So, a prophecy...time to decide to crack open this...cue that thinking music!

-OST-

"Once again the sun will rise, and it's wake the paths of both light and darkness shall intertwine just as they did in the very beginning. The wheel of fate shall turn again. though the two paths shall be walked by those who were never meant to be…"

The sun will rise once again, obviously this is hinting at the resurrection (at full) of Gwynn. Once his 'rise' comes to fruition, it shall open the pathways that those of the light and darkness walk along. As for the two paths being walked by those who were never meant to be...its fairly obvious. This is referring to our little rag-tag bunch of Mobians & EggBot. This is a task that none of the current group was ever meant to bear...not even the twins...even if they were trained by Silver.

"Seven beacons of hope shall be ripped from the maw of the past. Only to bleed forth the sins of he who resolves to carry their weight on his own."

Seven beacons of hope? It's obvious that this is referring to the seven Chaos Emeralds, but being ripped away from the maw of the past? It's a strange wording here. I can only theorize that this means the unearthing and the locating of them. Once again, only speculation. On the other hand, "shall be ripped from the maw of the past", perhaps there is a problem that arises...perhaps one that requires to call forth the emeralds of the past to aid the heroes. Time travel? It's a possibility...

However, "Only to bleed forth the sins of he who resolves to carry their weight on his own"...? Sai, in his theory building, suggested this might point to Nazo (from both "Nazo Unleashed" & "The Wrath of Nazo")...however, I'd like to disagree. I believe...this is referring to our very own emerald loving hedgehog: Axel. Think and take into consideration, WHO he aspires to be like: Shadow the Hedgehog. But, it begs the question...HOW far will Axel go to be like his idol? We've already seen in the past act/episode, that he feels like he needs the emerald...this could point to that.

"True terror will arise from the dark, where it hungers for the light, and those heroes who have walked the road of light and darkness, shall try in vain to reach out for the future.  They will perish. The cycle will be broken, and all paths shall meet in twilight."

True terror arising from the dark, in which it hungers for the light. The balance between light and dark, once Gwynn rises in his full power, will most likely be thrown out of whack. At this point, a being from the dark, one we know not of yet might return to wreak havoc upon Mobius alongside of Gwynn...or possibly have Mobius in the crossfire when he fights against Gwynn. Either way...it doesn't sound great...

"Those heroes who have walked the road of light and darkness", I'm sure refers to not only our team of fighters...but to whoever ally themselves to their cause. Reaching out towards the future, one in where the two terrors of light and darkness are awakened...it will be in vain, because at that point...its a future that will no longer exist. They will perish? Pretty self explanatory...Mephiles' first strike at those with Chaos potential was just a start and an example. It will happen more... Finally, the cycle will be broken...and all paths shall meet in twilight. To that last light...I have no clue. It is the one thing I cannot express to try to understand or know...

*cracks knuckles...literal hand knuckles...not echidna*

Now with some interesting developments in the previous arc plus a theory that our resident Sai had...I've come up with some more options and thoughts regarding this prophecy. Let's get to what I can...

"Seven beacons of hope shall be ripped from the maw of the past. Only to bleed forth the sins of he who resolves to carry their weight on his own."

I previously mentioned that this one part, "Seven beacons of hope shall be ripped from the maw of the past" and I toyed with the thought of time travel, but never expanded on it. Well, time for me to expand. Of course, same as before, the seven beacons referring to the Chaos Emeralds...or are they? With the advent of new games, Mania and Forces, we've been introduced to new little powers. One of which is known as The Phantom Ruby. At the moment, there's only one...but is there a possibility that this could be a part of a set of seven? Could be...but this would be a long shot. If anything, they do still refer to the Chaos Emeralds.

However, I'm positive that time travel is a key factor in this prophecy line. Why, you may ask? Elementary, my dear Mobians...Solaris. What am I talking about? Simple, I bring up Sai's interesting theory regarding Solaris itself and another being that is almost just like it...the Time Eater. Bringing in Sonic 06, Sai put together a theory that helped out with the lore of Sonic. One of which being, Mephiles apparently being in what seemed to be a proto-Gaia Temple. However that part has little relevance in this...it's Solaris. Both Solaris and Time Eater are similar in their own rights, their weaknesses and even their designs. Sai's theory has it that Time Eater is a younger version (if anything) of Solaris...or perhaps a reset version. Nevertheless, I'm believing that Solaris trying to be reawakened by Gwynn may possibly have this being appear in some shape or form. Perhaps in order to become what they once were? It's not for certain that this is the case...but the fact is that this is the only other character that comes to mind when it comes to time traveling, at least one that doesn't require a Chaos Emerald or a Time Stone.

"True terror will arise from the dark, where it hungers for the light, and those heroes who have walked the road of light and darkness, shall try in vain to reach out for the future.  They will perish. The cycle will be broken, and all paths shall meet in twilight."

Now this...I believe I was on the right track from my previous assessment: "At this point, a being from the dark, one we know not of yet might return to wreak havoc upon Mobius alongside of Gwynn...or possibly have Mobius in the crossfire when he fights against Gwynn". And to be honest...I believe it was mentioned in the previous arc.

Allow me to present to you...my evidence:

"You remind me of someone I used to know...though he is no longer with me." he said whilst smiling.

"Well, guess me and this someone have the same charm or something...though not gonna lie, I'm not sure anyone could stand to be around you much." Zane smirked, whilst keeping his guard up.

Suddenly, Zane noticed the ball of fire being manifested into Gwynn's hands. "All the more reason why you remind me of him!" He said, before launching a giant stream of fire towards Zane.

"H-Holy Chaos!!" Zane shouted, before slamming his palms down on the ground as an pillar of ice emerged from the ground and shot upwards. He knew it wouldn't last long under this stream of fire...but that's not what he was counting on. He suddenly stopped the pillar, feeling himself being launched upwards into the air as he smirked. "There we go...KEN EAT YOUR HEART OUT!!" he shouted as he began his descent towards Gwynn, readying a right hook...

However, when Zane got to Gwynn, his punch was caught. His fist was now in a vice-like grip because of Gwynn. This was scaring him...was he really a god then?? Zane's thoughts, however, were quickly brought back by the hedgehog.

"I hate the cold....reminds me of space."

It's odd that Gwynn...a literal god of the sun, would find a mortal Mobian that reminded him of someone from his past. What's more, it's Zane that he says it. A cryomancing arctic wolf. Now why is this? I honestly feel that my theory on another being, this time from the dark, would rise as Gwynn gets reborned. Perhaps this is the opposite of him...perhaps a god of the moon?

The moon may be a huge stretch, but think about this, if you would: Gwynn, the sun, said that Zane reminded him of someone that he once knew. And the final line of him hating space, makes me think that if anything...it has something to do with the moon. Perhaps the first sun of Mobius and the first moon of Mobius had a falling out and the latter deity was taken out. This is something that has always picked at my brain, but at the same time...it's something that gets one thinking. But now...I may have a inkling of what the last line means...

Think, if you will, that if Gwynn returns and for some reason, this moon deity returns. The cycle that the prophecy refers to may refer to the cycle of the sun and moon, as in their rotations around Mobius. After all...it ends with "all paths shall meet in twilight". Perhaps once that little cycle of the sun and moon rotations ceases, it could create a twilight, in which the two deities are working under a common goal now and end up merging...to create a twilight.

Honestly, this is all speculation and me looking back at this prophecy...just to see if I can put the pieces together and figure out the end.

Live damnit Live!

So here we are again!  With the arc almost over, and a new one on the way, some explanations are in order.  Alex has entered what Hollow and I like to call a Chaotic State, Version 1.  This has happened due to continual exposure of Chaos Emerald Radiation, and an influx of radical emotions.  Mixing those two gave Alex an extreme power boost, but it looked like it was hard for her to tame...the first version of your Chaotic State is rather unstable until you can control it, hence why Alex had a form of our choosing.  However, the next time she's able to use it, Wind can decide what the design of the form will look like.  I liked the thought of a Molten Alex because lava is loose, and wild, just like Alex herself!

Who knows what other Chaotic States will look like >w>
