woah its been a long time that i haven't create things in this section (barring my moved Murmuring Sage of Decension that is)

for those who late to the game (post DM technically) or simply do not know about it, this card game is originally not named "Duel Monster". in fact Pegasus J Crawford himself in manga originally named the game as Magics & Wizards, which is obvious tribute by Kazuki Takahashi to legendary tabletop and trading card games that is Dungeons & Dragons and Magic the Gathering, both made by Wizard of the Coast.

alluding to this fact i want to made an Archetype whose its effects is to implementing the very "rulings" of the MTG right from the start of the duel. which ranging but not limited to: Summoning Sickness, Battle Management Mechanism, Card Tapping, Health systems, and etc.

the result is Cast-Father, an Archetype compose of DARK Dragon-type (which is nod for Dungeons & Dragons game) happen to be a Nomi Monster that required to be summoned from your hand by its own procedure if possible by setting several cards (often specific ones) on the field to face-downs (like Magic's Mana tapping). but this is not a cheap cost since cards that set by this effects cannot be Flipped or Activated until your next standby phase

each of them has 2 effect: "personal effects" and "ruling effect". personal effect is various individual effect that you actually played to progress the game, while the ruling effects is the one that implementing MTG ruling into the game. the ruling effect here all have same wording:

"If this card in your Possession during your 1st turn of the duel: you can and must reveal this card from that Location; when this effect resolve, all monster in either player Possession gain this effect for the rest of the duel, also return this card to its original Location (if this card is returned to your deck, shuffle it)

● [Effect]"

so essentially the ruling effect is retrofitting player cards to gain a set of effects that is mimicking the nature and the rule of MTG for the rest of the duel.

Trivia: as for the naming sense. its Cast as in casting magic and Father. so its roughly means as the "origins of magic" or " the ones that master or cast the magic first" reflecting how yugioh is the next lineage from magics

now on to the cards

Could you explain why they are all level 9? It would be hard to summon them with those summoning conditions. Unless there;s something i DONT understand and this should be in the advanced section. Please explain.

oh

technically back at the early DM era (before battle city arc basically) the highest Level for monster is 8 (barring certain number of cards), which is Blue-Eyes White Dragon. these guys being Level 9 is meant to show that the Cast-Fathers hierarchy is higher from the start

technically they not that hard to summon at the end... Aleph-Na'gus Rule Effect "allow" you to Normal Summon them without Tribute. you don't have to worry that with those 0/0 stat the monster is gonna waste if eventually you gonna use it for Special Summon another one effectively resetting the Stat to its original value ready to be flip on next turn

it will be alot more easier once i finished some permanent S/T (Continuous, Field, Equips kinda count) since you basically can set Cast-Father S/T to summon these guys , although to be fair im quite busy lately and haven't touch this again
