New Summoning Mechanic: Madness Summoning

Madness Monsters:

Madness Monsters are an entirely new type of monster. They’re so powerful that they warrant their own space along with special restrictions.

Restrictions:

You may only have 5 Madness Monsters when starting a Duel.

Madness Monsters go in their own special zone, called the Madness Deck. It is located to the left of the Extra Deck.

Madness Monsters begin face-down in the Madness Deck.

Madness Monsters can only be Summoned from the hand.

Madness Monsters must be Madness Summoned and cannot be Summoned in other ways.

During your Draw Phase, you have two extra options (i.e., you can draw a card as normal, OR):

1. You can turn a Madness Monster in your Madness Deck face-up

2. OR you can add 1 face-up Madness Monster from your Madness Deck to your hand.

3. If you cannot draw from your Main Deck and can only turn a Madness Monster in your Madness Deck face-up, you lose.

Madness Monsters are designed as to show the evolution of the game. Each card is four-colored. In the top right, they are purple, for Fusion. Bottom right is blue, for Ritual. Bottom left is white for Synchro. And top left is black, for Xyz. Madness Monsters have both Level and Rank, which are used to calculate their Madness ([Level * Rank] minus [Level + Rank]). Madness can be negative. When a Madness monster would be destroyed or banished (while on the field), it is placed face-down on the bottom of the Madness Deck.

Madness Summoning:

Madness Summoning is a powerful new form of Summoning. The chaotic nature and sheer power of this Summoning stops any attempts at negation (Madness Summons cannot be negated). You can only Madness Summon once per turn. Like a Ritual Monster, Madness Monsters need a card that allows them to be Summoned to be activated first before they can appear. Like a Fusion Monster, Madness Monsters take more than 1 monster to Summon. Like a Synchro, one of those monsters must be a Tuner. Madness Monsters also use Xyz monsters as Materials. Once a card allowing a Madness Summon is on the field and does not have its effect negated, you can perform a Madness Summon. In order to Madness Summon, the Madness Monster must be in your hand. Then, you must announce that you are Madness Summoning. Banish Xyz monsters (from your Extra Deck) whose Ranks equal or exceed the Rank of the Madness Monster, and at the same time, send monsters from your hand or Deck, including at least 1 Tuner, to the Graveyard whose Levels equal or exceed the Level of the Madness Monster. Then, place the Madness Monster on the field in face-up Attack Position or face-up Defense Position.

Sample:

Madness Monsters

Maddening Vortex: Level 3/Rank 2: WIND: Fiend: Madness: Effect: When this card is Madness Summoned, banish up to 3 monsters on the field. Then, this card gains Atk equal to the combined Def of the monsters banished by this effect.

Atk 3000/ Def 3000

Mad Clown: Level 6/Rank 6: DARK: Fiend: Madness: Effect: One of the cards used to Madness Summon this monster must be “Mystic Clown”. The Tuner and Xyz monsters used to Madness Summon this card must be DARK Fiend-type monsters. When this card is Madness Summoned, send two monsters on your opponent’s side of the field to the Graveyard. During the Battle Phase, when this card battles an opponent’s monster with a higher Atk, this card gains Atk equal to the difference during the Damage Step only and cannot be destroyed by that battle.

Atk 4500/ Def 4000

Madness Summon Allowing:

Rabid Wolf: EARTH: Beast: Effect: While this card is on the field, you can Madness Summon. Level 3 Atk 1000/ Def 1000

Lightning Insanity: SPELL: Quick-Play: Target 1 Thunder-Type monster on your side of the field and return it to the Deck. During the turn you activated this card, you can Madness Summon.

Snake Pit: TRAP: Continuous: When your opponent would Normal Summon a monster, you can negate the Normal Summon by discarding 1 Reptile-type monster from your hand. During your turn, you can banish 1 Reptile-type monster from your Deck. During the turn you activated this effect, you can Madness Summon.

Interesting concept!

Just a question. How would that work with them having both a Level and a Rank? I'm thinking if you could use them as Materials themselves for, lets say, an Xyz Summon or a Synchro Summon?

And also, how's the order in which your Madness Monsters are stacked in the Madness Deck decided? Should there be a rule against you putting your strongest Madness Monster on top of your Madness Deck, so that you couldn't Summon it within 2 turns and totally outplay your opponent, since they can't negate the Madness Summon?

The madness side deck should be shuffled by your opponent before the duel then after a madness summon the deck should be shuffled plus i love the concept of madness summon all i would like to say is madness monster should have something call madness points and can only be summoned by the amount of monster that have been sent to the graveyard.
