[Theoritical] the SPYral "Leak"

SAUCE: https://ygorganization.com/tcg-a-partial-sneak-peek-at-the-spyrals/

so yeah its basically a official sneak-peek on SPYral. but instead of full-effect and stat, they gave us art (quite clear though) and hint's of possible stat and effect (granted there be no changes though).

4 card art, with 4-5 line of hint each:

[spoiler= "Bond-ish one"]

“This guy is kinda the main hero of the deck”
“He rewards you for using information correctly”
“He beat Stratos up in a bar fight”
“Other cards revolve around this particular card”

[spoiler= "Q-ish one"]

"Machine Duplication is bananas with this card”
“There’s an omission of once per turn on this card on purpose”
“Works very well at making sure your agent never goes unprepared into the field”
“If you’re playing SPYRAL, you’re going to want multiples of this card.”
“Not a secret rare”

[spoiler= "Lamborghini-ish one"]

“Very very powerful card”
“Doesn’t just work with the agent”
“There is a forbidden card with a similar effect”
“You know when the hero in the movie sets off a giant explosion and you’re not sure if he comes out alive? Suddenly he drives out of the smoke in his sports car and off into the sunset. That’s what this card is like.”

[spoiler= "Drone-ish one"]

“Works very well with your agent”
“Gives you information and lets you manipulate that information in limited amounts”
“Can give you surprise bonuses that catch your opponent off-guard”
“You’ll want to get into a habit of playing this card before you play your agent, because it will make your agent significantly better if you know what is coming up”

there you have it. let's discuss.

My take: every single hint on them so far always mention them about "using information about opponent against them". so their player need to thoroughly know/predict the next move off opponent (to the exact point i believe). hinting that the archetype constantly working in tandem with effects that allow the player to peek their opponent set cards or hand. as for the typing i say it gonna be a one or a combination of Warrior and/or Machine type (or probably full machine giving its not rare that art which is human in flesh to be refer as machine for sake of being Gadget master...and the Machine Dupe hint).

Mr Bond here claiming him self to beat Stratos huh? and most of their strategy revolving around him?, i getting Bujin Yamato vibe on this card. and his stat could go as high as 1900+. between him and Mr Q, i have premonition that Mr Bond only search monster while Mr Q handle the S/T

Q wannabe over here has 500 less on ATK stat and hinting the monster type as Machine. and he has support effect that can be activated numerous time in succession. the support effect is super important (or for the worst: mediocre enough) that they intentionally making his rarity lower for sake of SPYral player get all 3 of his copies. i already mention on Mr Bond that Mr Q here could be gonna search S/T, opening up possibility of their framework is gonna similar to Noble Knights or Fire Fist

the Dope Ride has really cool art and possibly having a near-generic effect which making it good from the start and opening hybrid built. that hint on movie reference could be that this ride either gonna protect the agents or reviving them. what more to it that the line "You know when the hero in the movie sets off a giant explosion" suggesting that it also help to cause some sort of removal on top of protecting or reviving the agents. so far the forbidden cards match the very description in my opinion would be: Cyber Jar, Morphing Jar #2, Substitoad, and Last Will

lastly the drone. lore wise, it validating the theory of this archetype needing the constant peeking on opponent cards. i kinda theorize that aside of Mr Bond all other Monster of the SPYral gonna have really weak stat, only built to support Mr Bond, or easy to removed out side of their support card like the Lamborghini (kinda like Bujin) . thus a through further planning is heavily needed to prevent field disadvantage constantly. hence to always Peeking cards to make sure such planning

NOTE: again this is highly theoritical, it maybe not worth a place in this section. Mods fell free to move the thread in more proper section

PS: im just love the Archetype Logo of these guys. its a letter S and Y that combine into unlocked padlock after being lock-picked

Love the art; like an old 90's anime, kinda. Judging from the "manipulate information" gist of the stuff they say, seems like these cards let you see what your opponent has face-down or what is in their hand. Hyped.

And maybe even some discards? The SPYRALs seem to me like they will sabotage the opponent's hand, so they can't make the moves they want. Either way, I like them and I've put in a order for an Dark Illusion Booster Box.

You know, I didn't think about this before, but are BOTH the TCG exclusive archetypes high rarity (They specifically mentioned otacon not being a secret, implying maybe some of them are)? Because if so, funk you konami.

I hope these guys aren't high rarity (I kinda want to build them myself), besides I think these are the U.A/Kaiju equivalent (based on set numbers), though I do think at least one of these will probs be Ultra.

See, but between U.A. and Kaiju, only ONE card (Interrupted Kaiju Slumber) was above rare; I can believe a couple cards being supers since they're fairly common now, but if some of these are high rarity, then I'm gonna be a bit peeved from a semantics standpoint.

My initial impression with this is that it's going to be Kozmo-esque, with ??? type spys and Machine-type spy technology stuff.

However, unlike Kozmo, where you just float between them, these guys will actually work in tandem.

That makes Q's hint, and his art, make a bit more sense:

"Machine Duplication is bananas with this card”

the card shown clearly isn't a machine, so it must instead set up a combo with the spy tech monsters.
“There’s an omission of once per turn on this card on purpose”

make of it what you will
“Works very well at making sure your agent never goes unprepared into the field”

Here's the biggest clue.  If the deck has interaction as I've described, then this guy's effect is probably something along the lines of:

When you ??? summon a ???-type SPYral (or maybe If you control a [...]): You can ??? this card; Special Summon 1 Machine-Type SPYral monster from ???

“If you’re playing SPYRAL, you’re going to want multiples of this card.”

If it's anything like I've predicted, hell yes you will.

I think that's the most likely scenario for how this deck is gonna work

I think the car will be an archetypal Monster Reborn.

I think Mind Crush is gonna be a nice card with this deck.

I hope Bond shuffles himself into the opponent's deck (Parasite Paracide style) like a spy infiltrating the enemy HQ. But that's just because I love that mechanic.

So....

Is This Archetype just going to be 'topdeck Machine Dupe, or you lose'?

If so..... It's really going to kill any potential This Archetype has, regardless of how broken they promise the car is.

lol m8 even Deskbots wasn't like that

I can possibly see one of these being a Super, but yeah I'll also be annoyed if some of these end up Ultra/Secret.

Here's a thought....

The car: There is a forbidden card with a similar effect

And given the fact SPYRALs hint at some kind of hand control and/or effects based on knowing stuff...

What do you want to bet the car's effect is similar to Confiscation?

>Confiscation

That reminds me when Crowler used it to send Jaden's Monster Reborn to the grave in episode 1. I can see that though since it gives you information.
