Infinite%20Fusion.png

Name: Infinite Fusion

Attribute: SPELL

Type: Continuous

Effect: (This card's name is always treated as "Polymerization".)

You cannot Special Summon monsters from your Extra Deck, except Fusion Monsters whose Levels are higher than or equal to the Level/Rank of the face-up monster you control (if any) with the highest Level/Rank. During your Main Phase: You can Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your hand or your side of the field as Fusion Materials.

Some decks like to Fusion Summon multiple times a turn, but are hindered by in doing so due to running out of effects which let them Fusion Summon ("Shaddoll" and "Lunalight" for example). In such case you could run "Fusion Gate", but that card unfortunatly banishes the materials. This card tries to fill that niche. By disallowing the summon of monsters with a lower level than you control, it becomes marginally harder to keep looping "Blaze Fenix, the Burning Bombardment Bird" and "Elemental HERO Electrum"; thus making an OTK with them much harder.

The restriction might be worded a tad poorly, but I couldn't find a good reference of an effect that is similar enough. Due to the poor wording it might be hard to tell whether or not you can Fusion Summon if you control no monsters. To clarify: The inteded effect allows you to Fusion Summon monsters of any Level if you control no monsters, or all monsters you control are face-down.

Damn that's some badass formatting. Fill us in :P

The OCG looks fine from my perspective, and this is an interesting take on Fusion Gate. The restrictions are perfectly balanced, and some decks would gladly make use of this.

With some knowledge of CSS you can use the tag with the same name to get this and similar effects. But if you don't know much about CSS, and don't want to learn it, you could quote a post to see the BBCode used to format a post (at least as far as I'm aware). Though if you do that, please don't post the quote in this thread... unless it is relevant of course.

Also nice to hear that others think the effects are balanced.
