The large armored figure ignored the rest of Team CMLT's jeers and criticisms and activated a holographic display on the arm of the gauntlet of the suit, punching in some commands. Back at the school, one of the many rocket-powered deployment lockers came online, locked into the coordinates that it had just been given, and fired up, catapulting itself in a burst of Dust-based propellant up into the sky to fly towards the testing site, just within its range. A few moments later, as CMLT prepared to deploy, the locker landed down, and opened up to reveal a series of hydraulic arms with tools on the end, as well as replacement parts for the armor in front of it. Tamsyn stepped to the newly-folded-out repair and rearming station, and placed the feet of the suit into a pair of receivers that clamped down onto the suit's feet. The arms immediately got to work, scanning for the damage to the armor and removing the pieces of the ablative plating that were hurt by the fight, as well as critical sections that revealed looped rings and slots. The arms then pulled out belts of what appeared to be very small and very fine multicolored metal arrowheads from the locker, and started to wrap them around Tamsyn's lower arms and along her back into the bands and slots before replacing the armor and doing checks to make sure their maker was ready for combat once more. Tamsyn was freed from the clamps around the feet of the armor by the automated systems in the locker, and figured that the locker would be jabronied about by people. The armor-wielding student reached up to the helmet of the suit, and placed gloved hands against the polarized faceplate to turn it slightly and unlock the helmet.

Uekleva looked over her partner, not too impressed. While he was big and looked tough, she had seen some of her brothers and sisters back on Grimm Hunter: Apprenticeship who looked ready to tear the jungle a new arsehole, and couldn't take the pressure. Cockiness and attitude weren't everything. You had to be mentally prepared to handle the rigors of being a Huntsman or Huntress. But she greeted him politely, her demeanor calm and polite. "Uekleva Gill, Huntress-in-traynin'. A pleshah ta meike yer acqueitence, Reiner." She was about to learn more about her new partner, but she heard movement, and reached down to a pair of leather holsters against her thighs. "Contect." She said smoothly and calmly as a septet of Creeps, local reptilian Grimm if she remembered correctly, emerged to take on the trainees. While not very large, they were surprisingly nimble for their awkward appearance.

Which is why she pulled out what appeared to be a pair of oversized bladed boomerangs with some mechanical parts inlaid, pressing a button to reveal what the parts did as the blades parted at the edges to reveal a powerful pistol. She then rolled to dodge the claw of one of the Creeps, throwing her boomerang-mode Talon at a second Creep while firing her pistol-mode Talon at a third. The second Creep dodged the boomerang, but the throwing weapon curved around a tree to loop back and smack it in the back of the head, causing it to fall over and plow into the sand, dazed, but not out of the fight just yet. Meanwhile, the small arms fire did manage to wound a Creep that staggered back behind the rest of the pack, but Uekleva was still outnumbered 5 to 1, and could use some backup. She tossed her boomerang again, hoping the trick might work twice while she double-tapped the fallen Creep. 4 to 1 was better, but only slightly, and Reiner appeared to be grappling with the pack's leader. "A lil' help?!?" She cried out to her partner.

The helmet came off, revealing, as opposed to the masculine synthesized voice of the armor, a pale feminine face framed by dark blue hair and an inner mechanical reinforcement system against her jawline. Dark-grey eyes briefly close to relish the breeze against her skin before opening again to look to her teammates as she speaks. "We can fight this. We've fought a Ground Dweller before. Let's show the juniors how real Huntsmen and Huntresses handle a problem." She then turns to their instructor and adds. "I will pick up the locker on the way back and take it back to school myself." Already, the locker was closing itself back up, thanks to the program Tamsyn had installed on its mechanical occupant. She then put her helmet back on as the synthesized voice returned, looking back to her comrades on the launchers. "Ready to roll." She started forward, picking up speed as she headed down the slope into a full-on sprint back towards the nest, secondary systems in her helmet already monitoring the positions of the rest of Team CMLT. Soon, they tracked the launch trajectories, and increased her speed thanks to small but powerful thrusters on her back, usually used for jumping, to barrel through the jungle and swamp towards the objective.

By fate, happenstance, a lazy writer dealing with behind-the-scenes issues, or whatever force governs the interactions of individuals, Carmilla was stirred awake by a sound, and she groggily sat up and opened her eyes just in time to see a yellow and grey...blur...charging through the jungle, destroying undergrowth in its wake. This snapped her out of her sleepy haze and brought her to full alert, fighting off her desire to go back and continue resting against the hillside, and caused her to look around and collect herself. "Hello?" She nervously called out, starting to move and see if she could spot anyone from on top of the hill. "Anyone there...?"

Skyler was still frantically frisking herself for a Mulligan Incisor to arm herself with, and recoiled as she realized she touched her own breast. However, she felt around and discovered what must've been her last one fitting snuggly underneath the front of her tube top, and pulled it out... fixing the top itself in the process.

“K, I'm r-ready,” a timid Skyler stated, 'I really need to forge more of these when this is over.'

All in technicality, the Mulligan Incisors belonged to Malachi originally, but Skyler had gone through so many of the things during her time at Mirage Academy that she became an expert at forging her very own, and because of that, she felt a lot more comfortable wielding them than she did when she first touched the cursed things. However, that wasn't going to be enough. Skyler would have to learn to kill the creatures of Grimm in order to save herself from the White Fang, and the King Taijitus in front of her would be a tall order. Thankfully she still had Zachariah nearby to help her thin the numbers down. All she needed was a plan... preferably one that could be hatched fast.

“Um... h-here goes! HHHYYYAAA!!” Skyler slashed in a half-circular motion, trying to connect with as many of the snake-like Grimm as she could. She managed to get three of them at once, though none of them had taken any damage that they couldn't shrug off. Next, Skyler slid her way past them and ran as fast as she could, looking back only to ensure the three King Taijitu that she had struck were on her and her alone, while Zachariah deal with the last remaining one. The idea was that Skyler would keep them occupied to the best of her ability whilst Zachariah took them down one at a time. If the King Taijitus were reckless enough to hit each other with their attacks each time Skyler bobbed and weaved through them, then that would only make it even easier for Zachariah in the long run. However, this kind of strategy would require a lot of stamina on Skyler's end in particular, and if that were to diminish on her at any point in time, then her life would go down with it. It was all up to Zachariah now.

...

Zachariah continued to hold the Savage Defender in front of him, waiting for the King Taijitu in front of him to make a move. But it was a patient Grimm; it was not going to attack him until it found a way past that dreaded hunk of metal called a shield and onto his vulnerable flesh. However, Zachariah wasn't going to wait around. He flicked the Ghostwalker, it immediately transforming from a trident to a submachine gun as he did so, and sprayed ammunition onto the white half's head. The attack had lead to the black half trying to reach over the Savage Defender, but Zachariah held it over his head a little more to counteract the attempted strike. The white half of the King Taijitu had since retaliated and tried to sweep underneath while it had the chance, but Zachariah saw that coming and heaved himself over it using the Savage Defender while it had been caught in the black half's fangs, before dropping onto the other head and transforming the Ghostwalker back into its trident form in preparation for a solid stab in the eye.

Sure enough, the Nevermore immediately responded to Jillian's and Lectrie's respective presences, firing a wave of feathers from its wings that could cut through any exposed flesh. However, the Crested Vaporizer easily maneuvered itself around every single one of those feathers, and Lectrie had fired a rocket from her hollowed Doom Spire in retaliation... although that too had missed its mark. Frustrated, Lectrie shot again, and this time the rocket slammed into its beak.

“YES!! I got it!” Lectrie celebrated, although perhaps a little prematurely, “Alright then, once more with feeling.”

The Nevermore soared overhead and tried to grasp both girls with its talons, but the closest it had got to seizing either of them was that it had knocked Jillian's witch hat backwards a little, and she was quick to recover it. Lectrie fired a third rocket, which again was thrown off-course due to the Crested Vaporizer's movements, before finally deciding that she had enough. This time, Jillian willed the Crested Vaporizer to hover over the Nevermore as it flew vertically in an attempt to ram the girls off the cursed thing. With the Doom Spire beginning to narrow and solidify itself, Lectrie simply unwrapped her legs from the Crested Vaporizer's shaft and laid back far enough that she'd relinquish all balance she had and drop from the sky. At the last second though, she managed to grab onto the Nevermore's tail feathers, and while she was hanging on for dear life with one hand, she gave the avian Grimm a few solid whacks with the Doom Spire wielded in the other. But Jillian had a better idea than that.

“You're doing great, Lectrie; keep it up!” Jillian called out in encouragement, before proceeding to prepare her secret weapon.

Team CMLT had gathered around the nest that three of their chagrin had been shot towards, and would eventually see a Ground Dweller coming from several miles away. This one was infinitely larger than any that the senior students would've faced before, and would most certainly be harder to fell. This Ground Dweller didn't seem to be out for blood just yet; it had merely been patrolling the outskirts of its nest for intruders, and was on its way back to ensure that none of them had sneaked past its line of sight and attacked the eggs whilst they were vulnerable. However, on its way back, it detected presence that was not meant to be there.

...

So the Ground Dweller immediately burrowed its way under the sand, digging through it at a hurried pace. These bastard intruders thought they could sneak around it and attempt an attack on its nest, did they? Or perhaps their intention was to feign such an attempt just so they had its attention. Whatever the case, if the intruders weren't careful, then they wouldn't even live long enough to regret their foolish decision. They thought they could get the jump on the Ground Dweller moments ago. Now it was the Ground Dweller's turn to get the jump on them. The intruders would likely notice the sand shifting underneath their feet, indicating that the Ground Dweller was about to surface again. But even if they tried to act on it, the Ground Dweller would adjust its own position accordingly, all but guaranteeing that it would bust through the center of the intruders and force them apart. Finally, as its whole body made itself above ground again, it stared down at all these insects below.

That would be its warning: Get away from the nest, or die by the Adult Ground Dweller's pincers.

"Listen...I-I know hitting the Death Stalker head on isn't going to help...but try and aim for a weak spot!"

Ari rolled her eyes. Of course it wouldn't do much, but she didn't have much time to focus her shots as she was running. When Eton stopped, she has half a mind to just leave him there. She knew she could go invisible again if she so desired, but she stuck around a bit longer. He turned around and stopped running, to her shock. He aimed his fingers at it, then moved his thumb, eliciting an explosion as 2 fire dust rounds managed to hit its joints. It was slowed, but not stopped. Ari pulled her lever, causing the dust round to switch to an electric blue.

"This better work kid." She said to him, aiming her scope on it's joints.

She pulled the trigger, and and after an electric crackling noise, a charged blue bullet his one of its 6 legs, and discharged a strong electric wave through the Deathstalker's body. She put another one in the leg right behind it, causing the same effects. Turning to him, she realized the victory was short lived. At the moment, the Deathstalker was stunned, but it wouldn't last long. In the moment she had forgotten about the Kin Taijitu trailing them.

"Wait...where is the King Taijitu?" She asked him, realizing they had lost sight of it. She looked around, and realized it was approaching them from the left. She weighed her options, and made a choice she hoped she wouldn't regret.

"Hold it off, and don't die. Put distance between the the Deathstalker, then fight it!" She barked to him, before slowly disappearing into a shimmer. She started running, probably scaring Eton. However, she had a plan. Up ahead was another putrid lake. If he could get the Taijitu close enough to it, she could surprise it with the blunt force of her rifle and knock it into the water.

"A lil' help?!?"

"No problem" He replied, and at that moment he let out a menacing battle cry. All of his muscles bulked up, and he eminted an aura of power. With blinding speed, he suddenly appeared behind one of the Grimm facing her down. He brought bac his fist, and literally punched a hole through one of the Creeps. It disintegrated around his arm. The second creep attempted to dive on him, but was met with a flying uppercut. Reiner had bounded into the air, and was up a good 15 feet. That Creep was decapitated by the force. He landed on the third one, smashing it with the force of his fall.

"I'll leave these last few to you." He said, before undoing the effects of his semblance. He was breathless, and trying to regain it. He trued her enough to deal with these last few though, while he re caught his breath,

-Caliburn-

There Team CMLT stood...face to face with the Ground Dweller. The appearance continued to make Caliburn sick, just as it did when they fought against this type of Grimm all those years ago.

He and his team just stood watching the Grimm, waiting and assessing the situation. Take the legs out...incapacitate it and make sure it stays away from the initiates. Caliburn thought, unholstering Pendragon, twirling them around his fingers for a moment.

"CMLT...commence Grimm Execution." Caliburn smirked, before moving towards the creature. "Lazuli! Mary! Blue Magic!!" he shouted to both Lazuli and Mary their combination move code name. "Tam! Monochrome!!"

[spoiler=OOC For Team CMLT]

Combinations!

Currently we have the combos of Lazuli & Mary = Blue Magic and Tam & Cal = Monochrome! If you could please, get with your partner and plan out how you want this to work. Let's make it look good ;D

-Eton-

Eton was surprised Arianna actually helped him out with the Deathstalker. He actually felt that this was starting to look u-

"Hold it off, and don't die. Put distance between the the Deathstalker, then fight it!"

"W-Wait...WHAT?!!" Eton shouted, already seeing Arianna running off in the opposite direction. Of course he didn't necessarily see the King Taijitu, but he got scared regardless. "D-Don't just leave me here with-YIKES!!!"

His sentence was cut short as he watched the Deathstalker's tail diving towards him, missing him by mere inches. This was all the invitation Eton needed to run away like a little child. "THIS....SUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS!!!" he shouted, as he ran through the glades, hearing the limping Grimm behind him doing it's best to get closer and closer.

"A-Alright..." Eton gulped, before moving his arm guards, watching as the claw features started appearing on them. He moved and grabbed a branch from one of the trees and swung off it, using the claws to steady his landing onto another tree. He had to keep his distance from this Grimm...he wanted to at least prove to the woman that he could do this...

Rohin was a bit confused. He extended his arm like he was supposed to... that was how city folk greeted each other right? Right? Rohin shook his head. Seems it wasn't the case, if the look on Fay's face was to be believed. Oh well... guess he would learn eventually.

“Mhm, we sure are!” Fay smiled brightly before creating wings of light, taking to the skies like she was an angel. Really, with the way she looked, it wouldn't surprise Rohin if she was one. She looked around, trying to see through the fog. Rohin meanwhile, kept an eye out for any Grimm, just in case the monsters tried to ambush them. Seems like there wasn't any though, as the swamp was as quiet as death. Smelled like death to... She soon landed, pointing in a direction. “I reckon we’ve been launched in this direction for a reason. So, unless you’ve got any brighter ideas, hot stuff, I’d say we get going this way, hm?” Rohin didn't really have any better ideas, really, so it was best to go along with it.

"Alright, seems like we have a plan," He said with a grin as he began to walk, humming to himself as he did. He didn't walk for long though before looking at Fay. He should get to know about his future partner. "So... does your semblence make you fly, or is there more to it...?"
