These cards feature characters from the novel I am currently working on (which will be garbage lmao). Their designs began as a challenge for myself to create characters that were as weirdly unique as possible, while sticking to a gothic theme.

The story follows a young boy who finds himself thrown into an unknown world, far different from any he had ever seen. As he goes deeper, he meets Elders, great monsters that guard this world, keeping him from escape.

Most of the cards are the elders as monsters, which are used as ridiculously powerful bosses that lock down your opponent's plays, but are relatively easy to get rid of (at a cost) and prevent you from using any other kinds of cards. Their goal is to force your opponent to pay too many LP until they cannot afford to lose any more.

Uniquely, they have a resistance to Solemn cards, because they would die anyway, and are ridiculously easy to summon with a lot of payoff.

Their weakness lies in their lack of splashability. Cards like Twin Twisters to clear back row, along with high-power attacks, can potentially harm them quite a bit.

Its effects are negated, it cannot declare an attack or be tributed, and it cannot be used as a material for a summon. When this card attacks a "Collideoscope" monster: You can destroy that monster at the start of the damage step. Once per turn, if a "Collideoscope" monster would be sent to the Graveyard while this card is face-up on the field: add it to your hand.

During your opponent's Main Phase 1: They can pay 2000 LP; destroy this card. When this card is summoned: You can target 1 "Collideoscope" monster in your Graveyard; this effect becomes that card's effects, and this card's ATK and DEF become that card's. You can discard this card from your hand, then target up to 3 "Collideoscope" Cards in your Graveyard; shuffle them into the deck, and if you do, Special Summon 1 "Collideoscope - Noel the Hero" from your deck. You can only use this effect of "Collideoscope - Leon of the Panopticon" once per turn.

There must be no other cards in your hand or on your side of the field in order to activate and resolve this effect.

I really like the idea. Unfortunately there is a glaring hole in the card design. On all of the monsters, it reads "During your opponent's Main Phase 1: They can pay 2000 LP; destroy this card," but since your opponent controls that card, you would be the "opponent" refered to in the card description. The wording of "your opponent" and you are really important for these cards, becuase most of the time you will not be controlling them.

The wording of "your opponent" and you are really important for these cards, becuase most of the time you will not be controlling them.

Wouldn't you be controlling them if you summoned them by yourself?

 

Noir negates their effects when they go to the opponent's side of the field, so neither player could use their effects. When one is inherently summoned to your side, it should be able to be destroyed by your opponent.

Most of the time you would be controlling the cards.
