Yugioh: Forsaken Legends [IC/PG-16/Not Accepting]

Tycho's eye twitched as Kagami explained the way her cards were working. "Your monsters act as Magic and Trap cards?" he asked, hardly able to believe it. His Phoenix fell back, floating away from Kagami's Lancea as it appeared on the field.

1700 attack points... I can't defeat that, not yet... He swept a hand out, his monsters dissolving into globes of orange and green light. "Using my two Level 4 monsters, I construct the Overlay Network! Lineage of pride, form into the paragon! Bring the skirmish together! Xyz Summon! Heraldry Patriarch!"

Tycho's Heraldry Patriarch rose from the Overlay Network, a spire of blue ice surrounding a glowing red eye. The blue disk that circled it whirled ominously, the blades that stuck from its surface glinting in the sunlight.

Heraldry Patriarch

2200/2200

"I'll place this monster in defense mode," Tycho stated, taking a step back and massaging his shoulder. The stab wound he had suffered still ached, and his face fell into a grimace. The pain was only part of it, though. Something felt off. It took him a second, but he then figured it out. The light that reflected off his Patriarch's body was dimming. The sun above was being slowly cloaked in cloud cover, dark, ominous-looking clouds that unnaturally drew from across the sky.

"What is..." Thycho turned back to look over his shoulder. He could see the point where the clouds were all collecting behind him. Most of the audience didn't seem to notice anything off about the clouds, but Tycho could see they were collecting roughly above where he knew Blues had begun his duel with the man who had wounded Tycho.

"Kaiba..." He frowned, unsettled by the sight above him. Was this an effect of a Wicked God being played in the duel?

I have to finish this, and quickly! he thought, looking down at his hand. But how... She's assembled a wall before me... Even if I move to dismantle it she'll be able to summon them all as monster cards... It was then that his eyes rested on one card in his hand in particular. His eyes narrowed, and he began to think hard about something Kagami had said. Something regarding her Artifact monsters and how they worked.

"I place one card face-down," he said abruptly, finally breaking the minutes-long silence he had been holding as he placed a card on his Duel Disk. "My turn is over."

"All that thinking just to play one card?!" demanded a voice from behind him in the stands. Tycho ignored it. His eyes were on the clouds, peering at them and only sparing Kagami a fleeting glance every now and then.

"It is now my turn, draw." The girl said calmly, bringing the card to her hand. Her expression stayed level as she brought the card to the field. "First, I summon Star Drawing. Sadly, unlike the rest of my cards, this was is neither a spell nor trap. Yet even still it has its place." As she said this, a small, android looking school girl with a staff appeared. "You see, while it may be a level four monster, Star Drawing is able to count itself as a level 5 monster. As I now, technically have two level five monsters on my field," her gaze shifted to the xyz monster Tycho had on the field saying, "you must know what comes next."

"I overlay my level 5 Star Drawing and Level 5 Artifact Lancea." As she declared this, a vortex appeared in the ground. Star Drawing drew a small star in the air with her staff, grasping it before turning into a stream of light alongside Lancea, floating into the void. "Beast of rage, breath of fire, come forth and burn that what stands in your way! Xyz Summon! Blaze, Rank 5, Volcasaurus!" A stream of fire erupted from the vortex as the dinosaur roared to life, the two overlay materials orbiting around it. A small star appeared to drift off of the xyz monster, going to Kagami's hand and turning into a card. "When Star Drawing is used to summon an Xyz Monster, it also allows me to draw one card. Next, I activate Volcasaurus's effect, detaching one overlay unit, it can destroy one monster you control and deal damage equal to its attack points. Unfortunately, you only have one monster on the field, so there isn't much of a choice to be made." As she said this, the overlay material was crunched down by the dinosaur, before it shot a stream of flame at the floating gem. As the gem was destroyed, the flames surged past the monster, dealing damage directly to Tycho.

Tycho LP: 8000---->5800

"Sadly, or fortunately, however you look at it, Volcasaurus cannot attack the turn it activates this effect."

Despite the damage he had just incurred, Tycho did not seem defeated, in fact quite the opposite. "Your attacks pack quite a punch... I had hoped they would. Activate Trap card! Chain Whirlwind!" As he said this, the flames that had just burned him started to gather in a twister, roaring towards two of Kagami's set cards, destroying them; sending Artifact Scythe and Artifact Achilleshield to the graveyard. "Chain Whirlwind destroys two of your Magic or Trap cards whenever you destroy one of my own cards." A small satisfied smile formed on his face. "I found the weakness in your wall, Kagami. Your Artifact monsters can't release their true power on your own turn, meaning I'm free to destroy them. Not only that, but I'm also able to use Patriarch's effect whenever it's sent to the Graveyard!"

As the man sent two of his monsters from his deck to the graveyard, Kagami simply stood there. Contrary to one might think, the same level smile remained on her face and she seemed to be giving him a small round of applause. "Very good. I certainly wasn't expecting a counter-attack to that so soon, and for that I must give you praise. Though, I suppose it would be problematic if you couldn't have." Her tone made it hard to tell if she was being genuine or patronizing to the man, and she seemed to think about something briefly. "Well, all the same, please. Continue to show me your brilliance. I set one card face-down, and with that, my turn ends."

-The Moonlit Magician-

~Citadel of Endymion~

"I like you, boy! With your new found determination, I'm sure we'll get through this war!"

Daichi coughed greatly when he felt Benkei slapping his back like this. He lost his balance some, before doing his best to both regain his composure and breath. Jeez...they got quick a hand... he thought, only nodding at Benkei after regaining himself. However, now his attention was turned to those who exited the train: the Amazoness.

And specifically...them moving towards Wade of all people.

"Daddy!"
"Hey girls, Dad's home!"

"Daddy??" Daichi asked, a little dumbstruck at what he just heard the three Amazoness monsters call the strange Duelist that was Wade.

I know not, but I can feel my brother's rage. The least I can do is help ease the pain he forces you to endure during it. You need not fear the chance to flee from your unfair prison, let my friend help you. And while it's just us, feel free to envision my friend, as some would put it, 'plant his metalic fist into your master's face with a vengeance'.

Jet was pretty surprised that Ancient Pixie spoke this way. It seemed not only Kuria was wanting to help him, but his monster was too. Though one thing lingered in his mind a bit: she said "her brother's rage". Was Ancient Pixie and Stardust Spark somehow connected? He couldn't be certain, nor could he immediately ask this question to the melodic voice.

No...instead he only spoke in a somber tone.

I-It's not that simple... he thought once more to the dragon. I...I can't just leave. Akihiro Aichi...the doctor...h-h-he's my legal guardian. A-And I have to do what he says... Jet's thoughts paused for a moment. If I don't...then I'll be disposed of...l-like the other failures.

The tension now in the atmosphere was strong, as silence filled the void where Ancient Pixie and Jet were. However, the Duelist continued.

T-They've put so much work into...w-whatever they did to me...and...and I don't want to die. N-Nor do I want to b-be alone again. he paused before seeming to grow distant. I'm sorry...b-but I have to be the soldier who f-follows his orders...I was stupid enough to believe that I could be anything and be free...this is how the world is.

"First, I play Pot of Greed! This lets me draw two cards from my deck!"

Excuse you?

"Now, I activate the Field Spell Mound of the Bound Creator! While this card is activate, Level 10 or higher monsters on the field cannot be targeted or destroyed by card effects! And now, I activate Soul Charge! By reducing my life in increments of 1000, I can Special Summon monsters from my graveyard to my field! I'll summon three of them!"

"Not so fast!" Ayame interrupted. She wasn't sure what Nero was up to, but it couldn't be good news. "I'll activate Cyber Dragon Infinity's effect! By detaching a material, I can negate the activation of a card!"

"Well, then it's a good thing I have this Quick Play spell in my hand! I activate Forbidden Chalice! Your monster gains 400 attack, but its effect is negated! And now, I summon three demons of the Burning Abyss. It doesn't matter though, because now, I sacrifice them! I now summon the Wicked Sacred Beast, Shin Raviel, Emperor of Phantasms! Now, what will you do against such might?! Due to Soul Charge, I can not attack, so I end my turn!"

"I think Raviel has had its power increased by the Wicked Gods. Be careful, we have no idea what it can do now."

Ayame could agree with that much. She had no idea what this monster was capable of, and she was fine with playing it safe until she figured that out and could hit a weak spot. Following Blues came Hanae's turn.

"I set Chimera Raflessia and Saraceniant to defense mode.That ends my turn."

And thus it promptly ended. Now it was on Ayame. "My turn!" Ayame drew her card. Only three cards in her hand, against an unknown opponent. This was the kind of uphill battle Ayame strove for. Two traps, and one spell. A plan was forming though, but it would take time. It also hinges on him having no resources to play with. Talk about being in hot water.

"I activate the spell card Cyber Repair Plant! This allows me to add a LIGHT Machine-Type monster from my Deck to my hand, or shuffle one from my Graveyard into the Deck. Even better, when there are three or more monsters named Cyber Dragon - which Cyber Dragon Core is treated as on the field or in the Graveyard - I can do both of those things! I add Cyber Dragon Core from the Deck to my hand, and return a Cyber Dragon from the Graveyard to the Deck." Ayame took a brief moment to move her cards around, before continuing.

"Next, I Normal Summon my newly-added Cyber Dragon Core, and activate its effect!" As a token monster appeared on Nero's field, in defense position, Ayame explained "I can now add one 'Cyber' Spell or Trap Card from the Deck to my hand. I choose another copy of Cyber Repair Plant! I then place two cards face-down, and end my turn."

Ayame had an idea, but she'd have to stall for time. Hopefully it paid off.

"Nah, not me. I can see Duel Spirits, but that's about it. Any other questions?"

After a bit of banter between Yugo and Kyouji, the latter had questions for both Furiko and Aika. She was rather surprised by Furiko's answer to why she wanted to be duel queen, and Aika honestly believed her answer to what she had planned to do before getting caught up in this mess was nowhere near as impressive.

"I jus' wanted to be a pro duelist," Aika answered. "Find some way to suppress psychic powers, too. Weaker psychics got it easy, but for me this gets old fast."

~Kuria's POV~

"My first memories were at the Turbo City orphanage."

That sounds exactly like Jet, Kuria thought, lowering his gaze in thought from it, listening to the rest as he mused.

"Yeah, who do you think will kick your ass first?" Kuria heard Yugo ask of Kyouji, who chuckled and shook his head.

"No one in this room, how about that," was the answer given, which was what got the cyborg to look up and narrow his eyes at the Duel King. He had half a mind to test that theory, but knew that now would probably be a bad time for things like that.

The questions asked and the answers given had Kuria feel like the odd man out of the room. He admittedly had no real aspirations in regards to dueling. He just did it because it was fun...and occasionally gave him a way to settle scores without having to resort to beating the sheet out of people.

And with that, Kuria frowned.

"I feel like the odd one here with the dueling scene. I think I'm the only one without aspirations to become the Duel King or similar. I just play because I like the game." Kuria glanced towards the direction of the duel being shown outside with only his living eye, making him look off as he appeared to be looking in two separate directions at once as the mechanical eye stayed on the group. "Hell, I only joined this competition in hopes of getting to duel that kid again and try to get through his thick skull that he needed to get out of his situation."

~~~~
~Miero's POV~
"Oh sweet Jesus!"
He let out a muted yelp as Wade wound up grabbing his arm in the attempt to hide behind the tall man, the madman making himself as small as possible. Miero couldn't help but look down, glancing towards Wade in a way that made it look like he was trying to see through himself. "I didn't take you for being a Christian," he faintly joked.
"I'm not here!" The faint hiss of a whisper had him looking away towards what Wade had ran from, seeing a group of...kid monsters? The twins among them he recognized as the Amazoness Scouts, and the other two he recognized as Amazoness Princess and Amazoness Trainee. However, he couldn't help but keep his gaze on the Princess of the children that filed behind him to literally hang on to Wade's limbs, feeling that somehow he did not think that particular one was really related to Wade. Still, he couldn't help the snicker and snort that came out of him at the sight.
A white ghostly figure manifested near Miero, one some would recognize as being the White Lady from Miero's deck. She seemed to be looking up slightly, in a standing posture relaxed yet she looked somber as she held her hands together in front of herself. The glazed-over look in her eyes suggests that she was seeing things the others would be unable to witness for themselves.
"...White Lady?"
"One of the lesser three has revealed itself upon the mortal coil," she stated cryptically, something that made Miero frown. "Phantasms strengthened by the Wicked ones threaten the other world."
~~~~

If I don't...then I'll be disposed of...l-like the other failures.

The melodic voice waited until he was done before adopting a firm stern voice, as if a parent scolding a child. And whom is to say that you will not be disposed of after they finally get what they wish from you?

Waiting a few seconds to let that thought sink in, the voice continued, less firm and more sympathetic. The world is as you make of it. If you continue to stay, you choose to continue living a life of pain and servitude until they have what they wish and discard of you. With my master's aid, yes, you may become hunted, but at least you may be able to reach out for the life that was stolen from you...and he would be more than willing to fight for you, if needed.

He is marked like you are, but I have managed to suppress its initial glow from your captors to allow him the freedom he and all others deserve.

The little boy on the bed looked up from the book he was coloring in, a smile on his face. "Yay, spaghetti," the orange-haired child cheerfully chirped before pushing the crayons and book to the side. As Aladjijnn put the plate in front of him, the kid grabbed a literal handful of the noodles and ate it before remembering a couple of seconds later that such was not the way to eat pasta. Licking the sauce and noodles off his hand, he grabbed the fork with the other hand before beginning to eat.

However, he didn't finish all of it. There was still a decent portion of the noodles left as well as a couple of meatballs still on the plate. "Can I give the rest to one of the others? They look really hungry..."

Eizar was still running, hoping to intercede upon the dueling before Hanae or Blues got injured. Making his way down the labyrinthine hallway, he began thinking back on the tone that Nero character was speaking with before he escaped with Tycho. 'He almost sounded overly-confident that he could've beaten us in a 3 versus 1,' he pondered as he took another turn.

'Honestly he could have in our current state, given that none of us aside from Tycho have unleashed a blank card,' another voice concluded, causing the boy to stop and look around for a second.

'There's that voice again,' he started before his thoughts were interrupted by a small quake. "I can't worry about that right now. Whatever that quake was, I couldn't have been good." Eizar stated before continuing on his way. He was almost at the area where he extracted Tycho from before a bright light began emanating from the entryway. He turned into room, shielding his eyes until he saw a monster, despite sporting some unfamiliar markings, was all too well known by Academy students to be mistaken for anyone else. It was a sight that drew only one word from the boy's mouth: "Raviel."

  • 1 month later...

"It started when I was just watching old grand tournament duels. I don't know why we had them, but my dad seemed to be fond of them and we'd just sit around watching it. I remember that there wasn't really anything I didn't find fun to watch but, there was one in particular that I watched. The current king of the time. Every time I saw him duel I would just get this big surge of adrenaline and excitement." She smiled a bit as she said, "I know I rewatched those duels over and over again and it never got old. I think I knew there was a lot of sad stuff in the world. And so the young me then figured that if I became a duelist like the king, then I would be able to share the same feeling of excitement and thrill with everyone in the world. No matter where they were. From there, I suppose becoming the Duel King was just a goal that I've always strived for."

Kyouji nodded as he listened to her. "That's a good goal, to be honest," He said. "Wanting to bring people happiness is a noble cause indeed,"

"The world could always use some more egao," Yugo added. They then turned their attention to Aika, who began to answer the question.

"I jus' wanted to be a pro duelist," Aika answered. "Find some way to suppress psychic powers, too. Weaker psychics got it easy, but for me this gets old fast." Yugo rubbed his chin as he listened to her.

"Well, I'm no Psychic," Yugo said. "But Grandma mentioned when she got control of her emotions, she was able to control her powers better," His face then wrinkled as he thought harder. "But she also apparently lost those powers in a crash... so yeah. that may not be helpful,"

"Yeah, that kid, Jet," Kyouji stated. "He's going against Akaryuu next, right? I hope he'll be alright," Kyouji stood up and walked to the window, looking like he was looking for something. "Blues is up next... so where is he?"

"Ah ha ha!" Nero called out. "When you Normal or Special Summon, I can Special Summon a Token!" A ghostly figure resembling the original Raviel came to being, folding its arm in a defensive position. "Now, come at me!" Blues looked at his hand. Now was the time to end this.

"I activate the Field Spell Geartown!" Blues called out. Large buildings made of gears rose from the ground, surrounding the four duelists. "Now I can tribute summon Ancient Gear monsters for one less Tribute! I tribute Ancient Gear Howitzer to summon Ancient Gear Golem!" The geared cannon was soon replaced by a familiar mechanical giant, one that stared down at Shin Raviel with no fear.

"And now, I activate the Spell Card Ancient Gear Fusion!" Blues called out. "When this card is activated, I can fuse together monsters on the field and in my hand to make a fusion monster! However, if I use an Ancient Gear Golem I control as Material, I can use monsters from my deck! Using the Golem on the field and the two in my field, I Fusion Summon!" Blues raised his hand into the air as he began to chant.

"Prototype of the Ultimate Golem, rise and smite my foes with your fist of metal! Fusion Summon! Level 9! Megaton Ancient Gear Golem!" A monstrous four legged metal monster rose, its six arms flexing menacingly.

"Because you summoned twice, I get two more tokens, taking me up to three!" Nero called out.

"That doesn't matter, because for every Ancient Gear Golem I use as Material, Megaton gains an extra attack! So it can attack 3 times!" Blues explained. "So it's going to take out every token of yours! Go, Megaton Melee!" Blues head out his hand as the monster smashed the three tokens with its six fists. "I set a card and end my turn!"

Nero grinned as he looked over his cards. "Alright then, it looks like it's my turn. I'll attack your Megaton Ancient Gear Golem! Shin Raviel, go! Celestial Splitting Fist!" The Sacred Beast roared as it charged at Megaton, rearing back its fist as it punched through the monster's chest, destroying it.

Blues: 7300

"And with that, I end my turn!"

"I didn't take you for being a Christian," Miero faintly joked.

"Only sometimes," Wade muttered.

"Daddy??" Daichi asked.

"Yeah, I did the thing that makes babies with a tribe of Amazons. I'm legally married to two of them," Wade commented. "That's right, I'm legally married to Duel Monster cards. Some weeb out there is weeping," A loud gurgling noise shook Wade to the core. "Oh sheet,"

The human and Amazonesses were suddenly scooped up by a massive reptilian beast, it hugging them closely while making some sort of noises.

"Big bro!" The Amazoness Trainee called out to the Alien Shocktrooper as she hugged its neck.

"And... I'm the father of a good portion of the Alien race. They're cool... it's just... the moms are clingy. Both races...," Wade commented. He looked over to Miero. "Help me... losing air...,"

Gandora sighed as he laid down by Helena. "Looks like the citadel is going to become crowded. Want to go outside with me? I can introduce you to some of the other dragons. I'm sure some of them would love you," He waited expectantly, like he wanted her to climb onto his back.

Helena blinked curiously at the new arrivals that came off the train, members of the Amazoness archetype had come to join the fight against the wicked gods. Though what really made her give a curious look was the fact that a few of the Amazonesses swarmed around Wade, calling him 'daddy'. Then an Alien by the looks of things scooped them all up into a hug, the Amazoness Trainee called it 'Big bro', now that confused Helena.

"Yeah, I did the thing that makes babies with a tribe of Amazons. I'm legally married to two of them," Wade commented. "That's right, I'm legally married to Duel Monster cards. Some weeb out there is weeping, And... I'm the father of a good portion of the Alien race. They're cool... it's just... the moms are clingy. Both races...,"

Helena couldn't believe what she was hearing, how did you... How can you... These are the questions she wanted to ask but knew she shouldn't even ask.

"Looks like the citadel is going to become crowded. Want to go outside with me? I can introduce you to some of the other dragons. I'm sure some of them would love you," she turned to look at Gandora who had spoken to her and seemed a little hesitant at first.

"A-alright..." she climbed up onto Gandora's back carefully, Shiren noticed and waved a goodbye for now to the others as she followed after Helena.

Daichi just stood there in almost disbelief for a bit. This Duelist said he was quote unquote, married a Duel Monster...a few of them apparently, and helped make the babies of said deck archetypes...

"What the f-" Daichi was about to say, but was stopped suddenly when he felt a hand on his shoulder. Upon further inspection when he turned around, he saw that the hand belonged to Haruto. "Haruto! Jeez...scared me there. Where've you been?"

"Around. Dai, if your not busy, I need you to come with me." Haruto said, using his thumb to point behind him towards a hallway.

Staring down at the hallway and then back at Haruto. It was obvious that it was something important, given the look the Gagaga Magician was giving him. Glancing back over at the others, seeing Helena leaving with Gandora and Miero and the others, seeing them all busy as well. "Well, seems like mostly everyone else is doing their own thing right now. I don't think they'll miss me for a bit." Daichi smiled, giving Haruto a thumbs up. "Lead the way, Haruto!"

Without a second to waste, Haruto nodded and lead Daichi towards the hallway. It was time...

Jet heard the voice of Ancient Pixie go from a scolding tone to one that was less firm and sympathetic as she spoke to him. These things he had always thought of, even though he never really had them brought to light. They were always "ifs" in his mind...

Though the thing that got him was the last part she said: Kuria was marked just like he was. Marked...like me...? he thought, prepared to ask more questions at the dragon's voice...but could feel that he was starting to slip. It felt like he was waking up.

All he heard now was silence and then, for a brief moment...his eyes opened and he found himself in a medical room...of course, run by Turbo City KC. Jet began to stir a bit and saw that doctor Akihiro was standing beside his bedside.

"Quite the scare you gave, Hoshimi."

"S-Sorry...sir..." Jet felt like he was going to get scolded, but he merely saw Akihiro hold up a hand.

"On the contrary" he began, lowering his hand. "Your little episode there gave me with some new information and data. Unfortunately we know not of the cause that gave you said episode...but it shall be revealed in time, as with all things."

Jet nodded, though his mind was still swimming in everything Ancient Pixie said...especially the final part. He wanted to ask Akihiro what that was about, but he preferred to keep it a secret for the moment. Thankfully Akihiro left the room, giving him the time to relax and try and get back on his feet.

Furiko listened as everyone else had given their reasoning for why they were here, feeling a tad silly for going a bit too much about herself. All the same, she listened in on what the others had to say, only to then nod at the end of Kyouji's statement about Blues being up next. As she thought on it, though, she said, "well, we last saw him back at the meeting room right?" She looked towards both Yugo and Aika for confirmation. Being more pensive about it she said, "but other than that I haven't seen him since."

oR7NKgI.png?1

"How annoying." Hanae seemed to be a bit disgruntled at the sight of the tokens being summoned one after another to the field of Nero. The girl merely looked onward, getting all the more antsy as each turn passed. She looked a bit impressed as Blues managed to summon a monster to take down every token at once, but all the same taken down the tokens was all it had done. As Shin Raviel destroyed it, though, things seemed to go over back to her turn. Saying, "my turn. Draw!" the girl drew her card ready to see what she would be able to do against this beast. A wide smile grew across her face as she looked towards Raviel. "Yeah, this'll do. Listen Nero, your big scary demon is certainly impressive. But when it comes to monsters," her glare became more serious and intense as she said, "nothing is stronger than a dragon. First! I active the spell card Magic Planter! When this card is played, I can get rid of one continuous trap card I control, and draw 2 cards from it, and so, I tribute Predator Planet." As the effect went off and the girl drew her two cards, she didn't even bother looking at them before continuing her play.

"Next, when Predator Planet is in the graveyard, I can banish it to fusion summon a monster using monster from my hand or that I control. And so, I'll fuse Predator Plant Saracceniant and Predator Plant Chimera Rafflessia!" As the two plants turned into a dark purple light, they began to swirl around and merge. "Unending colony of ruin and ravenous hunter to all, merge to create the dragon of violet poison. Fusion Summon! Rise forth, level 8, Starve Venom Fusion Dragon!" With the fusion having completed, the familiar dragon appeared behind her, letting loose a roar from its mouth and the various fly trap mouths across its body. "Now, when Starve Venom Fusion Dragon is summoned it can gain attack equal to one special summoned monster on my opponent's field. And since this effect doesn't target, Mound of the Bound Creator has no effect on this. So, Shin Raviel, if you'd be so kind?" Each of the mouths across Starve Venom's body seemed to open, breathing in a stream of violet poison coming from Raviel's body.

Starve Venom ATK: 2800 ---> 6800

"Next, when Predator Plant Saracceniant is sent to the graveyard, I can add one Predator card from my deck to my hand. And so I add Predator Graft to my hand. And now I use it to bring back my Chimera Rafflessia to the field." The large carnivorous plant was summoned back to the field aside her dragon. As it did, however, two more tokens appeared to guard Raviel. While Nero seemed confident in his defense, Hanae's look only turned into a confident grin as she said, "you'll need a lot more than that to stop me. First Chimera Rafflessia's effect allows me to banish one monster of level 7 or lower on the field. And since your tokens are only level 4, one of them is already banished. Now, Chimera Rafflessia, attack the other token!" Stretching out the two maw arms attached to the main body, Chimera Rafflessia gripped onto the two tokens, crushing them in its mouth and leaving nothing else on the field to protect the big monster. "It's over. Starve Venom Fusion Dragon! Attack Shin Raviel, Emperor of Phantasms!" A cloud of dark purple poison left the dragon's mouth, before it inhaled deeply, to then let loose a large stream of the same poison towards Raviel. Were the attack a success, Raviel's body would slowly turn purple as the breath continued to strike it, until the poison started burst through different cracks in its body, until finally the fiend was destroyed.

Nero LP: 7000 ----> 4200

Setting one card face down the girl said, "my turn is over."

~Kuria's POV~

Kuria stood up on mention of Blues, eager to do a little more moving than he has already since his crash on the track. "I could possibly go looking for him, since I'm knocked out of the tournament," he volunteered, stretching his arms up above his head, though only one felt the muscle-loosening effects of the stretch.

"After that spill on the tracks, I do need to keep mobile...and I don't want to feel like dead weight in the sheet my friend got himself roped into."

If Kyouji gave him the greenlight, Kuria was gonna walk out of the room on the hunt for Blues. If not, he was gonna sit back down in his chair, slightly dejected on feeling somewhat useless in this scenario.

~Miero's POV~

At this point, Miero just stopped being phased by Wade's antics, seeing as Wade and the little Amazonesses were scooped up by a larger creature, a member of the Alien archetype. Even the White Lady next to him managed a sweatdrop before deciding to fade from view.

At hearing Wade's faint cry for help, Miero sighed before adopting an authoritative tone with his voice, though he did not raise the sharpness or volume of his voice to avoid sounding like he was scolding. "Children, let him go or you risk angering your mothers by suffocating him."

Tycho peered at Kagami with narrowed eyes. She seemed a touch too confident.

"You don't seem to bothered that I've found the hole in your strategy," he mused aloud, moving his hand to his deck. "Just so you know, I intend to do far more than just find a crack in your wall, Kagami; I intend to break it completely. Draw!"

"I'll summon the Aberconway that Heraldic Beast Leo added to my hand last turn," he began, a white-armored draconic creature appearing on his field as a violet crest appeared on the ground beside it, Tycho already moving to play his next card. "Then I activate Heraldry Reborn, allowing me to reclaim a Heraldic Beast from my graveyard. Heraldic Beast Nebula Phoenix, be reborn!"

In a flurry of green and violet flames, the phoenix rose from Tycho's graveyard, crying out loudly as it alighted on the battlefield, it and Aberconway dissolving into twin darts of mottled green light. "Using my two Level 4 monsters, I construct an Overlay Network! Fire with fire, deceit with deceit. Stand tall above the wicked, and take their power as your own! Xyz Summon! Heraldic King, Genom-Heritage!"

With a strange, warped, warbling cry, Tycho's ace monster stood tall, striking a battle stance as the long waves of golden hair it bore probed at the air aroun it, its violet gaze fixed on Kaede.

The crowd grew restless now, muttering to each other excitedly, some cheering. This was a monster they recognized from Tycho's qualifier, when it had defeated his previous opponent in a single shot. Tycho threw a hand out, his monster responding by lashing out with its tails of golden hair towards Kaede's Volcasaurus. "Genom-Heritage can absorb the effects and attack points of any Xyz Monster, and reduces the attack power of that monster to zero."

Volcasaurus bellowed as it was shackled within the King's grip, power visibly sloughing off and along the hair towards Tycho's beast as it grew into a masked copy, siphoning of power as Kaede's monster lost all of its strength.

"I can activate the effect of Volcasaurus now to destroy the original... And you take damage equal to its attack power!" He grimly smiled as flames coursed through the air, enveloping Volcasaurus. "I can't attack directly per Volcasaurus' effect... But 2500 damage is a good start."

With that Kaede's monster exploded, violently blasting apart and enveloping the girl in a cloud of flame and ash.

Kaede: 8000 > 5500

"I place a card face-down... And end my turn." Already Tycho was unfocused once again, losing interest on the field to once again look behind him at the swirling clouds. They didn't appear to be getting any clearer. If anything they were worse. He gritted his teeth at the sight. If a Wicked God was truly being played here... He had yet to see the power of one himself, and he wasn't keen on experiencing it.

He heard a whooshing sound behind him, and he whipped around to see two of Kaede's cards inexplicably shattering into pieces, before quickly reforming into two strange monsters, a large glowing shield and something that resembled a bow.

Artifact Aegis

1200/2500

Artifact Faulnaught

2000/1600

"What have you done here?" he asked, cautious.

As the flames had washed over the girl, her unwavering smile stayed present on her face. However, once it had finished the girl had merely gone on with her play as Tycho ended his turn. However, as it turned out, he hadn't been paying attention to what she did and as such she said, "oh, well. Apologies, I shall tell you once more. You see, with the end of your turn I activated Twin Twister, discarding a singular card from my hand and in turn I can destroy two spell and trap cards on the field. Including my own." Gesturing over to the artifacts on the field, she continued. "Because your end phase is still your turn, and because they were destroyed during your turn, I was able to summon my Artifact Aegis and Artifact Failnaught. And now to finish your turn," she gestured to the ethereal green spirit wielding the bow.

Firing an arrow into the sky, a gray light fell in response, striking the field and coalescing into a set card. "When Artifact Failnaught is summoned, I am able to set one Artifact monster in my graveyard in my spell and trap zone. Now then, my turn. Draw." Without missing a beat the girl looked towards her card, and then back to Tycho. "I must apologize once again, for not knowing much about my opponent. Yet, from the crowd's reaction I can tell this is likely your ace monster. And I am impressed by such a radiant beast and what you have done with it." She gave a small, strangely genuine, round of applause to him. "Yet all the same, I am not sure it is a star bright enough to contend with all the others here. After all, you claim to wish to break me completely and yet," she gestured to the field, "we're back where we started. So allow me to reset the field to what it was prior. With my level 5 Artifact Failnaught and level 5 Artifact Aegis, I construct an overlay network." As the two weapons turned into orbs of golden light, a swirling vortex opened causing them to enter it.

"Blazing blade, slayer of dragons, let songs of your legends be heard once more. Xyz Summon! Strike, Rank 5, Artifact Durendal!" A large greatsword with red and blue energy coursing through it formed, wielded by a purple figure made of energy, two orbs orbiting around it. "You are mostly certainly a match for someone as trivial as me Mr. Tycho, yet, if your ace is all your deck has, then I am afraid you might not be a match for all those others here." A friendly smile crossed her face as she said, "so please, prove me wrong. I set 1 card face down. It is your go now."

Cyber Dragon Infinity: Rank 6 | LIGHT | Machine/Xyz/Effect | 2300/1600

Cyber Dragon Core: Level 2 | LIGHT | Machine/Effect | 400/1500

Nero was wide open. All Ayame had to do was not funk this up. Me? Misplay? Now tell me the one about the neutron and the barkeep.

Best to go straight for the throat. Ayame had the resources to do precisely that. "Thanks for clearing up that field, Hanae. Now, it's my turn! Draw!" Ayame didn't even look at what the card she drew was. It wasn't relevant to her winning move, so who needed it anyway? Not her. "I activate the Cyber Repair Plant I added to my hand last turn, and use it to add Cyber Dragon from my deck to my hand! Next - and I can't believe I'm actually doing this - I tribute Cyber Dragon Core, and use it to Tribute Summon my Cyber Dragon!" The image of her smaller monster was soon replaced by the considerably larger, far more familiar image of Cyber Dragon.

Cyber Dragon: Level 5 | LIGHT | Machine/Effect | 2100/1600

"No point prettying up this play. Let's move straight to the Battle Phase! I attack directly with both Cyber Dragon and Cyber Dragon Infinity!" As Ayame's two monsters opened their mechanical jaws to fire off the finishing attacks in this duel, Ayame nodded contently to herself. Then stopped for a bit. Did I even do that much? ...let's maybe not share that thought with Hanae. She's the last person I need to look bad in front of. Ayame shook the thought from her head as her attacks hit their mark. This duel was over.

Nero: 4200 --> 0

"Maybe do some research next time you try to pick a duel," Ayame scoffed, starting firmly in Nero's direction. Sounding none too pleased with the whole ordeal of the duel, Ayame continued "Now, you're going to tell us everything we want to know. Are you really Nero? Why aren't you dead? What's that Shin Raviel all about? I want answers, and can get awfully... 'inventive'... if I have to in order to get them."

"Well, I'm no Psychic. But Grandma mentioned when she got control of her emotions, she was able to control her powers better. But she also apparently lost those powers in a crash... so yeah. that may not be helpful."

"I feel like the odd one here with the dueling scene. I think I'm the only one without aspirations to become the Duel King or similar. I just play because I like the game. Hell, I only joined this competition in hopes of getting to duel that kid again and try to get through his thick skull that he needed to get out of his situation."

"Yeah, that kid, Jet. He's going against Akaryuu next, right? I hope he'll be alright. Blues is up next... so where is he?"

"Well, we last saw him back at the meeting room right?" Aika nodded, to confirm what Furiko had said. "But other than that I haven't seen him since."

"Reckon we should go lookin' an' try findin' him? Much as I'd love t'get chummy with the Duel King himself, we could be a lil' stuck if our boss up'n'vanishes on us."

Eizar looked on as the corrupted Sacred Beast fell, despite it's newfound ability. Blues and Hanae seemed to have had such easy ways to bypass Raviel's ability that it almost made the boy feel bad that a Sacred Beast was so easily defeated. That being said, who was the girl that dealt the final blow, a friend of Blues? He didn't recall anyone else being here when he does with Tycho. He watched on as the unknown proceeded to interrogate their enemy, even going so far as to threaten coercion. "How could one even be able to convince somebody who serves some of the most dangerous beings in existence too betray their masters, even with force," he mumbled before moving to join them.

Nero let out a giant roar of anguish as Ayame's attacks connected to his body. The roar however, didn't sound human, no, it sounded like something that crawled out from the pits of hell itself. He reared his head heavenwards as beams of light escaped from his eyes and mouth, before falling onto his knees. It seemed the conversation Ayame and Eizar wasn't heard, not to the man.

"I... don't have time," he muttered. "A-ask anything... before he returns... I-I'll tell anything... anything to end this...," Nero said. Now might be a good time to get some info.

"Well, we last saw him back at the meeting room right?" She looked towards both Yugo and Aika for confirmation, to which Yugo nodded. "but other than that I haven't seen him since."

"Reckon we should go lookin' an' try findin' him? Much as I'd love t'get chummy with the Duel King himself, we could be a lil' stuck if our boss up'n'vanishes on us."

"Yeah, I think they have the right idea...," Yugo said, but paused as he heard banging coming from the elevator. "Um... did you guys---,"

"No, I hear it to...," Kyouji said as he turned to the elevator. The banging got louder, as dents began to form on the door. "Get down!" Kyouji called out as he dived to the ground, tackling the group to the floor. The elevator doors flew over their heads, crashing into the windows behind them, which amazingly, didn't break, but it did indeed crack.

Crawling its way out of the passage was a giant monster covered in eyes, all focused on the group. It had to hunch over to even fit into the room, and it let out a massive roar that shook the room.

"Are you kiddin' me?" Kyouji muttered. "Someone doesn't want us to find Blues...," He rolled his shoulder as he stood up. "Looks like we need a way to beat the crap of this monster. Any one have any ideas?" He asked, looking at Aika specifically.

oXNSzB8.png

Gandora waited for Shiren to climb on his back before he went outside, slowly lumbering through the doors. As soon as he made it through the doors, he let his massive wings spread wide before he shot up into the air, flying up into the sky, high above the city itself. The ascent up was extremely fast, but as soon as he was above the clouds, he let his speed slow down, the monster gliding lazily towards some mountains to the north.

"So, you aren't afraid of heights, are you?" Gandora asked as he looked over his shoulder. After waiting for her answer, he turned his head to look at the mountains. "So... what's the human world like?"

"Children, let him go or you risk angering your mothers by suffocating him." Miero said, causing the children to look up at him before they looked back at Wade. Reluctantly, they released him, letting Wade finally breathe.

"You're pretty good with kids there, Doc," Wade said as he stood up and rolled his shoulder. "I'm pretty bad with kids... not my own," He started to roll his neck. "What's your secret?"

"Probably the fact he's not an jabroni," Dread Knight commented, only to be kicked in the shin by the Amazoness Trainee.

"Ha, ha, that's my girl," Wade said, fist bumping his daughter.

"I swear this place gives me a headache now," Henry muttered.

Hanae clenched her hand into a fist as the final blow hit the man, letting out a triumphant, "hell yeah." However prideful she was that she had just managed to defeat some kind of pseudo god, the girl felt an instant pang of irritation. Her eyes darting over to her senior, feeling slightly annoyed that she had been the one to take the final blow. All the same, she wasn't able to voice this frustration, as their opponent started to explode into light. "The fu-" The girl cut herself off as the man started to seem more in pain, and resigned to his fate than anything else. The girl was all the same confused at this, but said, "uh, alright." Getting a more serious expression across her face she said, "who the hell has the wicked gods? And where are the other beasts, for that matter."

7e8xcYT.png

 As the group was getting ready to leave to search for Blues, a strange rumbling could be heard. Barely any time passed at all, as the noises started to grow in volume only for Kyouji to warn everyone. Being tackled to the ground, the girl suddenly heard a loud bang, followed by a crash, looking over to see the elevator door has cracked the window. Turning over to face the elevator itself, the girl let out a small yelp of surprise, shock and fear, backing away from myriad eyed monster. It came without saying that Furiko had zero experience in actually fighting monsters outside of a game, and so she lightly joked, "you don't think he'd want to duel do you?"

"I... don't have time. A-ask anything... before he returns... I-I'll tell anything... anything to end this..."

"Uh, alright. Who the hell has the wicked gods? And where are the other beasts, for that matter."

The what now? Wicked Gods... try as she might, that wasn't a term that rang any bells in Ayame's head. It seemed she'd have some questions for Hanae as well once this was over. For now, she had to keep her focus on getting information out of Nero. It sounded like he wouldn't have much time to give out answers, so Ayame wanted the important ones as quickly as possible.

"I'm more concerned with if you're even really Nero. You died last month, so what exactly are you doing here?"

3CRqVF7.png

"Yeah, I think they have the right idea..."

After Yugo's response, however, a banging sound came from the elevator.

"Um... did you guys---"

"No, I hear it too... Get down!" And then, through the door, came a big ugly monster, with tons of big ugly eyes. That thing was definitely intimidating. And it was definitely something a psychic had made. Aika could tell, if only by a gut feeling. "Looks like we need a way to beat the crap of this monster. Any one have any ideas?"

"You don't think he'd want to duel do you?"

Yugo ain't a psychic. Furiko ain't a psychic. Kyouji ain't a psychic. An' he's lookin' at me. "Fine," Aika groaned, starting up her Duel Disk and digging through her deck for the right combination of cards. "I'll kill the freaky-eyed thing. Y'all just don't make me pay for any property damage, okay? An' maybe get under somethin' 'fore I tear the roof off." Aika grabbed a whopping total of five cards from her deck, as well as a synchro from her extra deck, and began announcing her cards as she laid them down. As she started, a formation of dark clouds came together above the stadium, a light rumbling of thunder resonating from within. Despite the thunder, however, it hadn't started raining just yet.

"I activate Stormlet Supercell Zone. Seeing as this ain't a proper duel, I'm basically allowed to do whatever I want, so now I'll activate three copies of Stormlet Gust!" As Aika laid down the three cards, she turned her head toward Kyoji, and commented "Sorry 'gain 'bout yer roof. An' everythin' really." Outside, meanwhile, it was getting windy. Really windy. Perhaps too windy. Anything and anyone within the stadium's walls would be fine, given their sturdy structure and ability to take the brunt of Aika's power, but any lesser building, tree, vehicle, and person unlucky enough to be caught outside the stadium's safety at the time would definitely be having a bad day as everything outside got blown apart and/or away. Even the stadium's entrance doors found themselves blown in before long, with the roof above Aika herself following before long. Once the roof was gone, Aika took that as her cue, promptly pulling her copies of Stormlet Gust off her Duel Disk before she did even more damage.

"Next, I summon the Synchro Monster, Stormlet Volthail, and activate the card Stormlet Bolt! Y'all may wanna cover yer ears!" Once Aika put down her remaining cards, she wasted no time scurrying behind the nearest sufficiently large object. Not long after, a massive bolt of lightning struck down from the clouds above, aimed directly at the eyeball monstrosity Aika had been tasked with killing. The area around it was almost definitely going to be charred. Volthail was mostly just a safety measure, in case it didn't kill the thing. "Come get me!" Aika taunted to the monster, if it was even still there. "I got a whole mess'a lightnin' bolts with yer name on 'em, Googly-Eyes!"

Tycho drew a card from his deck, looking at the scant few options he had, taking in the hovering sword that was before him.

It has the same attack points as Genom-Heritage... he thought. But surely she knows I can absorb it? What's she planning...?

He looked behind the sword, at the card Kagami had reclaimed last turn. Artifact Scythe... he thought, reaching for his Duel Disk and pulling up an image of the card. She can use this to shut off my Special Summons for one turn... Is that her plan?

Her monster must have the ability to destroy her other Artifacts and trigger their effects, he thought, reaching a finger out to Durendal. I have to destroy it!

"My ace monster is all I need as long as you keep placing Xyz Monsters in its path! Genom-Heritage's effect! I absorb your Durendal!"

Kagami allowed herself a small smile of satisfaction as the strands of golden hair whipped through the air. "I think not. Your Heraldic King won't be absorbing anything. Durendal's effect activates! Genom-Heritage now instead has the effect to destroy a Magic or Trap card!"

"You changed the effect of my Heraldic King?" Tycho asked in disbelief. Durendal absorbed an overlay Unit, then flipped in midair, the sword blade parrying the strands of hair and sending them out wide. They flew about, before falling towards Kagami's two set cards, spiraling to pierce them.

If I destroy her Scythe, I can't Special Summon any monsters! he thought. he thrust out a hand. "I destroy your left-most card!" The hair changed direction mid-flight, spearing down into the card and shattering it into pieces. Pieces that quickly began to reform.

"I'm glad you've given me the opportunity to deprive you of your all-important ace monster," Kagami called to Tycho. "Artifact Moralltach is one of the most powerful Artifact Monsters in my deck, because it destroys one of your own cards!"

Artifact Moralltach

2100/1400

"What?!" Tycho barked, seeing the giant blue sword cleave through his monster's neck. he threw up an arm to shield himself from the blast, gritting his teeth as his monster was vaporized. "But you haven't shut off my Special Summoning with your Scythe! I use Heraldic Beast Unicorn from my Graveyard to revive a Psychic-Type Xyz Monster with its effects negated! Rise, Heraldry Patriarch!"

"Effects negated?" asked Kagami, still looking rather pleased with herself as Tycho's Patriarch rose back into the field. "Is THAT why you didn't resurrect your ace monster instead?"

"BATTLE!" Tycho yelled, frustration finally upon him. "Heraldry Patriarch attacks Moralltach!" The red orb in the beast's center glowed brightly, before erupting in a laser that lanced through Kagami's monster like butter, shattering it once again.

Kagami- 5500 > 5400

"My turn is over," Tycho snarled, his eyes drawn to Durendal. She can do that to all my monsters... This isn't good. My Heraldic King is powerless against it AND it's stuck in the graveyard!

After Shiren made herself comfortable on Gandora's back, it was time to go. Gandora made his way outside and quickly took to the skies. Shiren was quietly watching the scenery pass by while Helena held on tightly to Gandora's back. "So, you aren't afraid of heights, are you?" the big dragon asked looking back at the two.

"N-no... Of course not..." Helena said looking up for a moment before quickly going back to holding on. Shiren couldn't help but chuckle at her duelist's silly fear.

Looking back towards some mountains, Gandora continued to fly. "So... what's the human world like?" he asked curiously.

Helena thought for moment on how she could describe her world. "Well... There's beautiful scenery much like this... Large cities... In some ways it's the same as the Spirit World... Well... Without any powerful duel spirits wandering around..." she explained.

The girl didn't seem at all phased by the destruction of her monster, instead keeping the same neutral expression as always as she said, "my turn. Draw." As she drew her card, the girl looked a bit curious. There was something different, something had changed. As she blinked a few times, she realized that it had suddenly gotten a lot darker around them. As she came to this realization, she suddenly noticed that the light breeze that had been around the area was starting to pick up. While at first it didn't seem to be any bit problematic, the girl suddenly felt it a struggle to keep herself in place as the winds became nearly galeforce, blowing around the entirety of the stadium. As a lightning bolt struck part of the stadium, Kagami, squinting from the force of the wind, merely looked at it. "My, this is certainly different." Turning back to her opponent she still kept a calm smile on her face, shouting over the winds, saying, "I've never dueled in a condition like this. It's quite exciting! So, shall we continue despite it?" Pointing at Tycho's monster she said, "now, Artifact Durendal, attack his Plain-Coat." As the sword was brought down on the floating crystal, destroying it in a single slash. "Apologies that there isn't more to this turn, but that is where it shall end."

~Kuria's POV~

"Um... did you guys---"

"No, I hear it, too..." A banging sound began to increase in volume, increasing and approaching rapidly towards their direction. Kuria glanced back towards Kyouji, who turned to the elevator as the banging got louder, as dents began to form on the door. "Get down!"

Kuria had already moved a leg back in case he needed to do just that, and so was already on his way to the floor on the command. He dared to look up upon hearing one final bang, seeing a golden monster with way too many eyes looking into the room, bent over a bit as it roared and almost deafened the cyborg.

"Someone doesn't want us to find Blues..."

"Like that's stopping me," Kuria growled under his breath as he pushed himself up similar to doing a push-up, before kicking his legs in underneath him, ready to stand and run in a moment's notice.

"Next, I summon the Synchro Monster, Stormlet Volthail, and activate the card Stormlet Bolt! Y'all may wanna cover yer ears!" Suddenly glad he did that, he rose his hands to cover his ears as an echoing, deafening sound rang out from in front of him towards the strange monster. "I got a whole mess'a lightnin' bolts with yer name on 'em, Googly-Eyes!"

"I can see---WOAH!" Kuria fell backwards as a stray lightning bolt split from the one hitting the strange monster flew back towards him, specifically towards his cybernetic arm. "sheet, I gotta get out of here!"

With that, Kuria got up onto his feet and tried to look out for an exit available...but unfortunately for him, the only 'available' exit seems to be the windows...so, his only option was to duck and roll underneath the huge table in the room.

~Miero's POV~

"You're pretty good with kids there, Doc," Wade said as Miero watched him stand up and rolled one of his shoulders. "I'm pretty bad with kids... not my own...what's your secret?"

"Probably the fact he's not an jabroni," Dread Knight commented, only to be kicked in the shin by the Amazoness Trainee.

While Miero didn't like the fact that the Knight got kicked for that, he couldn't help but give a slight grin at the remark fired at Wade.

"It helps to be firm, calm and respectful. However, I merely observe and act accordingly, for there are cases when respect takes a very-different form than the normal." Tapping the bottom of his staff against the ground, Miero brought a hand to his chin and realized one thing.

In the madness of all that happened and the discovery of whom exactly took his son, he had otherwise forgotten the reason they were there. Giving a sigh, he leaned over towards Wade and, completely expecting to regret this choice, asked simply, "so...remind me what we're here for again...? Dealing with that...bastard...burnt out my memory of what we were supposed to be doing..."

Eizar watched as Nero, a servant of the Wicked Gods, let off a brilliant light before crumpling onto the floor, seeming worse for wear. The man spoke out with a ragged voice, offering information on his presumably former masters. Hanae went first, asking the important questions of the identity of the Wicked God wielders as well as the Sacred Beasts. The new girl then spoke out about Nero being dead? 'So the Wicked Gods had the ability to desecrate the souls of the dead into doing their bidding.' Now the boy was wondering if there was anything they weren't able to do, since they were probably the ones to upgrade Raviel as well. Then Eizar opened his mouth after the man answered the girls' questions. "Is there anyone else under the control of the Wicked Gods aside from their weilders? Are the Meklords among them?"

A Tragic Tale of Tragedy

"Who the hell has the wicked gods? And where are the other beasts, for that matter." Hanae asked.

"I'm more concerned with if you're even really Nero. You died last month, so what exactly are you doing here?" Ayame added.

"Is there anyone else under the control of the Wicked Gods aside from their wielders? Are the Meklords among them?"
Eizar came in with the final question. Nero nodded before he finally started to answer.

"So far... Two people have the Wicked Gods... a man named Glaeris... who was injured in an assault against the Spirit World... and another... someone in this tournament...," He shook his head. "I wish I could say more, but I don't know exactly who it is...," Looking over to Ayame, he nodded. "A month ago... I was in a car crash... I died that day... but before my spirit could move on, a voice asked me if I wanted to live... of course... I said yes... and became a mere puppet of the Wicked Gods...," he choked back a sob. "If I'd had known... I'd have let myself die that day," Finally, he looked at Eizar, and answered. "As far as I know... the Meklords are not... they do have... the Ruler of Dragons... the keepers of the Spellbooks, and the wearer of the bringer of winter...," he fell silent, prompting Blues to speak.

"So... is there some way we could help or---," Before he could finish his sentience, a horrid roar echoed in the area as the ground split in half, and a giant hand rose from the ground, grabbing Nero and dragging him into the earth, the crack sealing itself behind them. Blues watched in shock as it all happened. He had saw many things before that day, but that... that was new.

A Storm is Brewing

"You don't think he'd want to duel do you?"

"I'll kill the freaky-eyed thing. Y'all just don't make me pay for any property damage, okay? An' maybe get under somethin' 'fore I tear the roof off. I activate Stormlet Supercell Zone. Seeing as this ain't a proper duel, I'm basically allowed to do whatever I want, so now I'll activate three copies of Stormlet Gust!" As Aika laid down the three cards, she turned her head toward Kyoji, and commented "Sorry 'gain 'bout yer roof. An' everythin' really. Next, I summon the Synchro Monster, Stormlet Volthail, and activate the card Stormlet Bolt!

Kyouji sighed as he looked at the storming winds.

"I rather be safe than sorry," he said as he raised his hand to the sky. "Rise, Shining D-Wheel!" he snapped and despite the storm, people could hear an engine revving up, right before his D-Wheel crashed through the wall, smashing into the back of the multieyed monster and driving over it, before drifting in a donut like shape, allowing Kyouji to jump on top on it and hit the gas. The vehicle took off, allowing Kyouji to get close and grab Kuria, placing him behind him. He then drifted around Furiko and grabbed her, placing her on Kuria's lap, before finally, driving straight at the window, grabbing Aika on the way as Yugo jumped on the very back. The wall of glass came closer as a giant bolt of lightning was ready to crash into the Duel Monster threatening their lives.

Epic Action

As the small motorcycle crashed through the window, shattering the glass and leaving the group flying over the stadium, the bolt of lightning made contact, causing an explosion that rocked the area. Yugo hung on for dear life as the group was overcame by gravity, the group falling with style over the current duel before Kyouji expertly landed the D-Wheel on the track surround the duel area, skidding to a halt before hitting the wall dividing the track from the audience.

"Is everyone okay?" He asked the group as he looked over his shoulder.

"No, mom, I don't want pancakes with my eggs...," Yugo muttered as he got off the bike.

Helena thought for moment on how she could describe her world. "Well... There's beautiful scenery much like this... Large cities... In some ways it's the same as the Spirit World... Well... Without any powerful duel spirits wandering around..." she explained. Gandora nodded as he soared over the clouds.

"Sounds a lot like here. It's odd. I expected it to be much different. It was a world where Seto Kaiba lived in, after all," Gandora muttered. There was then a sound... like something approaching them. Gandora looked to his right to see an airship pass them by, headed back to the city. "Huh, was that the Fandra?" the dragon muttered. "Looks like Buster Blader made good on some old favors," He muttered. They soon got to the mountains, Gandora landing in a flat part.

And in front of him was a bunch of dragons. Things ranging from a tiny cute Decoy Dragon, to the majestic Ancient Fairy Dragon, who seemed to be tending to others' wounds. However, one dragon in particular may have caught Shiren's attention.

Black Rose Dragon sat, watching as a guard over the mountains, looking out for aerial assaults.

"It helps to be firm, calm and respectful. However, I merely observe and act accordingly, for there are cases when respect takes a very-different form than the normal. So...remind me what we're here for again...? Dealing with that...bastard...burnt out my memory of what we were supposed to be doing..."

"Well, you see, long ago, this crazy man named Pegasus went to ancient Egypt and decided 'Yo, I'm going to take this old ancient black magic and market it as a kid's game!'," Wade explained.

"In turn, he tried making three monsters into card... the Egyptian Gods. However, he feared their power, and so made the Wicked Gods to counter them," Henry continued. "But then he feared their power, and sealed them away,"

"Yeah, it's a chain of fear," Dread Knight added. "But the Wicked Gods are angry, and have now escaped their prison. They're using blood sacrifices to get stronger, and to come to our world to have their revenge,"

-The Moonlit Magician-

~Citadel of Endymion~

"So where exactly are you taking me, Haruto?" Daichi asked, still following the Gagaga Magician in front of him. It wasn't long, however, that Haruto stopped at a dead end hallway and had a small spell circle open up a new pathway.

"Please enter, Daichi." Haruto said, moving to usher his Duelist inside.

"Alright...if you say so." Daichi nodded, walking through the new open pathway and immediately noticed he wasn't where the Citadel of Endymion was. In fact, he knew this location quite well. After all, he usually played it in his Duels. "The...Secret Sanctuary of the Spellcasters." he muttered, looking around and then seeing Haruto exit from the same place he did and kept moving forward. "Haruto what are we doing here?"

"Daichi..." Haruto said, turning slowly to face his Duelist. "You have the opportunity to meet with the leader of the Gagaga Clan...Gagaga Head, you would know him better as."

"Gagaga Head? What does he want with me?" Daichi asked with a bit of confusion in his voice. When he looked up from where Haruto was, he saw that there was plenty of others here besides the two of them. Gagaga Cowboy and Samurai were there, but so was Child, Caesar, Mancer, Clerk, Gardna...and standing some ways away from them...Gagaga Head.

"So this is the young man that has been spoken of to me." Gagaga Head spoke firmly, one arm resting on his hip. "Step forward Daichi Raimu. I have much to discuss with you...the champion of the Gagaga Clan."

"Champion of what?" Daichi muttered, blinking some as he slowly stepped forward, as the others of the Gagaga Clan sat down, encircling Daichi. Just what did I get myself into?

Jet is currently still trying to relax after all this crap that has happened to him...after all, after having your arm burn with the intensity of a thousand suns and speaking to a person's magical dragon, will make you really exhausted.
