leafbladie Posted September 27, 2016 Report Share Posted September 27, 2016 Thought it might be cool to make a Hand Destruction like card that lets both players discard as much as they want, so your opponent can't chain a hand trap to make their hand size less than 2 to negate it. However, seeing as this card would be relatively powerful, even if it allows your opponent to set up their Graveyard and get new cards, or even discard nothing at all if their hand's already good, I decided to make it a trap. Thus your opponent is getting the immediate advantage, while you have to wait a turn to use the desired effect. So with it being a trap, and taking inspiration from Hand Destruction, I thought what better name than Hand Detonation. I'm actually not sure about the HOPT clause though, so tell me if you think it's necessary or not. Hand DetonationNormal Trap CardEach player discards any number of cards, then draws the same number of cards they discarded. You can only activate 1 “Hand Detonation” per turn.
