I welcome you to my Summon Archetype! Small pendulum monsters use the various elements to summon forth the Summoned monsters - All the Extra Deck monsters are based off Final Fantasy Summons, and many of them are recurring pendulum monsters which can be reused! The main deck monsters are all called "Summoner", while the stronger extra deck summoned monsters are "Summoned", and the Spell and Trap support are referred to as "Summons".

Here we have the Main Deck "Summon"

[spoiler=Main Deck "Summon"]
Cloud, Summoner of The Winds
muh3ZYa.png
If you have a "Summon" card in your other Pendulum Zone: You can destroy this card, and if you do, place 1 "Summon" Pendulum Monster from your Deck in your Pendulum Zone, except a Tuner monster. You can only use this effect of "Cloud, Summoner of The Winds" once per turn. You cannot Special Summon monsters, except "Summon" monsters.

Cannot be used as a Synchro Material, except for the Synchro Summon of a "Summon" Synchro Monster. If this card is used as a Synchro Material, unless all other Synchro Materials are "Summon" monsters, place this card on the bottom of the Deck. A Synchro Monster that used this card as a Synchro Material cannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects until your opponent's next End Phase.

Comments: 1/2 of the Deck. The first tuner. Sets up your synchro plays. The targeting doesnt help much as you will be usually synchroing into the weaker synchros, who are used for more plays quickly!

Elysia, Summoner of The Nether
ir0N5Sb.png
If you have a "Summon" card in your other Pendulum Zone: You can destroy this card, and if you do, place 1 "Summon" Pendulum Monster from your Deck in your Pendulum Zone, except a Tuner Monster. You can only use this effect of "Elysia, Summoner of The Nether" once per turn. You cannot Special Summon, except for "Summon" monsters.

Cannot be used as a Synchro Material, except for the Synchro Summon of a "Summon" Synchro Monster. If this card is used as a Synchro Material, unless all other Synchro Materials are "Summon" monsters, place this card on the bottom of the Deck. A Synchro Monster that used this card as a Synchro Material cannot be destroyed by battle.

Comments: The second half of the deck. Same as above.

Refia, Summoner of Ashes
1TgHIpE.png
Once per turn: You can Special Summon 1 Level 2 "Summon" monster from your Deck, but it cannot be used as a Xyz Material or Synchro Material for a Summon this turn. You cannot Special Summon monsters, except "Summon" monsters.

This card cannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects. After damage calculation, when this card battles an opponent's monster: You can target 1 Spell or Trap Card your opponent controls; destroy that target. This card gains 200 ATK for every face-up "Summon" card you control.

Comments: Special summons either jupiter to search, or nova to set up defense. About the only main deck monster you can use to actually play without using your extra deck, and for that it is important. Can be kinda nutty as a pendulum, might reduce the atk and make it so it has to be in ATK position to activate.

Jupiter, Summoner of Aether
PAgbO1B.png
Once per turn, you can pay 300 life points: Add 1 face-up "Summon" card from your Extra Deck to your hand. You cannot Special Summon monsters, except "Summon" monsters.

When this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can add 1 "Summon" card from your Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Jupiter, Summoner of Aether" once per turn.

Comments: This and Refia are your go to pendulum zone cards. The searching on this is restricted however.it is no qliphort scout.

Nova, Summoner of Blight
I7l9QgY.png
When you Normal Summon or Special Summon a(s) "Summon" monster, you can target one of those monsters: Send 1 "Summon" monster from your Deck to the Graveyard, and if you do, replace the target's effect with the sent monster's original effects. You cannot Special Summon monsters, except "Summon" monsters.

When this card is destroyed in your possession: You can Special Summon 1 Level 2 "Summon" monster from your Deck.

Comments: Sets up the grave. It isnt the main pendulum zone card, but it can get the ball rolling. Provides nice defense while setting your plays up.

[spoiler=Extra Deck "Summoned"]
Shiva, Summoned Empress of Ice
nOkFG12.png
You cannot Special Summon monsters, except "Summon" monsters.

1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner "Summon" monsters
When this card is Summoned: You can destroy 1 card you control, then add 1 "Summon" card from your Graveyard to your hand. During either player's Main Phase, you can: Immediately after this effect resolves, Synchro Summon using this card you control (this is a Quick Effect).

Comments: The only pendulum extra deck monster without a pendulum effect. This monster is the go to of the extra deck, it recycles your cards and makes your spell and traps much more potent. The formula synchron like effect isnt that useful except for dodging cards.

Ifrit, Summoned Hellfire
UyroNuF.png
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner "Summon" monsters
When this card is Synchro Summoned: You can draw 1 card. If this card is sent to the Graveyard to activate a "Summon" monster's effect: You can Special Summon 1 "Summon" monster from your Graveyard.

Comments: Combos with shiva to create odin or levia, and can get back shiva for you during your opponents turn. The only draw card of the deck.

Levia, The Summoned Eidolon King
vaOWGtb.png
You cannot Special Summon monsters, except for "Summon" monsters. Before resolving a card effect that targets another "Summon" card(s) you control, you can negate the effect. You can only use this effect of "Levia, The Summoned Eidolon King" once per turn.

2 Level 4 "Summon" monsters
If this card has a Synchro Monster as an Xyz Material: This card cannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects. Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material; switch this card's current ATK and DEF. At the start of the Damage Step, if this card battles a Special Summoned monster: Destroy that monster. If this card in the Monster Zone is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can destroy 1 card in your Pendulum Zone, and if you do, place this card in your Pendulum Zone.

Comments: This one I am iffy about. I may lower the defense to 2000. While it has weak attack, It will be hard to get over. Still falls to much spell and trap removal, and many decks have ways to get over the untargetables/have attack modifiers though, so testing will help. I need to add the clause to be able to summon it, for this and chocobos though.

Odin, Summoned Zantetsuken
I5oPZHd.png
2 Level 4 "Summon" monsters
Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to target 1 "Summon" card you control; it is unaffected by other card effects this turn. If this card is sent to the Graveyard: You can Special Summon 1 "Summon" monster from your Extra Deck.

Comments: Losing one of your synchros can be deadly in this deck, as there isnt room to run multiples of everything, and losing one piece may cut off your link to get the bigger guys out, which this deck needs.
I may make it summon from the grave/banished/face up in the extra deck to help fix that.

Anima, Summoned Lamentations
4MQwbzg.png
Other "Summon" cards you control cannot be destroyed by card effects once per turn each. You cannot Special Summon, except for "Summon" monsters.

1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner "Summon" monsters
During either player's turn: You can target 1 "Summon" monster you control and 1 monster your opponent controls; banish those cards until the next Standby Phase. This effect can only be used once while this card is face-up on the field. If this card in the Monster Zone is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can destroy as many cards in your Pendulum Zones as possible (min. 1), and if you do, place this card in your Pendulum Zone.

Comments: If you know Anima, you know why it has this effect. Bit of balanced disruption. Can target itself and get the effect back.

Alexander, Sacred Summoned
6XHCgos.png
Pend:
"Summon" monsters you control gain 600 DEF during your opponent's turn. "Summon" monsters you control gain 600 ATK during your turn. You cannot Special Summon, except for "Summon" monsters.
Monster:
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner "Summon" monsters
During either player's turn, you can target 1 "Summon" card you control and 1 card your opponent controls; destroy them. This effect can only be used once while this card is face-up on the field. If this card in the Monster Zone is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can destroy as many cards in your Pendulum Zones as possible (min. 1), and if you do, place this card in your Pendulum Zone.

Comments: The Scrap dragon, but more disruptive. A nice wall too.

Valefor, The Summoned Fayth
8gr6r7A.png

Once per turn: You can gain Life Points equal to 250 times the total number of face-up "Summon" in your Extra Deck with different attributes and monster types.

1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner "Summon" monsters
When this card is Synchro Summoned: Negate the effects of 1 face-up card your opponent controls. When this card is destroyed by battle or card effect in your Monster Zone: You can Special Summon 1 face-up "Summon" monster from your Extra Deck with a lower level than this card, then you can destroy as many cards in your Pendulum Zones as possible (min. 1), and if you do, place this card in your Pendulum Zone.

Comments: Negates the effects, but only when synchro summoned, so that will normally happen once per duel. Acts like a kozmo dark destroyer for those you have already summoned.

Zodiark The Summoned, Keeper of Precepts
LAuQlip.png
Once per turn: You can target 1 "Summon" card you control thats effect only be activated once this turn, except for "Zodiark The Summoned, Keeper of Precepts"; its effect can be activate twice this turn. You cannot Special Summon monsters, except "Summon" monsters.

1 Tuner + 2 or more non-Tuner "Summon" monsters
During your opponent's turn: You can Special Summon as many "Summon" monsters that are banished and/or in your Graveyard, but send them to the Graveyard when they are destroyed by battle. You can only use this effect of "Zodiark The Summoned, Keeper of Precepts" once per turn. If this card in the Monster Zone is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can destroy as many cards in your Pendulum Zones as possible (min. 1), and if you do, place this card in your Pendulum Zone.

Comments: Zodiark, Keeper of Precepts. Its word is law. One of the powerhouses of the Deck. It helps get your lost Summoned monsters back to the field, but they usually will only go to the grave if negated, with nova, or if xyzd over, leaving this to only summon the smaller monsters. Do you think this needs balancing? Also the pend effect is very strong, but the level 2s probably have the best pendulum zone effects anyway.

Bahamut Summoned Twilight, King of Dragons
414bsrk.png
Can only be Special Summoned (from your Extra Deck) by banishing 3 "Summon" monsters you control whose combined levels equal 24 or more (1 Tuner and 2 non-Tuner), and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. The Summon of this card can not be negated. Unaffected by other card effects. If this card is Summoned: You can negate the effects of all cards on the field, except "Summon" cards. During either player's turn: You can shuffle this card into the Extra Deck; Special Summon 1 banished "Summon" monster, then you can shuffle 1 card on the field into the Deck. During your Second End Phase after this card was Summoned: Shuffle this card into the Extra Deck.

Comments: Bahamut, The terror. As with all the summoned monsters, i want their effect to reflect the monster. Bahamut swoops in and controls the game, but quickly leaves. Banishing 3 is a steep cost for pendulums, even though it gets one back, it still will inevitably leave during the second turn.

Strange Chocobos, Summoned Flock
MAsCdIx.png
If a face-up "Summon" monster you control is destroyed by your opponent's card (either by battle or by card effect): You can shuffle 3 "Summon" cards in your Graveyard into the Deck; Special Summon this card from your Pendulum Zone, then take 500 damage. You can only use this effect of "Chocobos, Summoned Flock" once per turn. You cannot Special Summon monsters, except "Summon" monsters.

2 Level 2 "Summon" Monsters
Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to target 1 face-up card on the field; set it. If it is a monster, your opponent cannot change its battle position, also it cannot be destroyed by battle. If it is a Spell or Trap Card, your opponent cannot activate. These changes last until your opponent's next End Phase. If this card in the Monster Zone is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can place this card in your Pendulum Zone.

Comments: This card seems necessary to the deck. It is one of the only recyclers, which can be crucial if a monster is lost to the grave, cutting off the chain to summoning the big synchros. Furthermore, it can be abused, going from monster zone to pend zone and back.

[spoiler=Summons Spell and Trap "Summons"]
The Grimoire of Summons, Necromagus
5iqJCzS.png
Target up to two face-up "Summon" cards you control; destroy them, then destroy a number of cards your opponent controls equal to the number of "Summon" cards you destroyed, and if you do, add 1 face-up "Summon" card from your Extra Deck or Graveyard to your hand, except "The Grimoire of Summons, Necromagus". For the rest of this turn, your opponent takes no damage.

Comments: A plus 0, but can still be deadly as it gets looped. Stops you from hurting your opponent in terms of life though.

The Summons of Rule Breaker
iW4cGEu.png
If you control a face-up "Summon" card: You can discard 1 card, then target 1 card your opponent controls; Shuffle it into the Deck. Your opponent cannot activate that card, or the effects of cards, with the same name as the card returned to the Deck by this effect during your opponent's next turn. If this card is in your Graveyard: You can banish 1 other "Summon" card from your Graveyard; Special Summon this card in Defense Position as an Normal Monster (Psychic-Type/LIGHT/Level 2/ATK 1000/DEF 2000). (This card is NOT treated as a Trap Card.) You can only use each effect of "The Summons of Rule Breaker" once per turn.

Comments: Powerful effect, but requires a discard and requires you to control a face up summon card, though that isnt difficult. Also helps you extend your plays, might make it so it banishes itself if it leaves the grave. And im going to cut its stats some.

The Symphony of Summons
liDnnjy.png
Once per turn, if an effect of a "Summon" card in your Monster Zone or Pendulum Zone is activated: You can add 1 "Summon" monster from your Deck to your hand. Destroy this card during your 2nd End Phase after activation. If this card is destroyed by a card effect: Gain 300 Life Points for every face-up "Summon" card you control.

Comments: Helps with consistency, but suicides soon after. Also helps you gain back some of your life, which can actually be crucial now.

Strengths of the Deck:

This deck can swarm, and even swarm during your opponents turn.

Its very defensive. It can disrupt and keep itself alive very well, though some of the cards do require life point costs.

It can recycle its spell and trap cards easily

It creates a lot of advantage

Consistent

Weakness:

Takes time to set up

Varying attributes and types (gozen and rivalry would destroy this deck until you get refia)

Main deck monsters do very little by themselves, and are very weak

Special Summon reliant, Extra Deck reliant

Flood gate vulnerable

The chain of summoning into bigger monsters can be cut off easily as there are about 10 extra deck cards, and say banishing one face up or facedown would really hurt.

While it is very defensive, it is not very aggressive, only waiting til around the 10th level to start getting big beaters out.

(note: im going to edit it later so that the higher level monsters can be summoned while faceup in extra)

Let me know any thoughts or criticisms, any OCG errors etc. Thanks for reviewing!
