The Chosen: RP Hardcore Mode (OOC/Not Accepting/PG-16)

Recommended Posts

Oh! I think you misunderstand Cow. Instead of just typing up a general idea, that section of my app is going to have a RP post. Essentially, it will be like reading a short chapter in a book.

Oh XD That works.

[spoiler=Cardfighter]

Name: Ryia Mariote

Age: 22

Gender: Female

Race: Human, cause I'm boring and stuff.

Element: Earth

[spoiler=Appearance]

SZSNxmh.jpg

As she appears when in her armor, sans the metal heels because fighting in heels sounds like a great idea. She stands at a height of 5'10" and weighs roughly around 160 lbs. When not in her armor, she wears rather raggedy and dull clothing that normally consist of blouses and wool trousers.

[spoiler=Personality]

In a world filled with nothing but monsters and misfortune for others, Ryia is a person who wants to aid in ending both of them. A person who is out to help others, whether it be a simple task of moving something from point a to point b or going on a quest to kill some kind of bothersome monster. While she knows doing everything is impossible, and that there are some tasks that no matter what you do you can't complete them, she is still willing to put her best foot forward towards this goal. And while she is a person blessed with the strength to aid in such tasks, she also lacks the grace and dexterity to anything but said tasks. In spite of putting her best effort in most everything she does, she is still a natural born klutz, and has a tendency to drop, trip, etc. anything that requires something than a strong grip to hold.

Due to this clumsy nature of hers, Ryia tends to have a lack of confidence in herself before attempting most tasks. It has also lead her to becoming a more bashful person overall, often needing to pump herself up before undergoing any sort of task. While not cripplingly shy, she speaks in an often times softer and quieter voice than most and doesn't maintain direct eye contact for extended periods of time. While not a doormat, she is still easily taken aback and in the flow of those who have a much more upfront and outgoing personality than her. Nevertheless, she is someone who will still follow through with her convictions.

This is most notably seen while in combat. While normally shy, she becomes far more focused during times when she must fight, and thus becomes far more calm and resolute as a result. Her spirit of helping others manifests itself in more of a spirit of self sacrifice then anything else, often completely uncaring of how much damage she takes herself. As such, she is one stands firm and steadfast in battle, wanting no harm to befall her comrades. While she is one who will hurl herself in the line of fire to aid an ally, she has been around long enough to understand when it is and isn't a good idea to abandon everything to do so.

[spoiler=Biography]

On the island of Haven, within the largest city of the world, Naporia, was where Ryia Mariote was born. The Mariote family was a rather poor family, with each generation producing anywhere between six to eight children, and all of them being completely unremarkable. As such, never being able to move out of their terrible financial situation, the family would constantly try to do something in each generation in order to bring themselves up. Of course, without being educated, this usually broke down into one of two paths. The first was finding steady jobs, such as something in the service industry, or something that would require more hard labor. This was usually reserved for the women of the household, as the men often times found their "calling" in the other path. That path being the one of adventuring; leaving one's own home behind to earn money and glory through exploration and government funded jobs. Such Mariote's either never accomplished much or were simply never heard from again soon after their career began.

Ryia, born as the fifth of seven siblings, understood these truths of her family from early on. As such, she wasn't one to have big aspirations, nor was she one that particularly thought much of herself to begin with. All she wanted to do was help. Seeing those who lived around her in the same poor circumstances, and knowing just what was expected of her, Ryia had always tried her hardest to help. Whether it be getting employed to work as a waitress, doing odd jobs for her community or just  lending a helping hand to a neighbor, Ryia tried her best to aid others....This didn't work out so well for her.

Not dexterous in the slightest, not graceful either and sometimes being a bit of a klutz, her plans for helping never quite worked out the way she wanted them to. She couldn't hold down any kind of job due to making too many mistakes and often times causing more trouble for others in her efforts to help. The only thing the girl quite had going for her was her irregular strength, but due to her being a female, there wasn't many places that would take the girl seriously enough and/or consider her for such stereotypical unfeminine jobs. As such, despite her desires, she was left unable to accomplish much of anything and was often times sullen at this point in her life. The only thing that ever seemed to comfort her was the stories brought to her by her eldest brother; a man who was a simple and unremarkable adventurer.

Despite this, he always seemed to provide a steady income for the family from the requests he had managed to fulfill and always had stories to tell about them. From this, Ryia was able to learn about the world outside of her little bubble of home and could only be in awe of just what it was her brother was doing. The eldest did this at every chance he could, and it wasn't until Ryia was around the age of 15 that he stopped coming home altogether. When normally it was her brother that would return, instead a person from his adventuring party came over instead. Revealing to them that a quest that they had undergone had gone awry, he told the family that the eldest gave up his own life in order to make sure that the rest of the party would be able to make it out alive. This sent most of the family into either hysterics or rage, either at the party members for allowing it to happen or the brother for practically damning the family, Ryia instead saw it as something inspiring.

Understanding now that the monsters outside the walls were a true problem, one that needed to be dealt with due to the pain they caused, and hearing of how her brother helped saved others, Ryia soon became determined to become an adventurer herself. While the idea sounded simple in concept, it took Ryia quite a few years to actually get said idea off the ground to an innumerable amount of complications, (such as money, equipment, training, etc.) However at the age of twenty, after managing to find a small group of people to go take on requests with, her life as an adventurer began. While the group she was with was reluctant to let the slightly bumbling  girl take on the position of vanguard for them, she quickly proved herself in combat and had gone on with her companions to complete various requests for the times to come. Only a week ago was this somewhat unremarkable group's quest taking interrupted by something.

In dealing with a small goblin encampment that was getting too close to the city, it seemed like any sort of job as normal. However, when they went to the encampment, there was something clearly off about it. Sitting in the middle of it, completely out of place yet with no attention drawn to itself whatsoever, was some horned four legged animal of which Ryia hadn't seen before. When she tried pointing it out to the others of her party, they took no note of it at all and didn't know what was going on with their party member. In order to go on with the quest as normal, though, Ryia simply said that she must've been seeing things and tried to pretend the creature didn't exist, which proved hard with it intensely staring at her the whole time.

Ryia continued to function as the vanguard for the fight, but having the creature stare at her so made her distracted, causing her to act as a distraction to falter. As soon as this became evident to her, and the situation became far more dangerous than it should have, her awareness of the strange creature quickly stopped as she rushed to the aid of her comrades, doing her best to shield them from sustaining any more damage than they had. While having been a far more precarious situation than it had any right to be, the group managed to finish the request and started heading back.

While heading back, Ryia continued to look at the creature, as it was now following them back into town with them, causing her group to worry more. Once they had managed to sit down, the group had almost went to talk with Ryia about their concerns for her health, when the beast finally appeared visible for everyone else. While they all seemed to freak out at the sudden appearance, Ryia was simply relieved and told the rest of the group that it had been what she was seeing. It simply nodded, said hello and that it would return later for Ryia, and disappeared. With that, the group's activities were put on halt as they had no idea how to react to whatever that odd creature's appearance meant.

[spoiler=Skills and Equipment]

[spoiler=Combat Skills]

As she lacks the dexterity to wield a weapon with finesse, Ryia sticks to the front lines with a simple and effective mace to bash things with by way of her great strength. While she is not the best at using it, it is also not her primary role in battle to do so anyway. With a shield in her other hand, Ryia's main specialty is space between her opponent and her ally, acting as a sort of barrier between the two. She sticks mostly to defending, only really attacking when an opportunity presents itself, soaking up damage and being an overall nuisance to said opponent.

[spoiler=Magic Skills]

  • Wall of Stone: The user pulls up a wall of rock/dirt in an area, usually in front of somebody. The wall i meant make approach harder and/or absorb damage.
  • Stone Flesh: The user casts the spell on a target, making their skin harder and the target take less damage.

[spoiler=Non-Combat Skills]

  • Lifting and moving things
  • The patience and wherewithal to do menial labor
  • Cooking skills for basic dishes.

[spoiler=Equipment]

  • Heavy Steel Mace
  • A steel shield akin to a tower shield in design but overall not as tall as one, (merely covering half the body instead of the full body.)
  • Steel plate armor
  • Small iron knife
  • Otherwise Ragged Clothing

Other:

[spoiler=Spirit Info]

Name: Ackrin

[spoiler=Appearance]

1CdPhqy.jpg

5'7' in height.

[spoiler=Personality]

Fittingly enough, one way to describe Ackrin's constant and unchanging expression would be stone faced. He is a spirit who seems to be serious about everything, constantly. He does not often joke, nor does he ever get them, and his attempts at humor are often not well received. He is extremely blunt and tactless with all of those that he addresses. His voice is always some kind of stern monotone that never falters. He himself is also completely fearless, not perceiving much of anything as something to be feared. As such, he has zero idea why people ever falter and does not understand that humans are by no means unkillable. Because of this simplistic nature, and in spite of his overly serious nature, he can come off as completely ignorant a good deal of the time.

[spoiler=Transferred Skill]

Coat of Stone: Ryia is under constant affect of an improved Stone Skin and all of her equipment gains increased durability/hardness.

[spoiler=Personal Skill]

  • Stone Ocean: Ackrin can summon a small collection of rocks to his side, and simply pelt a target with them.
  • Solid Earth: Ackrin is able to designate a small circular area and make it treated as if it were stable and even ground, (such as making desert sand acts as though it were solid, smooth stone instead.)

We now have the Earth Chosen!

Sorry Cherz for putting off deciding on your dude but there's someone still interested in Dark and I want to give them a chance.

However.

TOMORROW. I will decide to accept the Dark Chosen or not. So if anyone wants to do Dark, tell me now, and try and get something up.

[spoiler= (maybe) Not an Edgelord]

"Damn, Ayden the chosen one really has a ring to it, don't you think?"

Personal Information

Name: Ayden Duskthorne

Age: 26

Gender: Male

Race: Human

Element: Dark

[spoiler=Appearance]

6971d3b1c457d4bcabf9a726c2e6d066_zpslhfv

Ayden stands at 6'1 and weighs 197 lbs. He has a rugged charm to him. His dirty blonde hair is almost always done up in spikes, he rarely lets it lie flat. His eyes are a light shade of grey, but used to be green.

[spoiler=Personality]

If you searched narcissist in a dictionary, Ayden's picture would surely pop up. Being of nobility, and selected by a spirit to fulfill a prophecy has inflated his ego to best even high elves. He believes himself to be the most important person in the room, and gets flustered when people don't heed his command as if it were law. In truth, he makes rather poor decisions often and tends to see short term benefits of actions, without considering the long term effects. This is similar to many humans, as their lifespans tend to be much shorter than the other races. Because of this, he has poor makings of a leader and would not suit well as one, despite his inflated ego making him think otherwise. Despite this, his facetious banter is more than likely to bring a smile to even the coldest of hearts. Spending time around people that can make him think twice about issuing threats can make a more giddy side appear. If someone is feeling down, he'll be at their side, doing what he can to raise the moral. At times, it seems even he knows his own arrogance can be comical. Other times, to the annoyance of everyone else, it can come off as annoying.

Ayden also has a hard time opening up to others. His bravado and self righteousness tend to keep others at a distance. Due to his past, he feels as if allowing other people to know the personal details against him can only lead to an eventual back-stab. He won't let others know anything important about himself, only telling them the bare minimum to make them content. While he does put on a bravado, he can be a bit touchy, and won't hesitate to use violence as a means to keep others from prodding around. His rather average intelligence makes him vulnerable to manipulation, and that is the way most people learn about him.

When he engages in combat, he becomes much more serious and gritty. He takes out frustration with reckless swings of his sword and violent curses, trying to vent his pent up anger on monsters and dummies to help him cope with his past. However, because he avoids the direct confrontation and continues to run from it, this venting only helps him feel better during the fight, then everything goes back to normal. While attacking, he doesn't even try to hide this savage side from his allies. The most dead giveaway he is a figure with a shadowy past is just from watching him train. He also shows no mercy to his opponents, and has to be restrained during sparring after he knocks the opponents down. However, he does not engage in combat for the sole purpose of venting. For instance, he shows his worth to his allies in combat, proving himself to be a determined individual, capable of defeating his opposition. He also shows a more noble side of himself here. If an ally gets hurt, he'll be there to help them up, after a bit of banter about how great he is. He also provides openings for his team, and revels when they compliment him for it.

Ayden is shrouded by a dark veil of mystery. It is pretty obvious why the shadow spirit has chosen him. Though he has an ego and an orc-ish temper, the values instilled upon him by his father help compel him to do the right thing. Few people get to know him, but those he feels comfortable around have to deal with a bit less bragging, and can have genuine conversation with him. Though he means well, his presence tends to be awkward at first, and over time appreciable. His intense determination and desires to make the living conditions better for himself and other drive him onward.

[spoiler=Biography]

Many moons before Ayden was conceived, his father was a nobleman. Born to a family of poor blacksmiths, Cardin wanted more for himself. Through hard work, he became one of the best blacksmiths in Izalton. Because of this work, the young adult began working for nobles, selling his items as trophies for top dollar. However, his wares were still valuable as weapons for adventurers. One day, he had hired a group to help him find a rare and precious metal supposedly lost on a poor traveler. It was a perilous journey, but fruitful. Yet, the gruff, burly man had caught the eye of a witch lurking around the forest. She saw him as her way into Izalton. Taking the form of a young, lost woman by the name of Amira. She seduced him and the and managed to slip through Izalton's doors, as a lost traveler who had escaped from a band of monsters.

At first, the woman had planned on sacrificing as many people as possible, but she soon began to find herself falling in love with Cardin. She gave up her malicious intentions and instead chose to live with the lie, and Cardin. The two were married over the next few months and had a kid in their first year, young Ayden. Old habits die hard, however. She had no evil intentions, but as soon as he was three she began teaching him basic curses. Weakening, Slowing, and Decay ones. She had him practice them on dolls that the two made. She simply wanted to teach him the magic she could sense in him. When Cardin witnessed it one day when Aydin was 7, the heartbroken man reported her to the guards. She was taken from home, and burnt at the stake. Wishing to shield Aydin from the sad truth, he told her she ran away, back to the marsh. He also prohibited Ayden from practicing anything his mother had taught him.

Ayden was heartbroken, and kept the last relic she had left him, a straw doll they sewed together. Yet, he forged on. The child had a rather luxurious life, yet his old man was never the same. The man seemed empty. He still forged weapons, but became more reclusive. He hardly talked, ate the bare minimum, and often stared off into the distance. To carry on their comfy lifestyle, Ayden took it upon himself to keep the business going. He began delivering the weapons, and became an effective salesman. It was said he could ice to a penguin.

Cardin's personal friend Bartholomew had taken notice of Ayden. He had a son a year older, named Sterth. Bartholomew had agreed to help educate Ayden, and in return Cardin would repay him with weapons. The two became like brothers, growing up together and spending almost all of their free time with each other. As they reached adulthood, their camaraderie turned much more intimate. Both began to develop feelings for each-other. Right before Ayden moved out, his father crafted his finest piece, a simple long sword with his name carved into the blade. When Ayden moved out and bought his own house, Sterth moved in next to him. Over the years, they spent more and more time together. While they tried to hide it, Bartholomew noticed. However, as every nobleman knows, secrets are sharper than blades. Rather than turn the two in, he kept their secret close if ever he needed it.

Bartholomew's true motives were to overtake Izalton. He was completely power hungry, and wanted nothing short of ruling. and over the years armed his supporters with the weapons Cardin supplied. He had been setting a coup in motion, and finally launched it. However, the plan fell short. His plan failed miserably. Bartholomew found the perfect scapegoat in Ayden. He accused Ayden of bewitching him, and all of his supporters testified this story. Bartholomew then threw his own son under the bus, claiming that the two of them were in on it, as well as secret lovers.

Both Ayden and Streth were arrested. However, Streth saved himself by stabbing Ayden in the back. He had carved a random looking symbol into his flesh, and claimed Ayden had used black magic to control him. Ayden was taken to court, and the 'overwhelming' evidence had him jailed. In court, evidence was used against him, piece by piece. In his home a voodoo doll was found. Whenever he spoke in his defense, Bartholomew and his supporters' eyes would glaze over, and they would start testifying with him. The court was in hysteria, and Ayden was destined to meet his fate at the steak.

On the day Ayden was set to burn, a watcher in the crowd had deemed him worry. Watching the innocent man struggle drove him to action. Cutting the ropes, he helped Ayden escape the burning and revealed himself to Ayden. Ayden gladly accepted the spirit, and dubbed him Nocturne. The two of them attempted to escape the city, but to no avail. Ayden was again captured and sent into jail, destined to burn in a few days. Though the situation seemed dire, Ayden realized he was a chosen on, as the prophecy his father would talk about echoed in his head. His ego inflated, putting a positive turn on a darker time in his life. Nocturne continues to swear they wont die here, and Ayden believes him.

[spoiler=Skills & Equipment]

[spoiler=Combat Skills]

Ayden is a durable bruiser in fighting. He provides a mix of disabling curses and strong physical attacks, yet doesn't truly specialize in either of them. He prefers to assault the mages/archers, and can withstand a bit of blows before collapsing. He lacks the finesse of a true blades master, but makes up for it with very powerful blows from a very heavy weapon.

Weakening Curse: Ayden utters dark power words, cursing a single enemy after 10 seconds of uninterrupted channel. Enemies cursed by Weakening Curse have healing magic on the reduced, and their limbs feel as if they are made of lead, slowing them. Enemies will know they are targeted by this curse when a pentagram rune opens below them. This curse lasts 15 seconds if not resisted. If he takes any damage in this time, or otherwises loses focus, the curse is cancelled.

Strength Leech: Ayden utters a different curse, and after 10 seconds of channeling, it drains their physical strength. Enemies normally wielding large hammers and great swords will find themselves struggling to lift it if this curse is completed. The curse generally lasts for about 15 seconds. An enemy will know if they are being targeted when an upside down triangle run opens beneath them.

[spoiler=Other Skills]

Ayden has an amazing salesman personality. He can be very convincing if he wants to be.

Ayden is also decent at forging. He can forge basic weapons if provided with all the equipment.

[spoiler=Inventory]

He carries around a "voodoo" doll that he made with his mother before she left. it doesn't actually do anything, just reminds him of her.

He also has the scarf given to him by Streth, though the ends are tattered now.

[spoiler=Equipment]

Ayden wields Lightbane, an imbued long sword. It has a blight enchantment, adding additional effects to a curse applied to a target. When struck, enemies slowed by the Weakening Curse become unable to move their legs entirely for about 5 seconds. If the blighted blade strikes a person affected by Strength Leech, their lost strength is temporarily transferred to him. Enemies with pestilence struck by a blighted blade have the effect of sickness and decay rapidly increased.

His armor is sturdy chain male with cloth and belts put over it simply for decoration. He wears cloth trousers and iron boots. While not the most durable set of armor, it doesn't make as much noise as a full suit of armor, and still protects his vitals.

Oddly enough, he refuses to wear a helmet. It is probably his arrogance, as he wants nothing to obstruct the view from his face.

Other Information:

-Ayden is gay, but is scared to pursue people after what happened with Sterth

-Ayden loves dogs

-He still doesn't know his mother was burnt at the stake.

-

-Battle theme

[spoiler=Spirit Information]

Name: Nocturne

[spoiler=Appearance:]

demonhunterbuild-1.jpg

Nocturne stands at 5'5. He prefers this human appearance, covering his face with a hood. His eyes glow a bright yellow. He has a set of long claws on his hands that function as weapons.

[spoiler=Personality:]

Nocturne is quiet and wizened. He doesn't speak much, but when he does it can be assured what he has to say is important. If not, it is usually a sarcastic comment or a chastising comment. He is rather sly, and intelligent in contrast with Ayden, who is slower. He often gives him good advise and helps calm his nerves. He also gets irritated with the kids ego from time to time, and makes little digs about how he chose the wrong person. Despite this, he believes in Ayden and can see the potential.

Often times a bit cynical with other, he won't let his guard down. He is always watching and listening, making internal notes and keeping secrets on everyone else. His attentive nature isn't necessarily a bad thing, as it allows him to make better educated decisions and inferences. He plays a paternal role to Ayden and tries to give him guidance, though sometimes it falls on deaf ears.

Transferred Skill:

-Shadow-tag: Ayden gains the ability to leave a solid clone of himself, made from shadows. Upon being hit they dissipate into the air. They can be used as a diversion or take a hit in his place, but each use puts some strain on him.

Personal Skill:

From the Shadows: Nocturne can temporarily enter the physical plane, becoming able to attack and interact with the world for 2 minutes. During this time, if he takes a strong enough hit, he is returned to his spirit form. He can only do this once every few days, and it saps him of energy. While in this form, he wields a pair of claws. His fighting style is almost feline. He is very fast and while he doesn't hhot too hard, he strikes fast and is hard to hit himself. He contrasts Ayden's fighting style greatly, but the two make a deadly pair when in sync.

Other:

-Nocturne loves cats. A lot. Especially black ones.

-Nocturne loves gambling

Aaaand now we have the Dark Chosen, officially, welcome aboard.

We now have left

Wind: Aix has a WIP.

Ice: Dwarven King has a WIP

Thunder: No WIP but some potential interest.

Water: No anything, most likely this is what I'll be taking so I'll work on an character with Water in mind. (But it can change still of course)

Remember all of these are possible to make an app for~

I don't think I will be participating in this after all. Seeing as I need to design not one character but two, and have never really forum RPed before, I think I would want to start out with an RP that isn't as hardcore. (I'll probably head to cherry heart for that)

But I am looking forward to see how this turns out. Cya folks.

So announcing that I've begun work on a character. Since it's been...About 2 weeks since I made this OOC. Once I finish it I will post it. So anybody who wants to express interest in the Water Chosen do so soon. Since that's the one that there hasn't been interest in, and the one I'm writing for now.

[spoiler=Chuunibyou Level: Over 9000!!! (WIP)]

Personal Information

Name: Qali Kvallen
Age: 278
Gender: Female
Race: Elf
Element: Wind

[spoiler=Appearance]Picture: http://touch.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=medium&illust_id=56582106
Qali is on the tall side for an elf at 5'6", letting her stand not too short of humans. She is blessed in terms of looks and figure which is a shame to many because of her eccentric personality.

[spoiler=Personality]"Occam's Razor" and "Burden of Proof" do not exist in Qali's dictionary. Her vibrant imagination leads her to draw wild(ly inaccurate) conclusions about even the most mundane of things, constructing entire libraries worth of fictitious lore (that often contradict each other because she has rather poor memory). The fact that she has a tendency to overthink and refuses to listen to others does not help. This has lead her to spend the last century essentially chasing rainbows and hunting unicorns while doing odd jobs and picking pockets for money and not giving a single funk what others think. She does not truly believe in her fantasies, but she has strong aversion to realism and the mundane, thinking it boring and beneath her. When she was Chosen, the only response she had was "Of course!"

Despite her loud, energetic, and outgoing nature, Qali is highly socially dysfunctional; her small talk generally involves either poking her nose into highly personal matters or topics like the next appearance of the "Great Minotaur Lord Moomoo of the Apocalypse" (the name and title changes every time), and she gives little thought to concepts such as personal space or faux pas. However, while she approaches others easily, she does not give her trust easily, and she would rather take initiative to be the betrayer than the betrayed.

Taking self-preservation as a priority, she has become used to having to steal or sacrifice others for survival, such as by leading monsters to them to escape. Unless she was truly desperate though, she avoids killing innocents with her own hands.

[spoiler=Biography]Qali's father left on a journey, something related to the Spirits which Qali was too young to understand at the time, and never returned. Her mother, on the other hand, died when monsters attacked during a short excursion while Qali was saved just in time by a passing adventurer.

Although their acquaintance lasted a mere few days after Qali became an orphan, that adventurer became a key figure in Qali's life. He was imprisoned, but due to the grace of saving young Qali's life during the monster attack he was not executed or driven out immediately. He was a marvelous storyteller; whether his stories had any basis in reality at all was questionable, but the tales he told inspired Qali deeply. As a sort of coping mechanism of a grieving orphaned child, Qali began escaping into her fantasies and imagine having those sort of grand adventures herself. Her delusional nature ended up alienating her from her kin, and when she was one hundred and fourty-seven years old, she decided to leave on her own.

Of course, if you actually asked Qali, she'd spin some fantastical origin story that would differ each time she told it. However, each story would mention her being saved from some horrific danger by a passing sage, homage to the adventurer who saved her life.

Qali met her Spirit while rotting away in a prison cell. She had gotten caught after stealing the heirloom of some noble, not realizing the artifact had a tracking mechanism on it. With the newfound ability of the Wind Spirit, she was able to escape her cell with ease.

[spoiler=Skills/Equipment]

[spoiler=Combat Skills]Qali favors ranged weapons to strike her enemies down before she has a chance to be hurt. She is an excellent shot with most ranged weaponry in Fantalius, with her primary weapon being the longbow, like the rest of the elves. She is able to fire three arrows in quick succession by holding the other two arrows in her hand while she fires before having to retrive more from her quiver.

Long times spent in shady places, however, has also honed her skills at dirty fighting both unarmed and with a knife.

[spoiler=Other Skills]Iron Stomach: The ability to eat and digest nigh anything remotely edible, even her own nightmarish cooking.

Pickpocketing: Careful not to accidentally bump into her or you may find yourself missing one of your valuables.

Survival Skills: Qali has all the skills necessary to surviving alone in the wilderness, hunting, fishing, etc.

[spoiler=Inventory]Yew Longbow: A very well-crafted longbow of elvish make which Qali puts much love into maintaining it. It has been with her for over a century now, but still works like new.

Quiver: Slung across the back and contains 50 arrows.

Sling: A lethal weapon for back-up. Useful because it doesn't really run out of ammo.

Dagger: Very useful in a variety of situations and can be wielded in close combat. Well used, but well maintained.

Vial of Basilisk Venom: Extremely rare and potent venom which Qali uses to poison arrows against enemies that she cannot take down with her bow alone. She harvested the venom herself two decades ago in an encounter that costed the lives of 90% of the caravan she was travelling with and it is running out. She has enough for approximately four more shots.

[spoiler=Other]Qali is an awful cook and is the only one capable of surviving her own cooking. She also sings horribly off-key when she has the impulse to sing. Do not sing around her or she will join you.

[spoiler=Spirit Information]Name: Baal Mercurius, the Fury of the Wind
[spoiler=Appearance]

[spoiler=Personality]

[spoiler=Transferred Skill]Short ranged teleportation. Instantaneous. Must have destination in sight. Maximum range of 50 meters. Cooldown of 10 seconds. Can only be done 5 times in a ten minute period, but recharges all charges at once.

[spoiler=Personal Skill]Can divide into three smaller birds and interact with the world. If one body is killed, a day is needed to regenerate.

So, I really like the sound of both Draken and Auran. I also think I could come up with a pretty cool race. And then of course there is Dwarfs.

I'M SO TORN! D:

Also, post reserved for my impending application.

Second also, if we are allowed to call dibs, I would like to call Ice please.

[spoiler=WIP]Name: Stoakley Silvervein
Age: 117
Gender: Male
Race: Dwarf
Element: Ice
Appearance: [spoiler=Stoakley] 4'9", 212lbs

400px-Dwarfmmxlegacy.jpg

[spoiler=Personality]...

[spoiler=Biograpahy]...

[spoiler=Skills and Equipment]
Combat Skills: Stoakley is a well built Dwarf, with plenty of strength. All of his muscles are built up from his military training, years in the mine, and years in the forge. He's capable of running in full armor while lifting a shield nearly as wide as he is. His military training as also made him an excellent warrior, capable of turning the hefty shield in time to block and attack while expertly swinging his axe.

He's also learned a bit of magic. But by bit, I mean one simple spell. And it's something Dwarfs generally wouldn't consider learning. He can cover areas the size of his shield in ice by simply touching them.

Non-Combat Skills: Mining, smithing, building.

Equipment: One handed axe, shield the size of his body, and armor that covers him from the neck down. He also packs a small dagger on his waist and two health potions.

[spoiler=Spirit Information]
Name: Spirits don’t have their own name. Your character gave them this when they became Chosen.
Appearance: Spoiler this. What form do they take? Keep in mind this form is usually incorporeal to all but the Chosen and other Spirits. Either an image or a paragraph of description. Include height, somewhere around 1-6 feet tall.
Personality: Spoiler this. What does the Spirit act like? Upon entering the Mortal Realm, spirits gain a mind and will of their own and develop somewhat simplistic personalities. Only one paragraph needed.
Transferred Skill: What skill/ability do they grant to their Chosen when they merge with them? It’s usually minor, a boost to physical abilities, a new spell, or weapon, etc.
Personal Skill: Spirits can do minor things on their own. Including small scale spells, and attacks.
Other: Anything else you want to add?

Please give me an update on how you're doing for your apps. I hope to be able to accept at least two more by the end of the week.

No one took up the mantle of Water Chosen and thus...

[spoiler=Water Witch]yI83IwS.jpg?1
“I suppose...we should go save the world now.”

Name: Keres Lazuli
Age: 20
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Element: Water

[spoiler=Appearance]QWJ27Rc.jpg?1
She’s not the cat, sadly. Her boots don’t actually have those heels, and she usually wears both. Stands at 5‘4“ and weighs 120 pounds.

[spoiler=Biography] “You see, love is a strange thing; though that doesn’t matter for this story.”
Once upon a time there was a beautiful young witch named Daphne. She was a curious girl who liked to stray out of the swamp to see the world outside. It was on one of these adventures she met Phoebus, a young man who was as handsome as he was arrogant. He tried to add Daphne to his list of conquests, not realizing what she was, and she rebuked him time and time again. Eventually she was attacked and injured by a monster on one of her trips. She would have died had Phoebus not came around. Afterwards he once more attempted to conquer her, though she once more refused. Angered, Phoebus took her by force. As he started to leave, once the deed was done, Daphne caught him off guard and killed him with a spell. Not long after she realized she was pregnant. She attempted to use a curse to abort the baby but for some reason it failed. Believing it meant the baby was protected somehow, she went through with the birth, and Keres was born.
Her mother wasn‘t a very attentive woman, and seemed to not bother with her much, but Keres didn‘t seem to mind. She was too focused on being fascinating with the strange world around her. She didn‘t quite understand the danger of the world as her mother‘s wards kept the house relatively safe from harm. She was especially fascinated with magic, but her mother seemed adverse to actually teaching her.
In fact by the time Keres was 7, Daphne had become fed up with seeing the girl, and left her in the house alone one night. She was in a hurry and even forgot to take her hat with, which Keres clung to as some tether to her missing parent. The young girl was unable to fend for herself, and the wards were starting to fail, when a Templar came across her on one of the council‘s rare quests into the swamp. She was brought to the Mage Tower to learn magic, and for the first time in her life she saw the world outside of the swamp.
“Hello everyone, my name’s Keres! Oh, my hat? Isn’t it cool?”
When she first was introduced to her classmates Keres was overjoyed. People her sized, it was amazing! She was a bright and cheerful girl and they all seemed to accept her, not caring that she seemed to be different than they were. Though her teachers seemed to treat her with a bit of scorn and distrust, she didn‘t get the same feeling from her classmates and thus was able to have a happy start to her schooling. She proved to be an adapt pupil, the first of the children to exhibit potential to connect with a specific element, something that usually happens in the later years. It wasn‘t until she was ten that things started to take a turn for the worst...
“No...I’m not like that.”
She was playing with some other children as usual, when one of the older kids, as this was the age they started to mingle with a different group than normal, came to her and accused her of being a witch. Keres, not understanding the problem, told them her mama was one.
The boy then started to call her horrible things, saying how witches were evil people who cursed others and that all her friends must be under her spell. More and more children began to come to her and agree with the boy and soon enough even her friends left her side, saying all sorts of lies about the things she made them do. Keres went, crying, to the teacher. Who did the bare minimum to get the other students to focus on something else.
The next few years of Keres‘ life was being the butt of jokes, being tripped, having her hair pulled, and being all around excluded and bullied.
Upon entering her awkward teens, Keres started to become used to the treatment, and tried her best to avoid trouble. People seemed to have gotten bored of directly teasing and attacking her, and she sort of faded from everyone‘s minds. She still got fearful glances and whispers, and the occasional taunt or prank when people felt bored, but for the most part they just ignored her. She did her best to focus on her studies and became extremely proficient. However she never got much praise, and what praise she did get she tried to deny so that people wouldn‘t take notice of her.
“If that’s how it’s going to be, I have no place here.”
Eventually she gave up on the school. They stopped teaching her more advanced classes at a certain point, seemingly not wanting her to learn too much. She discovered that the Templar that had found her wasn‘t supposed to bring any students back with him from the swamp, and that he had died when she turned 14. She started to realize the school wanted nothing to do with her, and she was just there to keep her out of trouble and so they could monitor her actions. After being taught the same basic information for the third year in a row, Keres decided that enough was enough. She managed to leave the Tower at age 16, though admittedly they didn‘t try very hard to keep her there. What she didn‘t know, at first since she was able to discover it eventually, was a group of Templar was ordered to follow her until she reached the swamp and kill her if she seemed a threat. It was a harrowing journey and she was forced to rely on help from a traveling band of mercenaries who, to her surprise, seemed to be fine with her joining their group as they traveled north. Several of them died along the way and she eventually parted with them to go to her home in the swamp.
“...”
Keres fought off the monsters that had taken residence in her home, and used her magic to re-start the wards her mother had placed, and began life in the swamp. Her mother had left behind a large library, and she spent much of her time reading it and writing her own thoughts, studies, and theories down in journal after journal. There were many times she grew depressed that she would never really make a difference, and that her work wouldn’t amount to anything.
Eventually she found a stray cat who had managed to avoid being eaten by a zombie by trapping it in a mud pit. She named it Lucky and took care of it. By this point she had all but stopped speaking, and her outer appearance had taken on a rather uncaring and lifeless look. However she grew to love this cat and it invigorated her to keep up with her studies.
“Perhaps things can be different now.”
One day she woke up to see Lucky staring at her, standing on her chest. She watched him quizzically as he jumped off the bed and towards the door. She got dressed and followed her out, to the edge of her ward, where she discovered a spirit floating there. It introduced itself as a spirit of Water, and insisted that she make contact with them. Once she did it explained to her that she was one of the Chosen, the Chosen of Water in fact. And that she was meant to save the world.
A small spark of hope flared within her, and a passion she forgot existed within her soul surged to the forefront of her mind. She realized that she had a chance to do something to change her fate. She began to practice more magic, trying to grow used to working with the spirit, who she named Flux, and prepared supplies for what she expected was going to be a grand journey.

[spoiler=Personality]Keres is a quiet girl. She is quite calm, and able to adapt to many situations. She seemed to be awkward and twitchy around people, due to her past, and while she doesn’t try to ignore others at times it can seem like she’s being cold or aloof. In fact she almost always has a dull, bored, expression on her face. She does everything somewhat slowly, carefully, afraid to make a mistake or cause anyone trouble.
However she’s quite helpful, and actually fairly sociable when she feels comfortable. She can’t stand to see people in pain, physical or emotional, and always goes out of her way to talk to those that seem to be having some sort of problem. This can be off-putting to people due to how she has a semi-mechanical way of talking and expressing herself.
There are many times Keres simply forgets to speak, used to not having to, and this can lead to her not getting why people don’t understand what she’s trying to accomplish. She also doesn’t like being disturbed if she’s focused on something, and struggles not to get angry at those who unknowingly distract her.
She’s an avid reader and writer and tends to go out of her way to read a book she discovered, sometimes in the middle of a conversation. She also has a tendency to write all her experiences and discoveries in her journals. This holds true for meeting new people, seeing new spells, and fighting new monsters.
Analytical about many things, she can get lost in her theories and observations quite often. As she grows more used to talking she winds up saying seemingly odd or far-fetched things. No theory is too strange for her to consider and she has an extremely open mind about things.
Ironically, though you wouldn’t guess it by looking, there’s a fire deep inside of Keres. She has hope, and determination, and a passion that can rival anyone else. She refuses to give up once she has a task and will follow her path with a strong and dedicated purpose that can border on zealously at times. She believes that anything is possible with hard work. However this belief is fragile, despite how strongly she feels, and can quite easily be bruised, if not beaten down entirely, with repeated failure or upon witnessing multiple acts of evil, greed, and other negative emotions.

[spoiler=Skills and Equipment][spoiler=Combat Skills]-Magic Focus: Keres’ training in only magic means that she’s capable of more diverse magic than others might.
-Waterbending: Using her magic, Keres can move water to use it as a weapon. Usually this is in the form of a whip, or a torrent of water, but it has other applications. Limited in that it needs water around to use, and the amount of water can change the effectiveness. Her main offense. However it can also be used to move short distances. Usually can’t control more than around 100 gallons of water, and the more she controls the more strain it puts on her.
-Liquid Relief: Can soothe injuries to dull pain, and temporarily stop bleeding.
-Illusions: Still not as strong as she’d like, Keres can make the opponent see an image and/or hear a sound that isn’t there. Can only target one at a time, and depending on the target’s will power it may fail.

[spoiler=Non-Combat Skills]-Keres is a skilled cook, able to make meals out of not many ingredients. Though she’s used to cooking for just herself.
-Able to identify edible berries, plants, fungi, etc.
-Has a good singing voice. Though she's very much out of practice, having only occasional sang for a cat.

-An adapt dancer, a book about dancing being one of the few non-magic or nature related book in her house.

[spoiler=Equipment]-Several simple robes, one is heavier than the rest, for colder weather.
-A single pointed hat, slightly water resistant.
-2 potions to recover stamina.
-2 potions to get rid of minor poison/illness.
-Ivory handle brush.
-backpack filled with journals, quills, and ink.

[spoiler=Other][spoiler=Themes]

-Has a pet cat who she entrusted to watch over the house.
-Likes being barefoot but knows it’s not a safe thing to do usually.
-Ironically not a very good swimmer
-Enjoys the feeling of a brush being ran through her hair

[spoiler=Spirit Information]Name: Flux
[spoiler=Appearance]DornwYo.jpg?1
2 feet in length. Sometimes shrinks or grows six inches.

[spoiler=Personality]While Flux doesn’t really speak much, they are a very curious creature. You can often find them closely observing something or someone, sometimes for hours on end. Has extreme patience but no real concept of time, so they can come off as scatterbrained or irresponsible at times. They seem to really enjoy the world, and see beauty in many simple things. Flux is the most talkative when they’ve found something they think is particularly inspiring. Which tends to be something unusual like a moss covered stone or a pile of dead leaves.

[spoiler=Skills]Transfered: When Keres absorbs Flux, she simply gains a boost in her abilities. This is only temporary, lasting upwards to five minutes at a time, but it can provide much needed strength to her spells.
Personal: Flux can, a few times a day, touch non-spirits and Chosen and cause them to have a brief, intense, hallucination.

Here she is!

Now get to finishing those apps boys. ;) Wind, Ice, and Thunder are left.

[spoiler=Witch Hunter]

5vAK9o4.jpg

"Sure, I suppose I don't mind playing hero just this once..."

Name: Lindow Artoria

Age: 24

Gender: Male

Race: Human

Element: Thunder

[spoiler=Appearance]

Date.Masamune.(Sengoku.Basara).full.1498

Lindow is a tall slim-built gentleman, standing at 6'0 and weighing 151 lbs.

[spoiler=Biography]

It should go without saying that someone like Lindow isn't born, they're made. That being said, Joseph was born in Izlation, and was forced to endure several years as an orphan living off the scraps of society. Having never truly known his parents, Joseph was known as burden to nearly everyone in the city, and the subject of several ugly rumors regarding the fate of his mother and father. Had he murdered them and eaten their corpses? Sold them off to the witches in the swamp? Or maybe he really was left for dead after the two young travelers realized that their adventurous lifestyle would be put at risk if they had a child? Not that it mattered. The point was that the kid didn't have parents and was constantly slinking around alleys with that creepy look in his eyes...

The first time anyone had ever bothered to show Joseph kindness was the day that he ventured outside Izlation's walls. Exploring the perimeter of the Restless Swamp, Joseph was greeted by a kind old woman who offered him a small package of food. Naturally, he took the gift without hesitation. As he feverishly devoured his first meal in days, young Joseph listened to the old woman as she told him stories of her youth as an orphan herself, and offered to allow him to take refuge in home which was conveniently nearby. Though her story was soon cut short as two men appeared from nowhere and cut the old woman down with ruthless efficiency.

Shifting their gaze to the pathetic street rat that the witch had planned to lure to her lair, the two men took pity on his soul and explained the situation that the had almost found himself in. They told him about the Abyss Seekers, and their crusade to cleanse the earth of those who used magic for evil. Realizing that this might be his only shot to do something with his life, Joseph pleaded for the two Abyss Seekers to take him back with with them to their base and allow him to join their ranks. They agreed, and from that point on Joseph began training in the art of combating witches and mages.

As he grew older, Joseph managed to slowly climb the ranks of the Abyss Seekers; leading several successful inquisitions, and disbanding two covenants all whilst following an extremely righteous moral code that was often times frowned about by his extremist peers. When he turned twenty, Joseph was dispatched to investigate a suspected witch that was known to be up ducting local children. Slipping into the witch's home in the dead of night, Joseph was met with several children locked in cages. With his suspect confirmed to be guilty of her crimes, Joseph began hastily freeing the children from their prison before turning his attention to the sleeping witch. Drawing his blade, the young hunter prepared to apprehend the elderly woman, but was suddenly struck in the back of the head by one of the children.

Awakening bound to a chair, Joseph discovered that the children had been put under some kind of spell and were mere puppets to the witch, who had set an ambush upon hearing of his arrival in the area. A hunter in the clutches of his prey, Joseph endured several days of horrible torture at the hands of his captors; during which he had his left eye forcible removed and eaten by one of the witch's children. Joseph died in that cabin. Driven to the very brink of his sanity, the man finally managed to break free of his bindings on the fifth night of torture. Savagely slaying the witch and every last on of her brainwashed servants with his bare hands, he crawled out of that cabin a changed man. That was the day Lindow was born...

Having been thought dead, Lindow's return caused quite a great deal of surprise to the Abyss Watchers. Being the kind of organization that they were, the Watcher's had wasted no time in promoting Lindow's replacement, and with the man even going so far as to having forsaking his code and casting away his own name; the hunters believed it was only fitting that he was forced to carve out a new path amongst their ranks. Lindow would spend the next four years fighting his way back to his former tittle, taking on a number of tasks that were deemed suicidal, one of which would soon lead him to the path of a chosen...

It was a seemingly simple hunt. A group of sisters that had used vile methods to harness the power of lightning for themselves, and were planning on using it force other local covenants into servitude. Locating the sisters with relative ease, Lindow engaged them in combat. The battle was fierce, but during the skirmish he managed to slay oldest of the three sisters and wound the middle sibling badly enough to force her on the defensive. Strangely enough, the youngest of the trio seemed rather reluctant to fight, despite her sisters claiming that she had the strongest magical power of them all.

During the battle, a large thunder cloud formed over head and began raining water and lighting down upon the forest floor. From one of the bolts appeared a small feline spirit that approached the youngest of the witches, claiming the she was chosen to protect the world with her powerful magic and purity of heart. Using the spirits sudden appearance as a distraction, Lindow swiftly dispatched the middle sister before running his blade through the youngest witch moments before she could accept the thunder spirit's offer to become partners.

Watching as her chosen partner fell backwards with Lindow's blade through her chest, the thunder spirit was rendered speechless as the young witch offered it her final words. "This man... he has been set down a dark path... be his guide... I'd like him to take my place." Having watched as the young woman used her last breaths to plead for the thunder spirit to take on Lindow as he partner, Lily reluctantly gave the man the same explanation she had given his victim.

Fascinated by the spirit's proposition, Lindow accepted Lily's partnership, assuming his mantle as the Chosen of Thunder.

.

[spoiler=Personality]

Though usually a laid-back, whimsical, snarky and oddly eccentric man, Lindow reveals a wickedly cunning and ruthless side when the situation warrants it. He is prone to using idle conversation and random observation to distract his opponents, and tends to be exceedingly sadistic when dispatching his targets. Despite his care-free attitude, Lindow often times gives off a shady impression that he more often than not will laugh off without bothering to put those around him at ease; even going as far as too pretend that he is unaware of the fact that his behavior tends to cause unease to those around him.

His sense of humor is very odd and somewhat dark; normally shown through his deadpan observations, mocking politeness and heavy sarcasm. More often than not it is impossible to tell when Lindow is being serious, and he is well of aware of it.

Though he is considered a high ranking member of the Abyss Seekers, Lindow shows no outward malice towards witches. He considers the mantle of hunter a job, and nothing more and despite the extremist views of his peers, Lindow has now qualms with magic and the benefits that come with it. Although, even with that said, Lindow will not hesitate to carry out any of the more... unsavory orders passed down by his handlers, and will cut down woman and children alike if they prove to be threat to themselves or others.

Outside of combat, he exhibits a casual laziness that has led him to take up the hobby of napping whenever possible. Lindow is often times no where to be found when it comes time for hard labor, and when asked to conduct a task that he considers to be actual work he will feign sickness or claim that he is too weak to contribute. Though he may complain about it the entire time, Lindow is not opposed to helping others in need, especially if he manages to come up with a way for it to be mutually beneficial. He holds a odd moral code, and as bizarre as it may seem, he can some times be found helping the elderly carry heavy loads to their homes and rescuing children's toys when tossed out of reach.

[spoiler=Skills and Equipment]

[spoiler=Combat Skills]Duel Swordsmanship: The Abyss Seekers make use of a very unique fighting style that revolves around the use of both a one handed longsword and dagger in tandem with quick and unpredictable movement. Their lack of armor allows for high mobility, which is important for avoiding spells and other projectiles. Lindow has mastered this technique and is able to hold his own with true swordsmen.

Witch Hunting Training: Lindow is surprisingly nimble and reactive. He is able to swiftly climb most surfaces with ease and conduct acrobatic feats such as flips, wall jumps, and narrowly avoiding attacks at the last minute in combat.

Marks of the Abyss: Upon completing his training as an Abyss Seeker, Lindow had a slew of runes carved into his body that serve to grant him an improved resistance to hexes, curses and illusions.

[spoiler=Non-Combat Skills]- Though he is not a very talented mage, Lindow is well versed in all things magical or occult.

- Lindow has extensive knowledge of herbs, particularly those used to cure curses or create poisons.

- He is ambidextrous.

- Lindow is also skilled at gathering information and is knowledgable the criminal underworld as a whole.

[spoiler=Equipment]

-Abyss Seeker's Silver Longsword x1

-Abyss Seeker's Iron dagger x2

-Bag of bribing money

-Herbs used to induce a sudden rush of adrenaline x3

- Abyss Seeker's light armor robes x1

- Dark Blue cloak x1

[spoiler=Other]

[spoiler=Spirit Information]Name: Lily

"You lazy bastard!"

[spoiler=Appearance]

raijuu_by_lightning_spirit-d482z0t.jpg

Lilly stands at 8inches but grows to a staggering 3 feet during thunderstorms.

[spoiler=Personality]

As a spirit of thunder, it should be no surprise that Lily is a fire cracker. Unable to keep from blurting out her first thought the moment she comes up wit it, there is no lying with this one. Despite the fact that she known for her brash outbursts, and painfully honest observations, Lily is extremely sensitive and easily offended; often times starting arguments only to run off sulking upon have her opposition throw an insult her way. Known to be a little bit of a brat, she is constantly barking orders to Lindow from atop his head and is known insult his intelligence whenever possible.

[spoiler=Skills]

Personal:

-Discharge: Lily can discharge a large amount of electricity into the air 3 feet around her, shocking and stunning all those caught in it's area of effect. A single use will last for five seconds, but will require Lily to rest for five minutes afterwords.

Transfered:

Third Blade: Upon fusing with Lily, Lindow is granted the ability to generate a single blade of pure thunder magic from his body. This blade can extend outward up to five yards and vibrates at a frequency high enough to melt through basic armor. Those struck with the third blade are violently electrocuted, and find themselves unable to cast magic until the blade is removed from their body. This skill can only be used twice per day.

[spoiler=Chuunibyou Level: Over 9000!!! (WIP)]

Personal Information

Name: Qali Kvallen

Age: 278

Gender: Female

Race: Elf

Element: Wind

[spoiler=Appearance]Picture: http://touch.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=medium&illust_id=56582106

When she was Chosen, the only response she had was "Of course!" and took initiative to travel towards the Mage Tower.

Taking self-preservation as a priority, she has become used to having to steal or sacrifice others for survival, such as by using others as bait to escape. Unless she was truly desperate though, she avoids killing innocents with her own hands.

In uncomfortable situations, Qali is noticeably more obnoxious and loud with her fantastical lies.

[spoiler=Skills/Equipment]

The venom reacts upon contact with blood and petrifies the area around the wound.

[spoiler=Spirit Information]Name: Baal Mercurius, the Grand Fury of the Wind

[spoiler=Appearance]An ethereal parrot made of light, as seen in Qali's picture. He is about a foot long.

[spoiler=Personality]Baal is an archetypal Gandalf. A wise old sage full of wisdom and sagacity. Old, wizened, and yet capable of seeing the world with a child's delight. His enjoyments are journeys and seeing others grow. A very kind and helpful soul, he tends to spout aphorisms and give advice when needed. However, he tends to be rather stubborn and often finds himself lacking the energy to keep up with Qali's ramblings.

Freedom is what he values the most.

The main problem I have with this is she could fairly easily travel across a mile of distance in an hour without tiring or having to cross over any potentially dangerous land.

Otherwise, it's very possible we'll have our Wind Chosen~

[spoiler=Chuunibyou Level: Over 9000!!! (WIP)]

Personal Information

Name: Qali Kvallen

Age: 278

Gender: Female

Race: Elf

Element: Wind

[spoiler=Appearance]Picture: http://touch.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=medium&illust_id=56582106

When she was Chosen, the only response she had was "Of course!" and took initiative to travel towards the Mage Tower.

[spoiler=Skills/Equipment]

The venom reacts upon contact with blood and petrifies the area around the wound.

[spoiler=Appearance]An ethereal parrot made of light, as seen in Qali's picture. He is about a foot long.

His enjoyments are journeys and seeing others grow. A very kind and helpful soul, he tends to spout aphorisms and give advice when needed. However, he tends to be rather stubborn and often finds himself lacking the energy to keep up with Qali's ramblings.

[spoiler=Personal Skill]Can divide into three smaller birds and interact with the world. If one body is killed, a day is needed to regenerate.

[spoiler=The Blizzard]

UCToCSN.png

"So one time I forgot to eat my fifth meal of the day and my stomach caved in and I thought I was gonna die which would suck a lot but then I ate and then I didn't die so yay!"

Name: Gillian "Gilly" Hornblower

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Race: Halfling

Element: Ice

[spoiler=Appearance]

dIyWjTD.png

HT: 3'10"

WT: 65 lbs

[spoiler=Personality]

Energetic, Gilly loves to explore and seems to lack a sense of self-preservation. More often than not, her friend Hob pulls her out from the fire. Generally a happy person, she can also be a bit dramatic, especially in regards to food, which she worships. In her opinion, one must eat at least five meals a day--it used to be seven but then she whittled it down to five after seven grew impossible on the road. One might think, because of her monkey-like tendencies, she would be a tomboy. She is, but she also has a girly side in her love of cute things. When she sees something cute, she tends to drop all reasoning and chase after it so she can cuddle it.

In Gilly's mind, she is serious with serious problems. Like, what to eat for dinner. That's a serious problem. Or what to eat for breakfast. It's good to plan ahead. She has priorities, and they don't match up to most people's. Food is more important than danger. She would walk into a monster's den so she wouldn't have to skip a meal. Because of this, she tends to come across as silly and frivolous to others.

When she merges with Snow, however, she becomes a bit different. Colder, more like the element she represents.

[spoiler=Biography]

Gilly was born on a small village in the Bor Mountains. Unlike most other halflings, her family was a hardy one, and she learned the ins and outs of mountain-climbing from her parents, to the point people started calling her a little mountain goat. This nickname stuck after she met an injured baby sheep. It looked to have broken its legs from a hard fall, and had been abandoned by its parents. Nursing it back to health, Gilly named it Hob and they became the best of friends.

One day, after her fourteenth year, Gilly went wandering a little too far and got lost, eventually finding a bridge. She wandered across that and across the mountains after that. There was a friendly white rabbit that sometimes appeared to her and they would play games of chase and somehow, in doing so, she avoided all the monsters in the mountains. After crossing the mountains, she wandered into the war between Kelna and Coombe in Oebrushire, where she was recruited and trained to be a soldier by Kelna. However, she ended up hopeless at it, and wandered away again, keeping the armor for protection.

A week ago, Gilly met the rabbit from before again, except this time it spoke to her, revealing itself to be the spirit of ice. Since then, she's been learning how to use its magic, which she seems to be better at than fighting.

[spoiler=Skills and Equipment]

[spoiler=Combat Skills]

Melee - Gilly has basic knowledge of fighting. However, she's hopeless at it.

Icicle Spear - Using her magic, Gilly forms a spear made out of ice which she uses to fight with. However, her poor combat ability make this a bad idea. If she's riding Hob, his steering might let her hit the target. Might.

Hail - Gilly can freeze the water in the air to form ice balls that rain down on her opponents.

[spoiler=Non-Combat Skills]

-Mountain climbing

-Walking on ice without slipping (hey, that's a real skill)

-Foraging

-Cooking

[spoiler=Equipment]

-Shield

-Armor

-Food

-Magic plate

-Stamina Potion - Gives a boost of energy that lasts several hours and lets the user perform better for 30 minutes.

[spoiler=Spirit Information]

"My name is Snow, coldest of the spirits."

Name: Jon Snow

[spoiler=Appearance]

XVbvTvQ.png

HT: 1'00"

WT: 2 lbs

Looks just like a regular rabbit.

[spoiler=Personality]

Quite unlike their Chosen, Snow is emotionless and practical, coming across as almost heartless at times. Despite their cute appearance, their words are harsh and unforgiving. They're a bit spoiled though, preferring to be carried rather than walking on their own.

[spoiler=Skills]

Shiva: When merged, Gilly becomes able to cast a spell Snow calls "Diamond Dust" (Gilly calls it sparkle attack). Charging up power in her hands, she throws a ball of power which, when it lands, freezes the ground in an area six feet in diameter, icicles sprouting up from it (just like the FF move). However, once she casts this spell, she separates from Snow. She also cannot cast this spell more than once a day.

Spirit: While incorporeal, Snow can jump as high as twelve feet, though it doesn't do anybody much good since they're in spirit form.

Winter: When corporeal, Snow can summon a small snowstorm three feet around him. This makes him almost invisible and tends to freeze the skin of anybody who comes in contact with it.

[spoiler=Mount Information]

Name: Hob

Age: 5 years

Gender: Male

Race: Aries sheep

[spoiler=Appearance]

Larger than the average mountain sheep, Hob is just the right size for an Aries sheep however. He is also super fluffy.

[spoiler=Personality]

Gentle and docile, Hob is extremely patient and protective of Gilly. He's also good with strangers and children. Can be surprisingly vain about his appearance, and likes to keep clean so he looks and smells good. Loves it when Gilly grooms him.

[spoiler=Biography]

Hob was born to a pair of Aries sheep. However, unlike most other Aries sheep, who learn to walk the treacherous mountain slopes soon after birth, he had a bit of trouble, and fell from a high height into a crevice, where he broke his legs on impact. His parents gave him up for dead, and it was only through the efforts of Gilly and her family that he managed to recover, and from then on he learned to walk just like the other Aries sheep.

[spoiler=Species Information]

Aries sheep are a bit larger than average mountain sheep, and look exactly like them, so it's hard to tell the difference between them and regular sheep. However, they have longer lifespans, living almost as long as a human being. Not only that, but they are known to be able to withstand extreme temperatures and climb almost vertical slopes. Aggressive when provoked, they do not hesitate to kick or headbutt anybody who attacks them. Hob is a particularly strong specimen, and makes up for his rider's lack of ability with his own.

Wasn't going to post an app for this RP, but it looks interesting and almost a month is a bit much to wait for people to get off their butts and finish their characters.

[spoiler=Witch Hunter]

5vAK9o4.jpg

"Sure, I suppose I don't mind playing hero just this once..."

Name: Lindow Artoria

Age: 24

Gender: Male

Race: Human

Element: Thunder

[spoiler=Appearance]

Date.Masamune.(Sengoku.Basara).full.1498

Lindow is a tall slim-built gentleman, standing at 6'0 and weighing 151 lbs.

[spoiler=Biography]

Fascinated by the spirit's proposition, Lindow accepted Lily's partnership, assuming his mantle as the Chosen of Thunder.

.

[spoiler=Personality]

[spoiler=Skills and Equipment]

[spoiler=Equipment]

 -Abyss Seeker's Silver Longsword x1

-Abyss Seeker's Iron dagger x2

-Bag of bribing money

-Herbs used to induce a sudden rush of adrenaline x3

- Abyss Seeker's light armor robes x1

- Dark Blue cloak x1

[spoiler=Other]

[spoiler=Spirit Information]Name: Lily

"You lazy bastard!"

[spoiler=Appearance]

raijuu_by_lightning_spirit-d482z0t.jpg

Lilly stands at 8inches but grows to a staggering 3 feet during thunderstorms.

[spoiler=Personality]

[spoiler=Skills]

Personal:

-Discharge: Lily can discharge a large amount of electricity into the air around her, shocking and stunning all those caught in it's area of effect.

-Possession: Lily can place her spiritual form into any conductive object, enchanting it with the effect of electrifying things it comes it with. Lily maintains a large amount of control over the current of the charged object and is able to direct it away from the handle when possessing weapons.

This skill can only be used twice per day.

funking hell wtf that bio.

Hmm. I worry he seems too strong compared to the rest still but it might be fine.

Because of the nature of him being Chosen he wouldn't have as strong a connection to the spirit as the rest, remember that. I might have the transferred skill fail completely at times.

Other than that, I'd like if you chose one of the two personal skills, and for the first give an area that gets affected and for the first a duration.

[spoiler=Skills and Equipment]

[spoiler=Equipment]

-Abyss Seeker's Silver Longsword x1

-Abyss Seeker's Iron dagger x2

-Bag of bribing money

-Herbs used to induce a sudden rush of adrenaline x3

[spoiler=Spirit Information]Name: Lily

"You lazy bastard!"

[spoiler=Appearance]

raijuu_by_lightning_spirit-d482z0t.jpg

Lilly stands at 8inches but grows to a staggering 3 feet during thunderstorms.

[spoiler=Personality]

[spoiler=Skills]

And there we go. The Thunder Chosen!

Now we just need Ice. :o

[spoiler=The Blizzard]

UCToCSN.png

"So one time I forgot to eat my fifth meal of the day and my stomach compressed and I thought I was gonna die which would suck a lot but then I ate and then I didn't die so yay!"

Name: Gillian "Gilly" Hornblower

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Race: Halfling

Element: Ice

[spoiler=Appearance]

dIyWjTD.png

HT: 3'10"

WT: 65 lbs

[spoiler=Personality]

[spoiler=Biography]

[spoiler=Skills and Equipment]

[spoiler=Combat Skills]

[spoiler=Non-Combat Skills]

-Mountain climbing

-Walking on ice without slipping (hey, that's a real skill)

-Foraging

-Cooking

[spoiler=Equipment]

-Shield

-Armor

-Food

[spoiler=Spirit Information]

Name: Jon Snow

[spoiler=Appearance]

XVbvTvQ.png

HT: 1'00"

WT: 2 lbs

Looks just like a regular rabbit.

[spoiler=Personality]

Quite unlike their Chosen, Snow is emotionless and practical, coming across as almost heartless at times. Despite their cute appearance, their words are harsh and unforgiving. They're a bit spoiled though, preferring to be carried rather than walking on their own.

[spoiler=Skills]

[spoiler=Mount Information]

Name: Hob

Age: 5 years

Gender: Male

Race: Aries sheep

[spoiler=Appearance]

Larger than the average mountain sheep, Hob is just the right size for an Aries sheep however. He is also super fluffy.

[spoiler=Personality]

Gentle and docile, Hob is extremely patient and protective of Gilly. He's also good with strangers and children. Can be surprisingly vain about his appearance, and likes to keep clean so he looks and smells good. Loves it when Gilly grooms him.

[spoiler=Biography]

[spoiler=Species Information]

And the final Chosen is here, welcome Chosen of Ice!

And now that that's done, I will in a couple days work on the IC~

I have a Skype chat for this thing, with no one in it. But I have...everyone's Skype already here so if you want to be in it message me and I'll add you to it.

So apparently:

Fire and Thunder attract

Dark and Nature attract

Water and Wind attract

Earth and Ice attract

Light stands alone

Fire and Water repel

Dark and Earth repel

Nature and Ice repel

Thunder and Wind repel

Light stands alone

Okay so bumping this up.

[spoiler=After IC]Soooo, congrats, you won the first battle! At the cost of one Chosen. The first death, Aix's Qali. However that was more due to inactivity and loss of interest/time to post than to any flaw in the combat. It was close, I will say, but I appreciate the amount of communication you guys had with this. Hopefully we can continue it.

And now it's time to rest, interact, and ask the Council what you want. You can ask me, and I can give the answers. As well as ask me for any other details needed.
