Heart of the Hearth (An Ode to a Forum)

Now, as so many people who noticed the timestamp on my profile page may have recognized, I am 7 years old in Yugioh Cardmaker years. Which probably explains why it took me ages to make a decent looking Secret Rare card.

But I've never had a chance to properly express my gratitude for the people on this forum that made me such a stalwart Yu-Gi-Oh enthusiast. Especially the critics. While greatness came and went, THEY were the ones improving the canvas by pointing out the blots. And but for them, I would have lost interest in being as attentive to my work as I am right now.

So for them, for the wonderful crafters on this site, and the millions who we get our inspirations (and illustrations) from, I present you with the only poem I ever made before I hit voting age-on a Normal Pendulum Monster.

Boooooooooooo-  is the sound ghosts make, not sensible-ass human beings. Now sit back and enjoy, Downer Debbie.

[spoiler=Heart of the Hearth: Errata]

EARTH/Machine-Type Pendulum Monster/Level 8/2900 ATK/1000 DEF

Scales: 3/3

Pendulum Lore: When this card is placed in a Pendulum Zone: You can activate this effect; during the End Phase of the next turn after activating this effect, activate 1 Field Spell Card directly from your Deck (even if this card is no longer on the field.) You can only use this effect of "Heart of the Hearth" once per Duel. If a Field Spell Card(s) on the field would be destroyed, you can Special Summon this card from your Pendulum Zone in Defense Position instead.

Lore: When the first spark of light coursed through its head, it arose with grandiose flair.  When it was rejected by its creator and all it engaged, it soon became self-aware. When it saved a village from a rampaging dragon, it showed a will to survive. But only when that community made it one of their own, could it truly be called 'alive'.

BDS, signing off (Not PERMANENTLY, folks. This time, I'm in for the LONG HAUL.)

So you can add this card via Summoning Art, which is already a plus. It helps set up Field Spell Cards, which is okay; nothing too impressive. However, it Special Summons itself from the Pendulum Zone if a Field Spell would leave the field. It sounds good in premise, but this card would leave the field rather quickly with that DEF. And there aren't enough Scale 9 monsters that could help Summon this.

Eh, this card is here mostly for the sentimental value. Make of it what you will. And I know it's hard to Pendulum Summon: that's why I gave it the Summoning effect. Just find something that would nuke Spell/Traps, and you can bring this out on your turn. Maybe Double Cyclone.

This would help Field Spell reliant decks be able to set up even if a bit slow. In something like UA's it would give you access to their field spell and under the right circumstances you could combo Playmaker to make Hope Harbinger or any other 8s. You could use it in any deck that plays Sky Iris. Or even Amorphages. And possibly Qli. It's got a lot of potential. Hell you could even use Ehther to grab this guy and set up a weird Domain play.

It can be used in Zefra for an Oracle search. But nothing besides a Sky Iris comes really close to relevant via Meta decks
