Ivor Inferno Templar (A (Dark) Flare for Disruption)

Yes, I know-looks as much a Warrior as I do a Polynesian, but this is still a counterpart to that old-and-busted beatstick Fusion called Dark Flare Knight (look it up for its relation to the DM line, its a real card) and 1 of the 3 New Synchros that Ivor Fragment can bust out- with help from a Rod it it's Summoned by its own way.

So enjoy it, and may the reviews and revelry arrive in abundance.

[spoiler=Ivor Inferno Templar: Errata]

LIGHT/Warrior-Type Synchro Effect Monster/Level 6/2200 ATK/800 DEF

Lore: "Ivor Fragment Templar" + 1 or more non-Tuner Spellcaster-Type monsters
Must first be Synchro Summoned. Your opponent takes all battle damage you would take from a battle involving a Level 6 or lower monster you control. When this Synchro Summoned card leaves the field by a card effect: You can take 1 Level 8 or lower "Dark Magician" monster or 1 "Mirage Knight" from your Deck, and either add it to the hand or Special Summon it, ignoring its Summoning conditions.

Nice, this definitely is a much nicer retrain of Dark Flare Knight, making its battle damage nullification into the equivalent of your opponent hitting itself if they attack it, if only it was a bit stronger to use against Utopia the Lightning for some fun. I love that it protects your Rod and Robe, and also the Magician Girls. The restriction of the summoning by it only leaving the field by a card effect is a bit disappointing, no attacking into Five God Dragon to get yourself a Mirage Knight, but it's cool that it nets you anything from the main DM lineup, including Dark Magician of Chaos. I think it'd be fair to have it say if it leaves the field, since you include the synchro summon clause on it, so no reviving it from the Graveyard like with Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon (also, you probably don't need that "Must first be Synchro Summoned" clause).

Edit: Also, it wouldn't work with Rod unfortunately like you mentioned, Rod is 3, new monster you made is 6 -> 4 with two Spellcasters, so you could only go into protector.

Thanks, mate. Wanted it to be close enough to the original to be workable. And they all have that restriction-mainly because I've seen LIGHT support go crazy for this.

Also: made a mistake there. I meant to say you could make this with self-summoned Fragment, and the Magician's ROBE. sorry bout that.
