Curse of the Shadow Prison

Field Spell Card

Lore: When this card is activated: You can discard 1 card, and if you do, Special Summon 1 "Shaddoll" monster from your Deck. Each time a "Shaddoll" monster(s) is sent to the Graveyard by a card effect, place 1 Spellstone Counter on this card for each sent monster. All monsters your opponent controls lose 200 ATK for each Spellstone Counter on this card. Each time you Fusion Summon a "Shaddoll" Fusion Monster, you can remove 3 Spellstone Counters from this card to use 1 appropriate face-up monster your opponent controls as 1 of the Fusion Materials.

BD'Switchlog:
  • Sets you up with a new "Shaddoll" on activation.
  • Spellstone Counter ATK reduction works all the time now.
  • And I doubled the ATK loss.

That's not what Prior did at all, and I don't know how you got that. Here's the actual original effect:

Prior of the Ice Barrier

WATER - Level 2 - Aqua/Effect - 1000/400

If you control another "Ice Barrier" monster, you can Special Summon this card from your hand. You cannot Special Summon Level 5 or higher monsters during the turn you activate this effect. You can Tribute this card to target 1 "Ice Barrier" monster in your Graveyard, except "Prior of the Ice Barrier": Special Summon that target.

Ordeal of a Traveler

Continuous Trap If your opponent's monster declares an attack: Your opponent selects 1 random card in your hand, and declares its type (Monster, Spell, or Trap), and if they declared wrong, return the attacking monster to its original owner's hand, and your opponent cannot Summon or activate the effects of monsters with the same name as that monster until the 2nd Standby Phase after this effect resolves. Once per turn, if a monster is returned to your opponent's hand this way, you can select 1 each of a Monster, Spell, and Trap card from your Deck, and your opponent randomly selects an order for those cards to be placed on top of your Deck. You then draw 1 card.

Changelog:

●NO MISS TIMING THANKS

●Can't just re-Summon the thing or anything that shares the thing's name that turn, or use its effect. Sorry, Blue-Eyes.

●Also, if it does the thing it's supposed to, you can basically slot machine out a draw so long as you have at least 1 each of a monster, spell, and trap card left in your Deck.

Domino Effect

(Continuous Spell

If a monster you control destroys your opponent's monster by battle, you can send 1 monster you control to the Graveyard: Destroy 1 monster your opponent controls.)

Wait, then what monster did TCGPlayer show me when I searched for Prior?

Sounds like it needs you to be REALLY specific.  Either that or it just bugged on you.

Soul Reversal
Quick-Play Spell Card

Original: Return 1 Flip Effect Monster from your Graveyard to the top of your Deck.

Remake: Target 1 Flip Effect Monster in your GY; either add it to your hand, or Special Summon it in face-down Defense Position.

Let's see if we can't get another series going.  Star Seraph Scout

Star Seraph Scout
LIGHT/Fairy/Effect/Level 4/1200 ATK/1800 DEF
If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 "Star Seraph" monster from your hand. An Xyz Monster that was Xyz Summoned using 3 or more monsters, including this card on the field, as materials gains this effect.
● (Quick Effect): You can banish it. During your next Standby Phase, you can Special Summon it, then Special Summon as many "Star Seraph" monsters from your GY as possible, also you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck this turn, except Xyz Monsters.

Notes: Honestly, the Star Seraphs were cool, but they kind of failed in execution.

Next Card: Star Seraph Sage.

Star Seraph Sage

Level 4 | ATK / 1600 / DEF 1800

LIGHT | Fairy / Effect

You can reveal this card and 1 other LIGHT Fairy monster in your hand; add 1 "Star Seraph" card from your Deck to your hand. Once per turn: You can send 1 Spell/Trap Card from your hand to the GY; Special Summon 1 "Star Seraph" monster from your Deck. You can only use each effect of "Star Seraph Sage" once per turn.

  • I tried to make "Sovereignty" more viable (also it's a ROTA)
  • Can discard a Trap and SS from Deck instead.
  • Hard OPT Clause

Star Seraph Sword

LIGHT/Fairy-Type Effect Monster/Level 4/1400 ATK/1000 DEF

Lore: If you control no monsters: You can reveal this card and up to 3 other Fairy monsters in your hand whose total Levels exactly equal 4, except "Star Seraph Sword"; Special Summon this card from your hand. Once per turn: You can discard 1 "Star Seraph" monster; this card gains ATK equal to the original ATK of the discarded monster, until the opponent's End Phase, also if that discarded monster in the GY has less DEF than this card, you can Special Summon it when this card is sent to the GY this turn.

BD'Switchlog:

  • Thought I'd make it easier to start off the Star Seraph fun with this Sword.
  • Discards instead of sends, so it's not dependant on the Seraph hitting the GY to gain the ATK.
  • Plus, it interacts with the Cyber Angels too-if you've got a couple "Cyber Peiti/Egg Angels", you're home free.
  • And finally, that discard Seraph comes back if it has less DEF than the Sword is Star Seraph Scale or Scepter, which forward combos all on their lonesome as well.

Feel the rest of the Seraphs stand on their own, so let's flip the script with another monster whose name starts with "S"....

Dark

Fiend/Tuner/Effect

Lv3

1200/500

If your opponent does not control any face-up monsters: This card can attack directly.

Now a level 3 so it can bypass Gravity Bind and such.

Lowered ATK and increased DEF.

Made it a Tuner to give it some added usefulness.

The card I wanna see remade is Winged Dragon of Ra (with it's proper anime effect of ATK/DEF on summon).

[spoiler=Text form:]

The Sun of God Dragon

(Divine-Beast/DIVINE/Level 10/ATK ?/DEF ?)

Effect:

Requires 3 Tributes to Normal Summon (cannot be Normal Set). This card's Normal Summon cannot be negated. When Normal Summoned, other cards and effects cannot be activated. This card's ATK and DEF become the combined ATK and combined DEF of the Tributed monsters, respectively. During the turn this card is special summoned from the GY: This card can attack all monsters your opponent controls, once each. Once per turn, during the End Phase, if this card was Special Summoned: Send it to the GY. Neither player can target this card with card effects. Pay 1000 Life Points: Banish 1 monster on the field. This card cannot be destroyed the turn you activate this effect You can pay any multiple of 100 LP; this card gains ATK and DEF equal to the amount of LP paid. You can Tribute 1 or more monsters on your side of the field to increase the ATK and DEF of this card equal to the ATK of the Tribute(s). Cannot be tributed.

Notes:

A more direct adaptation of the effects from the Anime/Manga.

Next: Geargiano

Geargiano

EARTH/Machine-Type Effect Monster/Level 3/500 ATK/1000 DEF

Lore: You can Tribute this card, then target 1 Level/Rank 4 Machine monster in your GY; Special Summon it, but it has its effects negated unless it is a "Geargia" monster, also you can apply its effects that activate when it is flipped face-up (if any). This effect becomes a Quick Effect if you control "Geargiano MK-II", "Geargiano MK-III", or a Machine Xyz Monster.

BD'Switchlog:

  • Oooh look now its something that Geargia that can activate Ancor, Arsenal and Attacker's effects.
  • And it's Quick if the other Geargianos or Gear Xyzes are up.

Proof of Powerlessness

If you control a Special Summoned monster: Destroy all of your opponent's face-up monsters whose Level/Rank or Link Rating is equal or lower to your monster's. Monsters you control cannot attack this turn.

Changes:

  • More flexibility with its scope, It can only pop monsters of its own kind (Ranks are not affected with the levels and viceversa, needless to say link rating), If you control mutiple SS monsters, you will need to choose 1.

Elemental HERO Neo Bubbleman

WATER - Level 4 - Warrior/Effect - 800/1200

You can send 1 "Elemental HERO Bubbleman" from your field or Deck to the Graveyard: Special Summon this card from your hand. This card is treated as "Elemental HERO Bubbleman" while face-up on the field. At the end of the Damage Step, if this card battled your opponent's monster: Destroy the monster it battled. If this card is sent from your field to the Graveyard: You can add 1 "Elemental HERO" monster from your Graveyard to your hand, except "Elemental HERO Neo Bubbleman" (you can only activate this effect of this card's name once per turn).

Changelog:

●No longer a goddamned nomi monster.

●Changed the Summon condition: Cut out Metamorphosis entirely, and made it possible to Foolish Bubbleman.

●Gives you back any E-HERO from your Graveyard upon hitting the Graveyard itself, enabling Bubbleman's Summon condition, letting you reuse effects like Solid Soldier's, or just get back Fusion fodder if you run a Jaden-style HERO Deck. However, this is HOPT to prevent loops and shenanigans.

Gains 500 ATK for each of your banished "Grass Phantom". You can banish this card from your GY; Special Summon 1 "Grass Phantom" from your hand or GY.

LIGHT

Spellcaster/Effect

Level 4 - 1400/2000

Monsters your opponent controls cannot target face-up Spellcaster monsters for attacks and effects, except this one. Once per turn, this card cannot be destroyed by battle.

  • Now more defensive.
  • Added "cannot be destroyed by battle" clause for self defense.

Number 66: Master Key Beetle
DARK/Insect-Type Xyz Effect Monster/Rank 4/2500 ATK/800 DEF

Lore: 2 Level 4 DARK monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 material from this card, then target 1 card on the field, except this card; while this card is face-up on the field, that card(s) cannot be destroyed by card effects, also it cannot be targeted by other card effects. This is a Quick Effect if you targeted a card(s) you control with this effect last turn. If this face-up card on the field would be destroyed by battle or card effect, you can send 1 card targeted by this effect to the GY instead.

BD'Switchlog:
  • So now the effect becomes Quick if you keep the targetings to your side of the field.
  • And the protection also prevents stuff from being targeted by other stuff.
  • And it expands to the entire field, not just cards you control.

Tackle Crusader

If this card is sent to the GY: You can activate 1 of these effects, also when that effect resolves, Special Summon this card, but banish it when it leaves the field.

● Target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; change that target to face-down Defense Position.

● Target 1 face-up Spell/Trap Card your opponent controls; return that target to the hand. This turn, your opponent cannot activate cards with the same name as the card returned to the hand by this effect.

You can only Special Summon "Tackle Crusader" once per turn.

Evolsaur Terias:

FIRE/Dinosaur-Type Effect Monster/Level 6/2400 ATK/600 DEF

Lore: If you control a Reptile or Dragon monster, but do not control any monsters whose ATK is lower than their original ATK (Quick Effect): You can Special Summon this card from your hand or GY. When this card is Special Summoned by the effect of an "Evoltile" monster: This card loses 500 ATK, then all non-Dinosaur monsters on the field lose 1000 ATK, except Xyz Monsters. You can only use each effect of "Evolsaur Terias" once per turn.

BD'Switchlog:

  • Oh look, a good reason for it to lose ATK now-to make up for its bonkers-easy Summoning conditions.
  • And now every non-Dinosaur non-Xyz monster on the field takes twice the hit too.
  • Also, that effect to Summon is quick, so if you need a quick drop of the opponent's power plays, Terias is now your main man.

Each player can only control up to 5 cards. Send all other cards they control to the GY.

  • Turn into a Gozen/rivalry floodgate, although this can still let you play to an extent and the controller plays with a handicap since its 1 less card they can use.

DARK
Dragon/Synchro/Effect

10/4000/4000

1 DARK Tuner + 1 non-Tuner Dragon monster

Cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects. When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard: You can activate this effect; this card can make a second attack on an opponent's monster in a row. Once per turn: You can target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; its ATK becomes half its current ATK, and if it does, inflict damage to your opponent equal to that lost ATK.

At least put it on par with other evil!duel dragons. The pop doesn't need to be a quick effect, but it baffles as to how the standby phase comes into play.

EARTH

Spellcaster/Effect

Level 6 - ?/?

This card's ATK and DEF are equal to its Level x 400. During each of your Standby Phases, increase the Level of this card by 1 (max 12). When the Level of this card increases, inflict 400 damage to your opponent for each Level this gard gains. While this card's Level 9 or more, this card cannot be destroyed by battle, or targeted by card effects.

Huh. With Astram around, that's actually pulling its weight now. But alas....

Ib the World Chalice Priestess

WATER/Spellcaster-Type Link Effect Monster/Link-2/1400 ATK

All monsters your opponent controls lose 600 ATK for each monster this card points to. This linked card cannot be destroyed by battle, also your opponent cannot target this linked card with card effects. If a card or effect is activated that would destroy a card(s) you control, while you control this Link Summoned card (Quick Effect): You can make that effect become: "Destroy 1 "World Chalice" Spellcaster monster you control.". If this card is sent from the field to the GY: You can Special Summon 1 "World Chalice" monster from your hand.

BD'Switchlog:

  • This time, for a slight ATK reduction, this works to drop the ATK of your opponent's monster.
  • Also, it protects ALL cards you've got with its sacrifice-at the cost of it being Link Summoned.
  • And since it works on turning effects into destruction, the "World Legacy Discovery" has more utility.

Emes the Infinity

LIGHT - Level 7 - Machine/Effect - 2500/2000

If a Special Summoned monster you control is destroyed: You can Special Summon this card from your hand. If this card destroys your opponent's monster by battle: Increase this card's ATK by 700. If this card is in your Graveyard after being sent there from the field, and its ATK was at least 700 higher than its original ATK: You can Special Summon this card from your Graveyard. You can only Summon 1 "Emes the Infinity" this way per turn.

Changelog:

●Did your opponent pop your thing? Now you get a big beater.

●Now fits its "Infinity" label better by having a HOPT revival so long as its ATK was significantly boosted the last time it was on the field. Basically, swing over something, use this guy as cheap Link Material, then bring him back.

Backfire

Normal Trap

During the End Phase, if a face-up FIRE monster(s) you control was destroyed and sent to the GY this turn: Inflict 500 damage to your opponent for each monster destroyed. You can only activate one "Backfire" per turn.

Changes:

  • Now a Normal Trap instead of Continuous.
  • Reworked the effect, while keeping the same idea of "burn damage for dead FIRE monsters". Instead of doing gradual damage to the opponent, it blows up in their face all at once at the end of the turn, and they'll really feel like their plans have backfired! ....i'll see myself out

When an effect resolves that was activated by a card that was on your opponent's side of the field, they must discard 1 card of the same Type(Monster-Spell-Trap), or the effect is negated.

  • Negation effect has expanded.
  • Optional clause removed. It is now a must.
