Ryuu Ookami
LIGHT - ******** - Wyrm/Effect - 2900/1200
If your opponent Special Summons a monster(s): They send 1 card from their Extra Deck to the Graveyard.

[spoiler=Trivia]This card has the highest ATK among all Wyrm-Type monsters so far.
This monster's name is a pun in Japanese: both the Kanji 大神 (great god) and 狼 (wolf) pronounce "Ookami".
Each shoulder of this monster has half of a Torii, a traditional Japanese gate most commonly found at the entrance of or within a Shinto shrine.
This, alongside this monster's wolf-like design, may represent one of the roles wolves have in Japanese Mythology: farmers once worshiped them and left offerings at shrines in order to them to protect the crops against wild animals.

[spoiler=Tips]This card can be searched by "Temple of the Kings", "Dogu", "Single Purchase", "Transmodify", "Painful Escape", "Chaos Zone", "Dracocension", "Unmasked Dragon", "Yazi, Evil of the Yang Zing" and "Chaofeng, Phantom of the Yang Zing".
This card can work well against Pendulum-reliant Decks. Since Pendulum Monsters are sent to the Extra Deck whenever they would be sent from the field to the Graveyard, this card's effect can send them to the Graveyard, preventing them from being Pendulum Summoned on a later turn.

Thought it might be nice to post the Tips and Trivia section from the YGOWiki for the discussion. Thoughts?

Honestly, a fair number of Tips you find in the Wikia are Captain Obvious-tier. I'd weed out these silly tips myself, but that's a lot of weeding to do.

Decent card, might be slightly problematic in the early turns since the opponent will need to deprive themselves of future Extra Deck options to play normally. But getting it out on turn 1 is a slight challenge, when you consider the opportunity cost involved.

Card would be far better if you could choose what card they sent from the ED. as it is now, it might still become something interesting depending on how wyrms develop. the archtype has some really  good stuff as far as power play monsters, but it doesn't have anything to boost consistency within the type itself. psychics gained cards that supported the types as a whole (things like feels zone, teleport, mind over matter, ect), but wyrms got none of that. if konami started actually doing something to fix that issue, this card might get a lot of use in the future.

also, the art is absolutely gorgeous.

Because Baxia

Not here, but on the subject before, I have said that the idea was make Yang Zing more archetype-dependent (see: Baxia). Yazi is the only reason, after that, because he seems like a poor card to tie to an archetype alone. He would also be more balanced, though.
