There are a few clarifications I need to make. This is on the game YuGiOh MD's and so pendulums are not in the game. It uses the September 2013 banlist.

Here's the link to the banlist of this game (encase you don't know): Link

[spoiler=Strategies 6]

Trident Warrior + Vylon Cube = Ancient Sacred Wyvern + Equip Spell

Summon Trident Warrior to summon Vylon Cube. Then, summon "Ancient Sacred Wyvern" .

Activate Vylon Cube's effect to equip it with "Wicked - Breaking Flamberge - Baou" Fairy Meteor Crush

Vylon Prism + Airknight/Prime = Airknight/Prime + (+1000 ATK)

Vylon Prism is used more for a tribute for "Airknight Parshath" and "Prime Material Dragon."

This is usually done using "Double Summon"

Thunder Sea Horse => 2 Vylon Prisms OR 2 Wattgiraffes

Thunder Sea Horse is a searcher for Prism or Wattgiraffe.

Genex Neutron => Vylon Cube

Used to search Vylon Cube from my deck.

Number 1 Priority = Prime Material Dragon

I try to put Prime Material Dragon on the field before anyone.

With Prime Material Dragon's 1st effect, it ensures my LP are protected

from card effects. It's 2nd effect is protection for my monsters.

Safe Zone = 99.9% protection

If I was to add "Safe Zone" then, as you could imagine, it would be there to

combine with Prime Material Dragon, Airknight Parshath, and Ancient Sacred

Wyverm. If I do have it, I don't use it immediately due to it's last effect.

Gawayn + Alexandrite Dragon = Xyz

6. Noble Knight Gawayn has a good atk stat for a level 4 monster. Otherwise,

it is used for xyz, synchros, etc. This card does work well with Alexandrite

Dragon to summon an Xyz.

Cestus of Dagla + Airknight

Parshath has a piercing ability, so Cestus makes it so I'll heal the damage he deals.

Mist Body + Prime Material

Prime Material has good trap/spell/monster effect protection, so with Mist Body,

that lowers the options of how my opponent can take away my monsters.

Fairy Meteor Crush + Ancient Sacred Wyvern

I noticed the CPU would stall because ASW doesn't have piercing, so I added

this card to the deck.

The ideal order of which they should be summoned

Prime Material => Airknight/Wyvern => Xyz

Overall

Overall, my deck is based around searching things from my deck to get

my biggest monsters out as soon as possible.

[spoiler=Questions]

Should I use Shooting Star Bow - Ceal instead of Fairy Meteor Crush on ASW?

Shooting Star Bow - Ceal

Equip Spell

The equipped monster loses 1000 ATK, but it can attack your opponent

directly.

What do you think?

Note: I am NOT interested in Archetypes.

Have you considered Michael, the Arch-Lightsworn? Sure, it's part of the "Lightsworn" archetype, but you don't have to use the effect which supports "Lightsworn" monsters. It's really easy to summon in this deck and you probably don't mind paying 1000 LP considering you can gain so much with Prime Material Dragon. I highly doubt that you get through all three copies of both Ancient Sacred Wyvern and Ancient Fairy Dragon, and some different options might make your deck more versatile (so as to cope with a wider variety of situations).

Just wrote all that and then realised that the card was made in 2014.

I'd put in the 1 Honest that you're allowed, since you may as well, right? Here's what it does:

Honest

Level 4 | LIGHT | Fairy-Type

During your Main Phase: You can return this face-up card from the field to the hand. During either player's Damage Step, when a LIGHT monster you control battles: You can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard; that monster gains ATK equal to the ATK of the opponent's monster it is battling, until the end of this turn.

1100 ATK 1900 DEF

Basically, it allows you to win any battle once. It can also allow you to do more damage with a high ATK Ancient Sacred Wyvern, which could be game ending.

If I think of more ideas, I'll try to help, but I wasn't playing Yugioh during 2013, and I must say that the no-Archetypes restriction is kinda fun really.

Lightsworns are in the game.

and I forgot all about Honest O_O

I'll be sure to add him. I can't believe I forgot all about him. Who should I replace him with? Maybe I should replace him with a Lumenize? I might take off one pot of duality instead.

Thanks for bringing him to my attention. Forgot all about the guy.

And I'm not interested in bring out Ancient Fairy Dragon and such. They are just for insurance in case summon Ancient Sacred Wyvern would've been a bad idea. For example, when fighting against decks with field spells, I would use Fairy Dragon even tho I don't have a field spell myself.

Star eater is if Ancient Sacred Wyvern is unavailable and I need an offensive monster. I would put Vylon Prism on a level 7 Synchro or put Vylon Cube on a level 8 Synchro, He is very rarely use, but I keep him in case it ever comes a time where I can and need to summon him (his protection is decent).

Light End Dragon is the least use since Vylon Prism serves more of a tribute than a synchro summon.

Photon is often summoned with Ancient Sacred Wyvern.

Utopia is used for his effect

Utopia Ray is a last minute comeback card

Vylon Alpha is a high rarity as well. I would have to use Vylon Cube on Prime Material or Vylon Prism on Airknight.

  • 3 weeks later...

Bump.

Anything with a line through it are cards that have been removed from deck.

I didn't erase them on this topic in case you felt I should've kept them.

Update 1:

Replaced "Noble Knight Gawayn" with "Genex Neutron"

"Trident Warrior" went from three to two.

Replaced "Alexandrite Dragon" with "Wattgiraffe".

Added 'Honest' to the deck

Took away "Wicked Breaking Flambourge" to add "Cestus of Dagla", "Mist Body", and "Fairy Meteor Crush."
