[OCG] Structure Deck R 04: Tyrannos

This product has the same content as the previous Structure Deck R decks:
-40 cards
-1 additional card
-1 token
-1 rulebook
-1 playing guide
-1 dueling field
-A generic statement on how this is a revised strategy of the old deck, it has new cards and reprints, it’s ready to be played, and it works for both beginners and seasoned players, just like all the other Structure Deck R decks.

The release date is the 25th of Febraury, 2017.

As for trivia and what the deck may be about, the old deck is named 恐竜の鼓動. The difference lies in the first word (恐竜 vs. 恐獣). In the first deck, 恐竜 is the name of the Dinosaur Type. In this new Structure Deck R, 恐獣 is a term used in the name of some “Tyranno” monsters, such as Super Conductor Tyranno, the cover of SD09. So an appropriate name may be “Tyranno’s Rage”. There are only 4 monsters in the OCG whose name contains “恐獣”:

•Ultimate Tyranno (究極恐獣)
•Super-Ancient Dinobeast (超古代恐獣)
•Super Conductor Tyranno (超伝導恐獣)
•Black Tyranno (暗黒恐獣)

Super-Ancient Dinobeast is not a “Tyranno” monster in the TCG, and conversely, Tyranno Infinity is not a “恐獣” monster in the OCG (ディノインフィニティ == Dino Infinity) and Galaxy Tyranno’s name doesn’t have the right Kanji, even if it’s read “Tyranno” too. The deck will probably focus on the bigger Tyrannos that don’t have name discrepancies, but having so few Dinosaur-Type monsters, we’ll most likely see some old favorites too.

I own about 7 cards and one of the old dinosaur structures is among them. Super Conducter Tyranno was the best card when I was like 11, his only weakness Sakaretsu Armour. We didn't own anything that could beat over him, still don't. This is hype. Please don't be sheet. Could do with a good dinosaur archetype.

despite my excitement  im actually doubt we gonna get a proper archetype. since this line of Structure Deck apparently just a redo of the original content (duh). the closest we could predict that it gonna be like Felgrands in Structure Deck R: Revival of the Divine Dragon, which become a series... but at least its a fairly good series that also act as generic options for deck building, and i think dinosaur in general kinda need it.

Dinosaurs don't even have a hundred members yet. It doesn't even average twenty cards per series. There are more Psychic types than Dinosaurs. There is pnly fifteen more Dinosaurs than Elemental HEROs. We need something to help us.

As for my guess, I'd say it will focus on Tyranno Infinity's and Super Conductor's strategies.

Something along the lines of:
If destroyed/sent to the Graveyard: You can banish it, and if you do, banish 1 Dinosaur from your hand/deck and Special Summon 1 from your hand/deck with the same name.

Giving Super Conductor a way to get Summoned and speed up Tyranno Infinity's ATK boosting, taking away its dependence on Survival Instincts.

 

Nah, these days support goes past my expectations and what I just suggested wouldn't be nearly enough support these days. Or at least not nearly fast enough. 

 

 

 

 

I remember there was a special edition of the original Dinosaur deck (at least in TCG) which is where Five Headed Dragon was originally brought to TCG. Even though it did not mix with the deck whatsoever. Hmm.....
