Of course Aix has an Elf. I'll have to think about the range of that but so far nothing stands out as red flag.

What's the venom do exactly? Just poison?

Kills most big monsters. This needs to be worked out really.

I'm thinking bigger or stronger it is, the longer the time it has to take. But it's a potent venom from the king of snakes after all.

[spoiler=Wild Flower]

"If you can stop complaining for one second and think, you'll learn about the beauty of subtlety."

Name: Anastacia Balkirsh

Age: 43

Gender: Female
Race: Human
Element: Nature

[spoiler=Appearance]

NcuhmoX.png

174 centimeters.

[spoiler=Personality]

Anastacia is, for the most part, traditionally-minded. Quite a stickler to tradition and her culture, but for the most part, she doesn't look down on other cultures and their values. Despite showing some tendency of being a grumpy middle-aged woman, she's actually pretty happy go lucky for the most part. Although it's just something she does to not be seen as too harsh or serious - a side she does have. She values precision and beauty in details a lot, and generally dislikes overblown displays, although it's for the most part just a value she keeps from her tribe. Her methodical, precise leaning when resolving issues often put her at odds with her own spirit companion, who supports an entirely different philosophy.

She's not really the type to dream about something big outside of her plainsland, and her reaction to Shirin telling her of her destiny for something big was somewhat dismissive, although she actually secretly does have the dream of exploring all the islands with her partner before either of them dies, which was why her spirit found her quite away from Bresa. It's still quite hard to convince her to follow her destiny, but her sense of responsibility does end up getting her to agree with Shirin directing her.

She's not the type to dwell long with grief and she was even capable of letting go and accepting the fact after her village was wiped out by a plague in a relatively short time. She does respect the dead and pay her dues to them periodically, as per her tradition, but she personally believes that the spirits of the people close to her are always watching over her, so the best thing to do is to move on with her life while acknowledging the sweet memories she shared with those she had lost.

Hard to genuinely provoke (but it's easy to make her yell at someone due to a small mistake), but if one is successful in doing so, the result will never be pretty as she has a surprisingly vindictive side. And also, she doesn't actually like non-humans that much aside from dwarves (since her tribe trades with them a lot). Her distrustful side isn't really that pronounced however, and for the most part she's willing to work with non-humans. Just it's going to be a lot easier for her to argue and disagree with them.

[spoiler=Biography]

Born as a member of the nomadic Sanira tribe that lived scatteredly in the vast plains of Bresa, at first Anastacia was not really looking like a promising member of her colony. Unlike what the usual youngsters of her tribe were expected to be capable of, she's terrible at tending to crops and livestocks, didn't really cook, dance, or sing well, with the only core skill that she was capable of would be her top-notch ability in hunting and her passable craftmanship, albeit even then she couldn't even properly tame a ride for herself, which hurts the main selling point she had. It was seemingly pretty clear by then that the tribe would sooner or later had to kick her out of the village during a hard season.

However, she then managed to meet a rowdy specimen of Kukurubo on the verge on being culled for food since it was seemingly useless as a ride. Without anyone knowing about exactly how she did it, she somehow managed to tame it, and formed a bond with the bird, which she named Ileca. On the same year, her latent magical capability manifested properly, and she ended up dodging her almost inevitable fate of getting kicked out, and ended up being one of the village's shamans. Her magical capability isn't really that great though, but it was enough to carry her duties as a shaman well enough for the village to respect her.

Many harvest seasons passed, and many events happened. Sad things, happy things, such scenes passed one by one through her life. She lost her parents in a freak hunting accident, yet she also managed to marry a man that proves to be a good husband, and became the mother of two. Several times her powers failed to bring good harvest and almost led to a famine, but many times she also saved her village from one.

However, just seven years ago, during an especially harsh season, food were scarce, and for once in ages, the colony Anastacia was in ended up having to hunt animals that were clearly looking quite sickly. It soon lead to disaster, as apparently it ended up being a way for a disease to spread to the village, and with how poorly maintained the villagers were during the famine, it managed to kill the majority of the villagers, with Anastacia and a few others being the remaining survivor. Although, with how poor the condition was, only Anastacia managed to survive for more than a few days, and she went to another village to seek refugee. But news had traveled faster than her, and she was denied entry. She was apparently seen as a potential vector, and the fact that the shaman was the only survivor also raised some eyebrows.

So, after that Anastacia decided to just free herself of her worldly bindings, and started to explore the islands as she tried to make a living, along with her trusted partner in life, always being on her side no matter what happened. Around a week ago, she met with Shirin while she was fishing to help a sick Ileca finding her food. She almost attempted to kill it, thinking that Shirin was a snake trying to attack her friend, but Shirin cleared things up before Anastacia could do something reckless. After hours of questions and arguments, the group of three finally decided on their next destination.

Would something lie beyond the known horizon of a woman who felt she had seen everything?

[spoiler=Skills and Equipment]

[spoiler=Combat Skills (Magic)]

  • Green, Green Grass of Home: The ability to harmonize oneself with nature and utilize its power. Her natural, innate magic which was pretty rare on her tribe, but its scale was considerable bad compared to most known mages. Her bond with Shirin allowed her to slightly improve the scale of effect and its potency, but she mainly prides herself on how precise and controlled she could use her power. Her time of travel has also gave her the experience to use this power in a versatile way.
    • Life Creation: Creates a living nonmagical organism out of a suitable anorganic material (she could only make something as big as the usual cat). They deteriorate really easily due to being merely imitations of nature, but can serve a lot of functions. She knows jack sheet about microscopic creatures, so she'd be unable to create those.
    • Overgrow: Infuse life energy into a living being, allowing it to grow. Her most draining sub-magic, since the changes it does are relatively permanent. She can also use this power in a burst to massively accelerate the growth of something but at the cost of the living thing's permanence.
    • Recreation of Wonders: Creates parts of living organisms on a single point that her magic could reach (mostly melee, and requires a lot of focusing). She cannot create anything with magical elements, and unless these are made out of suitable organic materials, they would rot fast. She can't also make something as impressive as wings on her back, but she could manifest bear claws temporarily. Similar to [Life Creation], she has to be aware of the part and the creature to make them using this.
    • Natural Whisperer: Allow her to read signs of nature to limitedly communicate with plants and animal. She doesn't exactly understand them like she would understand humans, but a form of understanding could be reached.

[spoiler=Combat Skills (Mundane)]
  • Swordsmanship: Reasonably skilled with a sword, although as she mainly spent her time using a sword against beasts, compared to a proper swordmaster, she's hopelessly outmatched. On another note, her sword can be used to channel her magic through.
  • Mounted Archery: A mandatory skill of her culture. On top of Ileca, she could use her friend's sheer speed and maneuverability to agilely move through the battlefield, while still being an accurate shot on top of that.

[spoiler=Non-Combat Skills]
  • Craftmanship: Skilled in metalworks, sewing, carving, and creating decorative patterns as a form of art.
  • Natural-born Traveler: Instinctual knowledge on traveling skills such as surviving and navigation.

[spoiler=Equipment]
  • Decorated Short Sword
  • Wooden bow and arrows
  • Decorated Armlet
  • A lot of self-made clothing articles
  • Knives

[spoiler=Other]

  • Theme Song: Azure Blue Horizon「暁Records」
  • Battle Theme: Everything, an Illusion 「RD-Sounds」
  • While she uses a bow to fight, she always use stone-tipped arrows instead of metal-tipped ones despite having a collection of them. The reasoning was that those metal-tipped arrows were what she managed to salvage from her village, and she kept them around to remind her of the people she used to share her life with.
  • Related to the above, she will never use metal-tipped arrows (or any metal weapons, at that) made by people outside of her tribe. She likes the details put into such simple objects, and to use something as plain as those made by outsiders felt like it'd insult the metal.
  • She's not a terrible cook, per se. She's just really restricted in scope, only capable of making bread and her tribe's signature meat stew with lots and lots of spices.
  • Her equipment and clothes are forged and sewn by herself. It's a proud tradition of her tribe to do so.

[spoiler=Spirit Information]

"What's wrong with a little more force anyway? You can't accept a great destiny if all you do is small-time parlor tricks like that!"

Name: Shirin the Crawling King Snake

Element: Nature

[spoiler=Appearance]

F209BzT.png

Exactly three feet in length. Despite its menacing look, it's actually a pretty small snake-like creature.

[spoiler=Personality]

Sleazy and impatient, but hides its own wisdom behind that unimpressive side. A lot of the time, Shirin would prefer to try poking fun at Anastacia regarding her views on the world and magic, which usually prompts amusing arguments, but it really does feel that Anastacia has legitimate points with her belief. Granted, Shirin still prefers for Anastacia to embrace bombastic display of power and heroism since Shirin's pretty showy too, but that seems to be a distant dream. Really doesn't like to be called small, and no matter its current size, Shirin will act with as much gravitas as if it's a towering dragon.

[spoiler=Transferred Skill]

Channeling Shirin mainly allows Anastacia to slightly increase her magic's scope and potency, which...wasn't really something she liked, so mostly Anastacia has Shirin as some sort of familiar instead.

[spoiler=Personal Skill]
  • Spirit Form: While being immaterial, gravity and other forces does not affect Shirin at all, allowing it to fly freely on the sky or move through any surfaces.
  • Materialization: Shirin can also turns itself into a physical form that could easily be shed and disposed as much as a snake shed its skin. It cannot maintain this form for long though, and forces that affects physical matters affects it now.
    • Powerful Bite: In material form, Shirin's four-sectional mouth can produce a crushing bite to anything it targets, and it can also swallow large things due to how it can extend its mouth to impossible extremes. Of course, being a small snake without poison (unless Anastacia uses her magic on it) doesn't make this that big of a threat, but...
    • Channel: As a form of teamwork, Anastacia can also channel her magic through Shirin when it's materialized to increase her versatility even further, but it'll weaken on longer ranges and some forms of her magic would not be usable due to Shirin's nature.
    • Grow!: Since Shirin's body is just a temporary creation, it can afford to lose it. So, Anastacia could spend more magic on Shirin to let it grow into actually threatening size and act as her main form of offense while she tries to support it the best she could.

[spoiler=Other]
  • Enjoys music, and often annoys Anastacia by poking fun at how she can't sing.
  • Doesn't need to eat to survive even in physical form, but it likes the taste of bugs.
  • Always thinks that it can disguise itself as a flower...which always end badly for it.
  • Can sound really flirty despite not having any sexes nor interest/capability in procreation.

[spoiler=Life Partner Information]

"KWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAK!

(That's my dinner you numbnuts!}"

Name: Ileca

Species: Kukurubo

Gender: Female

[spoiler=Appearance]

jY2hwnI.png

[spoiler=Personality]

If Ileca could talk, then she'd be the type of girl that's really brash and lives according to rules she set to herself. Rude and obnoxious, the main thing on her mind is just to fill her belly with food while she lazes around and yell at anyone that approaches her. Granted, she's actually pretty reliable whenever she's needed, and she and Anastacia has mutual understanding of the need to care for each others' well-being and intents. It could be said that the two are inseparable partners in life with how much Ileca will do something out of her comfort zone for the sake of Anastacia, and vice versa.

Despite her obnoxious side, she actually has a deep understanding on the concept of life and relations. With that, she is also aware that her lifespan's coming to a close in just a few years, and is quite determined to spend the rest of her time with the only person she cared about in this entire world. Both has long since accepted the fact that Ileca's not far away from death's grip, but they also still lives their life normally, as if their bond will stay unbroken forever.

[spoiler=Species Information]

Kukurubo is a species of land-dwelling birds originally found in the desert not far from the big oasis, but when the Sanira tribe went on their grand migration to avoid the increasing inhospitability of the desert ages ago, they also brought Kukurubo with them to Gresa, since they were one of the two mounts that has any capability to survive going through Blagos' mountainous terrain.

They're usually 2 to 2.5 meters tall as adults, and like chickens, can practically eat anything to survive. They're well known to be able to be capable of traversing almost all terrains aside from open bodies of water and big swamps (smaller bogs can be traversed by them running as fast as possible on its surface). They're maneuverable and really fast even compared to a horse, with their biggest downfall being their inability to carry heavier load. Both males and females has the certain feathery top that looks like decorated haircrowns, but males usually have bigger and more colorful ones.

[spoiler=Personal Skills]
  • All-Terrain Mount: As mentioned above, Ileca can survive and traverse almost every locations on land. Even colder, icy locations can be conquered due to her layers of feathers.
  • Powerful Kick and Pecks: Being a big bird, and especially since Ileca has a habit of picking fights, both her kicks and pecking can be really dangerous, especially to anything smaller than it.

[spoiler=Other]
  • Her favorite food are cats and other small mammals. She likes cat more usually since she seems to find it fun to break their smugness before eating them.
  • Has a habit of attacking anyone that disturbs her eating/resting sessions if Anastacia's not around.
  • Also has a habit of chasing around smaller creatures, even when she's full. It's mainly a way for her to have fun.

Question. Does the culture and religion of the Dwarfs here mirror the ones found in Lord of the Rings and the Legend of Drizzt? As in, love mining, praise Moradin, etc?

Was curious on what level of the furry scale you intended the Drakens to be or if it was to be left up to interpretation.

Ah, there we go. An idea of what to look for in appearance. That's probably the way I'm heading if I do in fact make an app.

So...if one wanted to 'borrow' the image of an Argonian from the Elder Scrolls games, such would work for the Drakens?

And Arceus-dammit, looks like I may have competition on the scaled front. :/

Two Draken are fine if they're both done well

Also. *Googles*

Could work yes. A bit malnourished looking.

Dwarves value hard work and because of ancestry yeah mining and forging is a big deal. They aren't as connected to the spirits as most but they have a tendency to respect fire due to, well, forging. A thing to note is that everyone is expected to pull their own weight. They don't necessarily have to be religious but some of course are.

Edit: @Nai. It seems like it should be good. There's a lot of abilities/allies there what with the spirit being quite offensive and the mount being able to fight back too. But she seems to be fairly weak on her own which works with Nature quite well. I'm not going to officially "accept" it right now but it looks good.

Seeing as I'm probs making a draken and all some more questions for you:

They're stated to be a rare race so was curious if there were places one might expect to find them. Noticed they were mentioned in the mage tower but in thinking up backstory/stuffs wondering where else it might be reasonable for one to have lived.

And the other thing's basics about their culture like how they tend to live. Is it just single family units, tiny villages hidden away from most other people or solitary life style stuffs.

Beyond groups of them around the island of Haven they tend to be found somewhat distant from any other major city. Those that are connected to certain elements prefer areas their element is prevalent. Ice in the Bor Mountains, Nature in the forest, so on so forth.

Their villages are mostly around 50 or less Draken, and are really close-knit with the people of their village, but often no one else. Solidarity is important to Draken in general.

Alright, speaking of Draken, what about those whom live in a swamp. What elements would be prevalent in addition to the obvious of water? And is acid a possible breath weapon for the race?

Dark, Water, maybe Nature. And well Dark could potentially be some sort of corrosive sludge I suppose.

Not at all. The elements occasionally have certain traits that represent the element better than other. But it's not a "must be". Plus fire is more chaotic than dark anyway.

Name: Reinaan Malyol
Age: 48
Gender: Male
Race: Draken
Element: Fire

x393wz.jpg

[spoiler=Appearance:]

Height (+1 in per small soul, +2 in per large soul): 5'9" 5'10" 5'11"

Weight (+5 lbs per small soul, +10 lbs per large soul: 220 lbs 225 lbs 230 lbs

Other: Reinaan's always been a little on the small side of things for the average Draken. As he's fast approaching proper adulthood he's counting on growing about another foot in the next two years. Ignore the ring of water behind him. Also ignore the red spike thingy on his back because that's probably the start of wings and we don't do wings here. The rest is accurate aside from any weapons/equipment he carries with him.

pT84bi1.jpg

x393wz.jpg

[spoiler=Personality:]

Reinaan is full of energy, a mixture of excitement and anxiety. He tries to tackle life and at the same time a lot of it is unfamiliar to him and scary even to an extent. He very much acts based off of what makes him feel good as well as the norms set for him by his people. Eating and exploring and learning make him feel good so he seeks out opportunities that him let do those things. Helping others makes him feel good or at least it did in his village. He comes with a natural longing to belong among those he's with and an apprehension to try and establish the feeling due to never having been around outsiders very often. This leads to some initial reluctance to interact with people of other species since he does not know how to properly act around them. That said even when he does know how to act he's a little slow at adapting to it and likes to act out against new rules for a bit.

The laws of his village taught him that standing by others is essential and so those he befriends can expect him to do just about anything for them. But he doesn't get emotional with friendships, rather much more of a feel-good-bro kind of vibe. Talking about feelings and emotions is super awkward for him so he'd rather just give a thumbs up and a confident smile after doing something for a friend. He doesn't take thanks very well despite the drive to help others out. For his village it was simply customary that all do everything they could for each other. It was part of life and natural. To comment on it and make him out to be some sort of good person for doing what's natural feels very uncomfortable to him.

Reinaan comes with a bit of a chip on the shoulder simply from being on the smaller side of Draken. He has a drive to be strong and thrive. He wants to be strong and to him that means not crying and not losing what's important to you. He'll take hits with a grin trying to keep up the image. He wants to show his village he's worthy of being recognized as a proper adult when the time comes. However suppressing emotions like that isn't a healthy thing. Sadness can take a hold of him rather easily and then it becomes a battle to maintain the strong image while fighting himself inside. This struggle wasn't present in his village where he felt he was truly understood. His unfamiliarity with others combined with irritable tendencies make getting him to really open up to anyone else prove difficult. Not that he won't be friendly and talkative with others but it tends to have a more superficial feeling to it.

Curiosity drives a lot of what he does and has often led to reckless thrill seeking. Sliding down a freshly snow covered mountain on his belly was a good idea to him on several occasions for example. This carries of course to people and other cultures. He'll take a stab into what he thinks proper behavior is then fumble around apologies and readjustments afterwards. While on a hunt or on watch Reinaan becomes incredibly serious and focused. He doesn't talk more than necessary and his mind focuses in solely on what he's looking for. Granted you can still distract him by say getting right up in his face and following him around while he's doing his thing. He tends to get rather grumpy about that though so be warned.

Reinaan is desperate to learn and experience life and judges right and wrong based off of what harm would come to what people. Death is incredibly hard on him and has yet to encounter murder. The very idea of an intelligent being intentionally taking a life is impossible for him to wrap his head around at this point. Magic and other wonders of the world fill him with awe and he's prone to sticking his nose in too deep to things and getting hurt for it.

He likes to get things done and when he knows what needs to be done can be very irritable when things slow him down. His spirit companion's lack of sense of urgency is one common source of irritation for him. If a group is lagging behind for what he views to be "no good reason" he may well yell at them or run off ahead on his own. As much as he seeks company and belonging he loves being on his own too. Experiencing contrasts in life is exciting for him.

x393wz.jpg

[spoiler=Biography:]

For centuries a small village of Draken has existed nestled away in the northern reaches of the island of Blagos. They have long steered clear of others who would eventually settle the island and their dwellings are among the many caves of the mountains. The Draken here are tied to the fire element and their settlement is lit by torches that appear to never go out. Legend in the village states the founder was one of few magically talented Draken and that he had set up the lights and other such things when first settling the area. There are roughly thirty to forty Draken in the village at any time and over the years they've mastered exploring the miles of caves. They take to the surface while the sun is up to hunt for food and to enjoy the natural light while they can. The island proves dangerous with the many winged beasts that rule the airs but the united strength of the Draken hunters has kept them alive through the years.

Though rightfully viewed as an ominous threat and even worshiped by others, the Draken feel a pull to the volcano on the island. The Doombringer as it is called seems to naturally attract them as creatures of fire. Among the deeper reaches of the caves the village knows where to find magma chutes and will often perform various rituals by the side of one. Births are to happen by the side of the magma if at all possible, funeral services are conducted by them and the corpses of the fallen are laid to rest in the magma itself. Their lives comes from fire and so they must return. When an individual reaches adulthood at fifty years they will have a coming of age celebration all done if possible nearby the magma of the great Doombringer.

And so nearly fifty years ago the village was found deep underground among the caves they had lived in for so long. The whole of the village gathered by the magma which illuminated the area for them. The heat was intense but pleasant to the beings there. A couple was preparing to welcome their first child to the village. Due to the long lives of the Draken and limited resources of the village births were not an everyday occurrence and all wished to celebrate their new brother's arrival. The reaction was mixed when an admittedly smaller than average boy was born. He was named Reinaan Malyol by his parents. The village celebrated but all were concerned for the child's small size at birth and several worried he wouldn't live to see adulthood. His scales were colored black white and red, nothing unheard of but there was a lot more black on him than was usual as well. It raised a lot of concern with the parents as well as the others.

But the years slowly proved that though smaller than average Reinaan had one of the more fiery spirits. A little too much at times even as it took the child some time to learn the ways of the village and stop acting out against the various rules and such. To this day his village still disapproves of his manner of dress seeing as it hardly covers him. It's not like there's anything that really needs covering up anyway... usually. And though they call him indecent, a shrimp, and whatever else the village hardly knows what they'd do without him. The years have proved fairly entertaining seeing what trouble he could get up to. And despite all the things he does Reinaan very much loves his family and fellow Draken of the village and would do anything for them. Naturally this meant he was thrilled to become a hunter and really start providing for the village after a decade or two of growing and learning and helping around the village. The men of the village were of course hesitant to let him but his size had never really slowed him down yet and they needed all the strength they could if he proved capable.

After a few small hunts nearby the village entrance Reinaan was ready to go on his first really dangerous hunt. A longer excursion that exposed the party to more of the winged monsters that abounded on the island. It proved hard and perilous and even the energetic Reinaan soon found it hard to keep going. Everything seemed to be going fine until they were returning back with what they had caught. Returning was usually the harder leg of the journey. The monsters could tell when a kill was made and would want in on it as well. Unaware of the signs that preempted such an attack and tired from the trip Reinaan lagged slightly behind the group and opened himself up for an attack. It came unexpectedly but one of the others reacted quickly and got Reinaan out of the way but at the cost of being gravely wounded himself. The rest of the party arrived and fended off the creature and carried the two back to the village. The Draken who had protected Reinaan lived a few more hours but died from the injuries. Lamentation was taken up among the entirety of the village but none wept more bitterly than Reinaan who cursed his size, inexperience and anything he could think of about himself that had caused the loss of a brother. The funeral was held at the same shaft of the caves Reinaan himself had been born at and the body was lowered into the magma and burned away to nothing.

Much of the rest of Reinaan's childhood was fairly typical. He learned from the loss and honed his skills at hunting for the village and took to exploring the caves with friends. The loss of life seemed to inspire him with a desire to learn more of the world. There had to be more than just simply caves and mountains and monsters and hunting and whatever else. He began learning from the village elders of the other creatures that inhabited the world. Tales of strange creatures known as humans, elves, dwarves and many others. Though he never really caught up to the normal size of other Draken he became a surprisingly strong and capable hunter and was able to safely navigate his way through the mountains to try and see farther away places. It was upon reaching the coast one day a few years ago he first encountered humans. They had come in on a large structure that floated atop the water and were at the base of the seaside mountains. Reinaan looked on in curiosity realizing they had to be some sort of legendary creature the stories the elders told spoke of. Approaching the camp proved to be a bad idea as the men thought him to be a monster. But they noticed him to be wearing some sort of clothing and he also appeared to be attempting to speak to them. Hesitantly the two parties approached and began an exchange identifying Reinaan as a Draken to the men and the men as humans to Reinaan. The men were surprised not at the fact a Draken was before them but that one was out here as they had never heard anything of a Draken settlement on Blagos.

The exchange was so exciting to Reinaan as he told them of his way of life and they spoke of far off places they had been to on their ship. Reinaan warned them of the various monsters in the area and advised them of some safer tunnels to take if they wished to explore the mountains any. He went with them for a bit to see what they were up to. They seemed to think something valuable was in the mountains somewhere but after a few hours seemed to not have found it. Still they thanked Reinaan for the help and gave him the jacket he wears to this day. He was met with strict scolding upon returning to the village not for having contacted humans or even really for traveling so far as much as having done so on his own without telling anyone. They had on rare occasion made contact with outsiders before but the whole of the village had been advised of it and the results of the meeting. That said and the rules laid out the village was awfully curious about the jacket and other such things the humans had given him and once again teased him for his indecency given his style of wearing it.

At this point in time Reinaan is forty eight years of age. Almost an adult and ready to prove himself as such at the coming of age ritual. But fate had other things in mind for him. Not but three days ago while preparing for a hunt with the village Reinaan ran out ahead to scout out the area. Expecting to see various animals moving about the mountains and monsters about the air he was in for quite the surprise as a ball of fire appeared before him. He was entranced as suddenly a woman appeared from it in a flash of light. Embers scattered around the air as what appeared to be a human woman in elaborate clothing came into Reinaan's focus. She introduced herself as a spirit and said that she had chosen Reinaan as her partner. She told him this choice was in part due to her love of the volcano and his people's living so close to it and ability to breathe fire itself. Additionally she had always appreciated his energetic attitude among the Draken here, stating she had long watched him and felt he more than the others reminded her most of her own element of fire. Entirely confused Reinaan ran off but the woman followed. The others were surprised to see him running into the caves instead of out to go on the hunt. He ran straight for the elders to tell them what had happened and noticed the woman had kept pace with him remarkably well. Pointing to her he was surprised to hear that none in the village saw the woman at his side. The others worried as Reinaan spoke to the empty space asking it why no one could see it.

The woman smiled and suddenly made herself visible to the other Draken of the village. The elders were amazed and rushed to their records and legends of spirits. There wasn't much to go on but they knew enough to tell Reinaan to listen to her and do as she asked. Many feared it was the spirit of the volcano and that angering her would cause an eruption. So Reinaan began talking with the woman attempting to gather what all she had to say and wanted. She had no name of her own and requested Reinaan give her one if he desired something to call her by. She spoke of a mission they were to complete together that would require him to go see places far from the caves and mountains that were his home. The others of the village were very reluctant to let Reinaan go. They didn't wish to send a young Draken, not even yet a man, off on his own even if it was the spirit's will. But if ever there was a coming of age rite this would be it. With a bit of a tearful goodbye with his parents and village Reinaan set out with a few others of the village accompanying him and the spirit to be sure they made it out of the mountains safely. Along the way the spirit attempted to show Reinaan some of the powers they would have together which was only slightly explosive and only almost nearly burnt down the side of the mountain. There's a lot to learn and the young Draken's far from home and unfamiliar with many things. But he has a burning passion to see the world and come home to tell his village what it's like outside their home.

[spoiler=Skills and Equipment]

Combat Skills:

-Fire Breath: As a fire based Draken Reinaan is capable of breathing fire. Due to his size Reinaan usually only has about five seconds of fire before he needs a few minutes get some more ready. The stuff he spews moves fairly quickly, is fairly hot and could probably melt metals if he could keep it going longer. It's really good for setting flammable things on fire and can still get metals pretty uncomfortably hot. Naturally not something you want hitting you but unless you sit there and let yourself burn you'll likely be alright. Act too slowly and you can expect some third degree burns however. After a few yards the stream gets pretty dispersed to the point of not being effective for much of anything but within that range probably a good idea to not get hit by it.

-Fight like a dragon: Reinaan's weapons were naturally born with him. He's much stronger than the average human his same height of course but by no means as strong as say an orc. His main method of fighting is a melee approach and often devolves into tussle on the ground with all sorts of biting and slashing at least with things he hunts he's not particularly experienced with fighting other humanoids. Reinaan's tail packs a bit of a punch as well and can knock the average man off his feet provided he wasn't bracing himself for the blow. Reinaan's scales are about as hard as simplistic armor which facilitates the rough up close fighting. The scales are very resistant to burns and somewhat to slashes but can still be pierced with stabbing attacks, arrows and the like and don't hold up well to magic. Nothing he does is by any means finessed but it works well enough for him. His claws are very sturdy and sharp and very good for piercing flesh. Metal not so much, but with enough force they can get the job done. If that doesn't work he's pretty good with a spear and carries one with him. Not exactly dragon-like but you do what you have to to live.

Non-Combat Skills:

-Heightened awareness: Having had to be a careful hunter all his life Reinaan is very aware of his surroundings and is conscious of slight noises and disturbances in the area that indicate a presence in the vicinity. His ears and eyes are sharp and when focused rarely stays still to continue scanning the area. It's hard to sneak up on him but certainly not impossible especially with a little magic.

-Survival skills: Reinaan is comfortable living off what he can find and hunt and is more than capable of defending himself to boot. Hunting and fishing (with like spears and stuff not lines) come naturally to him as does tracking animals and such. Making fires is sort of inherent to his being so that's not an issue either. Has a good sense of the weather, particularly when it comes to telling the approach of a rainstorm.

-Exploration: With a strong sense of direction Reinaan rarely gets lost when exploring new places. He makes certain landmarks for himself easily and can quickly head back the way he came even if things get dicey and he's gotta get out fast. Caves and mountains are his forte of course.

Equipment:

-As shown in the picture he has a jacket that he wears more for style than protection of any kind. In fact he'll regularly remove the jacket for various activities to keep it from getting too damaged. There are metal braces about his hands and feet to help protect them in fights and such which he will keep on him more often than not.

-Reinaan carries a small bag with him which contains various sticks, twines and stones that look something like arrowheads. They're meant for quick improvised tools for hunting and such.

-Has a small jar containing a salve in it. It's made by his people and he carries some of the herbs required to make it as well. When applied to cuts it helps the scale layer recover faster to protect the wound though the actual damage will still be getting fixed underneath. Not particularly helpful to non-scaled individuals but it won't stop him from trying if someone's hurt.

-He does carry a simple spear, largely a hunting tool but not impractical for a fight either.

x393wz.jpg

[spoiler=Other:]

-Wears clothes purely for the cool factor and always inspects what other people are wearing when first meeting them. He'll often wonder why people don't wear things in a cooler manner and suggest alternatives. If his fashion sense is anything to go off of anyone with a sense of decency would ignore any such suggestions. Doesn't sleep with any of his equipment/clothing on so watch out for that. Especially if someone attacks in the night he'll be in a bit of a scramble.

-Sensitive to his size but largely only around other Drakens. Most other people don't know to call him short for his kind.

-Likes to pretend to be a dragon. The whole being a lizard thing and breathing fire doesn't help convince him otherwise.

-Pretty much a pure carnivore. Fruits and vegetables are super gross to him and get him to gag real quickly.

-Loves the feel of the sun on his skin and the feeling of a swim in a cold lake or river. Temperature contrasts in general make him happy. It has to be pretty unbearably hot out for him to complain however cold gets to him a little easier.

-Hair grosses him out.

-The writing system in Reinaan's village was something more like hieroglyphics and there wasn't a rigid grammar structure. Reinaan was taught to be able to "read" the stories they told and use them to tell his own stories but it's hardly what one would call literacy. Any other language and reading and writing are a fairly hopeless effort for him. He can be quite creative as to what letters and numbers could be pictures of.

x393wz.jpg

[spoiler=Spirit Information]
Name: Ziiyol

x393wz.jpg

[spoiler=Appearance:]

Height: 5'8"

Other: There is shown what appears to be a lizard tail however upon closer inspection it appears to be just an elaborate work of clothing and is not actually attached to Ziiyol. That said as everything materialized with her speculation as to whether it's actually clothing or not is largely meaningless.

5A98byH.jpg

x393wz.jpg

[spoiler=Personality:]

Ziiyol is for the most part lighthearted. She seeks to dance with the wind as a flickering flame. She has a mission that much is true but life will blow her where it will along the way. There's hardly ever a sense of urgency with her despite the very important things she speaks of with regards to spirits and the chosen. Heat and fire make her happy while cold somewhat distresses her and water terrifies her. She loves meeting new things of any kind be it sentient life, monster, fellow spirit, inanimate object. Anything that can burn basically. She doesn't seek destruction but finds beauty in it, especially ashes. She's very fond of Reinaan and tends to give what she finds to be cute nicknames to him and others she meets. If she can get angry is so far a mystery to Reinaan and those she's shown herself to. One can only imagine what a magical being of fire would do should it become enraged.

x393wz.jpg

Transferred Skill:

-Flamberge: Ziiyol's power of fire manifests itself primarily in Reinaan's claws. Upon merging together light and fire can be seen surging between Reinaan's scales and Reinaan is able to extend powerful flames off of his claws. These in essence flame claws extend two feet past the ends of his claws and can cut and sear through flesh and other soft substances. Metals can be cut as well but time and focus is required and the skill's difficult to maintain. Reinaan can only manifest the claws on one limb at a time. Should they be active on a hand they have to be removed from that hand to move to the other or either foot. The change is quick but also telegraphed in that the fire can be seen traveling across Reinaan's body to the next limb to use the power. Reinaan struggles to control it and easily sets things on fire he didn't intend to while they're active. He can usually only keep them out a few minutes before having to retract them or the spell starts blowing up in his face. Burns from the recoil are internal making his tough scaly exterior rather ineffective in preventing the damage.

The experience merged is quite the rush for both parties. Reinaan's senses go into overdrive, not necessarily getting better but more vivid. His emotions and passions flare up with it and it creates a sort of sensory overload. He acts a bit more animal like but is still himself. Upon separation he comes away from the experience a strange mixture of tired confused and sometimes even aroused (a bit embarrassing for him). Ziiyol loves the sense of actually being able to physically experience the world through Reinaan's body and her excitement builds throughout their time together. Upon separation she remains giddy and excited for some time.

x393wz.jpg

Personal Skill:

-Blistering Waltz: Ziiyol can perform a sort of dance which will produce one of two flames at the edges of the fans she holds. Red flames are normal fire and just burn things. Green flames attempt to burn magic and that's a dangerous game to be certain. Her dance isn't very far reaching, requiring targets to be within a few yards to be of any effect. And attempting to burn magic more often than not creates unpredictable explosions of fire and whatever element it's clashing with rather than actually disarm any spell. It is strongly advised against coming to Ziiyol for like removing curses or anything of the sort. The flames summoned last for only a few minutes. Red flames are capable of igniting paper, dried plants, clothing and other such similar things. Green flames are usually extinguished on their own by the resulting explosion of magic. In either case the flames will disappear when the dance ends so things that are on fire will spontaneously stop being on fire. Producing both types of flames simultaneously shortens the dance to a single minute and makes the green flames more unstable (big boom gets bigger).

x393wz.jpg

Other:

-Is always dancing. Or at least a lot of the time. More than walk she sort of gracefully spins and tumbles through the space. Play or sing any sort of music around her and she won't be able to help herself.

-It's hard to tell how aware she is of her appearance and how humans could well view it as rather attractive. She seems mostly oblivious to it. Mostly.

-Will often grab hold of random objects and see how much heat it takes to set things on fire. Often being unable to do so on her own she'll suggest Reinaan help her which usually leads to a little bickering. In any case, keep important documents away.

-To those who can interact with spirits Ziiyol's touch feels like a gentle warmth rather than anything remotely physical. Reinaan's awfully fond of it not that he'd admit it and Ziiyol knows it and teases him about it.

[spoiler= (maybe) Not an Edgelord]

"Damn, Ayden the chosen one really has a ring to it, don't you think?"

Personal Information

Name: Ayden Duskthorne
Age: 26
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Element: Dark

[spoiler=Appearance]
6971d3b1c457d4bcabf9a726c2e6d066_zpslhfv
Ayden stands at 6'1 and weighs 197 lbs. He has a rugged charm to him. His dirty blonde hair is almost always done up in spikes, he rarely lets it lie flat. His eyes are a light shade of grey, but used to be green.

[spoiler=Personality]
If you searched narcissist in a dictionary, Ayden's picture would surely pop up. Being of nobility, and selected by a spirit to fulfill a prophecy has inflated his ego to best even high elves. He believes himself to be the most important person in the room, and gets flustered when people don't heed his command as if it were law. In truth, he makes rather poor decisions often and tends to see short term benefits of actions, without considering the long term effects. This is similar to many humans, as their lifespans tend to be much shorter than the other races. Because of this, he has poor makings of a leader and would not suit well as one, despite his inflated ego making him think otherwise. Despite this, his facetious banter is more than likely to bring a smile to even the coldest of hearts. Spending time around people that can make him think twice about issuing threats can make a more giddy side appear. If someone is feeling down, he'll be at their side, doing what he can to raise the moral. At times, it seems even he knows his own arrogance can be comical. Other times, to the annoyance of everyone else, it can come off as annoying.

Ayden also has a hard time opening up to others. His bravado and self righteousness tend to keep others at a distance. Due to his past, he feels as if allowing other people to know the personal details against him can only lead to an eventual back-stab. He won't let others know anything important about himself, only telling them the bare minimum to make them content. While he does put on a bravado, he can be a bit touchy, and won't hesitate to use violence as a means to keep others from prodding around. His rather average intelligence makes him vulnerable to manipulation, and that is the way most people learn about him.

When he engages in combat, he becomes much more serious and gritty. He takes out frustration with reckless swings of his sword and violent curses, trying to vent his pent up anger on monsters and dummies to help him cope with his past. However, because he avoids the direct confrontation and continues to run from it, this venting only helps him feel better during the fight, then everything goes back to normal. While attacking, he doesn't even try to hide this savage side from his allies. The most dead giveaway he is a figure with a shadowy past is just from watching him train. He also shows no mercy to his opponents, and has to be restrained during sparring after he knocks the opponents down. However, he does not engage in combat for the sole purpose of venting. For instance, he shows his worth to his allies in combat, proving himself to be a determined individual, capable of defeating his opposition. He also shows a more noble side of himself here. If an ally gets hurt, he'll be there to help them up, after a bit of banter about how great he is. He also provides openings for his team, and revels when they compliment him for it.

Ayden is shrouded by a dark veil of mystery. It is pretty obvious why the shadow spirit has chosen him. Though he has an ego and an orc-ish temper, the values instilled upon him by his father help compel him to do the right thing. Few people get to know him, but those he feels comfortable around have to deal with a bit less bragging, and can have genuine conversation with him. Though he means well, his presence tends to be awkward at first, and over time appreciable. His intense determination and desires to make the living conditions better for himself and other drive him onward.

[spoiler=Biography]
Many moons before Ayden was conceived, his father was a nobleman. Born to a family of poor blacksmiths, Cardin wanted more for himself. Through hard work, he became one of the best blacksmiths in Izalton. Because of this work, the young adult began working for nobles, selling his items as trophies for top dollar. However, his wares were still valuable as weapons for adventurers. One day, he had hired a group to help him find a rare and precious metal supposedly lost on a poor traveler. It was a perilous journey, but fruitful. Yet, the gruff, burly man had caught the eye of a witch lurking around the forest. She saw him as her way into Izalton. Taking the form of a young, lost woman by the name of Amira. She seduced him and the and managed to slip through Izalton's doors, as a lost traveler who had escaped from a band of monsters.

At first, the woman had planned on sacrificing as many people as possible, but she soon began to find herself falling in love with Cardin. She gave up her malicious intentions and instead chose to live with the lie, and Cardin. The two were married over the next few months and had a kid in their first year, young Ayden. Old habits die hard, however. She had no evil intentions, but as soon as he was three she began teaching him basic curses. Weakening, Slowing, and Decay ones. She had him practice them on dolls that the two made. She simply wanted to teach him the magic she could sense in him. When Cardin witnessed it one day when Aydin was 7, the heartbroken man reported her to the guards. She was taken from home, and burnt at the stake. Wishing to shield Aydin from the sad truth, he told her she ran away, back to the marsh. He also prohibited Ayden from practicing anything his mother had taught him.

Ayden was heartbroken, and kept the last relic she had left him, a straw doll they sewed together. Yet, he forged on. The child had a rather luxurious life, yet his old man was never the same. The man seemed empty. He still forged weapons, but became more reclusive. He hardly talked, ate the bare minimum, and often stared off into the distance. To carry on their comfy lifestyle, Ayden took it upon himself to keep the business going. He began delivering the weapons, and became an effective salesman. It was said he could ice to a penguin.

Cardin's personal friend Bartholomew had taken notice of Ayden. He had a son a year older, named Sterth. Bartholomew had agreed to help educate Ayden, and in return Cardin would repay him with weapons. The two became like brothers, growing up together and spending almost all of their free time with each other. As they reached adulthood, their camaraderie turned much more intimate. Both began to develop feelings for each-other. Right before Ayden moved out, his father crafted his finest piece, a simple long sword with his name carved into the blade. When Ayden moved out and bought his own house, Sterth moved in next to him. Over the years, they spent more and more time together. While they tried to hide it, Bartholomew noticed. However, as every nobleman knows, secrets are sharper than blades. Rather than turn the two in, he kept their secret close if ever he needed it.

Bartholomew's true motives were to overtake Izalton. He was completely power hungry, and wanted nothing short of ruling. and over the years armed his supporters with the weapons Cardin supplied. He had been setting a coup in motion, and finally launched it. However, the plan fell short. His plan failed miserably. Bartholomew found the perfect scapegoat in Ayden. He accused Ayden of bewitching him, and all of his supporters testified this story. Bartholomew then threw his own son under the bus, claiming that the two of them were in on it, as well as secret lovers.

Both Ayden and Streth were arrested. However, Streth saved himself by stabbing Ayden in the back. He had carved a random looking symbol into his flesh, and claimed Ayden had used black magic to control him. Ayden was taken to court, and the 'overwhelming' evidence had him jailed. In court, evidence was used against him, piece by piece. In his home a voodoo doll was found. Whenever he spoke in his defense, Bartholomew and his supporters' eyes would glaze over, and they would start testifying with him. The court was in hysteria, and Ayden was destined to meet his fate at the steak.

On the day Ayden was set to burn, a watcher in the crowd had deemed him worry. Watching the innocent man struggle drove him to action. Cutting the ropes, he helped Ayden escape the burning and revealed himself to Ayden. Ayden gladly accepted the spirit, and dubbed him Nocturne. The two of them attempted to escape the city, but to no avail. Ayden was again captured and sent into jail, destined to burn in a few days. Though the situation seemed dire, Ayden realized he was a chosen on, as the prophecy his father would talk about echoed in his head. His ego inflated, putting a positive turn on a darker time in his life. Nocturne continues to swear they wont die here, and Ayden believes him.

[spoiler=Skills & Equipment]
[spoiler=Combat Skills]
Ayden is a durable bruiser in fighting. He provides a mix of disabling curses and strong physical attacks, yet doesn't truly specialize in either of them. He prefers to assault the mages/archers, and can withstand a bit of blows before collapsing. He lacks the finesse of a true blades master, but makes up for it with very powerful blows from a very heavy weapon.

Weakening Curse: Ayden utters dark power words, cursing a single enemy after 10 seconds of uninterrupted channel. Enemies cursed by Weakening Curse have healing magic on the reduced, and their limbs feel as if they are made of lead, slowing them. Enemies will know they are targeted by this curse when a pentagram rune opens below them. This curse lasts 15 seconds if not resisted. If he takes any damage in this time, or otherwises loses focus, the curse is cancelled.

Strength Leech: Ayden utters a different curse, and after 10 seconds of channeling, it drains their physical strength. Enemies normally wielding large hammers and great swords will find themselves struggling to lift it if this curse is completed. The curse generally lasts for about 15 seconds. An enemy will know if they are being targeted when an upside down triangle run opens beneath them.

[spoiler=Other Skills]
Ayden has an amazing salesman personality. He can be very convincing if he wants to be.
Ayden is also decent at forging. He can forge basic weapons if provided with all the equipment.

[spoiler=Inventory]
He carries around a "voodoo" doll that he made with his mother before she left. it doesn't actually do anything, just reminds him of her.

He also has the scarf given to him by Streth, though the ends are tattered now.

[spoiler=Equipment]
Ayden wields Lightbane, an imbued long sword. It has a blight enchantment, adding additional effects to a curse applied to a target. When struck, enemies slowed by the Weakening Curse become unable to move their legs entirely for about 5 seconds. If the blighted blade strikes a person affected by Strength Leech, their lost strength is temporarily transferred to him. Enemies with pestilence struck by a blighted blade have the effect of sickness and decay rapidly increased.

His armor is sturdy chain male with cloth and belts put over it simply for decoration. He wears cloth trousers and iron boots. While not the most durable set of armor, it doesn't make as much noise as a full suit of armor, and still protects his vitals.

Oddly enough, he refuses to wear a helmet. It is probably his arrogance, as he wants nothing to obstruct the view from his face.

Other Information:
-Ayden is gay, but is scared to pursue people after what happened with Sterth
-Ayden loves dogs
-He still doesn't know his mother was burnt at the stake.
-

-Battle theme

[spoiler=Spirit Information]
Name: Nocturne

[spoiler=Appearance:]
demonhunterbuild-1.jpg

Nocturne stands at 5'5. He prefers this human appearance, covering his face with a hood. His eyes glow a bright yellow. He has a set of long claws on his hands that function as weapons.

[spoiler=Personality:]
Nocturne is quiet and wizened. He doesn't speak much, but when he does it can be assured what he has to say is important. If not, it is usually a sarcastic comment or a chastising comment. He is rather sly, and intelligent in contrast with Ayden, who is slower. He often gives him good advise and helps calm his nerves. He also gets irritated with the kids ego from time to time, and makes little digs about how he chose the wrong person. Despite this, he believes in Ayden and can see the potential.

Often times a bit cynical with other, he won't let his guard down. He is always watching and listening, making internal notes and keeping secrets on everyone else. His attentive nature isn't necessarily a bad thing, as it allows him to make better educated decisions and inferences. He plays a paternal role to Ayden and tries to give him guidance, though sometimes it falls on deaf ears.

Transferred Skill:
-Shadow-tag: Ayden gains the ability to leave a solid clone of himself, made from shadows. Upon being hit they dissipate into the air. They can be used as a diversion or take a hit in his place, but each use puts some strain on him.
Personal Skill:
From the Shadows: Nocturne can temporarily enter the physical plane, becoming able to attack and interact with the world for 2 minutes. During this time, if he takes a strong enough hit, he is returned to his spirit form. He can only do this once every few days, and it saps him of energy. While in this form, he wields a pair of claws. His fighting style is almost feline. He is very fast and while he doesn't hhot too hard, he strikes fast and is hard to hit himself. He contrasts Ayden's fighting style greatly, but the two make a deadly pair when in sync.
Other:
-Nocturne loves cats. A lot. Especially black ones.
-Nocturne loves gambling

"My, such beautiful flames. If only they'd burn brighter."

x393wz.jpg

Name: Reinaan Malyol

Age: 48

Gender: Male

Race: Draken

Element: Fire

x393wz.jpg

[spoiler=Appearance:]

Height: 5'5"

Weight: Roughly 200 lbs

Other: Reinaan's always been a little on the small side of things for the average Draken. As he's fast approaching proper adulthood he's counting on growing about another foot in the next two years. Ignore the ring of water behind him. Also ignore the red spike thingy on his back because that's probably the start of wings and we don't do wings here. The rest is accurate aside from any weapons/equipment he carries with him.

pT84bi1.jpg

x393wz.jpg

[spoiler=Personality:]

Reinaan is full of energy, a mixture of excitement and anxiety. He tries to tackle life and at the same time a lot of it is unfamiliar to him and scary even to an extent. He very much acts based off of what makes him feel good as well as the norms set for him by his people. Eating and exploring and learning make him feel good so he seeks out things that him let do those things. Helping others makes him feel good or at least it did in his village. He comes with a natural longing to belong among those he's with and an apprehension to try and establish the feeling due to never having been around outsiders very often. This leads to some initial reluctance to interact with people of other species since he does not know how to properly act around them.

The laws of his village taught him that standing by others is essential and so those he befriends can expect him to do just about anything for them. But he doesn't get emotional with friendships but rather much more of a feel-good-bro kind of vibe.

Experiences contrasts in life is exciting for him.

For centuries a small village of Draken has existed nestled away in the northern reaches of the island Blagos.

Births are to happen by the side of the magma if at all possible, funeral services are conducted by them and the corpse of the fallen are laid to rest in the magma itself. Their life comes from fire and so it must return.

Due to the long lives of the Draken and limited resources of the village births were not an everyday occurrence and all wished to celebrate their new brother's birth.

Lamentation was taken up among the entirety of the village but none wept more bitterly than Reinaan who cursed his size, inexperience and anything he could think of about himself that had cause the loss of a brother.

Though he never really caught up to the normal size of other Draken he became strong and was able to safely navigate his way through the mountains to try and see farther away places. It was upon reaching the coast one day a few years ago he first encountered humans. They had come in on a large structure that floated atop the water and were at the base of the seaside mountains. Reinaan looked on in curiosity realizing they had to be some sort of legendary creature the stories the elders told spoke of. Approaching the camp proved to be a bad idea the men thought him to be a monster but the noticed him to be wearing some sort of clothing and noticed him attempting to speak to them. Hesitantly the two parties approached and began an exchange identify Reinaan as a Draken to the men and the men as humans to Reinaan.

[spoiler=Skills and Equipment]

Combat Skills:

-Fire Breath: As a fire based Draken Reinaan is capable of breathing fire. Due to his size Reinaan usually only has about five seconds of fire before he needs a few minutes get some more ready. The stuff he spews is hot and could probably melt metals if he could keep it going longer. It's really good for setting flammable things on fire and can still get metals pretty uncomfortably hot. Naturally not something you want hitting you but unless you sit there and let yourself burn you'll likely be alright.

-Fight like a dragon: Reinaan's weapons were naturally born with him. He's stronger than the average human his same height of course but by no means as strong as say an orc. His main method of fighting is a melee approach and often devolves into tussle on the ground with all sorts of biting and slashing. Reinaan's tail packs a bit of a punch as well. Reinaan's scales are about as hard as simplistic armor which facilitates the rough up close fighting. The scales are rather resistant to burns and slashes but can still be pierced with stabbing attacks, arrows and the like and don't hold up well to magic. Nothing he does is by any means finessed but it works.

Non-Combat Skills:

-Heightened awareness: Having had to be a careful hunter all his life Reinaan is very aware of his surroundings and is conscious of slight noises and disturbances in the area that indicate a presence in the area.

There are metal braces about his hands and feet to help protect them in fights and such.

-He does carry a simple spear, largely a hunting tool but not impractical for a fight either.

[spoiler=Other:]

[spoiler=Spirit Information]

Name: Ziiyol

x393wz.jpg

[spoiler=Appearance:]

Height: 5'8"

5A98byH.jpg

x393wz.jpg

[spoiler=Personality:]

Ziiyol is for the most part lighthearted. She seeks to dance with the wind as a flickering flame. She has a mission that much is true but life will blow her where it will along the way. There's hardly ever a sense of urgency with her despite the very important things she speaks of with regards to spirits and the chosen. Heat and fire make her happy while cold irritates her and water terrifies her. She loves meeting new things of any kind be it sentient life, monster, fellow spirit, inanimate object. Anything that can burn basically. She doesn't seek destruction but finds beauty in it.

Burns from the recoil are internal making his tough scaly exterior rather ineffective in preventing the damage.

It is strongly advised against coming to Ziiyol for like removing curses or anything of the sort.

x393wz.jpg

Other:

-Is always dancing. A lot.

Keep important documents away.

Holy text wall batdog

Seems to be pretty good from what I can tell. His seriousness during a hunt was a little surprising due to the rest, but I suppose it could make sense.

Also yeah he's VERY short for a Draken. He's even a little short for a human male XD

The powers and abilities seem fine, but be warned that hand-to-hand is very dangerous and you'll have to be extra careful about that. especially if you're up against something like a dire bear

As for the spirit...

she's hot

Seems about right for what I'd expect. I'd like to know how long the dance of flames last for and how damaging the fire tends to be, you say normal fire so I assume nothing crazy powerful.

Also as to burning things. While possible just keep in mind that Spirits in general can't interact very well with non-chosen and spirits and thus their affect on the world itself isn't QUITE as strong as a regular person would be.

I can't see anything WRONG with it atm, but will look it over more when time comes for me to make more decisions. For now... *pets* good boy
