[spoiler=Season 7 ep 1 thoughts]

Everything is playing out pretty much as expected. I think the Hound is gonna be my favourite character this season, there's just been so much development for this guy.

Was really hoping Bran could see Jon this episode but of course they're gonna make us wait. Ed Sheeran's appearance felt a bit forced, he just seems really out of place.

Yeah idk about the costume decisions this season. In comparison to season 1 where it was realism above all else.

Not even to say I don't like it, Cersei's attire is funking dope, just a bit jarring. Maybe it's especially the case since I just re-watched the show from season 1.

I was wondering what felt different to me lately over the past 2 seasons and I realized this was it.

Huh.

[spoiler=As for the last episode]

Man, that was awesome.

John and Dany gonna meet soon, only been waiting for that the past few years. I think Jorah and Sam are gonna have a buddy arc this season and leave the Citadel together and go to Dragonstone. The two ex-righthand men for two of the MCs, makes sense to me.

That was crazy with Arya, I'm wondering if her seeing her old direwolf change from time symbolically means the same for her and she'll turn around for Cersei? I hope not, I want to see a Stark reunion soon.

Euron seriously crippled Dany's plan, sheet. People at work were thinking the gift was Tyrion or the sand snakes, looks like it was the latter. Can't believe Theon did that at the end.

(except I totally can)

[spoiler=Here's the real question though]

After dealing with diarrhea-sheet and corpse liver in episode 1 and diseased pus in episode 2, what disgusting body fluid/part will Samwell Tarly encounter next week?? Perhaps he'll find dragon puke at Dragonstone...

[spoiler=Thoughts on last episode]

Thrilled at the possibility of Arya returning to Winterfell. Seeing Nymeria again was a real treat. Although I am a bit confused, didn't Arya whisper under her breath that it wasn't Nymeria after the direwolf turned around and left?

Dany's character feels different to me this season. I'm not sure what it is, and of course every season brings new challenges and greater development to each character(hopefully), but that isn't what I am getting from Dany's character. Anyone else feeling that?

Also, I feel like after Euron decimated Dany's fleet the season is going to be set up so that we see Dany's plans unravel one by one.

[spoiler=It was]

A callback to a line from season 1.

I didn't remember that far either though. I need to go back and rewatch everything before it ends.

My plan is to rewatch seasons 1-7 right before season 8 comes out, then I'll watch each episode twice up to the end. Then I'll have seen the show in its entirety twice.

[spoiler=S7E2]

These are my predictions now that we know Jon is on his way to meet Danerys.

  • Jon will struggle to convince her of the White Walkers
  • He mentions the Dragon Glass but Danerys declines because she doesn't believe Jon
  • Jon refuses to bend the knee, and they end up a stand still for an episode or two
  • Danerys ignores Tyrion because of Lady Tyrell's words for an episode or two
  • She loses another stronghold or point of contention, then reconsiders Jon's offer
  • Cercei goes on the attack and Danerys and company barely make it out
  • The White Walkers cross the border and Danerys and Jon finally work together

Dany why you gotta be a dick to my boy Jon. He just wants to save the world.

Davos best funking hypeman of all time.

[spoiler=S2E3]

*insert Danerys' perfect introduction on a badass throne with a sexy female adviser and her many names*

"This is Jon Snow."

[spoiler=Ep 3]

Lot of awesome stuff.

Jon and Dany meeting was great, I can understand people's frustrations with Dany but I think it's more unrealistic to immediately believe the prospect of a giant ice zombie army that's mostly gone unnoticed is just now about to come in and screw things up.

She'll come around.

Bran and Sansa reuniting was nice...until Bran got weird and said she looked beautiful the night she was raped.

Yeesh

Awesome final talk with Jaime and Olenna, good to see her getting the last word in. I don't think Jaime is ever going to tell Cersei going off her current mental state.

Nice play by sacrificing Casterly Rock.

[spoiler=Oh my god (Ep 4)]

I literally freaked out when I realized what Dany was going to do and even more so when she came in with her dragon and army.

That was so cool.

And my man Bronn facing down the dragon and managing to get a lick in, I thought he was a goner there, what a badass.

He might have died there...Jamie will live, but my heart was still pumping all the same when he charged Dany.

Man, Arya's awesome. I can't believe she can take Brienne now, that's crazy improvement. I'm wondering what angle Littlefinger is working right now with giving Bran that dagger. He might try killing him if he realizes how much Bran knows.

I liked Dany asking Jon for his advice and his answer even more. Lot of potential between this two and expanding on their dynamic.

I can't remember the last time I felt so anxious.

[spoiler=S7 E5]

I can't wait for Baelish to die.  At the same time, I love his character.  Also, the way Jon, the Wildlings, the Brotherhood, Jorah, and the Hound looked at each other at the end gave me some Call of Duty vibes for some reason.  It was cool af.

If a mod reads this, could we retitle the thread to just Game of Thrones or change it to Season 7?

[spoiler=705]

What a dream team. So pumped to see this crew kick some white walker ass.

Although...no way they all make it out alive. This is gonna hurt in some shape or form.

I'm surprised, I thought Jaime would hide Olenna killing Joffrey from Cersei. Ah well.

I'd actually be really interested in seeing them all temporarily setting aside differences to fight the white walkers. I think that'd be to Cersei's advantage too, fighting the White Walker army would weaken Dany's forces so she'd be easier to contend with after that's done.

[spoiler=E5 thoughts]

There were a lot of really cool moments in this episode but I gotta say their whole plan is so f***ing bad.

Tormund sums it up perfectly: We showing this to the one with dragons or the one who f***s her brother? Attempting anything with Cersei is just giving her another chance at survival and striking back and the whole plan is just so risky.

The whole squad at the end was amazing, though as Fusion said I doubt they will all come back. Jorah and Gendry just returned so it would make no sense if they died, Jon obviously won't, we still need Cleganebowl so I doubt the Hound will die either. That leaves Beric, Thoros and possibly Tormund (less likely, no one else is shown to be able to lead the wildlings so he's still needed). Maybe the reason Beric keeps coming back is to save Jon and the others or some s*** like that.
