Guest BGMCANN0N
Hatched Potential Normal Spell Tribute 1 "Egg" Normal Monster or "Ryu-Ran", except "Winged Egg of New Life"; Special Summon from your Deck, 1 monster with the same Type and Attribute as that monster in the Graveyard. During the End Phase of the turn this card was activated, draw 1 card.____________________________________________________________ So I wanted to make a card that can utilize 3 unacknowledged cards that are semi-related (I sort of want these guys to be their own archetype):http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Wing_Egg_Elfhttp://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Gorgon_Egghttp://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Monster_Egg So I thought about making a card sort of related to Transmodify, but is more flexible on targets to Special Summon, and replaces card advantage to give a player more incentive to use such unorthodox Normal Monsters. GarlandChaos
Cool concept, but some things you probably weren't aware of: -This card affects Winged Egg of New Life, even though its Japanese Name, which is I believe Angel of Birth, does not contain "Egg".-Ryu-Ran's Japanese Name is "Dragon Egger", so it should be listed as a target as well. Also, wording seems about right, but needs some minor adjustments: Tribute 1 "Egg" Normal Monster or "Ryu-Ran", except "Winged Egg of New Life": Special Summon, from your deck, 1 Monster with the same Type and Attribute as that monster in the Graveyard. During the End Phase of the turn this card was activated, draw 1 card. I was actually going to make a very similar card to this one at some point, but it slipped my mind. In terms of use, though, I can see it used in Melodious with Unexpected Dai and Wing Egg Elf teched in to set up the lock. I like it, and am looking forward to seeing similar cards of yours. goodfusion
Gorgon Egg being searchable by Tour Guide From the Underworld/Scarm, Malebranch of the Burning Abyss makes it pretty easy to search out in Fiend-Type decks. Summoning Archlord Kristya off Wing Egg Elf seems evil. In something like Ritual Heralds, which already use Normal Monsters in some builds for Advanced Ritual Art, this could be very effective. The card is certainly powerful thanks to it not being Level restricted in any way and the delayed draw making it into +0, however it requires you to run a probably otherwise useless Normal Monster, and this card is completely useless if you don't have that monster out. That being said, it still has some potentially very powerful interactions and it certainly seems like a fun card to build around. On last question: Does this work with "Three-Legged Zombies"? You might want to put an "except "Three-Legged Zombies"" clause in there if it isn't intended.
Guest BGMCANN0N
Good question on the Three-Legged Zombie thing... I'm going to look at some other card's that specify a name group that might have encountered this problem to get some clarification on whether I need to actually fix that or not. I think the OCG name on Three-Legged Zombie distinguished itself from the "Egg" Normal Monsters, and I sort of don't want to expand the exception clause because of how ridiculous one card looks with a huge exceptions list on it: http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Arsenal_Summoner But, I guess I want to make it more exclusive to things that actually have the word "Egg" by itself.. Instead of "Three-Legged Zombie" being some out of theme Easter Egg for the card... Though I'm sure the Dark Zombie-Type card pool isn't as threatening as the Light Fairy or Dark Fiend card pool if I were to include "Three-Legged Zombie" in the deal.
