Welcome back to D'Sceptyr's Daily 2, where the cards are awesome and the artwork in the center of 'em don't matter! (Cause they're not mine. Savvy?)


 


I kid though- without 'em, though, I'd be a total loss, much like a Barnes and Noble across the street from a Blockbuster.

Quick-Play Spell Card

 

Lore: When a monster(s) you control is destroyed or banished by an opponent's card effect, while you control no other cards in your Spell & Trap Zones: Special Summon 1 monster from your Deck with the same Attribute, but not the same Type, as 1 of those destroyed or banished monsters, and if you do, it cannot be destroyed by 1 battle this turn. If you control 3 or more monsters with the same Type, you can activate this card from your hand during your opponent's Main Phase 1.


 


Yeah, I made this out of support for the Zefras and Gishkis. Yeah I know-with D/Ds and Cyber Angels, their spiritual successors, in board-wrecking play, why bother?


 


Well I actually thought those two archetypes were good even with the handicapping of their chief hand-defiling and Graveyard spinning tandem being limited.


 


Also I still own a Gishki Deck. And a Armageddon Ritual Deck. With Djinns of Ritual. YES I'M OLD I GET IT.

Continuous Trap Card

 

Lore: When this card is activated: Set 1 "2nd Second" directly from your Deck, or if you cannot, destroy this card. 1 of your Spell & Trap Card Zones cannot be used. During the end of the turn this face-up card was destroyed, if there are 2 or more copies of "2nd Second" in your Graveyard: You can return 1 of your cards from your Graveyard to your hand that was destroyed this turn for every 1000 LP you lost this turn, except "2nd Second", and if you do, halve your LP. You can only use this effect of "2nd Second" once per turn.


 


This one came out of the personal challenge of creating a card that would justifiably be SEMI-limited, and no further. To actually do that is a challenge-has to have an effect too good to repeat twice, but not broken enough to bother repeating once. And with the state this card leaves your LP in and the existence of often-used damage-dealing masters (coughRedEyesFlareMetalDragoncoughcough) I think this works.


 


Review 'em at will folks. I happily adjust to the whims of the reasonable.
