[spoiler=Ebon Sage: Errata]

DARK/Spellcaster-Type Xyz Effect/Rank 9/2800 ATK/3200 DEF

Lore: 2 Level 9 Spellcaster-Type monsters
You can also Xyz Summon this card by using a Level 2 Spellcaster-Type monster and a "Dark Magician" you control as the Xyz Materials. When this card is Xyz Summoned: You can target 1 Normal or Quick-Play Spell Card in your Graveyard; this card's effect becomes that target's effect when that card is activated, then you shuffle that target into the Deck, and if you do, draw 1 card. If a DARK Spellcaster-Type monster(s) you control would be destroyed (by battle or by card effect), you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card instead.

Hard to believe, but I originally did not want this to be a Xyz. But it could not be Normal, and Leafbladie's variant upon this -oh yea, got some of the idea from him yet again, word to him-was a Fusion. Being Xyz gels with the other Ebon Magicians well, and its alternative condition also fits with its (Dark Sage's) previous version's errata. So this emerged.

Also thinking of making a Main Deck Ebon card to continue the Week of Dark Magic. Your take on it? Let me know.

May the reviews and revelry arrive in abundance.

BDS, getting these kids off my lawn signing right the hell off.

Nice stuff, while not as strong of a Spell searcher as the original, it still does wonders for the DM archetype by allowing you to reuse the powerful spells Dark Magician, or eventhings like Raigeki or Dark Magic Attack. I might put an HOPT on this, while probably not as loopable as DMoC was originally, especially since it shuffles the card into the Deck, best to still avoid it. Glad it also recycles the spell, and gives some draw power, another thing DM could use. The protection is wonderful too, helping to save your field from your Eternal Soul when it would nuke the field. It also fits lore wise, as having reached that age, he's probably learned some tricks to evade death when needed, so good stuff. I look forward to your next installment.
