Fabled Gallabas
LIGHT/Fiend/Effect/Level 4/1500 ATK/800 DEF
During your Main Phase: You can discard 1 "Fabled" monster, then target 1 card on the field; destroy it. If this card leaves the field: You can target 1 "Fabled" Tuner monster in your GY; add it to your hand. You can only use each effect of "Fabled Gallabas" once per turn.

Notes: Now this actually benefits the Deck. It's a discard outlet that can recycle upon going away.

Next Card: Fabled Miztoji

Fabled Miztoji

LIGHT
Fiend/Tuner/Effect

2/400/200

If this card is sent from the hand to the GY: You can target 1 "Fabled" monster you control; apply 1 of the following effects. You can only use this effect of "Fabled Miztoji" once per turn.
- That target is treated as a Tuner this turn.

- Special Summon 1 "Fabled" monster from your GY with a different Level than that target.

The tuner effect seems relatively harmless, so it's worth keeping, but rather than doing a manual discard, it's instead a trigger effect to synergize with the discard outlets that the archetype provides. We like to synchro summon, so the second effect fills in the missing pieces to make that happen if you already have a Tuner.

Fabled Ashenveil

Fabled Ashenveil
LIGHT/Fiend/Effect/Level 4/1600 ATK/1200 DEF
If a "Fabled" monster you control attacks or is attacked, during damage calculation (in either player's turn): You can discard 1 "Fabled" monster once per battle; it gains ATK/DEF equal to the ATK of the discarded monster during that damage calculation only.

Notes: Now the archetype has a way of dealing with big threats, since many of their monsters don't have battling effects. You just need to have Ashenveil on the field and ammunition in your hand.

Next Card: Fabled Urustos

Fabled Urustos
LIGHT | Fiend / Effect

Level 4 | ATK 1500 / DEF 200
If this card is in your GY: You can send 1 "Fabled" Tuner from your hand to the GY; Special Summon this card from your GY. You can only use this effect of "Fabled Urustos" once per turn. While you have 2 or less cards in your hand, all face-up "Fabled" monsters you control gain 400 ATK.

Fabled Leviathan

LIGHT
Fiend/Synchro/Effect

10/3000/2000

1 "Fabled" Tuner + 1 or more "Fabled" monsters

Once per turn, if a card/effect is activated that would target a "Fabled" monster you control; you can discard 1 card; move this card to a Main Monster Zone you control and if you do, you can negate that effect. If you have 2 or less cards in your hand: you can Tribute 1 other "Fabled" monster; Special Summon, from your Deck, a number of "The Fabled" monsters with different names and Levels from the Tributed monster, up to an amount equal to the Level of the tributed monster. You can only use this effect of "Fabled Leviathan" once per turn. If this card is destroyed and sent to the GY: Target 3 "Fabled" monsters in your GY; add them to the hand.

Gave it some boss features to give it some power and add to the deck's theme of "discard things, swarm a bunch", by giving a (somewhat) useful protection effect that doubles as a discard outlet, while also playing into the art by granting it the ability to make those little derpy imp things (the Fabled), and also, like Miztoji, its existing effect is fine to keep around.

Fabled Valkyrus
LIGHT | Fiend / Synchro / Effect
Level 8 | ATK 2900 / DEF 1700

1 "Fabled" Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters
When this card is Synchro Summoned, if you have 2 or less cards in your hand: You can target up to 2 "Fabled" monsters in your GY (1 Tuner and 1 non-Tuner); add those targets to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Fabled Valkyrus" once per turn. Once per turn: You can discard 1 Fiend monster; add 1 "Fabled" card from your Deck to your hand.

Next Card: Fabled Unicore

The Fabled Unicore

Level 4 LIGHT Fiend Synchro/Effect

You can discard 1 "Fabled" Monster from your Hand, then declare 1 card type (Monster, Spell, or Trap); the effects of all face-up cards your opponent controls with the same card type are negated and cannot be activated until the End Phase. For the rest of the turn after this effect resolves, the first time this turn your opponent activates a card effect with the Same Card Type, negate that effect and if you do, destroy it. If you control only Fiend Monsters, this effect becomes a Quick-Effect during your turn only. You can only use each effect of "The Fabled Unicore" once per turn.

ATK/2300 DEF/1000

Changes:

  • A complete overhaul of the entire thing.
  • A more flexible way to negate effects that works with the archetype's tendency to discard cards and is based on a card type instead of everything
  • A Second Negation of the same card type after the first field negation
  • Becomes Quick-Effect during your turn if you control only Fiends
  • Hard OPT to prevent abuse.

The Fabled Kudabbi

LIGHT
Beast/Synchro/Effect

4/2200/1100

1 "Fabled" Tuner + 1+ non-Tuners

You can only control 1 "The Fabled Kudabbi". If this card is sent from the field to the GY: target 1 "Fabled" monster in your GY, add it to the hand. If you added a "The Fabled" monster this way, you can add a "The Fabled" monster with a different Level from your Deck to your hand. You can only use this efffect of "The Fabled Kudabbi" once per turn. Apply the following effects, based on the number of cards in your hand:
2- : "Fabled" monsters you control cannot be destroyed by your opponent's card effects.

1- : "Fabled" monsters you control cannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects.

0: "Fabled" monsters you control cannot be destroyed by battle.

The "kill yourself at end phase" thing is dumb, that got scratched. Instead, Kudabbi rewards you for having less cards in your hand by giving better protection the less you have. Also gave it a recycling effect that rewards you for playing The Fableds in your Fabled deck. Also, this card introduces the concept of X- (read X minus) as an opposite to TCG's recent usage of X+ to replace "X or more". Hopefully that's easily readable.

The Fabled Peggulsus

Level 1 LIGHT Fiend/Tuner

If this card is discarded to the GY, you can Special Summon 1 "Fabled" Monster from your Deck, also you can only Special Summon Fiend Monsters for the rest of the turn. If this card is Special Summoned, you can reveal 1 "Fabled" Monster from your Hand; send 1 "Fabled" monster from your Deck to the Graveyard, and if you do, this card's level becomes that monster's level.

ATK/100 DEF/1600

Changes:

[*]When To If

[*]Special Summons Fabled Monster from Deck

[*]Activates effect on Special Summon

[*]Changes level To sent monster's.

Fraud Freeze
Trap/Continuous
Once per turn, when your opponent Special Summons a monster(s) from the hand (except during the Damage Step): You can return to the hand all monsters your opponent controls that were Special Summoned from the hand. If you do not control a "Flower Cardian" monster, send this card to the GY. During your Main Phase, except the turn this card was sent to the GY, if you control a face-up "Flower Cardian" monster: You can banish this card from your GY; You can excavate the top 5 cards of your Deck, and if you do, place them on the top and/or bottom of your Deck in any order. You can only use this effect of "Fraud Freeze" once per turn.

Notes: Now it needs just a single Flower Cardian, not a Synchro, and when in the Grave, it can help stack the Deck specifically for the Flower Cardians to ensure that your next few draws are exactly what you want.

Next Card: Let's go back to Fableds. Fabled Ragin.

Fabled Ragin

LIGHT
Fiend/Synchro/Effect

5/2300/1800

1 "Fabled" Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner monsters

If this card is Synchro Summoned, and you have 1- cards in hand: draw until you have 2 cards. Once per turn (Quick Effect): you can discard 1 Fiend and target 1 Fiend you control; that target gains ATK equal to the discarded monster's, until the end of this turn.

Honestly I feel like Ragin was fine as is, so I gave it a quick beatstick effect. They ARE supposed to be Legion, it makes sense that it would have the power of at least one other Fiend.

The Fabled Kokkator
LIGHT/Beast/Effect/Level 4/1700 ATK/1500 DEF
Gains ATK equal to the difference between the number of cards in your opponent's hand and the number of cards in your hand x 100. When this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent: You can discard 1 card; draw 1 card.

Notes: Now it can not only become bigger, but it's a slightly better Brron.

The Fabled Rubyruda

Level 4 LIGHT Fiend Tuner/Effect

When an opponent's monster declares an attack: You can Special Summon this card from your hand. When a "Fabled" Monster you control is targeted for an attack, you can discard 1 card: Negate the attack.

ATK/1100 DEF/800

Changes:

  • Special Summons from hand if attacked
  • Protects any Fabled Monster on the field
  • Discards any card to negate attack

LIGHT

Fiend/Effect

6/2200/2100

If this card is in your GY; you can discard 2 cards; Special Summon this card from your GY. You can discard this card; Special Summon 1 "Fabled" monster from your hand.

Why it says SEND when the whole deck is about DISCARDING is beyond me. Also, let's get it into the GY to start that hand shrinking.

Also, I'm actually quite fine with The Fabled still being beasts, idk why we're retconning them to fiends.

The Fabled Ganashia

The Fabled Ganashia
LIGHT/Beast/Effect/Level 3/1600 ATK/200 DEF
If this card is sent from the hand to the GY: You can Special Summon it, and if you do, it gains 200 ATK. You can only Special Summon "The Fabled Ganashia" once per turn this way. A Synchro Monster that was Summoned using this card on the field as Synchro Material gains this effect.
● Once per turn (Quick Effect): You can discard 1 "Fabled" monster; it gains 200 ATK/DEF x the Level of the discarded monster until the End Phase.

Notes: Now this is so much more useful. It actually encourages using other Synchros to integrate them into the Fabled strategy.

Next Card: Let's go back to a favorite archetype of mine. T.G. Power Gladiator.

T.G. Power Gladiator

EARTH/Warrior/Synchro/Tuner/Level 5/Effect

2300/1000

1 Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner "T.G." monsters

If this card is Synchro Summoned: Target 1 face-up monster on the field; change it to face-down Defense Position. If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent. If this card on the field is destroyed: Draw 1 card.

Now it's a better counterpart to Wonder Magician: disrupt monsters and is Summonable by Needlefiber.

Samsara, Dragon of Rebirth

DARK - Level 5 - Dragon/Synchro/Effect - 100/2600

1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters

If this card is Special Summoned, or if this card is destroyed by your opponent's card (by battle or card effect): You can target 1 monster in either player's Graveyard; Special Summon that target. If this card is used as Material for a Synchro Summon, you can banish 1 Tuner monster used in that Summon from your Graveyard: Special Summon this card from your Graveyard. You can only activate each effect of "Samsara, Dragon of Rebirth", once per turn.

Changelog:

●Monster Reborn effect triggers when it comes out, not just when it dies, so it can advance your plays immediately.

●Neat new HOPT revival effect if you use it as Synchro Material, so you can continuously go off.

Meklord Army of Wisel

Level 4 DARK Machine/Effect

If your opponent controls a Monster Special Summoned from the Extra Deck, you can Special Summon this card from your Hand. You can only Special Summon "Meklord Army of Wisel" once per turn this way. If a "Meklord" monster you control attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent. Once per turn: You can destroy 1 "Meklord" card you control or in your hand, and if you do, add 1 "Meklord" card from your Deck to your Hand.

ATK/1800 DEF/0

Changes:

  • Cyber Dragon against Extra Deck Monsters
  • Gives piercing to all meklord Monsters
  • Searches Meklord cards for destruction

TGX300
Spell/Continuous
During your Main Phase: You can target 1 "T.G." Synchro Monster in your Extra Monster Zone; move it to an unoccupied Main Monster Zone, and if you do, add 1 Level 4 or lower "T.G." monster from your Deck or GY to your hand. You can only use this effect of "TGX300" once per turn. All face-up monsters you control gain 300 ATK/DEF for each "T.G." monster you control. You can only control 1 "TGX300".

Notes: Now it's a Raidraptor - Nest for the archetype that also clears room for more Synchro plays. BTW, each of the Tech Genus support cards are named in such a way that they say what their effects are, so I retained the original effect, but revamped it a little.

Next Card: T.G. Recipro Dragonfly.

T.G. Recipro Dragonfly

WIND
Insect/Synchro/Effect

2/300/300

1 Tuner + 1+ non-Tuners

If this card is Synchro Summoned: You can target 1 "T.G." Synchro monster in your GY; Special Summon it. Once per turn: you can target 1 of your Synchro Summoned "T.G." monsters; Special Summon, from your GY, that target's Synchro Materials, also you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck for the rest of the turn, except "T.G." monsters.

Xenophobia clause feels kind of necessary since any deck that can field monsters makes too many links, but having the soft OPT means that you can work your way into blade blaster or halberd cannon faster.

Speaking of, let's talk about T.G. Blade Blaster

T.G. Blade Blaster
EARTH/Machine/Synchro/Effect/Level 10/3300 ATK/2200 DEF
1 Tuner Synchro Monster + 1+ non-Tuner Synchro Monsters
When your opponent activates a Spell/Trap Card or effect (Quick Effect): You can send 1 card from your hand to the GY; negate the activation, and if you do, banish it. During your opponent's turn (Quick Effect): You can banish 1 "T.G." monster from your GY; banish this face-up card on the field. During the next Standby Phase after this card was banished: Special Summon this card. If this card leaves the field, except by its own effect: You can target 1 of your banished "T.G." monsters; Special Summon it. You can only use this effect of "T.G. Blade Blaster" once per turn.

Notes: Made this guy a lot more formidable. Now he can negate any S/T, can dodge stuff with his self-banish effect, and if he dies or is used as a Synchro Material, he gives you a revive.

Next Card: T.G. Halberd Cannon. Let's make him a viable alternative to Shooting Quasar Dragon.

T.G. Halberd Cannon

Level 12 | EARTH | Machine | Synchro | Effect

4000 | 4000

1 Tuner Synchro Monster + 2+ non-Tuner Synchro Monsters

Must be Synchro Summoned. Once per turn, if a monster(s) would be Summoned or activates its effect (Quick Effect): You can negate the Summon or effect, and if you do, banish that monster, face-down. When this card is sent from the field to the GY: You can Special Summon 1 Level 10 or lower Synchro Monster from your Extra Deck or GY, ignoring Summoning conditions, and if you do, it cannot be targeted or destroyed by your opponent's effects until the end of your next turn.

Changelog:

  • Can negate effect activations and banishes face-down instead of destroying.
  • Similar revival thing to Quasar (and some retention of its original effect), except provides effect protection. (So if you wanted to revive a dead Blade Blaster, you can. Chronicle revive? Alright.)

What other T.G. cards can be remade that weren't already done?

I guess T.G. Jet Falcon or something.

WIND | Level 3 | Winged-Beast | Tuner | Effect

When this card is Normal Summoned, reveal 1 "T.G." monster in your hand; Special Summon 1 other "T.G." monster from your deck with the same Level as the monster revealed. If this card is sent to the GY as Synchro Material: inflict 300 damage times this card's Level and the other monster(s) Level used as material. You can only activate this effect once per duel.

Change log:

+ Normal Summon effect that Special Summons out another T.G. main deck monster

+ more burn damage based on Level

- reduced burn damage amount by 200

Tindangle Acute Cerberus
DARK/Fiend/Link/Effect/0 ATK/LINK-3
N, SE, SW
2+ Fiend monsters, including a "Tindangle" monster
If this card is Link Summoned: You can Set 1 Spell/Trap Card from your Deck that specifically lists the "Tindangle" archetype in its card text. Gains 500 ATK for each "Tindangle" monster in your GY, and for each monster this card points to. While "Tindangle Base Gardna" is in your GY, this card cannot be banished or returned to the Extra Deck by your opponent's card effects, also it cannot be Tributed. At the end of the Battle Phase, if this card battled: You can Special Summon 1 "Tindangle Token" (Fiend/DARK/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0).

Notes: Now it actually supports the various S/T cards, and while it isn't a big beatstick, it can keep getting bigger.

Next Card: Let's go back to T.G.s. T.G. Catapult Dragon.

T.G. Catapult Dragon

Level 2 EARTH Dragon/Effect

Once per turn, you can Special Summon 1 "T.G." Monster from your Hand and if you do, you can treat that Monster as a Tuner until the End Phase. During the End Phase, if this card is in the Graveyard because it was destroyed on the field and sent there this turn: You can add 1 "T.G." monster from your Deck to your hand, except "T.G. Catapult Dragon".

ATK/900 DEF/1300

Changes:

  • No level restriction of Goblindergh effect.
  • Allows option of turning Monster into Tuner for immediate Synchro Summon
  • Prerequiste "T.G." Floating effect.
