught up in a war, met Xerneas, and then was teleported to Coldharbour, where I met all of you,"

"And yeah, something to give them, or at least something to tell them, would be nice."

"People usually mistake him for a bad guy. He's not, but that doesn't make him look any less intimidating."

"I think it's 'cause you're so used to being a heel. You just have that air about you, eh?"

"Jeez, thanks for the help guys..." Randy rolled his eyes slightly, chuckling. It was the thought that counted at least, so he really didn't mind.

"Yes, I can see why people would think that but don't you worry. Everyone is equal in Trailsau, as long as you can fight. For better or worse."

This specifically caught Randy's attention. Trailsau, everyone was equal as long as they could fight? Something like this actually sparked a fire right in his eyes but he immediately glanced down at Marie, Keanu, and Nani. He already told them why he did things, plus Marie already told him to try and pick his fights better. But then again...he wasn't sure what Trailsau had in store for them...so being on guard wouldn't technically be a bad thing.

The next day, the group got their supplies in the area of food and a new map of the area, as well as being told how to easily get out of the jungle. Randy tossed his bag over his shoulder, watching the group say their good-byes, with Marie basically chastising both the militia leader and Eve make amends and work together peacefully.

Heh...ever the negotiator. Randy chuckled, before holding out his hand towards the Tyranitar. "Sir. For what it's worth, I apologize for attack your troop when we met. I also want to thank you for afterwards with taking care of my friends while I was in prison."

He grunts. "I used to be a pretty rowdy kid in my day too you know." He then gives Randy a "light" tap atop the head. "Just learn some restraint. Especially if you're going to look after that kid."

"Heh, understood sir." Randy nodded. "And, one more thing. I didn't ask too much of it last night, but what you said, about Trailsau. Is it normally full of people fighting?"

"The people there...they see fighting different than most. It's just a way of life for them."

Randy crossed his arms, sighing as he nodded. "Alright. I'll keep my eyes open. I doubt anything will happen, but I'll make sure nothing happens to them."

With that, Randy turned with a small salute at the militia leader and Eve as he joined the rest of the group down the path. Eventually they arrived right at the river they started from with the Pyroar. Randy hoped at least this time there wouldn't be any huge snakes trying to go for him...again.

"Welcome back! You know, this place feels a whole lot more friendly like than it did before. Yous have anything to do with dat?"

He thought about boring the man with all the details, but he decided against it. Probably wouldn't be a great idea to just mention that it was a Legendary that did all that. "Yeah we did." he said, flashing a smile as he got on the boat.

On the trip, he did notice some that Keanu was seeming...distant, the best word the Incineroar could use at that point. He wanted to talk to the Pikachu and figure out what was eating the poor guy, but then again, he was dragged into a different conversation that was started by Marie.

"Guys. Um, thanks for going along with this. Going to see Trailsau and all. It's just that....well....Well, things'll probably be fine there. And Randy! Even if they like fighting there, don't go around picking any fight that you see. You too Nani."

"Heh, I figured you'd mention that." Randy chuckled, shaking his head slightly. "I promise I won't do anything insane, Marie. Though I will say this...if they try and threaten you guys...I'll step in immediately. I'm keeping my guard up just to make sure nothing happens."
